Wrong target.
That was problematic for the black TigerVespamon. It had intended to use the larger machine as a means to draw its current through everyone who had tried to use the larger Digimon for cover, but the Electric Blast might as well have diffused into rubber. It didn't do anything to even distract or goad the serpent into action, the GigaSeadramon seamlessly slipping into the back lines of the fight. And where it was, the machine couldn't afford to lose ground:
Shutmon's Shadow Snare would quickly root the machine in place, and the onslaught of attacks afterward - lightning, fire, and ice alike - would quickly overwhelm the higher-tuned machine, the TigerVespamon launched towards the back wall from the sheer force of it all. And like that, the machine would fall into a crumpled heap, inoperable.
Still, most of the effort was directed towards one mech. The one engaging Toki dealt with a similar issue, briefly held in place by what seemed to be the ZenCherubimon's sheer force of will, giving just enough time for the monstrosity that was Enigmon to whip across its frame with reckless abandon.
The WhiteTigerVespamon knew better than to stick around against so many targets, though! Given the relative chaos of everything else happening in the room, after being briefly staggered by that series of strikes, the machine would simply turn and bolt - intent on making its way towards this room's upward ramp. There would be a chance to catch him on the escape, but the TigerVespamon was counting on the smoky state of the room and the focus on his partner to make his own way out!
Toki had the right of it: if this place had reinforcements coming, then the TigerVespamon would want to join up with them! As the smoke would start to settle, the Datamon would give a groan, working to rid the built-up grime off of his glass casing.
"I don't know how rough it will be," the Datamon started, "but I'm reasonably sure that the defenses way up here have to be somewhat limited. Think about it: supernatural or not, what's the purpose of fortifying defenses this high up? It would take too much time to regularly send supplies up here..."
That said?
"If we keep pressing, we can probably corner whoever or whatever is at the end of this... I just wonder how desperate they'd get."

Even though visibility was rough, Toki did his best to keep his focus on the TigerVespamon. It seemed his allies were able to overwhelm the other one. The remaining one tried to use the chaos and the cover of smoke to slip past them. In one last attempt to stop the enemy, Toki glided towards the ramp to the next floor. Even if he couldn't see, he had a feeling where the ramp could end. He tapped his palm against the floor of the ramp, a chime-like sound echoing through the room as he did "Topaz Temple!" As he called forth the attack, pillars would suddenly rise around the ramp which could potentially intercept TigerVespamon.
Either way, the pillars would crackle with radiant energy that would fire forth between pillars and converge on one another, blasting any foe that happened to be trapped between them at the time. The light could potentially pierce through the haze of smoke, giving nearby allies a target if necessary.
Regardless of the result, Toki flew down to regroup with the others "You're right about us being lucky. If we had to fight an army of such things, it would be near unwinnable for us. Whoever is here has immense power at his disposal...power that can take the Digital World by storm if we let them. Once you've all caught your breath, let's move onward. Soon enough we'll reach the top...and the sooner we do, the better."
He looked around "How is everyone feeling...? If it's beginning to wear on everyone, I could push myself to my next stage and provide some more support and recover some of our energy. Just let me know how you're all doing. Be honest, as well." He bowed his head, concerned for his allies. "I know the dangers of pushing oneself and insisting it is not a problem."
----
Toki uses Topaz Temple in an attempt to trap the TigerVespamon while also potentially providing a source to target.
Topaz Temple: With a gentle touch to the ground, pillars of Topaz begin to rise around an area of ZenCherubimon's choosing. They start to crackle with energy before beams of light connect the pillars together before shooting into the center in a spectacular display of light. Enemies caught in the area are damaged by any of the beams that they cross or otherwise come into contact with. (2 post cooldown)

"If I were designing a facility like this," Tadayoshi disagreed with Datamon, "I would make my defenses heaviest where I least wanted enemies to be. If the top is where they don't want us..." He let the implication hang in the air. "...stay ready."
"Yeah, sure, but-" Even though the Shutmon's voice was a bit weak from the smoke, he wasn't yet losing his confident attitude. "-ready for what? That? They hardly touched us. This is insulting." There was some coughing before he emphasized, "I'm insulted."
The sea snake's eyes, on the other hand, were on the fleeing target. "Did you hit it?" Despite his mechanical vision, it was hard for him to see the target from his angle. "Save your energy, Toki. It may be better spent later."
"This human can go super, though? Holy! Why can't you do that, Yoshi?"
