So Hackmon has no combat application whatsoever? Great... Just great Katsura thought, as she heard Hackmon laughing at his joke. Well at least they're on the same side so that's an improvement.
For Nyao the day just got ten times better, trash talk has very little impact when you just dodged a missile while making it look like you were indestructible.
Nyao didn't respond to the chess pieces, in the clouds she raised her large hand and slashed the cloud. This was a wide wave of bat-shaped dark energy just like before, only due to the distance it could spread even more than before.
"We both said some hurtful things that you are going to regret. But it's okay, I can fly and you can't. I can do this all day if we have to." Once again, Nyao's smug smirk betrayed her supposed hurt feelings. Aside from thinking a homing missile is cheating nothing so far has removed that smirk from her face. One couldn't be blamed for thinking Nyao didn't take fighting seriously.
"Sigh, I'm so banned from this studio." Katsura took off her backstage ticket from her neck and tossed it disappointmented about having yet another place she can never go to.

Hackmon said towards Katsura. "You do know Alexis could get you back inside no mattering what damage happened? Have you given up on her? Also who is going to blame a small girl for this..." He said with a blank expression.
The data they gather that was given to them by Alexandra could it had been wrong? Alexis and Nyao are met to be hateful towards one another, so comments like this should hit the mark better than any attack. "We don't regret anything fake angel, Oh, we get it, you wish to be like that human." They burst out laughing, if that didn't annoy Nyao then only their attacks could, they would wait giving Chess is about being patient. "Take all the time you like, in the end you're the one in the rush, we didn't lose anyone to worry, but you guys on the other hand, each and every second you play around that girl could be getting brainwashed again, but maybe your okay with that?"
This was all being said as Nyao did her bat slash, coming towards them, but one of the chessmon holding his staff stood tall. "Barrier Defense!" He hits his staff towards the ground as a blue light barrier surrounded them both him, and his partner, taking on the full force of her attack, disappearing after doing so, if they couldn't attack Nyao, then they will use other methods.
If their comments wouldn't work on Nyao then Katsura is their target. "Isn't that right Katsura? You did the same thing to Alexis once upon a time, if you like, we can allow you to meet him giving you both share one hobby, he'll help you out in wealth, and everything one needs so what do you say?" The chess digimon would talk in sync again, but just in case no trick could be played with Katsura agreeing but lies about it, with them smiling evilly. "Oh, this deal only stands if you destroy that bird brain." Hackmon did look a little worried, giving he doesn't know much about them, only the fact their power was dark so could she? Let's see, meanwhile Alexis was just annoyed unable to do anything.

It wasn't true that Nyao wasn't affected by the taunts, but as of now Nyao was trying to hurt and perhaps kill those annoying chess pieces. Besides, what fun is a fight without a good dose of trash talk? It's a sport as old as combat itself. Being insulted was just an excuse for Nyao to be violent in public, oh and save Alexis that's important too probably. For Katsura this had been annoying, but what Hackmon lacked in fighting prowess he made up for in talking sense in Katsura.
"Oh... Right sorry. No I'm not given up on Alexis." Katsura took a deep breath and forced herself to focus.
"Thank you, Hackmon." Katsura nodded to Hackmon in gratitude.
For once Katsura's ability to appear completely emotionless and dull was perfect for the occasion, Katsura couldn't come up with a more certain way of saying "no" than just stare them down with her cold dead eyes. Was Katsura immune to the taunts as well? For a moment it looked like that but then Katsura took her digidevice and in a few quick moves she pointed her digidevice at the chess pieces. Was it a gun? Katsura treated it like one down to pressing a button.
Now a portal stood between Katsura and the chess pieces, and Nyao was waving happily from the portal whose exit was right in front of Nyao.
"Hiii, missed me?" Nyao looked just as smug as before but what was really keeping her happy was the opportunity to get revenge.
"I could hear your every word, you really want me angry? Deal!"
The longer Nyao talked the more her eye twitched, more importantly, her claw started to smoke and she was loading it with poison too.
And then Nyao charged towards the chess pieces, guided by Katsura who pointed in the direction of the voices in unison.
If Nyao got close enough, she'd slash the nearest chess piece and inject it with poison.
"I'll never betray a friend." Katsura said firmly.
Shadow strike: Nyao's large left arm oozes a black smog. Nyao will rush towards a target at very high speed swinging her arm in a devastating slash. Does tremendous damage on impact and is compatible with Poison if available by inducing the nails. (cool-down 4 posts, will also start the cool-down period for Poison if used)
Poison: Converts the digital energy of a target digimon into darkness, deals impressive harm on the digmon over time especially when used on a powerful foe for 4 posts. (Cool down 3 posts)

