Stacy had been spending the last couple days at the Spartan Training Grounds. She had been sparring with Dinohumon in as Hinookamimon and Blitzwolfmon to get better control of her abilities. She had a feeling that so far her success might have been partly good luck and figured more control would benefit her in the long run. The last few nights had been noisy but once Stacy feel asleep she slept through all the noise even though she was curious what all the fuss was about. She doubted most digimon were sparring at night except the occasional nocturnal species, sort of like her.
The next day she exited the tent she had been set up in the last few days only to see Dinohumon looking worried about something. Following the dinosaur digimon's line of vision she saw hoof prints and gashes littered about. While it was true that these training grounds were full of various forms of damage from many different kinds of attacks, it was these particular marks that had Dinohumon looking worried to the point of nearly panicking.
Deciding it was time to try to do a little damage control, Stacy approached Dinohumon and calmly asked him "What's wrong? Is there something about these marks and hoof prints that doesn't seem right?"
Dinohumon jumped at Stacy's kind voice, though scaring him had not been her intention, and spun around to face her before he worriedly said "This damage is a warning. I'm not sure if you are aware but the last few nights a digimon by the name of Vajramon has been coming here and it wasn't just to train. He is a viciously strong digimon that has been driving away humans who come here but since so few train at night, he told me that he was coming this afternoon to deal with the rest of the humans here."
"Why would this Vajramon have a problem? I thought digimon and humans alike were welcome here to train, Dinohumon." Stacy said as she briefly glanced at the hoof prints and boy they were big. This Vajramon must be a very large digimon to make such marks in the ground.
Her attention shifted back to Dinohumon when he said "Normally what you say is true but Vajramon has a deep rooted hatred of humans and has only recently caused trouble. In his last stage he was a mere nuisance but now that he's digivolved…" Dinohumon grew silent as he began to pace back and forth before he frantically said "Now I'm worried. I thought I had evacuated all the humans but I forgot that you aren't what you call a morning person. Now what do I do? You should go. If you stay here you'd only be in danger."
"If he's always been a problem, why didn't you deal with him before things got this out of hand?" Stacy voice got Dinohumon's attention as he stopped pacing and looked at her. "If you need help I could.."
"No!" Dinohumon interrupted with a panicked shout before he said "You don't understand. Neither of us have a chance against him now. He has digivolved into the ultimate level and, as you already learned while sparring with me, I am a champion level digimon. Vajramon is on his way here and he is not coming here to merely spar but to attempt to obliterate you since you're the only human still here."
"And since I can only reach as far as the champion level." Stacy said thoughtfully before she shook her head "No, Dinohumon. I can't just let Vajramon do as he pleases. What if he starts targeting Tamers, Spirit Wielders, and Xros Generals that are weaker than us? We have to make a stand."
"Have you lost your mind? He would rip us apart even if we worked together. I'm sorry but I can't help you fight a futile fight." At Stacy's disappointed look he then said as hoof beats were heard approaching at a fast pace "I'll make one more pass around the Training Grounds and double check to see if all the humans were evacuated before I make a run to Rosewood for help." With those final words Dinohumon took off in a full run.
'Looks like I'm on my own with this Vajramon. Shame too seeing as I could of used Dinohumon's help.' She thought as she reached into the left pocket of her black leather jacket and pulled out her D-Tector. Grasping it tightly in her left hand like she always did before she spirit evolved. Fractal coding appeared around her right hand as she then ran it over the top of her D-Tector. It was now or never as the sound of hooves drew ever closer. "Execute! Human Spirit Evolution!" The fractal coding wrapped around her resulting in her body glowing with a warm and comforting holy energy. The sound of hooves were drowned out by the sound of a wolf howling as the holy light faded revealing a humanoid digimon with red wolf themed armor. "Blitzwolfmon!"
The sound of hooves slowed after the wolf howl had finished sounding. Not that it mattered, considering that seconds later a large ox digimon stomped into sight. Unlike a regular ox, he had four legs and a pair of strong arms reminding Blitzwolfmon of a centaur as well. Curiously, Vajramon had two gold horns that were more like a bull than an ox and a third gold horn, that was much shorter, between them. Vajramon was wearing mostly red armor with gold trim and on the creature's belt were a pair of sheathed swords with one being on each side. Blitzwolfmon had a feeling he would be more than willing to use those swords too.
Hoping she could convince him to leave and showing confidence she hardly felt, she walked up to the dangerous and angry looking ox digimon before she said "Easy there. There's no need for trouble. No humans are here any longer. Dinohumon evacuated them."
The Vajramon glared at Blitzwolfmon with cruel glowing red eyes before he said "Do you take me for a fool? You have the smell of human all over you. You're nothing but a spirit wielder. A wannabe that can harness the power of creatures superior to you." His hands started moving toward his swords his intent clear.