Tadayoshi was visibly unamused. "Don't forget smoke rises! Be safe, everyone!" MegaSeadramon did not use an ability. He gains one unit of Assault And Battery. -Assault and Battery (Passive): This digimon stores energy for his named abilities in an internal energy storage unit. This "battery" can store up to five units of energy and starts with three at the beginning of combat. This battery gains one unit of energy for each post GigaSeadramon does not use a named ability and each time GigaSeadramon is hit by electricity besides his own or an ally’s. Additionally, GigaSeadramon is immune to damage from electricity.
Assault And Battery has three units at post's end.

So far, it appeared the group had a common agreement. Continue pressing onward and fight through the defenses. Thus far? Everyone using a collective effort to tackle the challenge helped reduce the overall difficulty. The team as a whole had some excellent communication and interesting combos.
Toki would make an attempt to trap the TigerVespomon-W. John, Casimeir and Shinra each contemplated on whether they should conserve their energy, or finish off the enemy. If it was even required to finish them off here and now. Casimeir was still being healed, and Shinra was still in the midst of patching her brother up.
It appeared that Datamon and Tadayoshi came to a disagreement. John would try and offer some words of encouragement to help stave off any potential arguments.
"Whatever the case may be," he began, "whatever's waiting for us now knows that we're here and possibly knows what we're capable of. It's safe to assume they'll change up their tactics and try to take us out harder than ever the closer we get to the top of this tower. But whatever happens, we'll come out on top. Just make sure to be ready for anything."
Even though he wasn't the official team leader here, John still figured it would be good to share his advice with the group. Casimeir and Shinra certainly appreciated it. Shinra's healing energy still enveloped her brother, whose wounds were now sealing up.
Casimeir, feeling refreshed now, shot a glaring gaze toward TigerVespon-W. "So. What do we do with you now?"

A last ditch escape attempt, huh? These machines were stubborn, if anything. Luckily, Heraldmon’s own senses weren’t impaired by the lack of sight; if Toki’s attack had been successful, a final barrage would be sent on the TigerVespamon’s way before Amelie retreated and devolved. She probably had missed a part of the conversation, but judging from what was going on, it seemed like the group was about to mobilize. “It’s not like we’ve got any other choice.” She piped in. “By now, advancing it’s all we’ve got.” Loire nodded in agreement. “Doing pretty fine over here. Even if somewhat intense, that fight was fairly fast. Let’s keep the pace.” Truth to be told, the group had fought fairly well, despite them having next-to-zero team experience; quite nice, wasn’t it? Nonetheless, if nobody objected, the Congermon would begin advancing. Right now, wasting their time was probably the least thing they wanted to be doing.
Turn recap! — Enigmon H uses Crawling Chaos on TigerVespamon W, given Toki succesfully immobilized it. — Enigmon H then devolves back to Amelie. It seemed that the group wasn't quite done here, as Toki attempted to keep the remaining TigerVespamon in the fight! That effort, unfortunately, would go to waste: if nothing else, the swordsman was agile and its sensors were solid.
And, the Tigervespamon still had its blade: though it was temporarily cut off at the top, all it took was a quick slash with that emboldened blade between two pillars to cause them to cast off of the side, the machine fleeing with barely a single lost step. Disappointing, perhaps, but this was hardly the worst result for the team.
As for what they could expect at the top? The Datamon considered Tadayoshi's words, before shaking his head. "I'll agree that defenses might be somewhat tighter nearer the top, but anything they've sent down to us already was sent in hopes of stopping us. They'd have little reason to do much else than defend themselves from the forces coming up at them. The very fact that we're still here means that they'll be having trouble... hm."
It was true enough - as Amelie pointed out, they had little reason to do anything but advance upwards - but it was also impossible to shake this feeling of unease. Either they were going to run into something heavy, or there was no reason to be up here to begin with.
Either way, all they could do for the moment was brave the smoke, leave this damaged floor, and make their way to the next level. Perhaps fortunately, Datamon would quickly be proven wrong on the next floor.
There wasn't just a paltry defense standing in their way. As the group made their way up to the next floor, the smoke from the fight below starting to billow into the roof of this room, they would find themselves once more on stable ground. The 'pillar of light' still radiated through the center of the room, but on this floor, it seemed to hit a glass sphere, a device of some sort that was contained on the next floor. They were already close to the top... but as for what stood in their way?
"Holy..."
Craniamon. Even as it sat, its powerful weapon rested on its lap, the machine-type Knight's data signal radiated out at an almost oppressive level. Not only that, but this machine's make didn't match the rest of the fighters of the tower, its armor radiating out in its pure, amethyst glory. On its right side, the remaining TigerVespamon stood at the ready, as the Craniamon slowly rose to its feet.
