She had to admit to herself that whitewater was gorgeous.
That it was one of her favorite places to be in the digital world. That it was a place she enjoyed living in! But her curiousity and desire to explore made it hard to sit still now that she had the option to do so. So much so that she had sailed for a bit, found some islands and well… She was too afraid to go there on her own. She didn’t know what sort of stuff they’d have there!
That and she knew the dangers of the digital world; she knew that not everyone was as nice as the people here in whitewater. But that was okay; everyone didn’t live the same lives and she didn’t harbour any ill will towards them. The antylamon shifted her weight on her boat and looked over the few ropes that tied her to the dock.
She wanted to explore, she wanted to laze around, she also wanted to make more friends. It was difficult to do that last one given that not everyone was patient enough to sit around and wait for her to write stuff down… that and not everyone liked playing charades. She’d flick her ears and step off of her boat. She needed to pick up supplies for her inevitable trip and needed to at least make sure that her rent for this portion of the dock was kept.
Which thanks to all the fishing she had been doing wasn’t difficult to pay. People were a lot more willing to pay for bulk goods than they were individual fish… Unless that fish was rare. So having a fishing boat out of whitewater was extremely prosperous. The antylamon sat down on the bench near the entry of her little dock and started to count her bits.
It wasn’t a bad haul from the prior day and it would at least keep her grounded for a few weeks. There had been a shortage of willing people to go and brave the dangerous waters but… She didn’t feel that fear and maybe it was because of that she got lucky. She didn’t really know so all she could do was shrug her shoulders.
She had enough for food, the dock and to even get herself a good treat! The antylamon’s face lit up and she’d make sure to do a recount… She didn’t want to accidentally not have enough for something she needed to pay!
Mm… quite a bit extra actually. I might have enough for a treat later in the week hmm hmm…
The antylamon for now would just lean back and stare in the dotted cloudy sky. The sun peaking out from behind one or another from time to time. The gentle breeze that ran through her fur earned a small sigh and she couldn't help but give a small wave to a pair of passersbys who laughed and returned the gesture.

Malik had officially been recruited to KIZNA. While he was exceedingly nervous to get started on official business, he couldn't help but feel a certain sense of accomplishment from this step he took. Soon after his official introduction, he went back to Whitewater in order to tell the Keramon he met about it. Or did she start to prefer the Antylamon form she digivolved to last time they met? Either way he wanted to see her again.
He soon arrived at Whitewater again and began asking around for either a Keramon or Antylamon. The locals recognized the blank stare of the Lopmon that befriended her, so they gladly helped point him in the right direction. It seemed she had rented out a portion of the dock for her very own fishing boat! They've both been busy and made little bits of progress in their lives. He thanked the people of Whitewater and made his way over to the docks to meet up with his friend.
The docks were enormous, though he should have expected that from the biggest port in the Digital World. Doing his best to follow the directions given to him, he checked the various docks close to where she was supposedly staying. Soon enough he would indeed find the fishing boat that belonged to her. He stepped out onto the pier and hopped up slightly to get a better view. When he saw the Antylamon, he immediately recognized her and gave a small wave "Hey...!" He called out "I-I got accepted...into KIZNA. A-and I see...you've been...busy too. H-how...have you been? Is the boat...treating you well...?"

