”More’s the pity then. Hmm.”
Silver rubbed at his chin, sifting through his different designs. Eventually his eyes would flick over to a single sheet of paper on his drawing board and he’d step over to it. It was the large blade he had drawn at the start. With the strange writing and the bits and pieces he wasn’t able to really make out. It was a blade he knew; a blade that was attached to his very core of being.
Not having one… when being a swordsman felt odd. He’d grit his teeth and then offer the blade’s ‘design’ to the renamon.
”What about this? Some small changes; it’s large enough to where it can be one handed or two. Is sturdy and won’t break very easily if forged correctly. It’s durable and… I’m familiar with it. It’s definitely more of a slashing weapon too. Plenty of space to work with. A digichrome core and edge, supplemented with copper and silver. In an interwoven lacing throughout the blade.”
Silver was already taking a seat on his ‘bed’ to think things over. He had a clear design in his head and it wasn’t hard to tell that he was excited. All these designs on the floor were things he could make for others or just for fun. This. Was. His. Sword.
He’d pick up the digichrome ingot after a bit and idly run his hands around it. Feeling out the metal and mumbling to himself.
”My body has a natural efficency with that design and I have a few… ideas for armor down the line. I’m going to cement this and that… whole keeping an active current up when I can.”
Silver seemed pretty stoked and ready, all he had to do at this point was clean up. The next few days would be lain out for him but he had to wonder… He felt that it was strange… almost a foreign idea. One that seemed… right. But also so far from what he knew.
”I might be able to forge it without a forge.”

"Hm..."
That sword? The Renamon looked it over, examining the detail of that sketch, drawn right down to its dimensions. "Something like that... yeah, yeah, it would work. And it sounds like you already have your mind set on it, too." As Silver would sit down on that bed, the Renamon would sit right down next to him, eyes settled on that sketch, flicking over to that ingot in his hands.
For him, it seemed like it was better to do something that he was familiar with. And he seemed confident, like he could 'make the blade in his sleep'. At least, that was what the Renamon heard in 'making it without a forge'.
"Don't get too confident." She'd chuckle, and raise a hand, scratching right under the wolf's chin. "I know you can handle yourself with scrap and weapons, but your electricity control is downright terrible, from what I've heard. Better get it in line... lest you have my fur standing on end."
She grinned, teasing at that last point, as she'd move to step out.

”It was either that or go through hundreds of other variants to find myself just at the start after wasting so much time.”
The moment that they said a slashing weapon would be his best bet… silver knew which sword he must forge. What he must do. With angel sitting next time he’d flick his ears; giving her a small glance; A curious… Worried. Glance.
”I think that it would be the best option. I thought at first maybe I needed to change; change who I was because my powers changed.”
The renamon also seemed to think that it was an unwise idea for him to use his powers to forge the blade. At least this point. She’d earn a small chuckle and then when she scratched under his chin… Well there was that tell tail blush.
”I’ve got to work on it. I know… I know that. That’s going to take time. Don’t worry though I’ll try to keep it so that it doesn’t poof out. I know how it feels and looks.”
Another soft chuckle and he’d flick his ear; giving her a small wave as she left. He wasn’t going to pull her into a conversation further than this and he needed his rest. Oh… Only if he knew what was coming in the oncoming week…
More practice, practical and nonsensical. Stuff he didn’t understand, Moments in time that he was frustrated with. That same small arena with volt and demon. Sometimes he’d do so with angel being the only one in the room. She always seemed to get the best results out of him; which was odd. Why did he care so much? Why did he put forward even more effort when she was around?
It was strange to him. But he wasn’t going to stop moving forward and question it needlessly. His weapon still was uncrafted, unmade. He had stopped making designs for it… and designs for other things. Other strange things to pass his time. Things that made little sense and had the same sort of wording that his sword’s designs had. Stuff that came from his core. Stuff that came from his past and that master of his.
This day was no different and he’d put his hands on his legs; panting as he felt that current stabilize again. Better and better at it; more and more of it. He seemed to be positively glowing! The silvermon felt the crackling of his body and would reach an arm out.
Imagine the sword.
It was a focal point he understood and much like the first javelin he launched his self same blade came to his hands readily. It was weaker than what that javelin was as he was putting so little into it it was a shaking version of something he knew beyond himself.
He’d make maybe three or four swipes with it, launching wave after wave of lightning at the testing poles before having to take a seat. His chest heaving with effort and his current teetering out but never quite going away…
”I can… manage a lot more swipes and keep the… uh. “Armor?” up? Whatever this full body electric nonsense is.”
He’d turn his head to whomever was his trainer was today; flicking an ear and exhaling softly. His control had improved and along with it the amount he could use. He had stopped burning himself and there were times that he almost seemed to enjoy the increase of prowess from the 'armor'.

