At the mountain of madness (Spirit Hunt W/ Daichi)

The snowy peaks of the Northern Province were hardly the place one would willingly choose for a mid afternoon hike. The climate was harsh at best and downright inhospitable at worst, the cold bitter wind chilling even the most cold blooded digimon down to their souls, and the almost never ending snow falling from the sky constantly weighing down those foolish enough to try and brave the storm.
Like many a time before in her life, Sasha found herself stuck being such a fool today, the woman slowly making her way up the side of the mountain one hand clutching her glowing digivice for a light to light her way through the cold fog, the other deep inside the pockets of her alpinist jacket that was still just a bit too thin for this weather. Behind her walked a smaller, slightly hunched over figure wearing an equally thick amount of protective clothing against the harsh elements.
Their bodies ached and felt numb both from the exertion in climbing all the way up there, and the relentless cold temperatures that not even their clothes could fully protect them against, yet they not once stopped their ascense.
What brought the blonde russian and her tentomon companion to such a place so bereft of life?
Simple really.
Earlier that morning, her digivice had been receiving an odd signal from somewhere up North from the Deeplane. Recognizing the signal being strikingly similar to that of a spirit totem, she figured it was only smart to try and locate it. After some hours of combing the digital world for it, it became apparent it was coming from one of the northern most places of the entire digital landscape, somewhere within the frozen reaches of the Northern Province. Not wanting to put off her search for any longer, she grabbed a small amount of supplies, called on to her self proclaimed "squire" for assistance and began her climb before she had time to think things through.
"How much further?" Her exhausted companion yelled from behind her, trying to be heard above the howling wind.
"No idea! Either a bunch of meters or a couple kilometres, but we should be getting there today at least!" She replied, looking closely at her digivice as she desperately tried to make something out from the blurry screen in her hand.

It's been a couple of weeks since Daichi met his two partners in the school and after some talking with a class mate that also was a "digimon tamer" he decided to take the weird creatures with him, what could possibly go wrong? They are small and don't seem too troublesome, he just need to make sure they stay in his room and feed them like a pet, right?
Well the thing he didn't expect was for the little bunny like thing and green duck to evolve into a ninja and monkey, they were still relatively small and easy to hide but they become much more active making the process of hiding them certainly more difficult, specially when Koemon started picking fights with his Saint Bernard, thankfully always on the losing side and the dog can't talk so they wouldn't be discovered.
Today the two reach peak stupidity (or was Daichi the one to blame) as when the teen went up to his room he discovered his window open and no sign of either of his mon, quickly grabbing his Digivice he activated the track function and look for them.
He jump on his bike and ride to where the device pointed, after half an hour or so the brunet finally reach his target, both mon were standing on the rails of the bridge in the Shibuya River, fortunately no one was around, Daichi sighed in relief and walked towards his partners, which both decided to jump into the river making the boy panic a lot, specially when the air bubble stop raising... Do digimon can drown? Well he certainly wasn't going to take the risk and he jumped.
What happen afterwards was hard to describe, Daichi has no recolection of what happen when he jump the only thing he knows is that in one moment he was going into the water and the other he was face planted in the snow... What? He wanted to take a look around but apparently there was a storm going on making it hard to view things ahead, the only thing he was able to see were the shape of his mon that were running towards him
"Sensei! Sensei!" The Koemon yell before jumping into the arms of the teen "I'm sorry Sensie, we miscalculated our landing... We were suppose to arrive in the village of beginnings"
"Indeed, we are extremely sorry and take the blame for this, if you so desire my lord I'd disappear in order to regain my honor" Igamon said unsheathing his sword and kneeling before the tamer
"No, no, stop with the honor thing, no seppuku! Just explain me were are we?" The teen let out a very exhasperated sigh
"The plan was simple, since we wanted to come to the digital world and you were afraid of it, we decided to trick you into falling in the portal and appear in our world"
"But we wanted a nice happy place to show you that our world is safe , but it seems that we landed somewhere in the northern prominence..."
Daichi at that moment just shut down, no matter how much he tried to think about the situation, he was trapped in an alien world in the middle of a freezing thundra and his "partners" were to blame for this, he wanted to be mad but he was so scared right now that he couldn't yell at the two.
"We're gonna have a long chat once we get home" He said dropping the Koemon and walking pass Igamon
What else could he do? Just walk and hope for the best, he was in no condition to walk on a weather like this, aside of his jacket he had no way of pretecting himself from the cold wind, luckily the ninja had an idea to keep them sort of warm and iluminate the path ahead
"I'm truly sorry my lord, I know it's not much but I hope this can be the beginning of my path to forgiveness" The Igamon unsheathed his sword again and ignited on fire, it wasn't strong but some sort of warm was brought to the group as well as light
"Thanks Jin"
"I may not be able to keep you warm, but my keen eyes can help on this weather" Koemon jump to the back of the teen and took a look around "I think I see a cave just a couple of meters east from here"
"Thanks Han, it would be best if we go there and wait for the storm to stop a little" The teen sighed and walked on the direction the monkey pointed out follow closely by the ninja