"... This one doesn't feel like the tower." The Datamon traced its sensors right on that 'monster' of an enemy. "Tch... does that mean the Tower even has the potential to subjugate Digimon that powerful?"
Or, conversely, was it subjugated at all? The Craniamon would stand to its full height, extend its weapon outward, and cut forth - leaving a gouge in the ground, right at the maximum length of its spear, its gaze baring down at the group.
An open-faced threat, a taunt - whatever you wanted to call it?
This "Knight" was not going to hesitate.

He looked around at his allies. While he was disappointed he wasn't able to stop the enemy from fleeing, they were still doing well "We're doing great, everyone. Let's keep moving onward. We'll see this through to the end one way or another." He said to encourage them. "You all have my thanks for your efforts." He said with a slight bow of his head.
As the team made it to the next floor and took notice that they were close to the top, Toki knew it was time to push himself. He saw the enemy before them and did not hesitate as he landed from his floating position. His eyes opened as a flash of energy and data enveloped his body "I do not know what your purpose here is, but I hope we can have an honorable battle like the noble warriors the Knights should be. If not, I will still not back down." He said as the data swirled about and wrapped him in a large sphere.
In an instant, dozens of slashes cut apart the data and in its place descended the wandering swordsman, Kenshimon. His gaze was piercing, stance graceful and trained. He stood before Craniamon and bowed. For a moment, he was tempted to allow Craniamon the first attack, but given there were still multiple opponents to deal with, Toki had to strike first. If anything, it was also to gauge what the enemy was capable of. Toki took a step forward as a wave of crystals erupted in front of him in a wave, threatening to engulf TigerVespamon and Craniamon. Should it connect on one or both of them, he'd put his whole body into a single slash across the ensuing crystal formation. The motion was blindingly fast, an azure trail of light left behind by the sword "Crystal Song." He said as the crystals cracked and chimed before shattering. As they did, Toki's body disappeared into petals as a large flower bloomed next to the enemies.
The lotus bloomed as Kenshimon appeared inside of it. In a rapid series of slashes around him, the petals were sent flying towards the enemies, each one delivering cutting force. Then another lotus bloomed, and then more still as he appeared in each on, striking rapidly and scattering the blossoms in a wide area. "Dance of Scattered Blossoms." He leaped away from the final blossom in an attempt to escape before a counter attack from either of them.
-------
Toki uses Crystal Song to strike first, then using Tsubame Gaeshi, continues the assault with Dance of Scattered Blossoms
Tsubame Gaeshi [Passive]: Kenshimon is capable of using two abilities in one turn. 3 turn cooldown.
Crystal Song: Kenshimon steps forward and a wave of crystals erupt towards a group of enemies in a cone in front of him. Should the crystals make contact, affected enemies are encased in crystal. Kenshimon then makes a single, swift slash along the crystals. The crystals then make a musical, wind chime like sound as the cracks form in the cluster before it shatters in a shining display. [2 Post Cooldown]

Silence didn't believe Datamon's assessment for a second. Helpful as he'd been for GigaSeadramon, they were a little too convinced by their conclusion to lower their weapons and guard on their way up the ramp. They were absolutely correct - naturally so, in their own opinion. But that didn't make them prepared for the oppressive aura above them or the digimon apparently giving it off. Even the human knew something was wrong. "That's not good!" He needed intel, and he needed it now. Tadayoshi whipped out his Loader and did a scan on that threatening night digimon. "Hooooh, that's a big boy."
"What is- Gyah!" The snake darted to one side, and the wolf darted the other away from the rabbit spirit who was still, somehow, managing to digivolve beyond the highest level any should have hoped to even barely reach. "That's impossible!"
"Can he really-?" Both digimon's eyes were fixed on the swordspirit. As he leapt ahead and pulled off a chain of spectacular attacks, Shutmon had to admire, "Cripes, he's fast! Humans can do that?"
Though the soldier would normally have much preferred leading the charge in most cases, he had absolutely no problem with letting Toki make his move on this clearly hostile digimon. He knew better. They all knew better. Even before the results of Tadayoshi's scan loaded, Silence had a sense that it just stepped far, far out of its depth. But there was still something productive they could do: that bothersome bee from before was standing its ground now. It still had to be dealt with. "Target the TigerVespamon."
"Copy. Shutdown Slice!" Just because Shutmon was a close-up fighter didn't mean that was all he could do. The wolf leapt, but not at the bee - he went straight up, somersaulted once, and at its end he sliced his scissors in front of himself in an snipping pattern. The trail his swords left through the air remained visible long after the strike, and it was meant to fly toward the TigerVespamon's right arm. Perhaps both arms carried swords and other probable powers, but one less certainly couldn't hurt. If this mark hit right, it would do more than just do harm - the arm would become about as useful as one which was completely severed.
