Age: Early Teens
Occupation/Status: Dropped out in the 7th Grade. Currently a Digital World Traveler.
Likes: Adventure, searching for treasure, friends, playing pretend, Beating up bad people
Dislikes: Boredom, idleness, romantic gestures, eating, bad people
Alignment/Morality: Nanami is an incredibly selfish person that always tries to get her way. However, her way refers to always trying to do the right thing. She doesn't let petty things like laws and social norms get in the way of doing the right thing. And while she'll most certainly try to take other people's feelings into the equation of her dogged-pursuits, she'll outright ignore them outright if she's set her sights on her goal. She's a sweet young girl, but if you get in her way, she'll stubbornly bullrush her way through with all the finesse of a bull in a china shop.
Talents: Due to her poor health, Nanami is physically frail, woefully underdeveloped, physically-speaking, and her disinterest in formal education has left her lacking in the intellect department. But while she's not the greatest strategist or toughest combatant in the world, she's incredibly stubborn the pursuit of what she wants.
In addition, Nanami has incredibly acute sense of vision that lets her track motions easily. With practice, she can even emulate feats that she's witnessed, provided she has the physical build to do so. In addition, her eyesight if incredibly useful in tracking the path and avoiding projectiles.
Bio/Background: Having come to terms with her own mortality for as long as she can remember, Nanami has always been a morbid girl. But she doesn't let the fact that everyone she knows is going to die affect her cheery disposition. And especially not the fact that she's likely going to die before she even becomes an adult. Because of this realization, Nanami is someone who's very much in the moment. She never plans ahead, and while she does tries a cursory attempt in leaving everywhere she visits better than when she found it, she ultimately doesn't concern herself too much about the trail she leaves behind. She just doesn't believe she has the time to worry about the past or future.
Because of this, while she's a very kind-hearted young girl, she tends to act rather selfishly more often than not. She's more than willing to drag all of her friends into whatever adventure she can come up with that day. However, Nanami is very limited in her abilities, and she's keenly aware of this. She's frail and tires out quickly. She's malnourished and nowhere near physically competent. And her general lack of a formal education has left her ignorant in most matters.
However, Nanami tries to make up for this with her unbridled charisma and the sheer force of her personality. Having grown up isolated from her peers, Nanami doesn't have a lot of experience with social cues, but even so, she's far from shy and she treats everyone she meets with a friendly familiarity. She's adept at putting faces to names, and only the most vile of people can do wrong by her. She's overly trusting of anyone she meets to a pathological degree, and even if they turn out to be not-so-trustworthy... well, it's just one more adventure to be had, and another baddie to be put to justice!
When she's not on one of her stubborn crusades for adventure, Nanami is open-minded and extremely tolerant person. She can get along with just about anyone, and she wants to meet all kinds of people, regardless. She knows that there's only so much time left for her, and she wants to experience as much life as she possibly can before her body finally gives out for the last time. She doesn't want to be some sickly girl, slowly dying while trapped in a hospital, because that's not living for her.
Ideal Thread Partners: Nanami is down to thread with just about anyone, regardless of their age, species, gender, or alignment. As stated previously, she wants to meet all kinds of people and get the most out of her brief life as she possibly can, so she's not picky about her friends. That said, Nanami's sure to conflict with the morally bankrupt, and would most certainly try to put a stop to them. Another person that would likely conflict with Nanami is the overly-responsible, controlling adults. However, anyone that tries to restrain Nanami's freedom in any way will find that they're getting more than they bargained for, so that in of itself could make for an interesting thread!
Friendship and Romances: Nanami's a teenage, and with it comes the hormones. Gender, or even whether you're a Digimon or human doesn't really matter to Nanami very much. Nanami may be childish, but she's curious about romance and all of the "kissy stuff" that's involved, but she's not willing to fully put herself out for a relationship like that. No matter how badly Nanami may grow to love someone, it just wouldn't be fair to them if they happened fall in love with her only for her to... That's the one kind of selfishness Nanami is willing to restrain herself for.
However, Nanami is a deeply loving person, and channels all that love she holds through platonic means. While she's friendly with almost everyone she meets, she doesn't let people she cares about most get too close for fear of hurting them when her time comes. But make no mistake, Nanami places other people's lives well about her own, and would die for those she cares about in a heartbeat. And it turns out that Nanami tends to care about most people she meets.
Mocha the Lopmon
Occupation/Status: Digital World Adventurer
Likes: Herself, her friends, stargazing, hedonism, singing (in secret)
Dislikes: Boredom, sensitive people, spicy foods, warm weather, self-restraint
Alignment/Morality: Mocha's entire morality is skewed heavily towards her own selfish desires to just do whatever she wants, yet her actions are somewhat selfless in some, sick, twisted manner. She's indifferent to the thoughts or feeling towards other people if it involves saying or doing whatever she pleases. However, she'll begrudgingly restrain herself if her actions inhibit or restrict another person's freedoms. But if someone gets offended by something she says or does, she doesn't see it as her problem, but rather it's their fault for not being thick-skinned or intolerant of her own values. As such, when called out on her self-centeredness she'll double down and stand her ground for something absolutely stupid if she needs to.
Talents: Despite the fact that she NEVER sings in public, she has a soft and sweet melodic voice. She also has the uncanny knack to irritate just about everyone she meets. She acts like she's an obstinate idiot most of the time, but in reality she's quite clever and manipulative when she puts her mind to it.
Bio/Background: She's been with her sister Cream for as long as she remembered, and even though she's unclear about her past lives, Mocha feels like she's been pretty much the same. She's always stubborn, inconsiderate, and bucks authority whenever possible, no matter how much trouble it caused the sisters. But in this lifetime of theirs, due to having to look after the absurdly willful yet disturbingly inept human partner of theirs, Mocha's had to adjust from being the one to always have to be looked after to the one looking after someone.
