Now they had a definite idea of where Mocha was, Kaya and Hawkeye followed Nanami and Cream up the stairs to the roof. But for some reason, Cream insisted that she would open up the door herself. "Um, are you sure about that, Cream?" Kaya asked with an unsure expression.
Turns out that Cream was definitely sure about that. Waiting for her to finally open the door was as if time itself had slowed down, and it was pretty hard to watch, partly because it looked like Cream was struggling. Hawkeye wanted to just open the door himself, since he was still tall enough, but Kaya grabbed his wing before he could do so, as if saying "let Cream have this one."
A million years later, after an issue with a clump of manure in the way, Cream had FINALLY opened the door, and looked completely out of breath after doing so. "Finally," Hawkeye muttered as he and Kaya walked through the door.
The rooftop garden was a mess. There was dirt everywhere, several of the bags were torn, and many of the plants, fruit and vegetables were completely thrown everywhere. Kaya let out an audible gasp at this sight, before the Digimon they had been searching for had shown up, an innocent smile on her face and asking for a lighter to start a fire, since that was what she was trying to do before.
The aura surrounding Kaya and Hawkeye was scary. VERY scary. The both walked right up to Mocha, as if they both had suddenly grown, their eyes both filled with anger. Mocha was DEFINITELY not getting off lightly for this.

"Huh? What do you two want? Am I supposed to know you or something?" Mocha gave the pair that stood in front of her a quizzical look. They both looked furious as they towered over the tiny Chocomon, but the baby Digimon was too foolhardy to back down even in the face of such an intimidating presence. "Look, if I owed you any money, that doesn't apply anymore! I think I got reformatted back into a baby Digimon, so I don't remember you! Oh, but I have my own human now, so she can give you a bunch! She said has a 'mom's credit card' that can buy anything!"
"You don't owe them money, Mocha!" Nanami corrected the baby Digimon, the anger in her voice apparent. "We're all mad because you've been making trouble all around the school!"
"Really? All I did was draw on the wall a little!" Mocha turned her head in confusion.
"You pulled the fire alarm! Everyone in the building had to evacuate!"
"How was I supposed to know that? It was just out there in the open! There was a lever, so I pulled it!" Mocha countered.
"You scared... uh... Takeshi-kun!"
"Who's that? That human from a little bit ago? I just asked if he had any matches and he suddenly started screaming and he fell down the stairs!"
"What about up here? You tore apart the garden!"
"Well, obviously!" Mocha countered. "Those bags read 'flammable', and that means fire, right? So I kind of needed them to burn this place down! Sheesh, Nanami, you're kind of dumb! I think I'm gonna call you 'Stupid Nanami'!"
"Don't! Absolutely not!" Nanami wanted to pull her hair out at the frustrating baby Digimon. Meanwhile, Cream hadn't even said a word towards her wayward sister. How was she supposed to convince the little Digimon that she was clearly doing something wrong!?

While Kaya and Hawkeye desperately wanted to lash out at this little troublemaker delinquent of a Digimon, Nanami pretty much had the explaining part covered, since Mocha as so confused on why they were all angry at her for some reason. Apparently her ultimate goal was to start a fire, which would have been... very bad.
"I've never been so mad anyone in my life..." Kaya muttered, her eye twitching a little bit.
"You disrupted the order at this human school all to start a fire that could potentially destroy it," Hawkeye told the little brown Digimon. "No matter what possible punishment I could possibly think of, they'd all be too good for you."
During this, Kaya looked down from the roof to see the large group of students going back inside. "Alright, they're coming back in. We're gonna be in a lot of trouble for not going with the others, they'll possibly blame us for pulling the alarm."
"And... you will take the blame if that happens?"
Kaya nodded. "It's not like we can tell them that a Digimon pulled it. Maybe Luneth will vouch for us too?" After saying that, Kaya put Hawkeye back into the V-Pet, before looking at Nanami once more. "It was nice to meet you and Cream, but please never let Mocha out in school ever again." Kaya then went back inside the school, hurrying to meet up with her classmates...

