Dull. That was the best way Littorio could explain her new found second job working under the Deeplane Council. Many of her fellow council members took on far more enjoyable humanitarian or diplomatic roles buuuuuuuuuuuut not Littorio. She had been given the often underappreciated and ever so vital task of administration. Filling in paperwork, categorising documents, organising the filing system and keeping track of who was doing what.
The Italian exhaled heavily, staring at a huge stack of papers next to her and the smaller stack to her left. She was fortunate to have cleared out the majority of the forms already but now that she was in the final stretch her drive was beginning to crumble, the facade she maintained to integrate slowly breaking down. Were it not for the presence of Lavinia and her assistance things would have been far more bothersome.
“Mah….I was unaware how understaffed the administration here was….” But no matter what, Littorio would maintain her facade. She desired these people’s trust, not out any concern for them or because she cared but merely because it would best serve her plans. Still...she was so boring….ahhh…… With another heavy sign she signed off one last document, double and triple checking that all the details were in place.

(Hi I'd like bits pls)
It was not so much that administration within the council was understaffed, more...the volume of work to be done here was way more than one person could feasibly handle at some points. Ordinarily, the other person who did most of, if not her work within Deephold would be capable of handling the occasional spike of paperwork herself. Mostly because she had her partner (who was a good deal smarter than she looked) to help her with that.
Today was not like that. She had been informed there was someone new helping out around here, so Akemi's instructions were...simple, actually. Make sure they were acclimating well. Rather painless to do while going over the litany of papers that were in Digimoji and common lettering.
"So, who was this lady again?" Anzu whispered as she and Akemi moved through the halls of Deephold towards their new...co-worker's office. Or at least where the latter was sure it was (it probably was). "New member. Don't want them to run off or disappear like Talia did, right?"
"...Yeah, guess that's one thing..." The bean muttered, looking throughout the purple-lit halls. It was a rather unique structure they were in, so getting lost, even when you lived here was kind of easy. Regardless, Akemi reached the door she was looking for and gave a swift knock, with Anzu taking a perch on the girl's head. Would Littorio dare to answer?
...Especially with all these documents just begging to be double/triple/quadruple-checked?

While Littorio was pondering napping, there came a tapping, as of someone gently rapping, rapping at the office door. Her ears perked up, the melancholic drowse inflicted upon her lifting away. She remained silent for a few moments, gaze darting to the LadyDevimon that was Lavinia’s current form. “ Lavinia, could you be a dear and see to our guests please?” The Digimon put down the pile of papers she had been carrying, leaving them next to the folder they belonged in. Expense reports were something Lavinia had really grown to despise in her few hours working here. Did humans really need to take note of everything on paper? “ Sure.” Lavinia turned on her heels, shoes clacking against the wooden floor as she made her way to the door. The scent of perfume on the wind, Lavinia’s form filing the door frame up and lastly… “ Whoever it is feel free to come in~” Littorio’s tantalising voice, drifting over everything and coating it in a layer of metaphorical honey. “ Hello” With a curt greeting Lavinia stepped sideways, her tall and rather endowed form stepping away to allow entry into the office. She returned to that pile of papers from before and got to work putting them into the correct folder. She had an inkling these expense sheets would need to be reorganised in the future but for now this would do. When , and perhaps more importantly if, the visitors would venture into this den of bureaucracy the Italian would raise her smiling face, waving softly. “Aha? Ara~ Welcome to my little corner of hell. Don’t let the stacks of paper scare you off.” She locked onto the features of her guests, greedily devouring their appearance like a hyena does a carcase. The eyes of a beast had turned onto Akemi and Anzu, plotting how to beast eat~them~up~

Well, the door had been opened and Akemi was greeted by a Digimon she had legitimately never seen before. It resembled a LadyDevimon, but...a number of characteristics were different, or more exaggerated. Such as the claw, or the little spirit that hovered near them. "Oh, we got a LadyDevimon with the Antibody now? Neat! I was wondering when more would come around." Anzu on the other hand, seemed less keen to stare awkwardly at the demon.
It was honestly like she was greeting an old friend. "Hey! My name's Anzu, nice to meet you! We'll probably be working together in the future." The girl looked upwards to the bean on her head. "...Friend of yours?"
"Nope. I just know her species well. They used to be rare, but...A lot more have been popping up as of late. It's like how my cousin and I were the only Mephistomon X around for the longest time." ...Who even -was- Anzu's cousin? Nevermind that. As Lavinia stepped aside to get back to work, Akemi stepped inside, with Anzu trailing behind her as the bean lifted off from her head.
Yep. This was definitely an office. Not too dissimilar from Akemi's own. And manning it was...A rather kindly-looking woman. "I don't think the paper's anything to be afraid of. What's on it might be, but...You get what I mean, right?" The girls legitimately seemed unfazed by Littorio's gaze. Well, Anzu did. Akemi was not sure how to take that.
"Just thought I'd come by to see how you were doing. I know menial work here can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it gets better in time. Um...My name's Akemi. Another member of the council. It's nice to meet you, miss...?"

