"There has been something bugging me out," Tetsu commented one day in the sanctum. "For a long time, we haven't created any of our artifacts. I think it's close to the time that we make it. What do you think, Gryz?" he asked toward his partner who's currently laying his head and leg on a small sofa's armrest. The bear is reading a book about cooking apparently and taking notes which he should make. Hearing that he's addressed, Gryz turned his head toward Tetsu, looking as calm as usual.
"Oh? You're trying to make artifact? What do you have in mind?" Gryz asked.
"I'm glad you asked! I asked Yuuki-san yesterday! He said that that perhaps we should focus on our inherent qualities, and so that means we should focus on our crest! Yes, the crest of [Growth]!"
Tetsu's crest is indeed [Growth], an element that gets stronger the more he develops mentally and physically. However, that's definition is how Tetsu decides to embodies it as. There are a lot of qualities when it comes to chosen, if you think of it... yet despite so, there haven't been any case where two person's crest of same quality have same emblem emblazoned on it.
"How you decides to embody your crest is up to you. For example... what is [Love]? Love as in loving someone, caring for them? What kind of love? Familial? More special? There are so many ways to determine what your crest stands for... and that's why, embody it as your heart told it," so said Yuuki.
Just like some members of KIZNA, Tetsu does not have a "second crest", or at least he does not think he does. This is duality of the crests of some of KIZNA members. They don't need "second crest" because they embodies two facets of the same crest. For Tetsu, [The power that gained from tribulation, tests, various bitter situation in life] reflected Belphemon. Tenacity toward developing to be better, regardless whether it's ultimately good or bad for the psyche is what the demon lord form stood for. Meanwhile [The personal growth that caused by interaction, friendship, animosity, clash of ideals and storm of life events] reflected by Baihumon. The [strength] to keep on going forward while holding his ideal and what he stood for is what this Growth stood for. And thanks to that, Tetsu decided one artifact.
"...This is the bluprint."
On it, designed with help of the Aterna Forge, is an massive sword. Element of nature strongly entwined in it. Gryz noted that it's a heavy greatsword, perhaps it's easier to call it a [axe-bastard sword] for how it's shaped. The blade is made from unknown material that infused with mystical power. The hilt is made of wood, and the center is made with the only artifact that they have on hand... The Purified Water Core. The blade looked as if it grew directly from the hilt and the guard, especially with the pattern on the blade, and the tip that shine like a jewel.
"...So you're saying, you're trying to nurture a weapon, based on [Growth] quality that we have... Your answer... is to form a sword with natural element?"
"Yeah. This is the result that I get after meditating on Aterna Forge. The forge gave this design in return for my answer."
"[Sword of a Little Hero] it said... fufu..." Gryz looked at it fondly "Hmm, this sword... are you sure you're fine with me corrupting it as Belphemon?"
"...I don't mind. The sword might sounded holy, but... it's not. The only holiness in this sword is the purity of what we put inside it. It's a piece of our heart, so.. what says you, Gryz?"
"...Let's make it then. We should make the hilt first, yes?"
"Yeah!"
And that was how Tetsu and Gryz ended up in the Tyrant's Labyrinth. They needed an exact material... either a sapling of a tree, or perhaps a seed of a really mystical tree. Here in Tyrant Labyrinth that contains various plants, the chance of finding a mystical tree with such seed probably increased. Now, they really have no idea where to find it. It could be here, it could be in the deepest part... and what's in the deepest part? No idea. What he knows however is that they'll get it no matter what.
"The route ahead will be dangerous," Gryz commented as they stood in front of the entrance to deeper area. "...If we cannot handle it, I request you to press the button to return us to the base immediately, got it?"
"Yeah, that's fine with me." Tetsu answered. He's currently riding his personal vehicle, a chariot pulled by several phantasmal looking bears (which is simply phantoms created by the chariot's mystical elements). It's time to enter deeper... toward the unknown.
