After everything was all said and done, the group of four split off into separate teams: the first team consisting of Holly, and Toki accompanied by Doku, and the other having himself, Kenny, and Skadi accompanied by Seraphimon, who has devolved into Angemon. Kitt waved along with Skadi. “Good luck you two. Try not to overexert yourselves.”
On their way to Rosewood, Kitt didn’t mind Skadi being close to him, trying to comfort him. Usually he would want to have a little bit of personal space, not wanting to be coddled. But right now, with everything going on, he was glad she was there to help calm his nerves. For some reason, she projected the same, gentle aura that Eris and Ophelia had. He found it comforting.
Reaching the town, Angemon would brief one of the guards, a Leomon, on why they were here. When he turned to them, Kitt opted to silence, only showing his KIZNA badge to the guard as proof he was with them. He glanced at Kenny when he said they were appointed to deal with an outbreak of rancid mushrooms. A white lie to explain why they needed to hold the exhibition match, instead of just telling the truth. Had either of them did, the town would go into a panic, probably something that Wisemon would want.
The Leomon would believe him, calling a Togemon to help him prepare for the event and to spread the word to the townsfolk. Once the two guards were gone, Kitt gently poked Kenny to get his attention.
“Nice job with the ruse, Sir Kenny,” he whispered. “I didn’t think he would buy it at first. Leomon’s tend to have a stoic, sharp gaze that would make those tell the truth. That’s actually impressive for a human like you.”
Now welcomed into Rosewood, they would have a bit of time before everything was ready. Seeing as though they had a bit of time before the fight, Kitt decided to take this time to prepare. “Alright, since this is still one-hundred percent happening, I should probably show you guys how far I can evolve. I can’t go to Mega, nor Ultimate, just Champion unfortunately.”
Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and focused, tapping into digicore, surrounding him in a teal light. The Spadamon’s form gave away to the form of a Leomon, much like the guard they just met. But with Kitt, his fur and mane retained the white color of his previous form. He wore light samurai around his chest, shoulder, wrist, and thighs with a short sleeve shirt underneath. His Blue Queen, which was previously a doubled-bladed sword, changed into a mechanical katana sheathed in a scabbard.
Once he had changed, he turned back to Kenny and Skadi, a slight blush forming across his face. “It’s...not very often that I take this form, since it’s something that my friend, Eris calls ‘appealing.’” He explained. “In fact, this is only my fourth time evolving to this form outside of training purposes.”
There was another reason to. That reason being his emotions in this form would wildly fluctuate, anger especially. This was something he had to keep an eye on every time he evolved to this form. But so far, there was nothing to worry about.

”Just wait until I figure out clones at a higher level like this. I can do four now but imagine what mega or super mega might be capable of? Especially if I can make the combat variant for the healer version of this form.”
Holly snickered a little bit and stretched; the clones on the other hand ended up chattering with one another for a few moments. It had been quite some time since holly had used them and they hadn’t seen one another in a bit. So there were a few hugs and pats on the back, holly giving one of them a supportive pat on the head before sticking out her tongue at the group. They weren’t following commands immediately and that was fine. They had some time.
There was shared laughter at the idea of them being strong enough to do stuff in mega form before they’d all split up to look for this paper that their main one directed them to look for. Holly continued her sensing and stretching; looking for various locales or at least hints for the same power that paper had.
”Hmm. Trash bins, paper pamphlets for times, posted warnings and what not on billboards… Oh! Newspapers too. Hmm Hmm... Mailbox…”
One by one the clones were going around, pulling open containers or inspecting such locations. If the mark was on the same paper like material as the other they’d find it easily given the difference. Though one of them ended up getting their head stuck in a trash can which warranted a small sweat-bead from the primary as it took her a moment to give them a hand in getting it off.
”....wouldn’t it of just been easier to take the bag out?”
”Yeah but that seemed easier…”
”I swear three you’re gonna be the end of me…”
”Hey don’t forget who found the belphemon in the mountain now…”
The meicrackmon cloned huffed a little bit before heading off to check the more extreme places. The less checked and the more likely for maintenance to go into. There would be other small locations that they would check. 1 and 2 all seemed to be checking more usual traffic areas while 4 seemed to be thinking about something.
”Four?”
”...I think I’m going to check the roof. I know it sounds weird but while the others are checkin inside Imma check outside.”
Holly gave a shrug and turned her head to Doku; there was a small frown and she’d consider something for a moment.
