On one hand, the group had more-or-less agreed to move onto the next floor.
On the other hand? It was next to impossible for some of them to bridge the gap to the next floor on their own. Even mega levels like Shutmon were having trouble bridging the gap! "Right, should have figured the height of this would be a bit difficult. I'd hardly call this an orthodox use of my functions, but..."
The Datamon would step up a bit away from the broken hole, would lock his feet into place, and would quite literally throw his arms outwards, his arms stretching forward like cable. It would take but a moment for the hands to reach the top and secure themselves, and another moment for the 'cables' to tighten, giving a nice, easy ramp for the group to climb on up!
"Two at a time at most, please. I'm not entirely sure what level of support this would be graded for!" Unsurprisingly, the alarm that was set off before made the defenses on the next floor a lot more 'ready' to receive the group. However, the level of preparedness itself might have been somewhat concerning: the integrity of the floor had been damaged already, so it would have made sense if both groups were going to be fighting on uneven ground.
So why did it seem that the Tower's defenses were already set up to compensate? Before the ramp towards the next room up, the group would be greeted by a white-armored CannonBeemon (X), as well as two Tigervespamon (X), one in white and one in black, sitting atop the flying machine's frame.
Key word: flying. Though perhaps outnumbered and outmatched in power, the three seemed to have at least the environmental advantage, and knew it. Though they dare not harm the tower's center, the CannonBeemon found its cannon already aimed at the front of the opening, and as soon as the first few would climb up, the CannonBeemon would let out a powerful blast from its primary cannon, as both TigerVespamon let out shots of their own.
Not aimed at the group.
But at the unstable floor in front of the Datamon's grip. If the ground below them collapsed, it would make the Tower's defensive force able to act one click faster in the next few moments!
CannonBeemon uses 'Nitro Stinger', firing a high powered cannon at the ground. Both TigerVespamon uses 'Gear Stinger', firing multiple explosive needles at the ground.

With Shutmon a few steps ahead of the others, his advantage against the imminent blast was slight but not negligible. Ever-alert, he reflexively cleared the ground he had been standing on by leaping in the direction of the three digimon, meaning to close some of the distance between them. Forget the defense systems - if that floor went, Shutmon himself as well as the humans would've had no solid ground to stand on! He was able to delay his own descent for a little, sure, but the only thing he had a moment to say before the blast came was, "It's a trap!"
He might have been too far ahead for the others to hear him by normal means, but with the help of the comms program loaded in Yoshi's Loader he, as well as WarGreymon and whoever else rode him, were able to catch it. At least the General himself didn't experience a need to take Datamon's path, else Tadayoshi might not have been so lucky. From atop WarGreymon's back he called down, "Excuse me, Datamon! What you did for GigaSeadramon - could you do it again if you had to? How long does it last?"
The problem for Shutmon was that he couldn't do anything about it besides his unspecific warning and getting himself out of the way. His attack came too late to prevent the problem - but that didn't stop him from acting. While still airborne, while he thought he was close enough, he started using his acrobatic prowess to make his body rotate. As he gained speed he stuck out his two arm blades farther until they were straight out, which helped him level himself with the floor that, hopefully, was still under him at this point. For a moment the change in airflow of this room was subtle, but by the time the microdebris in the wind caused it to become visible, it was almost too late. "Sword Storm!" Hopefully the close proximity of the enemies would turn out to be a liability - he wanted them all in his whirlwind! "So you wanna make it real, huh? I'll show ya what!" he declared from within it.
If they got sucked in, they would be in for one heck of a bad time. In addition to getting shaken about like, well, trailers in a tornado, there was also Shutmon at the center of the storm who would cut them to ribbons while they drifted too close. Each impact, if any, would give off a strong enough electromagnetic pulse to momentarily distort the air around it for a moment even in front of the naked eye. For some digimon that might mean nothing, but if these mechanical digimon contained data from the Metal Empire within their digicore then victims of the attack might have had it still even worse than before. Shutmon evaded Nitro Stinger and Gear Stinger. -Quick On His Feet (passive): This digimon is ultra fast and agile, increasing his base speed by 30%.
Shutmon used Sword Storm.
-Sword Storm: This digimon begins to spin so quickly while cutting outwards with his blades that he generates a tornado in place. All digimon in a 400-foot radius may be sucked into this tornado, where they'll be violently thrown around, battered with debris, and slashed by Shutmon's blades. Cooldown: 3 post.
-Quick On His Feet (passive): This digimon is ultra fast and agile, increasing his base speed by 30%.
-Sneak Attacker (passive): This digimon is highly competent at striking at the perfect moments. However, he is designed and trained more for quick engagements, not prolonged fights. This fighting style increases his base accuracy by 50%, but his damage endurance suffers a 20% penalty.
-[RAM Upgrade Xros] Machine Buster (passive): Due to Kamushi's inherent anti-machine affinity, his attacks release electromagnetic waves from the point of impact on hit, significantly increasing damage against the Metal Empire field as well as attacks from any fusion he is in.

Toki seemed completely on board with the plans being devised here. Everyone had their positions in the upcoming battle, which would make it easier to coordinate with one another. Despite their rocky star together, the group was starting to form a cohesive whole that gave Toki confidence that they would be able to handle whatever came at them. He looked over at John and gave him a patient smile "You just did what you thought was the best course of action, as did I. There's nothing to apologize for. Let's move forward and do what we can now that we know what we have to do." He said in an attempt to reassure him.
