MPC Name: Imprisoned MPC Number: 75BReward Requested: 5000 BITS
Trouble usually followed Faustein and seemed to be attracted to him like a mass of iron would be to a magnet. Similarly, lately, he had once again started to become involved in some very troublesome situations like that surreal encounter during which he had been swept up into an alien looking vortex due to some glitches and bugs that corrupted the Digital World briefly during the installation pahse of a recent update patch. However, the current situation was not one in which he was an unfortunate victim of strange and troublesome situations. No, he was currently locked up in the dank and dreary prison in Rustport Town due to something fault of his own making. In this case, it was because he had initially been hired to provide medical aid to some of the sick residents, but had gone...overboard in his treatment out of the scientific curiosity about their ailment's strange mysterious nature driving him too far. As a result, the digimon which were his patients were now MUCH worse for wear, more so than they were before the ailment had afflicted and debilitated them. Of course, said patients had been cured of their affliction so technically, he had fullfilled his contract. Needless to say, however, due to this new and more unsavory development, the Deputymon which was the deputy sheriff for this Old Wild West like digital township was not happy in the least. It had promptly hunted him down and taken him into custody despite him putting up a struggle due to the difference in the levels of his two digimon, Taser the Kokuwamon and Lego the ShadowToyAgumon which were both weak Rookies and the Deputymon which was a standard strength Champion. That was about a week ago from current time. Currently, Faustein was simply resting peacefully in his cell waiting and biding his time for the right moment to break out of jail so that he could make his escape. It is imperative to wait for that Deputymon to lower its guard before making my move. These locks look easy enough to destroy, so there is no cause for anxiety or hesitation. Perhaps Lego can destroy them with its Block Rockets ability and then, Taser could impede the Deputymon with its electrical attacks which should be more effective considering that the Deputymon is from the Metal Empire family of digimon.Faustein kept musing thus silently as he waited for opportunity to come knocking on his proverbial door, but little did he know he was going to meet a rather strange and amusing individual soon. MPC: Same as Above MPC #: Same as Above Reward: Gimme Money Faustein wouldn't have to wait much longer for company. His week-long stint without a cellmate was about to be over. She did her best to match the Deputymon's pace, but every time she thought she got the hang of it the revolver Digimon would either slow down or speed up, pushing and pulling the girl while chastising her. She had come along willingly, figuring that all they wanted to do was explain the whole misunderstanding, yet here she was; getting arrested. Thankfully she didn't get dragged off in handcuffs, though she supposed there really wasn't anyone to recognize her if they had.
The Deputymon stopped her in front of an occupied cell; a man in a labcoat was residing there. "Wait, you can't be serious right here. Don't you at least separate your prisoners by ge-"
"Well howdy there, doc!" The Deputymon gave a mocking salute to the imprisoned man, but Honoka could hear the vitriol in his colloquial greeting. "Looks like ya got yerself a new roommate! Be nice to this one; she's an out-of-towner, just like yerself!"
"Are you seriously going to just ignore me ri-"
"Hell, we'd 'ave gotten a cellmate for ya sooner, but I reckon every time they hear who they're roomin' with, they end up askin' for the chair, first! So you be real nice to this one, hear?" The walking gun turned back towards the girl, the large gun-barrel swinging wide. Honoka had to bend all the way backwards to avoid it, putting her arms out behind her head to form a bridge.
"Now what the hell you on about, girl?" The Deputymon asked incredulously. "This ain't no place for crab-walkin'! Now get in there!" In a single flash of movement, he opened the cell door, grabbed the girl by her ankle, and casually tossed the girl into the cell. Then he closed it back up and locked it. "Now ya'll keep quiet now, ya hear?" He walked off, leaving the pair to their time in the cell.
Honoka was lying face-down on the cell floor with her legs hanging up in the air. She supposed it would be polite to introduce herself, however, so she raised her hand and waved at her new cellmate's general direction.