“Oh? You are familiar with X-antibodies? I was rather surprised when I discovered I possessed one.” Lavnia made a mental note to inquire more about X-antibodies later for now she had an ever growing sack of papers to organise. She took a seat down at her desk, and sorted the expense sheets into their folder on a department by department basis, with monthly dividers to make it easier to navigate in the future.
“It is a pleasure to meet you too. My name is Lavinia” The X-antibody digimon was rather confused. She was sure she had never met this flying potato of a digimon before yet they seemed oddly familiar with her. The Lady Devimon X’s expression twisted into a mixture of confusion and a little dash of paranoia but it passed rather swiftly, aided mostly by the explanation that Anzu did not know Lavinia.
“Oh it’s nothing I’m not used to. It is rather similar to my day job however...I am surprised by the sheer quantity.” The Italian suffocated the desire to ask if there was anyone else who took charge of the paper work here, not wanting to risk harming the relationship between herself and her coworkers. She was planning to use them for her own schemes eventually but that day was not today.
Whatever expression Littorio had been wearing faded pretty quickly, replaced with a normal smile as she hummed a brief tune to herself, followed by a period of silence that ended just soon enough for it to avoid being awkward.
“Mazanti. But you can call me Littorio honey.” Her smile had dialed down in intensity as she focused on the endless hell of bureaucracy before her. At least now she had someone cute to spend time with….Lavinia was attractive but she was rather resistant to teasing and uninterested in more carnal hobbies.

"A little more than most." Anzu replied towards Lavinia. "I've...known I've had mine for a good deal of my lives. However, there didn't seem to be many Mephistomon X out in the world for the longest time..." The bean took a glance back towards the LadyDevimon X, then towards Litorrio and Akemi. The bean's gaze fell upon the tattoo on the woman. "...I'll be keeping a close eye." The bean stated, a great deal more serious than she had just been. Trusting the latter to keep her wits about her, the bean took off from her head and flew a little closer to see how Lavinia was doing with her papers.
Obviously, distance was kept. Personal space did exist in this hellhole of an office, after all.
Meanwhile, with the new council member and Akemi...The girl gave Li a few nods. The fact this was like her day job did lend a few points in her favor when it came to menial work such as paperwork. The quantity, however. "That's to be expected. I don't believe it was ever intended for just one person to take care of it--Truth be told, I've...tried to do it all myself before. Usually ends with me pulling an all-nighter, or close to one...I can try to help if you need it, though."
It wasn't that Akemi read minds. Sheee didn't have that power. No, she just knew what this stuff was like, so she had the idea of trying to ease the burden on others that were doomed to bureaucracy sometimes.
Mazanti...Sounded distinctly unjapanese. Italian, maybe? Hm. The name given sounded like that of a battleship, too... "Amaya. Just call me Akemi." Last name, first name. In order. "What about the city itself, how are you finding it?" And like anyone dedicated to the city they helped build, Akemi had half the mind to see how this new person was enjoying it,.
No harm done in that, right?

“I see….perhaps once I am finished with today’s work you would be willing to inform me on the nature of X-antibodies? My efforts to research it independently have born little fruit.” Lavinia’s thirst for knowledge was one of her main driving motivations but a common concern she harboured was why? Littorio had, on more than a few occasions, questioned her on what exactly she wanted this knowledge for but Lavinia genuinely did not know. Currently she merely wanted it for its own sake.
For a few moments Littorio found her gaze locking onto the flying potato that was Akemi’s partner, lips pursed into a malicious grin with a knowing look in her eyes. However this expression passed in a matter of mere moments, being there one mili-second and gone the next which coincided with her focus returning to Akemi.
“Oh aren’t you a precious little cherub. I would be glad to receive your help.” The Italian searched through a pile of papers, pulling out one specific sheet that she handed to her new assistant.
“As boring as this will sound I need you to search through each of these sheets, confirm the section head’s signature and name matches the ones on that. Once done please place them into the outgoing box there and Lavinia will handle it.” She supportively pat Akemi on the head, smiling softly as she ruffled her hair. She was cute...so very cute….and such a delectable looking treat.
“Oh? Hmm….well I’m not really sure it is fair for me to form a judgement at this stage...I have only experienced vast amounts of paperwork.” There was an exasperated sign of boredom. Paper work and helping out was truly well and good but….Littorio was bored. She was restless. Her appetites unfulfilled.