Hackmon was glad that Katsura didn't listen but he did hate the fact that he couldn't change into more powerful forms without Alexis he was useless right now which truly is annoying. But it did worry him on why Katsura is thanking him? Was she thinking of taking that deal? Questions for later. Chessmon could tell it was no deal, which was unknown why giving Katsura had this dark power but wanted to save some brat she hasn't known that long, that's their thought.
Their eye's opened why thinking how did Nyao get there? Was it Katsura's doing? They thought she was useless, but maybe not. The champion level chessmon got in the way of the attack taking the full hit, but that means he would receive the most damage. "Arggg!" He said falling back, his face showing weakness as he got down on one knee.
As the other one comforted him. "You monster, what devil uses poison!" He said not knowing what to do his partner was falling and he couldn't take Nyao on alone. "If you destroy us you will never fine Alexis, cure him or else." Hackmon would smile this is where he could become useful. "She's at Alexander's" They were shocked you could see it wrote on their face. "How!" Hackmon would explain.
"He's no coward and known that you two would fail having most if not all the information on Katsura, but might not of known it would take this long giving she's holding back." Is that true was this devil holding back.
Meanwhile back with Alexis, she stil couldn't do anything as Alexander looked bored. "Where is that girl? She should have easily dealt with them chessmon pieces they were only met for time nothing more." As he said that a gold digimon came out walking past him. "She might play with them." Going inside as the door was opened looking up towards the tied up Alexis was this his partner?
"You really are a cute young lady, truly a shame you don't fall orders like one. After this I should turn you back into that air-head that was holding onto my tamer all the time." Alexis looked at him annoyed so it was his order to do that. "I can see you know many things now but not enough, you should just be quiet and serve us by now, but now you keep acting like some spoiled brat, even after I sent you a digimon that suitedyour image." Alexis looked confused. "Mmm?" She said wondering. "Oh, you didn't know Hackmon was one of my men, working under me, I thought why not a angel digimon for a cute princess, while first you needed to get put in your place so you wouldn't wear that stupid Goth outfit." Alexis was shocked what did he do everything.
"Then to add he became the opposite, it's why where destroying him when he gets here and this winged digimon will be your partner, if you don't like it I'll make you accept it. But don't worry your goals will still happen and become the digimon empress but only after marrying into it." His laugh Alexis struggling on her binds annoyed at him as his blade on his head when near her neck. "Now that's enough stop acting like your more, people are blessed with skills, some with beauty, some with everything, you were blessed with both, but not to rule, now act the role you were given and play the airhead." He would exist Alexis no longer struggling looking in disbelief, did he really do it all? Even now she was a tied up princess still nothing change, as the glass dorr closed again him waiting beside his tamer Alexander.

