There it was.
One little twist of his words, one hint of the machine's deceit, and this group was now back on Connor's side. The strange human was an enigma on his own, but at least he was willing to divulge what he was allowed to, and maintain a sense of confidence by allowing the Wizardmon to control the situation. The HiAndrmon, in turn, found himself on the back foot, hearing the responses ranging from 'hopeful but skeptical' to 'one inch from outright hostile'.
One last push. All Connor had to do here was keep his confidence, and word this next bit carefully.
"A gate, in short, defines what a section of the Digital World 'is'. More than this city, the coding within defines the majority of the desert itself. To interfere with that and 'play mayor' is hardly the most noble use."
"Tch..." Yup - those words stung. And though Connor likely didn't speak for the whole of the group, with the confidence in the HiAndromon waning, it was becoming more and more clear that even what the machine considered 'logical answers' wasn't going to impress most people here. More and more, the machine felt like he was pushed back.
Even as 'gentle words' came for more information, he felt pinned into the corner. He had justified this 'atrocity' in his head, but 'knew' that such facts would not satisfy the crowd in front of him. It was another set-back.
Just one more group that wouldn't understand his plea.
Perhaps it wouldn't come across as a surprise, but in those few moments, the HiAndromon's composure broke, his eyes reflecting an expression of sheer desperation, his data signal spiking to an incredible peak. "Like I'd expect you lot to understand... INGRATES!"
Yup, there it was! Sensing the change in the air, both Connor and the Wizardmon increased their distance, as the chest compartment of the HiAndromon hissed open, a glass lens appearing right in front of his core. It welled up with an impressive torrent of light, before bursting forth an an impressive ray of energy, centered on Skadi but more than wide enough to encompass the entire group.
Negotiations had failed - and the HiAndromon made his unfortunate choice.
Atomic RayThe HiAndromon’s chest compartment opens to reveal a cannon, firing a fission-fueled ray from its chest towards a target. Massive fire and nuclear damage on hit. Energy-based shields are, instead, overloaded by the attack, forcing the shield to explode. Three post cooldown.

There it was indeed. Connor at least held the decency to define what a Gate was for everyone, but he also seemed to have spoken too much. For the HiAndromon was quickly growing more and more livid... Empathy was strange to feel right now when the one you empathized with was also the source of your irritation, really. "...There are potentially infinite uses for such a thing..." Mae noted, and she was about to extrapolate further, her vision cut out to reveal...a future? The next few seconds. A beam. A beam aimed right for Skadi... ... Alarm. That was the main feeling that surged through the Rasielmon as she made use of her plea, springing into action as she called upon the power of the Kernel to access her Super Ultimate stage. The now silver-and-blue Ophanim would SOAR in front of Skadi! "Not on my WATCH!" A dome of crystal would surround her and hopefully protect Skadi (and everyone else, should they choose to get behind this) from the HiAndromon's signature attack! This was a horrible idea, Mae.
This was going to get you killed, Mae.
But would it allow the rest to live, Fatebreaker?
Perhaps.
Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt.
Epitaph: This entity has heightened reflexes, thanks to her foresight being enhanced even further. As such, she’s able to think and move quicker in a fight, enabling her to operate at her fullest capacity.
Cipher of the Elements: Every three turns, Mae can apply one of ten elements to herself, changing both how her form looks (in terms of colors,) and how her attacks appear/work for three turns before she reverts to how she was previously. Oh, and her weaknesses change, too. They go as follows:
Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Metal, Darkness, Wood, Ice, Thunder.
