For a short, sweet moment it seemed as if everything went according to plan: the earth split open, a couple of Searchers went and began investigating the lava up close, and began acting up rather...oddly. It didn't take long for Carlos to figure out what, once he saw the familiar light of Digivolution in the distance: they were calling for backup, and boy what backup they had: a large digimon that not only was capable of coherent speech, but also seemed quite smart.
Or at least, smarter compared to these glorified D-Reaper drones, enough to try and close off the lava rifts and sending the searchers to find whoever was responsible for them.
Even if it was somewhat naive of him, Carlos for a moment had silently hoped things could have been easy for a change. As he tried to calm himself and think of another way to approach the situation, Desmond once again came up with what seemed like a solid enough plan, even if it involved something that Carlos was very much not in favor of: splitting up the party.
The man of the poorly bleached hair stood silently for a moment, glancing back and forth between the Petaldramon and the blonde tamer, taking in both the situation and his plan. Once he was done explaining Carlos would stay quiet for a bit longer, before finally speaking up his mind.
"Dude...you are aware how dangerous this plan is, right?" The man said, looking at Desmond with nothing but concern in his face. Sure, he had barely met the guy, but when it came to the D-Reaper he couldn't help himself, he had seen first hand what that thing could to do digimon and humans alike, and he certainly didn't want to deal with carrying the guilt of anything that could happen to him.
"Not any more dangerous than any other plan really, considering what we're facing." Dio was quick to add, not particularly on board with the idea either, but clearly more willing to give it a shot than Carlos. The man glanced at the imp, then back to Desmond, before letting out a somewhat defeated sigh while pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Just...take care of yourselves out there, alright?"
Unlike Silence, Dio didn't really say anything to the small fireball other than giving a somewhat reassuring nod. And Gio? He simply approached Demi for a moment, before giving him a firm pat in the head, and a gentle smile.
"But if you need help just call, ok Demi?"
After all was said and done, both tamer and twins would stand side by side next to Silence, ready to get moving as soon as the next part of the plan started.

"Hm... planning is good and all, but you sure we can really be dragging out feet like this?"
The Witchmon had a right to be concerned. A plan this long-winded - and something that could easily fall apart by the addition of one other element - might not have been the best thing to figure out on the edge of the battlefield. The Scouts were already looking for them, and if they were spotted before the plan got off the ground, maybe the entire operation would end up blown. And as the D-Reaper's eyes neared the group, the sorceress let out an audible sigh. "Well, if I gotta get my hands dirty... this way, kitten."
If the group needed time to think, the Witchmon could at least act as a distraction! The sorceress would sprint out, sitting right on her broom after getting a running start, and conjure a light-blue glyph into her left palm. "Aquary Pressure!" It wasn't just a blast: a tight jet of wire was fired out, like an advanced pressure washer, and a flick of her palm would sever the cable of two of the scouts. This got the attention of two more - and an annoyed growl from the Petaldramon. "Tch... what are you-"
"Mm, thought so. Careful trying to turn this way?" The Witchmon taunted. "My fire trick a bit too much for you?"
Smooth, yes - if the group wanted to capitalize, they had to move!

Demi tried to put on a serious face for a moment trying to act like he wasn't scared but he had to admit that it was daunting. He looked up at Silence as she fist-bumped him and nodded a few times. The little fireball took a deep breath and then looked at Carlos and smiled. "I will!" He said maybe a bit too loud. Turning to take a glance at his tamer who was smiling if only a little bit, the Digimon knew that now was the time to shine. He was about to say something brave but Wicked began speaking. Both Desmond and Demi looked at the Witchmon as she went to get the attention of the Searchers. Demi was about to hold her but she was too quick and was already far away from his tiny arms. Well, now thy didn't have a choice but to execute the plan. The blond tamer took his partner into his arms and looked at his companions and nodded at them. "Meet you inside." He simply said before darting toward the Petaldramon hoping that Wicked had distracted him enough. As the duo got closer and closer, Desmond slowed down and crouched near the lava. The heat of the hot magma made his glasses fog a bit making him lower them to be able to see anything. Demi hopped off into the red lava feeling a rather comfortable warmth within him. Without waiting any longer, the fireball closed his eyes for a second and submerged himself into the flow of lava. It was now that Desmond took out his Digivice and pressed a combination of buttons making the device shoot a beam of light into the red magma. Feeling the heat pulsing around him, Demi's body began transforming into his strongest form, SaintMeramon. His giant body busted from the ground with his bionic limbs reaching high into the air and the Digimon looked at the Petaldramon. Desmond had to squint his eyes and take a step back to be able to see clearly. Part of him wanted to look at his companions but he knew that he had to see if Demi was successful at taking the attention. He took out his deck of cards and quickly picked one and used it to Digi-Modify his partner. He used the SaberLeomon card's Nail Crusher ability to increase his chance of getting through the Petadramon's guard. If the flower head didn't notice them by now, Demi sure made an entrance by busting out of the lava right next to him. Without wasting another moment, his giant bionic arm went to grab whatever part of the D-Reaper's Digimon was closest to him and try to hold him in place for him to unleash his strongest attack, the Heated Lance. The large lance began glowing brightly and lunged forward to strike the Petaldramon hoping that this attack combined with Carlos' Gigabyte Glitchmagma card would be enough to make that Petaldramon focus on the fire giant giving the rest of the group a clear path to the nest
Combat Log
- Demi Digivolved into SaintMeramon! - Desmond used SaberLeomon Card! NS-14 Card Name: SaberLeomon Type: Digimon Rank: Platinum Nail Crusher: The target Digimon focuses all of its energy into its forelimbs, then ravages the opponent's guard.- Demi tries to grab the Petaldramon and use Heated Lance on it! Active: Heated Lance: SaintMeramon can overheat his lance making it hot enough to melt Chrome Digizoid. His lance turns into a white color of pure heat and greatly enhance his power. The temperature gets hotter as it goes but it can only last for 3 turns or the Bionic arm shuts down to cool for another 3 turns. He can decide to cool down his arm during these 3 turns before overheating but can only use it after 1 turn for the Chrome Digizoid to cool down.

