”Well it’s just another aspect I’m going to have to learn. What was the phrase? The pen is mightier than the sword?”
The shutmon let out a small laugh and went back to her chili; enjoying the flavor and the texture that it had. Though it might not have been as rich as some of the others she tasted it certainly held one hell of a punch. She’d note the reaction that syre had to the question and silence paused in her consumption of the chili as syre answered her question.
K was syre’s mother; a renamon that was full of love and put her family before anything else. Sure she did stuff for the knights but it was always for them. Silence sat there quietly and rubbed at her chest; she felt her core twitch in all these answers she was given and the difference was made clear to her. K had something that she wanted to protect and wanted to fight for. She sighed and shook her head; mumbling quietly.
”So that’s the difference between us then.”
It was plain and obvious; silence had nothing but herself to fight for. Nothing to protect and truly she was the sort that maybe didn’t need it… Sure she had lux, she had mikemon but… Was it that vast loneliness that she felt in her core that answered it? She looked down at the bowl of chili and shook her head slowly.
”She had something to fight for. I’m just some kid with a bunch of power at their fingertips. Do you think that if I had no relation to K that things would still have turned out the same? That I’d of been under such a looking glass from Iko or the others?”
Silence leaned in her chair and rubbed at her chin; she seemed oddly thoughtful. Pensive. Somewhat frustrated at the fact she was even voicing all of this. Then there was something else that clicked with her.
”...I’ve heard a lot about her and the things she’s done. Stuff about her kids, you guys. Stuff about her group but nothing super… Well. Mysterious. Who’s this Siris? This is the first time I’ve heard his name even mentioned.”
"She was just a strong fox, hellbent on doing the right thing, loving every minute of her life."
How different are we to one another. But at the end we’re just the same. Two people wanting to do the right thing in our own way?
Silence shifted and poked at her chili with the spoon, her appetite hadn’t been lost but she definitely was eating slower. There was one last thing she felt she had to address. One last thing she wanted to know.
”Out of everyone here syre, out of everyone that I’ve met so far. I’ve always wondered about something about you. What do you want? I know you’re in the knights and I know their mission but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you share all the same views that the group might have in mind… whatever those are entirely. What’s your goal? What’s your gameplan?”
