So... this was the digital world, huh? It was both relieving, but eerie as to how similar it was to Earth. Agent Tiger was motionless for a few moments as she emerged from the digital portal that had linked her to this world. Namely because of the significance that she was one of the few humans to stand on another planet.
"Jiro, realize." she said, holding up her specially crafted digivice, and in a rush of data, a teal and white Dracomon-X emerged, equally astonished at their surroundings.
The DATS Agent and her partner had emerged in the heart of Terminus City, thankfully in a discreet alleyway. So as to not draw attention to herself, Agent Tiger was dressed in a more casual attire, but still utilitarian enough for the task at hand, wearing a dark green jacket, black cargo pants and comfortable boots.
"It's just how I remember it..." Jiro remarked suddenly as they emerged from the alley. Tiger sighed, knowing what he meant by that. Jiro had once walked these streets with his old partner - her son Kazuo, but, those days were over now as far as she knew. She shook her head, knowing they were on a mission. Resident digimon looked at her and Jiro curiously, but none identified them as a DATS agent and partner.
"Do you remember where the station is?" she asked her partner. Jiro looked around for a few moments, then recognized where they were meant to go.
"There it is." he said, and led her into the Terminus City train station. Here it was a bustling centre of activity. But Tiger ignored most of it and moved briskly toward her goal.
The situation had been able to be jury-rigged quick enough. Even though DATS made it a point not to run operations in the digital world, circumstances had given them no other choice. All three levels of Shibuya Station were occupied by hostile digimon, and as far as intelligence had told them, they had secured the lowest floor - the Trailmon Terminal, as their base of operations. Commander Hashimoto then tasked Agent Tiger to go to the digital world and lead a surprise attack against them. Thanks to the cooperation of an AEGIS agent named Enkidu, they had managed to hire a Battle Armament Trailmon to assist them in the journey from Terminus to Shibuya, and conduct their operation.
Tiger followed the directions given to her, until she eventually came to the platform where the Battle Armament Trailmon was waiting for them. She tried not to be amazed at seeing the giant machine digimon, and instead spoke the password. "All sold out of tickets for the Shibuya Express?" she asked.
"Not at all. Just enough room left." came the reply. "Welcome, Agent Tiger. Enkidu briefed me on the situation already. Seems there's trouble in the human world, eh? Not to worry, I take my assignments seriously, I'll get you there."
"That quickly?" Tiger asked, amazed. It had only been a few minutes after all.
"Time travels differently on the digital world." the Trailmon explained. "So then, I take it you're expecting others?"
"Yes." Agent Tiger said, turning around, meaning to wait for others to approach. As they did so, she would beckon them onto the armored carriage the Trailmon was hauling, where they would then begin their briefing for the operation ahead.

The message for help came and while Zachary had mixed feelings of DATS agents due to what tangles he had with their rules and methods, the message appeared sincere and serious. But he knew he had to respond not just on his feelings alone, and so did Panthermon too wanted Zachary to act. If it affected either world, they had to do their part. They had to help.
That was one of the reasons they agreed to form NEXUS, for both worlds.
Using the Data Gate from NEXUS, Zachary and Panthermon appeared in a shimmer of light near the Trailmon station in Terminus. It had been some time since they been there. No doubt Cion wouldn't like gracing this place again with her presence, but this was an emergency. Surely they would be along soon enough. He had forward the message to members of NEXUS and agreed to answer. Only time would tell.
Taking out his Digivice SYNCRO, Zachary flipped the flip-phone, smart-phone styled Digivice open and it lights up with a holographic display. "Logan you there? We arrived in Terminus and heading for the Trailmon. Will you be able to track us through its travel?"
"I read you loud and clear. Shouldn't be a problem," the holographic display of a blonde kid with glasses appeared. "Keep audio open just in case and I can track your positions. So long as there is no signal interference, it should be fine. We are ready."
"Roger that, so don't screw up!" Another voice spoke, and the face of "Datamon" appeared, pushing Logan out of the way. "Ya better not scratch the new gear we gave you, google head! Do that and I'll post embarrassing photos of you and pussycat there all over the internet!"
Zachary frowned and Panthermon growled. "Zip it, scrap metal. I swear your about as bad as Starmon."
Zachary rolled his eyes and Logan just gave a nervous chuckle. "Eh... Anyway, the others should be en route. Meet at the meeting spot. " Logan replied.
Zachary nodded and snapped the D-Sync shut and put it into his pocket. "Let's go, Panthermon," Zachary encouraged and with a tug up from his jacket, the X-antibody logo on the back and breast pocket, the two ran for the Trailmon platform.
It didn't take long to get there. As they reached the platform, they saw the older woman before the Trailmon. Clearly she was a human, and beside her was an unusual Dragon-like Digimon. One Zachary had never seen before. He opened the Digivice, and another holographic screen appeared-- revealing it to be an X-antibody version of "Dracomon". It was an impressive partner, that was sure.
Though still on guard for members of DATS, Panthermon approached with Zachary. "Excuse me, are you the one from the message who called for assistance?" Zachary asked, not wanting to single her out as DATS too soon. He stood there cautiously, but not unfriendly towards her. "I go by Zaber, from the Tamernet." he introduced.