Antylamon didn’t know the many groups that were in the world, she didn’t know much about the problems they had or dealt with. She didn’t know what it felt like to be part of a group or team of like minded individuals. But that didn’t stop her from living and her ignorance was for the most part left unattended. So what surprise did she have when she heard that voice again?
The same one that had sparked her digivolution into the antylamon form she kept more often than not? Her head turned quickly and her face lit up in a pleased surprise. If malik wasn’t careful [or if he didn’t mind] he’d find himself scooped up in a big hug with zero hesitation! Even going so far as to rub the top of his head with a hand before setting him down. She’d quirk her head a bit and flick an ear; her hands digging out a large book for her to write in. Last time they had met she didn’t know how to do that!
She was quick to write and quicker to show the lopmon the book once she had put down what she wanted to say. Being mute wasn’t so much a hindrance as it was before and well… with her ability to write she could hold proper conversations now! It was certainly something that she didn’t seem to mind!
Kizna? Is that some sort of club? I’ve been doing well as you can see! Own boat, renting part of the pier and people buy fish from me! It’s really peaceful. I’ve taken to trying to find more fishing spots and since there’s not a lot of traffic out on the sea right now I’ve got a lot of area I can get to!
The antylamon tilted her head this way and that before kneeling down to scoop up the lopmon in another firm hug. She had missed her friend dearly and it was really nice seeing him again. Come to think of it, weren’t the both of them in the same family of mons? Maybe that’s why she got along with him so well?
Do you wanna come onboard? I’ve got some food I can make for the both of us if you’d like! It sounds like you’ve been busy too. Tell me about this kizna!

Malik let out a small, surprised gasp as he's suddenly scooped into a big hug by the tall rabbit Digimon, but he didn't seem against it. His ears wiggling around were the only signs he was delighted by the sudden affection. He stumbles a bit and gets his bearings again once he's set down "I-It's good to see you too." He said and mustered a small smile.
He curiously stared at the book she carried with her. Did she pick up reading as a hobby? Or was it for something else? He would soon get his answer as she began to write in it. "O-oh! You can write..." He said, pleased with her own progress. Now they could truly converse with one another. He sat down and read what she had to say about this.
She didn't know about KIZNA. He blushed brightly and could have sworn that he had mentioned it before, but he didn't apparently. "Oh...it's a group of Digimon and humans who...are trying to help the Digital World develop...and discover ancient secrets...I work for their crafting department now..."
"You've...gotten a job as a fisher and your own boat! Wow...you've done so much since we last met...you helped me learn how to fish, s-so this seems very nice for you. Life must be so comfortable for yo-aah!" He shouted as he's pulled into yet another hug.
"O-okay, I'll come on board...I am feeling a little hungry..." He said as he and Antylamon go onto the boat. "KIZNA seems nice...they have this huge city called Ys far to the north...I had to take a Trailmon to get there. I-I've met a few of their members and they all seem very nice." He explained "I'm not sure how much work will be expected of me...but they seem very relaxed. I'm trying my best to learn...b-but all of the books and things I need to learn is overwhelming..."

The antylamon managed to let out a small chuckle to herself, to malik it’d be just a sequence of small but amused breaths. She’d smile warmly and was grateful that he didn’t seem to mind the affection. Honestly it was one of the few things she felt that she could do for or with someone in a way. Maybe that was because actions spoke louder than her words? ...Well it’s not like she could talk anyways! She’d nod her head and that smile would widen as he realized that she could write now!
She’d tilt her head at seeing the blush and gently would rub at the top of his head. He didn’t need to be embarrassed about it! She was glad to hear that he had joined a g roup! They seemed interesting but… She wasn’t sure what she thought about groups yet. Heck this was the first one! The fact they had a crafting department piqued her interest and she’d write out something.
Well they sound like a good bunch especially if they took you in! So they’re explorers and stuff like that?
The antylamon nodded her head as malik repeated what she had ‘said’. She was clearly happy with the fact she had become a fishermon and didn’t seem to mind what amounted to long hours. The fact she had even taught him to fish was sort of on the wayside given the hug, kizna and the boat! She’d consider for a moment if this was comfortable…
It is kind of comfortable? Some days I don’t want to go anywhere though but that’s what the inside of the boat is for!
ANother chuckle and she’d lead the lopmon into her boat; the inside was fairly small from what you’d expect and there was everything you’d need in this living SPace. Sink. Fridge. A large bed. Some space for clothing or equipment… And a bathroom with a small shower. Definitely made for rookies given the size of that part but everything else didn’t seem to bug the antylamon at all!
Then let me make something for us! A city called Ys huh? It sounds pleasant. Maybe sometime I could go there? And if the members seem nice then they must be! Hmm.. Well I bet they’d want for you to get your bearings right? So just take your time!
The antylamon smiled warmly and went to start cooking, it was fish of course with some rice and what looked to be some corn. A pretty simple meal for the two mons but it would be what she had currently! She hadn’t gone shopping yet but if… Well She’d quirk her head and use a whiteboard that was on her fridge to write something out! That way she could write and still pay attention to the food!
Well if you ever need a place to get away from all the overwhelming stuff my boat’s always open! I might not have a lot of space but it’s cozy!