"Keep them away from the humans!" Following his own advice, GigaSeadramon slithered in front of Loire and whipped the space there with his tail once. There was conjured a crackling, occasionally sparking ball of electricity. It didn't move, it didn't arc, and it didn't explode, but it wasn't supposed to - not yet, anyway. One possibility for this floating ball of lightning was that it could serve as a deterrent to anyone trying to get too close to his precious general. Another possible outcome was that it wouldn't deter them, in which case the consequences would be... shocking. Tadayoshi used the Improved Scanner on Craniumon. -Improved Scanner: An improved scanner that subtly displays a Digimon's combat information on your screen. If given a post to clearly scan a Digimon, you learn their name, attribute, type, and family, along with a quick description and two of their signature moves. Shutmon attacked TigerVespamon with Shutdown Slice targeting their right arm. -Shutdown Slice: This digimon slices the air with his scissors, sending an X-shaped projectile of energy shaped like blades which cuts at a specific part of an opponent's body (arm, leg, tentacle, cannon, etc). This deals cutting damage and renders that part of the body completely numb for two posts, marking it with a purple X. Cooldown: 2 posts.
-Quick On His Feet (passive): This digimon is ultra fast and agile, increasing his base speed by 30%. -Sneak Attacker (passive): This digimon is highly competent at striking at the perfect moments. However, he is designed and trained more for quick engagements not prolonged fights. This fighting style increases his base accuracy by 50%, but his damage endurance suffers a 20% penalty. GigaSeadramon deployed a Shock Mine. -Shock Mine: This digimon leaves a floating mine behind as he swims about. If someone gets within a 50-foot radius of this mine after drop, it will detonate and deal electrical damage to everyone in a 100-foot radius.
Assault And Battery has three units at post's end.

Craniamon. Could it possibly be? John's breath was caught in his throat now that his eye shad laid upon the armor-clad Digimon. Was he a Mega-level? Super Mega? There was no way for him, Casimeir or Shinra to tell. But one thing was certain now. Everyone could be in even graver danger than before. "Is that...A Royal Knight Digimon?" John asked. He had to be sure. No one seemed to answer just yet. It left some time for John to openly speculate. "I thought the Royal Knights were supposed to b the good guys in the Digital World! If that is one of the actual Royal Knights, what's he doing here? And does this mean the Tower has him under its control too?" That open-ended question made John get a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Just how powerful is this Tower? How powerful is the one behind all of this?"Casimeir brandished his gauntlets in preparation for the fight he was about to get into. "It doesn't matter, John," he said, slightly worried as well. "Even if it is one of the true Royal Knights, he's not gonna stop us from protecting this world and the Human World from the threat we're facing now."The WarGreymon looked back toward John. There was a glimmer of calm in his emerald eyes. Just looking into the irises of his Partner filled John with trust. Not that there was any lack of it. Despite staying in safety with the other humans, John still would give all of the support he could offer. "Royal Knight or not. You can do this, Cas!"Casimeir nodded firmly. Now he faced off with his enemy. "Funny. I have a Royal Knight form myself. What do you say? Royal Knight versus Royal Knight?"John's Digivice came to life. On the screen, a prompt was showing in a box. [DIGIVOLVE]
Not thinking twice, John depressed his index finger to the touch screen. Casimeir's body had a bright light-blue energy swirl around him. As it took over, the Mega's body morphed and shifted. The process didn't take long. "MetalGreymon Shift Digivolve to...!"The light dispersed as if a gust of wind had emanated from the new Digimon. A blue cape unfurled on his back, looking a lot like the wings of a dragon. Blue Digizoid Armor covered his new body. "UlforceVeedramon!"The new Mega's eyes narrowed on the target. From his right wrist, an energy blade sprouted. He readied the blade across his left side, now collecting energy into it. "Prepare yourself, Craniamon!" he warned. Then, the Mega brought the blade across again to slide it toward his right side in a heavy strike. The energy in the blade sprang forth toward the enemy as an air slash. "Ulforce Aircutter!"Shinra, still committing to her healing ability, was unable to do much in this round. The Aqua Heal Pulse had just one more round to go before she could open up with more offensive techniques. At least if Casimeir wasn't healed before, he would surely be fully healed now. Actions:Casimeir shifts into his secondary line Mega Form and attacks Craniamon with Ulforce Aircutter! 'An honorable battle'.
