Personality: The fact that Shio and Hothead usually don’t get along isn’t because they are too different from each other, it’s actually because they’re so much alike. Shio isn’t exactly an upstanding kid. He, like Hothead, is pretty impulsive, he isn’t the most honest person and has a very difficult time following orders from others. He also doesn’t have too much of a filter when it comes to what he’s thinking and what he expresses aloud. He’s actually a little too honest when it comes to his opinions of others or others' ideas but will definitely lie if he thinks that will cause things to play out in his favor. However, Shio isn’t all bad. He doesn’t commit wrongful acts simply because he can. He usually has a good reason, or at least he thinks they’re good reasons, to behave the way that he does.
When it comes to his social life, despite his flaws, Shio does have friends. Friends of his are usually in two groups, friends that know that trouble will most likely ensue and don’t mind or friends that tag along to attempt to prevent too much trouble from happening (getting a girl to yell at/chastise him is the best way to make this happen). Either way, if you made it to the ‘friends’ category in his eyes, you’ll probably never be bored and you’ve got a friend that will definitely be down to get revenge for you if it’s needed.

Shio isn't exactly considered tall compared to other boys his age, much to his dismay. Standing only at about five feet five inches, it probably isn’t a good idea to reference his height. That being said even though he is in decent shape due to his love for boxing, at first glance isn't usually considered a threat. This is due to the fact that he looks like he could be knocked over with a feather. He weighs about one hundred and thirty-six pounds with a build similar to swimmers, although he isn't as toned as he’d liked to be. Shio's hair isn't too much to make a fuss about, it’s simply jet black, not very long and usually pretty messy.
Shio choice in clothing usually isn't given too much thought by him, considering he feels there’s nothing he doesn't look good in. He usually tries to wear as little clothing as possible which, for the most part, consists of black v-necks, jeans, shorts, and a pair of sunglasses. He also wears two pieces of jewelry which are his short silver chain around his neck and an black skull and crossbones earring. He hates his school uniform or anytime he has to dress formally.

Ikedo, Shio is the second child and second son of the Ikedo family and has had a pretty decent life. He has lived in Western Shibuya for as long as he can remember with both his parents and his older brother. He's never really had to worry about bullies throughout school thanks to his brother and his reputation (although that same reputation does bring him enemies). He’s also always had someone to knock him in the head when he got into trouble, which was often.
During his fifteen years of life, Shio really hasn't had too many notable troubles. He's never really had to be exposed to anything horrible or jarring, even with his father being in the Japan Self Defense Forces. On the contrary, his father's career helped play a role in keeping his life so comfortable. The only black mark one might find in Shio’s life is the trouble he stays in at school, which is something he doesn't really consider to be troubling. He's just had a hard time staying in class the entire day and then when he's at school, he’s usually messing around. It's something that's plagued him for years now and is usually the reason why his parents and his brother stay on his case the most for.

However, the only true times that Hothead is show’s that he is concerned for his tamer isn’t exactly healthy. Hothead is highly jealous and doesn’t particularly enjoy times when he can’t harass Shio because he’s out somewhere he can’t occupy him. Another way he shows his attachment to the boy is that when it comes down to it, Hothead can be highly protective of his partner. The term “nobody hurts him but me” comes into play here.
Personal History: Before showing up as a digitama in Shio’s life, Hothead’s last memory was of being destroyed by a Digimon he can’t remember while he was in his ultimate form as Death Meramon. Other than that he only remembers general knowledge of the digital world, but not exact locations. He also has recollection of the fact that he wasn’t exactly a fan of human and Digimon partnerships. He doesn’t remember who old enemies or allies might have been either, he only knows that not too much time has passed since he was destroyed.
Before his most recent regeneration, Hothead was just known as Death Meramon and he was a cruel Digimon who led a small gang of other fire type Digimon, mostly made up of Meramon and Blue Meramon. They had control of a few villages due to their force and fire power. Since his current reformation though, his first few forms have changed from what they were in his past life (he doesn’t remember what they were but can just feel that something is slightly off) but his cruel nature has changed drastically. He is not the leader of a tyrant gang any longer. That mentality has diminished greatly in this life now leaving Shio with what the foul mouth Digimon we have here.

He then will attempt to put distance between them again before giving them a chance to counter. However if he feels this tactic is taking up to much time, he will get up close and personal with all his strength to overpower whoever it may be.
Abilities: Sun Ray: As long as there is an adequate light source, usually the sun, Hothead can absorb the light into his eyes and magnify it’s intensity. Anything he focuses his gaze on starts to heat up and possibly burn. If it is a flammable object or substance, they can erupt into flames. Can also be used to disorient an opponent.
Trick of the Light: Hothead can bend light to cause small scale mirages or optical illusions. During battle these illusions only last for 1 post and have a 2 post cooldown period.

He can then use his powerful fire attacks to cause more damage at this range while still being able to remain at a far enough distance to dodge incoming attacks if need be. If he has to get up close and personal with an attacker, Hothead can wield his dual staffs at the same time (he’s ambidextrous) to unleash a flurry of blows to his target.
Abilities:
Fire Cloud: Hothead raises one of his staves above his head and summons a circle of roaring flames around himself. This used to keep his target trapped in the circle with him or used to keep an enemy away from himself. Once the flames have been created, Hothead can draw the flames closer to himself forcing his opponent closer to him. This attack only lasts two posts with a three post cool down.
Firecracker: Hothead twirls both of his staffs which cause them to erupt in flames. He can then throw either one or both of his staffs at his target while they are on fire. They spin towards his target and explode on impact. Whenever the do make an impact the force of the explosion sends them hurtling back towards him for him to catch. If he throws one this requires a 1 post cool down, if he throws both it requires 2.
Up In Smoke: One of Hothead’s few defensive abilities, Up In Smoke allows his body to completely take the form of black smoke making him temporarily intangible giving him the opportunity to withstand an attack without taking damage. It is difficult for him to pull off without being sufficiently aware of an incoming attack. Rarely has time to perform when at point blank range, Can only be used once per battle. Even if he uses it and it is not needed he cannot use it again.
Ignite: Hothead holds one of his staves up to his face and blows which sends strong flames at his target. The red staff fires a more concentrated blast while the blue staff fore a widespread wave of blue fire.

Flash Fire: Hothead loses his anatomical form and becomes a large mass of fire. That shoots towards his opponent enveloping them in flames that have elevated in temperature. This attack usually leaves a trail of fire behind him and around his target. After a few moments, of envelopment, 1 post, Hothead shoots back to his starting point and regains his original form. Cooldown 4 posts, can only be used twice per battle. After a second use there is a possibility that he will not be able to maintain his Meramon form for much longer.

Roar: Hothead looks to the sky and lets out a mighty roar. Large powerful flames radiate from his body and envelope a large area of fire with him at the center. The closer you are to Hothead at the time the more damage you will take. Lasts for 1 posts, cooldown 4 posts.
Fire Barrage: Simply put Hothead generate and throw fireballs at his opponent. He can either throw up to ten in succession, in which case there is a cooldown of 2 posts, or he can throw one or two at a time and in this case there is no cooldown.
Dragon’s Breath: Meramon can release a wave of fire from his mouth. Most effective at close range
Flash Fire: Hothead loses his anatomical form and becomes a large mass of fire. That shoots towards his opponent enveloping them in flames that have elevated in temperature. This attack usually leaves a trail of fire behind him and around his target. After a few moments, of envelopment, 1 post, Hothead shoots back to his starting point and regains his original form. Cooldown 4 posts, can only be used twice per battle. After a second use there is a possibility that he will not be able to maintain his Meramon form for much longer.