"Well, well!"
The Kokuwamon - still affixed as Demon's visor - would buzz with appreciation at Silver's progress! "It took a while, but it seems you finally have the foundation for it all. I'd say we're well past the point where we're worried that you're going to explode from having that power inside of you!"
"... Meaning its just at the level that should be expected of his current form."
Well, that was a comparatively rare face, after that full week. The General, once more wearing his mask, looked on from the arena's west entrance. "Demon, about how far along is he?"
"Hmph. He can draw it. But there's nothing 'divine' about its feel. Just raw lightning."
"Hm..." His eyes shifted from the Devidramon over to the Silvermon. From that, it almost sounded like this was a poor investment - but Denryu wasn't entirely convinced. "Silver. Ultimately, what we are looking for is a way to 'project' Azulongmon's data - even if its an echo, or even if its a fake, producing the signal itself could be a way to assist in our efforts. Keeping that in mind..."
"Do you feel anything 'deeper'? That is, a level you haven't tapped into for this, yet?"

Silver looked somewhat proud of himself for at least managing to come this far. Getting his body to withstand the power that it held was something he wasn’t sure he could even do. He’d flick an ear at the general’s intial comment and turn. A rare visitor to say the least, he figured that their leader wanted to keep the amount of time that silver saw them to a minimum for whatever reason.
”My rookie, champion and ultimate forms all were never meant to use electricity at this… power level. So I’m surprised I can even manage this if I’m being honest.”
Silver ran his fingers through his hair, frizzing it up a bit and huffing as a bit of electricity arched between his fingers. He was still cloaked in lightning and there was a soft hum about him. He wasn’t going to explode and for that he was thankful. At demons remark the silvermon tilted his head. Divine? Was… wait.
Upon denryu’s explanation the silvermon sighed. So that was what they wanted. He didn’t know, he thought they just wanted his power. So power was what he was working on; but if they wanted to mimic that signal?
”I… I understand.”
He’d flick his ears a few times, looking uncertain but then the next question. Did he feel anything deeper? A level he hadn’t tapped into… The silvermon fidgeted nervously. He had since ever taking hold of this power felt a vast well of energy just underneath him. So vast, so deep. So ancient and archaic. Something that dwarfed him in size; made him feel so tiny and insignificant.
”Ever since the start I felt something immensely powerful just under the surface. Sometimes it rears out and helps me with… the attacks. The strongest is usually the first where it puts it’s all to me, or what I’m allowed I feel. Or what I’m ready to accept. I…”
Silver shook his head, feeling like he was about to take a step too far.
”There’s so much more that I can tap into but If I do I don’t know what will happen. So far I’ve just been skimming from the surface since it was the safest for me and my body.”

'Just skimming the surface'.
Silver hadn't truly tapped into the Sovereign's power at all. If anything, he was still scared to, afraid that its full might would overwhelm him - understandably so, of course! Denryu would give a slow nod, considering the situation at hand. "Good. The worst case would have been that you only felt a remnant of the power inside of you - but if you're aware of the bigger picture beyond that, I won't be worried in the short term."
There was no reason to be impatient. Instead, he turned his attention to Demon. "When he's able to control the basics, I want him to switch his focus to expanding the amount of energy he's able to draw out. Volt, you would know much better than I what his current body is capable of withstanding."
"You got it, boss!"
"As for you." His attention would return to the wolf: "Provided that you return here for consistent practice, there's no more reason to confine you to this location. You're not radiating the Sovereign's signal, nor are you sparking random electricity anymore. We've taken the liberty of attributing your absence back at your forge to illness, in the meantime. Maybe, just maybe..."
The General would turn.
"The answer to this is with the angels obsessed over these gods."