Being called out for the Liliana incident? Hurtful but has been done by many including Katsura herself. Have Nyao being taunted for not being an angel? Annoying indeed. But the one thing Katsura couldn't ignore was the mere suggestion of selling out a friend, an idea so ludicrous it made her incapable of feeling sorry for what Nyao did to them afterwards. Nyao herself had to use all her willpower... to stop herself from bursting out laughing at the expense of the chess pieces. For all their insults and trashtalk, a single hit was enough to reduce them to a whining mess. Who was laughing now? Definitely Nyao who had hidden her mouth behind her normal backhand while sounding like a boar in heat. It only got more hilarious to Nyao having Hackmon remind them they already know of Alexander. Nyao shrugged.
"I'm sorry, I don't have any healing power, oh well shows over I guess."
More or less, because now Katsura was directly addressing the ultimate level chessmon with no hint of fear.
"Where is Alexis?"
"I only need one mon to tell me a message, and if you don't want to I have ways. Or we can just track Alexander down the old fashioned way. You already hurt my feelings and you have nothing to offer I can't get otherwise. Might as well cooperate, your friend over there looks a little ill."

Hackmon just had a blank look 'This girl is dangerous, I sometimes forget that she has this side, maybe Katsura and Nyao are sadistic? I thought Alexis was but she's just tsundere' Wait, no healing powers another way you're not an angel, Hackmon and the chessmen thought. "If we turn our backs on him were done for!" But he could see his friend dying biting down hard on his teeth. "Fine, she's at his home, Hackmon has worked for him so you should know where it is! Now fix this!" Hackmon looked up not answering that question. "I do, well lets go." He said hoping nobody would question him on if he's worked for Alexander or not.
"Nyao destroy them and lets go, you can carry us their right? I could get a limo but it would take too much time, and many questions about Alexis would pop up." It was in the wealthly region it didn't matter on they would get their.
(You can say after flying you can say you seen a massive mansion, and seen a gold digimon, and a blue hair male sitting down in the garden waiting, if you walked or got a ride their which would take longer you can say someone who is wearing a black suit came near telling you to go in the backway. If you didn't get their yet and wished to question Hackmon that is also fine lol, and if you do anything I haven't thought off that's fine to.)
After they would get there he would be smiling at them. "You took your time getting here but better late and never please have a seat would you, and would you like anything to drink?" They would be able to see Alexis inside guarded by MagnaAngemon who's outside while Alexis is tide up inside, having tape over her mouth, Alexis looking worried, trying to tell her to run. "Mmm!" But is all she could say, but Alexander just laughed a little and smiled. "Please don't mind her, I'm showing you she is okay as a good fate for us to talk, and we both know she wouldn't be quite if I set her free." Hackmon had a look on his face, saying true, Alexis tried to get free looking annoyed at him. "Mmm!" But Alexander opened one hand showing a chair on the other side. "Please have a sit miss Katsura we have much to talk about, giving this is the first time we have met." He would wait to see if she was reasonable.

Nyao had quite a reputation for being more yan than tsun especially when it comes to Katsura. Katsura herself was quite aware of this side of her partner, this was just another episode to the collection. One difference was thistime Katsura had done very little to hold Nyao back. Except now that the fight was over.
Nyao heard them out.
"Oh please, it's only that effective on strong targets. Your friend will survive." "... You knew that the whole time?"
"Yes." "Then why didn't you say so?"
Nyao shrugged.
"You never asked... And they hurt my feelings." So for Nyao, this was more more or less just a temper tantrum? And an excuse to be violent. Katsura shocked her head and relapsed into being annoyed. That is until she glanced at the wounded chess pieces and heard Hackmon telling Nyao to deal the killing blow. Now Katsura was ready rein Nyao back by gently pushing Nyao back with her hand, enough was enough.
Katsura then redirected the portal to Terminus City in the digital world. "There's probably a hospital in Terminus somewhere... Here."
Katsura then reached down in her pocket and tossed few hundreds of bits after the chess pieces.
"Let's just go."
Nyao gestured Hackmon to her back afterwards she hugged Katsura from behind and took off into the sky with the group.
"Katsura, are you wearing the environment suit?"
"Yes?"
"Turn it on please, I'm flying through the sky." Katsura fudled with a digital clips on her clothes, it made her skirt look stolen.
"Why do I have to do this again?"
"The sky is cold." Katsura sighed as she pulled out her digidevice and started typing.
A moment later these messages arrived in Calysta's inbox on by one.
"Not coming home for dinner"
"Have to save Alexis." "Sorry for blowing up the studio." Nyao glanced down at the messages mid-flight.
"Do you think she gets it?" "Ehm, we have to bring her a bouquet on the way home. " "Why?"
"It's a guardian thing, huh must be that big house over there."
It wasn't hard to notice a big Mansion from the sky. It also helped Nyao that a giant golden digimon was in the backyard.
As they landed in the backyard there was an awkward atmosphere, yes Alexander was extremely polite and offered a drink. This forced Katsura to switch back into her fake happy mode.
"Sorry for the delay, I got caught up in a game of chess." Katsura made a forced laugh, but she couldn't help herself from passively aggressively bringing up the ambush. For a heads up, Katsura briefly glanced at Alexis while switching back to looking serious. Not long enough for Alexander to see through the facade but enough to inform Alexis she's currently acting

