Honestly he was glad that they reached an understanding right there. There was a medium of respect that went both ways. An ear flick, a meeting of the eyes, that nod. They wouldn’t have a problem here. There was even the small edge of a smile on the wolf’s face. He’d quirk his head to one side as the other told him what time it was. It was near 10:00? He had been working sometime near noon last he recalled! How long had he been out? How long had they spent in his mind?
”A clock would be nice.”
Another flick of his ears and the silvermon’s eyes slid to angel as he was still checking out his cot. Twenty minutes and he would meet their general. A man that he had met maybe once before through the wants and desires of another. He let her go without much more than a nod.
He felt tired.
He felt sore.
His mind… felt strange, like it wasn’t entirely his. Like his energy wasn’t entirely his anymore. That odd sensation of being one with something else. Twenty minutes would go by and the silvermon would find that he had dozed off. Rubbing at his face the mon sat up and pushed himself up from the cot.
A human. Or what would be… considered a human. A masked man that he had met before; that his old spirit wielder had met before. He remembered the black renamon. He remembered the fight that had cleaved them. A small flick, a narrowing of the eyes. A swish of the tail. Little signs of unease. There was a nervousness here; a tired nervousness.
”Yeah. Silver. You’re their general I take it?”
The silvermon’s eyes took in every inch of the man and the wolf stepped forward. Mulling over the appearance, comparing it to what he remembered. Perhaps it was poise? Perhaps it was the way he held his shoulders… but something was different about this man from the last time they met.
”...This would be… The second time we’ve met. Albeit our first meeting was very brief and I wasn’t in control of myself. I recognize you or at least I recognize your... disguise?”

"Hm. For now, simply call me 'General'."
There was too much at risk for Denryu to simply reveal his face now - or even his more commonly-used code name. No, the less Silver knew about the organizational structure around them, the better. Silver's eyes wouldn't be able to glean too much about Denryu's appearance, either: the cloak was light and opaque, able to conceal much of the man's shape.
Indeed, this was the second time they've met - even if both were under unfortunate circumstances. "Honestly, I do come across as the 'memorable' type. As I understand it, my comrades have already informed you of our offer. That said, you may find the methods used to draw the lightning to the surface... unpleasant."
Angel, in the background, gave a snort. "Like it or not, you aren't a Xros like we are. You can't just learn to 'shoot a lightning bolt' and hope for it to work if your body's not designed for it."
"Nor are we going to set about modifying your body. Our method is going to much much more direct - thanks to a tool we were able to procure from the mountains in another job. Simply put... we are going to wrench that data to your outer levels."

”General it is.”
Silver gave a small shrug, honestly he could care less what the general’s name was. He imagined at some point they’d tell him or that they would simply leave it be eventually. With him being unable to gleam much past the shape of the man well… could it even be said that this man was even one? Voice modulation was possible after all…
”Informed me, made a deal and… Unpleasant?”
The silvermon quirked a brow and shifted slightly. Guru said they had the facilities to do so, but he never said that it would be painful or unpleasant. Hearing angel speak he’d lean slightly to one side. He wasn’t an xros this much was true and his body wasn’t made for conducting lightning on it’s own…
They weren’t going to modify his body either?
What were they going to do then? The silvermon frowned a bit and as the general spoke he felt his data chill. They were going to wrench that data to his outer levels? That would be beyond painful, unimaginably so. The deeper levels were deep for a reason… He couldn’t help but wonder how that would affect this form!
”Guru did say you had the facilities for it… not what it would entail. Tch. Devil in the details indeed…”
He found himself muttering and shaking his head; he didn’t regret his choice. No, what he was going to regret was likely the pain he would have to endure to get even a chance to defend himself in the long run. Scratching at his head he’d stare down at the human.
”So if that’s how you’re going to do it; I suppose I should ask. When are we starting and how long of a process is it going to be? I’m not going to bother to ask the chance of survival even if you have run the odds or something.”

"Its a matter of the tools that we have on hand. The method has been vetted, at least."
Well... that didn't exactly inspire confidence, but what choice did Silver had? He was goaded into this entire process, and it wasn't even entirely clear that he was allowed to leave. In fact, where even was this place? Hospitality and understanding or not, the General still held all the chips in this situation. All the Silvermon could do was pry for information.
"We'll be starting tomorrow, roughly 9:00 in the morning. By our estimate, it should take an hour or two." As requested, he didn't entertain that last question, though Angel did: "'More likely than not'. You have something we want, Silver - we aren't going to risk that on some unknown device."
"Angel." With that one word from the General, the Renamon simply rolled her eyes, before returning a nod. The General's attention returned to the wolf. "Now that you're aware, its better that its in a place you can control - rather than brewing inside. Guru's starting the tipping point... its only going to get worse, without intervention."