”...He was methodical. So… methodical placement. Somewhere that people would go but wouldn’t be immediately obvious.. Are there any maintenance closets or an attached office around here?”
If there was she could just go check it her darned self while her clones covered the other awkward ground...

Toki was slightly taken aback by the supportive words given to him by Doku and Holly. He wasn't expecting such comfort, even if Doku's was a little more matter of fact and serious. His eyes opened slightly as he gave a gentle smile to the two of them. He appreciated their words more than they could know "Thank you. Sometimes I...forget I don't have to carry the burdens on my own. I just worry about everyone else getting hurt if they get involved."
He made his way to the center part of the station and started to increase the radius of his energy. He kept himself calm and composed all while containing the energy in a way that it could safely cover the area and scan for the signals they needed to discover. This took quite a bit of concentration, but it looked like he was able to maintain it pretty well.
He looked around at the various clones of Holly running around and searching. All of them seemed autonomous and their own person...it was fascinating watching them communicate and discuss plans with each other "I'm very curious how this ability of yours works, Holly. The possibilities and uses for it are...honestly endless. All of you seem to have some manner of self-awareness and control. The sheer capability of Digimon data never fails to amaze me." He said as he floated in place, making sure to feel for any strange data that might enter the radius of his energy. "In any case, all of you will make this search much easier. Let's take care of this and keep Rosewood and its citizens safe." He said, confidence renewed. Today he and the others would do everything in their power for this place. Whatever came after them, they would be ready for it.

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Apr 3, 2020 4:02:46 GMT
It wasn't usually like Kenny to tell a lie... in any other circumstance. From a young age, he was always taught by his own parents that liars were nothing more than scum of the Earth, and there was nothing worse than a liar, at least according to them. But with a potential crisis threatening to rear it's ugly head, and the potential mass panic that would ensure had the word got out, for now he had to set it aside, for the good of the residents there.
And thankfully, it seemed to have worked. The sudden chummy shift in Leomon's behaviour made him and Skadi internally breath a sigh of relief. He brought it, and now all they had to do was to keep the rest of the town occupied, while Toki and Holly took care of the marks out in the wild. Both he and Skadi nodded in acknowledgement to the Leomon, Kenny just uttering a simple "Understood." towards him, before the guards departed.
His focus still locked on the departing guards, what should've felt like a simple harmless poke courtesy of Kitt went through him like a thousand volts coursing through his body in a record amount of time, as he let out a sudden yelp. Still, he turned and looked at him quickly, only to see Kitt was praising him.
The young man, now having recovered from the initial shock, just smiled back as turned to him, "Thanks, man." He whispered back, "To be honest, I wasn't exactly expecting him to buy it, either. At least we stopped any semblance of Hell breaking loose, at least for now." He chuckled lightly, as the group made their way into Rosewood.
The two did make sure that they kept their eyes out on any marks possibly lying about, but as they walked into the city, waiting for the guards to give them the OK to start the battle, that didn't stop them from listening to Kitt for a moment as he explained himself. As a bright light enveloped the Spadamon, Skadi could only watch in awe, only stepping back to give him space, while Kenny raised an arm over his eyes and squinted, at least until the light died down.
What they saw was... an actually quite impressive looking Leomon himself. Despite the blush and explanation he gave, Kenny gave an impressed whistle as he looked upon the towering were-lion, while Skadi took a moment to take it all in, before stating, "No wonder Eris thinks that! Look at you, Kitt," She gave the Leomon's leg a harmless slug with a smile, "You're actually quite the hunk in this form!"
Kenny gave a little nod in agreement with Skadi, before he looked up to Kitt himself, "Honestly, I can't wait to see how you in this exhibition match. Maybe we could use this opportunity to see what you can do, combat-wise, and we can work on it from there." He suggested to him. He had quite the tendency to pick up on new opportunities when they arose, and hey, they were not only gonna distract the village, but they could also see what Kitt was capable of in the process.
Or as Kenny called it, a 'win-win.'

With the three's direct approach, Kenny, Skadi, and Kitt wouldn't have too much time to look out for marks - at best, they could get a passing glance on the guard or the few Digimon that passed on by. But it didn't take long for the town to notice something was up.
The guards were moving? Seating was being set up near the back of the village? "What is this, some sort of town meeting?" The annoyed words of a Veemon came with a tired yawn, only a glance shared with the white furred Leomon as he passed by to see just what the cactus was up to.
