Tyto stared up through the eye-holes of her mask at the thick canopy above her, flat on her back and wondering what exactly had just happened. One second she'd been jumping into the Shibuya River to escape from some piddly rent-a-cop who'd managed to spot her mugging a guy in the middle of the night, the next she was sprawled out on her back in some.... jungle in broad daylight. Hauling herself up into what could vaguely be considered a sitting position, she scowled and thrust a hand into her pocket to remove whatever hard object had just jabbed her in the gut as she had wrenched her torso upright. What she pulled out was a long, absurdly ostentatious looking device with a screen and click wheel controls. It almost looked like an old cellphone. Maybe some of the junk from the river had gotten caught in her pocket when she'd jumped in, but considering she was oddly dry and there wasn't any other trash around she figured it was unlikely. Whatever. She'd keep it, it might be worth something.
Taking stock of her surroundings, she grabbed hold of her back-pack from where it had landed next to her and shrugged it back on after removing her Leatherman MUT from it's pouch and slipping it into her pocket.. It was always best to have something she could use to defend herself close at hand whenever she found herself somewhere new after all. And new it was! She could feel her excitement rising as she looked around at the trees and undergrowth. Tyto had been to jungles before, but none of them had felt like this. There was something odd about this place, like it almost seemed fuzzy at the edges or something. Whatever it was, the change was always welcome and she picked a direction to move in, feeling the rush of being somewhere entirely new and unusual chasing away the dregs of boredom that had been nagging at her lately.
So engrossed in her surroundings and reveling in the oddity of the whole situation, She failed to take notice of the fact that she was being followed.
The young Arkadimon was confused. The weird person that had just turned up out of nowhere was walking away! It knew they were supposed to stick together and that it needed to obey her orders, even if it had no idea why that was. It had to follow and make sure she didn't get into trouble, there was a lot of trouble around here and she didn't look like she'd be able to take care of herself without its help. It didn't know why she hadn't noticed it yet, but it could be patient! It had been waiting for a long time for this to happen after all! It could wait a bit longer if it had to for it's master to figure out it was there.
Or maybe it should let her know somehow? It didn't know how to do that, it couldn't talk very well and it didn't want to scare it's new master, but it wanted to be noticed finally. After waiting and waiting for her to show up, she'd finally arrived and now she was wandering off and it was so frustrating! It would follow for a little while and see if she'd notice, and if she didn't it would make itself known.
Resolved, it picked up the pace and silently trailed after it's master.

Hidden in the shadows of the palm trees, a small figure started to slink out, on the lookout for a new group of potential victi- friends she could make, giggling mischievously. How many weak little fools who wandered inside the jungles of the Binary Archipelago expecting absolutely nothing bad to happen to them? They were nothing more than food to her. Sweet, delicious food, just to make her ever stronger. And what a surprise this PetitMamon had come across today. Her eyes took a curious little glance towards an oddly shaped Digimon passing by her. What sort of Digimon was that? It certainly looked weak, that was for sure. All the more reason for this pretty little girl to lure her into a false sense of security, before stabbing in her in the back and feasting upon the data inside. It was almost like taking candy from an In-Training. Lightly cackling, she slunk back into the shadows of the trees, before silently sweeping around the area, wherever the girl went, the PetitMamon was not too far behind She was always good with surprises, making sure that nobody would notice when she snuck around. It made her eventual victory all the more sweeter, and frankly, she loved that feeling; damn what the others had said about her. When she was all mighty and powerful, she would rule over the Dark Area with an iron fist, and all who taunted and mocked her would be grovelling at her feet. Finally, and without so much of a warning outside of one final cackle, the demon popped out directly from the shadows, and in front of her victim's face, wearing an innocent grin as she addressed her victim, "Why, hello there, dearie~!" She chirped to their face, "My name is Anne. It's a pleasure to meet you." She bowed to her polity. Anne's grin turned into a more knowing smile as she continued with her introduction, "Dearie, you seem to be a little, oh, how do I put it, lost? Inside the Cipher Jungle of all things? If the heat doesn't get you, then the monsters there will. And you don't want that happening now, do you?" She giggled once more, paying no heed to the blatant hypocrisy at play, "But not to worry. I am but a good monster. I know my way throughout this forest from of my head. Why don't you come with me, dearie? I can show you the way out."As she finished up her little speech, she reached out to grab her victim's hand, and, if successful, she'd be starting to lead her off to her doom. That fool didn't know what she was in for. Perfect. Just perfect. The idiots always made for great practice, at least. And all the while, she giggled cheerfully.