So they had done this before? Or at least tested it in some venue? The silvermon frowned a little bit and slowly nodded. It didn’t inspire confidence but at least they were being honest with him. Silver shifted and looked from the general to Angel. They were going to start this at nine in the morning? That was fairly early was it not? Then again they probably wanted to take care of things beforehand…
”After it’s been brought to the surface what then?”
At hearing angel he’d flick an ear, noting her eyes motion. Was there discontent between the two of them or… Was this just how she was? The wolf gave a small shrug at her comment. He didn’t have a choice, he had to trust them and that this device would work.
”And this is the intervention? I suppose I can’t really complain.”
The wolf turned his head to look at the cot, he felt tired. He felt hungry. He felt a bit lost and a bit confused still. He’d close his eyes and sighed softly. There wasn’t much he could do here, not much at all. There wasn’t anything to pass his time. Perhaps sleeping and eating was all he could do at the moment…
”Before, Guru said that I was to use it for your purposes. Suffice to say, are you going to tell me before or after all this? That and I doubt that the only step is to get it to rise to the surface, there’s more to all of this still isn’t there? But you’re taking it one step at a time yes?”
The wolf folded his arms and stared at the general, tipping point or no… He was forced to play right into their hands. If he didn’t they’d just keep him here yes? Or find someone else more willing… It was a nasty solution he didn’t particularly enjoy but… He’d do what he could to find out what he could. For his sake mostly.
He just really hoped they didn’t intend to turn him on his home.

'What then'?
It was such a simply worded question, but hearing it put out like that, the General would shake his head. "Then? You control it - or try to. We really don't have a choice at that point. After all, we're dealing with the essence of a Sovereign."
"He might be making this sound more difficult than it is - but honestly, we don't know how 'big' it is. If there's not a lot, it might just fizzle out - and you'll be back to your boring, smithy self."
But if it was more? Well, that much wasn't too clear at this point - nor was their intention with what to do with the wolf.
"Our intentions might change depending on the results of the experiment. All you need to know at this point is that Sovereign data has a unique signal - even at 'equal' levels to a normal Digimon."
"So for now, and for what its worth, think of yourself as a cheap radio." Angel chuckled. "Relax, we don't have anything too bad planned for you. But it might be a bit of rough work..."

Silver’s ears flicked at the notion that he would try to control the power that lay within him. They didn’t have an option other than that as well… so much effort would be strange not to put to some use. The idea that there wasn’t enough in there seemed sort of silly and silver found himself snorting.
”I presume it’s fairly large, I don’t think a memory can harm a visiting observer like guru. As his paw was hurt from the energy there. Don’t know if that carries over or how visiting a memory or something like that works.”
Just how much energy lay down there? Was it capable of replenishing itself? He didn’t know. He’d grit his teeth as the general admitted that their intentions would change depending on the result of the experiment.
”You’re not exactly filling me with confidence here General. But it’s not like I have a choice in the matter. Deal or not; my hands were tied from the start.”
Silver’s eyes flicked to angel as she suggested that he was like a cheap radio. He found a bit of amusement there so he just shook his head to hide the bit of a smile he had on his face. The idea that it was rough work didn’t really affect him all too much though.
”I’m used to rough work and choices. But I’m used to having a little bit of weight in them.”
Silver gave a shrug and glanced at the cot; he was still tired and if they were going to start so ‘early’ tommorow he wanted to be at least well rested. He didn’t know how taxing it would be to have all this energy or data drawn to the surface.
”If you don’t mind; I’m going to go to sleep. I have a feeling I’m going to need it for tommorow.”
Silver gave a small but earnest nod of the head, he’d of course wait for them to leave before flopping onto his ‘bed’. Maybe he’d get lucky and they wouldn’t be able to draw much and he’d be back in his home by the end of the day. But there was this inkling feeling that was not going to be the case.
Just as soon as he closed his eyes did the wolf find them opening to the glaring view of his clock. It was right on the nose of eight; did they need much to set this up? Did they need him wherever they wanted him? Would they want to start early? The silvermon didn’t know. But he’d slowly easy himself out of the cot, finding that he had slept on one of his wings in a somewhat funky way. Rubbing at the wing with a hand to get the ‘needles’ to stop the wolf took in his room again.
It was beyond simple, something that most wouldn’t want unless they wanted for nothing. They weren’t going to put a lot of resources in something that could possibly not turn out the way they planned. He’d stretch a bit and groan.
”Never been late in giving something to someone before… that’s probably my smithy gone by the end of the week if I don’t make it back… tch…”
Silver sighed a bit and looked down at his hands. There was a lot going through his mind and the wolf felt like he could do something that was much more than whatever these people had planned for him.
So far he had met three of them, perhaps four? Knowing that there was a fifth out there didn’t put him at ease and he wasn’t sure how he was going to deal with it down the line. He harbored doubts that they would let him go after taking him to… where-ever this was. Maybe it was just paranoia but he also knew that the world was a cruel place… He had been under that yolk time and time again after all..