That said, the rookie wasn't wrong: it was much easier just to get everyone lined up at once to begin with. And, from living out in the wilderness, to being a refugee point for that forest incident, and even just being in a more 'wild' part of the Digital World, Kenny and the rest would find Rosewood surprisingly organized. It didn't take long for the fifty-odd civilians to gather - and as the Leomon broke the initial news of the closure, it was met with a mix of acceptance, disappointment, and annoyance.
"Oh, sure, the one good day to get to Terminus..."
"Now, now, it can't be helped, you know?"
"Hmph..."
If anything, even not considering the idea that one of the Digimon here was marked, the crowd might have been somewhat difficult to entertain. At this point, the Leomon would step back around, catching back up with Kitt and Skadi.
"Well, its about what we expected. You guys need a minute to warm up or somethin - oh?"
His eyes caught that other Leomon - though Kitt seemed to be much more a 'swordsman' than a bruiser! "Guess you're already on it! Though I'd lighten up your shoulders a bit - and it'd help if your sparring partner here wasn't half-trying to flirt with you."
He picked up a lot, just in those few seconds - and with that, he'd point a thumb over his shoulder, as the Togemon waved the three over. "Give 'em a good one - otherwise, I could see the crowd gettin' a bit rowdy!" "So long as you understand, I don't have any complaints. Though it is somethin' easy to forget."
It didn't take long for Toki to get into position, nor for Holly to start to root out the more obvious areas. The bulletin board, the mailbox, trash cans - the cat already had a good idea of where to look, and the clones were rather efficient at figuring out just where to look as well - even if their antics were causing the plant type to bring a palm up to her face. So resourceful, and yet so openly impulsive. Doku would look on as one would go to check the roof: "Go ahead, but now that I'm thinking about it - it would probably have to be somewhere that would likely be near where Digimon would have likely hidden... hm..."
As Toki's aura started to fill the room, there wouldn't be much of a reaction to start - but as the 'fake sovereign's signal started to fill the room in general, the search would finally start showing results. There would be a 'crack', and the putrid, dark aura of those pages would start to flare up around the room.
... And there was a lot. Several were hidden on the back of the chairs of the station, stuffed into mesh netting in the middle of magazines. There was one on the bulletin board, and even without the aura, Holly would manage to find one in each trash can that she searched. A total of 15 hits, in such an enclosed space?
"Hmph... I guess he figured it was low risk to set up a trap here." And now that the spells were active, Doku remained particularly cautious. "As I've said, they spring the moment the signal drops - but I don't know if they have a secondary activation condition. The one we found before was just blowing in the wind - so be careful here."

”Hey it’s better for people to be there than trying to force helping you yanno?”
Holly stuck otu her tongue and shifted slightly. The strangeness of the signal that was coming from toki just… Well. It was unlike the sovereigns but it was also like the sovereigns? It was weird. She’d pause after a moment and the meicrackmon snickered at the mention of her ability.
”Oh they’re completely self aware and are as intelligent if not more intelligent than I am. It’s kinda annoying when I do homework cause they pop up to give me answers sometimes.”
”Roof’s clear. I didn’t see anything.”
”That was fast…”
Holly looked a bit surprised and shrugged, three would just rejoin the others in searching given that the area they wanted to look into wasn’t even really… a problem. Holly gritted her teeth as doku explained a little more. How it would have been more likely to be near where digimon were hidden. So yes… all these extra little places.
When those putrid dark aura’s of the pages cropped up; holly and every single clone had to steady themselves and a couple of the clones put hands to their stomachs. They winced and shifted as it was just practically overwhelming in such a small space.
”One at a time then? Lets get them in a stack or something…”
Holly huffed a bit and the clones would slowly work together to pull the various pages from their various homes. Each one of them taking great care not to fuff up. Though three would stumble a little bit as she wasn’t watching her footing near the same trashcan she had gotten her head stuck in. Was this one a bit of a clutz? Three's would get a dirty look from the rest of the clones and rub her neck apologetically before getting back to it!
”...Well. If they had a secondary activation requirement wouldn’t that of triggered when it was found?”
"The secondary activation requirement is likely time based; being within range of the signal for long enough would wear on anything. I can't imagine them lasting for too long with this signal running through them. That and there can only be so long that an enchantment can stay around right?"
Clutz... Intelligent and a good guesser? Three was full of surprises...