Faustein had been deep in thought, scheming his nefarious jail break plan when his thoughts had been rudely interrupted by the Deputymon who had apparently arrested someone else. This one was a young girl with what was the most exotic hair color he had ever seen till then, specifically pink. Before he could say anything, however, the Deputymon had come and stoody before the cell he was in currently and gave him a mocking salute which Faustein had found highly amusing, and the poor sheriff digimon's verbal vitriol had only served to heighten his amusement to the point it brought his usual smug smirk to his thin, firm lips.
"Oh? Well, it would seem that the law abiding denizens of Rustport Town are still somwhat wary of me. And after I went through all that trouble to cure all their ills when they showed me their debilitated faces and bodies, Sheriff. I would have loved to befriend these potential cellmates of mine, but alas, the goddess of fortune seems to have abandoned me in that regard."
Faustein had remarked to the Deputymon and was about to continue when the girl had started to protest against her impending incarceration, asking if the Deputymon was insane and uncouth enough to not separate its prisoners by gender. Of course, the Deputymon had not taken kindly to that, which only seemed to irk the girl further. However, before she had a chance to do anything, the Deputymon had started to try to subdue her which led to the girl trying to resist said attempt by ducking out of the way like a human pretzel. However, the move had only backfired on her since the Deputymon had then grabbed her by the foot and tossed her unceremoniously inside the cell where Faustein was currently laying on his bed. Of course, Faustein had been watching all of this with that same smug smirk playing upon his thin lips, but had not done anything to stop it since the whole affair was so very entertaining to him. Finally the Deputymon had warned them to not make trouble for it and then left them to their own devices. The girl was now laying on the floor of the cell after her rather hard collision with it, but somehow still had the energy to wave at him in greeting
"Oh my, now THAT was truly a sight to behold, young miss. I would rate that er, what is the vernacular term for this maneuver again? Faceplant? Yes, I believe that's what they call it. I would rate yours as...a 10/10. Quite impressive, indeed."
Faustein remarked in that same rich, powerful baritone but somehow melodious voice while observing his new cellmate with amusement clearly showing in his smug smirk which had become several degrees more prominent due to the events which had unfolded a few minutes earlier. His striking crimson red eyes were still hidden behind his polarized Google Glasses, so for the moment she would not be able to see them, and a good thing too, for in their dimly lit cell, they would probably unnerve the poor girl.

"Thanks. If you thought that one was good, feel free to judge my next gymnastics meet..." Honoka said dryly, her voice muffled by the floor. She rolled over to a sitting position, taking a gander at her surroundings. It was darker than she'd have preferred, personally. And it sure did look like what she thought the inside of a jail cell should look like. She took a look at her cellmate. His hair seemed normal enough, but for some reason wore a labcoat. She supposed that the Deputymon did call him "Doc". But what was a human doctor doing in the Digital World? She pulled out her rather bulky D-Tector Digivice for a moment. It was pink with a mint-green trim. Probably the same as every other human in this world. Pocketing her Digivice, she stood up and took a slow walk around the small perimeter of her cell before turning back towards the man.
"My name's Honoka. Nijimura Honoka. It's nice to meet you... I think," What exactly was the appropriate social etiquette among cellmates? Were they supposed to use some sort of prison name or something? She had only heard a couple of things about prison life that she never really looked up to confirm. And seeing as she didn't see a single bar of soap around... "I don't really know how things are supposed to go right now, but we're not supposed to fight or something, right? I heard once that you're supposed to beat someone up on your first day of lock-up, but I'd honestly rather avoid a senseless fight if I could..." Word Count: 267 + 384 = 651