Hackmon would be annoyed Nyao didn't destroy them, but that isn't what he said ever so quietly, saying it so low that nobody should be able to hear him, but it wouldn't be shocking if one or both did. "Well, they were not wrong, Alexis does look more like an angel." Hackmon smiled, talking in that same way again. "At least Alexis has her beat with that." Being able to ride on him in the air without problems, maybe he should tell his tamer once they meet? It's hard to say when that will be at this rate.
Calysta would be shocked, wondering who what where, wait why did something get blown up? Hackmon would see it and say. "Oh, that's it!" He pointed at the mansion. "Fly Nyao!" He said in a funny way.
Now they would be at the mansion answering Katsura's comment.
"Oh yeah, sorry about that, my dear, I thought games where your thing so I arranged it for you." His smile was charming he could of been the Alexis type if he didn't wish to set rules on controlling her
"Mmmm!" Alexis would struggle, and Hackmon reacted. "Let her go." But a Digimon came out of the shadows in gold armor. "Is that something you have the right to say, my loyal servant." Zubamon came back out walking over to a worried and shocked Hackmon looking scared, both facing each other. "That girl was given to you out of loyalty, lately you have done nothing to prove my choice was correct, so from now on you removed from that role, and your brother shall be taking it. He'll keep her in line." Hackmon would stay quiet Alexis looks on shocked for words.
Alexander when back to the matter at hand. "Please sit Katsura don't mind them, I wish it was a way to keep Alexis quite, but you know how she is" He took another sip now saying. "I wish to ask why is it your getting in my way, that girl is a spoiled rich brat with the looks of a cute air head that people trus. I would like to hire you, power, fame, everything can be yours, even living like Alexis does in her mansion is something I could give you." He would wait to see what the girl had to say, he was thinking she might ask why he wanted Alexis so bad.

Calysta is probably going to hear about the explosion in the news that day, there was only so many studios going to blow up on this particular day. Katsura saw right through Alexander's comment, he really hired those chess pieces as some kind of assassin or kidnappers. Before Katsura could respond they were interrupted by Alexis trying to scream something, on the bright side this was proof that Alexis was relatively fine. As Hackmon was arguing with a new minion of Alexander, a talking sword? Katsura realized something, in sheer irony, Alexander was dependent on holy digimon, to others this might seem trivial but to Katsura after a brief look around revealing she was contemplating something related to that she turned back to Alexander. For now, Katsura let it go that Zubamon just told Hackmon he was fired as Alexis' partner. Without changing her demeanor, Katsura whispered to Hackmon.
["Pst, get her digidevice"] Katsura whispered, she knew Hackmon won't be much help in his current form, but if Alexis could get her digidevice maybe he would digivolve.
Katsura reluctantly accepted the offer of a chair, Nyao although she followed Katsura she didn't sit down she was just standing behind Katsura, still a Ladydevimon by the way.
The irony of Alexander's offer was Katsura already had minor notability and Nyao was a high tier digimon so even if Katsura wanted to turn her personality 180° there wasn't that much in it for her, assuming he would even keep his word and not try to delete her memories. Katsura glanced at Alexis.
"And if I don't, you'll take me away and make me forget everything?" This way it wasn't necessary for Katsura to tell Alexander anything about herself either.