"Hm? You're up?"
Around 8:10, the Renamon had come back around to check on their captive. Seeing that Silver was at least sitting up, if not taking stock of the room around them, the fox would tilt her head out of the room. "Alright, c'mon. Food's up, though I hope you're not expecting anything fancy. You need coffee?" At the very least, they weren't going to deprive their guest of breakfast... even if it was just toast, jam, and butter. Metal Drive was far off of their prime, at this point, and had to make ends meet as they could. It wouldn't take long for 9:00 to roll around. A good ten minutes earlier, Guru would have found Silver, and led him on deeper into the base. The wolf would get somewhat a better idea of how this place was built... some sort of circular building, with rooms dotting each side of the hallway.
Had he been here before? It might have felt familiar, to some extent. As Guru would turn to the right, they'd reach another door, leading into a largely-cleared-out storage room. There, they see the general off to the side, as well as a Kokuwamon, working away at the wiring on some sort of metal platform.
"And... that should do it..." Volt would step back, setting a soldering tool aside. The General would nod - and look back towards Silver. "Hm, decent timing, too. Silver, this might not look like too much - but this is what was described to us as a Siphon. Its primary purpose being to extract spirits from the cores of Digimon... though we managed to cull the group that was using it for that purpose."
"Quite an invasive piece of tech, in their hands... and its going to be the same here. It'll be a matter of how closely integrated or 'recognizable' the foreign data is compared to your own..." And the machine sighed, shaking his head, "And either way, its not going to be pleasant. But it'll work."

”Yeah. I don’t think I could sleep any longer if I tried.”
Silver rubbed at his neck, staring at the renamon as they had come back to check on him. He was still on the fence about a lot of this; still unsure to himself in ways that he couldn’t explain to them. But… He had to go through with it; if he didn’t they’d just keep him here and he’d just get replaced by someone more willing he figured.
”I’m not picky. And coffee? Erm… I’ll be okay.”
Silver appreciated the sentiment and was a little surprised to see that all they had on hand was toast, jam and butter… But he wasn’t going to turn down the food they offered. Just how badly was this group needing support? Could they even get supplies at this point? He didn’t really know.
Once guru found him silver’s morning definately got a little more ‘exciting’. He got to see more of the base, there were things that stuck out to him. Things that he understood by looking at them; he had been inside a head of an engineer for a long time… So he understood the way things worked. A circular building with rooms on the outside. It was likely to have a single room at the center, at the back and away from the entrance he bet.
It did feel familiar in a way, some distant way he couldn’t explain. The silvermon hummed and stepping through that door well… There was the general in all his disguised glory as well as a Kokuwamon. He had to assume that was volt. It’d only make sense.
”Well guru did come and find me.”
Silver shook his head and listened to the man as he spoke. A siphon thats primary purpose was to extract spirits from the cores of digimon. They had culled the group that had used it for this purpose… It was an invasive object that would pull that data to the surface where he could hopefully control it.
”Well… Any way you look at it it would of hurt. If there was a slower way of doing this it’d just prolong the pain. Should I be sitting or…?”
Silver motioned at the machine and tilted his head; what were they going to expect? To the others he’d seem fairly muted, numb in a way. Maybe he hadn’t quite locked in what he was doing or where he was. Or perhaps he did and he was trying to prepare himself… That fact would be seen in a few minutes no doubt!