'He can smell the human that I once was so he was able to perceive my true nature uncomfortably quick. I have to come up with something quick before he splatters me all over the training grounds.' Blitzwolfmon thought as she tried to come up with an answer. This was the strongest threat she had faced on her own so far so she had to come up with something and quick. Thoughts whirled through her head at high speed as they threatened to give her a headache. Then a crazy, but not neccessarily, idea came to mind and she hoped that it was enough to at least temporarily deal with this guy until she could flee to find help. This situation now made her want to kick herself for her sheer foolish and stubborn pride. If she was lucky, she would live to see another day. If not, well she didn't want the negative thoughts of how Vajramon could end her life to enter her head.
Flexing her claws as she readied herself, she then dashed forward toward Vajramon. However, as he was about to stomp her, she suddenly veered right and ran alongside him. Then to his surprise, not only did she hop onto his back, but she also wrapped her arms around his neck in a sleeper hold. Her plan was to lull him to sleep then flee for help like Dinohumon had done. As one would expect, Vajramon did not take kindly to Blitzwolfmon climbing on his back and became downright enraged when her arms went around his neck.
Vajramon then preceded to buck voilently hard and surprisingly fast with his back legs kicking high. This effort had no turned into a rodeo ride but only if Blitzwolfmon let go there was a chance she wouldn't be alive for very long. She flinched in pain as each buck became more violent and unpleasant. At the point the bucking had gotten to, she was glad she hadn't eaten yet, or Vajramon's back would have also been decorated with vomit. Blitzwolfmon didn't have a sensitive stomach by any means but one did have their limits, after all. Another violent buck came next causing pain to shoot through her shoulders. It seemed by some miracle they weren't dislocated as, much to her frustration, it seemed she didn't have the physical strength to drop this ox with a sleeper hold. Before she let go of him to bolt for it, however, the bucking had stopped and she felt a strong pair of hands grab hold of her before lifting her lightweight body over his head.
She didn't have time to attempt to wiggle free as Vajramon then threw her a good ten feet easy her body dragging along the ground with rocks scratching her face along the way. He then unsheathed each blade planning to end this encounter that he considered no more than a nuisance. Crossing those meanacing swords together he yelled "Deva Blade!" A powerful beam burst forth from the swords heading toward Blitzwolfmon's sliding body.
Fortunately, for Blitzwolmon, dumb luck seemed on her side as she tumbled into one of the gouges in the land falling on her back with a whimper as the pain from the previous rodeo stunt lanced through her body. Vajramon's attack exploded just behind her head causing dirt to rain down on her. She hissed as some of the dirt got in the open cut on her cheek but made no other sound. She didn't need to since Vajramon was creating quite a fuss while stomping and roaring in rage after not being able to find her supposed remains. As she lay there she brushed the excess dirt off herself until a glint caught her attention. Turning toward it she spotted what looked like a fragment similar to the one of Blitzwolfmon's power that she found in Rustport. Only this one had a tiny blue and red flame in the shard. Reaching out to it, the shard responding to her, she held it in the palm of her hand. She then looked above her where the shard had obviously been knocked loose by Vajramon's attack. Maybe this form would give her the chance she needed to stop this ox. There was only one way to find out.
Reverting back to her human state, Stacy channeled the shards energy as it entered her D-Tector. "All right! It's now or never! Execute! Beast Fragment Evolution!" The Spirit's instincts guided her again as she was enveloped in a holy light that caused her to float just out of the trench she fell into. She began to take shape into a form bigger than her other ones as Vajramon watched in shock. A wolf howl was heard as the holy light vanished revealing what looked like a white Cerberus with three wolf heads. The head in the middle was the biggest and wore a holy ring like a collar around its neck. "Lupinecerberusmon!"
The ten foot tall holy digimon stared down Vajramon with her brown eyes that were on all three heads. Looking confident, Vajramon reared up with a shout "Terra Blade!" Vajramon then struck the ground with his swords and forehooves at the same time creating a shockwave heading toward her at high speed.
"Light of Enlightenment!"Lupinecerberusmon said as she closed her eyes and a golden light enveloped her body. As the shockwave drew closer her eyes snapped open and she moved with enhanced speed evading the shockwave and moving behind Vajramon.
Closing in on Vajramon she threw her full body weight into the ox digimon from behind. Vajramon roar turned into a squeak of surprise as the inertia used by Lupinecerberusmon 's charge sent him tumbling head first into the trench she was lucky enough to fall into. It didn't seem lucky for Vajramon though as he was now stuck upside down in the trench desperately kicking his back legs in a vain attempt to free himself. It was then that Lupinecerberusmon caught sight of Dinohumon finally returning with various digimon for reinforcements. Deciding she had enough of the Spartan Training Grounds she returned to her human state and limped in a bowlegged state to the nearest Trailmon while rubbing her sore posterior.