Mae's Fatebreaker passive activates to warn her of the incoming danger. But it does not prompt her to run from it. She digivolves into Rasielmon - Preserver Mode, soars into action and attempts to use Broken Glass, a PHYSICAL SHIELD, to try and tank Atomic Ray! Broken Glass: Rasielmon raises a hand as a dome (or sphere, if this is utilized in the air) of what appears to be crystals rises up around her for a post, capable of withstanding an attack of equivalent level. The dome can also sustain two attacks from a level below. When the dome shatters, Rasielmon fires the shards for a single enemy with the power from whatever attack struck the dome behind them. Three turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Fatebreaker: 0/3 Broken Glass: 0/3

Maybe they were being too forward; maybe they were pressuring him far too much. The cresgarurumon glanced from one of her party members to the next. But with what connor said… Yeah the machine type digimon didn’tlike what they were doing. But hearing what he had to say? What the hi-andromon was doing? She felt that spike of energy. It’d cause her ears to flip forward and her eyes narrowed. This was not a time for them to be holding back; this mon in front of them was much more powerful than she’d like to admit. This made her nervous. The wolf took a step forward but mae took the first move: a crystal dome that would protect the lot of them. They had a momentary reprieve that she would not waste. If the andromon wanted to be like this? Well she’d offer the same. The wolf letting out an irritated huff. Her body taking on the glow of digivolution and shedding a few feet; her form becoming slimmer and a lot more regal. The visor of omegashutmon clicking into place and the wolf adjusting herself. Letting out a powerful torrent of frosty air from between her teeth in agitation. ”Pushed a little too hard it seems. But whatever I guess. Gonna get this shit started; cover me.”Silence took a more ‘powerful’ stance. Charging herself with energy; icy wisps starting to warp around her. Her eyes started to pulse, her frame started to shake. Her sword jittered in it’s holster. The wolf’s tail thrashed as she condensed her energy down to a finite point over and over again. There was a massive amount of energy going into this ability and with them being in this defensive posture if the hiandromon decided to attack her it’d open itself to attacks from the others no doubt… Log: -Silence digivolves to omegashutmon -Silence begins charging Ice Fang Dragon Passives: Hypothermia|Combat Passive: This ability projects a large freezing air effect around omegashutmon. Individuals that are within 150 feet of omegashutmon find their movement's slowed by 5% the moment they step within this range. For each posting round that an individual is within this range this slow increases by 5% up to a maximum of 30%. Staying outside of this range or using fire to reverse the freezing effect is possible.
Knight of the Mausoleum|Combat Passive: This digimon's body is freezing to the touch and the digimon itself leaves behind frozen tracks as though it had flash frozen each step. Additionally this digimon is unaffected by the cold itself making Ice based moves ineffective against it. While fire moves deal increased damage due to her frozen body.
Permafrost|Combat Passive|RAM UPGRADE: Every blade, every weapon of legend has a name. Every person that wields them falls into the abyss of the forgotten long before their weapon’s names are. This blade, as named by K herself before passing on is one of the few things she left to her successor. This blade is made out of a strange digichrome, hardened by the ice of the frozen mausoleum itself permafrost cannot be broken by normal means.
Further still, it is a catalyst of sorts, cultivating and soothing. It’s very presence allows for OmegaShutmon to persevere in such a way that many would not. It is a symbol, a symptom of a better world that those that get a glimpse of hardly let go. And within that symbol is a power. A power that can hardly be explained with simple words. Yet here we are, doing exactly that.
Permafrost’s power is simple.
For every attack that connects with an enemy target OmegaShutmon herself finds herself attuning further to the blade. Further still to the glimpse of that world, to that symbol. This attunement pushes her further, pushes her abilities to their limit. Her Damage input increases by 50% for two posts, which she cannot attune further with the blade during this time. She may start attuning to the blade the post after the attunement wears off. One post cooldown between activations.
Aura of Decay (passive)|Loaded Move: OmegaShutmon is constantly emitting a foul aura from their body. Therefore, making contact with this ferocious Digimon is not recommended. For every time OmegaShutmon directly hits the opponent with any named physical attack per posting round, the aura spreads to them, decreasing their defenses by a certain amount, per the level of ‘decay’ the opponent currently has on them. However, if the opponent successfully avoids contact with this Digimon for 2 consecutive posts, they can go down a level. This goes up to 5 levels, with the defense drop increasing in percentages per successive level: Level 1: -10% defense Level 2: -20% defense Level 3: -30% defense Level 4: -40% defense Level 5: -50% defense This may stack with any other defensive debuffs the opponent may receive. Move: Ice Fang Dragon: This ability allows OmegaShutmon to summon a powerful ally to its side for a short time. By charging it’s icy energy within it’s body for a post, allowing it to move but not attack. At the start of it’s next post it may summon a massive and powerful dragon out of its mouth. This huge dragon is created in a single instance, pushing away a single target from OmegaShutmon or ally. Dealing a large amount of damage and knocking an opponent a hundred feet away. This dragon once summoned remains for three posts. This dragon may make basic attacks of it's own and can act on it's own. Five post cooldown. Cooldown: Ice Fang Dragon: [0/5]

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Dec 2, 2020 4:51:16 GMT
Even as Connor gave his explanation to the group about the 'gates' in question, Kenny quickly found his eyes flickering between the superhuman and the HiAndromon as he spoke. And it just so happened that he had to land onto the titan's frightening expression at exactly the wrong time. Already having taken in the sheer scale and energy radiating off the mechanical monstrosity, his heart went into overdrive as a blinding light started to emerge from the HiAndromon's chest cavity. Oh crap.