As more minutes passed it seemed that the small glowing signal on Sasha's device seemed to be getting closer to them. Excited, she began walking faster or at least...as fast as she could go without blindingly careening off the edge of the mountain. The higher they got, the colder and more grueling their approach becamed but they couldn't stop themselves. Not now.
It was only when they got a bit closer to the energy signature that they noticed something...wrong. First off it was leading them into what seemed to be an opening on the mountain's side, like a cave, so the totem was most likely underground or at the very least somewhere within that cave. Traversing a cold mountainside was one thing but there was something slightly creepy to Sasha about actually exploring the inside of it. At least on the outside you had places to run if things went awry. Even ignoring that there was just an odd, ominous gut feeling that Sasha got as she stared at the cave entrance.
Whether Emil shared those feelings with her or not he didn't say, but his silence and visible hesitation to enter the cave spoke louder than any words. Regardless, she still made her way inside the opening, the tentomon following closely behind. Inside she would let out a long, relieved sigh as the wind quieted down around her and the snow finally stopped falling straight into her face. She took the hood of her jacket off as she pressed her back against one of the stone walls and slowly let herself fall on her rump to the rocky floor.
Before Emil could do the same however, he'd gently tug at the side of her jacket, trying to get her attention.
"Uhm, miss Robinson, I'm afraid to inform you we are not alone here." He whispered, turning his head to the side to look at the other three figures inside the cave, two around the bug's side, one just a head or two taller than the russian.
The blonde yawned, tilting her head to one side to get a slightly better look at the other three. Clearly they were not hostile, else they would have probably already attacked them, so she didn't treat them with nearly as much hesitation as the tentomon did.
"Oh, hey there, sorry we didn't knock. We kinda really had to get away from the storm outside."

God only knows how much Daichi walked towards the supposed cave Han was talking, it might've been minutes but for him it felt like an eternity and once he finally reach the entrance he took two steps and his body finally give up, he didn't had the gear for this kind of extreme weather, his body was in pain and his legs felt numb, his partners help him move a little more insde the cave before arranging things for a fire and keep his tamer warm.
The teen curl up to a ball shaking doing his best to remain calm in this situation but in all honesty? It was a hard if not impossible task, he was on a mountain in the middle of nowhere with a freezing weather condition with 2 weak digimon and who knows what creatures lurk on this place, in this situation he would be crying but right now he hold it, only so his partners don't get more worried.
Now how to make a fire that last without wood or flammable things? Well they did had some wooden things, Jin pull a flute he carved from a tree in the human world while Han drop his trusty slingshot, of course Han was doing the biggest sacrifice throwing away his main weapon but desperate times require desperate actions
"I'm sorry brother, I promise make you a new one when we go back to the other world" Jin brought out his sword once again and with a swift movement he burn both sling shot and flute "The fire of the Iga clan knows no equal for it shall burn intensely until my own life fade away"
"That should be enough to pass the time then"
Daichi still did not utter a word, he move close to the improvised fire made by his partners and hug them trying to get as much warm for them as for himself as possible, right now those two are the only things familiar to him and keeping them around would be his biggest priority.
Some time passed and then finally someone arrive at the cave with them, a small buglike digimon and a blonde human that compared to their tamer was small too, the two digimon darted from Daichi's arms to stand between him and the other duo, but before they could say anything Daichi was the one to speak
"You're not interrupting anything... Come close to the fire if you want" He said weakly barely looking at the bug or girl, his mind was still wandering on the possibilities of getting out of here and back to his home, he didn't mind having some company to aliviate the weight and the fears he is currently holding

Since she was still trying to get her bearings after being stuck out in the cold snow for what felt like ages, Sasha took perhaps a bit longer than she anticipated to properly register the other three standing by the fire, seeing them as nothing more than amorphous blobs of color at the beggining. Hell, she was halfway surprised they even talked back to her, as if she was expecting them to not even be sentient beings but rather oddly colored rocks or something.
That said, she wasn't about to turn down an invitation like that. "Don't mind if I do." Giving a small smile in return to the rather somber voice that spoke to her, she got back on her feet and made her way next to the rather small fire, carefully stepping around the two digimon standing between her and the other human. She knelt next to the fire, reaching out her cold hands to try and warm herself up. That's when she finally got a good look at the other person. A boy, most likely younger than her since he looked to be around his teen years. There was an unmistakeable air of fear and sadness surrounding the poor kid who was most certainly not dressed accordingly to face a blizzard like the one outside. He looked...lost, for lack of a better word.
"Hey, are you doin' alright there? You're not looking too good." She asked with a headtilt, her tone casual and almost jovial, yet with a clear hint of concern.
As for Emil? He'd stare silently at the two humans by the fire, before turning to face the Koemon and Igamon and finally speaking, "Pardon me asking, but is your partner there fine? I don't mean to seem rude but he appears to be a bit under the weather..." He'd ponder all of this, resting his chin on his prosthetic hand.
"Oh right, how rude of me, apologies!" He suddenly added, giving a quick but polite bow of his head to both digimons. "My name is Emil, the loyal squire of my Lady Sasha Robinson of the Deeplane Council, who's standing there by the fire. To whom I have the pleasure of addressing?"

Daichi didn't pay too much attention to the "visits" just enough to realize one was a girl and the other a bug probably a digimon, in a way seeing another small digimon and not knowing much about them sort of help him, like sure for all Colin told him Digimon can be strong and powerful but if they still are that small how bad could it be?
"I'm hiding on a cave because I don't have the gear to survive the blizzard outside, trap in a world alien to me thanks to my "partners" and I'm sure there are more problems I'm ignoring to not lose my mind, is safe to say that I'm unjustifibly in a position I'd rather not be in"" He addressed the girl's question, he then realize how rude that sound and look at her bowing his head "I'm sorry, I should be more careful with my words, is just that my mood is all over the place right now"
As for the other two, they just look down to the ground when the "thanks to my partners" part came up, sure this was their fault 100% but they are trying to make things a little easier and surely when the blizzard ends they'll find a quick way to get down the mountain to the nearest Trailmon station
"Hopefully he'll be fine soon, just the bad situation not making things easy for any of us" Han answer Emil "Oh as for our names, I'm Han, future strongest digimon in both worlds!"
"And I'm Jin proud warrior of the Iga Clan, it's an honor to meet both of you Squire Emil and Lady Sasha"

Really, it didn't take a rocket scientist to tell the poor teen was having a rather lousy day, something Sasha couldn't help but sympathize with, her first time here hadn't been a fun experience either. In some ways it was almost worst, since at least it seemed as he had some previous knowledge of this place before arriving. At any rate, she chose not to dwell on that too much, simply giving a small shrug at the kids' apologize.
"Pft, don't sweat it kid, I'd be in a shitty mood too with this weather and no coat." Really, the only reason she wasn't also in a foul mood was only because of the prospect of finally finding another spirit in here and actually get stronger...but that could wait, truth be told she could use a moment to lay down and catch her breath, and having another human to talk to was as good a excuse as any to do so.
"Whats your name kid? Mine's Sasha." She asked with a friendly grin, trying if nothing else to help the teenager forget his predicament for a moment.
As for the tentomon, he nodded as the other two explained their side of the story, whilst also introducing themselves. At last, it was quite refreshing to meet other two seemingly chivalrous digimon such as himself...well, alive ones, that is.
"The honor is all mine, Sir Jin and Sir Han." The tentomon replied with another bow, though a growling sound coming from the insects stomach somewhat undermined what could have been a dignified salute. "M-my apologies, it seems my body can't go much longer without something to soothe it's hunger."
His growling stomach seemed to have something of a small domino effect, as Sasha's own belly soon let out a sound similar to his. "Shit, not a bad idea. Come'ere, Emil, they have a fire going!" She yelled at the tentomon, beckoning him to get closer with a wave of her hand, before turning her head to the teen and the other two rookies. "Hey, you three wanna join us for lunch?" What better way to make their situation a bit less miserable than with food?
As Emil made his way to the fire, he couldn't help but look to the teen, a concerned look in the bug's eyes as he sat next to the humans. His carapace opened up, revealing the set of wings underneath it but more importantly, a couple of plastic bowls, spoons and a singular metal pan hidden underneath them, not unlike a backpack if said backpack was also part of one's body. The cooking instruments fell to the cavern's floor with a loud bang, as the insect grabbed on to the pan and turn it upside down, letting it's contents fall on the floor as well: a couple of bags of instant noodles.
"It's not too fancy, I know, but it should help warm you all up and keep your spirits high." After that he took off his coat and handed it over to the twins. "Please wear this and stay close to the fire. I'll go out and get some snow to boil water for the noodles."
"Shouldn't you be keeping your coat on if you're going outside, then?" Sasha tilted her head, visibly confused, to which the bug responded,
"It would only get more wet out there, and I won't be long anyways. Besides...what kind of a knight could I aspire to be if I didn't help those in need?" With that he made his way back outside, never letting go of the metal pan.
Sasha squinted her eyes at the bug, letting out a rather loud "tsk". Talk about unsubtle advice. "He does have a point." She shrugged, letting out a sigh as she got a bit closer to Daichi, before she also took off her own coat, letting it fall rather unceremoniously on top of the teenager.
"There, wouldn't want you to become a human popsicle either."

To be 100% honest, having another person here actually help Daichi to ease himself a little, still shaking and curled up in a ball, but not scared or at least not as much as he was at first, knowing that there is another human that can sort of relate to his bad predicament was nice and reassuring, who knows? She might even help him out of this situation
"Yoshimura, Daichi" He answered making a small bow with his head "Nice to meet you miss...." At that moment he realize that the blonde introduce herself by name and not full name and last name, it was a little odd to use the first name of a stranger so suddenly, at least for Daichi specially since the blonde despite her height seemed older than him tho it was hard to tell for how much
And then she just invite them lunch..? Dinner? What time was it even? Doesn't matter, food was food and the trio would gladly accept, what's best that a nice meal on a moment like this? Daichi smirked and let out a soft "neat" When he saw the ladybug opening his wings and letting the food fall from it, it was like a small backpack inside of him, clever way of using it in all honesty
He also gave his coat to the twins, both thank the Tentomon, tho only Koemon stay with the coat "I am a master of the fire arts, I would bring dishonor to my clan if I don't endure this" That said Koemon curl himself in the coat until he look like a burrito with only his head popping up "Don't you think it would be best to help Sir Emil? With your fire you can melt the ice with ease so he doesn't have to spend too much time outside!" "Great idea, Lord Emil, let me follow you on this task!"
Daichi was taken by surprise for Sasha dropping her coat on top of him, but he accepted the gesture and cover himself with it.
"Thanks... I could use food too, you guys are too nice" He said laughing nervously, kid wasn't good with small talk specially around girls so it was going to be a little of an uncomfortable silence if there aren't many topics

"Eh, don't even mention it. You would have done the same." The blonde reassured Daichi with a small smile. Even if Emil hadn't told her to, she would have probably helped the poor kid out regardless. Even she wasn't cold enough to leave him to freeze. "First time with your partners here?" She asked Daichi, almost teasingly. Honestly? The respite from the storm outside was not only welcomed, but between the fire and the company of the teen and his partners (regardless of how miserable or down on their luck they seemed) there was an almost cozy air to the cave, at least for Sasha.
Perhaps she was truly going mad from all the adventuring on this insane world, but it almost felt like a camping trip. But with less hungry Siberian wolves outside. Hopefully.
As for the tentomon, he was about to consider Jin's offer for assistance before heading into the cold, before his choice of words gave him pause. "L-lord Emil..." The tentomon repeated aloud, frozen in his tracks for a moment (and not because of the cold this time!) while a faint reddish luminescent blush on his face as he turned to face Jin. That title had a nice ring to it, certainly, but he couldn't focus on such frivolous daydreaming right now! Shaking his head as if to shake away his self centered thoughts.
"A splendid idea. It would be an honor to have you on board, Lord Jin!" He nodded firmly in agreement, before heading out into the blizzard once again, hoping the ninja like digimon would follow suit. As he stored some snow into the metallic pot, he beckoned Jin to come closer to him.
"Can you use some fire on the snow here? We shouldn't take longer than a minute or so!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, trying to make himself clear above the deafening howling of the wind. As they continued their work for a short, almost insignificant moment Emil could have sworn the wind sounded...different for a moment. But he was too cold to care or give it a second thought.

"So you see this kid scare, shaking and freezing, and your first thought is "Yes, he'll totally do the same for me, I'm going to help"... Thanks tho, I owe you one" Said Daichi finally looking at his new companion "You sure you don't need this?" Pointing at the Coat the girl give him, sure froze to death doesn't sound fun to him, but he couldn't just private the girl from a form of warm "First time on this world, yeah, tho I had these two for a while now"
"If it helps our case, the sensei always daydreams with being a hero and we just thought it would be nice if he comes to our world and makes his dream come true!" Han added to the conversation giving a quick excuse before the blame is even thrown his or his brother's way
Daichi just blushed and look the other way to hide it, "Yes, Han, that's exactly what I need, embarrass me for the dumb ideas I have in front of the nice girl that is helping us, I really appreciate it" He thought for himself, because of course when being in a frozen tundra trying to stay alive the first of your priorities is to not look like a dumb kid in front of someone who's trying to help
Meanwhile with Jin and Emil, the Igamon follow the ladybug outside of the cave, the wind seemed to be stronger than when they first reach the cave, it's a fortune the keen eye of his sibling was able to find a place to hide otherwise this storm could've severely hurt their master, once the Tentomon finish filling the pot with snow the ninja walked closer and hold the hilt of his sword, raising his left hand to his face and only raising the index and middle finger while the rest were close in a fist. one savvy enough would tell he was mimicking a famous ninja pose
"I summon the power of the eternal fire of the Iga clan" Said while unsheathing his sword "IGA-RYU IAIJUTSU!" Once the blade it was fully out it started to burn in flames and Jin quickly place the fire sword in the pot filled with snow who started melting at a rapid peace

"What, you're saying you wouldn't help a poor, defenseless girl like me if you could? Chivalry IS dead." The blonde said, her hand placed on her chest and her voice with a jokingly hurt tone. Truth be told, there was something slightly satisfactory about Daich assuring Sasha that her deed was something the teen wouldn't have replicated. Ego trip aside however, it was clear the kid probably didn't think too highly of himself, either that or this situation had him (understandably so) really down in the dumps.
"Nah, I'm good, I can warm myself up just fine." She assured him with a dismissive wave of her hand. Indeed, her sprite form would have probably kept her from freezing to death if needed be, but she rather not having to waste her energy maintaining it if she had another source for warmth.
To the monkey's explanation about how and why they had all ended up in this desolate tundra wasteland however, she could only give a hearty chuckle. Not one of mockery mind you, but rather an endeared one, like the one you would hear from someone when a little kid said something unintentionally offensive, or when a cat didn't properly stick a landing.
"It's the thought that counts I guess...you guys could have found a better place to land, though, this would hardly be my first pick for a place to visit."
Meanwhile Emil couldn't hold back his giddiness at the sight of the ninja wielding that flaming sword to melt the snow.
"Amazing! A mastery over the blade and flames. You're truly worthy of carrying the name of your clan, Lord Jin!" He said, eyes practically glowing with amazement. "That should be plenty of water for-"
Stopping himself mid sentence, the bug turned himself around away from both Jin and the cave entrance, eyes glaring into the snowy mist that surrounded them. Amongst the deafening wind and the ever falling snow obscuring his vision, he was certain he could feel...something. Something large moving just outside their field of view, accompanied by a low rumbling sound barely audible above the storm.
"...did you hear that?" He turned to the Igamon, all the cheer in his voice replaced with caution...and dread. Soon after that he'd tightly grab at the water filled pan and make his way back into the cave, quietly beckoning Jin to follow.
Sasha was the first to raise her head to welcome back the two digimon, but Emil's words came too quickly for her to actually say anything.
"Lady Sasha, I hate being the bearer of startling news but...I think there's something or someone out there. Something big."
The russian's so far jovial mood seem to darken considerably for a moment, a pensive scowl on her face as she looked back at the worried tentomon. She let out a sigh before speaking up again,
"Well, they're gonna have to wait until we've had our dinner, I'm starving." She stated as she took the pan from off the bug's hands (claws?) and put it over the fire. Emil seemed to be too stumped to properly react for a good five seconds, before he finally got his bearings again.
"L-lady Sasha, did I not make myself clear?"
"Oh no, you did. But if we don't eat now we'll probably starve to death before anything else kills us."
The bug shook his head exhasperated, seemingly raising his hand to say something (probably an objection of some kind) before bringing it back down. He did this a couple more times until he threw his arms up in defeat.
"Tch. Fine. While you cook I'll procure us an escape route should the need arise. Since someone has to look after our safety." With that he marched in a huff to the more obscure, darker side of the cave. Sasha simply gave him a small wave of his hand as a response.
"Atta boy, I knew you'd understand." She said without taking her eyes off the slowly boiling pan. As she opened the noodle bag to pour its contents into the water however, a quiet, stern yet knowing voice rang inside her mind, away from the prying ears of the other four.
"You should probably apologize later, he's just looking after you all..."
"I know."

"Oh no, Chivalry isn't dead, I'm just not a knight in Shining armor and more like the King's cheff or personal buffon" Daichi answer with a light smirk "If we were at home I would help you, my family owns a sushi restaurant, but since we're in a dark cave with a blizzard outside in an alien world... Yeah you get my point"
"I don't think we can control where we land using the portal in the river, we could use a Trialmon but no easy way to put sensei in one so we had to hope for the best!" The Monkey said with a big ear to ear smile
Meanwhile with the Jin and Emil, the ninja stood proud thanks to the compliments of the ladybug, sadly there was not enough time for compliments as something was near, neither Jin nor Emil could point out where or who, but definitely a strong digimon was close,
"Yes, I hear it, fighting outside wouldn't be our best plan since the storm is affecting or view and the snow our movement, inside the cave will be cornered and in a tight space but we have the advantage in numbers going three against hopefully just one" The Ninja spoke as he follow Emil back inside
Once they were inside the trio of tamer and partners remain silent while Sasha and Emil went back and forth on what to do, it was a bit uncomfortable for Daichi to say the least but he didn't want to say anything either, not that he could add much anyways, he look at Han and make a quick move with his head pointing to where Emil was going, the Monkey understood and throw the coat on top of his brother before following the ladybug making elaborated and flippy jumps
"Now is my turn to follow you and help, my sight is near perfect so I'm sure I'll help in the more dark parts of the cave!"
With that out of the way Daichi sighed and look at Sasha "I know I'm not the best person to say this, but I think you should've listen him" The teen look back at the fire as the girl prepared their food "Was wondering... Where's your other partner? I am new at this whole thing but the other tamer I know has two partners just like me, yet I only see that ladybug with you"

"Heh, well maybe you can invite me over to have sushi at your place someday. Seems like a fair trade." She smiled with a wink, before turning back her attention to tending the fire. As for Emil, while he felt somewhat more at ease for having someone ready to fight along side him, he still didn't quite like their chances at the moment. And he was quick to let the ninja know.
"If I'm being perfectly honest Sir Jin whatever is out there sounds large enough to make numbers a moot point."
Once they were back in and Sasha proved to be quite unhelpful, he was at the very least relieved to have the help of Jin's brother in the search for an escape route.
"Much appreciated, Sir Han." He thanked with a nod of his head, making his way to the dark back of the cave with the monkey in tow. It was hard for him to see much at all, but it was too late to go back and ask Sasha to lend him some wood to make a torch. Well...really he just didn't want to talk to her right now as he was still quite upset at her stubborness, but details. "Tch, I can feel there's some sort of crack in the wall here. I think we could fit through here. Sir Han, can you see if it leads anywhere?"
Did Sasha feel bad at all about how she had treated Emil's concerns? A bit, but she was too stubborn to let it show right now. Besides, it's not that she didn't believed him, she simply figured it was better to fight or run on a full stomach! Not that she would tell Daichi that, last thing she needed was having a teen panicking on top of everything else.
"Eh, don't worry, I will, just after lunch is ready. Speaking of which..." She grabbed a hold of one the plastic forks she was keeping inside the empty bowls, and put it inside the now boiling water, stirring it a bit before slowly taking out one of the now limp noodles inside, before giving it a try. Its taste was quite a bit underwhelming truth be told, but such were the risks of instant noodles. She wordlessly filled up two bowls and handed them to the teen and his remaining partner, before serving herself one as well, opting to wait for the other two to come back before giving them their share, else their bowls would get cold before they were back.
As she started having her way with her bowl, Daichi asked a simple, but fairly good question about partners. Understandable, given this was his first time. "Oh, as far as I know you can either have one or two partners, though I think they have to be related for you to have more than one. Though I think some people can have even more than that? Eh, I wouldn't know really, he's not my partner anyways, we just...go way back, you could say." She said with a shrug. A bit of a non answer for sure, but she was trying to save the reality of her situation for after lunch. Or at least that was the plan...but the ever approaching sounds of gigantic footsteps echoing on the outside clearly had other plans.
"God damnit..." She sighed, glaring at the outside of the cave, before looking at the other two. "Get your things and come with me. Bring your soup and finish it if you can." With that she'd grab her coat under her arm and carried the metal pan with the remaining noodles inside before making a beeline for the back of the cave.
"Emil, please for the love of God tell me you guys found an exit now."

Daichi thought for a second, if he was able to get out of this situation it would definitely be thanks to the help of Sasha, so of course he was going to invite her something once they’re back, he’ll just have to think of something to make it “on the house” and not make her pay, he already had an idea tho and it’ll also explain why he was taking so long
“Sure, get me out of here and you’ll get an “everything you can eat” treatment” The teen smiled
Meanwhile on team Monkey-Bug, Han lead the walk as his eyes were more trained to see on any kind of sight impediment (you gotta be ready to hit the bullseye no matter what after all) of course having a torch would’ve been much better but the monkey could tell Emil wasn’t in the mood to go back with his partner
“Humans sure are something else, aren’t they?” The monkey speak trying to just make a conversation and keep himself entertained while walking this darkening corridor “We just met ours sometime ago, humans are weird and I don’t quite understand them yet, my brother has a better grasp but nothing to brag either, how long have you two been together? Does it get easier to understand them with the time?”
As he kept talking the duo reached a wall with small crack that they could fit, the Monkey nodded to the ladybug and try to go through it, it took some time but he finally made it to the other side, it was even darker, his eyesight starting to finally give in to the darkness, yet he still was able to see something.
“Just another big corridor, even darker than the one we came from, I can’t see too far so don’t know where it might take us” Said the monkey looking at the crack trying to talk to Emil
As for Daichi he smile as Sasha give him the bowl with noodles, to be improvised in the spot it definitely looked delicious, either that or he was too hungry to care for quality, besides it sure will help to heat up his body a bit, warm food is always good on this situations!
He listen to what Sasha said about the partners, he nodded as he listen barely taking his focus out of the bowl until something change… Big footsteps could be heard in the distance and the water in his bowl started to ripple, almost like in that movie about dinosaurs he saw once… Definitely not a good signal
“I’ll be your light” Jin said igniting his sword once again as Sasha gave the order to start moving
Daichi sighed, just when he thought things were getting better, well for now the only thing he can do is to follow the more experience girl and hope things go smoothly

As much as getting out of there alive took top priority, Sasha had to admit the dinner related offer was far too tempting to pass. She was a simple girl of simple (though not necesarilly cheap) tastes.
"It's a date then." She said, giving him a teasing wink and a nudge to the shoulder.
As for the bug? He was at least somewhat content to have Han for a more grounded company. "I'll have to agree on that, they're certainly a handful." Emil shrugged, glancing back at the blonde girl for a moment and shaking his head, before continuing on his way. "Oh, in total I'd say about a week or so. We actually met a good while ago but we don't see eachother that often. Though I don't feel I'm any closer to understand how they think I believe I'm somewhat starting to understand her."
True she was quite foolhardy and hardheaded in equal measures, but he still had nothing but respect for Sasha, or at least what she represented to him. Soon after his inspection of the cave wall, the green monkey confirmed his suspicions. At the very least they had an escape route that didn't involve going into the freezing cold again, even if it was a bit cramped.
"It's better than nothing, surely after they're done eating we can just..." Of course, the sounds of loud footsteps and Sasha ordering them to move were quick to interrupt him.
By the time the russian reached the end of the cave next to the bug and monkey, a tall corpulent figure could be seen obscuring the entrance to the cave, slowly lumbering its way inside.
"Just our luck..." Sasha bit her lower lip, grabbing Daichi by the shoulders and shoving him towards the tunnel. "You four get in there and don't dare get close, ok?"
With that she turned her back on them and rushed to meet the large figure, extracting her now glowing digivice out of one of her pockets. With a quick motion of her hand a familiar glow covered her whole being. It soon faded however, revealing a sight that would no doubt surprise Daichi at the very least: her body now completely transformed into that of a green ogre like creature wielding a long sword. The musyamon let out a deep roar that was soon matched by a louder, deafening roar from the large creature that was now visible thanks to the still lit fire, a white furred primate larger than any gorilla not named Kong. All the while Emil looked on with visible concern, before doing as he was told and heading into the tunnel. "Please do as she says, it's going to get dangerous soon."
