Eyes threw a glance toward Juni's knuckles, before giving a wide smile. "I may be cute," bold statement, "but don't think that means I scare easily." And, with that, she poked her own cheek and widened her eyes, before making an exaggerated shrug. "You're not the friendly type, huh?" Awfully rude to say, when the stranger was trying to be helpful!
Maybe Ela would take offense to the next bit, if not for her ears absolutely ringing. Ah well. That just meant there was one less sassy comment that Juni would have to find a way to deal with. Of course, that came with the tradeoff of having to deal with Kuu, which had the potential to be far worse.
"Tempting!" Kuu chirped, thinking for a moment. "But not as fun without someone else to yell with." What. A. Relief.
Finally, the last member of the party arrived, far less obnoxious than the last. While Kuu was puffing his cheeks in some attempt to form a thought, Maia walked up behind him. For a moment, she'd look at Ela, and then to the stranger, and gave a small wave.
"Junko! I like it. I'm sure we could be besties someday!"
"Don't get your hopes up." Well, at least someone was quick to dash Kuu's hopes. But, was it time to let Junko leave? Not quite! But close! "Oh, one second!" Immediately, the brunette turned her head to the blonde girl that had arrived. "Can you put your phone number on a card for her?"
There was a pause, while the tamer glanced over the stranger, before slowly reaching to her pocket. "I guess?" An eyebrow raised, while she took out a silver-inked pen and scribbled a number onto an otherwise black playing card in her hand, before passing it over to Ela.
And with that? Ela would place it on top of her container of takoyaki, and scurry in front of Junko one last time. Now, she'd push the items into Junko's hands, hoping she wouldn't try to pass them back at the last moment. Or worse, drop them! "This is thanks for helping me out!" Once she was sure the items would be held onto, she'd give a quick tap to the card on top. "I know you're all like," how to phrase it? "tough, but I think we could be friends." That's some pretty questionable thinking for a scientist. "So if you ever feel up for anything, you know..." For a moment, the holosuited bun would trail off. "I'm sure I'll get a phone fairly soon, so it'll be less weird then, but for now, that's the best I've got."
"Can I get a phone fairly soon, too?"
"Absolutely not."
"Darn it."
Ignoring the dream-crushing conversation between Kuu and Mai, Ela would continue on with a final request. "Just please don't throw it away, okay? It might be useful someday!" And with that, she'd give a wave before letting Junko escape. With food and a weird card! Oh, and one more, "thank you, again!"
And, once Ela stepped closer to Mai, she'd get another odd look, before the tamer quietly spoke. "You know that card's probably useless to her, right?"
To this, the scientist paused. "Oh. Right." Not everyone had a use for something like that, huh? "Well. I have a good feeling about it, anyway!" It wasn't like there was any loss to giving out a special card anyway, right? Maybe someone would find use of it eventually, regardless!