He quickly shot a look back towards the stairs. He was, to put it lightly, in serious danger, and there was no telling how powerful the HiAndromon was, outside of a scan (which would've just potentially raised one red flag too many) or the data signals (and even that was haphazard at best, considering the context of the situation). It'd be practically suicide to stick around here! But what about his teammates? His friends? He couldn't just leave them to die! Not after they came this far! Not after everything they done! Not after they were this close to the end!...could he?He just quietly clenched his fists and took a deep breath for a few good moments. He couldn't. They'd find a way out. They always would.Needless to say, it didn't take long for Skadi to sense something was off. And no sooner as even the faintest glimmer could be seen emerging from the HiAndromon's chest, she took a step forward, striking the HiAndromon with a steely glare as she tightened her grip on her beloved axe. Only to find herself stopped in her tracks by Mae, before she could even lift Not that she minded. Only now as soon as the major glass dome formed around the group would Skadi break off her glare from the HiAndromon for a brief moment just to give a small smile and nod to Mae - before she raised her axe into the air. At the same time, outside of the dome, a giant icicle, practically dwarfing the HiAndromon in size, started to form under the humanshape controller's head. As soon as she slammed the hilt of the axe onto the floor would the icicle follow suit, ready to crush the hopefully unsuspecting HiAndromon right then and there into the ground below. Neither the freezing cold aura bellowing from Silence's equally powerful form, nor the threat that the HiAndromon posed from sheer power alone was enough to make her flinch. Not that easily. If that HiAndromon wanted a fight, then by God was she going to be happy to deliver one.
In lieu of using an attack that would otherwise result in the glass dome potentially being destroyed (or heavily damaged) by mistake, Skadi instead decides to outright bypass the dome itself and attack HiAndromon with a sucker punch in the form of Hailstorm Crash. Skadi's passive, The Unchained Winter Goddess, naturally prevents her from being affected by Silence's active passive, Hypothermia.Hailstorm Crash (RAM Upgrade): From the heavens, Skadi calls down a giant icicle from above, larger than the selected opponent’s natural size, and directly smashes it into the enemy to deal massive damage. This attack is able to destroy shields and bypass defensive buffs and passives. This attack also does 50% of the damage to Super Mega shield users (but does not break it) (3 post cooldown) Passives:Flight (non-combat passive): Thanks to the new wings protruding from her back, Skadi can now fly, allowing her to stand toe-to-toe with other flight oriented opponents, and allowing herself a new degree of flexibility in combat.
The Orbs (non-combat passive): The ten orbs, when not being used in an attack, are what Skadi can control on a whim. They can act as her eyesight, and are able to shift in size, perfect for spying on enemies. She can switch between what she wants to see on a whim, and summon them back to her whenever she pleases from anywhere she wants. If an orb is hit by an attack, they take no damage. However, due to their lightweight nature, they can easily be flung around by others by said attacks unless returned to Skadi, who serves as the tether, and prevents them from being flung off her.
Armourbreaker (passive): If this passive is triggered, any attack she uses will possess the ability to bypass defensive passives and defensive buffs the opponent(s) may have on them, as well as bypassing and destroying any active shields they may have on them. Each ability will have a minor cosmetic change to them to indicate whenever this ability is triggered. If used on an attack which can already bypass defensive buffs and destroy shields, that attack’s damage is doubled by x2. (3 post cooldown)
Snowbound (passive): As a being of winter, Skadi enjoys a complete immunity from any and all ice attacks her level or lower, healing back any damage equal to what she would have suffered if she gets hit by one (Super Mega ice attack damage are instead halved). However, in exchange, she takes double damage from all fire attacks thrown her way.
The Unchained Winter Goddess (passive): Skadi enjoys complete immunity from any effect from any attack, passive, terrain effect or debuff that would otherwise slow her down or stop her in her tracks completely, allowing her to move freely as she pleases. Cooldowns:Hailstorm Crash: 0/3 Cards Used (2/7): JT-25: Kuwaga Blade (1/1) VB-28: Mirror Shield (1/1)

Post by Colin, Luke & Bellamy on Dec 8, 2020 11:03:58 GMT
Colin held his curse back as he saw the situation return to maximum hostility. He panted from the effort, but he raised his digivice once more, returning Luke and Bellamy to their Super Mega forms, AvengeKidmon and BanchoCherubimon. And they held back behind Mae as she shielded from the onslaught.