Her gentle pat to his head felt nice and made him feel a little less shy about it all. She knew what to do to make people feel better around her, which was a trait he found very admirable. "Explorers, scholars it seems, yes..." He said with a nod. Being on this boat was interesting. It was far more stable than the little raft he got for himself, and definitely more spacious and practical.
He figured she would put those fishing talents to some use. It warmed his heart that she found a way to help people around here and make a living doing so, since he remembered she lived out by herself before now. "I can imagine you could go anywhere you wanted and spend time alone whenever you needed to in a boat like this...it must be very peaceful for that reason."
So many necessities in this space. It even had a shower. Though she did seem a bit tall for this space, but if she really needed to she'd return to being Keramon. He smiled as she offered to make some food for them. He made himself at home and looked around a little more "I'm sure they would not mind a visitor at all...I just know only members are allowed to go to certain places, mostly the important parts of their base." He considered what she said. They would want him to get his bearings first? That's true, they seemed like the patient types.
A nice simple meal was being made, but that was perfect. It would be filling and delicious all the same. He was caught off guard a bit at her offer "Stay here when I need to...? I-I don't know. I'd love to, but I wouldn't want to intrude on your space."

The antylamon couldn’t help but smile at seeing the way that malik reacted to her physical affection; maybe he had opened up a bit or perhaps he was much more comfortable around her? Either way she was happy about it! The fact that kizna was both explorer and scholar types well… that made her happy too! Malik would fit right in since she sort of got that vibe about him!
I’m glad you found them, you seem like you’d fit right in with them!
Antylamon didn’t have much more than her boat and fishing abilities. She had no idea her connections and the political charge her family had before their deaths... followed by her untimely separation from them. The fact that she made anything of herself spoke about her methods of survival; friendship and the gentle touch that her kind was known for.
I mean if it’s not landlocked i can go there. I’m still trying to plan routes out to the other major cities. But with luminas I’d need a ship that could fly! I’d rather not spend all my time alone though...
The antylamon snickered a bit and was glad to hear that he was all right with her making food for the both of them. She’d lean as he spoke, her hands a blur as she worked on their food. It wasn’t hard. The fish cooked up easy, the rice and corn doing the same! In fact she was able to just simply tend to everything given how it was structured. Hearing that only members were allowed to go certain places made sense…
Well can’t have everyone running around the place right? I might have to stop by. Though… If it’s in the north I might need to load out my boat with a way to travel through ice or above ground. Hoverpads maybe?
The antylamon frowned a bit and considered the options available to her. Maybe if she kept fish frozen or refrigerated she could sell them at Y’s to the mons there? Did they have a proper importation ruling or was it something that just sorta yanno… She’d have to look into it later. She’d smile warmly and well. Malik would find her drawing him up into a gentle hug.
You’re not intruding on my space malik. I wouldn’t have invited you if I didn’t consider it. In fact why don’t you stay with me for a few days, maybe a week and see how you like it? There’s some islands I found that you might like and one of them even has some ruins we can explore!
She’d offer timidly, almost shyly before setting the other down. She didn’t mean to come off so strongly but… out of everyone she met she certainly enjoyed malik’s company more for some reason. Some strong connection? Or perhaps it was because they both were still trying to get their bearings in this world?

