"Well that is reassuring indeed. Stacy already seems like she gets into adequate trouble as it is."
Faustein had remarked, snickering at Stacy's expense while pointing out her nature as a trouble magnet. Just then, he had noticed Stacy reminisce about an ox digimon which she had apparently fought some time ago and how she was just able to manage fending off said digimon with the help of her spirit fraction, LupineCerberusmon.
"I see, I suppose we'll will know what its abilities are once you actually obtain this water based form and don its mantle. Incidentally. which of the elements are controlled by this spirit fraction of yours?"
He asked Stacy, while memorizing the earlier data she had given him on the sibject and then turned to Dolphmon once more as he waited for Stacy's reply
"Sound manipulation and water manipulation, eh? The sound aspect will be very useful, especially if there are a large number of your fellow Dolphmon in the vicinity. That is of course, presuming that the laws of physics actually apply just as much here in the Digital World as they would in the human one."
He paused there to collect his thoughts and then resumed
"How many members comprise your pod, would you say, Dolphmon? Furthermore, are they as developed as you are in terms of combat ability?"
Then, he fell silent while awaiting the Dolphmon's reply as well and in the interim, he kept a watchful eye in the open ocean around them just in case the Gesomon decided to launch an ambush.

"You act like I go outta my way to get into trouble. Most digimon I've been fighting lately attacked me first. Would you prefer the local digimon to murder me?" Stacy said with a shake of her head. "As for the fractions I control, they are both of the holy element."
"Unfortunately my pod has fled in fear of Gesomon. Most of us are non confrontational but I volunteered to stay near the temple to guard the spirit from potential theft or destruction. That and I was the best fighter the pod had." Dolphmon replied in response to Faust.
"I don't know about the laws of physics being the same as they are in the Human World. Once, before I could become Blitzwolfmon, a glitch happened near where I was meditating and I had to fight off a werewolf." Stacy said with amusement in her tone of voice.
Dolphmon came to a halt causing Stacy to stop her motorcycle. "We're here. The temple is below us."
With a nod of her head, Stacy became Blitzwolfmon and said "Getting down there should be no problem. I can't swim but I can still sink just fine." With those words she put the mini scuba kit on and jumped in sinking like a brick. Assuming Faust would follow, Dolphmon dove down after her.

"Oh, now THAT would truly be a travesty. After all, I would be so very lost...without my dear, beloved Floofmon."
Faustein had remarked in response to Stacy's presumably rhetorical query regarding whether or not he wished the denizens of the Digital World to eliminate her. As he finished, he had that same smug, highly amused smirk on his face. Then, he had turned to the Dolphmon and after thinking about what he had said, Faustein spoke again
"I see, I had hoped that we may be able to use superior numbers to overwhelm that belligerent Gesomon, but it sounds like that will not be so easy. By the way, are there any cave systems nearby where we can trap the Gesomon perhaps? I mean long enough for us to mount an offensive while Stacy goes about acquiring that aquatic form of hers.?"
He had asked and then had turned to Stacy while explaining the idea he had initially conceived
"Ah, a glitch, you say? That sounds like an intriguing research topic for me. Well, I mentioned the laws of physics since there is this one called the Principle of Superimposition. Essentially, whenever there are two waveforms which are in phase and have similar enough frequencies, they tend to merge together, crest to trough, in order to make the intensity rise several fold. However, it would require an entire pod of Dolphmon or some other sound manipulating digimon group to perform effectively."
By the time he had finished, they had arrived at the location of the Temple, so after Stacy in her Blitzwolfmon form and Dolphmon dived, so too did Faustein, once he had equipped himself once more with the mini scuba unit. Together with him, Taser and Lego, his two digimon also dived steadily and slowly to avoid pressure damage.

Blitzwolfmon shook her head at Faust's first sentence. His love of floofy things seemed to surpass his love of science at times and she had learned that quickly the hard way when she first met him.
At the mention of caves, Dolphmon said "No cave system but there is a small cave near the temple. Unfortunately there is no way Gesomon would fit inside. The opening is barely big enough to fit you and Blitzwolfmon."
"So an average sized human would barely fit inside that cave." Then a sudden thought hit her and she said "What if the cave is where the spirit is kept?"
"It's entirely possible because all my pod remembers is the spirit totem is just outside the temple but over time the exact location has been lost." Dolphmon replied.
"Hmm. For all I know, this water form of mine might have sound based moves but even then it would take more than just me and Dolphmon to generate that wave."
The remenant of an undersea temple came into view as Blitzwolfmon touched down on solid ground and looked around before spotting the cave. Gesomon was no where in sight so far and that suited her just fine. Soon she spotted the small cave Dolphmon spoke of and it would indeed be a tight fit with the entrance being barely wider than herself. She had considered becoming Hinookamimon since that form was smaller but she didn't want to be left any more vulnerable than she already was underwater.
She slowly and carefully approached the cave keeping alert for Gesomon. However her caution proved irritatingly futile as a white tentacle was seen shortly before she was struck in the side and sent flying to the mouth of the cave from the sheer force of the blow. As she sat up she only had seconds to react before she was knocked into the tight cave before another strike from the tentacles caused a cave in and trapped Blitzwolfmon within.
"Oh my, how clumsy of me. Looks like that will be the end of her. Too bad. She was a pretty little puppy." Gesomon said with a sadistic chuckle. Things looked bad indeed.

