Numbers. A sea of numbers. Of ones and zeros, the basic units that served as the bedrock of computer systems everywhere, flowed around her head inside and out. It hurt. When she opened her eyes they burned with a sea of imaginary numbers yet even when she closed them it was the same story. She wanted to sleep. She wanted to rest. She wanted the numbers to go away. Eventually the headache subsided enough and she fell asleep.
She had been fully expecting to awaken to more of the numbers but...no. She awoke to the sight of the sky, the sound of water splashing against something and the coarse ground pressing against her body.
“Mmm..mmm…” Her body felt heavy, her limbs like lead. She wanted to sleep. She wanted to feel. She wanted.... What did she want…? The female tried to pull herself up, pumping blood and oxygen into her strained limbs, forcing them to shake off the aftermath of atrophy.
A sudden feeling of nausea struck the woman as she took in the details of the environment around her. Black chains, extending from a crimson sea, attached to floating spheres. This woman remembered little. She had to concentrate and furrowed her brow, wracking her mind until her name came to her.
“Littorio….” With no real idea of where she was and remembering little but her name, Littorio did what came natural to her: putting one foot ahead of the other walking aimlessly away from the Cliffs of Chaos.

(Hey gimme bits please.)
The Dark Area was as lawless a land as it seemed doomed to always be, but that didn't change the fact that a big issue for it had been uprooted for about a year and some months now. At least, a year and some months in terms of Digital World time.
In the time since then, a rather special project had been taking place within the Dark Area. A project that, for the sake of brevity, conciseness and all-around hopefully not taking up too much time, will remained unexplained outside of 'the issue that was uprooted left a number of holes in the Area that needed to be patched up.
Of course, the problem here was that the holes needed...numbers. One with knowledge beyond what they should know to fix. So, a certain individual matching the description of a rotund Tsukaimon and her partner were wandering the wastes in search of such a person. Someone with the knowledge they lacked, and accompanying them was...A LadyDevimon that would hopefully know where one like that was.
"...So, this stuff's been going on for about a Digital World year and...it's only getting more glaring in nature, you say?" Akemi asked Anzu, who only nodded. "We noticed it early when the holes started popping up near Deeplane. But...those efforts...Eh, they took a while to get through..."
This was basically looking through the Dark Area for help. Of any kind.

“I trust you realise I have no interest in meeting with my former partner given our prior interaction.” The LadyDevimon X flew alongside Anzu and Akemi, letting out a soft sign under her breath. She really did not desire to meet her former partner. The stunt and betrayal Littorio had pulled off was simply unacceptable, especially given just how long the Italian must have been planning it for.
“But I suppose I do not want the Dark Area to erode and Littorio was the one responsible for it.” Yet another exasperated sigh escaped the X-antibody digimon’s lips. She felt betrayed and a little hurt. Her desire to understand the Digital World had been taken advantage of and stamped into the ground, manipulated for some crazed humans desire.
“What makes you think Littorio is even alive still? I managed to escape the biomerge unharmed but she did not and nobody has seen her for months, not even in the human world.” Despite no longer having a partner Lavinia did still possess her former partner’s digivice, it had been rather helpful in the few times she desired to travel to the human world.
Suddenly, there was a loud scream in the distance coming from the direction of the cliffs. A scream may not sound worthy of attention but it was a female’s voice definitely and what Digimon would be screaming in the Dark Area? Most of the natives here were tough enough to ensure their own safety.
From the direction of the cliffs a pack of Dark Tyrannomon could be seen, chasing a human and swiftly gaining on her. The female was running as fast as her human legs could carry her, heavy breathing sapping her of breath until eventually she tripped over a rock and fell face first on the ground.

"Oh, no, we understand that, but...there's supposed to be a method to this..." Akemi trailed off, briefly. What could this even be classified as? Stupidity? "Stupidity. We shouldn't even be looking for that tramp. And if we find her, we should just eutha--"
"Anzu." A curt and stern utterance of her name was enough to make Anzu quiet down for the moment. She had always been quite...violent whenever mentioning this woman. Now was no different. Even if she was in her usual form of Mephistomon X now.
As for what prompted the thought of this reprehensible individual even being alive? Well, for one... "A body was never found. I don't know how the death of a human would be handled here but we never did confirm her demise...So, a search should be in order."
And then the scream. Oh dear. Akemi directed Anzu to go in the direction of the scream, and noticing a human that they did not quite recognize yet, opted to...well. Do the right thing. "Crush them." She directed, before Anzu closed her umbrella and pointed it forwards to fire a Black Sabbath at the Dark Tyrannomon. A warning shot that was also aimed for the core of one.
...A very colorful warning shot at that. "Lavinia, secure the human."

“ Anzu...there is little value in us discussing what we should do with our query at this stage. Currently we need to determine whether she’s alive and, if she IS alive, get her to assist in resolving this mess. After which we can discuss what punishment we should met out.” It went unsaid but Lavinia did not feel as if simple euthanisation was a suitable punishment. In her experiences in the human world she had learned the value of a proper legal process to fully explore and reveal all facts before making a judgement. The dinosaur Digimon turned their attention away from the human female just in time for one of them to take a blast to their chest which sent them crashing into the dirt. The remaining dinosaurs snarled, both of them launching a blast of flames towards the members of Deeplane. While this happened Littorio, not really knowing what was happening, merely threw herself to the ground and curled up into a ball to avoid being crushed or worse. Without wasting time with a verbal reply, Lavinia charged forth flying towards the cradled human grabbing her before unleashing a wave of bats to distract the dinosaur digimon by lashing out at their eyes. Littorio could only scream as she was picked up by the devil Digimon and whisked back to where Akemi was, only to be carefully set down. Of course Littorio, with no memory of where she was or who she really was, would only scream and crawl away from Anzu utterly terrified of the ram skull headed Digimon before her.

