Construction Job C - Cook food for the Work Crews
Rosewood City, a busy city that was founded by rookies such as Hiroshi and Leroy. The duo were there to sign up for one of the many jobs available. Hiroshi was excited by the prospect but his brother Leroy was not as thrilled. However at the idea of money, the furry Shoutmon eased up a little and became cooperative. Soon Hiroshi found them a job but Leroy found the idea of cooking for the work crews tedious. At least he knew it was easy money but that didn't make the thought of the job any easier. Hiroshi had offered to do the cooking and managed to convince his twin to help by carrying the food to the workers. With that the mismatched looking twins made their way to the food tent to get to work.
The scaly Cutemon known as Hiroshi began moving around the small kitchen throwing together various ingredients while his furry Shoutmon brother waited for the food trays to fill up with food. Little by little the tray filled and Leroy started pushing the food out to the hungry digimon. Things seem to be going well but if there was one thing Hiroshi knew, that was chaos and Leroy seemed to go together and it would only be quiet for so long. It wasn't of Leroy got bored, it was when and Hiroshi just hoped to get through the work day without his brother getting them or himself into trouble.
As the day reached its halfway point Hiroshi was getting uneasy at Leroy's quietness. For Leroy, that could only mean one thing. Something that was nothing short of chaos was about to happen and Hiroshi had a gut feeling that it would be soon.
"Hiroshi, how much longer? I'm bored." Leroy groaned his patience not wearing thin but seemingly completely gone.
"We're about halfway through, Leroy. Don't worry. I promise that after this we'll go and spar together outside of town." Hiroshi said in an effort to placate his restless brother. Whether his efforts would be success or not would be up to Leroy. Hiroshi hoped Leroy would be able to contain himself.
"Okay, I'll do my best to be patient." Leroy said with a sigh as HIroshi went back to cooking unaware that a mischievous grin spread across the furry Shoutmon's face. It seemed trouble was brewing as Hiroshi feared and it was only a matter of time before Leroy initiated the chaos on his mind.
Lifting a food tray as soon as he was in the dining area he cried out "Food fight!" With that cry Leroy chucked the food into the crowd hitting a Gazimon in the back of the head the food dripping down his back. The yell caused Hiroshi to run out into the dining area just in time to witness the Gazimon throw his tray of food and shortly after that food was flying all over the place. In the middle of the fracas was the living embodiment of chaos himself and his twin brother, Leroy, was fully involved in the food fight throwing food and clearly enjoying the trouble he caused.
"Damn it, Leroy!" Hiroshi yelled above the insanity around him and somehow catching Leroy's attention. Leroy had a shameless mischievous smirk on his face as his twin marched through the flying food toward him. By the time Hiroshi got to his twin his pink scales were covered in splotches of food as well as his mohawk which had what looked like mashed potatoes and gravy covering it so its original red color was no longer distinguishable anymore.
Leroy took one look at the mess Hiroshi became and couldn't help but erupt into laughter. Hiroshi crossed his arms and glared at his brother which only made the Shoutmon laugh harder. Eventually Leroy stopped laughing and looked into Hiroshi's angry blue eyes and said "Sorry, bro. I didn't mean for you to get caught up in this. I was just trying to liven things up a little."
"Liven things up? Seriously, Leroy. We're not Fresh or In-training digimon anymore and the idea was to make money not cause chaos in your wake." Hiroshi sighed before he continued "As things are now it will be lucky if we even get any money never mind find work in Rosewood again."
With that Hiroshi grabbed Leroy by his tail and dragged his brother into the kitchen and got to work on sorting out the chaos his brother caused. After talking some sense into the digmon and putting Leroy on cleanup detail, he went back to cooking and also started bringing food to the workers. Eventually Leroy finished cleaning and took over bringing out the food. Well all the cleaning that didn't decorate other digimon, that is. It seemed Hurricane Leroy had been subdued and all Hiroshi could feel was relief. Though he loved his brother, Leroy proved to be hard to manage at times making him miss the days when Leroy was a shy Babydmon.
Shaking his head he went back to work. The food had dried to his scalp and was becoming itchy. He looked at Leroy noticing, to much annoyance, that barely any food was stuck to his brother's fur. Grinning, he grabbed a glob of food off his body and lobbed it at his brother. It connected with the back of Leroy's head with a satisfying splat and Leroy glanced at Hiroshi in surprise before he said "What was it you said about us not being Fresh or In-training digimon?" he said with amusement in his voice before he continued "I guess that I deserved that for making you upset, Hiroshi. I hope you understand that I tried as long as I could to be patient."
"I know you tried but maybe in time you'll remember how to be patient." he smiled as he continued "Which is why I'm not mad at you anymore. Looks like we might get paid too."
Eventually the work day drew to a close with no further trouble it seemed as the digimon they were serving didn't say anything about Leroy starting a food fight. So afterwards the twinned duo headed out of town to spar like Hiroshi promised.
