Boss, for the first time in a while, seemed incredibly embarrassed. He scratched the back of his head whilst Silence cooked. You could probably even see a small blush on his face if you looked close enough. When she asked if he had time for anything, that’s when his normal demeanor returned, but he gave a rather somber sigh. It was a bad habit that he never got rid of. He always had to multi-task at work, so his mind was just going back to the days where he had to put his nose to the grind and keep at it until he got what he wanted, almost like with his training.
“I do, I’ve got all the time in the world. To explain a few things better…” The Tekkenryumon started, shuffling with something behind his back. He pulled out a stark black laminated business card with the symbol of the Dragon’s Roar, with the words “Dragon’s Roar Inn” complete with their multiple locations and a discount if you brought in the card to one of their locations. The stark black ones were his personal ones, which explained the discount in the first place. “I made this inn from complete scratch when I was younger with my friends, so I’m a bit of a workaholic due to that and my training with my master even before that. I retired not too long ago as the CEO, but apparently my mind doesn’t like to think the same. I’ve got good folks running it in my stead, but no one said I can’t…push things in a certain direction if I wanted to. Whole goal was a place you could call home away from home, so it’s personal.” Boss explained, scratching the back of his head again in mild embarrassment.
“It also helped me make some connections, so at the very least, we can restock this place for absolutely no cost. I know some folks that are…basically indebted to me for reasons I won’t say, but did involve me kicking their ass across the coliseum and back.” Boss chuckled as he took the bowl of stew and got to eating.
The idea of resting seemed super appeasing since he’d been up for three straight days. He wouldn’t tell her that he’d stayed up longer before, but that was more due for work reasons than for anything fun. Boss took a few gulps of the stew, his eyes widening at the taste. Simple, but extremely effective.
“Oh, definitely. I could probably go on about my life if someone got me started,” he said, waving a hand nonchalantly at the Shutmon.