"Fully intelligent with their own will and personality...all able to manifest at will and communicate. You know, as a spirit user, I know exactly how it feels to always have other voices speak at any given moment." He said with a little chuckle. He remained diligent as he looked over the room. For a while it didn't seem like there was anything to worry about in here. Then, the spike of awful dark energy struck and began to radiate over the entire room. Toki grit his teeth and kept his energy in control while the sphere within the room remained at its full size. "How could so much of this go unnoticed for so long? We should be thankful that no one accidentally stumbled upon any of it." He said.
Now was the matter of properly disposing of the pages before they activated. As Holly began to organize the pages in a stack, Toki tried to think of a proper solution to dispose of them before they activated. "If we have to destroy them quickly in one go, then maybe put the stack down and let my concentrate my aura around the stack of papers. While they're still in the sphere, I quickly unleash Souryuha and burn them all in an instant. Though...if that simply activates them then we would be in...a massive amount of trouble." He said, unsure of how to proceed with the plan. Maybe his plan was sound, but it came with risks. There probably wasn't anything they could do that didn't come with some kind of risk or another.
He only hoped the others were having an easier time of it than they were. If this many pages were here, how many could there have been in other parts of the area? The thought of this many or even more being elsewhere made his stomach turn. This had to be dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Still, until a more solid plan was decided on, he kept his field steady. Maybe if they were lucky, they would just burn out before anything bad happened, though that was just wishful thinking.

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Apr 5, 2020 10:18:22 GMT
Of course it was only natural that some of the residents would be frustrated by the initial unforeseen circumstances, but other than that little hiccup, it seemed that things were looking good so far. Both Kenny and Skadi would at least move out of the way quite a bit as to not accidentally block the way of anyone else trying to get to the initial gathering.
"Tough crowd..." Kenny simply muttered under his breath as he and Skadi proceeded to gouge some of the reactions from the gathered residents, a noticeable frown starting to show on his face. They hadn't even stepped into the ring yet, and already moods seemed to be quite sour. It was clear they had to knock this out of the park, and from the look of things, it looked to be much more easier said than done.
Their attention quickly snapped back to the other regular-coloured Leomon, and the choice of words coming from him as he addressed Kitt... Skadi's body froze up in shock for what felt like the longest few seconds of her life, before trying to respond to him.
Key word: try.
"I- uh... I'm not- I was just..." Skadi was just simply lost for words at this point, and by this point, had just given up before she could even toss out a strong argument as her arms slumped back between her sides as she fell silent. All Kenny tried to do was try to stifle a chuckle at the antics of his embarrassed partner.
Regardless, it looked like everything was ready. The two would give a nod of acknowledgement towards the Leomon guard, before walking over to where Togemon, the arena, and the crowd, were waiting for them, Skadi pumping her fists excitedly, reading herself to show her stuff, while Kenny glanced around for any wayward marks, just in case. His posture took up more of a casual stance to try and ease suspicion from any residents.
Once they had reached the makeshift arena in question, the two would start waving at the audience as they started to take up their spots; Kenny stood just outside of the main arena, with Skadi standing right in front of him, facing against Kitt with a confident grin on her face, complimenting her stalwart stance, before turning to the audience, shouting her words out for the rest to hear. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, mons of all ages, sizes and levels, are you ready to see what we members of KIZNA are really made of?"
A brief pause to allow the crowd to respond, hopefully positively, before she continued on with her pretty grandiose speech, "Well, prepare to be absolutely amazed, as we show you a show like no other! No holding back! We are gonna give it our all, up until the bitter end! Sparks are gonna fly, as me and Kitt here will be facing each other in one of the most exhilarating matches you're ever gonna see in your young lives!" With her words echoing throughout, she turned to her tamer with a grin, "Kenny, hit me!"
"On it, girl!" He cried back, holding up his D-Nexus as it proceeded to glow a bright white. At the same time, a similar bright light glowed all over her body, as she grew on par to match Kitt's height. Another brief flash of light, and Skadi stood big and tall, in her Canandemon form, the same confident grin still on her face.
With a simple scrape on the ground with her hoof, Skadi tossed her head up into the sky, and let out a mighty bleat, one that would resonate all throughout the arena. Not only would this make Skadi much more stronger, and faster to boot, but at the same time, it was her way of working up the crowd, to give them a little taste of what was to come.
On the last note of her bleat, she turned her head back in Kitt's direction with that same confident grin. Yet, she didn't move, at least not yet. Her hoof still scraped upon the ground. What was she planning, she wasn't going to tell. She had something in mind, something to teach Kitt a thing or two.
All the while, Kenny just smiled as he put his hands into his pockets, "Good luck, you's two. Make KIZNA proud."