He smiled brightly at Shutmon "Of course I have your back. I'll support you to the best of my abilities." He said with a nod. At Shutmon saying they've never seen a human get their hands dirty, Toki said "Humans are determined and tenacious. We're capable of a lot more than even we're aware of. I hope I don't disappoint."
It was a good thing the group was beginning to come together on what to do when they did, since their next obstacles made themselves apparent. He waited for Shutmon to make their attack, though was deeply worried about the incoming projectiles. They were at a disadvantage as it was. If the enemy was allowed to push them into even more of one, things would keep spiraling out of their control. Unfortunately, he had no real defense against these attacks "If anyone has any kind of way to defend those attacks, please do so. We can't afford to let them push us back now." He said with his usual calm delivery. As for him, he had a way to make escape from this tornado even more difficult.
He flew up to the next floor and stood slightly behind Shutmon. All at once, the orbs behind him flew towards the tornado and got pulled into it. He strained his concentration to bring them out at different points. "Master's...Decree!" He shouted as the orbs started to orbit rapidly around the enemies. The area's gravity within the orbs began to increase heavily, potentially hindering their escape and drawing them further and further into the storm. He thought ahead and had plans for what to do next depending on the outcome, but for now this was the best he could do from this distance.
-----
Toki uses Master's Decree in an attempt to pull the enemy group into the tornado left behind by Sword Storm.
Master's Decree: The orbs fly out to an area and begin to rotate around each other at increasing speeds. The area in which the orbit will suffer a massive increase in gravity, causing enemies in the area to slam hard into the ground as if kneeling or bowing to ZenCherubimon. Afterwards, the orbs return to him and he bows his head back respectfully. (3 turn cooldown.)
Charges: 2/5
Cooldowns: Diamond Sanctuary 3/3, Master's Decree 0/3.

It would seem that some enemy Digimon were already lying in waiting for the heroes who dared invade the diabolical structure. Not even a second was spared between arriving on the next floor and being subjected to a bombardment. What was worse, it looked as though the trio of foes had the very intention of compromising the floor's integrity.
John still clung onto Casimeir's back. Getting off of the WarGreymon now would be suicide. Thankfully, Casimeir knew how to act in this exact moment. While Shutmon and Toki moved to the front lines, the WarGreymon prepared an action to help defend against the Nitro and Gear Stinger attacks.
"Hold on tight!" Casimeir called, reaching to grab the shells on his back. He pulled them off and slammed them together to form a shield. The chrome digizoid structure had the symbol of bravery branded on it. The Mega-level Digimon would do what he could to defend against the CanonBeemon's assault. He was ready, like a soldier of Sparta, to hold off the devastating attack.
"Brave Shield!"
Actions: Casimeir aims to block CannonBeemon's Nitro Stinger!
Brave Shield- After removing the separate shells from his back, Casimeir connects the two portions and uses it to create the Brave Shield. It can be used to block one attack up to Mega level for one turn. [2 turn cooldown.]

Formation was in place, group was moving, and progress was being made. Just like a well-oiled machine! Of course, the opposition’s best interests were to halt the squadron’s advance, and more fitting guards to combat a group of this caliber were sent out. Somewhat; they were still outnumbered by a fair bit, but at least they were now properly strategizing and aiming towards the ground in an attempt to make it collapse and further hinder their advance. Shutmon and Toki moved forward to engage the enemies, while Casimeir moved on to guard their position from one of those attacks. Which meant there were two left. Loire and Amelie had to move fast if they hoped to cover the impending projectiles; it was only then when the brunette looked below from her vantage point and, fractal code rings coursing through her left hand, jumped downward. Spirit evolving had become, for all intents and purposes, a second nature to her. Enigmon H landed forcefully in the ground below, some meters away from Casimeir; since he had gotten the CannonBeemon’s attack, it was the aberration’s job to take care for of the TigerVespamon’s attacks. Around her and inches behind the Wargreymon, a massive ice wall was erected; with any luck that’d be enough to take care of those two attacks. What about Loire, then? A surge of electricity raced from the sky, straight into CannonBeemon's location. Its intent? As friendly as a lightning bolt to your face can be.
Turn recap! —Amelie evolves to Enigmon H. —Enigmon H rushes to the position that's being attacked and uses Glacier in order to protect against the attacks that got past Casimeir. — Loire uses Tempest Halberd on CannonBeemon. *Glacier: A mighty icy wall is erected in front of this digimon. It's capable of surrounding it and any nearby allies if necessary. It can withstand every attack thrown at it for a single post before crumbling/thawing away. Cooldown: 3 posts. *Tempest Halberd: Calls forth a thunderbolt with the intention to fry an opponent and anyone else in the immediate vicinity of the attack’s point of impact. The violent and erratic nature of this attack ensures that it gets through pretty much anything that tries to block or defend against it. Cooldown: 3 posts. Tempest Halberd won't injure Shutmon if he happens to be near CannonBeemon thanks to Council's Accord. Relevant passive abilities: *Will of the Council [Team Ability - Passive]: All the members of this team and the ability performed by them can choose to completely ignore the effects of passive defensive abilities that might affect them in any way. *Council's Accord [Team Ability #2 - Passive]: Team members can choose whether their abilities affect anyone or anything subjected to them or not. Keeping track of Ability stuff. —Eldritch Harvest becomes replaced by Glacier. *Eldritch Harvest: This ability can be replaced by any active ability this digimon has learned about. This ability is subject to the cooldown of the last ability that it mimicked. When this ability changes, it must remain as it is for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Glacier: A mighty icy wall is erected in front of this digimon. It's capable of surrounding it and any nearby allies if necessary. It can withstand every attack thrown at it for a single post before crumbling/thawing away. Cooldown: 3 posts.