Neither Luke or Bellamy were particularly big digimon, so they could be blocked from the blast by the shield. Then when the attack faded, both of them moved to take the offensive.
"Yeah, just like I thought, you're just a no-good asshole that just wants to wipe out everyone that opposes them." Bellamy snapped. Seeing all their allies open fire at once meanwhile, that made the AvengeKidmon exchange a look with his brother to set up their combination.
Without a word, Bellamy launched a large projectile into the air, which would activate as a small satellite, positioning itself above HiAndromon. Luke meanwhile raised his spear and cried "Thunder Hammer!" conjuring a lightning bolt to strike HiAndromon in retaliation.
Luke and Bellamy are digivolved to their Super Mega forms and take cover from HiAndromon's attack behind Mae.
Bellamy attacks with Pathfinder Mortar, not dealing damage this turn, but saving it for the next.
Pathfinder Mortar: Bellamy conjures a hand-cannon like weapon and fires it high above into the sky. On the next turn, a bomb (that can track toward his target, but does not home in on them) will land on the enemy, not only dealing moderate damage in a 10 meter radius, but acts as a beacon for Luke's Euclidean Laser attack. [Cooldown: 1 post]
Luke attacks with Thunder Hammer.
Thunder Hammer: Luke casts down a quick bolt of lightning, aiming to smack the foe down like a hammer. A basic S-M level attack with no cooldown.

Directly blocking 'Atomic Ray' wasn't a pretty sight.
Mae's defenses were effective, yes: the ray would slam right against the shield, and as it wasn't built out of electricity or energy, it would manage to hold - but Mae would still feel the brunt of it as she focused on her shield. Massive swaths of flame stretched left and right of the dome after the initial point of contact, and the direct center of the shield was left white hot, left dripping and molten at the point of impact. Even for a Super Mega, getting hit directly by this blast would prove to be dangerous.
Of course, Mae's efforts were not the only thing in play. The dome itself created a screen for the Rasielmon's allies - but it also limited the angle from which attacks could approach. Or, so the HiAndromon thought: sensing a difference in temperature in the room, the machine briefly found himself glancing upwards. Just how did such a massive icicle appear right above him?! A moment later, with a slam of Skadi's hammer, the icicle crashed right on down, paired right with the HiAndromon's backstep. He saved himself from being pierced, the side of the icicle striking him hard in the chest as he staggered backwards. A moment later, that quick bolt of lightning struck through his frame, the HiAndromon gritting his teeth in frustration.
"Tch..." Right, no more time for words. The HiAndromon reach forward with both arms and grasped onto that massive hunk of ice, easily ripping the icicle right off of the ground. Sure, it was no longer in the shape of a sharpened icicle, but such a tool would not go unnoticed by the HiAndromon. With a quick pivot, he would throw that ice right back towards the party, his aim centered towards Skadi. The attack was thrown high, and as it would land right now? Skadi, Mae, and Silence would find themselves in the point of impact.
Right after the throw, the HiAndromon pointed both arms forward, aiming his left arm towards Mae and his right arm towards Silence, firing a simple, powerful cannon shot towards the center mass of both targets. Despite going against so many powerful opponents?
Well. At the very least, the HiAndromon seemed to think he could handle all of them. Passive: Raidlock When fighting alone, HiAndromon’s maximum number of techniques per turn is equal to the number of Digimon currently engaging him. [Maximum Techniques per Turn - 4]
Herculean Expending an ‘attack’ for a turn, HiAndromon can perform a huge feat of strength with his reinforced body, able to even lift Digimon as powerful and heavy as a Chaosdramon, and send them hurling across the room with a powerful throw. More likely, this creates intensely powerful basic attacks. Three post cooldown.
Cannon (x2) One of HiAndromon’s hands turns into a high-caliber weapon, and a single, powerful bullet is shot at a target. No cooldown.