No caves big enough to trap Gesomon inside, eh? Well, I suppose that means yet another revision of my battle plan is in order. What a drag...
Faustein had thought exasperatedly, but nevertheless maintained that same impassive facial expression and even tone as he had responded to Stacy's remark
"Yes, that would be most fortuitous indeed. Taser and Lego are Rookie stage digimon and so, they would not be able to match the Gesomon which is a Champion level, even if they fought together with Dolphmon. So our smartest option would be to find this totem of yours and deploy it at the earliest opportunity."
He had mused aloud as they had been swimming about in search of the cave near the Sea Temple which Dolphmon had spoken of earlier in their conversation. After several attempts, they had found the cave and had been preparing to go inside when Gesomon appeared without warning and struck at Stacy, slamming her into the cave and causing the cave to collapse on top of her. As if that were not enough, it even gloated about her impending demise.
"Holy Heisenberg, can you not keep away from us, o ye foul Gesomon?You are quite the irksome creature indeed."
Faustein let out an exasperated groan, signifying his disgruntled frame of mind as he saw what the Gesomon had done, but then focused his attention on the impending battle while coming up with a strategy
Electricity is off limits since its underwater...it is imperative that this battle happen on dry land...but where...
He trailed off his thoughts as he happened to notice something shimmering around the Sea Temple, as though it had some sort of barrier or protective bubble around it. So he signaled to Taser in which he had installed the walkie talkie unit and it swam up next to the Dolphmon. Then, he relayed the message as surreptitiously as possible
"What data do you have on the interior of that Sea Temple?"
Faustein asked while his mental gears whirred rapidly as his brain started to concoct a new strategy which would hopefully allow them to outmaneuver the Gesomon.

As the cave in happened, Blitzwolfmon had managed to scramble to her feet and run deeper into the cave. She narrowly avoided becoming crushed and looked at the rocks that blocked her escape. Moving over to the rocks she gently touched one of them before she attempted to shove it aside. However, the slightest movement made more rocks fall causing her to scramble back. She doubted she could use her Pyro Ball to free herself because she was underwater. Either the fire would fizzle out or she would create steam that had the chance of boiling her alive. Neither options were appealing but, then again, remaining trapped was just as unappealing.
Turning around she started making her way deeper into the cave hoping she would find her way out. As she went in deeper she noticed that the cave widened significantly compared to the tight entrance. Glancing around the large area she spotted what looked like an alter in the back of the cave with what looked like a powder blue creature with spots and stripes curled up in a ball. "That looks like some kind of totem. Could this be the one mentioned by Dolphmon?"
Deciding there was only one way to find out she returned back to her human form and brought out her D-Tector. The totem reacted by glowing and she pointed her digivice at it. The totem was drawn inside her D-Tector shortly after. Deciding it was time to see what this totem could do she ran her right hand, which was surrounded by fractal coding, over the top of her D-Tector and said "Execute! Human spirit evolution!" A swirl of water wrapped around her body as she began to digivolve. A short time later the water dispersed revealing a six foot tall powder blue anthropomorphic feline with a broad tail ending in a flipper. "Nanamimon!"
Now that she was Nanamimon she got a better look at herself. She had course fur with spots and stripes identical to a fishing cat but most curiously she had webbed fingers and toes. Looking at the alter she noticed it had sunk into the floor. Her instincts seemed to be helping her out again as a bubble of wind appeared in the palm of her hand before she threw it "Hurricane Burst!" A chunk of the wall blew away with explosive force but it would take her more that one shot to blast her way out but at least she would soon be free.
Meanwhile, outside the cave, the only response Faust got from Gesomon was cruel laughter.
Dolphmon answered Faust's question "The temple is quite strange with some corridors of ocean water and others of dry land which is why my pod and I rarely enter."