*Glacier has been active for 1 post. *Glacier's remaining cooldown: 0/3 posts. *Tempest Halberd's remaining cooldown: 0/3 posts. Enigmon H's 'known ability' list for the purposes of this thread. —Passive Abilities ——Reprocess: Drawing energy from nearby sources, this digimon can gain sustenance and progressively heal its wounds over the course of time, growing stronger in the posts when it's not receiving damage. Can have the side effect of deteriorating the environment in bouts of voraciousness. ——New Perspectives: Once every three posts, this digimon can vanish briefly, then reappear at a nearby location, almost as if space itself had folded to its whims. This can be used to set up attacks or get out of harm's way more efficiently. ——Quid Pro Quo: If any this digimon’s abilities would fail to hit its intended target, it may choose to allot that ability’s cooldown period to any of the attacks she has access to ——Clockspin: Once every three posts, this digimon can reduce the cooldown of one of its abilities or of the abilities of somebody at melee range by one post. —Active Abilities ——Crawling Chaos: A crude, yet arguably effective ability. A combination of energy from this digimon's tendrils combined with the residual goo from its body amass into a bombardment of foreign matter divided across a large area, or concentrated into a smaller one. This attack deals a significantly higher amount of damage to any good-aligned enemies. Cooldown: 2 posts. ——Reality Hemorrhage: Reality warps and bends around this digimon, changing the perception of its own self and its opponent. The next time this digimon would receive damage, whoever caused that damage is subject to the same amount of damage. Duration: up to 5 posts. Cooldown: 2 posts. ——Glacier: A mighty icy wall is erected in front of this digimon. It's capable of surrounding it and any nearby allies if necessary. It can withstand every attack thrown at it for a single post before crumbling/thawing away. Cooldown: 3 posts. ——Rend and Tear: While at plain sight, this attack looks like this digimon's tendrils senselessly thrashing about, there's much more to it than that. While a terrifying attack on its own right due to its sheer brutality, the main purpose isn't to damage. Whoever gets hit by it has their data makeup temporarily corrupted; for its duration, subjects take a moderate amount of damage per post, and become insensitive to any kind of ally-based abilities (shields, healing, temporary boosts and pretty much any kind of ability whose intent is to benefit themselves or allies, rather than to bring the pain to enemies. None of these abilities has any effect on the target for this attack's duration). Due to its nature, this attack gets through shields and other defensive measures with next to no effort. Duration: 3 posts. Cooldown: 3 posts.

'Its a trap!'
"Oh, for the love of..."
It didn't take long for the battlefield above to devolve into a cacophony of explosions and thrown-about attacks! Casimier's shield would block the brunt of the head Nitro Stinger, while Amelie's makeshift ice formation would have both volleys of Gear Stinger embedded within it, before exploding outwards into shards of ice and vapor. Though they had managed to hold their footing for now, it was more than likely that this aerial assault was going to keep up if the only efforts given were defensive ones.
In the chaos of it all, the Datamon managed an answer: "I just copied the tower's signal and blew it out with static to stuff the channel. If you want to call 'em out again, I'll stuff the airways with it!"
Toki and Shutmon's efforts attempted to quickly resolve the situation, both by pulling their targets out of the air. However, it didn't take much for both TigerVespamon to push away from their footing, energy-based wings lighting up and spreading behind them as they spread out to the larger machine's flanks. Much heavier than its compatriots, the CannonBeemon itself would be sent crashing to the ground due to its increased gravity, but wouldn't so easily be drawn into the Shutmon's tornado.
Neither would the TigerVespamon, holding firm in their position in the air - well, at least the white-armored one would hold back. The black-armored Tigervespamon, however, would clench both of his fists around the blades, and purposefully vault himself near the tornado's base. Both of his blades were held forward, sparking with blue electrical energy, vaulting itself like a spear in an attempt to blast out the very Digimon at the base. It was better for them if such a problematic, wide-area fighter were taken out early!
The remaining, white armored TigerVespamon would square off with the other known flier, the ZenCherubimon. Assessing the situation, the machine would clutch his left hand around one of his blades, the light of the off-hand blade dissipating, being absorbed entirely into the right. The empty blade was cast aside, both hands now clenched around the hilt of the empowered weapon, as the TigerVespamon would kick its engines into overdrive - and attempt to directly shoulder-check the ZenCherubimon, to force him into a close-quarters fight.
As for the defensive crew? Loire's lightning would shock heavily through the CannonBeemon's systems, leaving the machine sparking - but not down and out. Dragged a bit by the vortex, it allowed the fortress to be roughly aimed in the direction of the WarGreymon and the Enigmon H - and that might have been enough. At once, all of the compartments on the top would open, and a myriad of small, powerful, explosive missiles would rain over the three, intent on overwhelming them with sheer firepower.