Words would serve no further purpose in this battle. The Ophanim and present company's efforts ensured that. Mae had initially thought that her shield would not hold up against the Atomic Ray, but as it turned out, she underestimated her own mastery over crystal. Flame stretched to her left and right, obscuring her vision and actually partially melting at the center. For a move named Atomic Ray...Yes, that was to be expected. She had to figure out what to do next, swiftly. Guiding the battle to it's ordained conclusion was her task and...right now, she had no real estimate of how much of what the HiAndromon was throwing at us was his, and how much belonged to the Gate. ...Oh, right. The throw. Mae looked up towards the icicle as it flew towards her and the girls, before she realized. She had no real way of defending them this time...So, she had to improv-... That thought was cut off thanks to a sudden feeling of something piercing her armor. A bullet. High caliber. Painful. Made what was coming next more justified. She would leap up in an attempt to dodge the icicle, one that ended in her being grazed by a VERY BLUNT OBJECT. More pain. Also kind of knocked her off balance. No matter, as Mae regained her 'footing,' she would turn one of the circles on her arms. The stopping point would cause Mae's next attack to be overtaken by fire, as fire coated herself. Blue became orange, silver became a blood red. Next? She'd fire Knowledge Stream, but instead of a beam comprised of every element equally, it was a beam that held flame as it's dominant element so to speak. Something that could melt anything at an absurdly high boiling point. And finally? Mae would will a portal to open itself--her Spatial Causeway, at the same time as her firing the Knowledge Stream. This was a very well known tactic of hers, as the exit point was usually below or behind an opponent. This time, it was both. The exit point would be behind HiAndromon, and the roaring wildfire that was Mae's Knowledge Stream? Threatened to incinerate his side and some of his behind. With luck? This would distract him further, enough for the others to keep hammering at him.[/i]
Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Metal, Darkness, Wood, Ice, Thunder.
OUGH. Broken Glass did not have a great time, even if it worked. Mae ends up taking both attacks thrown her way for some chunky damage, even if the icicle didn't QUITE hit her as hard as being shot did. In vengeance, she changes her element to fire, and does her usual combination. A Knowledge Stream fired through a Spatial Causeway to have it come out at a wild angle, aiming to sear HiAndromon's side and back. Knowledge Stream: Five became ten, and ten becomes one. Rasielmon unifies all ten of the elements she has access to within the ciphers on her arms in order to fire forth a surging beam of energy brought forth from this unification. It’s a severely powerful attack, so getting hit by this is ill-advised. Three turn cooldown. Spatial Causeway [RAM Upgrade]: An ability that can be considered mastery over Rasielmon’s ability to open portals. This ability is much the same, with Rasielmon opening a window through space on one and, and an exit for that window at another place. While the actual size of the portals can vary, there lies a grand purpose for them, which is launching attacks through them to extend their range and have them strike from an angle. She’s capable of using another named move on the same turn this is used, but she’ll add a turn of cooldown to both this move and the one she used. Three turn cooldown, otherwise. Silence was busy concentrating on her energy, pulling it deep from within her core when the atomic ray hit the shield. It flared up in front of her and made her blink; if she didn’t have a visor she’d be pretty certain that would have hurt to look directly at. Just how much power did this andromon have? How much did this gate give him? She didn’t know. With mae’s efforts in protecting them successful… well. The following effort was something that was hard to track with the naked eye of someone that wasn’t used to combat. But thankfully everyone here was some kind of expert in one way or another. The hiandromon was practically a blur of motion, from throwing the hunk of ice to their group to following through with those cannons. Silence had no other option but to weather the storm if she wanted to make an attack directly onto the android but… Her focus would be that hunk of ice that was falling upon them. She felt the energy of this attack buck in her throat and she’d open up her mouth. From within a roar of anger sounded; crystalline and powerful. A rather large and powerful looking ice dragon started to emerge from the icy abode that was her body. Rocketing out to meet the hunk of ice. Smashing into it and well? The force of the dragon would be enough to stop that attack dead in it’s tracks. Ice meeting ice. But compared to the simple hunk of frost that the other threw… This ice dragon was much more durable. It’s sharp icy eyes pivoting from where it was now ‘flying’ to the andromon. Unfortunately blocking that attack from hitting the others meant that the other attack that he shot out now instead would hit it’s mark on her. She’d grunt and stagger; her hand going to her chest which she could feel the pain of that attack. It wasn’t outlandishly powerful; but it still bloody hurt. Getting hit by too many of those would be just as lethal as letting him hit them with other stuff. Gritting her teeth the omegashutmon