"I hope I fit in with them. Part of me is still super nervous that I won't be able to provide for them as much as I feel like I should." He said as he rubbed at his arm nervously. "But I'm going to try my best to work together with them on whatever is needed."
Antylamon really was free to go wherever she wanted. She had the freedom to live as she pleased and explore the world at her leisure. It was honestly incredible to Malik and he found his admiration for her free spirit steadily growing "That sounds amazing. Being able to travel wherever you want to go like that. There's still so much I haven't seen, but I definitely want to. I want to see the rest of this world someday and...figure out how I can help it."
He watched her cook, jaw slightly dropped at the sheer efficiency on display. He could hardly keep up with everything that she was doing. "I wish I had more info for you about Ys. Its surroundings are kind of a blur to me since I just focused on getting into the city. It's really nice in there though. Not too cold at all."
He blinked as he was drawn into another comfy hug. He felt like a stuffed toy at this point, but it was comfortable so he didn't have any reason to complain. He blushed a little "Thank you...really." He said. He thought about her offer "You want me to stay for a while? U-um, sure! I've never been island exploring before and I think it will be fun..." He said with a tiny smile.
After being set down, he still remained close to her. Her presence and caring nature made him feel welcome and appreciated.

I think you’ll be okay malik. They sound like good people and you’re a good person so.
The antylamon smiled warmly to him and continued to work on the cooking; it wasn’t hard for her to get into it and with how simple the items were it wasn’t like she was going to stumble making corn, rice or fish! Then again how often did she make this for herself one had to wonder?
It’s a plus, but it can be a bit lonely sometimes. Or a little odd. I feel like if I wasn’t as strong as I am that some of the wild mons might attack me. And I don’t want ot hurt them. I think that you should travel then! And if you want to save it well… my boat will always be here for you!
She’d smile widely and blinked as she saw the jaw drop; she’d flush a bit and pause as he spoke about Ys once more. It’s surroundings were… well difficult for him to recall given how he had focused on the city. How it wasn’t too cold. Even though it was in the north?
Well as long as you’d like to stay around, I’m not going to pressure you into staying after all!
She’d squeeze him softly and gently boop his nose with a finger before getting back to it. She’d hum to herself, shifting slightly and it wouldn’t be long before the food was down between the two of them. Exploring the island together would be nice!
I haven’t either, but i have supplies for it! Some rope, torches, food, and a camping kit! Though the kit has seen better days since i got it used from some grouchy mon in whitewater.
She almost looked like she would laugh and honestly she would have if she could! But instead she’d grin like a fool before handing the smaller mon some utensils!
Now better eat up before it gets cold~ If you want more I can make more!

A good person...him? He felt strange to hear that from someone, but to hear it from Antylamon gave him a reason to truly believe it for some reason. Especially with her friendly smile. He remained quiet as she continued to cook. How many times has she made this meal and ate it by herself?
Loneliness. Malik knew that feeling pretty well. Antylamon was gentle and non-confrontational. She didn't want to hurt other Digimon. Instead she wanted to live in peace and offer her help to those who needed it. "I-I think I'd like that a lot. I like places that aren't crowded...I like it when it's quiet...though that also gives me a lot of time t-to think. Sometimes I don't like the things I think about. Where I came from, what I might have done."
Antylamon didn't want to pressure him into staying, but he didn't really feel pressured at all. He blushed brightly as she hugged and squeezed him before letting him go with a little boop to the nose. Why she was so comfortable and happy around him, he didn't really know. He felt the same way, though. Being around her just made him relax a bit more.
Soon the food was ready, and he read what she had said before he went about eating his meal. "M-maybe I can take a look at it and fix it up if there's something wrong with it." He offered as he continued to eat. "Mm...this is delicious." He said, genuinely happy with the food. It was simple, but tasty and filling and that's all that really mattered to him. "Thank you for the food."