Alexander couldn't help but smile. "That's true, I control minds, but didn't you manipulate her movements, if anything your perfect to join someone like myself giving we act very similar." Alexis would struggle once more moving her head side to side to mean no, because in the end Alexander is a master at convincing. "Mmm!" And she worried he could do that towards Katsura.
Hackmon would try the plan, but it wasn't any moment where he could see an opening to get it from Alexander, like Alexis you could say he's sad not because of him, but more cause his digimon partner, not trying to anymore acting like he couldn't hear Katsura.
Smiling again Alexander looked towards Katsura. "I don't know what you told him, but like how Alexis can't face me, he can't face my digimon, isn't that right Alexis?" He said, looking towards her you could see the worry being scared no longer struggling, as the holy digimon guarding the door also smiled.
"You see, she can act out but it's not hard for me to put her back into place. You can't are beating me with just your digimon Katsura so why fight? I'll get what I wish, it's why you haven't even started this battle yet, am I correct? I didn't need mind control she was going to wake up on her own anyway, it was more to show her I could" There he was getting right towards the point.
"So soon I'll be owning Alexis, would you like to go to our wedding? You can be her maid of honor, but you must not get in my way from now on understand."

Similar? Really? Katsura really can't catch a break without being reminded of her mistakes, can't she? Katsura looked at her feet in shame, she may have caused the whole maid-episode but that doesn't mean she's proud of it one bit. Nyao sneaked her head next to Katsura.
"Look..." Nyao said softly while turning her pupils towards Alexis who was shaking her head at the moment. It may not be possible for Katsura to forgive herself, but at least Alexis had accepted her apology... In a moment where Alexander wasn't around. Katsura forced her face back from smug to regular upon finding out Alexander hadn't her commanding Hackmon, Katsura's plan was slowly falling in place. The next step was more tricky, Katsura needed to both stall long enough to buy Hackmon time and deliver the plan to Alexis all without Alexander knowing. All this was going on while Alexander kept talking. "No, not really" was the answer Katsura was thinking in her mind, both Nyao and Alexis had one big thing in common; they both love attacking right away. Katsura is different, she plays the long game and improvise on the way. And right now Katsura hatched a plan to do both while answering Alexander, in the most drawn out answer she could muster.
"I donnooo- I used to think Alexis was determined but she's now she's entitlement itself. I really shouldn't betray a friend, loyalty means a lot to me. It's like the time when I wanted to follow the light. Then again I need the find the tool to evolve into something new."
A whole lot of nothing from Katsura's mouth? Or was there a deeper meaning? And what's with the Katsura's strange speach pattern of emphasis? That was for Alexis to decide.

He meant that comment in a good way, even if Katsura didn't. "Why the sad face, it wasn't a bad thing, if anything I would say it's amazing with the right help, you could become someone who people see as a threat." He said smiling, meaning every word said from his mouth.
No Alexis was okay with Katsura it was more about him being too powerful, is why she looked worried. "Entitlement is a nice way of saying brat, or pain, or well you get my point but allow me to show you she can't do anything." The angel digimon would open the glass door untieing Alexis, pulling the tape off, as she held her mouth in pain. "See, I'm not scared of losing here, allow me to show you more." He throws her digivice which was in his pocket, at Alexis, catching it, usually she would say a speech and change Hackmon into a more powerful form, but Alexis looked at it worried then back at him scared. "Well Alexis going to fight me." She didn't say a word, it's like Alexis wasn't even ready to try. Which is odd Alexis has put up fights against strong digimon who each time are stronger then herself with no chance of winning, even with the risk of losing she never backed down, but right now she couldn't, as Alexander looked back at Katsura.
"See she can't fight me, tieing her like that was more for show, if anything I was being kind allowing her to think I wouldn't let her fight, but even if she can, she will not, will not against me." He wasn't wrong with Alexis now free not saying or doing anything.
"Well, now will you give up?" Alexander spoke, staring into her eye's, Katsura.