considered her next course of action… Maybe it could work? But she’d have to get close and not knowing what all he could do was going to make whatever she did sort of a gamble. Which didn’t really sit well with her. She’d twist her hand on her sword and gritted her teeth; she could feel the tug of her energy from doing such an ability for the first time. But she had to say that she particularly enjoyed the fact that… well. It worked out so well? That high multitude of attacks coming from all sides defiantly left a mark upon the HiAndromon, even if her gigantic icicle left less of an impact as she would've liked. But seeing him haul the icicle and toss it with little to no effort? And directly towards her, to boot? She didn't budge. Rather, she stood on guard as she dug her feet into the floor, holding her battle axe in front of her, ready to retaliate. That opportunity would never come. Skadi's - and Kenny's - eyes quickly shot to the source of the mighty roar that could be heard coming from Silence - a giant frost dragon emerging from the wolfman to stop the icicle dead in it's tracks. Even if it still left a mark upon Mae, her efforts ensured that the group as a whole would remain spared from a potentially worse impact. But she couldn't afford to keep her eyes off the android. Not for long; she just shot over a glance over to Kenny. "A little help here, buddy?" A sly grin could be seen on her face, and the young man knew just what to do; with a single swipe of a card through his D-Nexus, a massive flow of energy would course through her as her small grin grew into a massive toothy one. At the same time, an alarming mass of countless vines would emerge from her back, withering dangerously close to those unlucky enough to stand close by as they grew at an equally alarming pace - before quickly shooting towards the HiAndromon, ready to wrap around his arms and legs and root him to the ground, potentially keeping him stuck - and open to whatever her teammates had in store. But even if he had seen this coming, she still had another surprise in store. Had he been paying attention, he'd notice that the seemingly harmless orbs floating around Skadi's arms had 'disappeared'. In reality, as the vines grew, the orbs scattered within the mass. And now, they were floating above his head without making a sound. From between the ten orbs, a blue light glowed from the middle of the circle, before a giant beam shot out from above him, possibly ready to burn him through the skin. Even if he had protection at the ready to repel the other attacks, there was no way he'd be able to block this attack. Not without a spell applied to the orbs that would go through whatever defensive measures he had in store. The two simply had a immense amounts of tactics in store to stop him. And she wasn't going to slow down that easily.
In order to stop HiAndromon from moving in place to avoid the barrage of attacks from her and Mae, Skadi gets a boost from Kenny's JT-33: Algorithmic Reach card, sending out a mass of vines to bind and trap him in place, possibly leaving him open to her main attack, an Armourbreaker-boosted unboosted Eraser Storm from above. Eraser Storm: The ten orbs of Skadi form a giant circlet near her of up to 200 meters, before firing off a beam of light, said to decimate even the evilest of Digimon with relative ease, bar her own allies. This attack can also be charged for up to 3 posts, giving a +75% damage increase to this attack for a total of +225% damage. If charged up for 3 posts, this can also allow this attack to bypass/break shields, passives, and buffs to deal maximum damage. (3 post cooldown) Card used:JT-33Card Name: Algorithmic Reach Type: Upgrade Rank: Platinum Duration: 3 Posts Effect: Vines sprout from the target Digimon's body, writhing around like those of Algomon. They are strong yet flexible, whether used to whip at opponents or to grapple with them. Passives:Flight (non-combat passive): Thanks to the new wings protruding from her back, Skadi can now fly, allowing her to stand toe-to-toe with other flight oriented opponents, and allowing herself a new degree of flexibility in combat.
(3 post cooldown) (ACTIVATED THIS POST)
Active Buffs/Debuffs: JT-33: Algorithmic Reach (Summon Algomon Mega's vines): 1/3 Armourbreaker (Ignore all opponent defensive buffs): 1/1 Cooldowns:Hailstorm Crash: 1/3 Eraser Storm: 0/3 Cards Used (3/7): JT-25: Kuwaga Blade (1/1) VB-28: Mirror Shield (1/1) JT-33: Algorithmic Reach (1/1)

Colin knew by now that this was no place for a human to be in direct line of sight - what with super mega level attacks flying around. He retreated to what he hoped was a safe place, but still hoped he could be of use to his partners, who were still definitely in the line of sight.
Luke and Bellamy were quickly shocked by just how strongly HiAndromon was attacking in response. This fuelled their determination to finish him off as soon as possible.
At once, they realized one flaw in their plan - in this enclosed battle space, they had no access to the sky, thus Luke being able to follow up from Bellamy's Pathfinder Mortar was thwarted. The mortar would fall down toward HiAndromon as planned, but would not guide Luke's intended attack.
Thus, Luke was forced onto a contingency plan. He would strike with his spear, which sparked with lightning, and using the cover of everyone else's attacks, he would ram it into HiAndromon's right arm in the seconds that followed. Luke took care to keep his body elevated to avoid the effect of Mae's attack striking lower.
