Ann kept holding Treat's fur. Being mounted on Treat was something Ann found to be fun, but right now there were more important reasons to it. The high speeds in which they ran were proof of it: they were being chased. Not by the police or anything like that, by a digimon, a champion digimon named Cyclonemon. It was huge and brute, and Treat had not been able to handle fighting it. So, they ran. They turned quickly to shove themselves between two buildings. They had no idea in which portion of Shibuya they were anymore. Strangely it reminded Ann of the day Treat digivolved to Roardmon. How he had bravely fought for her and when it all seemed lost he evolved. "I think we lost him, my princess." Treat commented, still breathing heavily. "You sure?" Ann asked with her hearth calming down slightly. "Almost. I'll check." Treat took a look out and quickly came back inside. "He doesn't know where we are, but his is not too far and is looking for us. We should stay here until he goes away."
"I'm in Shibuya, why did that train let me out here? I guess I can get home in time to meet dad." Takeda pulled out his D-Tector and smiled, he remembered how he had gotten it and how he had made a friend named Ann as well as her Digimon Treat. "I wonder if I'll ever see her again, I guess time will tell." Takedas' lungs filled with the smells and air of Shibuya, a place that Takeda had been once before with his mother on a shopping trip with his aunt. "That was so long ago, I wonder if the buildings are all the same?" For a while Takeda continued to walk around the city trying to find something that he could remember but to no avail.
"I'm horribly lost and I'm so close to home, well a lot closer than I was." Behind him, a trash can was knocked over alarming him as he pulled out his D-Tector. "Oh my, it was just a trash can. I don't think I can even use this here anyway, I bet it only works in the digital world." Takeda walked over to the trash can and picked it up, realizing what knocked it down in the first place. A large yellow beast was walking down the alleyway that this trashcan was in front of, he looked as though he was searching for something. As Takeda continued to look at the beast, he was in both shock and awe. His legs would not move, and he couldn't risk yelling and alerting the monster what could he do? Out of the corner of his eye he saw a small head pop around from another alleyway and looked at the beast then ducked back into the alley. "What was that, was that a Digimon? Is that thing a Digimon?"
The cyclonemon still hadn`t left. Ann was beggining to get unpatient.
"When will it go away? What is it waiting for?" She asked
"I don`t know maybe it can smell us." Treat replied
"I don`t think so, otherwhise it would know where we are."
"You`re probably right. Hm...."
"I sense something familiar. Let me take a look, my princess."
The blue dog-like digimon took a sneak peak out of their hiding place and almost immediatly turned back, with a look of amazement in his face.
"What did you see?" Ann whispered, hoping the Cyclonemon didn`t see Treat`s head out.
"I saw Takeda." Treat replied
Ann moved too look out too. There he was, their friend Takeda, one which they found alone and left with a spirit to wield, after he saved their lives. It had been some time, in which Treat evolved into his rookie form and in which they walked around the digital world before returning. But Takeda seemed lost and afraid. He had to have seen the cyclonemon. Ann decided to take action, but Treat realized what she was about to do and ran out first.
"Takeda, come with me!" he whispered to the boy as he approached him, before running back to the hiding place.
"Where is he?" Ann asked anxious.
"He should be following me, if he heard me." Treat answered
"What if he didn`t recongnise you?"
"I called him by name. I should at least have his attention. And that may just be enought for him to have trusted me."
"Takeda, come with me!" A dog like Digimon whispered his name before running back around the alley corner. "Did that thing know my name? It has to be a Digimon, it talked!" The large beast at least didn't seem to see or hear it escape back to the alleyway, but Takeda wasn't sure he would be able to make it undetected. Takeda looked his D-Tector over, "I wonder if I could take that thing on? That Digimon is bigger than the one I fought to get my spirit and that was a hard fight. It just wants the little one, what if i just left? How did it know my name though, and why would it risk being seen to tell me to follow it?" Takeda knew he would have to help the little Digimon, if at first to see what he was after. He put his D-Tector in his pocket and as quietly as he could tiptoed over to where the little Digimon vanished. He rounded the corner and was shocked at what he saw. "Ann!"
