ONWARD TO A BRAVE NEW WORLD [PRIVATE, FAUSTEIN, STACY]

As people went this man was certainly puzzling. One moment his was a zombie like being on a mission to snuggle with her tail and now he seemed to be normal. Or maybe both states were normal, at this point Stacy had no idea. He seemed the strangest man she'd been around. Considering some people she grew up with, that was saying something. That and he seemed to be sorry for his behavior so she said "It's alright. I'm not mad but if this behavior involving snuggling furry creatures is normal for you, you might want to keep it under control."
Perhaps there were no passengers getting off and Trailmon was waiting for them to board but he was currently very quiet. At least the silence didn't last long. "Hey are you humans boarding or not?"
"So you coming on board?" Stacy asked the stranger as she headed toward the train. "We will be heading to another world."

He had been about to reply when he heard the living train thing cut in with an inquiry as to whether they were boarding or not.
"Oh my apologies, Mr. Train. We're going to board shortly."
In response, the woman who he had been interacting with had proceeded to move towards the train as if it were completely normal to ride what seemed to be a living train. That said, considering that she seemed to have a strange ability to transform into some kind of floofy wolf creature, he surmised that such instances were more or less the norm for her. He had been thinking about this ability of hers and trying to compile all the various bits of data he had acuired from the situation when his thoughts were interrupted yet again, this time by the woman who was asking him if he was going to board as well
"Hmm? Oh yes, indeed. I would be honored to venture into this brave new world you are referring to, miss."
With that, he fell silent and at a swift pace, he crossed the platform and within minutes, he had boarded the living train along with his new acquaintance, the wolf woman. Once inside, since he couldn't hold his curiosity back, he asked her
"So, this new world you mentioned...mind enlightening me on the details, miss? It sounds prodigiously enthralling to me and I would very much like to learn as much as I can before we reach there."

Stacy boarded the train with the odd stranger and he began to ask her about the world they were headed for. She wondered how she would explain this when she herself didn't know that much about digimon or the world they came from. One could say she only seemed to know just enough to get by seeing as she hadn't seen that many species of digimon compared to some other humans that visited the Digital World on a regular basis. Now she was guiding another person who had no protection from aggressive digimon so she had to make sure he would be alright until he found his partner.
"Well I myself don't know a lot about this place. What I do know is that this place is called the Digital World and it seems to have a curious connection with our own world. The Digital World is inhabited by many different species of creatures known as digimon, which is short for digital monsters. This train we are on is one of those digimon and is called Trailmon. I became a holy digimon known as Hinookamimon."

He listened silently to the woman's narrative, taking in any and all details he could in the hope that it would shed some light on his situation
How very surreal...it almost feels like I am a participant in one of those sci-fi tales...still, the fact that it is actually occurring is incontrovertible, I suppose...
He asked about the connection between the world she mentioned, as he was curious about which came first
"I see...I do have a fair few questions, of course...but, let's start with the first, shall we? You speak of a connection between our realm and this...Digital World, but would you perhaps know how it came to exist? Also, pardon me for being forward, but how exactly did you transform into that wolf like creature...Hinookamimon, was it?"
There was a massive amount of data that was flowing in through his senses and with each new revelation, came ever more questions. He had always been an inquisitive man, so he supposed it was only natural that his curiosity be hooked on such a fascinating subject as a whole new world with seemingly endless mystery about it. He paused there, and looked about the train and the insides certainly seemed inorganic enough as was the exterior from his observations of it earlier. Then, he had another query for her
"You say this train is a...digimon...and that the one you morphed into is one as well. How many species of these entities exist if I may ask?"

The stranger seemed fascinated by the information she was giving, him not like that was a surprise to Stacy, seeing as he seemed to be seeking knowledge even if he came off as some what crazy. As more questions were asked she sat down on one of the seats and thought about how to most effectively answer his questions.
"When it comes to the worlds being connected, I'm not sure why or how it came to be. Yet, there seem to be a few gateways in Shibuya to the Digital World even if this is train station is the only one I know about. As for how I can become Hinookamimon, I can utilize the spirit of a dead digimon to spirit evolve to that form and two others. Although one of them is an incomplete and slightly weaker version of the other. As for your last question, I'm sorry but I don't know how many species there are since I haven't seen many."