Carlos seemed to think that the plan was dangerous; honestly with this entire situation anything was dangerous. There wasn’t much they could do other than take risks when it came to the D-reaper. When it came to those under it’s control. She figured that by now that the man would realize that. She had for the most part accepted this…
Silence flicked an ear and glanced to dio as he spoke; not any more dangerous than any other plan? Honestly they could of tried nuking the nest from a high altitude but she doubted that would of worked properly. She’d grit her teeth and nod along with the others. They would help if they needed it…
And then came what wicked said, she winced a bit and rubbed at her neck. Yeah they really should've gone right after that to utilize on the surprise factor. Now the enemy was more aware but… They were being cautious. Overly so. So much that they lost that element and had nothing to really make up for it.
Wicked made an attack of her own which spurred on Demi and Desmond to action. The wolf glancing at the other two. They had to act quick; as quick as they could. With desmond, wicked and demi acting as bait the other four would be able to move forward. Four scouts, the petaldramon against… well the two digimon and partners. Seemed even if the scouts didn’t have any real way of fighting.
”Drinks on me then…”
Growling to herself the shutmon took off running, they were in the thick of it now. They’d have to skip past this intial opening with hopes that they could get further in before they were accosted again. But there was very little they could do to hide the fact that they were moving. The red plaque didn’t exactly give them much to hide behind.
Their only hope as of now was being fast enough to where the petaldramon and the scouts couldn’t react in time!

In hindsight, they should have probably planned all of this a bit more before going into the thick of it, as all their sitting around and planning meticulously was about to bite them in the ass. It took Wicked moving into action for Carlos to realize how much of a group of sitting ducks they were, but thankfully the witchmon's distraction would give them enough time to get going.
"Be careful." Carlos said to Desmond as he returned the nod, before turning back to the other three.
There wasn't much any of the three could do to help out Desmond or the others in their fight, other than try to make the distraction worth it. The man took off running behind the shutmon, the twins following after him, both of them still in rookie form so as to not bring any unnecesary attention their way. There wasn't much in the way of hiding places along their path, so all they could do was hope the scouts would be too distracted by the ensuing fight to notice them. Or at least, distracted for long enough.

"What in the..."
Did something bright just flick through his peripheral vision - and dive into the lava? Briefly distracted by the sorceress, the Petaldramon's attention was once more drawn to that artificially generated pool of lava. Tch... Fragment Village really couldn't leave well-enough alone, could they? In the next few moments, an entire beast of flame - some absurdly powerful Meramon - would rear up and make his appearance. So that damn witch brought help? It wasn't here to waste time, either: it would try and grab right at the scruff of the Petaldramon's neck, and aim to burrow a heated spear right into its face.
Though, as it was grabbed, the beast didn't remain passive! "Little fly!" It growled in annoyance, and would rear its back up. If Demi wanted to get that shot in, he was going to have to hang on tight - and even as that heated staff would burrow into his hide, the beast would grit its fangs. It had already sent a number of vines down into the ground to try and stem the flow of lava...
... So he was already in the position to counter! "Thousand Spike!" From below, those same vines would now shoot up - several wooden vines, twisting around each-other into sharp tendrils, intent on wrapping tightly around the smaller Digimon's waist. For what he had planned, it would be much easier if the beast stayed still... As for the four that pressed on? Well, Withcmon and Demi would prove to be an effective diversion, but they had managed to split the group up pretty quickly - and the sounds of that fight weren't going to go unnoticed by those further in. In fact, the four of them might feel something off, something beginning to fall from the air.