Antylamon couldn’t help but smile while cooking this food; she couldn’t help but enjoy herself around her first and currently only real friend. Sure she had a few people she knew but when it came down to it; one was so young she felt like an aunt to and another she had barely really talked to. Much less figured out. She had a few people to thank for her developing too but… Those were less friends and more good people helping someone in need!
The antylamon paused as malik spoke; he liked places that weren’t crowded. She’d glance around; this boat wasn’t the largest but… She bet if she worked towards it she could get a larger one where they could relax and rest. The antylamon nodded her head as he explained further; that the quiet and space gave him a lot of time to think. She’d reach out to gently rub at the top of his head.
Where you came from and what you did doesn’t make you who you are. It’s what you want to do and where you want to go that do.
She wouldn’t pressure him to stay, she wouldn’t press him to change. She’d let him take his time and enjoy himself. She was happy that he was here and she could feel her core practically dancing in her chest. Maybe it was just cause she wasn’t alone or maybe it was… She felt her cheeks burn at the thought and she’d shake her head after a moment. His offer to fix the kit made her blink; right he probably would know how to do that!
Well it’s just a few small things, the tent poles and uh… I think some of the fabric is frayed. I’d have to go look.
The antylamon took a seat and started eating, at the compliment and at his thanks she felt one of her legs thump in appreciation. She’d huff a bit and smile at him; a rosey blush spreading across her cheeks.
Of course, it’s the least I can do right? After we’re done eating we can head out to the island! But it’s gonna take most of the day to get there...

He looked up at her as she gently rubbed the top of his head and blushed a little. "But every time I think about some people...people I don't even know, I just...feel crushed. I feel like I need to live only atone for something I did to them. I-I know that's...probably not what they want from me, but how can I know? How can I be safe? Is it really okay for me to just...move on and live for myself?"
He shook his head, trying to push those thoughts away for now. He was able to with her around. He kept eating and wondered why it was she made him feel so at ease. There were so many things he didn't understand, but he felt like that was okay. He gave her a smile "I-I think I can make some replacement poles...and sew up some of the fabric..." He said, a little embarrassed, but confident at least.
When Antylamon blushed he worried he might have said something wrong, but what she wrote to him next seemed to indicate anything but that "I don't mind if it takes most of the day to get there. It'll be nice to relax for a while and take in the scenery. I've never been out to sea before...except just a little bit away from shore on that raft. I hope I don't get seasick." He worried about that a bit, but they would come to that if it was an issue.
"O-oh, and um...thanks for the food. It's really tasty." He said with the brightest smile he's given so far. It seemed like the two of them were able to really help the other express themselves more. He always felt so reserved and emotionless around everyone else, but not with Antylamon. He wanted to work on being the same way around others as well, but that might take some time.

Then maybe once upon a time you did something, but even if that’s the case you don’t know. You don’t remember it and it shouldn’t weigh you down. If anything Malik you should consider finding and talking to them. Maybe not for yourself but for who you were. If that’ll put your mind at ease at least. And even if you don’t… what’s stopping you from moving forward with your life other than yourself now?
She’d smile warmly and gently reach over to give him a helpful pat on the head; hearing that he could make some replacement poles and even sew up the fabric was great! She needed to get them replaced anyways but having him do it felt so much better!
Then we can do that while we get ready tomorrow.
Then came the bit she was worried about; he didn’t know if he would get sea-sick. She wouldn’t, she was pretty firm when it came to this stuff. Moving and rocking with the boat as it went. But she did have a solution for that. She’d hold up one finger before going off to the medical cabinet… It’d take maybe a minute before she came back with something!
Some pills for that exact thing, it won’t calm it completely but it’ll help. Might make you a bit sleepy though.
She’d look down at the pill container and set it on the table; a big smile spreading across her face for the moment. She felt a blush spread across her face as he complimented her cooking.
Thanks! I need to find some more spices and stuff to work with… Maybe after this trip?
Another smile and she’d move to clean the dishes off of the table; her large ears flopping a bit as she moved to the sink. She’d start to clean them up and consider something for a moment before turning her head back to malik, writing something on the board once again.
Once I’m done with these dishes we’ll get underway!
Fifteen or so minutes later she’d be happily showing him how to cast off and all of that nonsense. It didn’t take much given that it was just the regular pier. If it had been in the middle of no where she’d have to show him how to crank the anchor and then maybe some other stuff. But this was easy!
Five or so minutes later the antylamon would be focusing on driving them to their destination, happy to make idle chit chat with malik the whole way while keeping her attention ‘on the road…’
Though she certainly seemed far more affectionate and happy with him around, even going so far as to give him a soft hug when she could. She knew that he was probably torn up about earlier and the stuff that he had talked about but. She'd be there when she could for him!