"Sure." Anzu replied towards Lavinia. She always enjoyed a chance to discuss stuff like this with people, even if most of what they knew regarding the X-Antibody was relegated to folklore and actual examples. Explaining the exact nature of the Antibody should be easy, though.
Akemi, meanwhile, seemed a bit surprised at Littorio accepting her help so readily. "Oh, this is...stuff I've done before." She stated upon being told the task at hand by Littorio. "Should be relatively simple." The pat on the head was pretty good at motivating the girl. As was the ruffling of some already messy hair.
She wasn't an assistant, though. She was just a more experienced member offering aid to a newer one. Simple as that. While Akemi got right to work in separating each paper accordingly with the specific sheet she had been given. "Well, once we're done here, you could go and experience the city a little more. Form some judgement for yourself, see what it's like outside of here?"
There really was nothing stopping a council member from going out to enjoy the city itself. They were a resident just as much as the actual residents of the city were. Nonetheless, Akemi was curious as to how Littorio would respond to that. In the meantime, though, she simply approached sorting the papers out with a lot of precision.
Seriously, she was a bit of a workaholic who had done just about every menial task on the paperwork side of the Council. She could handle a few measly papers, right?

“Oh? That is convenient then.” There was nothing better than an assistant who knew what they were doing. With no need to explain things to one with experience Littorio got right back into working, double checking expense form after expense form. For a while the Italian remained silent, focusing on the task at hand but...then her assistant spoke up.
“Oh? I have already spent a fair amount of time touring the city. I was hoping to engage in something a little more...adventurous but if you know any entertaining parts of the city I’d be glad to join you..” Of course Littorio’s idea of entertaining was vastly different from most peoples. With her answer delivered she returned to work.
Scanning the claim forms, confirmed the correct name and signature was on the form Littorio would place them into the correct tray at which point Lavina came over, picked up the stack of papers and took them away to sort. Slowly but surely the pile of papers would begin to shrink, getting smaller and smaller thanks to the combined efforts of the people assembled.

To Littorio's own credit, it was quite convenient when the girl assisting knew exactly what it was she was doing. She had been working here for quite a bit, after all. At least when one takes stuff like time dilation between the two worlds into consideration.
If the lady had wanted entertainment, however, Akemi knew precisely which of the four districts surrounding Deephold one would venture towards for such a thing. The eastern and western districts, of course! "Have you gone to the western district yet? I hear the bathhouse is pretty popular there, plus there's shops, too!" The girl, unfortunately, had zero clue what the Italian's own definition of the phrase 'entertainment' entailed. So, she could only just advertise parts of her beloved city.
"I'd be willing to show you those districts and some of the fun stuff there if you want! I have to get back to my own stuff, though." Akemi added onto that as she concluded sorting those papers for Littorio with the nearly mechanical efficiency one would probably come to expect from the Amaya once they had come to know her as...well. As a co-worker.
The Amaya pulled away from her work, and sought the following. A pen. And a blank piece of paper. Once she found those, she'd write where her room in particular was. The floor and all of that. "You can find me here if you need me for anything. Even after we're done working here." By now, that pile of papers, daunting as it was before, had become almost nonexistent.
Anzu would have been helping Lavinia where she could, meanwhile. The LadyDevimon seemed rather pleasant, so it was nice to have a friend here who didn't inspire strange feelings induced via rivalry. Akemi swiftly moved to the exit, Anzu looking to Lavinia. "I guess it's goodbye for now. We'll talk more soon, okay?" She then looked to Littorio. Then her tattoo. Again.
Her eyes narrowed.
Then she flew off to Akemi's head. "It was nice meeting you, Ms. Littorio!" Akemi waved farewell before...she just exited the office! As swiftly as she came in a while ago, she was gone.
What would the two remaining here do? A significant amount of work had been lifted from their shoulders. They had a lot to consider, didn't they?

“Hmmm no. I don’t think I have. Traversing Deeplane is something I am...unused to yet.” In a normal city the Italian would have traversed it all by now but this city’s strange physics and general rules had made that a little challenging. Littorio was pretty interested in that bathhouse, if only because it gave her an opportunity to appreciate the art that was the human form. She had nothing but totally pure intentions!
Of course, as much as she wanted to simply explore the city for some entertainment her hands were tied by work. Luckily enough, with the help of Akemi the once daunting pile had swiftly shrunk in size. She signed off on the final sheet, handing it to Lavinia who stored it away inside the proper folder. Stretching her arms out the Italian leaned into the back of the chair, glad to be finished with the paperwork.
“Oh? Is this an invitation? Fufufufufu~ Be careful honey, people might get the wrong idea if I make personal calls at your room~ But yes, I would be delighted. I’m sure Lavinia would too. ” In a single dainty movement Littorio slipped the card off the table, neatly slotting it away inside one of her pockets.
“I would be delighted to make your acquaintance again.” The Lady Devilmon chimed in at that, taking the opportunity to express her thoughts on the matter. With a curt nod she smiled softly at the flying bean.
“I may even bring a vintage from Italy with me~” She teased Akemi ever so sweetly as she left the room. With her assistant gone, Littorio was left alone with Lavinia and the now finished paperwork. With nothing else to really do today Littorio turned to her partner and winked.
“Let’s go get some lunch~” Lunch was something the X-antibody Digimon had been considering for a few hours, especially as it was getting close to mid day. The Italian and her tamer would vacate the office, walking through the council buildings as they advanced into the city looking for lunch. Food was one of the best ways to celebrate a job well done.