... Rain? Now, of all times?
"Oh dear me, this just won't do! Think you can handle the rougher-looking one, hun?"
"Ya just gotta ask!"
Two more - this nest might not have been advanced enough to produce complex agents like a 'Paratice Head', but with so many dedicated protectors, it could very easily reach that state! The Gigasmon was far from subtle, the armored beast barreling forward - intent on lowering its heavy fist down on the Shutmon with a heavy, chopping right. The Ranamon herself would take aim at the rookies, a spear of sharpened ice clenched in each of her hands. She'd grin, and hurl one after the other... both right towards the chest of the Guilmon.
The Petaldramon rears its head back, to attempt to remove the leverage Demi has with the ground. It uses 'Thousand Spike', attempting to grapple the mega from below.
Gigasmon uses 'Rock Wrecker', using an empowered physical move to try and axe down the Shutmon.
Ranamon uses 'Icicle Spear', creating two sharpened javelins to hurl at her target. And that target is a dinosaur's sternum.

As to be expected, it didn't take long for the now group of four to run into more trouble. As soon as they heard those two voices speak up the trio halted their run immediatelly, their eyes meeting the two new figures blocking their path. A relatively petite Ranamon and a large and bulky Gigasmon, quite the contrating duo, but the twins didn't have much time to process their new foes before they found themselves under attack, the taller of the two aiming to strike the Shutmon, whilst the smaller aimed to plunge two ice spikes into Gio's chest.
Had he reacted a moment later, he'd probably would have been impaled into the ground, but mere seconds before the cold projectiles met their mark the guilmon's body would cease to stay solid, the scaly creature practically poofing into a small cloud of black smoke which the spears went through harmlessly, burying themselves into the red vines that made the ground. Another moment later and the cloud would converge again, the shape of a near feral looking lizard reforming in its place.
Gio would glare at the Ranamon, snarling while his pupils turned into slits as light swallowed his and his brother's frame, the two growing in size in an instant. Soon the ultimate level Black Wargrowlmon and Neo Devimon found themselves staring down the other two digimon with intensity...Dio in particular doing so quite literally, as a red hot beam of energy soon shot from his eyes, aimed at the Gigasmon to help keep him off from Silence. If they were to follow with the plan, they had to keep these two busy for her to continue along.
Carlos, realizing his chance to help aid the Shutmon further, quickly took out his D-Arc and swiftly swiped a card through it.
"Silence, go!" Was all the warning he gave before the card took effect, after which if everything went according to plan, the Shutmon would simply vanish. Or at least, that's what it would seem to the naked eye, but it would most certainly help distract the duo away from her.
"Sorry, you're fighting us now."
Gio avoids the Ranamon's attack with Shade Form before digivolving, after which Dio aims to strike at the Gigasmon with Red Ray. Carlos meanwhile uses the card Shadowform on Silence.
Red Ray: Fires a long ranged (100ft) red energy beam from his visor. This attack is not particularly powerful damage wise, but can easily pierce through armor of its same level and below. Three posts cooldown.
Shade form: Gio turns his body into pure black smoke and disappears, before reappearing again at a desired location within 10 feet of distance. 2 post cooldown.
Card used: DA-24 Card Name: Shadowform Type: Modify Rank: Silver Duration: 1 Post Effect: The target Digimon turns invisible for three posts, only casting a shadow when exposed to direct light. This effect ends when the duration expires, uses a named ability, or the target Digimon is damaged.
Cooldowns:
Red Ray: (0/3)
Shade Form: (0/2)

Step one was complete; distracting the petaldramon so that they could move on. She was grateful that Demi and desmond were so workable; even if they had a little hiccup with the starting off bit. The shutmon gritted her teeth as that battle was left behind them. However…
They quickly ran into another wall of sorts; a pair of digimon. A ranamon and a Gigasmon. She had run into both before on her travels; not these ones specifically she figured but she knew that one was a more caster ranged type while the other was more of a brawler… And if this one was anything?
"One near one far huh...?"
Well he followed suit very well; bringing his fist down in an easy to read chopping right. It didn’t take much for the shutmon to kick off of the ground, launching herself backwards for a moment. He was a wide, powerful sort and her sword was already in hand. If she could hold them-
She didn’t have the option of that choice. With how quickly the others reacted alongside her. The other two digivolved and she found her blade vanishing from her view as well. They had done something to her body and without even saying anything the shutmon kicked off the ground up, up up… and then took off running.
She didn’t know how long this effect would last, how long she had or if the others had any senses that would provide them a way of seeing her. But she knew that she could trust these three to keep them in place. She knew that deep down that she could trust them.
