Alternate Title: When going to school, leaving your pets at home can break your heart. But bringing your pets with you can be even worse.
It had been one full day since the Mocha the Cocomon and Cream the Zerimon had hatched and found themselves in this bizarre place. Connected by some mysterious force to some human girl, the sisters decided to try and make the most of their new lives here.
Not that Mocha could remember much about her past lives. Cream always seemed to know a thing or two that she didn't, but as usual, her sister remained tight-lipped until Mocha could ask the right questions. And 20 Questions was one of Mocha's least favorite games to play.
Upon meeting the girl, the pair already realized they were in trouble. Mocha could tell that the stupid human couldn't understand a single thing that Cream tried to explain to her. Seriously, how hard was it to grasp super basic stuff like Digimon, Digivolution, and the Digital World? Even babies knew about those, and the twins should know!
Regardless, Mocha didn't think too much of the human they were bonded with. Nananana, or something else repetitive-sounding. Cream probably remembered it. Cream was better at remembering the boring stuff so Mocha felt like she could leave it to her sister. And since it was Cream's job to do all the boring stuff that Mocha didn't want to, it meant that it was up to Mocha to make things exciting and make sure the two of them aren't bored all the time.
So there was no way that the two of them could stay holed up in the stupid girl's room all day while she went out to school. So the Cocomon decided to engineer a genius plan. She decided to make Bananana run late by intentionally pooping in the human girl's sink. Besides, it was also revenge for assuming that Mocha and Cream were so dumb they didn't know how to use a toilet in the first place.
After that, the pair would sneak out and tail the human all the way to her school. The girl would be so panicked that she was running late that she wouldn't even notice the two Digimon hopping behind her. Unfortunately... Mocha may have miscalculated a bit. Since the humans didn't have Digimon in this world, she assumed there wouldn't be any Trailmon in this world, either. So when Nanami stepped into one the pair weren't able to get to it in time. And the human Trailmon were considerably more rude than the ones in the Digital World. They wouldn't even give the pair the time of day, let alone tell them where the stupid human was going! Mocha wanted to do something to get even with the mean Trailmon, but they didn't have the time. They needed to find a way to catch up.
Thankfully, Mocha and Cream could smell the stupidity of the little human girl from miles away. Her stench stuck out above all other humans for some strange reason, and the further she got from them, the... weirder the pair began to feel. They felt... a little more lethargic than they should have been. All the more reason to find the stupid girl and... what was the plan again? It was either slapping her or talking to her... Meh. No reason they couldn't do both.
They had managed to hop their way North, until they arrived at the strangest change in scenery. Out in the openness of the park, the pair stood out more than ever, and more and more people began to stop and stare at them. Even more began to pull their phones out and point them towards the pair. No doubt an attempt to scan their data or something. Yet they all had the same surprised, dumb-founded expression that the human girl had. They would no doubt be useless if pressed for information.
