Leroy awoke with a groan and sat up rubbing his blue eyes. The furry Shoutmon then stood and began stretching working the kinks out from sleeping on the floor of the cave he chose the night before. As his mind became alert he had a nagging suspicion something was missing and it felt weird. He was also getting an eerie feeling of feeling incomplete as well as great loneliness. It didn't feel good and he hoped it would fade soon since he was getting creeped out. He bent down to retrieve his microphone and spotted a small pink scale not far. Holding his microphone in one paw, he lifted the scale into his other paw so he could have a better look at it. Looking the pink scale he had a faint feeling of familiarity but didn't know why. He didn't know anyone with pink scales so why was this in the cave and why did it feel familiar. Dropping the scale he left the cave stepping into the sunshine. It was time to find food and he took off in a sprint following the smell of fish in a pond.
After fishing for a while he turned back to look at his catch. Somehow he had fished up enough food for two digimon. Why would he do that? He was alone so this behavior both confused and worried him. Leroy was beginning to think he was going crazy. After breakfast he took what he didn't eat back to the cave. He figured he could just eat it for lunch and stepped out of the cave again to begin training. Even that seemed unnatural as he was getting a feeling that he was supposed to have someone with him so he could spar but, if that were the case, where was this mystery being. He was starting to feel so lost and confused flopping down into a seated position no longer in the mood to train as the loneliness from before hadn't faded, it had only gotten worse and it was starting to eat at him. Why? What was he missing? Leroy moaned as he gripped his head in his paws after dropping his microphone in his lap.
Meanwhile, not far away, Hiroshi finally awoke and looked around. He could sense the distress of his brother but where was Leroy. Not just that where was he. Blue eyes fully alert, the scaley Cutemon glanced around him only seeing pitch black darkness around him. No sign of Leroy or any hint of where he even was now. Hiroshi decided to try something that seemed like a long shot. Calling out into the darkness, he yelled "Hello! Anyone out there!" He waited for a moment and when he thought nothing was out there he heard a robotic voice reply back but in an eerie whisper instead.
"Unfortunately for you, yes. My experiment is a success." Though only a whisper, with Hiroshi's ears, the words were heard loud and clear.
"Who are you? What experiment? What are you talking about? Where is my brother?" Hiroshi said rising to his feet looking around for the source of the echoing voice in the darkness.
"I am Gizumon. My experiment is to delete a digimon's memory and my master ordered it to be tried on twins. Your brother does not remember that you exist." said the unknown Gizumon as a see through image appeared before Hiroshi's eyes.
"He may not remember that I exist but your experiment is flawed because I sense his distress and he senses something is wrong. You know about how Twins share the same digi core. The emptiness he feels is the inability to sense me." Hiroshi growled at the image while staring the mechanical monster down.
My experiment is perfect, and I care not about the well fare of your freakish twin." Gizumon replied coldly fading from view.
Being called freakish would of potentially sent Leroy into a frenzy but not Hiroshi. The level headed Cutemon had to reach his brother, but how, not only did Leroy not remember Hiroshi but the little pink digimon had no idea where he was. There was one thing he did know though, Leroy was close and there had to be a way to reach out to him. Pacing around for a few moments it suddenly hit him on a way he could reach his distressed twin and possibly lead him to Gizumon. That meant possibly riling Leroy but it would get the job done and he wouldn't envy the Gizumon when the furry Shoutmon began his mini rampage.
Calmly Hiroshi stood in the darkness that surrounded him and focused on tapping into their shared digi core. Hoping he could reach Leroy he concentrated until he sensed his brother. 'There you are. I hope this works.'
Meanwhile, with Leroy, the furry dragon jerked his head out of his paws. It was as if he heard a whisper from within him but why? Soon it was apparent it was coming from his digi core and the impatient dragon tapped into his limited reserve of patience and focus until the whisper became louder. However he couldn't hear what was being said he could feel it was coming from nearby. Why could he hear this presense? Was it because if the incomplete feeling he was having?
Following the pull Leroy noticing the whispers becoming louder and came into a clearing spotting a mechanical digimon standing near a strange dark colored device. He didn't know why but something was telling him that the dark colored device was the cause of his misery and in typical fashion for him, he charged past Gizumon towards the device roaring a battle cry and swinging his microphone. "Rock and Roller!" Leroy roared and, faster than Gizumon could react, the furry Shoutmon smashed the device with his microphone again and again until the device shattered to pieces. It seemed that the device not only served as Hiroshi's prison but the container for Leroy's missing memories. Leroy was dazed as the memories flew into him at once leaving him wide open for attack as Gizumon stretched one of its tentacles toward the furry Shoutmon in an attempt to strangle him.
Keep your tentacles to yourself you creep!" Hiroshi shouted as a ball of fire formed in his palm. "Fiery Fastball!" He then threw the fire at Gizumon causing the tentacles to catch ablaze. The Gizumon squeaked in fury and started to flee causing Leroy to give chase swinging his mic.
"Game over ugly!" Leroy yelled bringing the mic to his mouth and yelled "Bellow Blaster!" Waves of amplified energy erupted from the microphone making contact with Gizumon causing it to short out and fall to the ground.
After the threat was over Leroy went over to hug Hiroshi and mentioned the food he was storing. With that the two of them left the Gizumon where it lay and, after the food was eaten, would leave the area for other adventures.