Panthermon gave a soft growl of caution, unsure what to expect of the dangers they would soon face.

DATS, Shibuya, humans, digimons, evil, good, incidents... these attributes seemed to be the most prominent lately - aside from the whole fiasco that was the apparently long-winded return of the demon lords. However, as phlegmatic as it sounded, they were hardly of concern to the unassuming ascendant. Though unusually frequent the last years, the current generation always had a tendency to consider their own calamities as cataclysmic and beyond comparison. To Cion, even a hostage-taking had become a mundane, repetitive event. Not that she did not take such occurrences seriously. Quite the opposite was the case. Nonetheless, she was experienced in dealing with them adequately and calmly.
Hence she heeded the call of duty that was shared by the leader of Nexus. He was a boy who she considered a pupil with the potential to be an unrivaled prodigy. That was why she often acted as a mentor for him, but never a force who controlled him outright. The management of the organization he had founded, including its members, was his aspiration to pursue, and nobody else's. She was merely there to assist as a guiding hand and well of wide experience if needed or wished. Additionally, she enjoyed observing his performance and progress whenever possible. A rescue operation was certainly pertinent.
Ignoring the temptations and vices of the metropolis called Terminus, the small fennec quietly arrived at the designated rendezvous, which was the Terminal. It was with graceful strides that the silver mammal approached the group which had already gathered, which included an armed Trailmon. Blinking with her signature, confident smile, she strolled past her acquaintances to make her presence known. Briefly adjusting her short, green scarf, she bowed to them as it was becoming to both a gentlewoman and a professional. "Agent Tiger. Agent Jiro. Director Scryer. Meyser Shadow... pleased to meet ye again."

And you're sure getting involved in this is a good idea?
Either way, we'll at least be able to keep tabs on DATS directly like this. Honestly, this sort of set-up was a tad risky, to say the least. As far as Denryu could see, there were three possibilities, each with their own set of problems:
One: the Data Squad actually did need assistance in dealing with the threat at hand. This in itself would at least be somewhat problematic for DATS to say, as it would be more-or-less a practical admission that they did not have the resources to handle their mission - either meaning they were understaffed, or underestimated the ability of the Digital World to strike back against them.
Two, DATS blew the situation out of proportion, to assess the skills and alignment of the 'Chosen' that they had run into before. In this case, at best, DATS was looking for a bit of insurance in regards to the situation, and perhaps they wanted to create a net of 'trusted tamers' to assist with upcoming problems. At worst, it was an impromptu character assessment made by someone at DATS to try and validate their own flawed viewpoints.
Three, DATS was purposefully gathering them all at one place, for the purposes of an ambush. Denryu couldn't discount the possibility that the 'commander' or 'mastermind', whoever he was, had their hands in both pots, and was simply using this as a means to get rid of a lot of problems at once.
Despite, this, however, Denryu took up the offer to help. If he could trust any member of DATS, he could trust Machine - and Hackmon, as his partner, held a near equal level of trust. It didn't take long for another portal to open in the 'drop-off' area, and Denryu, wearing a simple white blazer and blue slacks, gave a nod towards 'Tiger' as he was beckoned to the armored car. Behind him was a somewhat-ragged, somewhat-feral looking rookie-level Renamon, tensely but calmly walking behind the Xros General.
"Don't mind her for now," Denryu cautioned, "she tends to be restless below X-2. I'm Denryu, she's Angel."
"Come in rookie, he said..." The fox gave a frustrated growl, but kept her complaints mostly to herself. It didn't take them long to move right along, the general leaning against the side of the car, idly scratching Angel's back as she slouched next to him. The fox herself had her eyes flick from the Dracomon, to the Panthermon, then towards Zachary, then finally towards Cion.
... Neither of them really seemed like the friendly type. Still, Angel gave a low, calm nod towards the fennec, at least, silently acknowledging a temporary extension of their truce.

Stacy arrived at Terminus in her Human Spirit of Blitzwolfmon. After hearing of the hostage situation she was more than likely to respond. Though the only thing she heard of DATS was unpleasant rumors, she was more than willing to put such negative feelings aside for the sake of the innocent people. If the DATS agent proved a threat to her, as a digimon, as a digimon she was more than fast enough to hot foot it out of there.
Soon she made it too the meeting point glad that the mask she wore as Blitzwolfmon hid the uneasiness toward one of the humans that her eyes would of given away. Perhaps her mistrust of one of the humans was spawned by her digimon instincts, who knew? Now there was work to be done. Approaching the group she said "Hello. I'm here to assist with the hostage situation. I am called Blitzwolfmon." It was normal for her to honor the digimon she drew power from by referring to herself by the name of the species.

The industrious nature of Terminus never ceased to amaze Viktor. Day or night, rain or shine; the city was always moving. It was easy to get lost in the crowd, to be taken in by the sights of city and what it offered. From the many stores that lined the streets to the businesses that resided above them, if you weren’t careful, you’d end up being taken in by this constantly bustling city. In a way, that is exactly what happened to Viktor.