K had trusted them before.
So why shouldn’t she?
The shutmon wouldn’t even give the group a second glance; to do so would be an insult to everything they had in mind here. They had a plan; they had a need to get in deeper and deeper. They needed to destroy that kernal. They needed to fight what they could. Hopefully whatever guardian was around the kernal was something the shutmon could handle. If not this was going to be a very dizzying raid of sorts…

It seemed that Demi's assault didn't work as planned. The Petaldramon used his vines to entangle the SaintMeramon making the fire giant move his head to look at the dispersing lava. Trying to keep his hold on the evil Digimon, Demi tightened his grip with his bionic arm as strongly as he could. His lance was trying to strike even if the Petaldramon was trying to hold him with his vines. The SaintMeramon knew that his body of fire wasn't enough to burn those vines seeing that they resisted the lava. He would have a find a clever way to get rid of the pesky vines but for now, he just tried to hold that head of the D-Reaper's ally and lunge that lance straight into his face. With the flow of the lava getting stemmed, Desmond took a chance and tried to get just a tiny bit closer to the action. Carefully trying to not fall into the lava and die, the blond tamer could clearly see that his partner needed his help. The Frenchman stay stoic and silent as Demi began grunting and growling. The tamer knew that fire was Demi's strongest weapon but that Petaldramon was quite resistant to it, they would need to take another kind of way to damage that Digimon. Desmond looked at his cards once more to see what could affect that beast. He tried to keep his cool and the heat around him and his heart pounding like a drum was not helping at all. He didn't want the Petaldramon to see him in case that it would go after him. But he had to get close enough to be of any help for his partner. After a short second, Desmond took out his V-Saber Card. With Demi's left arm grabbing the head of the evil Digimon, his right arm might be in range to strike in tandem with his lance. The blond tamer swiped the card on his Digivice and UlforceVeedramon's V-Saber materialized on Demi's right arm of flames. Demi felt the lightweight glowing blade attached itself on his wrist and without thinking any further, tried to stab the Petaldramon with it. His Heated Lance was still active so the SaintMeramon would try to strike in tandem with the V-Saber. Hoping that at least one of them would hit, the fire giant grunted once more, this time louder than before. Desmond wiped the sweat off his forehead and placed the card back into his deck. He wouldn't be able to use it again but he still had a few cards available. He wasn't sure if it would be wise to use all of his strongest one in this fight though. He had the strange feeling that there were more to face once they get inside that nest. The thought of having to enter the nest made Desmond look away from the fight for a second to see hos his companions were doing. He couldn't see clearly because of the heat of the lava in front of him but he could see the vague shape of two other Digimon, or whatever they could be. He should have known that distracting that Petaldramon wouldn't have been enough. but he didn't have time to think of that right now. Demi had to take care of that evil Digimon and then go help the rest of his team as soon as possible. And that meant that they might have to forget trying to defend and go for aggressive offense. It wasn't going to be easy.
Combat Log
- Demi is still trying to hold on to the Petaldramon! - Desmond used the V-Saber card!
WG-32 Card Name: V-Saber Type: Upgrade Rank: Platinum Duration: 3 Post Effect: The target Digimon summons UlforceVeedramon's V-Saber. It is a swift and lightweight blade that pierces through armor. - Demi attacks with both the Heated Lance and the V-Saber!

"Heh!" As Silence would give a leap back, that fist would slam right into the ground where the Shutmon previously stood. Even against the odd surface, the ground itself seemed to shake on impact, a heavy amount of force given with that one blow. Heck, even the golem felt the impact all the way to his shoulder, Gigasmon lifting his arm up, rotating it around his shoulder to loosen him up. "Oh, you'll be a fun one to play with - hm?"
Wait... did the wolf just pull a fast one on him? One moment she was there, and the next, not - but it didn't even look like she did anything. The moment Carlos spoke up, however, the golem's eyes turned to focus on the human, clutching onto one of those cards. Aha! "Heh, look at this man here, tryn'a act like the clever one! Well, if you want to make this fun..."
The Gigasmon grinned, just as that Red Ray came, tearing out in his direction. He raised both arms into a cross-arm block, the piercing energy breaking through the outer layer of rock, even skimming into the data underneath. Though he didn't seem to react to the pain.
... Rather, his body gave an odd pulse - and a red plaque, similar to the surface they were standing on, began to surround his body. The beast stood, arms off to the side, as it would surround him completely, his figure now more like an emotionless humanoid shape rather than a proper 'digital monster'. "❄︎♒︎♏︎■︎ ♓︎ ♍︎♋︎■︎ □︎♌︎●︎♓︎♑︎♏︎."