In this tower full of subjugated - and potentially artificial - Digimon, Toki's words rang with an interesting light. For those first few moments, the Craniamon remained still, as if unwilling to make the first move himself. The Datamon looked towards the ground, seeing the gash made against the floor, the realization quickly clicking in the guide's head. "He won't fight us unless we approach first... is it meant as intimidation, or a real warning?"
Not that the Datamon's analysis mattered in the long run. Toki shifted forms, and quickly went on a fierce offensive, an impressive wave of crystal traveling across the floor, intent on encasing the target. Near simultaneously, GigaSeadramon shored up the team's offensives, while Shutmon attempted to clear up the fighter that had managed to retreat from the last floor. Alongside an impressive energy slash from Casimeir, it was evident that the group wasn't lacking in firepower.
The issue was if even all of that was enough.
Craniamon's challenge was met head-on, and that impressive spear was held firmly in his right arm. Before he could bring himself to swing, however, that wave of crystal would quickly catch at its ankles, its form quickly encased in an impressive array of crystal.
... A formation that was already starting to crack from strain, even before the Kenshimon would rush through with its strike. That musical wind-chime was mixed with what sounded like shattering glass, as the Craniamon calmly swung its right arm outward, the back of its gauntlet catching the UlForce Aircutter, leaving a small scratch against its armor. There were certainly signs of damage against the Craniamon's heavily armored frame, but their opponent definitely still seemed able to fight.
"... Like it was ever going to be that easy..." The Datamon gave a tsk, looking over to the TigerVespamon briefly. TigerVespamon were typically skilled one-on-one duelists, and as that single slash was thrust into the white machine's direction, the TigerVespamon countered with a technique of its own: without its weapon, it prepared and fired a powerful electric surge from its right arm, not intent on meeting the Shutmon's technique, but instead moving to arc around it and strike the wolf dead-center.
It was more interested in crippling the opponent than ensuring its own ability to fight, at this point, and the slash would disable the TigerVespamon's right arm shortly afterwards.
As for the Craniamon? As Kenshimon would start to retreat, and as the metal knight swung his arm outward to break through the air cutter, his grip on the spear would change slightly, holding the weapon closer to the bottom to allow the outer-held blade to have a much longer range. And that same outer blade would be quickly imbued with a powerful white light, an impressive amount of holy energy overflowing from the metal. Against so many opponents?
There was no tact, no strategy. Just a matter of using its overwhelming force to swing the weapon forward in a wide arc, the slash itself threatening to catch Toki if he wasn't quick on the backpedal. And from the blade itself, that holy energy would be released in an impressive, wide arc, that blade of holy energy on track to catch GigaSeadramon, Shutmon, Toki, and Casimeir in the same swing.
TigerVespamon uses an electrical surge to attempt to trade damage with Shutmon.
Craniamon meets the two attacks brought to him head-on, certainly damaged by the effort. Rather than wasting additional time preparing his defense, he readies his blade, and demonstrates the power of "Claíomh Solais" to the entire party.Scan Results:
Craniamon Super Mega Holy Knight Vaccine

Claiomh Solais: A powerful pole-arm, unique to Craniamon. Allows for the use of powerful holy attacks at short and long range.
Omni Shield: A spherical barrier that nullifies all attacks that come into contact with it. Once per thread.

"A power that is difficult to match...the Royal Knights truly are incredible Digimon. Whether you're the Craniamon or not, you certainly carry his strength." Toki said with a slight smile. Though he would have loved to negotiate, prior experiences in this tower have led him to believe they would not amount to much. Instead, he would take on the challengers head on to show he had no intention of backing down.
Everyone else was getting into position. Shutmon targeted TigerVespamon and Casimeir took on his own Royal Knight form. The battle was escalating at a rapid pace, but they all seemed capable of pushing through this adversary. His and Casimeir's attacks hit their marks and left Craniamon with slight damage, but this was only the beginning. Craniamon raised their weapon and unleashed a mighty swing imbued with holy energies.
Toki would meet the legendary pole-arm with his own blade. Drawn swiftly, Toki clashed his weapon against Claiomh Solais. He grit his teeth and the pressure around the two of them was almost overwhelming. Sparks flew from the weapons as Toki let out a shout as he slid his blade along Claiomh Solais "Celestial Redirection!" He attempted to counter the force of Craniamon's strike and carried it into his own. He tried to carve the kanji for moon against Craniamon's form that would crackle with a mixture of his own power and the holy energy of Claiomh Solais. Still, he was blown back by the sheer force of the strike, but not before he sheathed his blade, which caused the glowing rune on Craniamon's body to burst with energy.
