(Hello! this is my first RP post on the site! It's to outline the meeting of my tamer and his partner, and I hope it is in the correct format!)
The sounds of the train terminal rang out around the cold night air as he stood, leaning quietly against the wall and texting his brother on his cell phone. Having just finished a later shift than usual at the bank where he worked, he was hurrying to get to his last train to his home in the Northern Shibuya ward. The station around him was devoid of human life and he would have considered it closed had it not been for the many lights and banners that remained on around him. He could have sworn he saw people entering the station alongside him when he first arrived. Though he had been half absorbed in his phone instead of being fully aware of his surroundings as he went down into the terminal. He did however, now that he was fully aware of how desolate it seemed, notice a seemingly blue glow coming off of the surrounding... well everything. 'Must be my eyes playing tricks on me...' he thought to himself while continuing his text.
Just got off of work, he typed. Should be home soon!
Off in the distance he could hear, as well as feel the rumble of the train coming from the tunnel to the right. Though as he looked up from his phone, a flash of yellow across the tracks caught his eye. His gaze shifted to follow the direction of the yellow blotch he saw darting by. What looked like a near spherical fox-like creature was darting down the stairs and moving parallel to his position. Though it seemed to quickly halt once it realized it wasn't alone in the terminal, and turned in the direction of the only other being currently in the terminal, Sky. Once its eyes met his it seemed overjoyed, as if meeting a long lost friend finally after so long. Jumping up and down out of joy it would seem, since its eyes were wide and a smile seemed plastered upon its face, it pranced up towards the edge of the platform.
'It looks kinda cute...' Sky thought to himself, but that thought was short lived since it was getting dangerously close to the drop to the tracks below.
"H-hey! Watch it! There's a drop off there!" He yelled out to the small vulpine-like creature while stepping closer to the edge on his side. Though the warning came too late and the small creature tumbled off the ledge with a yelp. 'Oh no...' he thought to himself while pacing the length of the platform between the two pillars. Though things got stranger when upon hitting the ground beside the tracks it yelped out. "Ouch! Oh No!" Then proceeded to make an attempt to scramble back up the vertical ledge it had just fallen from. 'It... Talked...? What... is it...?' his mind raced as he pieced together the situation before him. Though his thoughts quickly faded as he was once again reminded of the impending train by the rumbling platform beneath him.
"O-okay! Hey! Hang in there! I'll give you a hand! But we gotta hurry!" He announced to it as he dropped down to a knee and slid his leg off the platform. Landing on the ground beside the tracks, he could feel the ground rumbling more and more. "Hurry!" He repeated at it, approaching it with his arms outstretched towards it in hopes it'll understand him quickly. The small canid turned to him, its eyes lighting up as it bounded towards him and jumped up into his awaiting arms.
"Oh Thank you!" It exclaimed while burying its face in the black and yellow jacket Sky was wearing.
"Y-yeah! B-but we gotta...!" He hiked his left leg up and over the platform, which came up to his midriff and as such made getting back onto it rather difficult. Struggling at first to carry the small being and pull himself up onto the ledge, Sky decided to place the creature up on the ledge before once again hiking his leg up onto it. The train was definitely much closer now, the ground shaking violently beneath him. 'What the... the train shouldn't be making that much of a ruckus!' He'd think to himself and look to the direction the train was supposedly coming from and froze. Upon the tracks was what appeared to be a large train-like object, but it had EYES. Not lights no, EYES.
Sky was so shocked, his mind reeling at what he was seeing, he didn't notice the smaller being trying uselessly to pull him up onto the platform. 'I can't Bel...' His thoughts were cut short by a bight blue light, a sudden weightlessness, and then he was falling sideways along the direction of the ledge. He noticed the color of the light had changed to a bright yellow as soon as he began his plummet backwards and his eyes could behold what appeared to be a bright blue sky. His mind continued to try and process what was happening, but he finally seemed to pinpoint where the Yellow light was coming from... "The SUN?!" He thought to himself before exclaiming out loud. "Wh-what in the world?!" He didn't have much more time to think as he landed with a soft thoof upon a massive sand dune. "S-sand...?" he groaned, the jarring stop sending lightning bolts of pain spider-webbing from between his shoulder blades outwards though his form. The portal above him, yes he had at least deduced it was some sort of portal, was at least ten feet in the middle of the air above him with tracks trailing from it. A massive train thundered out of it as soon as he had landed, it was the same color as the one he just witnessed before falling seconds ago. Lying paralyzed in the sand and just watching the train go by he felt a sudden pang of fear. He had no clue how he gotten to a desert, hell he clearly figured out he wasn't anywhere in Japan anymore since the surrounding area seemed to be dunes as far as he could see from his position in the sand. The train itself seemed to finally reach an end, which caused the portal to begin closing. 'Its... Pixelating closed...?' His mind registered. Suddenly, a familiar yellow shape darted through the last bit of the closing portal, only to land with a sudden thud directly upon Sky's stomach. "OOF!" He'd exclaim, while moving to cover his stomach, which in turn just held the smaller canine closer to him.
"C-careful... what... you land on..." His voice strained from the sudden impact to his abdomen. The smaller creature seemed to panic for a moment before suddenly realizing what and who it was standing on.
"Sorry! I just had to jump! It was closing and I didn't wanna be left behind!" It's voice squeaked. "By the way, I'm Viximon! What's your name?" It gazed up at the human it had just used as a cushion for its fall as it spoke.
"S-Skyler... Skyler Tukiyo is my full name. But... Just call me Sky." He responded.
'Wait... why was he telling this creature... this Viximon... person... his name...? Where was he...? What on earth happened...?' His mind continued to race, but with a sudden realization he asked the small being.
"Where... are we?" his voice slow and deliberate.
"We're in the digital world!" It beamed proudly, posing with its face held high.
'the digital... world...? I've... what...? never heard of that...' he processed mentally before speaking again.
"O-okay... um... what are you then...?" his eyes locked onto the small creatures.
"Well I'm a digimon! I'm Your partner actually!" Its eyes zoomed down to lock with Sky's. Staring intently into his with a gaze that seemed to last far too long after it spoke.
"My... Partner...?" He sounded confused as he responded.
"Yeah silly! You've got your digivice around your neck too! Wow how did you not notice?!" It laughed cutely while sitting back upon its hind legs. Sky looked down at his chest the best he could, and he noticed surprisingly that the necklace he had been wearing since his mother gave it to him, had changed into some sort of nokia-esque phone thing. "Well... what does it... do?" He questioned further.
It seemed to think on it for a minute then replied. "I'm... not entirely sure... but I bet we can find someone who does here!" "Well.. given the circumstances, I guess I don't have much of a choice." He spoke as he rose to a sitting postion. The viximon person moved down to rest in his lap for a moment before the two got to their feet. Trudging upwards and to the top of the sand dunes the two began their journey to explore this newfound world.