Just as before, no subtlety was left with its approach. Heck, it didn't even seem to heed Dio as the primary threat - it would instead charge right forth, intent on delivering a shoulder charge right to the Wargrowlmon's chest. That said, it wasn't as if Dio didn't have his own admirer, the Ranamon chuckling as she gave a snap of her fingers. Right above her target, a dark cloud would start to form.
"Tell me, you really think you could afford to send one of your bruisers off like that?" She teased - feeling relatively safe at a distance, especially with the pair of heavy bruisers between the two of them. With a crack, a heavy torrent of corrupt water would pour down, a deluge of rain intent on quickly bringing the NeoDevimon to his knees... though there was more to it than that. Though it ordinarily would have just been an annoying burn?
Well. It was corrupt data - right next to a D-Reaper nest. If it built up too much, the red plaque would start to build up on the demon's body himself! Their little trick would bring Silence deeper into the nest - but it would also isolate her off from the rest of the group, and bring her closer to the center. And, unfortunately, that Shadowform card wasn't absolute - it only mattered inasmuch as her opponent would rely on their eyes.
And there was one D-Reaper agent that didn't rely on eyesight at all.
ADR-006 - Horn Striker Front-Line Bruiser
'Horn Striker'. Perhaps alerted that an invisible opponent would be coming this way, the odd, herculean agent - easily twice the Shutmon's size - would seemingly lock its eyes right onto her. And it would charge, arms outstretched as it gave a piercing howl, intent on getting an arm or a hand around the wolf, by any means necessary. It was an agent, after all - so long as it attacked from the front, on its own, it could likely succeed even if it took a heavy hit or two. It might not have been enough to immediately burn the vines, but the SaintMeramon definitely had the advantage in attribute, even if he didn't have it in experience. Those vines would tighten and entangle as best they could, smoke quickly starting to billow out of those vines as the Petaldramon hissed in pain. At the moment, it wasn't really clear who was going to win this grabbing match...
... But it was clear that neither party was going to simply keep it at that. As Desmond flicked through his cards, the Petaldramon would crane open its beak. At that short range, a powerful-looking surge of green energy built up in the plant monster's throat - and a moment later, a practical shotgun blast of dense seeds would tear their way out, intent on battering the SkullMeramon where it stood! Its ordinary intent would have been to seed and plant a powerful plant in the ground - but with the soil tainted with lava, its second-best use would still serve as a short-range blast of shrapnel and debris!
That said, it wouldn't just be the Petaldramon putting on the pain: with the stab of that V-Saber, the beast was forced to backpedal - effectively pulling the SaintMeramon along with him, if he kept that grip! That blade would sink deep into his hide, earning a vicious howl from the wood-spirit - who would now flick his neck, loosen his vines, and attempt to simply toss him off of his body.
It hurt to keep that firey monster close for too long!
Gigasmon initiates 'Red Mode' - and attempts to body-check Gio with a shoulder charge.
With Gigasmon and Gio between them, Ranamon attacks Dio with 'Draining Rain', sending down a torrent of burning, corruptive rain down on its target.
Horn Striker charges Silence in an attempt to grapple.
Petaldramon utilizes 'Harvest Havoc' as a short-range shotgun blast - intent on gunning down the fire-type in its midst.

The first two hurdles were cleared. But that didn’t mean they were out of the woods yet. Her guard didn’t waiver or drop for a moment but there was a small bit of hesitation here or there. How long did this card last? She didn’t even know. She didnt’ think she should rely on it and with the two battles behind her all she could do was move forward and hope that the kernal was close. But that hope was dashed before she got terribly far. A green giant, easily twice her size approached like a god damn freight truck. She was fast yes but there wasn’t quite a lot she could do given the extended reach and speed of which the other was moving at her. It was upon herin a manner that took everything to avoid being grabbed at first. Even for a moment. Her eyes flicked to that cable, she knew she had to destroy it to stop it’s regeneration but where it was would be a problem. She couldn’t use a front-line tactic unless she wanted to burn through it’s entire center body to get to that cable. Which was possible by an immense amount of firepower she figured. During this she was on the backfoot, a sort of stance she wasn’t really good at maintaining; and given the unrelenting nature of the enemy? Well it’d manage to get an arm around the wolf through it’s persistent nature. But in exchange? Silence attempted to drive her blade that was still in hand through it’s midsection, hoping to slice through or damage the cable on the way out. She doubted it would be that easy but this brute of a agent was going to attack her so brazenly she’d at least try to make an honest to god attempt at severing it’s connection first. There would be no way for her to continually avoid it’s grapple and if this didn’t work she had a few other ideas that would probably work. She still had a mega evolution and further still she had that other digivolution that she had trained a bit with another. Though he didn’t seem to think she had good control of it yet… He didn’t need to know that she had been practicing and fighting on her own without him. Log-Silence has been grappled by the Horn Striker -Though during the grapple she has attempted a melee attack of her own, trying to slice through the cable by stabbing the reaper and destroying the cable’s connection on the way out. Current Passives: Oathbreaker: Vaccine types take increased damage from this digimon.