Was it really okay for him to not let this weigh him down simply because he didn't remember it? He should go out and try to talk to those he felt that he hurt? He placed a hand to his chest and frowned. "I-I can't...I can't do that. Whenever I think they're nearby or if their names are mentioned...I break down. All I can do is say that I'm sorry. It...it can't be as easy as walking up to them and saying sorry!" However, deep down that's what he wanted to do. It was something he at least had to try. Even if the person he was is for all intents and purposes dead, the chance of burying the hatchet and forming new relationships was very important to who he was now. He can't let this cripple him like this. "But...s-someday I'm going to have to try."
He smiled, glad that his offer to help was appreciated. Tomorrow he would help out with the tent while they got ready for their adventure. Then, Antylamon asked him to wait for a moment as she went to go grab something. Before long she returned with a medicine bottle full of pills to help counteract seasickness should he have problems with it. "A-aw...thank you." He looked at the bottle as she set it on the table.
He thought about spices for a moment "Salt, pepper...I know there's some great spices to give any meal an extra kick if that's something you enjoy...could burn your mouth if you're not careful."
As the dishes were being done, he thought about their upcoming adventure. Once they were ready to go, she started to show him how to cast off and leave pier, which wasn't that difficult. He stood next to her as they sailed, content to just be spending this time with her as the boat sailed away from the port.

Well if you’re ever by them and I’m around I’ll try to help you.
The antylamon smiled warmly and couldn’t stop herself, leaning down to press her forehead against malik’s. She’d give him a small pat on the head and that smile split her face when he said that he would have to try someday.
And hopefully I’ll be there when you do try. It’ll be good for you to get past all that hurt.
She was glad that the pills would help the smaller mon; she knew when she started out with the legs and all that that she couldn’t really get the hang of it and needed them. But now she was used to it. She’d mull over what he suggested; salt. Pepper and some other spices that could give the food a ‘kick’. She wasn’t looking for setting her mouth on fire though!
I think more like, taste kick and not spice kick! We’ll have to go shopping next time we’re in whitewater~
It was pretty easy to show him what to do; after all the boat was just docked in such a manner where you had to adjust the rope and have someone remove them before hopping back on the boat. It was pretty easy and the antylamon would make sure malik didn’t get left behind when she did!
Once underway it was pretty simple, she’d adjust their heading time and time again. Making notes in a small book to one side. It was a sail log for the harbormaster so they could keep track of them if they ever made this journey again.
It’d take them most of the day to get there and with the sun slowly setting the antylamon would squint as the island yawned up in front of them. It looked foreboding and unwelcoming. But then again it was night time; and above the treeline there was some ruins of buildings that could be seen! Ancient and weathered… mostly.
All right we’re here! Let me go drop anchor...
She’d show him how to do that too and once done the antylamon would show the other where they’d be sleeping. Given that she wasn’t about to make malik sleep on the seats in the kitchen! It was a large king sized bed that took up much of the room it was in and the antylamon flopped down on it, silently groaning as it was a long day of standing. She’d pause after a moment; feeling herself blush and would reach over to pick up her writing tablet.
Malik… is it okay if I ask you something?