"See ya around," Cream called out as Kaya made her rather abrupt exit, going to rejoin the rest of the students as they were coming back. Yep. Kaya was definitely angry. So much for making a friend at school.Still, Nanami had something to discuss with her partners on the rooftop. She turned back to the clueless Chocomon and pointed accusingly at her.
"Why would you do such a thing in the first place!?" Nanami asked, half-angry, half-confused. "Why did you follow me to school!? And why did you try to burn down the school!?"
"Cause the human world is boring," Mocha calmly stated.
"And that's the reason you wanted to start a fire!?"
"No, I wanted to start a fire 'cause you'd rather be in this boring place rather than the Digital World!" The Chocomon gave the little girl an angry look.
"Of course I need to go to school!" Nanami countered. "I'm a student! I can't just go off and run away to some alien world!"
"Why not?" The anger in Mocha's voice was rising. "We came to the human world, but you can't be bothered to go our world? Is that it?"
"Of course not!" Nanami stated. "But I can't just uproot my entire life just because you two showed up yesterday! I need some time to prepare!"
"Then how much time, Stupid Nanami?" The Chocomon crawled closer towards the girl. "Cause it didn't even seem like you were interested in the first place! How much longer do Cream and I have to stay in this boring world?"
Nanami realized that by ignoring her partners, she had hurt their feelings. Cream seemed to be able to take it in stride, but Mocha definitely didn't have that kind of maturity. And to lash out, the baby Digimon wanted to burn down the school, since to the Digimon, the place Nanami seemed to favor over the two creatures who appeared in this foreign world just to see the girl. What Mocha was doing was so incredibly, frustratingly, reckless. But Nanami could tell that the Digimon wasn't acting out of any malevolence.
She was just a scared, confused child that was out of place in this world, and didn't know why she was born like this. Something the human girl could empathize with all too well.
So even though the baby Digimon definitely didn't deserve it, the little girl got down on her hands and knees and bowed her head down to the Chocomon. There was a pile of manure pressing against her forehead, but Nanami's head remained touching the roof floor.
"Nanami..." Cream looked on to her tamer with surprise.
"Hey... what's the big deal... why are you bowing like that...?" Mocha nearly gasped.
"I'm sorry, Mocha. And I'm sorry, Cream. I never meant to just make you think that I didn't care about you two, but... I was really surprised myself, so I tried to go to school like everything was normal."
"But everything's not normal for us!" Mocha yelled out.
"And that's why I'm apologizing!" Nanami added. "But I won't do that anymore!" She turned her head up towards the brown baby Digimon.
"Hey, Stupid Nanami, you've got poo-"
"I already know that, but I'm trying to apologize!" An embarrassed Nanami yelled back, taking the Chocomon off-guard once more. "Give me one week! If you and Cream can stay put for one week, then we'll all go to the Digital World! And we'll stay there for as long as you'd like, okay?"
"I promise!" Nanami's unwavering gaze met Mocha's for a long minute, until the Chocomon finally had to look away.
"One hit..." Mocha finally muttered.
"I'm still mad at you!" Mocha yelled out. "If you let me hit you as hard as I can one time, then I'll accept your apology!"
"What good would hitting me do? Just accept my apology!" Nanami stood up, wiping the manure off her forehead.
"Stupid Nanami! It does me a lot of good! Just one hit! Then I'll patiently wait with Cream until you're done with all of your stupid human world stuff! I promise!"
Nanami gave the Chocomon a curious look. Well... she really didn't feel like getting hit, but it didn't look like the little Digimon could hurt her very much. "Fine! One hit! Even though I still think this is really stupid!" Mocha just stared at the little girl as she turned her cheek towards her.. "Well, what are you waiting for? Hit me!"
"Stupid Nanami! Lower your head! I can't reach you up there!" Mocha barked. Nanami got down on her hands and knees and Mocha immediately started rushing towards her.
Nanami's promise to Mocha and Cream. And Mocha's promise to Nanami. Even though they had already met yesterday, these promises truly sparked their partnership between human and Digimon partners. Their intentions were a little different, but one could say that their emotions were clearly resonating with each other.
Nanami's Digivice began to emit a white light, and Cream and Mocha's form suddenly began to glow and change. Their In-Training forms suddenly erupted into their Rookie forms. Their colors remained similar, but they took the form of a rabbit-like creature with large ears and tiny limbs. And apparently unaware of her transformation, Mocha the Lopmon suddenly spun around at a high speed and continued her charge towards her human partner.
"Petite Twister!!!" Mocha shouted out.
"Wait, what's go-" She couldn't finish her sentence as Mocha collided with the girl's face. Nanami was sent flying back, collapsing next to Cream, still by the door.
"There! Now I feel better, Stupid Na-" Mocha suddenly noticed Cream's Terriermon form, and then examined herself. "Oh, hey, we Digivolved again!"
"Mocha!" Cream suddenly yelled out in a panic. "What did you do!?" She gestured to the unmoving Nanami.
"Really? She went down in one hit!?" Mocha exclaimed. "Cream, what kind of weak tamer did we end up with!?"
"That's really not the issue here!" Cream insisted. "Remember what Kaya said? That Nanami would get in trouble if she didn't re-join the rest of the humans?"
"Huh? Who's Kaya?" Mocha tilted her head curiously. Was that a name she was supposed to recognize?
"Mocha, we need to focus here! If Nanami gets into a lot of trouble in the human world, she might not be able to take us back to the Digital World!" Mocha's face dropped and both bunnies began to panic. Mocha took a look at her surroundings.
"Wait, Cream! I have an idea! Gather as much dirt and manure as you can, and we'll just bury her until she wakes up! She can't get in trouble if no one is able to find her!"
And so Nanami's school day ended with the girl waking up in a pile of... smelly dirt, and both her partners unwilling to tell her what happened, or why they suddenly looked different.