Bound: Using it's powerful legs, this digimon may treat even air as solid ground. Allowing it to basically "fly".

With the pesky vines still entangling him, Demi was having a hard time striking the Petaldramon where he wanted. The D-Reaper's ally was one tough Digimon to take down for sure. Desmond knew that the hot magma would dissipate sooner or later now so he might have to try one more fire attack on the giant plant Digimon. With his V-Saber on one hand and the other trying to keep his hold of the evil Digimon, the SaintMeramon went for another slash of the UlforceVeedramon's V-Saber. His Heated Lance stop glowing before it would be too hot for the bionic arm to handle. With the lance out of the equation, for now, he would have to rely on other attacks. However, as the lance retracted away, the Petaldramon opened his beak and shot many debris and shrapnels at him. Luckily, Demi had his Chrome Digizoid Armor that would hopefully, protect him from most of the shrapnels. Unfortunately, half of his face was not covered in armor. The SaintMeramon howled as the various seeds cut part of his mouth. Being so close to him, Demi had to take the hit in order to keep his grip on the plant dragon Digimon. He was happy that he felt basically no pain at all on his bionic arm allowing him to still hold on as much as he could. He wasn't going to let that Petaldramon get away from him. Desmond looked down at the ground counting backward in his head to keep calm. The ground was still lava but not for long and that would allow him to get closer and ready to run if they managed to defeat that evil Digimon. Well, he didn't need to delete the Petadramon. He could just cripple him enough so that he wouldn't be able to chase after them. However, the blond tamer didn't want to reveal himself just yet so he did crouch down so that the Petaldramon wouldn't be able to see him. the Petaldramon was most likely too busy look at his partner anyway. But Desmond did not take any chance for now and did his best to stay hidden. With the Petaldramon beak wide open, Demi quickly realized that he too can shot things from his mouth. And that thing is more fire. Using his left arm to pull the evil Digimon as close as he could, the fire giant growled at his enemy. Trying to inhale air, which was quite hard with his lower part of his face hurting, the SaintMeramon used his Breath of Fire hoping that the other Digimon's beak was still open. Perhaps the inside of the D-Reaper's ally wasn't as fireproof as the rest of his body. Desmond held his breath as he saw Demi spew fire from his mouth into the face of the Petadramon and silently cheered in his head. The V-saber would still last for a bit longer so he didn't have to use another card right away. It would be wiser to keep them for later
Combat Log- Demi is still holding on! - Demi Heated Lance is on Cooldown!
- Demi used Breath of Fire aiming for Petaldramon's beak!
Active: Breath of Fire: SaintMeramon can spew a breath of intense fire at close range. It is much stronger than a fireball but can only affect things that are in close cone radius. He can hold on the breath for a maximum of 5 turns, each increasing the heat but it takes that long to recover. It has a cooldown equal to the number of turns the breath lasted. - V-Saber still active for 2 posts!

While their distraction had proven succesful, there was little for the trio to celebrate, as they now had to contend with two D-Reaper sympathizing digimons. The man bit his lip as the Gigasmon adressed him, Gio quickly taking a step forward to position himself between the two, silently daring the giant to try and make any moves against his tamer. As it turned out, he had something else in mind. Carlos' heart nearly jumped out of his chest as he saw that red plaque surrounding the Gigasmon, giving the man quite a big flash from the past, as he recognized immediatelly what this meant. He had seen it before, on a Meicrackmon a year ago. He wanted to yell at Gio to be careful, but it was already too late and there was little the man could do other than moving out of the way as fast as he could. As Gio was struck by the Gigasmon's shoulder he would let out a snarl, his metallical chest somewhat cushioning the impact but the hit still causing the entirety of the armor to practically vibrate from the hit. But of course, he wouldn't just stand there and take it, and he soon seized the opportunity now that his foe was standing right next to him: His mechanical arms would reach forward, trying to wrap themselves around the Gigasmon back, his claws would try and clutch at the golem to try to keep him in place and as close to Gio as possible while the dragon's chest began glowing with power. And for a short moment, Gio almost looked like he was grinning, his eyes glowing in anticipation at whas was to come. "Mistake." Was all he said as a wave of pure blisteringly hot energy shot out from it, aiming to blast the Gigasmon at point blank range provided his grab worked, if not...well he would probably look quite silly. It would probably not knock him down, and the retaliation would surely come regardless, but it was worth it for such a clear shot. Dio however wasn't having as much of an "easy" time, as he found himself on the receiving end of a literal rain of corrupted data. Obviously, it was pretty much impossible for one to dodge rain drops, and while not immediatelly damaging, Dio could feel the corruption slowly but surely building up on his soon to be soaked body, so much so it almost felt like the red plaque ground he was standing on was reacting to it. But that could only be his imagination, right? At any rate, he still didn't simply stay put either, as with a flap of his wings he took to the air and lunged for the Ranamon, glowing claws aiming to take a swipe at the humanoid digimon's frame. She wanted corruption? Two could play that game... Gio takes Gigasmon's Red Mode enhanced hit and immediatelly retaliates with a point blank Ascalon Ray. Dio tries to attack Ranamon with Viral Infection while he takes damage from Draining Rain