Toki slid back to where the rest of the group were positioned as he pushed himself back on to his feet. He kept his hand on the hilt of his blade, focused as he waited for the next move. He went over his various moves in his head, ready to strike at any moment to react to the situation. He just hoped they were enough to push through.
------
Toki attempts to counter Claiomh Solais with Celestial Redirection
Celestial Redirection: With a swift draw of his sword, he parries an oncoming melee attack, deflecting the attack and delivering counterslashes that embed a shining symbol. The symbol is the kanji for moon and it shatters for additional damage equal to 50% of the countered attack. (3 turn Cooldown)

John, having experienced a multitude of different battles in the Digital World, felt confident that this mission was going to go off without a hitch. In fairness, he nor Casimeir or Shinra, ever experienced a loss as a team. Then again, it wasn't like the group on its own looked to pick fights everywhere they went. The main battles they became involved with revolved around the protection of others, and righting wrongs when they happened across them.
So color John and his team surprised when the Ulforce Aircutter, even combined with other attacks, barely made so much as a scratch against the Holy Knight's armor. Casimeir's eyes narrowed in frustration; the only visible indicator of his emotions. The visage on his helmet remained stoic otherwise.
The group prepared for the worst as their foe reacted with an attack of his own. It was thanks to Toki's redirecting technique that the Super Mega's counter would not dish out as much damage. Still, Casimeir and his sister needed to defend themselves.
"Get behind me, Shinra!" Shinra did as asked, quickly maneuvering herself behind Casimeir. The UlforceVeedramon then brought his left arm up in a parry. A blue energy shield was produced to block the Craniamon's blow. "Tense-great Shield!"
Casimeir dug his heels into the ground and grunted when the arcing energy slash collided with his protection. If it were any stronger, there was a possibility that his shield might have failed.
"If he was the Royal Knight," the UlforceVeedramon chided toward Toki, "then we're in a lot of trouble. It's hard to say if my attacks will even accomplish anything, given what we just witnessed."
John grit his teeth out of anxiety. "Is it even possible to take control of a Royal Knight Digimon? I thought they were supposed to be protectors of the Digital World. Agents of King Drassil. If whoever is behind all of this took him over..."
Shinra would be baring her fangs right now if she had any. "Don't lose hope, John," she reminded him in a soothing tone. "I'm sure if that were the case, the other Royal Knights would be here alongside us to rescue their brother in arms."
"She has a point," Casimeir added. "If the one behind the Tower got the Craniamon, we would be seeing other Royal Knights in our path."
The UlforceVeedramon threw a finger in the opposing Royal Knight's direction. "Even if you are the true Craniamon. We will still defeat you! No matter what it takes!"
As if on cue, a blue energy aura engulfed Casimeir. "So your armor's tough, huh? Let's see if it can hold against this...Shinra! We attack together!"
The aura soon took the shape of a dragon. It was an intimidating sight to behold. Shinra floated up alongside her brother. As she did, the drill on her snout warmed up and began to spin at rapid speeds.
Both Digimon, Mega and Ultimate, now rocketed toward their foe; Craniamon. They remained neck and neck, both aiming to attack the enemy at once. They endeavored to target the Craniamon's stomach. It was possible that the area was a weaker point in the armor. Even if they couldn't run the enemy through, at the very least they could dish out some damage to the armor to help their comrades.
"Dragon Impulse X!" "Submarine Attack!"
Actions: After protecting himself and his sister with an energy shield, Casimeir and Shinra charge their enemy at once! Casimeir uses Dragon Impulse X while his sister uses Submarine Attack!
Tense-great Shield- In contrast to his right gauntlet, Casimeir will create an energy shield in order to block oncoming attacks. It can be used in unison with his Ulforce Saber or by itself. [2 turn cooldown.]
Dragon Impulse X- While fighting as UlforceVeedramon, Casimeir will surround himself in a dragon-shaped aura akin to his AeroVeedramon attack. But unlike the Ultimate ability, Casimeir will attempt to strike through the enemy. [2 turn cooldown.]
Submarine Attack- Shinra assumes some distance between herself and the enemy she is fighting. Then, she will proceed to accelerate in speed and ram into her enemy with the drill on her snout as it spins.

Tadayoshi made reading out his scan results top priority soon as he got them, adding on at the end, "Watch that shield! Time your big attacks carefully!" That seemed like the extent of the support the General was able to lend because his team had to keep TigerVespamon at bay just so the others would stand a ghost of a chance. That was the case, he concluded, if that really was the Craniumon he'd thought it to be.