"Ah, a gymnast, eh? Well now, that explains the stellar faceplant maneuver you executed just now"
Faustein had said while wearing his usual smug smirk on this thin, firm lips and then had simply sat back and observed as the girl righted herself, and for some reason pulled out her digivice and then pocketed it again. Then, she had strode around the perimeter of the prison cell which contained both of them and then came back to stand some distance away from him. She had then introduced herself as "Honoka Nijimura" and greeted him, so he had nodded, acknowledging the receipt of information. Then, she had started to ramble on and ask whether he was supposed to fight her as was usually depicted in crime and punishment TV shows.
What in Holy Heisenberg's name is this girl talking about?
Faustein mused silently as he continued listening to her silently as she informed that she would rather avoid unnecessary fighting if at all possible and then she fell silent, looking clearly uncertain about what was to be done in such settings. As he pondered his response silently, the devilish spirit of mischief which was dormant within him awoke and overtook him, causing him to want to mess with her head, as the saying went in colloquial tongue
"Likewise, and you may call me Stein."
After the requisite introduction was over, he began his mind game plan
"Ah, is that so? In that case, I suppose that was what my friends here were referring to when they were describing something called "The Dark Tournament". However, it is a tad uncivilized for my taste, but perhaps you can find some more suitable opponents there."
He fell silent and made a show of thinking for a few moments and then lowered his voice to a conspiratorial whisper while continuing
"That said, I do not think you should enact that plan of yours, for you would be besmirching your name's meaning. However, I do have another activity you may be interested in to pass the time."

"It's nice to meet you, Stein-san..." She curtly responded. He started talking about some strange "dark tournament", confusing the poor girl. He seemed to like the sound of his own voice, but Honoka was a decent enough listener not to outwardly mind. "Like I said, I'd rather avoid... that kind of stuff, so I think I'll refrain from it..."
She paced her surroundings once more, only to find nothing of interest other than the a potential conversation with her new acquaintance. He then advised against any potential violence, and she nodded. She had only been half-joking, yet the man seemed to have been mistaken her, a small teenage girl, as some kind of scrapper. She simply shrugged at his statement. "Not that I plan on it, but I don't think my name has too much to do with you do..." Though she supposed she was talking to some kind of a doctor named "Stein".
Eventually Stein said that he had a suggestion for her, but neglected to say what it actually was; something she found particularly annoying. So she remained quiet, waiting for the man to resume speaking. Word Count: 188 + 651 = 839

Apparently Faustein had confused the poor girl with his attempt at involving her in a mind game, a fact that amused him highly, but then it did not elicit any further such entertaining reaction from her. Instead, she had simply reiterated that she had no plans in inciting violence of any sort and then paced around the prison a few more times before remarking about how her name had nothing to do with him, but for some reason she did not finish her sentence and merely trailed off there.
This one has no concept of dramatic buildup, apparently. Oh well, at least she is an entertaining conversation partner.
Faustein thought silently as he pondered about the best way to introduce his jailbreak plan to Honoka and after a few moments he resumed speaking
"Well in that case, you see, there is this jailbreak plan which is being devised by the rest of these guin...er, I mean friends of mine. How about we take advantage of the ensuing confusion and escape together from this dark, dank, and dreary prison cell?"
He asked her with a quizzical look on his face and a smug smirk playing upon his thin, firm lips after which he paused for a few more moments
"Surely you would rather be anywhere else but here. While we are on the subject, how and why did one such as yourself even get captured and incarcerated here like some plebian criminal?"
He asked her, indicating that he clearly did not understand the meaning of privacy and also that he did not have any sense of tact at all. After he asked his question, he fell silent and waited for her reply, wondering what it could be and also how he could trick her into becoming his accomplice even further.

Honoka listened as Stein explained that he had some 'friends' were enacting some jailbreak plan, and she couldn't help but narrow her eyes at the man. "And what are you going to do once you break out of jail?" She asked. "Never show up in town ever again? You were put in here for a reason, you know!" She gave the man a frustrated glare while scowling. She supposed she couldn't exactly have the moral high ground considering that she didn't even know the reason why the man was in here in the first place, but something about the man was just plain suspicious. If a guy looking like he did showed up around her block, then she would definitely guide him to the nearest mental hospital.
"And I could ask you the same thing, Stein-san!" She placed her hands on her hips as she emphasized his honorific. He was an adult, wasn't he? How could he be so tactless? Still, she supposed it would be rather rude to leave the question unanswered so she gave a sigh before explaining. "I had just gotten off the Trailmon when I had heard someone cry out for help. he was some sort turtle Digimon with a helmet. I found him running away from a larger, angrier-looking Digimon, so I tripped him in order to let the turtle Digimon escape..." She gave out a groan of frustration. "Anyway, it turned out that Deputymon didn't like being tripped, so he accused me of being the turtle Digimon's accomplice and arrested me..." Frustrated and embarrassed, she took a seat on the floor and growled, "So I'm not going to leave this place until I clear this situation up! Now, I told you my story, so tell me what got you put in here!" Word Count: 298 + 839 = 1137