Silver didn’t ever know if he would be able to tap into that power; he just knew what was below the surface he had been working with. He’d turn his head to stare at the general. He’d frown slightly at the ease that the human took this information. Was that what he expected when talking to sivler? He’d rub at his neck; considering everything including a few things he was still unsure about.
”I’m a mixed of curious and confident honestly. Seeing all that power in there makes me wonder how deep it goes but I feel like even how deep it is I will be able to work with it once my sword is made.”
Silver flicked his ears a few times and glanced at demon; so volt was to gauge how much he could handle in this form? Then go with that and work with them? Silver could get behind that and the wolf crossed his arms; looking thoughtful. Volt was quick to accept that reasoning of training. He had to wonder how long he’d be down here-
Oh?
Silver perked up a bit as the general offered a chance for him to return to where his forge was before and that he could only do so if he came back for consistent practice. He wasn’t radiating the signal nor was he sparking random electricity. The silvermon nodded his head as the human explained the ‘why’ he had been gone.
”They’ve always been pious and believing in the gods, they’d take whatever they can get from them. From what I’ve heard from the news and the various events before my rebirth they were searching for the statues for whatever reason. The actual physical containers of the gods. But given how the older group of luminas was it couldn’t be for anything good.”
Silver sighed and turned to his poles. He felt something; something deep. He wondered to himself if he should take that something and use it. He looked thoughtful for a moment and turned to demon halfway. A strange look in his eyes.
”...Volt touching on what your boss said. What is my current body capable of?”

"Indeed - though to the angels, the location of the statues is less of an unknown to them. Azulongmon is hidden in the desert, Baihumon is among the mountains, and Ebonwumon is amidst the trees. So long as they stay in place, the Digital World stays put together. To have a 'piece' separate from that is a rare opportunity..."
With that, Denryu would walk off, back towards the inside of the base. He left it on quite an ominous note, though it was hard to tell if the General meant to do that or if it was just a consequence of his rather dull tone. As for the question of how much Silver could handle?
Volt could field that question! "Going to be honest, at your current level of control and unassisted by tools, you're only able to scrape right along the surface of it. Offhand, I'd say you might be using five percent of what the lightning could be doing... but that might also be close to what you can handle as an Ultimate."
"Hmph..." Demon gave a snort, at that. "It would be disappointing if this all fell apart... just because he can't become stronger than an Ultimate..."
It was true - that might become an insurmountable wall at some point. To that, the Kokuwamon just gave a sigh: "Look, ignore the dragon and the boss-man for now. The fact that you're still standing at all is quite incredible!"

”Yeah and it’s probably for the best if they remain hidden.”
Silver crossed his arms and scowled a bit at the last part. A rare opportunity indeed… he wasn’t even sure how he felt about all of this still. He’d sigh and shake his head. There was so much he didn’t understand. Didn’t know, he wanted to know and he wanted to understand everything that came with these powers.
The silvermon perked up a bit as he was told what was an acceptable margin of use. Maybe… just maybe if he made that sword. He could increase it. Increase it further or even maybe break through that 5% that Volt seemed to see.
”If I had my sword then? How far do you think it could go? How much I could pull?”
Silver growled a little bit and looked up at demon, squinting his eyes and pointing at the dragon with a scowl clear on his face.
”Well digimon revel in combat, we live and breathe the stuff. You know that! I’m stuck in ultimate now because we’ve been playing it safe but if you really think that then lets fight. Push me to get stronger.”
Silver knew that before… His spirit user had for the most part played it safe for years. To try to keep himself and his spirits safe. So that caution likely passed to him. He’d flick his ears a few times at the Kokuwamon’s words and nod after a moment.
”They have a point, good ones. But you’re correct. A few months ago I wouldn’t of even thought this was possible much less made it this far.”
He’d cross his arms and flick an ear in annoyance. If 5% was all he could manage… well the silvermon-x would push himself further. Further further further and then just keep going. He would increase that number till he was satisfied with it.
No. He’d push that number until it was 100%. No ifs ands or buts.