"Wouldn't being forced to render assistance be punishment enough...?" Akemi found herself muttering. She didn't really share much of the murderous sentiments that Anzu did towards their quarry, but punishment -was- required. Punishment that the accused would hopefully -not- enjoy, even if that'd be amusing.
In addition, there was due process, too. Trials before sentencing. An executioner was what the Mephistomon X was, but she certainly wasn't no judge or jury, either. Anzu's initial assault left her wide open when it came to retrieving the contemptuous Italian, but something had been off while the lady had been...missing, yes, let's go with that. In the meantime, Akemi threw herself to the ground to avoid the flames of the DarkTyrannomon.
It was like she hadn't recalled who Anzu was in the slightest. In fact, she even feared the Mephistomon X, recoiling in terror at the strange appearance of the perfect level. "...Well, you certainly look and seem well." The ram spoke, after flames crashed into her and...moderately scorched her.
She was a perfect level, after all. Simple champion attacks were not quite as potent as they were a level prior. Anzu would rush forth at one of the DarkTyrannomon, power coursing through her folded up parasol as she aimed to quite literally stake one through the Digicore with it. This was but one form of her counterattack ability, which was quite potent in the right situations.
Would it work, however? Who knows. In the mean time, Akemi got to her feet and moved to stand between Littorio and the rest of the ensuing battle. "Just keep calm and keep your head down, please!" She requested. It was a lot to ask of a terrified woman, however...

The surviving Tyrannomon roared, snarled and growled but seeing as how one of their number had so easily been felled by a parasol to the Digicore opted to keep their distance before opting to retreat. They turned tail and fled, seemingly deciding that a single human was not worth battling two Digimon of a far higher level. Despite the rampaging dinos leaving Littorio was still utterly terrified.
The Italian crawled backwards away from Mephistomon X, her skin pale and devoid of colour. Her entire body shook with abject fright. She would keep on crawling until colliding with one of Lavinia’s legs, her head looking upwards and yet again screaming. Littorio jumped to her feet and took a few cautious steps back but the Ladydevimon raising her claw was enough to convince her to stay put for the time being.
“Who are you, who are these monsters, where am I and…” A sense of dizziness and disorientation came over Littorio, her balance fading as she stumbled with her head in her hand.
“...Who am I….?” She remembered her name but little else. The last thing she remembered was…..moving to Japan… Anything after that was a complete and utter blank. A totally absent period of her memory devoid of meaning, context or anything.

Much to the probable elation of everybody present, the DarkTyrannomon finally grew a sense of intelligence and decided to, for lack of any better terminology, piss off. "Like rats." Anzu spat. Seriously, they should not be doing this whatsoever. They knew who was in charge here, did they not?
"Digimon." Akemi answered, curtly. "You're in another world's version of Hell. Though it's not so hellish anymore, really..." She was not about to beat around the bush here, even if you weren't necessarily supposed to fire such bombshells at the amnesiac like that. "You're Mazanti Littorio. I'm Akemi. Nice to meet you again, I guess?" It'd probably help to get the amnesiac woman to relax a bit before she ended up attracting more weird stuff their way.
Of course, once the other lizards cleared out, Anzu very much turned to level a glare at Littorio, before she looked to Lavinia. The baphomet asked but a simple question. "So, what do we do now? We obviously found her, what do we do now?"

“Digimon…?...Am I? All I remember is my name and little else…” Due to her lack of memory and feeling more than a little detached from the entire situation, she almost missed Akemi mentioning again. However...what was most obvious to her was the Baphomet like Digimon shooting a glare at her way which made her shrivel and emotionally retreat, taking a single nervous step backwards in the process.
“Your friend um….did I do something wrong?.......What do you mean again though?” It was obvious this Akemi girl and her companions knew SOMETHING about her but what? If only her memory was not missing. Perhaps she could put things together.
“...We take her back to the giant hole of corrosion eating away at the Darkzone. I was hoping she would know more but with her memory missing….well. I suppose we simply need her memory to come back.” Lavinia honestly...felt very conflicted. Yes, she had learned Littorio’s relationship with her was built on deceit and manipulation but...despite that Littorio had treated her rather nicely. Did the motivations of one cheapen their acts?
“Um….what are you talking about?...” There was a lot of information being revealed and none of it made the slightest lick of sense. The Italian wondered if she should try and make a run for it again, her expression twisted into a portrait of fear.

There was obviously a lot for this woman to get up to speed on, and they didn't have ALL of the time in the world to ensure this was done efficiently. But, they did have time. They needed to move, too, given how this place was pretty much prone to have creatures of all varieties spring up at any given moment.
"It's a very long story." That Akemi was not going to be telling here. Nope, not at all. Plenty of wrong had already been done and neither of the two were about to give enough room for others like this woman to commit even more wrongdoing towards the Council and the Digital World as a whole.
"Good thing we have the Zone under lockdown..." Anzu muttered as she turned to start walking. "If you'll follow us, we'll keep you safe from any more fellows like those. And I'll try my best to explain."
This was going to be a long and sordid affair, really. It wasn't one that Akemi was looking forward to, either.