Faustein's smirk had morphed into the ghost of a smile and he had closed his eyes as the verbal torrent flowed freely from the young girl he knew to be Honoka. As if that was not enough, his smile had only grown wider and wider the more she chided him until it was nearly an ear to ear grin which showed off his pearly whites. At the same time, the unnerving aura around him experienced a manifold increase to the point she may actually notice it and find it to be palpable
"You truly are a most amusing specimen, Honoka and so, you have my thanks for entertaining me. Now as to what is the plan post jailbreak? Well, yes, I do not intend to remain here, but that should be fairly obvious, methinks. You're free to come with me if you wish, of course."
He had flashed a smug smirk filled with the full force of his amusement at her before falling silent and listening to her progressing narrative
"A turtle digimon with a helmet, you say? A Kamemon then, I presume, but why did you trip up the Deputymon in this case? Surely you could not have discerned the truth behind the chase? It might have been the case that the Kamemon was truly a most vile, degenerate, and heinous criminal of the most incorrigible nature, you know, in which case, the poor Deputymon may have just been doing its job. Perhaps you should have stood back and analyzed the situation before plunging yourself headlong into it."
He remarked still with that smug smirk on his thin, firm lips and then fell silent to collect his thoughts and then resumed
"Why am I here? Well, it would suffice to say that the fair citizens of Rustport were simply too wea...er, were not durable enough to withstand the rather rigorous demands of my mad sc...er, unique but highly effective treatments."
With that, he fell silent once more and this time, waited to experience her response to his elaboration and narrative.

Stein's smile grew wider and wider the longer Honoka lectured the man. Why exactly was he so jovial? Was he really that desperate for conversation? How long had he been in here in the first place? Either way, it was creepy, and she tried not to show the shivers down her spine. He explained his vague plans after breaking out and offered Honoka the chance to join her.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm done with being people's accomplices for the day, thank you very much..." She replied, dismissively waving her hand. She didn't intend to be so rude, but something about this man offset the girl. She hadn't even known the man for five minutes, and already she found the man to be rather creepy for some reason.
Then he started to criticize the girl's actions, and she had to admit that on some levels that he was correct. "Kamemon... yeah, I think I heard Deputymon say that name earlier..." She stated before continuing. "But you can't just stand by when someone cries out for help, right? If I took the time to analyze the situation then the Deputymon would have run past me!" She crossed her arms and gave him an annoyed look. "And law enforcement's supposed to wear a uniform, right? All I say was a giant gun creature chasing after a weaker-looking turtle! So you'll have to excuse me for jumping the..." She stopped her sentence right there. She was not going to end her sentence on a stupid pun, unintentional or otherwise.
Then Stein explained his reason for being here. She didn't catch all of his slip-ups but she thought she got the gist of it. So he was some kind of doctor after all... and the Digimon weren't able to handle his treatments? Weren't Digimon supposed to be a lot tougher than humans were? What kind of crap was he giving the Digimon!? "No. It sounds to me like you should probably stay in here..." 330

