Requirements:
An investigative mind and a careful hand.
Plot Description:
It's been so long, and yet we're still dealing with the aftermath of the 'forest incident'. Between that darned spellcaster and that crazed dragon, the forest has never really been the same...
... But at this point, we've lost sight of the giant elephant in the room. The Forest Sovereign, Ebonwumon, was awoken to counter the damage inflicted by Megidramon, and in its wake, a spectacular forest has grown on the site of the battlefield. The Sovereign remains, resting there, continuing to let his energy flow through the land. And as beautiful a sight that it is - as grand as it is to see a deity of the Digital World help the forest along? Its a risk. The Lion of the Mountains and the Dragon of the Desert are both hidden, both well-hidden secrets in far corners of their own land. But, Ebonwumon remains out in the open. The Sovereign's presence is necessary to keep the balance in check, and we know that their form in stone statues helps keep the world rooted in place. So, what we need to know is this:Why is the Turtle still awake? Why hasn't it chosen to hide itself again? And what must be done to convince Ebonwumon to settle back into place?
Mission Description:
Though Ebonwumon's assistance helped to settle a large part of the forest from destruction, it came at the cost of waking the Sovereign from its slumber. Awakened, the Sovereign's influence is still strong over the forest - but its presence creates both a short and long term risk.
In the short term, the Sovereign is vulnerable to ne'erdowells, and in the long term, its protective presence over the land will last only a matter of cycles, rather than a matter of centuries.
But, for some reason, the Turtle has yet to return to its slumber. So, what would it take to return the Sovereign to its rest?
Objective Summary:
- Ensure the forest's continued protection by leading Ebonwumon back into hiding.