Faustein had frowned ever so slightly when his attempt to male Gesomon leave them in peace had failed, but then upon hearing what Dolphmon had said about the Sea Temple, that frown morphed into a smirk as his mental gears whirred faster than ever as a practicable plan started to form in his mind at last.
Dry land...surrounded by water...electricity....electrolysis...hydrogen and oxygen, yes this should be effective enough.
Then, he continued conversing with the Dolphmon in the same hushed tones
"Follow me into the Sea Temple, we are going to lure the Gesomon inside in order to enact my new battle plan. Can you attempt to disorient the Gesomon with your sound wave ability in order to facilitate this?"
He asked the Dolphmon while instructing Taser and Lego on a private channel so that it would begin preparations
"Prepare units for assault wave #2."
Then, he and his two digimon began to swim towards the Sea Temple in order to lure the Gesomon towards that location, but not too far from the Dolphmon so that they could swim back to assist it against Gesomon if necessary. As they swam, Taser began to surreptitiously charge electricity in its body while Lego prepared its body to disassemble at a moment's notice.

"I can help but I'm not that confident in areas where there would be land even though other marine digimon have been able to function on land, we are strongest in the water." Dolphmon said as he briefly glanced in the direction of the cave where faint explosions were heard. Apparently the human had not only found the spirit but was blasting her way out from the back of the cave judging by the faint noise that was heard.
Though not confident with the plan, Dolphmon knew this strange human named Faust had a potentially good idea. With one last glance at the cave, he followed the general and his partners hoping things would work out.
Meanwhile, back in the cave, Nanamimon had blown a large hole in the back wall with her Hurricane Burst. Now there was only a bit more to go before she had found freedom. Channeling her power a large ball of wind formed between her hands and she launched it in a fashion similar to launching a chi blast. "Hurricane Burst!" The last of the wall blocking her freedom exploded and she stepped out of the cave.
As if instinct was driving her she jumped and began to swim fluidly through the water. Maybe since she had webbed fingers and toes as well as a broad swimming flipper she figured this evolution line may be the only time she'd be able to swim so she wasn't complaining. As she swam her fur, spots and stripes included, changed color to ocean blue allowing her access to a natural camouflage. 'This is handy. With this I should be able to approach unseen.'
By the time she got back to the temple she noticed that no one was around so she decided to wait for them to return.

As he swam further and further towards the Sea Temple along with Dolphmon and his two partners Taser the Kokuwamon and Lego the ShadowToyAgumon, Faustein brief turned toward the Gesomon and taunted it. He did this in an attempt to expedite the process, especially since they were positioned some 20 feet away from it and so had a decent head start "Gesomon!! What is the matter with you, is that behemoth cephalopod corpus of yours impeding your maneuverability?! Where is your pride, eh?! You do not deserve the title of apex predator if you are this lethargic in hunting your prey!!"Needless to say, the Gesomon grew incensed at the vulnerable little human known as Faustein for making light of it in that manner, so it took the bait and came hurtling toward Faustein and his party with the enraged warcry "YOU PUNY HUMAN!! HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME, THE MIGHTY GESOMON!! I WILL SNAP YOU LIKE A TWIG!!"Of course, Faustein and company were not going to be caught so easily, so they increased their speed dramatically and entered one of the hidden passages leading into the Sea Temple. After traversing it, they found that it led to a dry land chamber which was surrounded by water in a sort of ring shape. Then, upon Faustein's instruction, Dolphmon fired off a series of sound waves at the Gesomon in order to disorient it, albeit just to a minor degree due to the level difference between them. "Dolphmon, leap out of the water on my signal...3, 2, and 1, now!!"Since it had agreed to follow his instructions, the Dolphmon built up momentum and leaped high into the air, reaching some 15 feet and confused the Gesomon even further. At the same time. Faustein and his digimon which were positioned some 15 feet away from the water's edge made their move. Namely, Taser which had been building up electricity in its body all this while, let loose one of its electrical attacks "Enemy unit within range...Engage Battle Protocol...Combat Subroutine Beta, set...Execute: Lightning Arrow!"Wiht that, it focused the electrical energy in its body between its plug horns and then fired it at the water in the form of a medium sized, blinding arrow of electricity. Upon impact, due to the conductivity of the ocean water and the salts therein, the electricity surged through the Gesomon's body, causing a loud, monstrous wail of excruciating agony which could probably be heard all around the Temple and perhaps even outside it due to the power being amplified even further due to Taser's analytical ability spotting the giant squid digimon's weaknesses.