CannonBeemon is damaged, and can no longer fly. TigerVespamon-B uses 'Mach Stinger Victory' to directly attack the base of the tornado. (Cooldown: 0/3) TigerVespamon-W empowers his right Stinger Blade by sacrificing his left, and attempts to body-check ZenCherubimon with his left shoulder to force himself into range. CannonBeemon unleashes Sky Rocket to attempt to bombard the defensive crew near the entrance. (Cooldown: 0/3)

At the very least, the team's efforts managed to disable CannonBeemon's ability to fly, though that didn't mean it wasn't still a threat. For now though, the floor was still intact, so they have failed in stopping the party from pushing forward. He let out a sigh of relief as the rest of the group managed to push forward and block the projectiles fired off, but now they would have to focus on the offensive if they were to push the enemy back.
He watched as one of the TigerVespamon dove into the tornado, an act that worried him, as their next move would be difficult to predict. Though that left the other one. It seemed he had agitated it and now had to focus on defending himself from the charging threat. Unfortunately, it had made the mistake of believing Toki was at a disadvantage in close quarters combat.
Toki took a deep breath and quickly brought his hands to a meditative position in front of them. They glowed a vibrant energy as he waved them in a quick kata before pushing his hands out towards the charging TigerVespamon. "Souryuha!" The transparent blue beam of light exploded from Toki's hands towards TigerVespamon, threatening to engulf them in its searing light of pure magical energies. The surrounding structures or allies would not take any damage if the beam were to pass through them. This move was something that, while borrowed from a Sovereign, felt like it was the perfect ability for Toki. It showcased his power, but also his care and gentleness towards those around him.
He would hold the attack as long as possible in his attempt to push TigerVespamon back, changing its direction in attempt to catch them were they to try and dodge, but holding this blast was straining. Still, it was time to maintain the offensive, not falter. Whatever came next, he would maintain his calm. To him, calm judgment and a serene inner self was the key to a warrior's strength. If he lost balance with his inner self, he would lose the outward battles.
----
Toki counters against TigerVespamon's assault with Souryuha.
Souryūha [Plot]: Zencherubimon centers himself, and draws forth the power of Ebonwumon to his palms, before directing them towards a single target, sending forth a near-transparent beam of azure energy from both hands. This technique entirely ignores those viewed as allies, piercing straight through them as if they didn't exist, to strike powerfully at a target. Deals high arcane damage. (3 Turn Cooldown)
Charges: 3/5
Cooldowns: Master's Decree (1/3), Souryuha (0/3)

Things did at first appear to be going their way. At least the different attacks were prevented from doing any damage to the tower. The strategy was a sound one, too. Pull in the enemies with a tornado, and apply gravitational pressure to further hinder the flying capabilities of the enemy. It was a good plan in theory. But in practice? Not so much with the striped nuisances.
Now John had some time to get off of Casimeir's back once he landed on the ground. As would anyone else who happened to be hitching a ride. The humans of the group were now at least together and could stay out of harm's way as much as they could. But as it turned out? The CannonBeemon had no qualms with targeting the enemy while their companions were in the crossfire.
"Look out!" John shouted, pointing up toward the incoming missile fire. Casimeir grimaced beneath his helm and brandished his bladed claws.
"We really kicked the hornet's nest, huh?" he asked, his voice having a slight light-heartedness to it. "I've got this. Shinra! Return fire at that CannonBeemon while I handle these missiles!"
Shinra shot a glare at her new target. "You got it, Cas!" The Submarimon's weapon ports opened wide. "Oxygen Torpedo Barrage!" Not two, but four oxygen-based projectiles fired off from Shinra; each whistled through the air and aimed to collide with the CannonBeemon.
Now it was the WarGreymon's turn. His shield ability still needed time to recharge. But maybe he could help stave off the attack in some other way. And even if he'd be sacrificing his own health from this stunt he was about to pull, he would still be protecting his allies.
Casimeir propelled into the air toward the incoming technique. His claws connected in front of him as if he was performing a dive into a pool. The Mega's body started to spin rapidly. His goal was to absorb, or at least, throw off the missiles from their targets from the vacuum which he would create. "Great Tornado!"
Actions: Casimeir attempts to disrupt CannonBeemon's attack with Great Tornado! Shinra attacks CannonBeemon with Oxygen Torpedo Barrage!
Great Tornado- Casimeir spins at tremendous speeds like a tornado and launches himself at the enemy.
Oxygen Torpedo Barrage- Instead of the two torpedoes, Shinra fires a barrage of four super-compressed projectiles. This attack performs 2x more damage while underwater. [3 turn Cooldown.]

As things were, the fight began to grow in levels of danger with each passing seconds; the humans, in particular, seemed to be targets that were rather susceptible to being gravely injured due to the caliber of the abilities being employed in this fight. Similarly, both Shutmon and Amelie found themselves in what potentially could constitute grave dangers towards them. Considering how her previous attack had been a direct hit —and one that was quite damaging, at it—, Loire decided that ensuring her friends and allies being okay was her top priority now. After all, by the looks of this, it seemed that the battle towards the tower’s cusp would be a marathon, rather than a sprint. Thus, before any offending attacks could land, Enigmon H, Shutmon, Tadayoshi, and Congermon herself disappeared from their current positions in a bright flash of light only to reappear from the vantage point that was passing through the hole initially opened by GigaSeadramon; the two humans and the digimon found themselves comfortably standing in the gigantic eel’s back. At least for the time being, it seemed like the four would be safe. “Everyone alright?” She asked from her position. “I think I got the timing right.” A mental nod from Amelie’s position was enough to prompt a smirk from the gigantic being. Since Loire had taken care of the defense, it was time to go on the offense! A concentration of foreign matter began to amass within Enigmon H’s tendrils, only to be released shortly afterward as a concentrated bombardment towards the Black TigerVespamon’s position. After it, she’d float away from the eel’s back, looking to engage with the digimon she had attacked before.