What if Silver used a tool?
Volt mulled that question over. "If you mean the one like your blueprints... I'd say the load of the blade would be about equal to what your body could handle in its entirety. So, conservatively, your max would be about 8-to-10 percent." The Kokuwamon sounded a little optimistic, so maybe it was closer to the '8' than otherwise.
... But then came Silvermon's next point. He wanted to fight Demon, right now? The dragon gave a snort, and poked a claw right at the ultimate's chest. "Do that yourself. Not good at 'sparring'."
"... Yeah, trust me, you do not want to get him going. Demon's a good 'mon, but about as feral as can be." The visor almost gave an audible sigh. Again, Silver's progress was already incredible - even if it was currently short of what they were looking for! But Demon, seeing that wolf cross his arms, gave another derisive snort.
He was really that out of it? The dragon actually walked up - to Volt's surprise - and would try and grasp Silver by his arms.
"Square stance. Hold arms out - like this." If allowed, he'd get the wolf to square his knees with his shoulders, and hold his arms out, elbows bent, like he was carrying a basket from below - before he would direct Silver to point his arms inward.
Like holding a 'ball' in front of him.
"Picture it. Put as much energy as you can - right at that central point."

”Not just any blueprint. The blueprint. I’ll show you after this.”
Silver stretched a bit and grunted as he could feel his data pulling this way or that. He’d stare up at the demonic dragon and nodded his head. He wasn’t sure exactly what Demon’s deal was… but knowing that he wouldn’t push the issue.
”Fair nuff. Maybe I’ll ask one of the others then...”
Silver rubbed at his neck and stared at the ground thoughtfully. However when he was grabbed by demon he’d allow himself to be directed. He’d focus like the demonic dragon told him to. He’d try that central point. Try and try and try.
At first there was nothing. Then gradually little sparks built up. Then a torrent of electrical energy that eventually spun around and around until it formed a deadly looking ball of energy. Silver grunted and focused harder and harder… pushing the ball into a more contained form. But it sputtered and seemed to lash out after a moment or two before fizzling out completely.
Silver let out a small exhalation and shifted his weight again. Finding his center before trying a second time. This second time was far quicker on the uptake and far quicker on the creation of something entirely new.
No orb. No lances of energy. Just a constant flow of electricity that danced between his fingertips. But it just kept warping and twisting… Until?
Well the ball of energy would form again. This time feeling much more tame, much more pure. Much more… More than what silver was. It was a sliver, a tiny essence of what was within. Grunting as it demanded release the silvermon-x gestured and like a cannon the orb launched forward….
Well. The result was beyond spectacular; a pillar of energy that was off the charts… if there was even any charts to be had. However doing so made the silvermon-x wheeze a bit and he’d stagger. Placing his hands on the ground as arcs of left over electricity danced off of his form again.
”...That felt different… Minutely so.”

"The blueprint?"
Interesting - Volt obviously didn't know how to take that, but it was clear that Silver had at least some sort of plan. Still, physics was physics, and there was only so much load that metal could handle. Demon, hearing Silver's retort, simply gave a snort. Silver might tell that the 'mon here was closer to a raging bull than any sort of pure rational thinker.
... Hence his rather direct teaching method with Silver. Right to the next drill, a new drill. The dragon stepped back as Silver started, neither him nor Volt giving the wolf any pointers from here. This was something that Silver had to get a feel for all his own. The first sparks misfired, but the second?
Now that was interesting. Small. Compact. Contained. It took a little too long for Demon's liking, but in the end, Silver was able to produce quite the electric blast - one that surged right across the arena, crashing and obliterating the far end of the arena. Not only that, but the wolf was learning, moving to immediately ground his staggered arms from quite a sizeable misfire.
To this, Demon actually nodded.
"Good. You're able to harness it without blowing your arms off." The Devidramon stepped by - looking down at the slumped wolf. "Practice over. Next time - you'll learn how to use just enough."