And for once in her entire existence, Mocha has had to deal with her responsibilities. And oddly enough, while Mocha's still rough around the edges, Mocha has turned out to have a knack at being nurturing. At least to Nanami, who's thick-skinned enough to put up with Mocha's abrasive personality. And they're stubborn in the right ways, so they can get along quite well, something Mocha's had the pleasure of having before.
So now Mocha doesn't think that every other person other than herself and her sister can be all that bad, so she's begun to develop a tiny spark of empathy. Though that spark's definitely something that needs to spread before people can see past her general assholery.
Ideal Thread Partners: Mocha's a little too abrasive to get along properly with most people. She's quick to point out and subsequently mock people for their flaws, and it tends to rub people the wrong way. But people who are down to have an exciting time, are thick-skinned enough to put up with her, who aren't too stuffy and restrictive, and are open-minded enough not to write her off as some sociopathic rabbit will have a blast with this Lopmon. Sadly, just about everyone else (i.e. MOST PEOPLE) might have trouble getting along with Mocha on general moral principles. Thankfully, Mocha has the much more friendly Nanami and the much more sensible Cream to counterbalance Mocha's awful personality.
As a side note, chances are that Mocha's going to insult your characters for whatever reason. If that happens, please don't take it personally. And feel free to insult Mocha back, in-character But I'd prefer if you'd refrain from doing so out-of-character. That's significantly less not-personal.
Friendship and Romances: Despite her newfound openness towards other people, Mocha isn't exactly fond of being emotionally vulnerable to other people. That makes a meaningful relationship with Mocha a little difficult. But appealing to her vanity might get her to get just a little closer to her, though she'll likely such people as chumps if they're too much of pushovers. Mocha's the arrogant type to look down on others just a bit, and she tends to treat the people she views as above her with hostility, so being an equal with Mocha is an incredibly difficult balance.
But becoming friends with Mocha is surprisingly easy. You just need to put up with her. Mocha's deepest insecurity is that her own attitude will drive away the people closest to her, and having people not give up on her, despite all her many flaws is a way for her to treasure someone.
Cream the Terriermon
Occupation/Status: Digital World Traveler
Likes: Sleeping, tranquility, tabletop games, eating, reading
Dislikes: Disorder, large groups, cold weather, effort, Mocha
Alignment/Morality: Cream prefers things to be organized and peaceful. So long as all the gears turn and everyone's adequately comfortable, she's fine with doing as little as possible. If there's something she can do about it, she'll be willing to step in and help someone if they seem like they need it, but otherwise she prefers to stay out of other people's way. Cream would rather shut herself in all day and relax than go out and right all the wrongs in the world, but she's keenly aware of this and harbors just a bit of guilt as a result. So if it's not too inconvenient, she'll help someone a bit if only absolve her of that guilt.
Talents: Cream has a great deal of patience when dealing with obstinate people, she's somewhat musically-gifted with the trumpet, and her ears are nimble enough to perform idle tasks while the rest of her can relax. She's fairly intelligent, and while she can come up with practical plans, she's by no means a genius strategist.
Bio/Background: Always having been the "responsible" twin, having to deal with whatever fallout that her sister has had to deal with, Cream is used to cleaning up and looking after other people. She not naturally a nurturing person, but she's had more than enough experience to make up for it. She looks after people without even thinking too much these days, which has made her an ideal partner for the reckless Nanami who tends to act without considering the consequences. But Nanami's a good kid, so Cream's more than willing to help her out and look after her.
As for her twin sister, Mocha, however, Cream simply looks after her if only because that's just what a good sister does, rather than out of any affection towards her. If anything, Cream has grown to resent her sister. Cream isn't the type to want attention, but that's all that her sister ever seems to bring, and it's hardly ever the pleasant kind. And many people they come across simply see Cream as "that one asshole's sister", and Cream has grown to resent that as well. It's made her desire peace and solitude whenever possible.
Without all her responsibilities, and their subsequent burdens, Cream is soft-spoken, bashful, and kind of a slob. She's spent so much time cleaning up after others that she hardly considers doing so for herself. Unlike Mocha and Nanami, Cream has no such desire for company and would rather take things as slowly and peacefully as possible. She doesn't need to make a splash in the world like Nanami does, and has no interest in Mocha's desire for recognition.
Ideal Thread Partners: Even though Cream would much rather spend her time alone, she's used to getting along with others. She's polite, respectful, and does whatever she can to counterbalance Nanami's immaturity and Mocha's rudeness. As such, Cream's most likely the easiest character to get along with. So long as someone's not some murderous psychopath, Cream can add to any thread, even if she's only playing a supporting role.
Friendship and Romances: Among any of the group, Cream's most likely the most open to a loving relationship. Though a relationship with her could be rather tricky. She would rather romance another Digimon, but she's otherwise not picky. However, she has no interest in a partner that's immature or that she needs to look after. Basically, if you remind Cream of her sister, that's a dealbreaker. If anything, Cream wants a partner that would be willing to look after her for a change. Maybe even spoil her a bit and let her be selfish every now and then. But that's something she would never admit outright.
As for friendships, she can get along with most people, but she'll tend to gravitate towards people who give her some space. She doesn't like being smothered, regardless of how adorable and mascot-like she appears to be. And she'll befriend just about anyone who shares her interests in games and the like. She's not into anime or television shows, and she's never much cared for video games, but she's quite fond of tabletop games and finds solace in their rules. In short, Cream's kind of a nerd.