Turn recap! — Loire uses 3·10⁸ m/s to displace Tadayoshi, Shutmon, Enigmon H, and herself from their respective position to above the point GigaSeadramon had torpedoed before. They avoid the attacks targeted at them in the process. — Enigmon H uses Clockspin to shave a post off Tempest Halberd's cooldown. — Enigmon H uses Crawling Chaos on the Black TigerVespamon. —Then abandons Loire's back with the intention to engage. *3·10⁸ m/s: In a bright flash of light, Loire is capable of displacing her and up to three additional willing beings to a distance within line of sight. Post by Tadayoshi Teppei and Silence on Jul 21, 2020 23:00:36 GMT
Uh-oh- friendly fire! That bunny's beam angled straight through Shutmon's lower torso, and... nothing. Toki's attack wasn't truly as careless as it appeared to the naked eye. "Nice," the lupine muttered in response. However... "Huh?" Dakota was in a vulnerable position: he was just trying to maintain his twister, so he couldn't easily move or defend himself. That might have been no problem except that his attack was woefully ineffective. That didn't stop him from continuing to try, though, as at that point he was committed. All he could do for himself was quit spinning, raise his guard, hope he could parry it right.
Tadayoshi was even more helpless. He wasn't willing to let go of the WarGreymon before that floor was definitely safe, which put him squarely in the line of fire of the aerial bombardment. Worse for him? Casemeir wanted to go straight at them. "No, wait-!" he protested futily. The boy shut his eyes and held his head low. Lucky for them both, one of their comrades was a guardian angel this time. When Tadayoshi next opened his eyes, he was on a completely different digimon's back - behind Shutmon? "What happened?"
While the General needed a moment to regain his bearings after unexpected teleportation, a maneuver like that was just another Tuesday for Shutmon. "Nice save," he complimented with a grin before going and doing the same thing himself. As quickly as he had disappeared and reappeared out of range, he yet again dematerialized, only this time it was into the shadows instead of the light. When the darkness released him yet again, he was leaping from where the black TigerVespamon's shadow fell. "Shadow Strike!" was the only warning it got as Shutmon attempted to drive his sword straight through the bee's chest. When the boy recovered his sense of direction, he held up his Loader. Convinced by the Datamon's answer, he declared, "Commandramon, Deckerdramon, re-fuse and redeploy!"
"Yes, sir."
"Yes, sir!" Commandramon sounded particularly enthused. As GigaSeadramon returned to the battle and Tadayoshi shouted for Datamon to jam the signal, the great sea snake prepared to launch one of his bigger attacks. It would take a lot of energy for sure, but a big, strong opening was how this fusion was always meant to operate. "Oxy Shot!" The ports alongside the serpent's fins all fired off a... well, to the naked eye there wasn't much to see. The air sort of shimmered and distorted as if a projectile flew toward CannonBeemon, but the object itself wasn't plainly visible. Actually, the projectile was air: cones of highly compressed oxygen traveled at frightening speed toward the biggest bee. On impact, hopefully it would learn just how explosive could be one of the most flammable known substances under such extreme pressure when it finally ruptures.
"Pour on the pressure! We can do this!"
Shutmon was unaffected by Souryuha.Shutmon was saved from Mach Stinger Victory by 3·10⁸ m/s. Tadayoshi was saved from Sky Rocket by 3·10⁸ m/s. Shutmon attacked TigerVespamon-B with Shadow Strike. -Shadow Strike: This digimon disappears and reappears in an opponent's shadow, then slashes them for heavy damage with his sword. Cooldown: 1 post. -Quick On His Feet (passive): This digimon is ultra fast and agile, increasing his base speed by 30%.
-Sneak Attacker (passive): This digimon is highly competent at striking at the perfect moments. However, he is designed and trained more for quick engagements not prolonged fights. This fighting style increases his base accuracy by 50%, but his damage endurance suffers a 20% penalty. -[RAM Upgrade Xros] Machine Buster (passive): Due to Kamushi's inherent anti-machine affinity, his attacks release electromatic waves from the point of impact on hit, significantly increasing damage against the Metal Empire field as well as attacks from any fusion he is in.
Commandramon and Deckerdramon fused to become X4 GigaSeadramon. GigaSeadramon attacked CannonBeemon with Oxy Shot, consuming three units of Assault And Battery. -Oxy Shot: The cannons mounted near GigaSeadramon's front and rear pectorals all shoot a highly compressed ball of oxygen gas that travels like a bullet through the water but isn't as affected by water resistance. This ability's damage is boosted by 50% and accuracy by 25%. This ability requires consumption of three units of energy from Assault and Battery. -Assault and Battery (Passive): This digimon stores energy for his named abilities in an internal energy storage unit. This "battery" can store up to five units of energy and starts with three at the beginning of combat. This battery gains one unit of energy for each post GigaSeadramon does not use a named ability and each time GigaSeadramon is hit by electricity besides his own or an ally’s. Additionally, GigaSeadramon is immune to damage from electricity.
