Quite the Fresh Start

It would be quite the effort from everyone present, but everyone would be able to lift the vase and eventually move from the platform into the mausoleum’s ground.
“Phew. That was pretty heavy.” Magnus wiped the sweat off his brow, just as the twins moved on to address Hiroshi and Leroy.
“I don’t think you’re freaks though. I mean, you’re certainly not like any Cutemon or Shoutmon I’ve been but.” Maybe Katherine was going somewhere she didn’t need to, even though, in a quite the surprising development, Akemi interrupted her.
“Y-you’re pretty nice. Th-thanks for helping us. I-I really appreciate it.”
Aw, wasn’t that heartwarming? Not like neither of the twins could have a lot of time to reflect on those words. “Um… I think we were thinking about it the wrong way all this time.”
Magnus pointed at the spot where the vase had previously stood. There was a small hole in the platform; inside, there was the egg the group was searching. “Seems like the vase was shaking because the egg under it was making it shake. Won’t be needing to break it open it seems! That’s a bit of a relief.”
Katherine smiled and went to grab the egg while Akemi remained by the other pair of twins’ side. “Guess this is where our small adventure ends. It was fun.”
“Hehe. It really was!”
Was that voice coming from the egg…? It was kind of creepy, in all honesty. “I-I think the sooner we leave. Th-the better.”
“Sounds like a plan. I’m kinda missing my bed right now.”
If nobody objected, the group would go back to the surface, and quietly exit the graveyard. Once they were in a less-suspicious location, Magnus would address the group.
“Thank you for helping! Guess we’ll see each other at some point.” Or maybe not, who knew. Akemi and Katherine then gazed at Hiroshi and Leroy specifically and bowed.
“Thank you! Hope we can meet again!”
It had been an interesting outing, all things considered. But, like most adventures, it had to come to an end eventually.