The racket from the temple got the attention of Nanamimon and she turned her gaze towards the undersea temple. 'Explains where everyone went.' she thought as she wondered why Faust would go inside the temple and risk being buried alive if it collapsed. Though Gesomon was very mobile underwater it was better to attack him out in the open then in a building. Boy were some digimon destructive. She, as Blitzwolfmon and her current form of Nanamimon, could blow holes in walls and possibly collapse the temple herself.
Nanamimon, still camouflaged, considered entering the temple to help but wasn't sure if it was a good idea. Between Gesomon and Dolphmon alone there were two champion stage digimon in there and one champion level digimon could make short work of that temple if it tried. 'At least Taser electric abilities could be a great help until they get out of that temple.' she thought.

"YOU PESTS!! HOW DARE YOU RESIST YOUR ANNIHILATION?! GIVE UP NOW AND SURRENDER YOUR LIVES TO ME AND I SHALL END THEM SWIFTLY AS AN ACT OF MERCY!!"
The Gesomon said with a sadistic smile and a monstrous blood curdling chuckle as the Dolphmon dove back into the ring of water just in time when the electricity faded from the water. Naturally, the Gesomon struck out against the Dolphmon, but thankfully due to the difference in their sizes and the fact that Taser's electrical attack was causing its movements to slow down just a bit, Dolphmon was able to evade it each time. Meanwhile, Faustein was intensely focused on his analysis of the Gesomon's movements and so, neither he nor his two partners paid any heed or backed down from the battle. Needless to say, the Dolphmon did not flee in fear either, so it seemed as though the battle would continue for the time being. It is imperative that we reduce Gesomon's mobility still further...maybe if it can be tempted onto dry land, since it is a sea based digimon...furthermore, I can safely entangle it with my grappling hook and since the chain is metallic, perhaps it can channel Taser's electrical attacks to the entrapped Gesomon.With that thought in mind, he taunted the Gesomon yet again while also doing a incensing beckoning gesture and a smug, irritatingly contemptuous smirk on his thin lips "You want to kill me, eh? Well, then extricate yourself from the water and come and face me on this terra firma. Let me behold with my own two eyes whether or not that vain bravado issuing from you has any real substance."The Gesomon was clearly angry now, as could be seen from the multiple veins bulging and pulsing on the surface of its head. However, it still seemed to hesitate a little, perhaps since it had experienced what his digimon were capable of earlier.

Nanamimon swam back and forth in front of the temple as Gesomon's angry bellow was heard. That alone was tempting enough to make her want to swim into the temple again but she was able to reign herself in once again. Obviously Faust was executing some crazy plan inside the temple but what he was plotting was still unknown to the aquatic feline digimon. Swimming near the temple she waited near the entrance of the temple and waited for Gesomon to come out of the temple.
Having no armor and much shorter claws was something she wasn't accustomed to in this form. Having webbed fingers and toes was new to her too but as long as she could swim in this form she wasn't going to complain. Though she was a marine digimon she was still wearing the mini scuba kit which enabled land creatures like she started as to breathe underwater.

What is this human scheming to do now? I better be careful...but then, on land, he won't be able to use his electricity that effectively, right?The Gesomon had thought while hesitating to move onto the patch of dry land where Faustein now stood, taunting him. After all, making the mistake of following him into the temple had been a costly mistake. However, before long, his taunting had gotten to it despite its intellect, so it let loose another angry bellow "YOU DARE TAUNT ME, YOU PUNY HUMAN?! THAT'S IT!! YOU'RE A DEAD MAN WALKING!!"With that loud war cry, the Gesomon heaved itself out of the water with its two largest tentacles and landed on the circular patch of dry land several paces away from Faustein and his two digimon, Taser and Lego. Then, it wasted no time in whipping one of those same tentacles in an effort to capture Faustein along with his digimon. However, at that same time, the Dolphmon had entered the Gesomon's blindspot stealthily, using its distraction to his advantage and then fired off its sonic attack at point blank range at the Gesomon's back "Pulse Blast!!"As the ultrasonic sound waves slammed into the Gesomon, it let out another wail of agony, but thanks to being on land, it was not able to use its full agility and the fact that the Dolphmon's ultrasonic attack disoriented it only exacerbated that. Still, it could not let the Dolphmon off easy and decided to punish it for its insolence. With that, it whipped the other long, free tentacle backward in an attempt to hit the Dolphmon, but it was to no avail. The Dolphmon had already darted away at the high speed which was characteristic of its species and was once again out of range. Faustein took this opportunity to fire off his grapping gun module and angled it so that the weight of the large hook at the end and the high speed of the firing mechanism would cause the chain to entangle itself temporarily around the large tentacle that was hurtling toward him. Then, he threw his body weight to the side in order to cause the Gesomon to be knocked off balance. Simultaneously, Taser and Lego commenced their second attack round with Taser going first " Enemy unit within range...Engage Battle Protocol...Combat Subroutine Gamma, set...Execute: Mjolnir Impact!!!"As per usual, Taser charged a large amount of electricity in its legs and then somersaulted through the air before landing squarely on the Gesomon's head, causing another surge of high voltage electricity to rip through the Gesomon's body, causing another haunting wail of agony due to its weakness to electrical attacks and also because of Taser attacking one of its weak points. For its part, Lego fired off its two upper limbs like a pair of rockets at the Gesomon, intending to injure its tentacle. "Enemy unit within range...Engage Battle Protocol...Combat Subroutine Gamma, set...Execute: Block Rockets!!!"This time, however, the Gesomon had whipped the other free tentacle around and successfully managed to knock the missiles off their trajectory. Consequently, these rocket upper limbs collided with one of the archways of the chamber and blew it to rubble with a deafening explosion, albeit somewhat muffled due to the protective bubble around the Sea Temple. Afterward Lego regenerated its upper limbs once more.