Assault And Battery has zero units of energy at post's end.

"Just do what you gotta do, kid!"
With the appearance of the GigaSeadramon, the Datamon would follow through, a cord briefly piercing through the flank of the sea monster as the next phase of the fight kicked off. As could be expected with artillery, the entire room was soon filled with the scent of smoke and a large amount of noise pollution.
And Casimeir would be right at the center of it all: in an effort to try and defend those behind him, he elected to take the CannonBeemon's full assault by himself, the powerful explosives echoing against and detonating around him. A few errant missiles were sent wayward by the force of the wind, but several of them were right on point - and though he might be armored, to try and take such an area-based assault like that was definitely going to put the WarGreymon through the wringer
That effort wasn't wasted, however, allowing both the Submarimon and the GigaSeadramon to let off its assault on the grounded target! The end result there was quite explosive, perhaps overly so considering the nature of what was being thrown at a sparking electrical creature. Hitting dead center, not only would those oxygen bullets damage the target with concussive force, it would tear open and release a gigantic blast from the CannonBeemon's soon-to-be carcass, one that briefly filled the entire room with a searing wave of heat.
The Black TigerVespamon, meanwhile, found itself landing hard where the Shutmon used to be. Left briefly vulnerable, the energy of the 'Crawling Chaos' would spatter across the machine's frame - but even as it ate away at him, the machine didn't seem to regard the damage. No, it had other things to focus on - like, where was that close-ranged fighter that was just here? Invisible? Teleporting? It would seem the Shutmon had the edge, but just as he was about to slip within range - and almost without warning - the TigerVespamon would turn, 180 degrees, and cross both blades to 'catch' and divert the spear upwards.
Something so precise? The Datamon gave a whirr. "... Tch. The two megas are sharing visual information!"
It seemed somewhat unlikely, but if Toki took a look forward, that was exactly right: caught up in the wave of the Sovereign's translucent attack, the TigerVespamon held his blade up, and supported his opposite forearm against it, in an effort to slog through and stubbornly push through the Souryuha. It was clear that damage was being done to his frame, but just like the other machine, it kept its focus. It knew not to give Toki a single inch.
... Which is why, without context, that single glance to the machine's right might have seemed out of place. But despite that, the TigerVespamon would give one more push, and once within ten feet, would attempt to give a straightforward stab towards the ZenCherubimon's, a powerful crack of lightning attempting to split through the middle of the energy - an attack intent on striking both of Toki's arms.
The black TigerVespamon, its trick unraveled, would instead try to push and dart past the Shutmon. It knew a fight with another practical swordsman would prove 'too even', especially with this many onlookers - which is why it pressed towards the GigaSeadramon, a much wider target that was protecting several more vulnerable people. And, as a cyborg, the same style of attack that its partner was doing would prove quite effective: it would stab both of its blades forward, and attempt to strike the GigaSeadramon with powerful bolts of arcing lightning!
CannonBeemon has exploded. Party visibility has greatly decreased for non-machines. The temperature in the room is rising; the air quality is temporarily deteriorated.
TigerVespamon-W attacks with Lightning Arc - A powerful, short-range electricity-based attack that strikes and hits the closest-available target, in range. (0/2)
TigerVespamon-B attacks with Electric Blast - A simple-yet-powerful electrical attack that fires in a straight line. The electrical current damages the afflicted target and all allies in direct content. (0/3)

Toki looked visibly distraught over the CannonBeemon's complete destruction, thought this only furthered his rage to the one in control of the tower. The temperature rose...it was getting difficult to breathe...these distractions were enough to allow TigerVespamon-W to break through Toki's guard and launch a close range torrent of electricity in his direction. His body writhed in pain as the electric charge coursed through him.
He looked in its direction, noticing something strange with how it was looking about the battlefield "Your battle is with me. Now focus." He said between strained breaths. His eyes opened with a fierce intensity "Starlight Gaze!" Toki's aura flared around him in an almost blinding display. TigerVespamon-W would find themselves struck by the aura's intensity if they remained in Toki's focus. They would feel a tremendous pressure that would surely make it difficult to stay airborne, let along scan the battlefield for their counterpart's vision.
They were gaining ground. Some of them were injured, but Toki knew there had to be more opposition on the way, and then they would have to deal with whoever their leader was. He wondered if it would even be a Digimon at all. What if it was some kind of corrupted computer of some kind? That almost seemed scarier than a Digimon in all honesty.
As Toki kept his focus on his opponent, he called out to the others "Overwhelm them with sheer numbers. Don't give them room to breathe! They won't be able to react to everything if we strike at once...!" He said, clearly strained. Sparks still crackled along his arms. He wondered if he would have lightning scars from that one...either way, now wasn't the time to muse about his growing number of injuries. They had to keep the momentum while they had the advantage.
----
Toki is struck by the arc, but counters with Starlight Gaze in an attempt to force TigerVespamon's vision elsewhere.