Bellamy meanwhile realized that in all the chaos, he was not targeted yet. As such, he took as much advantage as he could, conjuring a sniper rifle from his weapon data and aiming carefully. After Skadi used her card technique to hopefully hold the enemy in place, and after Luke attacked with his spear, Bellamy would attack with a shot to the face, hoping it would end this.
Luke uses Spear of Ezekiel, targeting HiAndromon's arms.
Spear of Ezekiel: Luke's spear charges with divine lightning, and he rams it into his opponent, dealing damage. If it hits, the target becomes magically sealed in the region where he hit. (If he hits their legs, they cannot move. If he hits an arm, they cannot attack. This effect lasts for 1 turn. [Cooldown: 3 posts]
Bellamy's Pathfinder Mortar, launched last turn, will strike this turn.
Bellamy uses Merciless Sniper on HiAndromon, targeting his head. Damage is increased by 30% as Bellamy was not targeted by an attack this turn.
Merciless Sniper: Bellamy conjures a sniper rifle and takes careful aim at a foe, then fires. If he has not been attacked this turn, damage is increased by 30% [Cooldown: 1 post]

As Colin made his retreat, he'd also find both the Wizardmon and Connor in cover, around the corner to the ramp that led to this room. To that end, the sorcerer couldn't help but look at the oddity of this situation:
"Is this simply desperation? Strong as he may be, he's holed up against four Super Mega Digimon. Does he just intend to fight to the last, or..."
"How does he win?" Connor asked the question at hand, to no-one in particular, thinking over the situation at hand. Because, truly, the HiAndromon seemed outmatched. Powerful, scorching flames threatened to consume the machine from above and below, a mass of vines threatened to overtake the machine from below (with a sneaky barrage thrown in for good measure), and the twins hoped to pick away at the machine from middle-range.
"No..." The HiAndromon, seeing both the preparation and the start of the barrage, simply wouldn't sit still and let the assault come to him. He'd shown the group that he was a long-range fighter before, so as the group decided to match him with long-ranged firepower, those cannons would disappear from his hands. They would quickly be replaced with powerful electric blades, one generated out of each of his wrists.
With a quick flick of his arms, a powerful 'X' would be fired straight forward, cutting through the approaching vines as if they were ribbons. In that same motion, the HiAndromon started to sprint forward, the Knowledge Stream itself crashing down at his initial location. The swath of flames would catch up, briefly overcoming the machine's position. Into that well of flame, Skadi's barrage of lasers and the twins ranged attacks would strike through, powerful echoes radiating through the room as they struck home.
There was a bare moment's pause.
But a moment later, out from that well of flame, a second powerful energy slash was thrown outward, this time directly towards Skadi. Following that, the HiAndromon sprinted right on outwards - and he definitely looked worse for wear. His armor was deeply singed in flame, his right arm crackled with electricity, and a crack was on his shoulder from the mortar explosion. The damage seemed severe.
And then it seemed moderate.
And then, when he was charging right towards the Rasielmon, it looked like there wasn't even a scratch on his body. Wires were mended, cracks disappeared, and even the data leaks from the HiAndromon's body were sealed shut over those bare few seconds.
"What in the world..." The Wizardmon looked on in awe, but for those directly engaged in the fight, this was no laughing matter! Luke's electrical energy did manage to temporarily disable the HiAndromon's right arm, but that didn't stop the machine from pushing forth with his 'reckless pursuit'. One slash towards the vines, another towards Skadi - and with a third push in that short span, he'd try and close the distance towards Mae, and drive his left blade directly into her midsection.
There was something else at play here, Connor letting out a 'tsk'. "Is he somehow still commanding the Gate like this? Or maybe the tower itself has something to do with it..."
Passive Revealed: Functional Invincibility.HiAndromon is not immune to knockback, damage, or status effects, but any damage - even fatal damage - is fully recovered over the next several seconds. This is dependent on an external effect, of some sort. Energy BladeHiAndromon switches modes, and loses the ability to use MiniGun until this mode is cancelled. A powerful electric blade is generated out of each of his wrists, which he is able to use as weapons in close-range combat. In this mode, his speed is increased by 100%. Additionally, he can use an ‘attack’ in the turn to swing the blade, and send an arc of energy out towards a target, dealing electrical damage on hit. Maximum attacks reduced by one due to Spear of Ezekiel. (3/4) Energy Blade x1 used to slash through the oncoming vines. Energy Blade x1 used to attack Skadi at middle-range. Energy Blade x1 used to try and stab Mae directly.