The racket inside the temple coupled with the fact that Faust, Taser, and Lego had not come back out caused Nanamimon to twitch her tail nervously. Like Human World cats her tail was stiff indicating how uneasy she was. The itch to enter the temple was nearly overpowering but she determined to stay outside.
'Come on Faust, come out of there. Things are risky enough to you with two champion level digimon in there. It's a miracle the temple hasn't collapsed on your head from the attacks.' she thought as she swam a couple laps around the temple realizing that this form was seemingly faster than Blitzwolfmon while she was underwater. She was probably almost as fast as a torpedo judging by how fast she finished the two laps around the temple before she settled back in position next to the temple entrance again. Looking at the entrance her retractable cat claws flicked in and out.

Meanwhile, the Gesomon had been flailing and ultimately managed to slip its entangled tentacle free from the grappling hook's chain and was now chasing Faustein back and forth on the small patch of dry land that he and his two partners were on currently. Due to it continuing to flail in futile attempts to capture them, one by one the chamber's supports began to crumble and since this chamber was the support base for the rest of the Temple, it visibly began to collapse and break down into rubble. Finally, from amidst all this, the Gesomon emerged, gloating in its victorious capture of Faustein and Taser in one tentacle and Lego in the other. "NOW I HAVE FINALLY GOT YOU PESKY WORMS!! PREPARE TO MEET YOUR PROGRAMMER!!"Now that it was in its most suitable element once more, it was agile and had regained its power as well which in turn led to the sadistic way in which it was slowly attempting to squeeze the life out of Faustein and his partners. Of course, Dolphmon tried to pry them free by attacking Gesomon with more of its sonic attacks, but it was to no avail. Faustein could feel the pressure on his body mounting slowly but surely in that tentacle trap since he and his partners were cocooned in a watertight manner. Curses...drawing breath...becoming more challenging...wait...since it has us wrapped up...this could actually be in our...favor after all, the electricity would not diffuse outward...to hit Dolphmon due to the nature of its body...need to act quickly...With that thought in his slowly fading consciousness, he gave silent instructions to Taser and Lego to attack it full force. The two went on alert as usual and used their attacks one after the other "Enemy unit within range...Engage Battle Protocol...Combat Subroutine Beta, set...Execute: Lightning Arrow!!"
As per usual, Taser gathered a moderate amount of electrical energy and then blasted the Gesomon with all of it at point blank range, targeting the vulnerabilities in its structure, or rather that of the tentacle trap, causing a blinding golden yellow flash and eliciting a loud wail of pain from it and also from Faustein since he was caught in the blast. At that same time, Lego which was trapped in the other tentacle fired its flame attack at point blank range as well, which caused fiery explosions and burn wounds to appear all over the tentacle "Enemy unit within range...Engage Battle Protocol...Combat Subroutine Beta, set...Execute: Plastic Blaze!!"Due to being assaulted simultaneously in this manner, the Gesomon could not keep hold of its prisoners anymore, especially since its muscles were seizing up due to the electrical attack from Taser and due to the painful burns. It was just in time too for Faustein had very nearly lost consciousness from the crushing pressure of the tentacle trap. As the scuba gear flooded his lungs with much needed oxygen, his heavy lidded crimson red eyes slowly opened, allowing him to take in the surrounding view. Needless to say, he had electrical burns all over the visible parts of his body due to being caught in Taser's electrical attack and due to the sea water exacerbating them, he was now in quite a great deal of pain and was being supported by Taser and Lego for the time being. Still, he was just barely conscious and so he would be unable to help anymore with the battle at hand.