Starlight Gaze: ZenCherubimon fully opens his eyes and a powerful aura shines around him. The enemy his focus is directed on feels a force pushing down on their body as if the very air is trying to slam them into the earth. (2 turn cooldown)
4/5 charges

Like Toki, there was little GigaSeadramon could do in the moment about the incoming lightning. He was a big target who'd just deployed, and after that last attack he'd expended quite a bit of energy, and all that was without accounting for the smoke. However, the great sea serpent gave little indication that he'd actually been struck by lightning - that is, except for the fact that some of the lights on his body which shut off when his battery emptied started to blink and dimly glow. That lightning attack had accomplished nothing against GigaSeadramon. Worse than nothing; it had aided him. "Wrong target," he couldn't help taunting before slithering off toward the rear of the formation. One zap wasn't quite enough to get him battle-ready, so he tried to buy himself a little more time to recharge. The good news was that there was certainly plenty of electricity in the air to go around - that sped up the process immensely. Only GigaSeadramon was having such an easy time, though. For a moment, Tadayoshi panicked, his only viable measure against the smoke being pulling his collar over his nose. However, between his coughing and stinging eyes, it came to him - the hazard suit! The boy was struggling to semi-blindly, hastily run through his options on his Loader, and he felt a little lightheaded when he finally got the right button press. When he did, though, his face became encased in a mostly-transparent mask that did an adequate job of filtering the gas, only becoming opaque in the nose-and-mouth area. "General! Status!"
"Gonna be OK," Tadayoshi's voice was slightly muffled and distorted, but at least he had the capacity to speak. "Shutmon?"
"It's all good!" It wasn't all good. The canine digimon was audibly coughing through the comms, and the goggles over his eyes weren't perfect protection from the smoke. He was still tearing up and squinting beneath them. "Get back here, bug boy!" Dakota was getting very tired of these two dodging his attacks. From where he stood, he pulled his arms back and strained his face with concentration. "Shadow Snare!" This was one of the wolf's ranged attacks: if properly executed, his movements would manipulate the shadow of the black TigerVespamon to wrap itself around it and become solid. "Or... bug girl. Thing. Whatever. Who cares?" At that point, it wouldn't be dodging anywhere. It was a little tough to tell through the smoke, but when he thought he had it he signaled, "Black one's wrapped up in a package for ya. Pile on!" What would be the point of seeing an attack coming from a friend if the victim couldn't get out of the way?
GigaSeadramon didn't have to be told twice. "Down," he advised his General, whom he was now next to. Like a true expert, he was able quickly to prime, "Lightning Beam!" to throw at the darker TigerVespamon who, if snared, couldn't have had time to escape on their own. With eyes that were immune to this smoke, being machine had become an advantage for him instead of a liability. How would TigerVespamon like a taste of their own medicine?
GigaSeadramon was hit by Electric Blast. -Damage was nullified; Assault And Battery gained one unit. GigaSeadramon used Recharge.
-Recharge: This digimon draws in static electricity from the environment around himself. This gives him two units of energy for Assault and Battery (not letting it exceed five). Cooldown: 2 posts. Tadayoshi equipped the EV Suit. -EV Suit: A thin shell of energy that surrounds a human when clipped onto their clothes. They are protected from normal human fluctuations in temperature, pressure, and atmosphere. It'll keep you protected from a hot day in the Southern Tropics, but not fire breath. Shutmon attacked TigerVespamon-B with Shadow Snare. -Shadow Snare: This digimon's manipulates another digimon's shadow, causing it to grab and hold the digimon the shadow belongs to. This immobilizes an opponent in place for one post. Cooldown: 3 posts. -Sneak Attacker (passive): This digimon is highly competent at striking at the perfect moments. However, he is designed and trained more for quick engagements not prolonged fights. This fighting style increases his base accuracy by 50%, but his damage endurance suffers a 20% penalty. GigaSeadramon attacked TigerVespamon-B with Lightning Beam quickly by being a Seasoned Veteran. -Lightning Beam: This digimon shoots a solid electrical beam out of his mouth which deals electrical damage. This ability's damage is boosted by 25%. This ability requires consumption of one unit of energy from Assault and Battery.
-[RAM Upgrade Xros] Seasoned Veteran (Passive): Commandramon is not only extensively trained but is also a veteran of armed combat with lots of experience. Almost every movement he makes is so well-practiced it's practically a matter of muscle memory, helping him think and act much more quickly than most opponents. He brings this quality to all his fights and all of his fusions. As a result, this digimon may sometimes perform one additional action in a post. Cooldown: 3 posts.
Assault And Battery has 2 units at post's end.

Seasoned Veteran: 3
Recharge: 2

Post by John Davis on Jul 28, 2020 0:30:57 GMT
John watched with bated breath while his main partner jumped into the fray. Silently he cheered on his efforts, his heart and soul hoping, praying, that the WarGreymon could pull off this feat of bravery. Alas. The Great Tornado wasn't quite as defensive as they'd hoped. But at least the projectiles were thrown off-course.
Casimeir was inevitably peppered by explosions around him. On top of it all, most of the room became covered in a fog made of smoke and heat thanks to the demise of the CannonBeemon. John was forced to shield his face with both of his arms. The heatwave felt intense! His breathing was also hindered by the smoke. Breathing the stuff in felt as though he was intaking ash.
The poor man began to have a coughing fit; a violent one at that. Like Toki, John would mess with his Digivice and activate his Environmental Suit. A shell of energy swiftly surrounded his body. Finally, he could enjoy some breathable air.