[RAM Upgrade Giga Passive] Axon Charge: Due to Gio’s rather odd upbringing and traces of his old demon lord data, his body and very core react to physical trauma in an different way. On top of an increased tolerance to pain, every time Gio receives damage from a named move he stores a part of the attack’s energy within him, giving him a charge. He can store up to five of these charges. Every charge gives him a 5% increase in damage to all of his named moves, though he loses a charge for every two turns without receiving damage. Furthermore he can spend all five charges to create a medium ranged explosion around him causing heavy damage to up to two targets, but can’t gain charges for the next two turns. Axon Charges: 1/5 Damage increase: 5%
Ascalon Ray: Gathers power within the Ascalon Cannon in his chest and fires off a large beam of pure energy in a cone in front of him. It’s strong enough to pierce shields and ignore defensive buffs, but it’s inaccurate at long distances. 4 turns cooldown.
Viral Infection: Punctures the enemy with his claws, injecting them with poison, causing great pain and mild damage over time. Poison lasts for a turn, and if the target is hit again by an attack before it wears off it takes 50% additional damage. Three posts cooldown.
Cooldowns:
Red Ray: (1/3)
Viral Infection: (0/3)
Shade Form: (1/2)
Ascalon Ray: (0/3)

If Silence had plans on being grabbed, well, maybe she'd regret it in the moments that followed.
Because, yes - the Horn Striker would get his arms around Silence, and she would feel a tight grip around her back as its arms got around the wolf. The blade would sink, seemingly effortlessly into the beast's midsection - though a flick of its back was all it took to push it out of the way of the cable. However, that's when the situation probably went against Silence's expectation:
The Horn Striker had no intent to maintain the grapple. No, no, that was way too risky, especially with a sword-wielding Digimon who probably had options at close range. Instead, the ultimate would likely feel a sharp grip around her hips, as the agent would lift the wolf up - and hurl her backwards, intent on crashing the Shutmon's upper back, and the back of her head, against the hard surface of the ground below. This nest was already infected with the malice of the Dark Area... and now Silence was going to feel the full brunt of it. What timing!
Demi definitely picked a good time to strike - that close range torch would hit right at where the Petaldramon's armor was weakest, and it showed. A high-pitch cry of pain was released from the beast, the ultimate rearing its back up to full force, desperately trying to escape the fire-type's grip... to no real avail. Left in this situation?
The beast had no option. A sharp surge of light surrounded his body, and the SaintMeramon would feel the figure literally slip away from its hands. Several yards back, a much weaker Digimon would take shape - an Arbormon - its frame already charred with black smoke and burns. Rearing back up to its full height, the spirit wielder would glare towards the tamer - and turn on its heel, making a mad dash towards the center of the nest.
He knew better than to stick with this bad match-up, at this point. 'Mistake'?
Gio might have made one: the moment those arms would wrap around his target, the WarGrowlmon might already be seeping with regret. The red-caked veil of the Gigasmon already burned on impact, and as those arms would wrap around his back, he'd hear an audible sizzle as the data-eating force already began to burn at his armor. And really, the Gigasmon didn't want to hear it at this range.
"■︎♓︎♑︎♒︎⧫︎ ■︎♓︎♑︎♒︎⧫︎!"
Another inaudible screech - and the Gigasmon would raise both hands up, into a tight fist, and attempt to swing them right down on the dragon's head like a heavy hammer - just as those twin lasers would blast at short range. The Gigasmon was betting on his durability here, and though that cannon would pierce deep? Well, even as that heavy damage burned through his chest, he hoped that this one strong blow to the WarGrowlmon's head would send it for a loop.
The Ranamon, meanwhile, just found herself chuckling at the sight of her prey. It wouldn't just be an illusion: the red plaque would, indeed, already be creeping up Dio's feet and even crusting the outside of his wings. Hm? "Hun, you think if you cut the distance, you'll have a better time?"
She chuckled - and her frame pulsed with a powerful blue light. What was just a small water type was replaced with something that easily dwarfed Dio's size - and poisoned claw or not, the newly-formed Calmaramon would strike a tentacle out, intent on trying to grasp the demon right out of the air.