As he sat opposite the woman and listened intently, the information he was receiving from her fascinated him greatly. This was starting to sound like his life's dream, namely the eternal quest to unlock the secrets of the world around him. After all, he was apparently to a place which was hithertofore unknown to him
How very delightful...the idea that such a brave new world can exist...perhaps, just perhaps I will be able to find out the truth behind all those mysterious rumors and sightings in Shibuya that happened not too long ago...
He thought, his mental gears practically whirring with excitement at this chance to enter this unfamiliar realm. After she finished, he picked up the conversation
"Hmm, I see...it would be quite the intriguing topic for me to study...the origins of this Digital World, that is...and its denizens as well."
He paused there for a few seconds to collect his thoughts before proceeding
"Spirit of a dead digimon, eh?...so, am I correct in surmising that strange device in your possession is what allows you to transform like that?"
He asked, hoping to learn more about the mysterious looking device she had shown him back on the platform. However, before he could question her any further, the train came to a screeching halt and he was just barely able to hang on to his seat and not go tumbling forward. Then, as he was wondering what could have caused the inexplicable halt, the answer showed up as if on cue. Some entity that looked like a robotic bipedal insectoid come aboard, seemingly in need of help for some reason. As he watched, the entity first looked around, and upon spotting him and his new acquaintance, it came up to them and started to explain the reason its presence on the train.
"Organics detected...proceeding to engage conversation protocol...SOS...this unit, codenamed Kokuwamon, hereby requests the assistance of you organics to restore its ally to its former operational state."
This was a truly strange looking entity, at least to him. Its design reminded him of the insect in the human world called the stag beetle. It was a robotic entity with four arms with hand clamp-like chela at the end of the first pair and plugs at the end of the second pair. Its head was shaped like a taser and it had plugs in its shoulders. Lastly, It had a pair of metal wings on its back and red colored parts on the brachium of its first pair of arms and its thighs.

Stacy had to admit that the Digital World, heck even the digimon themselves were fascinating to her as well, but she herself knew very little. One thing she did understand was that digimon were living creatures that were more powerful than humans even in the rookie form.
"Yes this device is called a D-Tector and the form you saw me become, you know Hinookamimon, was only the weakest form I can transform to. The next one is a slightly weaker version of my strongest form and they are both called Blitzwolfmon." was the man's intelligence why he was so easy for her to talk to or was it his eccentric nature that fascinated her. Despite how odd he was, she had a feeling that he wasn't some evil nutcase so talking to him was alright. That and he made this day far from boring.
When the Trailmon suddenly stopped Stacy was able to use her legs to brace herself at the sudden stop and it seemed the stranger had managed as well. When a distressed digimon stumbled onto the train Stacy stood up, wobbling a bit before regaining her balance, and approached the digimon. She then kneeled down to its eye level to communicate with it. This digimon, despite its robotic nature, was kind of cute.
"Where is your ally, little guy?" Stacy asked in a calm and unthreatening way. She figured she may as try to communicate in a way the digimon might feel most comfortable.

Faustein watched silently after the strange robotic entity had finished as the woman got out of her seat and knelt down to eye level while asking said entity about the location of its alleged ally.
Hmm...I suppose that's how's one is supposed to approach one of these strange beings...oh well, just one more aspect of this new experience for me to learn, I guess...
He mused before following suit and kneeling down besides the woman so that he too was at eye level with the robotic insect-like entity which called itself as "Kokuwamon". A few moments afterward, something inexplicable happened again. The mysterious device that had been inert for all intents and purposes, now began to emit an ominous crimson red light from its screen and beeping noises began to issue forth from it as well. Before he could do anything else, it rose up out of his pocket, seemingly floating through the air as if by some anti-gravity mechanism until it came to a stop at a point in the air several inches above the Kokuwamon. It shot a crimson red beam of light at the Kokuwamon's thoracic region, specifically at the hexagonal plate embedded in that section. A few second passed, during which the device emitting a series of beeing noises similar to how a digital device would if it were compiling data or calculating something. Then, an electronic voice, presumably female from what he could tell from a quick vocal analysis, was broadcast from the device
"Digimon identified...Unit ID...Kokuwamon...Xros Twin Core Partner #1 found...now searching for compatible general..."
After that, a similar crimson red beam of light shot out of the device and swept through the rest of the train. Finally, it landed squarely on his chest, right above where his heart was, seemingly through his clothing. In response, despite his trying to suppress it, he still ended up wincing slightly from the burning sensation he felt from the light beam. However, his composure held strong, so he merely wondered aloud with a mostly impassive facial expression, although his eyes glinted slightly with the light of curiosity
"Well now...what have we here?...this is rather intriguing..."
After a few minutes, the electronic female voice from the device sounded again, as if announcing its findings
"Compatible general detected...DNA signature registered...initiating binding link process..."

Stacy was surprised when the stranger's device activated since up until now it was dormant. She tumbled back landing on her butt as the device sent a beam of light at Kokuwamon. After all that was over Stacy said "It sounds like you were meant to be partnered with twins but what's a Xros?"
Poor Stacy was puzzled then another thought of hers was spoken aloud "And where's this little guys' sibling?"
Even among humans twins usually stayed in contact with each other so Stacy found this concerning. She hoped Kokuwamon's twin wasn't injured or held hostage. She had no idea how twin digimon worked since her experience with twins was very limited.