But soon the smoke cleared from the area. Looking up, John tried to spot Casimeir. And there he was, hanging in the air, breathing laboriously. His armor had been scuffed, and his body was covered in bruises and cuts. The WarGreymon was still standing!
"Cas! You alright?" John shouted, a twinge of guilt and worry tugging at his voice.
Casimeir huffed and puffed. That attack took a lot out of him. But he was far from throwing in the towel. "I'm fine, John Don't worry. It'll take a lot more than that to keep me down."
"That the best you've got?" he asked, annoyed at the enemy for their wanton destruction and disregard for casualties being caught up in a battle. "My turn." The WarGreymon's hands rose on high above his head. Between them, a molten fireball was taking shape. Growing in size as the Mega collected the energies from Gaia.
Once the orb reached its peak diameter, Casimeir threw the fireball right at the target he knew could not escape his punishment; TigerVespmon-B. A target who would more than likely be ensnared by Shutmon's Shadow Snare. "Terra Force!"
Shinra saw that her brother was hurt. It was lucky for her then that she knew a healing technique. "Hang in there, Casimeir! I've got you!" Her horn drill became surrounded in a soft green light. Then, an energy beam was released from it, which would hit and then surround Casimeir in the same light. "Aqua Heal Pulse!"
Actions: Casimeir throws a Terra Force at TigerVespomon-B! Shinra helps her brother by using Aqua Heal Pulse!
Terra Force- Casimeir concentrates atmospheric energies into a large molten fireball before throwing it at his enemy.
Aqua Heal Pulse- The Submarimon fires a beam of healing energy from her drill. The healing target is then greatly healed over the course of 3 turns. If in the event there is a DoT status effect, it is removed instead of healing the target. [3 turn cooldown.]
Buffs: Aqua Heal Pulse: Heals target for three turns
Debuffs: N/A
Active effects on Enemies: N/A
Cooldowns: Oxygen Torpedo Barrage [1/3] Brave Shield [2/2]

While far from over, Amelie could definitely say that the fight had decidedly turned into the raiding force’s favor. The CannonBeemon’s explosion was something… relatively morbid to observe, but no less proof of their progress, if seen through a pragmatic approach. Sure, the heat was uncomfortable but far from the worst than either digimon had experienced in their adventures; far from a distraction, it served for the two of them to focus on the remaining enemies. What were their whereabouts, anyway? At least at plain sight, it seemed like Black TigerVespamon found himself on the wrong side of a dogpile; presumably enough to finish her off, all while the White one still found herself locked in combat against Toki. It was probably the smartest choice to make sure to finish the black wasp swordswoman, but there was also the fact that… Enigmon didn’t want to be on the path of an incoming Terra Force. Thus, the path ahead became quite clear. Loire retreated further back into the team’s formation and proceeded to contribute towards the assault on the group’s preferred target, while Enigmon proceeded to briefly disappear, only to reappear instants after behind the white Tigervespamon. Three gigantic blades of ice were quick to sail forward, all while the aberration assaulted ZenCherubimon’s opponent from the unlikely direction. With any luck, that’d serve to disconcert their opponents, and hopefully cause enough damage to either end the fight right there or to ensure a victory in short order.
Turn recap! — Loire further retreats to a safer distance. Then uses Icicle Blade on TigerVespamon B. — Enigmon H uses New Perspectives to instantly reposition itself at melee of TigerVespamon W. — Enigmon H then uses Rend and Tear on TigerVespamon W. *Icicle Blade: Up to three sharpened stalactites are created out of thin air. They can either be used as projectiles or as improvised weapons. In any case, they thaw at the end of the post. Cooldown: 1 post. *Rend and Tear: While at plain sight, this attack looks like this digimon's tendrils senselessly thrashing about, there's much more to it than that. *Icicle Blade: won't injure any allies in its path thanks to Council's Accord. Crawling Chaos won't injure ZenCherubimon in its path thanks to Council's Accord. Relevant passive abilities: *New Perspectives [Passive Ability]: Once every three posts, this digimon can vanish briefly, then reappear at a nearby location, almost as if space itself had folded to its whims. This can be used to set up attacks or get out of harm's way more efficiently. *Eldritch Might [Passive Ability]: The damage and effectiveness of all the abilities this digimon may perform are increased by 30%. *Will of the Council [Team Ability - Passive]: All the members of this team and the ability performed by them can choose to completely ignore the effects of passive defensive abilities that might affect them in any way. *Council's Accord [Team Ability #2 - Passive]: Team members can choose whether their abilities affect anyone or anything subjected to them or not. Keeping track of Ability stuff. —Stolen Memento becomes replaced by New Perspectives. *Stolen Memento [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*New Perspectives [Passive Ability]: Once every three posts, this digimon can vanish briefly, then reappear at a nearby location, almost as if space itself had folded to its whims. This can be used to set up attacks or get out of harm's way more efficiently.
—Surreal Memoir becomes replaced by Rend and Tear. *Surreal Memoir: This ability can be replaced by any active ability this digimon has learned about. This ability is subject to the cooldown of the last ability that it mimicked. When this ability changes, it must remain as it is for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Rend and Tear: While at plain sight, this attack looks like this digimon's tendrils senselessly thrashing about, there's much more to it than that.