The multi-tailed fox leaned down from his elevated position just above the Trailmon Terminal, watching those that entered his district without consent or permission from the Terminus government with disdain. A few days ago, one of his Datamon that worked in the office intercepted a transmission that was a rally cry, a plan to attack something in Tokyo from behind. Viktor couldn’t deny the validity of the plan, it was always smart to hit something when they were least expecting it and from an area they thought secured. “Domino effect” as they say.
At first, the plan was to arrest those who entered illegally then hand them off to processing and be done with it. But... as Viktor read and listened to the message, he took interest. Not in stopping the attack in Tokyo, but in DATS’ desperation. He reported the plan to the District Governors and made the case that if an enemy held the human side of the terminal, it was only a matter of time before Terminus’ side would come under attack. His superiors agreed, but only he and Genesis were allowed to participate. The usual Knightmon and other response force would hold the line in the event they failed. But for now they’d hold fast due to the understanding that a few powerful Digimon were on site. They figured a Digimon as powerful as The Ronin should suffice to at least liaison!
Kajunemon gave a stark, abhorrent sigh as he leapt from his perched position and landed with a surprising amount of grace for the size he was. He signaled to the cameras of the ever watching eye that was Terminus’ Response force. Should anything go wrong, they would start their procedures as instructed. Those who lived in Terminus knew why this fox was there, and they were quick to clear from the area as he approached.
”Set your perimeter, overwatch. I’ve entered.”
It was a fairly simple set up; Kajunemon goes in, helps DATS get into their fight and a small team would set up to keep anyone not Kajunemon from getting out. It wasn’t an army by any stretch of the imagination, but it was just enough to defend the terminal before the Terminus’ defenses could come into play. If the those on the other side came through with ill intent, they would be met with a swift response. The citizens knew what this terminal was, so an Enforcer moving around it wasn’t anything new.
By now, the group congregating at the Trailmon had to have seen the six-tailed Kitsune making a path straight towards them. With the crowds dissipating, it would become even more apparent. The fox stopped just shy of them;
”Terminus Code 18, Title 5 of Chapter 6. Trespassing and evading Enforcement Teams. Punishable with up to 6 years confinement or a fine of thirty five thousand bits or both. Let us not even speak of what the laws says on armed Trailmons.”
The fox watched the group, then looking to agent Tiger, ”But... given the threat that this poses to the city and it’s infrastructure, my employers are willing to overlook the small transgressions.”
The Kitsune brought his hands together and took a deep breath in, then out... almost instantly five of his tails vanished, and his stout, muscular form shifted to that of a lithe more lean one. He looked back to the forces and nodded;
”Overwatch, keep your ears open. If I do not return, assume hostile.”
He looked to the DATS agent and squeeze himself off with her, ”This is my city. My District. I have a vested interest in assisting you in this.”
He turned to the group in the train, ”Make no mistake. Without my return or word for an all clear. Terminus will treat you as hostile. We are not friends, you are assets.”
He entered into the train and took a seat, concentrating to break from his form of Kajunemon before the departed. He made it clear he was on their side but he was no ally. To him, this was only another job.
”If this goes well, I’ll see you are all rewarded.” he crossed his arms, still working on separating his form!
The pieces were in place. Now it was a matter of starting the game.

“John I don’t think this is a good idea.” The Viximon said, as far into the backpack as she could manage, getting a sigh from John. “You read the announcement Runa, this could be a big problem, people and digimon could get hurt.” he whispered to her. “Or it could be a trap to lure in people who won’t get with their program, I don’t trust it.” John shook his head, “Well if there’s a chance this could be real, we need to help, besides I can’t just let Zaber and Cion walk into this situation by themselves, not now that I told them we’d come with.”
Runa sighs, “Fine, but at least be on guard, alright?” she asked getting a nod from John. John was already on high alert, he didn’t show it but he shared Runa’s doubts about this supposed hostile digimon, but he wanted to believe that DATS would not resort to a trick like this, so he was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
When they arrived at the meeting place, he paused for a moment as he was a little suspicious of the armored cage, but pressed on. Walking in he saw that Zaber and Cion where already there, he calmly walked to them, waving. “Hey guys, I assume this is the place?” He asked.
Runa decided to stay hidden in the backpack, she wanted to be kept anonymous until they knew more, so on her request, John didn’t mention her when he signed up for this mission, and they talked privately with the other Nexus members to not say anything about her until she felt it was necessary.

As they waited, Agent Tiger and Jiro were soon approached by others. The first to arrive was a young man that went by the name "Zaber", accompanied by a black feline digimon. He asked if they were the ones that sent out the call for assistance.
"Yes, that's us." the woman replied. "I'll fill you in on the details in the carriage."
Next to arrive was a familiar face. "Ah, Cion, good to see you here." Tiger said with a smile. She had worked with her before and found her to be a trustworthy digimon. Jiro smiled a little too as he recognized her.
Following her, next was a standoffish looking young man accompanied by a feral looking Renamon. They introduced themselves as Denryu and Angel. While not looking friendly, Tiger still acknowledged them. "Glad that you're here."