"I would recommend sitting on the platform."
There was an unspoken part to that: he really couldn't imagine Silver being able to stay on his feet for very long, once the process started. The General would give a nod to Volt, and the Kokuwamon would look over to Silver. "Right, right - this way. We have to get everything set in place first..."
Overall, it wouldn't take too long, but maybe Silver would be surprised at the sheer extent of it. There was the siphon itself - essentially a small, metallic platform - but there was also a metal 'cuff' placed around each of his wrists, attached by wires to the siphon. A similar device was attached to each ankle - enough slack given so it wouldn't restrict Silver's movement, but it begged to question the initial design of this machinery. Past this, a number of diodes were affixed to the chest, to keep track of the demon's vitals.
In all, he might end up feeling just a bit 'trapped' as he was made to sit on the platform, the Kokuwamon moving over to the machine's control panel. Denryu would give a nod:
"As much as possible, maintain steady breathing. We will be monitoring your condition from here - all you need to do is keep yourself together. Now... three... two..."
One... and the Kokuwamon would flip the switch - a surge of energy flowing into Silver's body.

Silver nodded his head and looked to the platform, shifting to take a seat. He didn’t look too bothered by the idea of sitting on this thing. Though he looked kinda skeptical about the siphon, such a small machine that was supposed to do so much? The metal cuffs around each of his wrists was met with a small tutt, though feeling his ankles given the same treatment made him look a touch unconfortable. He had a lot of fur there and it was pressing down quite a bit.
The silvermon shifted further as he felt those diodes on his chest get added; he did indeed feel a bit trapped but that was this entire situation wasn’t it? He’d grit his teeth as he could feel the soft metal bite of those on his wrists and ankles. His eyes flicked over to the Kokuwamon for a moment before Denryu spoke.
Maintain a steady breathing?
”All right… I’ll try.”
The silvermon nodded slowly as the other told him what he needed to do as well was what they were going to do. But all of that seemed to fade away for a moment as the switch was flipped. There was a pause and then that surge of energy flowed into his body.
It was painful, blisteringly so. His body wasn’t meant to conduct electricity and there was a loud surprised sound that escaped from the demon wolf’s throat. His claws digging into the platform as the surge continued; his tail and wings fluttering and his form shaking as his data was tugged at.
Maintaining steady breathing was difficult, there were jitters and as the pain started to ramp up his breath would shorten here or there. The readings were clear that he wasn’t in danger but there was a noticeable hitch in his signal strength as time progressed, but even as that hitch occured the mon’s vitals would shift.
They were starting to approach a stronger variation; like they were pushing him to go beyond the form he was in. The siphon definitely was doing it’s job. But as the time continued to pass, as the hours dragged on and the siphon did it’s work there would be a moment where it seemed as though he flatlined.
Only for his form to jitter, shudder and shift in make. Much like a digivolution but argubly more bizzare as the extra fur sloughed off and the wings writhed, shifted and moved locations on his back. Growing small and attaching themselves much higher on his frame. It seemed condensed. Powerful. But the energy was still being drawn out by the siphon.
It wouldn’t be long after his form shifted to that of the Silvermon-x that the readings would spike again and that signal started to make itself known. Almost a whole two hours before the presence of the azulongmon energy not only made itself known but arced off of the silvermon-x’s form time and time again. If it wasn’t for the fact he was grounded in such a way that this energy would likely shear straight through the metal that was holding him.
Again the signal spiked and it seemed as though he would digivolve again… but then nothing happened and the silvermon slumped forward. His vitals dropping again but his form keeping to what it was. The silvermon-x’s body shivering as electricity coursed up and down his frame. He wasn’t all there, his eyes seemed hollow and his breathing was shallow.
But his signal was clearly not that of a normal mon.

It was definitely a grotesque display, to say the least.
The Siphon's work was efficient, but not pretty. Silver's data remained in flux throughout the entire process - at its peaks, he was monstrously powerful, but at its valleys, he was weaker than the barest rookie. Volt found himself stepping back, as the masked tamer looked on. "Tch... don't you think this is a bit much, boss?"
"Do you really think we have the luxury to drag this out?"
The Kokuwamon gave a shrug, shaking his head with a sigh. It was clear that the General wasn't in a mood to argue, and throughout the entire process, a good three hours of it, the group would continue to observe. The Kokuwamon switched shifts with a Devidramon, who then switched shifts with the Renamon - Angel being there as the Siphon finally ran its course.
With the machine whirring down, the Renamon raised a brow, and then a finger up to her ear. "D? It's done."
"I'll be right down." A voice crackled in her ear - had the radio been damaged by the latent static in the room? "Ground out the current."
"Yeah, yeah..." The fox sighed, reaching into a box, pulling out a long pair of thick, rubber gloves. She'd step forward, and plucked the Silvermon up in her arms - and even through that shielding? She felt her fur stand up on edge, an annoying amount of static building up in her fur. Gritting her teeth, the fox hauled him off of that metal platform - and right onto a bare section of concrete, on his back, positioning him to have a maximum area of contact against the floor.
"Hmph. You able to hear me at all, wolf?"