Skadi starts off with Battlecry to work up the crowd, and to boost herself up. These boosts won't go into effect until the next post. But otherwise, she doesn't budge. At least for now.
Battlecry: Skadi bleats loudly and proudly, but this time around, instead of causing damage, her bleats are very invigorating, giving herself and up to 2 allies within earshot 30% more attack and 10% more speed for the next 3 posts. Skadi can select which 2 allies will get the boost if there is more than 3. (3 post cooldown)
Passives: Tough Hooves: Skadi can run across craggy terrain, icy terrain or hot terrain without taking any damage. She can also walk/run on ice without slipping, and climb crags with ease. This also nullifies the effects of any attacks that involve scattering spikes or other damaging terrain onto the ground (damage, poison, ect). However, this does not stop other effects from occurring from those attacks (those being explosions, pitfall traps, net traps, and the like) Woolly Coat: Her wool coat gives her sheer bulk, and warmth rolled up into one package, which allows her to reduce all physical attacks and Ice attacks by 30%. However, this also increases all damage from Fire attacks by 20%.
Buffs/Nerfs: Battlecry (+30% ATK, +10% SPD): 0/3
Cooldowns: N/A

Kitt's face turned even more red at Skadi's...well...description of his appearance. But instead of scampering away in embarrassment like he normally would, he merely scratched the back of his head. From her reaction, he knew that it was only a compliment instead of her flirting with him. It's no different for when he calls Eris beautiful anyway since girls love it when boys call them that; it took him a long time, plus a few throws from the Black Guilmon-X to understand that.
Seeing the arena prepped with a sizable audience, the White Leomon followed his two partners into the arena. He didn't waved at the audience like the two, merely glancing at them since he didn't want to look at them for too long. If he did, he would get even more nervous. So it was best to maintain his somewhat stoic impression. Most Leomons tend to have that proud, bold look anyway.
After Skadi's speech, Kenny used his digivice to evolve her. Kitt closed one eye until the light died down. What he saw was a Canandemon that almost reached his height, with big horns on her head to boot. He never saw a Digimon of her kind before, so her form amazed Kitt to say the least.
Hearing her let out a battle cry, he extended his Blue Queen out, using his thumb to slightly unsheathe by an inch, making "sshhh" sound. What little of the mechanical katana was showing was enough to reflect a bit of sunlight from the sun. His eyes narrowed in Skadi's direction with a serious glance. She wasn't taking it easy on him by not making the first move, was she? He hoped not. Regardless, if she wouldn't make the first move, then he will.
"Alright, let's give these mons a show!" Kitt declared confidently. Unsheathing his sword, he slashed the Blue Queen upwards, releasing a strong cutting wind in Skadi's direction.
Combat Log:
Kitt makes makes the first move by attacking with Sudden Gale.
Sudden Gale - Kitt releases a single slash of wind from his katana that throws almost any Digimon off their feet. With Exceed, the slash of wind is imbue with blue flames, increasing the damage by 20%. Cooldown: None if used regularly. One with Exceed. Consumes one fuel phial.
Passives: Advanced Feline Senses - Kitt retains his superior senses of vision and hearing as a Spadamon, making him able to function in combat if either senses were compromised.

'Tough crowd' seemed about right, considering, but maybe that just spoke more to Rosewood as a whole. Yes, it was a beautiful nook of a town, out in the most picturesque place in the Digital World - but the residents here had seen a lot in their time. The Wisemon's attack aside, Rosewood was far away from the more funded cities of Terminus and Whitewater, and it had far less of a 'military backbone' than the City of Luminas.
Every Digimon in the crowd had to pitch in, in one way or another, to keep this place running, and they were proud of it. If anything, they deserved this show, and then some! That said, the response to Kenny's hype speech was... well, it wasn't met with negativity, but the few golf claps, polite smiles from a few elderly Digimon, and bored looks from the more gristled patrons spoke far more than words could put it.
They needed to see proof that this four-legged ram and this lion could entertain them! At the very least, Skadi's bravado and Kitt's first strike caught their attention - but for this to work, it couldn't just be a mud-slinging spar.
It had to be visually entertaining, it had to inspire, and it had to get them rooting one way or another. Fight or not, the both of them had their work cut out for them! One at a time? All at once?
It was risky, no matter how Doku looked at it - though the Aruraumon had some insight. "We found them in old magazines, right? To a certain extent, moving them shouldn't be enough to trigger the spell on its own - otherwise, why would the sorcerer rig something that could accidentally be picked up? If his trap triggered early, then his entire cover would have been blown."