After that, there was a humanoid digimon about the same height as Tiger. The DATS agent wondered if this was a spirit wielder, but she supposed it would be improper to ask such a thing unprompted. "Hello, Blitzwolfmon." she said instead.
The next to arrive made Tiger freeze up with shock for a moment and made Jiro somewhat intimidated. The Dracomon-X sensed that this was a very powerful digimon indeed, something that not even he might be able to handle. Eventually, however, Tiger regained her composure. "I apologize if what we've arranged here has broken any of the rules of this city. But given what you know of the situation, we've had to act fast. I assure you, we intend no harm here, in fact we aim to return to the human world as soon as possible." she explained.
While neither of them could tell what level Viktor was initially, they could tell that there were some very powerful digimon indeed within the digital world. There was no way DATS could mess with this place even if they wanted to. And so for now she was grateful for DATS holding a non-intervention policy in regards to it.
Last to arrive was a boy with a backpack. Agent Tiger was about to question what he was doing here without a digimon, but then noted that he knew Zaber and Cion, so he was probably adequate for the task.
"Alright, now that we're all here, let's board." she said. "Don't worry, we're not leaving until you agree to the plan, feel free to step out if you don't want to take part. But once we do leave, you're in this for the long haul."
Once aboard the carriage, set up like something of a conference room, Agent Tiger would then activate a projector against a white screen that rolled down from the ceiling for a presentation.
"Hello everyone. My name is Agent Tiger of DATS, and this is my partner Jiro. The situation is this." she said, presenting the first slide as a diagram of Shibuya Station. "A large number of hostile digimon between the levels of Champion and Ultimate have made an incursion into the human world. So far they have taken control of three levels of Shibuya Station - the ground level, the subway level and the Trailmon platform. The number and type of hostages is currently unknown, but is estimated to be roughly a dozen on each floor. So far there have been no casualties, and we want it to stay that way."
She then advanced to the next slide, which showed a diagram of what was described to her as the "backroute". Basically, using the fact that Shibuya Station could be accessed from the digital world to their advantage, striking hard where the enemy may not be expecting.
"Our plan is simple. Infiltrate Shibuya Station from the Trailmon platform, rescue any hostages we find, and neutralize the enemy threat."
The next slide showed a detailed picture of the Trailmon platform. While underground, it was relatively spatious, the ceiling about 100 feet high. The length of the platform was roughly 500 feet, and overall the room was about 100 feet wide. The elevator to the surface as well as various amenities one might expect to find on a train platform were also present.
"Before we can finalize the plan though, we need to know about you and your combat capabilities." Jiro would then add. "So, could you please tell us before we can continue? Oh, also, if you don't know already, once we enter the human world, you'll be limited to your Ultimate levels."

Post by Zachary "Zaber" Scryer on Apr 10, 2020 14:12:36 GMT
Zachary waited as each one in their own time arrived. He kept his hands in his jacket pocket while making sure the audio link with Logan and Datamon was still open to listen in and monitor them.
Cion soon joined them and Zachary smiled at her. She was their most dependable member, especially since she was a solo Digimon. He always felt more sure of himself with her backing him up. "Hey there, Cion. Um, no reason to be so formal?" Zachary greeted with a wave to her and a smile. What was surprising, was that this 'Agent Tiger' knew Cion? His eyes went wide and Panthermon exchanged looks between them. "Cion... you know this person? Is she trustworthy?" he couldn't help but ask.
The next to arrive was a person of similar composure to Zachary's own-- guarded and rigid on a fair day. He had white hair and steely eyes, accompanied by a Renamon. The Renamon growled a bit, but he kept her in check. With tensions so high, especially with Dats it wasn't hard to imagine people being on edge, especially other Digimon. He introduced himself as Denryu and Angel as his partner. In the interest to ease things up, Zachary approached Denryu and gave him a cool and kind smile. "No worries. We are all a bit worked up. Nice to meet you," Zachary said and extended a hand to shake his in a friendly gesture. "I'm Zaber and this is Panthermon. We are from NEXUS, same with Cion and John here to help out. I hope we can work well together." His attempt to break the ice was sincere, despite the appearance they held. Guarded but not unkind. Working together, in a time like this, was always important. In the end, Zachary just had a good feeling about this guy.
Next came an unusual Digimon named Blitzwolfmon, who appeared to be a solo Digimon from his view of him. It was unusual for Zachary to meet many active adventuring Solo Digimon, but he was always thrilled to meet them.
The one after was a bit more hostile as he had issues how they all teleported into Terminus like that. Zachary was taken aback by it. "Note to self. Don't use Datagate to enter Terminus. Check," he replied, also verbally for Datamon to know about that little rule.
"Aw, tell him to bite my shiny metal--"
Static came over Zachary's audio as it also sounded like Logan controlling his Digimon by placing his hand over the machine's mouth. "We will try reprogramming the gate's aim. Hehe..."
Zachary could only roll his eyes at Datamon's lack of respect for authority, but they did make NEXUS due to the concept of how authority restricted their sense of unity too. But that was a civil rights argument for another time. For now, he remained friendly at the law officer fox. "Officer, you do know we are on your side, right? None of us want this altercation to fight Digimon if it can be helped. We just want to help resolve this." he said.