Alexander's comment was ironically funny, Katsura and Nyao have a reputation and Katsura knows it. Nyao was the one who took down not one but two high ranked dark digimon, a Reaper agent and literally curb-stomped a slave owner. Katsura herself had been a diplomat for angels and demon-digimon and redeemed Piedmon. The maid-episode in hindsight was also worth putting on a resumé then again it was one of Katsura's greatest shames. That Alexander clearly didn't understand why such subjects was could be painful for Katsura was a good reminder how little he valued other people.
Katsura watched Alexis, despite being untied, having Hackmon in her proximity and Katsura's riddle to boot, no evolution.
"I wish Scarlet was here." Katsura didn't honestly expect such snark to work, but she couldn't help herself.
Following Alexander's unsuble demand for surrender, Nyao turned to Katsura. "So what now?"
Alexis still unable to evolve, was disappointing but not that big of surprise. Katsura had never seen Hackmon in mega and knew Alexander had mind altering powers in his disposal. But yeah, it was time to answer.
"Plan B"
"Plan me?"
Katsura paused for a moment to collect her thoughts then she nodded before turning back to Alexander.
With her hands tinkering with her digidevice, specifically the portal generating device, she answered.
"Nobody uses the 'scholar mate' anymore, do you know why?"
Aside from a cold tone and a predatory tint in her eyes, Katsura was back to her emotionless self and just stared right into Alexander's soul.

Nyao does have a reputation, but nobody can say Katsura's is any less. Theyare equally as dangerous in their own unique way. Alexis destroys towns, cities, and digimon, fighting even lost battles, but for once......she was truly afraid. Alexis could only look towards one side in shame, knowing right now Scarlet wasn't here. And yes, she wasn't wrong, it didn't work, thinking about standing up towards Alexander wasn't possible.
Was it much Katsura could do? Alexis wasn't willing to fight, so it's like everyone says. Can't help someone who isn't willing to save themselves. Alexander already smiling in victory.
Alexander just looked mockingly at Katsura. "I do, but I know why you should give up. The conversation is pointless if your friend isn't willing to fight, then it's nothing you can do." That looked she gave him, annoyed Alexander towards the point that both fun, and games are over, giving that same emotion back.
"Go play Digimon, if you wish to see Alexis then do it. At school." He said no longer focusing on Katsura giving it wasn't anything else she could do he had won.

Alexander may know the scholar's mate but not why Katsura was bringing it up. For all Alexander's so-called knowledge about Katsura, he still doesn't seem to get her cryptic language. Katsura wasn't tinkering with her digidevice at random, she was adjusting the settings. And now was the time to launch plan B, dubbed "Plan Nyao". The moment Alexander looked away to dismiss Katsura, a large portal underneath the group was sucking them in, Katsura, Alexander, HolyAngemon and their tables. Now where were they going? To the dark area! Specifically the Forsaken Wasteland Once everyone was inside the portal would close, this was Katsura's way of keeping them in. Alexander may have chosen the stakes and the terms for a battle but Katsura would pick the battlefield! Katsura had placed the portal several feet above the ground, this wasn't an issue for Katsura since Nyao was currently a dark angel right behind her. Now Nyao carried Katsura down to gently place her on the black ground.
"You don't really know me... Fighting... Isn't really my thing... I don't like it... But if I must I will... Huh I never started it before... Guess there's a first for anything?" "Everything" "Right."