"No, trust me. We can play up close and personal."
Horn Striker is pierced - but counters with a powerful throw.
The Petaldramon reverts back to Arbormon to break the grapple - and turns to flee!
Gigasmon attempts to slam down on Gio's head with a tight fist...
... And Calmaramon attempts to try and pluck Dio out of the air.

Silence grunted as she could feel those tight arms around her. She could feel the blade sink in and seemingly was able to get through most of it. Though unfortunately it didn’t get the cable in the slightest; as though it knew it’s weak point and knew how to avoid getting hit from the front like that. She’d growl and struggle in it’s grip for a moment; only to find that the other gripped her sharply around the hips. She felt herself be thrown and upon crashing against the ground she’d grunt again. This time in clear pain; she’d use the momentum to roll herself over and take stock of herself for a second. She just took a pretty decent hit to her head and her back but it wasn’t anything that’d put her down on it’s own. Spinning her sword around a few times she’d consider her options. She could digivolve. She could push herself further beyond anything she saw in front of her. She could force this brute of an agent to it’s knees. It was strong yes, but they needed to get to the kernal and she wasn’t about to be stopped here. But that felt wrong. Either evolution felt wrong unless her back was to the wall… But this was the D-reaper! It required her everything. To do otherwise would be an insult to the ones that she took this mission for. It would be an insult to herself and to the enemy in front of her. She was a fool thinking that she could do this simply in her ultimate form. Was it a waste? She didn’t know. She really didn’t. But they needed to get there and if this agent was all that was standing in her way… So she’d go the entire distance without regret. She’d grip her hands tightly around her sword. Shifting her stance ever so and flipping her blade around in a ready stance. But rather than attack her body was taken up in such a brilliant digital light that it wouldn’t be hard to see it. Even from the other two battles if you looked for it. It’s not like they were miles upon miles apart. The sheer amount of energy that radiated from her was not unlike her previous iteration. But in comparison it was far less gentle. This energy was brash. Bold. Fierce. The light faded away and the warrior that remained afterwards was in quite a different pose. Her ready stance was far more open, her eyes were much harder. Hidden behind that visor. It’d analyze the creature before it and widen it’s stance accordingly. This digimon hadn’t grown in size at all but it’s destructive power had increased almost sixteen times over. And unlike the previous iterations. There was sound. But instead of this powerful silence there was something else. A freezing edge to the world around her, a powerful intensity that was only matched by the stance the wolf took. ”It was an insult to this to consider even for a moment not to use this form. We should of come at you with everything we had. You’re already going all in; so it’s only fair”A Knight’s code was hardly something to laugh at; she felt it burning brightly in her chest. Warping around her form, she felt it crawling along her skin. She felt this wicked edge of this place grating on her skull. But that was just something that everyone here had to live with. Without the bounty of their protector. The mons here would never truly be safe; but at least the ones that came to this nest could try to alleviate their suffering. Log: -Silence has taken some damage from the agent. -Silence ponders what to do for a moment before making her choice. Digivolving to OmegaShutmon. Passives: Hypothermia|Combat Passive: This ability projects a large freezing air effect around omegashutmon. Individuals that are within 150 feet of omegashutmon find their movement's slowed by 5% the moment they step within this range. For each posting round that an individual is within this range this slow increases by 5% up to a maximum of 30%. Staying outside of this range or using fire to reverse the freezing effect is possible.
Knight of the Mausoleum|Combat Passive: This digimon's body is freezing to the touch and the digimon itself leaves behind frozen tracks as though it had flash frozen each step. Additionally this digimon is unaffected by the cold itself making Ice based moves ineffective against it. While fire moves deal increased damage due to her frozen body.
Permafrost|Combat Passive|RAM UPGRADE: Every blade, every weapon of legend has a name. Every person that wields them falls into the abyss of the forgotten long before their weapon’s names are. This blade, as named by K herself before passing on is one of the few things she left to her successor. This blade is made out of a strange digichrome, hardened by the ice of the frozen mausoleum itself permafrost cannot be broken by normal means.
Further still, it is a catalyst of sorts, cultivating and soothing. It’s very presence allows for OmegaShutmon to persevere in such a way that many would not. It is a symbol, a symptom of a better world that those that get a glimpse of hardly let go. And within that symbol is a power. A power that can hardly be explained with simple words. Yet here we are, doing exactly that.
Permafrost’s power is simple.
For every attack that connects with an enemy target OmegaShutmon herself finds herself attuning further to the blade. Further still to the glimpse of that world, to that symbol. This attunement pushes her further, pushes her abilities to their limit. Her Damage input increases by 50% for two posts, which she cannot attune further with the blade during this time. She may start attuning to the blade the post after the attunement wears off. One post cooldown between activations.