”The sword that I wielded back when I was a soldier for luminas. The self same sword that when I reformed was no longer with me. It wasn’t part of my person before. So it as equipment didn’t reform. The armor was a part of me until I destroyed it to forge various experimental weapons. Consider it my magnum opus as a trainee smith. I can show you it later if you really want to see the design.”
Silver gave a small smile to Volt and shrugged after a few moments. He was grateful that he had at least supplies to work off of but after all this he was going to be more grateful about having a sword that was able to harness his newfound abilities.
Or at least he hoped that it would be able to. Who was to say what would happen? The sivlermon stretched a little bit after his attempt at wielding the power. His ears flicked and he’d look up to demon. His chest was heaving with effort and he’d have to steady his breathing before running his hands over his face once the extra electricity was safely out of his body.
”I think next time is going to have to be later. I can feel my arms, too much more and they might end up being burnt.”
A low and soft chuckle before the mon slowly pushed himself off the ground. He didn’t want to lose his only means of making bits and likely the only way he’d get to see… He’d slap his head and give it a shake. He didn’t need to think about her. Not right now.
”But yes. That sounds… reasonable.”
Silver considered a few other things and felt a small jolt run down his body. Some electricity seemed to be backed up somewhere and he’d go back to grounding himself with a grumble. It was going to be like that huh?
"...I might be here for a bit..."

'He might be here for a bit'.
If he wanted to keep regular practice and duck his head away from Luminas, then yes, he might find himself underground quite a bit. Demon gave a growl, a derisive snort given in Silver's direction as he spoke about his fatigue. Some might have been interested to see his plight.
... But not Demon.
"Then stay here. We need that 'spark' anyway." He'd groan, stomping right past the wolf, as the visor gave a whirring sigh. "I'll be around to check the logistics of your blueprint yesterday. Familiarity is fine, but it didn't run a current before, right?"
Volt had a point! Silver would be given all the time he needed to recover, in the middle of the practice area - whether it was a few minutes or a couple of hours - and by the time he would finally get back to his quarters? Well, he'd find the Renamon sitting there, idly sharpening a few of the scrap blades, running a careful towel down as she cleared away the residue. She snarled a bit - the balance was still a bit off, but what could one do with a sword literally made of someone else's trash?
"This one's not going to sing for me, is it..."
Well. Maybe the fox just had unreasonably high expectations.

Silver stretched and grunted a bit as he felt his arms pop. The silvermon’s eyes took in the other as he stomped past him. There wasn’t much left for them to do here and the silvermon knew that. He closed his eyes and sighed before waggling a single digit at that visor.
”Before it wasn’t made out of the materials that I was brought. This time tomorrow there will be a new blade. The right blade for me.”
Silver smiled up at the pair of them and well… It’d be a couple minutes before he went back to his quarters. Changes and such in his head making him want to sit down with the design. His eyes locked onto angel and his ears flicked forward as she was sharpening the few blades he had made before this day. At her comment the silvermon would speak up; walking to sit down at his chair.
”It might not be able to sing for you. But I know something that could.”
Was that an attempt at flirting? Or was he taking what she said a bit too literally? His hands were quick to move, writing down in that strange language, his eyes sparking with thought and designs. The blade that was so key to this form danced across the paper; every angle, every line and every bit of power. Small bits of notes and current swept the prior one away. His tail almost… wagging behind him.
”Tonight is when this blade breathes again.”
There was a low growl in his throat and his body even though it wasn’t holding the blade had a small crackle of electricity run along his upper arm. Prompting a snort from the smith. He was excited… rightfully so.
”It’s a pity my master isn’t here to see this come to life. Then again he’s been dead for thousands of years…”
The silvermon mulled a bit, running his writing utensil along the blade’s ‘edge’ before writing down some notes near it. Measurements, density… everything about this blade was easily transcribed into paper. It’s weight was perfect for him as was it’s reach and general design. Perhaps… he was putting more into this than even the prior one!
”I’m going to need your help angel.”