Silver had never felt as much pain in this current iteration as he had during the hours under the siphon. It felt like it was ripping him apart seam by seam and that it was stitching him back together at the same time. There were moments at the highs and lows that he was able to at least… growl and huff in pain. If he screamed he’d lose the control that was that important through it.
His fairer, tanner fur and his fairer look was definitely something that was far better controlled than his beast like mannerisms of his champion. His claws didn’t dig as deep into the steel even if they were charged with electricity. Seeing the devidramon switch out with the Kokuwamon didn’t really phase him too much and then seeing angel take over for the large dragon didn’t really do much for him either. A familiar ear flick during the pain and a small grunt as the siphon eventually ran it’s course.
His eyes were still hollow, his breath was still shallow. It was hard to concentrate and it felt like that moment over and over again. Where he was being ripped apart. It was the worst feeling. It wasn’t painful at all but it was just… terrible.
Being touched and moved off the platform didn’t really yield any results. To the renamon he’d maybe feel a lot lighter than he should even though he was taller than her by a good range. The silvermon-x stirred a bit, his hollow eyes slowly closing as his breathing leveled out. His data running alongside that azulongmon’s power. His power technically. It was so much more than what he expected and it didn’t just fizzle out like one of them suggested it could.
”I… do… Can I get some… water?”
The silvermon put a hand to his head, grunting and slowly sitting up. He could feel his body still screaming and the electricity that was dancing along his frame even grounded was probably a good note for concern. He didn’t have control yet and in this higher form than before he had more access to the power.
What would have happened if he had become mega? Super mega even? Would he be a beacon of energy or something entirely else? Would he even survived that transition?
”How… long..?”
If anything the wolf felt a little fried.

Water?
As the Renamon watched electricity still stand off of the Silvermon's fur, the fox gave a sigh, and rested the back of her gloved hand against the wolf's shoulder. Her fur still stood up a little bit, but after a moment's observation, she gave a shrug. Turning the corner, she'd come back with a sport water bottle - the plastic a nice, relatively non-conductive polymer - and offered it to the wolf.
"To answer your question - and a few you haven't asked yet - about four hours. Give yourself about five minutes before trying to stand up. And as far as I can tell, the procedure worked about as well as we could have hoped."
That was definitely a lot to drop on a probably-loopy Silver, but that was about how it was. "At the very least, there's nothing more the siphon can do. Good thing as well, because you about fried the fucking thing..." Curious, she'd chance tapping a nail near Silver's shoulder, only to wince as a bit of static 'cracked' and shot up through her claw. Like a well-primed Tesla Coil, it shot right up through her arm, the fox taking a moment to shake it out.
"I wouldn't take a shower yet. I'd give you a towel to draw out the static, but it might catch fire."

The silvermon was able to at least prop himself up a bit; his entire body feeling like it was on fire. He’d watch the renamon go and sort of sag a bit; he didn’t know what he was to do now. He had this power at his fingertips and before he had made that suggestion of learning how to control it but… it seemed too much for him to handle at the moment. He’d take that water from her, drinking it down in controlled bursts before pulling the water bottle away from him.
”I… hope so. My entire body feels like it is on fire. I don’t think I could survive another… four hours of that?”
The silvermon-x ran a hand through his fur and shuddered. There was nothing that the siphon could pull out now and he had nearly fried it. The wolf turned his head as he ‘zapped’ her. He felt a little bad at first but he recalled the situation he was in. Giving a small huff.
”I don’t think taking a shower is a good idea… I should limit my contact with… water if… well. I don’t want to short out. I think that’s something electric type mons have to deal with at least…”
The mon would mumble a bit and look down to his hands. There were other questions he wanted to ask; a few of them being stupid but the two most prominant ones were actually pretty straightforward.
”Who was that dramon from earlier…? And… What is going to happen now that the siphon… worked? Gonna have me power the underground?”
The silvermon chuckled and let out a small groan as he felt his body shake a bit from all the energy. He’d promptly finish what was in the water bottle before handing it back to the fox.
"And wolfy to wolf huh?"