Finally, John did arrive, presuming with Runa hidden in his backpack. Zachary felt very happy to see some of his members had responded to his message. John and Runa were a younger duo but we're dedicated to NEXUS' goals for unity between Digimon and Humans. So whenever they were around, he felt sure he did the right thing forming this group. "Good to see you John. Thanks for coming!" Even if this had an alterer motive concocted by Dats, together-- Zachary felt confident they would come out okay.
Panthermon looked around, clearly seeing the abundance of fox-digimon around. "Well, what an unusual array of foxy characters we have here," he said. Zachary glanced at him, the cat's tone seeming a bit.. flirtatious even if not intended, which made the cat look back to his partner. "What? It's just an observation."
Zachary just rolled his eyes again and let it pass. The cat was so unnaturally smooth sometimes it made him jealous.
With everyone there, they boarded the train, which appeared like an overly built tank. Trailmons were so varied and confusing to Zachary, but he and Panthermon hopped in with the rest. As they listened to agent Tiger and her quick analysis of the situation. They were using the Trailmon station to get to the real world and help stop the Digimon who invaded the Shibuya station. It was hard to imagine it happened, but it did. He kept quiet for the moment as Panthermon sat on one of the cushions of the train car, listening though he appeared to seem asleep. Cats, what could you do?
"Did they make any demands or reasons for this? I want to be sure their intentions are truly hostile before we go in prepared to go in guns blazing. As you said, they have hostages, so I doubt this is something done by 'wild digimon' who can't really hold a conversation." Zachary asked, being sure that a fight was the correct approach. If anything is on the Demon Lord missions taught him, was that fighting wasn't always the first solution.
Whether or not peace was any possibility here, Zachary would follow unless it went against his personal ethics and that of NEXUS. As the conversation turned to themselves and their battle capabilities, Panthermon exchanged a glance with Zachary, before making a very cat-like yawn. "Well, I will admit that limited to Ultimate is a bummer, but understandable. We recently reached a new level, I think they call Mega. But it's fine. Jaguamon and Panthermon's other forms can freely fit any situation. Plus, we tend to use Digi-cards to help. We are kind of a jack of all trades focus in our combat in offense and defense. Plus, all of us in NEXUS has a few surprises when needed. We also have tactical support on standby." he said, a smile towards his fellow members with confidence in them. "As of about ourselves, well Panthermon is a rather unique Digimon, so I think he will more than surprise you over how capable he can be."
The cat said nothing but purred in the content of the contents that bolstered his pride.

Well, this was quite a varied group... considering that half of the Digimon here were foxes, anyway. Right after Denryu stepped on, they were joined by a Blitzwolfmon - another bit of muscle, earning a nod from Denryu - and soon after by someone who seemed to have a bit of authority.
... Authority that Denryu honestly wished that the Kajunemon had checked at the door. Angel found herself snarling, as Denryu gently pulled at the back of the Renamon's neck. There was no need for them to stir the pot right now, and having this canine 'bark' wouldn't help anyone.
Then came the last: a young adult, with his partner currently out of sight. To that one, Denryu actually replied: "It is."
"Your partner shy, or somethin'?" Angel's tone seemed a bit restrained, the fox doing her best to keep herself in line - but really, what was that runt of a data signal in that guy's back going to do? Fortunately, Tiger took the chance to address the group as a whole. And to that, Denryu's eyes flicked right to that projector-screen. The situation was laid out to them clearly:
Around 40 hostages, about 12 per floor, and this group was assigned the deepest: the Trailmon platform. So this was why they were intent on coming through on through to the Digital World. When they got to the third picture, however, Denryu's eyes narrowed.
Fucking hell.
He sighed - but before he could speak up, Zachary decided to make his rounds. And, as far as Denryu could tell, what Zachary said sounded good. He wanted as much information as possible, and believed that the situation could be solved, at least in part, with an amicable discussion. When he went to discuss his role as a jack-of-all trades, though, Angel finally couldn't hold her tongue:
"Just a bunch of vanilla, then? Tch... but to think we got stuck with THIS floor, of all fucking things..."
"Angel." Denryu's tone was sharp - but he didn't disagree with his partner. "What we're looking at is a giant, large, hangar-like room with no obvious cover - and we're approaching by train, giving whatever group the best possible chance of knowing where we're going to be approaching from. If the hostages are held openly in the middle area, we might not have the chance to handle this amicably."
Denryu's tone was decisive. He's thought through situations like this before, and the General understood just how much advantage the group currently at the station had.
"Officer," his attention turned to Tiger, "The 'cap' is ultimate, but is there a limit to how many on one signal? My strongest formation, considering the situation, can give us a Taomon, a Devidramon, and a Knightmon, two Ultimates and a Champion, respectively. Taomon can provide swift movement and shielded transport to groups of people. Devidramon can fight effectively at middle-range with lightning-based abilities - we can try and disable anyone that tries to attack the hostages or their escorts. The Knightmon usually acts as my own shield in a fight - push comes to shove, he will be able to protect at least one or two people held behind his shield."