"Ah well, I supposed it cannot be helped then. Also, it is not so much that I am desirous of conversational partners, but more that you are a rather amusing specimen and this is why I am smiling so much right now."
Faustein said simply after she rejected his offer for a joint escape operation and shrugged affter which he fell silent and listened to her narrative about her experience with the Deputymon. Apparently the girl thought that all law enforcement officials had to wear uniform at all times. This made him smirk even more than he was already doing, especially when he caught the incoming pun in her sentence even though she cut it off so hastily
"Perhaps, but then you DO realize that there IS such a thing as a "plainclothes officer", do you not?"
He paused there for a moment to see if she could comprehend his meaning and then continued
"Also, I do not mind at all if you make such amusingly hackneyed puns, Honoka. So, please go right ahead, although "jumping the gun" as you put it seems rather dangerous, considering where you have ended up because of it."
He said and let out a deep, rumbling chuckle which echoed across the prison cell and bounced off the stone walls briefly before fading away to nothing. Then, she had gone on to be surprised at the fact that digimon which were supposed to be more durable than humans could not handle his treatments and was apparently wondering about them
"You may be wondering what exactly I was doing to these digimon patients of mine right now. So I shall elaborate on that, you see I was involved in performing procedures such as data shell manipulation, cyborg modification, body chemistry alteration, and even Digi-Core modification in some cases. Apparently, the structural integrity of these digimon is not at a high enough level to withstand such treatments."
Then, she had finally suggested that it was right for him to be confined in here
Ah but then, all those guin...er, patients out there would be deprived of interaction with me and their once in a lifetime chance of experiencing the thrills and joys of my mad sci...er highly effective but admittedly exotic treatments. Now that would truly be a travesty worthy of lamentation. So, I believe it is indeed necessary for me to break out of here."
Then, he turned the question toward her in turn
"Enough about me, though, it does not seem as though the Deputymon can be reasoned with at all as if that were the case, you would not have arrested in the first place. So then, the question becomes, are you planning on remaining patiently in this cell until the Deputymon realizes the truth behind your situation? Surely you would rather be elsewhere than here in this dark, dank, and dreary cell?"
He asked while gesturing about to their current surroundings and then fell silent to see what her response would be to his remarks and actions

"Of course I've heard of stuff like plainclothes and undercover, but it doesn't change the fact that all I saw was a larger Digimon chasing a much smaller one! Things went a little bad, but once I explain myself once the Deputymon's, erm... barrel... cools down, things will work themselves out!" She was getting the feeling that this Stein character was deriving some sort of sick amusement from her discomfort.
"And my pun wasn't intentional, either! It's a common phrase, isn't it? And I'm not gonna literally jump it!" Seriously, what kind of creep was this guy? Even his very voice and laughter, which was objectively pleasant, put the girl off. He had started to get into the specifics of his treatment, which she wasn't fully able to understand. Perhaps if she had a Digimon partner she could better learn of a Digimon's anatomy, but as a spirit user, her only ally was a little flower ghost that couldn't even speak to her.
"So it sounds to me like you took those Digimon and did whatever you pleased to them," She stated, the disgust and contempt clear on her face. "And I was right about you belonging in here!" She pointed an accusatory finger at the man. "First off, don't pretend that you didn't try saying 'mad science'! You've slipped up twice now! Mad science is mad for reason, you know! If they threw you in jail for experimenting and hurting innocent Digimon, then you definitely don't need to break out of here! Pick up a new hobby, or something!"
And upon Stein's inquiry about her specific situation she simply shook her head once more. "Of course I'd rather not be here! But I'm sure I can reason with him after enough time! Attempting a break-out is only gonna ruin any potential goodwill that I can garner! I have to do what I think is right; especially if I screwed up earlier!"

Faustein had slowly raised one quizzical eyebrow when Honoka had explained how she was waiting for the Deputymon prison warden to cool down before she would try explaining her situation to it
"Ah, the naiveté of youth. Nevertheless, you intrigue me greatly. So, you shall have my company upon this path you have chosen in this situation."
Then, she had retorted saying that her pun was not intentional, which of course caused his other eyebrow to raise in the same quizzical, slow manner as had its counterpart
"Oh no? Then i prithee, do elaborate upon the reason for your trailing off just before finishing that particular thought."
He was now looking at her with his head slightly tilted at 30 degrees with one hand stroking his sharply defined, strongly set jawline and an irritatingly smug smirk on his face. After that, she had gone on to accuse him of hurting the innocent digimon with her finger pointed at him and then went on to say how she did not want to ruin any chances of garnering goodwill with the Deputymon by assisting him in his breakout plan. Her voice was rather loud and this was causing the nearby inmates which were a variety of digimon, of course, to look towards them curiously. He could not risk her disturbing his plan, so he decided to quell her excitement. He extended his right hand toward her finger and after grasping it by the tip, shifted it aside while at the same time using his free left hand to remove his polarized Google Glasses to reveal his eyes at last. Since their prison cell just happened to be facing away from the light from outside for the most part, it was dimly lit at best, a fact that amplified the striking haunting nature of his bright, crimson red eyes which were now visible to her as they almost glowed balefully in the low light conditions. He then spoke, still with that same even, calm, but still amusement filled baritone but melodious voice
"Be that as it may, I suggest you calm down, Ms. Nijimura, lest you attract the undue attention of our friendly neighborhood prison warden."
Sure enough, while this was happening, the Deputymon did come walking into the prison section of the Sheriff's Office with a rather annoyed mood, judging from its currently narrowed, yellow eyes.
"Don't y'all know to keep quiet down here?! Just what do you desperados think this is, huh? A fancy schmancy singles party?! Simmer down, ya hear?! Unless you wanna be pumped full o' lead!!"