Still, it wasn't a non-zero chance, and Doku looked on with careful eyes. As expected, the act of moving the pages, in and of itself, didn't qualify as a 'foul' - and perhaps collecting them would have been enough to destroy them all in one place, and avoid any unnecessary risk.
That was, until 'Three' tripped - and her claws would briefly intersect over the ink on the page. At once, those same pages she was holding flared up, an intense aura building up from each one, and instinctively, Doku readied his vines to counter. If any sought out the Sovereign's signal, he would have knocked them down while they were en-route to Toki - but that wasn't what the spell did at all.
Rather, the pages struck at the closest data signal possible, fluttering out of the clone's hands like the bewitched pieces of parchment they were, before moving to strike and grip around the clone's arms and side! "Tch!" Left alone, this could turn sour very quickly!

Holly frowned a little bit and rubbed at her chin thoughtfully; old magizines, in the trash and other various places. What sort of interaction did they need to be active? Or maybe this was just a last ditch effort for something…
”Unless they have to wait for a certain timeframe to pass before they can active then? Not sure tch…”
Holly mumbled a little bit and shook her head, her attention fixing on toki as he spoke. They had a few options… And well what if they just burned them all in one place? She had fire did she not? Or at least a sort of fire to deal with? The meicrackmon stiffened however when three yelped in surprise!
Four pages had stuck to them, one on each of her arms and two about her side. She’d squirm and nervously fidget looking unsure what to do with this development. The paper felt like it was gripping at her and that foul signal had flared up again. Making the lot of meicrackmon feeling a touch queasy.
”Uh… guys I don’t feel right…”
Three would grumble a bit and put her hands at the parchment, trying to tug them off while holly looked on with a mix of confusion and frustration. Making the clone poof at this junction carried risks. If they did poof it could reasonably fly to one of the others. But left alone all it was in control of was a passive clone. Unable to make attacks of it’s own and would only share the information… Holly’s face lost it’s color and she’d bite back a curse.
”I can make her poof, but the pages might fly towards one of us or another clone; we don’t know what’ll happen if the process is interrupted. If it finishes I also don’t know what’ll happen since these clones are completely passive. THey can’t make attacks and just share information with me… I don’t think that’s the information of the mark if it was transcribed but I don’t… Tch..”
Holly shifted a bit and glanced at the others. The other clones stopped handling their respective pages and hopped away from them. Gritting their teeth. Having multiple clones affected by this would be irritating if not outright frustrating.
”Dismiss them, run their course or attack them?”
Holly laid the options out and her own fist was crackling with electricity. Her eyes locked onto threes and the clone glanced at the others. Squirming as she could feel those pages do their work.
”I don’t like this. But uh… yeah what she… Said.”

Without missing a beat at what happened, Toki listened to Holly's words "You don't need to dismiss them at all...I'll destroy all of the pages!" He shouted. A bright light shined around his body as his data surged forward. This required speed and precision that were near unmatched in order to counter. All of the pages scattered and flew about as Toki digivolved into a form not yet seen by his allies. The tall robe-clad rabbit Digimon that appeared had aspects of Toki's human appearance, right down to the scars. The orbs that surrounded ZenCherubimon shrunk down and orbit above his head like a crown of crystals. A crystalline necklace around his neck shined in the light. His eyes were open and focused as he grabbed the hilt of his blade, channeling the same energy signature into his blade. While on the outside he seemed impossibly calm and composed, on the inside he was screaming for this to please work!
"Eight Phase...!" Copies of Kenshimon appeared at his sides and all dashed forward at once, slashing through several pages at once with each dash. Each one drew and slashed their blades in a flash in a display of speed that was quite breathtaking. Then, the real Kenshimon slashed past Three, blade gliding through the page, but doing nothing to harm the clone. All of the clones started vanish in a flurry of flower petals as he started to sheath his blade "...Transient Step..."
All at once, should the attack work, all of the pages started to burst into shreds, with the Sovereign's signal threatening to burn the scraps away should they be harmful. The clone, if this was successful, would find that the attack did nothing to her. The silence was absolutely deafening as Kenshimon stood up, hand still on the hilt of his sword. He turned around and gripped it tight, eyes looking back and forth for anything else that might happen. His heart raced as he anticipated the results of his actions. It was pure instinct, but it was the only thing he could think of to keep the rest of the party safe. The energy that this Digimon was astounding. Even its very existence radiated a powerful, yet calm, aura.