If Tyto wasn't aware that there was something seriously bizarre going on already, the sight of what looked like a walking, talking plush toy coming out of the jungle at her would certainly have driven it home. As the tiny imp-like creature approached, Tyto couldn't help but utterly ignore the words it was speaking in favour of looking it over and taking in every bizarre detail. It was small, about the size of a young child, and had wings and a tail and was wearing what looked like a tiny suit jacket and tie. For a split second she thought she was faced with a kid in a costume, but as the odd creature reached out to take her hand, she instead reached out and grabbed it by the ear-like things on top of its head, lightly squeezing them to verify that they're real.
"Holy shit." She breathed, eyes wide behind their mask with excitement. "You're actually real, I'm not dreaming. You speak like an old lady, and you're actually some tiny little monster." She had a wild, almost somewhat feral looking grin hidden by their mask as they pulled their hands back. "This is amazing, what are you?"
She would have continued with the questioning had a staticy shriek of rage not interrupted, heralding the arrival of yet another odd creature inserting itself into the scene. It too was roughly the size of a small child, however it could never have passed off as a kid wearing even an especially elaborate costume.
It was a pale, fleshy pink colour, with thin limbs and a long, whip-like tail. The scythes that took the place of hands on the ends of its arms slashed at the space between Tyto and the PetitMamon as it rushed to position itself between the two, taking a defensive stance against its fellow Digimon. It hissed, voice still glitchy and furious in the face of the perceived threat.
Tyto's grin only grew wilder and more unhinged as they stared down at it, taking note that while it appeared hostile to the other odd monster, it seemed almost protective of her. Feeling the device in her pocket buzzing and growing warm, she reached inside to pull it out to find the screen lit up and flashing the following words:
PARTNER SYNCED
The little Arkadimon was panicked, another Digimon was approaching its partner. That wasn't allowed! That one was theirs! They snarled softly as they watched the PetitMamon try to flatter and charm its way into the human's good graces, only to be manhandled in a fit of excitement. Served it right, approaching someone that belonged to it. However, this scenario was bad. That other Digimon had a predatory look in its eyes, and it knew that look well. That look meant hunger, it was always hungry so it knew. It was hungry even now, and if that other Digimon wanted to eat HER, then it would just have to become food itself.
Mind made up, the Arkadimon charged forward, scythes slashing between the two in an effort to startle the other Digimon back and create more room. It hissed and snarled at the foe before it, immediately feeling better now that it was standing between the source of the danger and Her. And it could feel something inside itself sliding into place, a connection settling and cementing the fact that the human belonged to it, and it belonged to the human. Partners.
Arkadimon readied itself for a fight.

Anne gave quite the yelp as this dumb little girl tugged at her ears, without even asking first, mind. No matter how much times she swat at the pest's hand to let her go with her trusty staff, grunting a little in pain, she practically had an iron grip on her. She didn't even bother to give two shits about what the dumb kid had to say. Only when she finally let go, Anne flew back a little and crossed her arms.
"Well, that wasn't nice of you, dearie." She frowned at the girl, "Around here, we do not greet each others by tugging at my head. How would you like it if I tugged at your hair like that, huh?" Sweet Yggdrasil, the faster she could kill the girl, the better. If anything, that little act would make her slow, painful death all the more satisfying.
Sighing, her gaze focused back on her meal, "Now, as I was saying, I am a good monster whom you can trust. A Digital Monster, if you will, or 'Digimon' for short. And this place, the Digital World, is what we call home~! I assume you're not from around here, are you, dearie?"
"Bah! That's OK~!" She gave a dismissive wave of her hand, as she floated back up to the girl, lightly grasping her hands and grinning, "I'll take care of you the best way I know how. From here on out, consider me, Anne, your one and only Digimon partne- AAAAH!"
That Digimon that slashed at Anne wasn't the only one screeching; the PetitMamon herself found herself letting out a loud yelp and backing away from the pesky human, finding herself staring directly into the tiny slit eyes of a Rookie-level Arkadimon, taking up a defensive stance between the two, practically daring her to take another step further towards the girl.
She hated to admit it, but that ugly bug was smarter than she thought... sadly.
But other than that? Well, she wasn't scared of it. Quite the contrary, "...you've got quite the nerve, barging in like this without permission, to boot." She sighed a little, "Ah well, not to worry, dearie. Allow me to teach this nasty bug quite the lesson. I promise it won't hurt... much." It was hard to tell whenever her wink was either genuine or sarcastic, but whatever it was, it didn't look reassuring.
With just a wave of her wand, the tip started to glow a bright pink. At the exact same time, Arkadimon would hopefully feel a similar glow on their own forehead. Had her spell worked, a tattoo-like image of a small skull would appear on it's head. It may not have known it now, but this seemingly-harmless attack was actually Anne putting a curse on her adversary. Any positive effects it may have gotten from it's abilities were now going to be negative to it.
"It's showtime, dearies~!"
Anne attempts to put a curse on Arkadimon with Reversal of Fortune. If hit, Arkadimon will have all beneficial effects from it's own passives/actives reversed instead.
Reversal of Fortune: This Digimon waves her wand, forming a small skull icon on the opponent’s head. For the next 3 posts, all passive and active abilities that would otherwise benefit her opponents hinders them instead. For example, if an ability were to heal the opposing Digimon in question, instead, they lose that amount of health by how much they would have healed instead. If a Digimon uses an ability that would boost their attack by a certain amount, instead, their attack decreases by that same amount and so on. This attack only works on Digimon the same level as this one. (3 post cooldown)
Cooldowns: Reversal of Fortune: Waiting (Duration 0/3)
