Well... that was now happening. Was Cion baffled by the sudden appearance of the eldritch fiend? Naturally, but oddly enough she was not surprised. Stranger things had happened, and if both the material and the digital world collided then truly fantastical events were bound to transpire. Furthermore, this undertaking had already proven to be a giant mess of absurd causality and spurious correlation. From her point of view, this was merely another happenstance in a chain of many. Unfortunately, this was one that was potentially quite hazardous to her. Though not flinching, the destruction of the tracks was certainly aggravating.
What did this blackguard want from them? Was it capable of volition in the first place?
Ultimately, it did not matter. It had chosen to be a target, thus it had to be dealt with - preferably swiftly so. On the inside, the CyberSagitamon was delighted to have her suggestion of a perimeter defense formation approved by the direction. On the outside however, she kept her stern and focused gaze that was directed towards the fell adversary. Even as she came to a halt a mere feet away from Suzuki, a magnate to say the least, her poise and stance did not change, nor did her eyes ever sway to face his. This was not out of hostility, but professionalism.
Subtlety was a game of finesse and pertinacity. Being surrounded by humans with weaponry capable of erasing her was undoubtedly a situation that required it.
Apparently, Viktor and/or Genesis disagreed. She did not mind the backup, but the well-nigh patronizing choice of words disgruntled the anthropomorphic fennec. She was convinced that undermining their employer's authority, something she had actively striven towards reinforcing, was a demerit to their secondary effort. But... maybe cooperation was an act with two sides. Moreover, varying personalities likely portrayed genuineness. Still, she disliked the amount of jigsaw pieces at hand which had to be balanced.
Lastly, as the others were busy tending to the amusingly named Deathmon, the vulpine lady wondered what point there was in changing to ballistic weapons. If a Champion could barely be damaged by them, then what effects would they have on the alp in front of them? Sighing under her breath, she announced her intention as it was typical for the member of a squad. "Deploying safeguard measures." She declared firmly as her free hands emanated a blue aura. Before long, almost looking like kinetic shields from ordinary sources of entertainment, she and her adjacent allies would benefit from additional protection that pulsated softly around their frames.
That was her contribution for the moment, but it was evident that her companion did not stop talking. Cion knew her abilities better than they did, and the statements uttered were anew too presumptuous for her liking. Nonetheless, she responded in a way that felt like an ideal medium. "If that is what they wish then of course, Viktor. But for now, let us do as ordered and focus on holding the line." She answered concisely and with a neutral tone to her dulcet voice.
Respecting the chain of command was of utmost importance, and unless the order came from the director or his serving commanders she'd ignore it. Hence, for this instance, she remained in the center of the trained men and women by his side. Although she considered it wise for the other foxes to divert attention, her defensive skills were better employed in clusters anyway - as counterproductive as that sounded.