Honoka could only tolerate Stein's condescending nature for so long, and she was beginning to tire of it. "I don't care if it's naive," She responded curtly. "Some things may not be black and white, but some things still are. Breaking out is the wrong way to go about it, and following rules, especially if you've broken them beforehand, is the right thing to do!"
She didn't even bother with Stein's comments about her near-pun. There was no other reason to bring that up other than to annoy her, and he had long since accomplished that goal. "And I would rather you not consider me 'company'. Just being in the same room as you is irritating, Stein-san."
Stein had then gotten closer to the girl, and grabbed her finger and moved it aside. He then took off his ridiculous-looking glasses to reveal a pair of crimson eyes that almost looked to glow in the cell's dim lighting. He suggested that she calm down, but with his demeanor it was no doubt meant as some kind of threat. So he needed to avoid attention in order to enact his plan?
Honoka reeled back for a second, taken aback by Stein's similar demeanor, yet eerily different behavior.
The girl stepped forward, lifted her leg up and drove her knee into the bizarre man's groin. "Be that as it may, I suggest you not touch or threaten me, Stein-san. It's very hard for me to calm down when you do that." She whispered back with a chilling voice. Her cold expression turned back into a warm smile as she twirled back around as an annoyed Deputymon approached their cell.
"I certainly am sorry, warden! I didn't mean to cause a ruckus, but my cellmate was trying to convince me to assist him with a jailbreak! After I refused, he attempted to grab me, so I had no choice but to defend myself!"

Faustein had sighed as he saw he was not making much headway with Honoka and had attempted to calm her down so she would not rile up the inmates too much before the arrival of the appointed hour. However, this action had backfired on him as she kneed him in the groin rather viciously. Needless to say, this made him collapse to the ground, due to the excruciating pain of the impact as would any other man in similar circumstances, though he was able to force his facial expression back to normalcy through sheer effort of will before any had noticed the flash of pain on it. As if to make things worse, when the Deputymon had waltzed in and started to chastise them about their raucous voices and obtrusive behavior, she had snitched on him to said sheriff digimon. The Deputymon turned to him, took one look, and had burst out into raucous laughter, clearly being amused at his discomfiture
"So ya went and did it...anyway despite my...warnings, eh Doc?! You must be...some kinda glutton for...punishment, I reckon!"
The Deputymon somehow managed to say between its fits of uproarious laughter. As before, the Deputymon's voice possessed the distinctive Taxan/ stereotypical cowboy accent. Regardless, Faustein was not amused in the least for HE was supposed to be the one with the upper hand in any given situation, masterfully maneuvering all the pieces to his benefit as he saw fit. Sadly, the present circumstances were not even remotely close to that ideal he had of himself. It took a while, but the Deputymon finally managed to calm down from its fit of laughter and became serious again
"So, yer fixin' to cook up some kinda harebrained jailbreak plan, are ya?! Well shucks, we can't be lettin' you git away with that, now can we?!"
It said while scratching its head with its gleaming yellow eyes currently narrowed as it regarded Faustein. Then, it turned around and glanced at the other rowdy and rough looking digimon of all kinds which were locked up in the prison cells around the room and then back at Faustein
"And I reckon yer plannin' on gettin' these desperados to help ya out?"
It asked with a quizzical head tilt and what looked remotely like a raised eyebrow, though with its wide-brimmed cowboy hat and the rest of its outfit obscuring its face and head, it was somewhat hard to discern accurately.