The best defense Shutmon was able to offer up for himself was to throw his blades in front of himself and pray. He hadn't expected the bee to stand in like that. However, Craniumon was not the only one with a shield. Tadayoshi had the eyes and the quick wit to raise his Loader, face it toward Shutmon, and declare, "AEGIS Bolster!" This was what the boy was able to add for real battle support: a short-term defensive barrier around Dakota that would push back against any attack trying to pierce it, cutting its potential harm to a more manageable level. At the speed of light, the Shutmon became connected to Yoshi's loader by a thin teal blue beam. A thick aura of the same color surrounded the digimon, and at Shutmon's 12-o'-clock it took on the shape of an ornate royal kite shield. The electricity passed through the shield and was not halted, but it was certainly thinner and dimmer when it shocked Shutmon.
This power was attainable only to Tadayoshi and the rapid response team he led in AEGIS. It was a point of pride for it to come in useful now.
"Unf!" He grunted like a boxer taking a jab and held his midsection for spell, but the injury was apparently not severe enough to warrant anything from him but a passing glance at the injury. "Ohohoho, yes! Yes, I have always wanted to try that out!" Clang! Shutmon had the reflexes to raise his swords again in answer to that spear's blast, which left his head attached to his shoulders but didn't prevent a deep gash from forming at the base of his collarbone. This strike sent him flipping over onto his side and staying down long enough to reset his momentum in this fight.
"Shutmon!"
After flattening his body to duck under the last attack the captain cried, "On me!" With the humans safe(ish) behind the serpent's trap, GigaSeadramon charged. It appeared he would run right over the wolf, but Shutmon sprang straight upwards from all fours in time for the snake to pass right under him. "Lightning Beam!" As the serpent opened his mouth, Shutmon landed on its head and sprang right off of the elevated surface for extra height and distance. He was well clear of the electrical surge that now threatened TigerVespamon. If TigerVespamon was smart, it probably would have set its eyes skyward after clearing or feeling the sting of that last attack. This was, of course, exactly what Shutmon wanted because he wasn't there. He was at TigerVespamon's four-o-clock, which Shutmon expected to be a big problem considering that arm wouldn't be there to catch his swords this time nor did it have its old partner to forewarn it. The wolf warrior went straight for the stab, attempting to lodge one blade straight through the bee's side, then the other through its chest. "Sorry we didn't knock," was his quip that went with it, but the humor couldn't hide a strain in his voice now.
Tadayoshi used Aegis Bolster on Dakota. -Division Ability: AEGIS Bolster - A technique that derives from the digivice of humans that serve in the battle division of AEGIS. With this, they are able to use their digivice to shine a light on their digimon partner independent of what moves they make this turn. This light increases their defense against all attacks by 30% for 3 turns. [Cooldown: 5 turns]. Shutmon was hit by an electrical surge. -AEGIS Bolster reduced the damage. Shutmon was hit by Claiomh Solais. -AEGIS Bolster reduced the damage. -Celestial Redirection (Toki) reduced the damage.
GigaSeadramon avoided Claiomh Solais. GigaSeadramon attacked TigerVespamon with Lightning Beam, consuming one unit of Assault And Battery. -Lightning Beam: This digimon shoots a solid electrical beam out of his mouth which deals electrical damage. This ability's damage is boosted by 25%. This ability requires consumption of one unit of energy from Assault and Battery. Shutmon attacked TigerVespamon with Shadow Strike. -Shadow Strike: This digimon disappears and reappears in an opponent's shadow, then slashes them for heavy damage with his sword. Cooldown: 1 post.
-[RAM Upgrade Xros] Machine Buster (passive): Due to Kamushi's inherent anti-machine affinity, his attacks release electromatic waves from the point of impact on hit, significantly increasing damage against the Metal Empire field as well as attacks from any fusion he is in.

Even amidst the defensive efforts of the entire team, the impact caused by the Claiomh Solais' power couldn't be fully mitigated. Toki would feel it in his arms, an impressive amount of weight weighing against the blade, forceful enough to shoot pangs down his arms and legs. Shinra and Casimeir would feel it, a great amount of heat radiating through the barrier even as it held. And even through the Aegis Bolster, 'Team Silence' would still feel that shock through their entire party.
But, with such a great attack, came an unforeseen weakness in the Knight. The Craniamon looked down, briefly, at that odd marking, before turning his attention to what he thought was the stronger threat. Both the Submarimon and the UlForceVeedramon made a very straightforward effort to try and strike the Knight's midsection - and ordinarily, that would have been met with a single swipe of that holy spear, striking the two of them down. But as that blade was raised, that glyph at his chest would shatter, a large, visible crack showing right in the center of the Knight's armor.