Takeda was glad to see his friends again, but he never thought this would be how he would wind up running into them. "Ann, Treat, I'm really glad to see you guys but I agree with Treat on this one. We need to figure out a way to get out of here." Takeda looked around the corner and spotted the Digimon sniffing the air around him. Takeda whispered to the others. "I don't think this will be easy, what if we try to sneak past him like we did to get into the alleyway?" Takeda looked at Ann and treat once more, "Why is this guy looking for you two? What happened when we separated?" Takeda looked at the two with a puzzled look on his face.
"No Takeda. We wait. Trying to sneak past it now, would be simple madness." Treat replied
"Treat! Where are your manners? Sorry about that Takeda. When we separated we simply roamed around the digital world a bit more. But so much happened in that time...it`s hard to say exactly what was most important. Treat evolved, but I think you arledy noticed that. We were coming back, afterall, I did promisse I`d be back for dinner, so we went back to the human world. A nice Trailmon offered us a ride here. What none realised until it was too late was that it was a cargo trailmon and one of the digimon got on the loose. When we arrived at the digital world, that cyclonemon got out of the trailmon too. After that we kind of tried to help the trailmon get it back, but it came after us." Ann explained.
"At first I tried to stand up to it, but it seems the digimon lvl categories are no joke. Rookies really can`t beat Champions." Treat finished
Takeda wasn't aware there were levels to digimon, he was still fairly new. His last encounter seemed so hard by himself this new Digimon must be tougher than anything he could imagine. "Right treat, I'm sorry I had no idea that this thing was that strong. If it can't be taken down by just you why don't we both take it on?" Takeda pulled out his D-Tector and waived it in front of the two of them. "This way we both have back up, and the way I see it the odds would be in our favor. There's two of us and only one of him. This should be cake!"
"Maybe we can give it a try..." Treat looked at Ann. She seemed impressed by Takeda`s bravery. Treat couldn`t help but feel a bit of envy, but he quickly washed it of. Those were not the kind of thought he should have. "Lets go then."
Takeda got off the alley ready to start fighting again, but he noticed the digimon was now gone for some reason. It was a bit disappoiting that when they decided to face it, he was gone, and yet it was also a relief: at least now they knew they wouldn`t just get hurt.
"So Takeda..." Ann began seeing that the Cyclonemon was gone now "What happened to YOU when we separated? Did you have any crazy adventures? Why did you come back now?"
(OOC: I sent you a PM, but Im not sure if you saw it, so... I`m gonna quote: "Just wanted to tell we're reaching one of those "key plot points" I told you about. Anyway, I'm gonna need either Takeda or Ann to start an argument with Treat when the cyclonemon is gone. Just wanted to make sure you're okay with it. Thanks")
Cyclonemon had disappeared, and all the tension that had built up inside Takeda was now being released all at once. His heart pounded and his blood felt like it was getting hot. Was he actually getting angry about the situation? Was he angry at Cyclonemon for chasing Ann and Treat, or was he mad at himself for not keeping the promise he made in the Valley of the Dragon? "What happened to YOU when we separated?" "Nothing..." "Did you have any crazy adventures?" "NO" "Why did you come back now?" "Treat! Why would you bring Ann into such a dangerous situation!? Why box yourself in somewhere that Cyclonemon could have hurt the two of you or even worse?!"
Takeda had no idea where his sudden burst of anger came from, he was never like this. Was his spirit beast changing the way he felt and acted? He stood there with his mouth open wide, glaring at Treat and glancing back at Ann. He was angry, but he didn't know why he was so upset. It was as if his voice echoed through the alley way, the sound of his yelling at Treat echoed in his head. "Ann, I didn't mean that......Treat, Treat I'm sorry"
The answers Takeda gave them were good, Ann guessed. She would love to have heard of stories of heroism and things as such, but him being Ok, was enoought. Strangely after that Takeda begna to criticize Treat. Ann thought it was a bit rought on Treat, but Takeda did have a point. She thought.
Treat on the other hand, was not so accepting.
"Excuse me? I don`t see anywhere else to hide and I told you I tried to fight him first! Oh, but you`re so brave... you go and fidn him, then tell me how the fighting went! Don`t come around excusing yourself!" Treat roared, clearly angry too" I haven`t slept you know... Not for the last week. I needed to protect Ann. If I couldn`t beat that Cyclonemon down... You think you could?"
"Treat stop it, he apologized!" Ann interviened, trying stop the fighting
"My princess, I..."
"No. Apologize to him, then we`ll all get out of here ."
"Apologize?!...No..."Treat was getting angrier and angrier. He had no idea of was going on, but he couldn`t stop. He felt something, an influence. A dark influence. "After all I done, after I even ran to him to save his hide, he..."
"He saved us before. Apologize, don`t be so rude."
"Treat don`t be that way, do as I told you. Apologize! Don`t be so mean!"
Treat was stunned.
"You`re sidign with him?" Treat asked. Ann didn`t reply. "Why? I...I..."
Treat turned He couldn`t take it. It was blinded and all he could see was Ann. He wouldn`t have minded that, except that he was feeling like she was betraying him. Like she didn`t care about what he had done for her. He began to run away. Ann tried to chase him, but to no avail. Treat disappeared from her sight, tiny tears spread on the ground like footsteps.
"Treat..." she called whispering, like it would be of any use.
As Treat ran off, Takeda felt as horrible as the things he had said to Treat. How could he have done that to someone he considered a friend? "Ann...Ann.....we'll get him back don't worry. I'll make sure nothing happens to either of you." Takeda looked at his D-Tector, the light reflected off of it making it gleam a dark crimson. "How could I have done that, especially to Treat?" Takeda looked at Ann as she stared in the Direction Treat ran in. The screen on his D-Tector lit up as he heard the voice of his spirit. "We should find him." Takeda growled back at the spirit with rage fueled words, "If it wasn't for you this wouldn't have happened!"
The spirit remained as calm as it had been since the day Takeda obtained it, "The power you obtained from me is something you are not yet used too, you're body will react and amplify how you feel. It might take a while for you to adjust." Takeda looked down at his D-Tector again, the light was gone. "You mean that was me yelling at Treat, I meant what I said?" Takeda knew what he had to do, he raised his digivice and allowed a stream of code to flow around his hand. Swiping his palm over the scanner he shouted with the same rage that fueled his outburst at Treat, "EXECUTE! Spirit Evolution!"
His change felt different than it had the last time he used his spirit. It felt good, it felt as though he was evolving for a reason. He would make this right, at all costs. Guilmon X stood where Takeda once was with a look of determination sprawled across his face. He walked beside Ann and put his claws on one of her shoulders. "Ann, we'll get him back. Please, jump on my back and use my ears to hold on. We'll chase him down, and we can make this better."
Once more Takeda spirit evolved to help her. He offered her to "ride" him to put it that way. She felt excited, but also sad. Treat had just ran off...
They searched for a great deal of time, but Treat was nowhere to be found. Where could an enormous blue dog with biocules be hiding in the middle of a perfectly normal city? Well, not perfectly normal, as there were digimon everywhere, but still... it seemed odd that Treat had managed to hide that well. Takeda did have a point, an ally ain`t exactly historie`s most brilliant hiding spot. And now it seemed he vanished. Could he have returned to the digital world? Oh no... Why? Where was he? Where was Treat?
Treat woke up less than good. All around him was darkness, so guessed he was in a basement. It took a little bit for him to remember what had happened, why he was here. A tear fell from his eyes. He stood, determined to apologize and return to...
"But what if she doesn`t want me anymore? What if I am not worthy anymore, what if I am too weak, too mean too dumb!..." He argued with himself,
"But you ARE worthy. And gentle. That`s the problem." He heard a deep, slithering voice voice say in the darkness.
"What? Who`s there?"
"You are too kind. How could she ever see you`re worthy if you`re kind? Your valor has to be proven in strength, not anything else. In power. I can help you with that...."
"Help me with what?"
"Getting her back for you. Forever. Come here, I can help you..."
Treat wasn`t sure. Part of him screamed for him to get out of there, but the other part.... saw no hope beyond this guy`s offering. Slowly he began to walk to the direction of the voice. He felt like he was being pulled to it. And then he saw a glowing green light appear from nowhere, and a large, spiked green egg, with seemly six eyes and two thin wood-like arms coming out of it. It took one more curious step for the egg to come flying straight to Treat.
Still with Takeda, giving up on the searches, Ann felt something odd and her digivice began doing a strange noise. She removed it from her pocket and to her suprisse, the screen was green. All the sudden a balck and green shadow wrapped and grew around her digivice, which she dropped with fear. What was going on? The shadow disappeared back into the digivice, but Ann was really worried.
"We have to find Treat. I think something happened to him." She told Takeda "I don`t know what, but something is definetly wrong."