-----
Toki digivolved to Kenshimon and attacks the pages with Eight Phase Transient Step!

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Apr 8, 2020 5:51:50 GMT
From the look of things, 'tough crowd' was pretty much the understatement of the century. The initial reaction made Kenny slump his arms a little in disappointment. It seemed a hyped up speech wasn't exactly enough to win the crowd over, at least not yet. Skadi's invigorating cry, and Kitt's impressive looking sword unsheathing, did seem to at least grab their attention for, if not completely get them hooked on, the battle.
Speaking of, after her invigorating bleat had died down, her gaze fully locked itself onto Kitt - or more specifically, his trusty katana. Her front hoof still scraped the ground, thinking of her first move. Her eyes widened as, with a clean slash of his sword up into the sky, a sharp gust of wind came barrelling towards Skadi. Her cue! It was time for her to show him - and the crowd - a few things she took from Valt's book.
Right on time, and with the true effects of the battlecry kicking in, Skadi quickly turned her body, and leapt out of the way of the wind blade by a hair. She made that battlecry for a very good reason; not only to power herself up, but to gauge the opponent's techniques by letting them have the first move. With one clean landing, she would give a simple grin at Kitt, "Not bad. But how about we take it up a notch?"
With one clean stomp on the floor, an earthquake would start to resonate all throughout the inside of the arena. For the spectators and anyone outside of the makeshift stadium, it would be something barely noticeable, if noticeable at all. Those in the very front would, at worst, feel a light vibrating sensation coming from the ground and/or their seats that would eventually die down at the end of the attack. Not enough to toss them out of their seats, but enough for them to possibly take notice. Even Kenny would wobble a little bit, but not enough to throw him off completely.
For Kitt, however? No such luck. Inside the arena, a massive earthquake would rumble underneath his feet, ready to force him down onto the ground. And to make matters worse, cracks were starting to form underneath, and no sooner would emerge a massive spire, threatening to pierce his body had he failed to escape in time, which was no easy feat considering the circumstances he was faced with. And thanks to the effects of her battlecry, had it hit... well, Kitt wouldn't know what hit him.
So the spectators wanted a show, huh? Well, Skadi and Kitt were going to give them a show they were never going to forget.
...hopefully Skadi, thanks to the boost from Battlecry, narrowly dodges Sudden Gale, and responds by summoning a Spiral Tremour within the arena, creating a powerful earthquake inside, threatening to hit Kitt with a massive super-spire if he cannot dodge in time.
Spiral Tremor: A much more stronger version of Spiral Pillar, Skadi stomps the ground several times to cause a powerful tremor to summon up to 3 spires to attack the enemy (if there is one enemy, then this becomes one huge spire instead), reaching up to 10 meters per spire, or 15 meters for the super spire. This attack can pierce Champion-level defence buffs and passives, and break shields for maximum possible damage. If this attack hits a Ultimate-level instead, then this attack does 50% of the maximum damage to them if they have any passives or buffs active that would otherwise decrease it, or if a shield is active (but does not break it). Ally Digimon may be affected by the earthquake as well (but cannot be damaged by it). However, the spires will never hit an ally. If there are more than one enemy in the radius, Skadi can select who gets hit by the spires, but all of them can be affected by the earthquake regardless, leaving them open to attack from allies. (3 post cooldown)

Honestly, Kitt expected that much from the crowd. To have a sudden exhibition match with absolutely no advertisement ahead of time, only taking a couple of minutes to set up, the reaction to Skadi's speech was expected, but he appreciated her trying to get the crowd all pump up. Had he said anything, it wouldn't had been as much exciting as she did it anyway. With the battle starting and him making the first move, Kitt watched as the Canandemon leaps to the side, avoiding the sharp gust of wind he released. The reason why he did that instead of going for close quarters was to see how agile she was. With someone of her size and form, it was best for him to assume that she was a powehouse, with attack and defense being her specialty at the cost of speed. But seeing how she proved him wrong, Kitt couldn't help but return a small smile back at her in response. Now it was Skadi's turn. With a strong stomp to the floor, a huge tremor shook the entire arena, making the White Leomon wobble and fall on one knee. His eyes widen when he noticed massive cracks forming around the entire stage. Something was coming from up under him, and if he didn't move, he'll be caught up right in it! Gaining his footing, he jumped back a few dozen feet into the area. A massive spire then rapidly pierced its way above the surface, only stopping a few inches to where Kitt was at. That was a close call. Had he not moved out of the way a second sooner, he would have been sent sky high. Now seeing that his friend was going all out from the get-go, it was time for White Leomon to do the same. As he descended into the arena, he revved up his Blue Queen by twisting the hilt and drew it, unleashing several slashes wrapped in visual distortions that tracked Skadi at such breakneck speeds that to Kenny and any other Digimon that was below the Champion level, it appeared he only unsheath and resheath Blue Queen. The slashes would erupt into small explosions as a result. A spectacle for the audience to be sure, yes. Regardless if one of his slashes hit the mark, Kitt landed gracefully on the ground and back into his stance, awaiting Skadi's next move. Combat Log:
Kitt jumps high into the air, narrowly avoiding Skadi’s Spiral Tremor.Kitt revves up Blue Queen, activating Exceed.[RAM Upgrade] Exceed - By twisting the grip as if revving a motorcycle engine , Kitt can cause it to spray a flammable liquid over the blade, increasing the range and inflicting damage of its attack. It can up to five fuel phials in total, so this amp-up state is limited. Depending on the ability, each attack consumes one fuel phial at a time.If all five fuel phials are expended, the engine blade will overheat, and he'll have to wait awhile until he can use this ability again. Cooldown: three posts. With a draw from his sword, Kitt attacks Skadi with an Exceed-powered Tranquil Slice. Tranquil Slice - Slides back, unsheathes his sword with blinding speed, and performs multiple unperceivable slashes from a still stance to cut through far away opponents before sheathing his blade. If Exceed is activated, each slash is imbue with blue flames, dealing fiery damage in addition before bursting into small explosions. Cooldown: 3. Cooldown increases to 4 with Exceed. Consumes 2 fuel phials.
Passive:
Advanced Feline Senses - Kitt retains his superior senses of vision and hearing as a Spadamon, making him able to function in combat if either senses were compromised.
Two fuel phials expended; three fuel phials remain.

No hesitation - honestly, that was probably the best way to go about this!
Doku barely had time to even acknowledge what was going on before Toki did it, the plant himself holding up his hands to cover his eyes from the sudden burst of wind. Toki's several copies proved effective at slashing the pages that the unaffected clones had already collected, rending them apart into scrap data - and as the real Kenshimon slashed through the pages affixed to 'Three', all of the pages that Holly managed to collect were effectively reduced to trash data.
"Heads up!"
But, that quickly presented another problem - without the Sovereign's signal steadily flowing through the room, the remaining pages would have a chance to activate via their primary condition! There were still three that weren't in the clones hands - one on the administrative desk, and two on the back of the chairs nearest the railway. And, without a 'Sovereign' present to hunt, that made every figure in the room a potential target for the pages. One darted for Doku, another for the main Holly, and the third for Toki - though, honestly, with the group on high alert like this, it would be unlikely that they would even reach their target.
... Which was where the second problem came in. Yes, Toki managed to cut the paper away from 'Three' - but that didn't change the fact that there was now a black mark embedded right on her side. And, perhaps to Holly's horror, it didn't take much for the clone's fur to turn black, a crack of energy radiating heavily from her body. The clone knew that she wouldn't last long after 'activating' - but that also meant that she had little to risk, and could do something risky like charge a swordsman at close range.
And so she'd attempt to do just that: dash right up to the Kennshimon, and pull him into a full nelson! She was a level down - perhaps more-so - but with his attention on the oncoming page, maybe he'd be caught off-guard! As for the spar?
Well, there was no loss for theatrics, here: the ram was able to shake the earth, and the Leomon, at least for the moment, was able to keep on his feet and press forward. It was enough to get a gasp or two out of the audience, and at least for the moment, their eyes were on it.
A few were hooked on the show - and others were analyzing, as if evaluating how this fight was going to play out. A couple even started to take personal bets on who was going to win, or who was going to get the first clean hit. But, it was still too early for anyone to really make a judgement on the fight.
The potential was there. It was just a matter of what they could make out of it!
Quasi|Advanced Combat Variant - 1/3Holly can create three clones of herself that can mimic her movements almost perfectly. They can move around and physically interact with things. They are capable of using any ability that she is except for other Quasi and once per thread abilities. Save for the fact that they are at 1/3 the strength that Holly's attacks would be. They only last for two posts and if they use an attack they vanish on the post that they would of used it on. At the end of those two posts these Quasi vanish. Three post cool down. The Advanced Variant cannot be used during other Quasi Variants active periods or cool down periods.