To see the onslaught of their attacks slam home time and time again brought a small edge of a grin to her lips. Her stance widened a little bit and she got to see the machine go from being practically slag… To… ”...Hyper regeneration huh?”She knew a few folks that had that; a few people that would depend on it in fights. But that sort of level of regeneration was just outwardly. She’d grit her teeth a little bit and adjust her stance, her sword arm coming up to one side and the other with a free hand clenching to form a fist. She’d pulse a length of icy energy upon her sword, getting it ready... ”Then we cut his control off somehow.”Her motion was also met with a roar from her dragon that still circled around the battle, rubbing along the walls and bringing it’s tail down in a motion to try to crush the andromon under the weight of it’s long sinuous body. She’d let loose her frozen wave of energy in an upperhand stroke the wave looking to crash into the side of the andromon’s body. She was looking to create as many openings as physically possible and had many tools at her disposal to do so… Log: -Ice fang dragon makes an attack of it’s own against the andromon! -Silence uses Mausoleum cross to attack the andromon from the side! Passives: Hypothermia|Combat Passive: This ability projects a large freezing air effect around omegashutmon.
Mark of the Knight|Passive: Each individual within the order have their own marking it may be located anywhere they please as long as it's easy to see/find. It signifies their power and their ability to act on their own or in a group. This symbol provides them with a Light regen[5%] per combat posting round.
Move: Mausoleum Cross: Using the physical blade that it carries as a catalyst this digimon may make slashing attacks at a range. These energy waves are freezing to the touch and if struck by them cleanly run the risk of freezing over the affected limb. Deals light damage on their own. Each hit slows a digimon down by a small amount and caps out at a large reduction. One post cool down between waves. Slow lasts for three posts and does not refresh until the next grouping.
Ice Fang Dragon: This ability allows OmegaShutmon to summon a powerful ally to its side for a short time. Duration: IFD: ⅔ MC: 0/3? Cooldown: IFD: 0/5 MC: 0/1

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Feb 2, 2021 3:35:26 GMT
Colin had the right idea at least, retreating to safety to avoid being caught in the crossfire. So as Colin fled to safety, so did he, following him in turn. Would Colin mind? Well, that had to be for later. For now, all he had to focus on was his own safety, and his partner.
So that HiAndromon effortlessly cut through the vines like a knife through warm butter; no matter. As the sliced off vines withered away the surviving vines would just retreat back to Skadi's side, ever regrowing themselves. Besides, it at least didn't stop the massive barrage of attacks from falling upon him and practically swallowing him alive, and it didn't stop him from charging headlong into Skadi, ready to slash her once more. Not that she was willing to budge so easily. Rather, with a rapid twirl of her axe, and look of grit upon her face, a light blue energy shield would emerge in front of her, and with that, the HiAndromon would simply find his attack left no scratch upon it at all. The moment she stopped twirling, a shockwave would blast towards the HiAndromon, it's force alone able to send him flying upon mere contact. Perfect chance to buy the team enough time to lay the hurt. And yet, even as the HiAndromon continued his charge towards Mae, she stood in shock as the vines roared back to life once more, "How..."
A quick glance by Kenny would elicit a similar reaction from him, "What the hell...?Yes, both of them knew the average Digimon could possess regeneration, but not to the extent that this one could do. They knew they had to cut him off from the source, but that was easier said than done. How were they able to cut him off if he was practically invincible, ready to strike from anywhere at any time? And in a short amount of time, to boot? They had to focus on that in a minute. Right now, Mae faced trouble as the HiAndromon threatened to slash at her this time around. If nothing else, they had to buy time for her. And fast. Her gaze still locked onto the HiAndromon, her vines rushed headlong towards him at high speeds once more. "Oh no you don't!" Skadi cried through gritted teeth. Just as she said that, the vines flew towards the HiAndromon's left arm, ready to grapple onto it and pull it away from Mae as much as possible, just so she could buy some time in order to survive. At the same time, away from the conflict, and without saying a word, Kenny would just swipe a card in the D-Nexus, but this time, his focus fell upon Mae. In turn, a giant bubble would surround Mae herself, and with any luck, the next attack coming Mae's way would have it's damaged reduced. It was more of a desperation move, courtesy of Kenny, but he had to help in some way, potentially buying her just a few more seconds to recoup herself and get back to returning the favour as soon as he could. