Sun shining, a perfect day off from all Clayton had to do, unfortunately this day was already sorta ruined by the fact he was now in a small tree, only a bit taller then him trying to grab something out of the branches. A white paper could easily be seen in the tree and the teen had started climbing in order to get it. "How did it get up there anyway? Wind couldn't of blown it that far up." cursing himself for not keeping it weighed down the teen got many a state as he attempted to grab the object in question. Unfortunately flr him however as soon as he grabbed it the branch he was on gave way making the teen fall from the tree quite fast. Not managing to catch himself in the air he swung his arms around letting go of the object in question as it floated slowly down.
"God dangit." he braced for an impact as he hit tbe ground with a loud thud. "Oww, jeez that hurt like heck." he said rubbing his back as he slowly sat up, the paper he reached for away to his side and his D-tector and Flash light having fallen out of his pocket and off to his side.
"Ah, this is nice..." Dokamon commented as he rested underneath a tree with his partner Johan. This would be one of the very few times that the robotic Digimon would be found smiling. Thanks to his position under the tree, people would either not notice Dokamon or think that he was just some kinda toy.
"Back in Minnesota it would be absolutely freezing out right now," Johan said as he typed away at his laptop, attempting to improve his tech skills, which was indeed his way of relaxing. "But right here in Japan it's T-Shirt weather, so that's convenient! You think we should've invited the twins?"
"No, I do not know if Speed would enjoy relaxing that much. He appears to be the restless type to me."
"Yeah... maybe Psych would've liked to join though."
As the two were talking they heard a loud snap followed by a thud, then someone crying out in pain. Johan looked up from his laptop to find another kid on the ground, clearly having fallen from the tree. The young man put his laptop to the side and ran over to the fallen person. "Oh god, are you okay?"
Johan definitely noticed something on the ground when he ran up to the kid. It looked very familiar, too. Johan reached down and grabbed the item, which turned out to be a gold and black D-Tector, the same model his fellow agent Yaku had. "A Digivice? That must mean..."

Clayton slowly rubbed his back hearing someone nearby ask him if he was ok, forcing a smile he gave them a thumbs up. "I might've landed on my keys, other than that though I'm fine. Thanks for asking." slowly he grabbed the discarded items around him, stuffing his flashlight and papers into his jacket pockets. Hearing the stranger mention a digivice however made Clayton look in his pocket to find it missing.
"Oh, wait you know what that is?" hoping up on his feet he thought a few moments about what to say, his face looking weirdly mad as it tended to when he was deep in thought.
"So you're one of them, what did they say. Digidestened or something." reaching his hand out he motioned for his digivice back giving a small smile. "Sorry about the uhh, falling thing. Hope I didn't disturb you or nothing."
He tried thinking again on what to say, his face going back to the slightly mad looking expression he usually had while thinking.
After the kid affirmed that he was okay, Johan would grab onto his arms and help him get up. Johan would observe the D-Tector some more, wondering if the other kid even knew what it was. Turns out he did, and asked Johan if he knew what it was as well. "Yeah, of course I do. I know a person who has one as well," he would say as he handed the D-Tector back.
Johan would step back slightly as this person began to look fairly mad. He didn't know who this guy was, and he wasn't exactly sure if he was gonna try anything either. Eventually he asked if he was a Digidestined. Johan simply smiled and nodded. "I suppose you could say I am. Name's Johan Walker, pleasure to meet you." He would then extend his right arm towards the kid for a hand-shake.
He didn't seem to know what to do or say next with this information, so Johan provided an idea. "Would you care to meet my Digimon partner? He's just sitting next to the tree over there. He's pretty stand-off-ish but I'm sure he'll be nice."

Clayton had noticed the now dubbed Johan back off while he was thinking, taking a moment he realized why and laughed a bit as he put the D-tector back in his pocket. "Sorry, I've been told I can look a bit angry when I'm thinking about what to say." he quickly explained as he shook their hand. "Clayton Herron, nice to meet you."
His eyebrow went up a bit at the idea of meeting another Digimon. "I'd love to, so far I've only met two, er three if you count me technically." he let out a small laugh remembering that time, scared outta his mind.
He'd follow Johan back to the tree but before they'd reach it he'd hafta ask. "So you've met someone with this device huh? Do you know how it works?" pulling it from his pocket he looked it over once. "I've only managed to use it by accident once, at a pretty bad time as well.
Johan couldn't help but laugh when the kid, who revealed his name to be Clayton, mentioned that he tends to look angry when he's thinking. "For real? That's kind of hilarious. You go to Shibuya Academy, right? I think I might've seen you around school."
The teen smiled when Clayton agreed to meet Dokamon. As they walked over there, Clayton asked if he knew how the D-Tector works, how spirit wielders turn into their Digimon. "You're a Spirit Wielder, yeah? I don't know the specifics but I do know that the wielder's hand becomes surrounded by a ring of data, and they simply use the Digivice to quote-on-quote 'scan' it. I suppose you're still new to Digimon and the Digital World?"
When they reached the tree, Dokamon would look up curiously at the newcomer. "Dokamon, this is Clayton. Turns out he's a Spirit Wielder as well."
"Exactly like Yaku."
"I see then. It is a pleasure to meet you, Clayton. My name is Dokamon. Tell me, what kind of spirits do you have currently?" He would say this all in a semi-monotone voice, and his facial expression not changing much at all.

Clayton let out a small sigh of relief when Johan believed him. "Yeah it sometimes gets me into trouble, dunno why my face does that. Also yeah I do go to school there, I'm sure we've passed by each other once or twice, not that big of a school."
Grabbing his D-tector out of his pocket he looked at his hand for a moment while Johan explained the scanning thing. "Yeah I'm still pretty new, the guy I met, Dante, explained a lot to me. But explaining and experiencing are wildly two different things."
Eventually the tree was reached and Clayton looked down towards the voice now labeled Dokamon. "Oh, huh you look pretty cool. I like your gloves, or er maybe metal hands?" forgetting to introduce himself Clay quickly recovered. "Sorry, yeah I'm Clayton Herron. My friends call me Clay. As for what spirits I have, well only one so far. Looks like a little dinosaur in Kendo armor."
Clayton reached down with his hand showing how tall the digimon form he took was compared to his height. "I think it's called Kotemon, which is weird cause I practice Kendo myself. Little too on the nose there to be a coincidence.
"Well, the school is definitely bigger than the middle school I went to back where I'm from. I'm a foreign student, originally from Minnesota but I decided to pursue my education here in Japan. I just like the culture."
Clayton mentioned getting help from someone named Dante but is still relatively new to everything relating to Digimon. "Well I am a bit more experienced in terms of the Digimon themselves but I do not know too much about the Spirit side of it all, as I am what you would call a Digimon Tamer."
Johan had lead Clayton to the tree where Dokamon was resting under. He stood up to greet Clayton eye-to-eye. He said that Dokamon looked pretty cool, and he liked his metal glove-hand-whatevers. "They are my natural hands. And I appreciate the compliment."
When asked about his spirits, Clayton said his sprite spirit was that of a Kotemon. "Oh, Dokamon and I met one of those before. He was partnered with someone who was also from Minnesota. And yeah, it is a coincidence that you practice kendo and have a Kotemon spirit!"
"Hm... I have never seen a Spirit User change into their Digimon form before. Would you kindly do so? There is no one around at this point in time, and I would be able to observe your abilities, as you would be able to observe mine."

Clay remembered tamers, after all, he had met one. when Johan mentions this fact he simply nods in agreement. "I know about Tamers, the guy I met was one. Had a Wormmon, he was a little intense but helped me figure this all out."
Johan seemed to agree it was a coincidence he had it, maybe not all Digimon stuff was based on the person. Who knows? "Yeah, made the form feel a little more familiar, I mean as familiar as a small Kendo dinosaur can feel to a human." letting out a small laugh after this at the absurdity of turning into something like that.
But the mention of transforming did seem to have Clayton a bit worried, looking around it would appear there weren't that many people around here anyway. With a small nod, Clay brought out his D-tector once more. "I show you my abilities you show me yours? Yeah, that sounds fair enough why not."
Hoping he doesn't mess this up Clay held the device up to eye level trying his best to recall how he did this last time, putting his other hand straight he lifted it to the sky for a moment before slashing it against the device causing a small shower of Data to appear and surround his human form. Once it vanished the small Kotemon with a wooden sword would be standing in his place looking a bit upwards, more used to seeing higher than this. "Welp this is it, probably a little less impressive seeing how you've seen this one before."
"A Wormmon, eh?" Johan asked, trying to recall what a Wormmon looked like. He knows that he learned about them from somewhere. A green caterpillar-spider combo with blue eyes came into mind. "Oh, Wormmon! Those things are weirdly not creepy for being giant bugs. What was this Tamer's Wormmon like?"
Oh, he is going to regret that question later on.
Johan laughed along with Clayton as he joked about a kendo dinosaur feeling familiar. "Yeah, that sort of thing takes a while to get TRULY familiar. I didn't find my strife with Digimon until I joined this one particular group. I'll tell you about it sometime."
Clayton had agreed to show Dokamon his abilities as a Kotemon. The young Spirit User would use his device to become engulfed by a stream of data before in his place a small dinosaur wearing kendo armor would be. It was still a bit off to see an actual human become a Digimon for Johan, but he pushed that aside and went with it. "You look almost exactly like the Kotemon that Dokamon and I had met!"
"Yes, the resemblance is quite... uncanny."
Now that Clayton was a Kotemon, Dokamon stood up to face him. "I will allow you to have the first strike."

Clayton had to think for a moment about how to describe Wormmon in the best way possible, for a few seconds he mulled it over before simply saying. "He was loud, a little obnoxious also. But helped me all the same"
Clayton couldn't help but feel a bit excited to fight now, grasping the wooden sword he twirled it almost expertly around before holding it in front of him in a more forward stance. "Alright then, here's to a good match." Clayton said before giving a small respectful bow holding his sword back up after.
Holding his stance for a few moments Clayton slowed his breathing and focused for a moment before dashing forward a bit aiming a simple thrust with the tip of the blade towards Dokamon's stomach extending his arm more outward to keep his body away from those fists. Not a hard thrust by any means but enough to leave someone smarting for a bit.
In an effort to show politeness, Dokamon would bow at the same time Clayton had bowed before the spar actually began. It made the whole thing look so official! Johan decided to pull out his smartphone to be able to observe this later. Maybe some helpful tips would come from this?
Dokamon waited for Clayton to take his first shot at him. The now Kotemon began the battle with a simple thrust of his sword right at Dokamon. The blue robotic Digimon would place his metal gauntlet arms in front of him right at the blade struck, minimizing the damage somewhat but also causing Dokamon to slide back a couple feet.
The Dokamon kept his stoic poker face. "You have power even as a Sprite Spirit. I appreciate that." He would then extend his right fist at Clayton shot the actual fist right at the Kotemon, as if it was on a rocket. "Dokkan Rocket!"Dokamon manages to somewhat block Clayton's initial attack, still taking a bit of damage, before launching a "Dokkan Rocket" at him.

The blade found its mark, or at least close enough as Dokamon had enough time to block the thrust. Noting it sent him backwards a bit Clayton backed off his assault, unsure of Dokamon and his own abilities it would be best to play this safe and defensive. But a bit of praise from Dokamon did make him smile behind the helmet. "There's more power where that came from, not so bad yourself."
But the second part of what he said, Rocket made Clayton lower his guard for a bit. "H-Hang on there's no way." but it would seem Clayton was right in his thoughts as thr metal arm flew off of Dokamon and right at Clayton. Instincts kicking in he did his best to dodge it but couldn't get the sword up in time to block, the fist hit the side of his head making Clay stumble a bit. "Rocket powered fists? That's so cool." shaking his head he slapped his face a bit recovering from the blow to the head "Focus Clay, Focus!"
But now seeing as the fist had to make a return trip this seemed like his best chance, holding his blade up with his eyes closed Clayton went from standing to dashing within a moments notice aiming a powerful strike towards Dokamon very fast. "Sudden, strike?" naming moves wasn't one of his best abilities.

A rare but very visible grin was found on Dokamon's face as the rocket fist returned back to his arm after a successful hit. It had been a while since Dokamon had a decent fight, and he was confident that this Spirit User would give him one he would surely remember.
Is... is Dokamon actually smiling? Johan thought. He zoomed the camera in on Dokamon's face to be able to capture such a rare moment.
Suddenly before anyone could even blink, Clayton was right behind Dokamon and the latter had a surprised look on his face as he fell backwards from the attack, clutching his side. Now, they had no reason to worry too much about noise or collateral damage as they were both rookies and they were in a very secluded area of the park, but even this made Johan a bit nervous about being discovered.
Dokamon managed to pick himself up, coughing slightly as he did so. "I must admit I did not see that one... DOKADOKA BLAST!" Dokamon suddenly aimed his palm at Clayton and released a lightning strike attack right at him.Dokamon uses "Dokadoka Blast" on Clayton.

Clayton had managed to deliver a hard blow it seemed, swinging his sword he turned around to face Dokamon once again blade ready for whatever came next, part of him felt bad seeing Dokamon fall down after his strike but he remained focused, eyes narrowed in solely on his opponent for this match.
When Dokamon admitted to not seeing that attack Clay almost mentioned he didn't as well, after all he was making up moves on the fly pretty much. But this next move was something Clay didn't see coming as he pointed his palm at Clayton making him think he was gonna fire another fist, yet lightning shot out instead towards the Kotemon.
Unprepared Clay got hit dead on by the attack getting shocked pretty badly by the blow, the lightning gave him an idea however as he stumbled a bit still reeling from the electric. "Electricity huh, wonder if you can take what you dish out?" with a smile he held his sword up high as the wooden blade became engulfed in yellow lightning itself, taking a step forward he spun around dragging the weapon with him as he made a full circle, away from Dokamon strangely enough the blade would not have enough reach to hit the rookie. "Thunder" he said stopping his blade as lingering electricity shot out around him going towards Dokamon. "Cyclone"
After the attack though Clayton seemed a bit more tired then he should, despite the few blows he took he seemed to already be panting a bit, holding his sword a bit more downward as if he was having a bit of trouble holding it up. "C'mon Clay you got this, let's go."
The Spirit is taking its toll on Clay despite the few attacks sustained.