Regardless on whether or not that formation was possible, though, that didn't make the situation any easier:
"So long as they have control of the hostages in the area, we won't be able to act properly. It probably violates your protocol, but if you want to ensure the safety of these hostages, authorize us to open portals to the Digital World as we see fit. They'll be safer in Whitewater than where they are now."

This group was an interesting bunch Blitzwolfmon had to admit. There were quite a few foxes, one of them seemed somewhat feral so she knew with that digimon not to push her luck. She followed the others onto the Trailmon and sat down resting her tail on her lap so she wouldn't be sitting on it. This behavior seemed instinctive as well so she just didn't question it. Her digimon instincts had proven to be quite beneficial.
As the DATS agent known as Agent Tiger discussed the plan through the mission briefing, Blitzwolfmon looked at the plans uneasily. There were so many making a fight far too risky in her opinion. Apparently she wasn't the only one who thought so as a young man that called himself Zaber voiced his concern.
"I agree with Zaber. With so many hostages it would be much to risky to run in recklessly no matter how good we may fight."
When mentioned that when they got to the real world they wouldn't have any access to forms past ultimate, Blitzwolfmon rolled her eyes, not that her brown eyes were visible behind the green lenses of her mask. This wasn't a problem for her considering she at highest had access to her human spirit, which she was in currently. Wait, was the DATS agent asking about combat capabilities? Seriously?
Deciding to speak her mind, Blitzwolfmon calmly said "One would think combat would be the last thing on your mind given the situation. If I wasn't capable, I wouldn't be here. Agent Tiger, what are you doing? Gathering information for your employers?" Though her voice was calm a scowl appeared on her face.

Denryu and Angel... what a great yet pleasant surprise. Given their silence after their initial act of cooperation, she had believed them to revert back to their old ways. It seemed reasonable when considering their sudden lack of activity in regards to the feral Trailmon. Speaking of which, whatever had become of this case? Briefly scratching her chin, she eventually shrugged and nodded with a reserved yet sincere smile at the duo. If they truly sought to redeem themselves and contribute to commonweal then it was utterly unbecoming of her to prevent them from doing so. Besides, the notion was... balm to her recovering soul.
As was the appreciation granted by Agent Tiger and Jiro. It was always splendid to know that good old-fashioned teamwork payed out in approval and pleasantries. As for her superior, she directed a playful smirk at the lad who was evidently not as formal as she was. But this was not a problem, for everyone had their idiosyncrasies that made them special. However, a true leader had to learn how to behave properly in any situation. "She is a professional, as is her partner. They have given me no reason to doubt their trustworthiness darling, so ease up."
With these words of encouragement uttered, her attention was, for a moment, claimed by an individual who appeared to be a vigilante or monitor of sorts. Raising an eyebrow, she honestly had no idea what in the digital world the Kitsune was rattling on about. Truth be told, she took him with a pile of salt. They had neither trespassed nor evaded the local law enforcement - and the proposed sentences and conditions were simply ridiculous, not to mention antithetic for a crime-ridden metropolis such as Terminus. Besides, her reputation as a successful mercenary ought to grant her a degree of extended freedom. "Screwball..."
Chuckling amusedly, the silver fennec rolled her eyes and sighed. Seeing no point in contemplating this bizarre subject further, her gaze returned to focus on the matter at hand. Entering the armored train, she of course participated attentively in the briefing. Nothing new was added, but at least confirmation was bestowed upon them. "You are already acquainted with my abilities from previous encounters. They are supportive and disruptive in nature. But I must ask if these inhibitors cannot be removed, either temporarily or solely for us. Most of us have powers which vastly exceed the Ultimate level. Would this not be beneficial for our cause?"
With her question posed, she observed Director Scryer as he stepped into the role of an adequate chief. Impressed by the fact that he considered all angles, wishing to avoid combat entirely if possible, she simpered proudly. Had he internalized her occasional counsel at last? Stupendous! Though this ultimately led into something that she did not approve of, hence she gently if firmly nudged the boy's shoulder. "This is no time to act coyly, dear. The more intel we have, including about each other, the better."
Clearing her throat quietly, she listened to what the blond man had to state. As to be expected, his tactical thinking was delightfully prominent. How else had he achieved his 'former accomplishments' but with strategy? Especially for an infiltration and hostage situation, having every option available was a boon. What they certainly did not require was an internal schism, which was why she gracefully frowned at the nameless Blitzwolfmon. "Please, no infighting. We need to prepare ourselves for any conceivable course of events, which includes direct engagement. Without dispositions, we will not be able to achieve a flawless success."

John hesitated for a moment, worried that this was a disguised cage, but decided to press on for now. It seemed normal enough, minus the weapons on the outside of the train car, but he kept close to the exit just in case. When Agent Tiger brought up the diagram, he looked at it with concern, walking forward he examined the screen to assess the legitimacy. “Well it looks real enough.” he muttered, then turns to the employer, “I need to step outside for a moment, I need to have a private conversation, excuse me.”