He stumbled - and was made to simply parry, raising the middle of his dual spear up to meed the two direct attackers head-on. The armor didn't pierce, and his guard didn't break, but the effort was enough to push the 'Royal Knight' back, slamming against the rear wall before he would finally regain his footing.
As for the TigerVespamon? His attention was indeed drawn towards the Shutmon. His vision was briefly cut off by the GigaSeadramon's attack, but it was of little consequence - a quick jump upwards allowed the metallic warrior to simply evade, and hold himself in mid-air as he tried to track the Shutmon's position. But in that mere second, the metal insect had lost sight of the target... only for said target to drive the blade right through its blind spot. The machine retched as it was stabbed, and glared right in the wolf's direction.
The insect's form took on a brief golden sheen in the next moment, before the insect would ultimately use the last of its artificial form to detonate itself - and hopefully take the Shutmon down alongside itself.
As for the Craniamon? As the Knight stood back up, the stately machine would hold its right arm forward, and grasp both of his hands around that spear. He gave one half-rotation to test, before he started spinning the blade itself. After a few seconds, the form of the spear would look like little more than a rapidly spinning sawblade, and a second after that, the air would start to whistle and sing with a painful sound that seemed to dig right into the ear. And that was for good reason: in the midst of this deadly fan, the Craniamon had let forth a literal storm of miniature projectiles.
Small blades of wind, forced into motion by the odd blade's shape, sent supersonic projectiles out in a wide cone in front of the Craniamon. Toki, Casimeir, and Shinra would likely be in the brunt of it: left unchecked, this continuous effort would start to leave small cuts on the surface of everyone in its path.
This was the Craniamon's Battle Waltz. If the group could handle the Craniamon's larger attacks with parries and shields, then what would they do against an opponent backed against the wall - protected by such a massive, spinning "sawblade" - who could peel them apart continuously, from a distance?
Craniamon's "Battle Waltz": The Knight lifts his weapon, and starts spinning it rapidly, continuously attacking all opponents in front of it with small supersonic waves. Deals slashing damage over time.
Duration: ? ? ?Craniamon uses Battle Waltz. TigerVespamon selfdestructs.

Toki was blasted back by the sheer force of Craniamon's blade as he dug his own into the floor to brace and slow himself down. At this rate he and his team would be defeated in short order. He needed to find a way to protect them all, if only for a moment so they can all focus on damaging the newly revealed weak spot on Craniamon's center. "Everyone!" He shouted "Prepare to strike!"His form shimmered as he shifted forms. The sword warped and changed shape, the data morphing into a large hammer, which a hand gripped tightly in determination. A serene form emerged from the data, eyes shining brightly as it announced its presence "Tsusagimon."
Craniamon was cornered and resorted to spin its blade around itself to create a deadly barrier that released supersonic waves at them. In the corner of his eye, he spotted TigerVespamon begin to heat up near Shutmon. He knew what he had to do. Toki tapped his hammer against the ground and it floated in place as he clasped his hands together. The crystals above him began to rotate faster and faster, splintering as he called out "Nirvana!" In an instant, the crystals shattered, creating a field that spread across the chamber. The waves released by Craniamon would start to fade within the field, and the blade it swung around its body would strike weakly no matter how fast it seemed to be going. Toki grit his teeth as he kept the field up for his allies. Even as the TigerVespamon self-destructed, the explosion would be drowned out and absorbed by the energies of Toki's defensive field. "He's exposed...! Get him, now!" He called out as he strained himself to keep the field active. Once his allies were able to strike, he would eventually lower the field and look visibly drained from the effort, but he defiantly grabbed his hammer and stood straight up once more. "My fight continues...I'm not going to let myself be taken by exhaustion yet." He said. There were things about this tower that continued to baffle him, though what confused him more now that he thought of it was Datamon itself...what exactly was its plan and how did it know so much about how to counter the signals? Or even be immune to them? Was it too late to ask such things? ---- Toki slide-evolves into Tsusagimon and activates Nirvana to protect his team from the oncoming attacks and hopefully leaving Craniamon exposed in the process. Nirvana: Tsusagimon presses his hands together and concentrates. The gems above his head splinter and crack before shattering in a brilliant display of starlight in a wide area. All attacks entering the area of effect are completely nullified for one turn as it is shielded by the miniature star formations. After its use, Tsusagimon can no longer benefit from Origin of Suffering for the remainder of the thread. [Once Per Thread] Cooldowns: Crystal Song (2/2), Dance of Scattered Blossoms (2/4), Tsubame Gaeshi (2/3), Celestial Redirection (1/3), Nirvana (OPT, Used).