As his device carried out the binding link process, Faustein watched the scene unfold silently as he didn't want to look out of his depth as he had earlier. Even when the woman next to him fell over backward , his face remained rather impassive and when she remarked that he was supposed to be connected to the digimon he now knew to be Kokuwamon, he merely nodded and nonchalantly mused aloud
"I see...well well, the plot thickens...I wonder what will happen henceforth..."
Of course, his facial muscles remained quite still, but if any were to look closely at his striking crimson red eyes, they would have seen the glow of his curiosity and excitement growing more prominent by the minute. After a few more minutes, the device beeped once more and the electronic voice sounded once more
"Binding link established with partner unit #1...now searching for partner unit #2...error 404...search target not found..."
Then, just as quickly as the device activated, it stopped all its activity, turned off and fell back down onto his lap. Then, he picked up the device and examined it to see if he could determine anything in the aftermath of all that activity, but since he couldn't, instead he responded to the woman's concerned thought
"Well, I strongly suspect that our new robotic companion here will guide us to whatever location its linked unit is situated at presently...so then...Kokuwamon, was it?...Without further ado...let's us commence...Operation Verdande!!"
He said this all while standing up, turning about on the heel of his patent leather formal shoes, and pushing his Google Glasses up so that they glinted in the light coming from the train's inner lighting while pointing theatrically forward, far off into the distance as he struck a dramatic pose. Then, he fell silent and waited for his audience's response
Perhaps it was the nature of Kokuwamon as one of the robotic digimon, but through all this, it remained completely expressionless. At the end, its only response was a really prolonged blinking action and a short statement and question
"Does not compute...Query...what is a Verdande?"

When the device fell in the stranger's lap after apparently trying to scan for Kokuwamon's twin and being unsuccessful Stacy said "The plot thickens indeed."
It seemed things involving this curious but odd stranger were only getting more interesting. Maybe it was Stacy's inherent curiosity that had her going along with this. It seemed her curiosity was a match for the stranger's. Whether that was a good thing or not was up to interpretation at this point.
'Man anyone who would be watching all this might be puzzled. No wonder Trailmon thinks humans are strange.' Stacy thought with a brief shake of her head as she got up on her feet slowly and somewhat clumsily. She was definitely less clumsy as a digimon, that's for sure.
At Kokuwamon's question Stacy shrugged and said "Don't look at me. The only language I speak fluently is English."

At encountering a lack of the sort of response he expected, Faustein let out a long sigh and slumped briefly. A few moments afterward, though he turned to them and asked with a quizzical 30 degree tilt of his head, causing his seemingly gravity defying hair to swish about
"Good grief...what is it like in those curious little heads of yours?...It must be so boring in there...ah well.."
He paused to collect his thoughts and regain his composure after which he spoke in a more normal tone
"No matter, let's be off then, shall we, comrades? Lead on, Kokuwamon."
This time, the Kokuwamon nodded, turned around and proceeded towards the exit. Faustein followed Kokuwamon, but as he neared the door leading out of the living train, he called out to it
"Change of plans, Mr. Train. We'll be disembarking here. You have my gratitude for bringing us this far."
Then, he turned to Stacy and asked the obvious question
"And how about you, mademoiselle? Two head would be better than one in this situation as they would be in most others..."

What goes on in her head? That was a loaded question as her mind was little more than a chaotic stream of thoughts, some of them getting loose at inappropriate times but this was something neither the stranger or Kokuwamon needed to know since they didn't know each other. All she was focused on was that the little digimon needed help and though the stranger was technically no longer easy pickings with Kokuwamon around, she still wanted to help out.
"I agree. This definitely is a situation where two heads are better than one considering some digimon can be hostile." Stacy had no idea why she said that but figured he needed to know what he was getting into. At least she could become a champion level form if things got a little too hot for Kokuwamon so she was sure things would be alright.

Faustein nodded in acknowledgement and then headed out of the living train and then stood next to his alleged partner, Kokuwamon. While waiting, he thought it best to do a preliminary scan of the surroundings with his Google Glasses, but to his surprise, the device seemed to be malfunctioning and at one point, it grew quite hot, and would have left a little mark on his temple, had he not removed it just in time. Of course, he had more pressing matters to attend to at the moment, so he kept calm and merely put the Glasses away in the pocket of his white coat.
"So, while we wait, can you provide me with any salient data regarding your twin unit, Kokuwamon?"
In response, the Kokuwamon emitted a beeping sound which was accompanied by a little spark of electricity jumping between the taser plug like horns on its head. Then, it spoke
"Query received...response protocol initiated...Twin Unit's Designation: "ShadowToyAgumon"...Situation Type: Chassis Malfunction and Breakdown...Recommended Action: Restoration of Unit Structural Integrity"
Then, it fell silent and both of them waited for the woman to disembark as well so that all three c ould be on their way.

Stacy had hopped off the train shortly after the man and, apparently, one of his partner digimon. At this point the Digital World wasn't that odd to her anymore. She watched as he brought out those glasses, which were strange to her, and after he seemed to get no information he pocketed them. Strange. Apparently certain devices didn't work or didn't work well here. Since the only thing that was ever in her backpack was medication, she wouldn't have known this. Shaking her head she quickly came along side the stranger but quietly, like a shadow.
Forgetting the stranger probably wasn't aware that she was right next to him she said "So your twin, ShadowAgumon, is hurt and that's why you risked hopping aboard Trailmon. You were looking for help. Then perhaps we should get going since ShadowAgumon might be in danger if it can't defend itself." She hated to be so impersonal but since she didn't know if ShadowAgumon was a male or female, heck she didn't know Kokuwamon's gender either, she decided to be as polite as someone in her situation could possibly be.