John walks outside a few feet away, and making sure none of them followed him, he took his backpack off and looked inside. “So what do you think?” He asked his partner, she looked like she was still thinking. “It sounds like this is a legit hostage situation, what about you, anything from the diagram look suspicious?” John shakes his head. “No, nothing I could see, and if this is still a trap, seems like a lot of trouble to go through to catch just a handful of people and digimon. Plus there’s some sort of law enforcer on our side, and Cion knows this person, so I think we can trust her to at least not pull anything when there’s innocents in danger.”
Runa swished her tail back and forth for a moment, before sighing. “Fine, I’ll show myself, but we only tell her info on a need to know basis, and I’ll be the one too decide what that is, got it?” John nods in agreement, and Runa hops onto his shoulder as he zips up his backpack and returns to the group. “Okay, we talked and we decided that we’ll help.” John said, prompting Runa to talk, “I can reach champion level, my partner has some cards he can use to augment me.” She was straight and to the point, wanting this to be done so this job would be over with, and she and her partner could get as far away from this DATS agent as possible.

Being a “problem solver” for Terminus came with its own fair share of attitudes and dispositions. The fox had, on a regular basis, dealt with those who felt the city’s laws were unfair or unjust. He didn’t really care... he wasn’t hired as a lawmaker. He wasn’t a vigilante or self proclaimed worker. He was a hired-on enforcer, plain and simple. Their anger came with the territory.
So when the group collectively shot glares and tossed weak insults at him for doing his job, he simply shrugged and focused on meditation to break his current form. He ignored the question of the human and the attitude from the fennec... He needed to break this form because the last thing he wanted was to cross into the human world as a Super Mega! Despite the noise and distractions, the fox managed to create a dim glow along his body and break into two forms! Almost instantly a fair skinned, blonde human and lithe Renamon were sitting where Kajunemon was!
Genesis, the blonde woman, was wearing a simple ensemble of a white shirt, jeans and a rather official looking blazer that bared the symbol of Terminus’ law enforcers. She shook her head and looked around,
”Is this... are we going to Tokyo?” she pressed her temple, ”Wait, oh right! The Hostages! Right! Well everyone here seems fitting for the job. I... Hmm?”
She read the crowd and blinked, then looked to Viktor, who was locking his gaze with another Renamon across from them. Feral looking as she may have been, Viktor’s gaze was unbroken and as icy as his demeanor, he show no interest of breaking anytime soon. That was, until the DATS agent began to speak of combat capabilities and asking them of theirs.
Viktor finally spoke with a tone that matched his gaze, albeit heavily accented;
”I have worked with DATS before, I have dealt with hostage takers before. My focus is on the Digimon threats. Hostages are secondary.” he said plainly, almost callously.
Genesis patted his back and cleared her throat;
”Forgive my fox’s rather bleak outlook. He has a lot of experience in this field...” she leaned back and sighed, ”His focus is on the threat, but mine will be on the Hostages, make no mistake.”
She stood up and peered out the window taking on last look at the digital world before they began crossing over. She tapped her digivice and turned to the DATS agent; ”Do we know of the international government’s plan? The UN, Tiger?”
Viktor broke his gaze from the other Renamon and looked at Genesis quizzically, then he looked to Tiger. He knew what she was doing and it was a loaded question. If DATS told them, it meant that there was mutual trust and this was a legitimate plan. But... if she hesitated or answered oddly, it would tell the duo there was more to this.
Conversely, if she didn’t answer, it meant that she didn’t trust them or the international stage didn’t trust DATS. Which would be worrying to say the least. Viktor needed to be sure they weren’t walking into an active air strike or anti-Digimon counter measure. He already distrusted government agencies in the human world and DATS had yet to prove they were any different.
He stood up and and turned his back to the other Renamon before walking to the Fennec, stepping closer so the others wouldn’t hear him;
”Infighting indeed. Screwball or no, I need to know you and I are not going to have a problem on the field. I have worked with you before and I know your power. It is of the same caliber as mine, no need to prove that. We are working in a China Shop”
He examined her, remembering her to be skilled in fighting but a bit brash with her move set. It wasn’t so much her attitude with him as he approached as it was it was her boisterous demeanor that didn’t sit well with him. He may have put the hostages secondary but he didn’t want needless death.
Genesis looked to Denryu and sighed, taking a seat where her fox was and chucked as he reigned in fox, ”How do you keep a leash on yours?” she huffed, crossing her arms!
At very least, this fight was about to get interesting!

The first question asked was what the provocateurs had requested from this. Tiger answered readily. "Their basic aim is to challenge those of us in DATS to a public duel." she replied. "In doing so, it would bring both our operations and the existence of digimon into public knowledge, and that is something that we'd rather avoid, due to the cascading complications that would bring to society, especially if they were to be introduced in such a callous and violent way."
The next point of conversation came from Angel and Denryu. Denryu pointed out that it was a large hangar-like area with few points of cover. Tiger was impressed with his level of tactical knowledge. She then listened to his direct questions, then would answer.
"The 'level cap' system put in place puts a low-level digital disruption signal through all of the Tokyo area." she replied. "Under it, a digimon cannot hold any level above Ultimate for more than a second, but they are able to hold any forms up to the level of Ultimate. We would have made the signals stronger, but, doing so disrupts the normal wireless internet traffic of Tokyo so we couldn't do so. So, under the circumstances, I think you would be able to bring your forces of Taomon, Devidramon and Knightmon to battle without disruption from the network."
Denryu's suggestion of opening portals to the benefit of the hostages sounded good as well. "That sounds great. The quicker we can get the hostages to safety, the better. And if they're already on the Trailmon platform, then they'll already be likely aware of the digital world, so hopefully there'll be minimum disruption there."
Then Cion asked if the digivolution disruptors could be disengaged. Agent Tiger shook her head. "I'm afraid not, Cion. If we do so, we might allow the enemy to evolve beyond Ultimate as well and they could be able to do even more untold damage than what they're currently capable of."
Then... things went not so good. Agent Tiger and Jiro suspected that many of them were holding their card-hands to their chests in terms of what they were capable of. And it was Stacy's unfounded accusation that was the final straw here. Tiger was glad that Cion attempted to iron things over gently.
Before she could gather her thoughts, however, she turned to Viktor, who promptly revealed that he was a biomerged digimon with a human, and they just separated their forms. While Tiger was initially willing to hear them out, when Viktor stated that the hostages were secondary. This was the final straw.
"It seems that many of you here appear to have not understood Hackmon's message that was sent on our behalf." Agent Tiger remarked. "Before we continue, I would like all of you to pull out your D-Terminals and read the message again."
If they did so, they would see Seifer's words. They had been written carefully and gently.
"Attention all "Chosen". We have a problem.
A digimon related incident is occurring in Shibuya Station. Several hostile digimon have appeared, some up to the level of Perfect, and are holding many innocent passengers hostage.
Their demands so far have been that they want to "settle the score" with DATS, and wish to face us in combat.
It is very humbling for me to admit this, but, if we want to get through this safely, we need your help. So far, we have met many of you Chosen and have got to know you, most encounters being quite positive. You're not the dangerous delinquents threatening to upend society as we first feared. You're simply humans and digimon that want to work together to do the right thing. And we respect that.
I know that many of you may disagree with our official goals and the means in which we intend to achieve them, but, all I ask is that you cast those doubts aside for tonight and work with us to save lives.
If you're in the digital world and near Terminus, please board the Battle Armament Trailmon we have hired at the central station and be ready for combat the moment he stops.
If you're outside of Shibuya, please get to the station through the rail tunnels. All trains have been stopped in this emergency. Please move as fast as you can.
If you're within Shibuya, please gather out of sight of the station in Scramble Crossing.
Once you're within the gathering zone, please do your best to work with the DATS agent assigned to your position. We've seen enough of you to trust you to work with us, especially with a situation like this. If you're not willing to work with DATS, that's fine, just please stay away.
I repeat, this situation is happening NOW. Anyone available, please, reply to this message and move out as fast as you can.
- Hackmon."
"I would like for you to pay particular attention to the sentences "I know that many of you may disagree with our official goals and the means in which we intend to achieve them, but, all I ask is that you cast those doubts aside for tonight and work with us to save lives.", and " Once you're within the gathering zone, please do your best to work with the DATS agent assigned to your position. We've seen enough of you to trust you to work with us, especially with a situation like this. If you're not willing to work with DATS, that's fine, just please stay away." Tiger continued.
"If you're not willing to do the bare minimum of cooperating with me and Jiro to deal with this situation, then I invite you to leave this carriage immediately." Tiger said, sternly. "Time is of the essence here, even though we have more time to deal with the situation while we're here in the digital world. If you're going to waste time with being evasive with us about your combat capabilities, accuse us with unfounded accusations or state that the lives of the hostages are not a priority, then I refuse to work with you. You would be liabilities, increasing the risk of a mission failure, and it would be better if this operation was not conducted at all if we don't have an acceptable minimum trust of each other."
She took a deep breath to compose herself here. It was unbecoming of her to lose her temper like that, but she had really felt driven to the brink with the response she got. Only Cion and Denryu had given satisfactory responses so far.
"That said, I suppose it would be more comfortable to divulge information if I do the same." she said. "Jiro, please feel free to start."
The Dracomon-X cleared his throat and spoke calmly, although as he went along, he grew steadily more confident. "I have the capability to evolve to Wingdramon. I'm roughly about 15 feet or 5 meters tall in that form, and I have the capability of flight. While I do have destructive ranged and melee attacks, I also have abilities that can seal the powers of the enemy. Lastly, if the "Reverse Scale" on my back between my wings is touched, I can launch an attack at double power, but I also lose control of my battle discipline if that happens, so it should only be used in an emergency."
"Thanks for that, Jiro." Tiger said, hoping to receive the same amount of clarity from others in the room. "Now then. To answer your further queries, Genesis, the international situation is currently on a "watch and wait" scenario. We want this operation conducted with as minimum disruption and exposure of digimon activity as possible. If the situation in Shibuya Station cannot be contained, then they will act, but it will be a very messy scenario if we let that happen."
Knowing this was a lot to take in, Agent Tiger would remain silent for the moment to see how the rest of the group that volunteered to be her allies in this operation would react.
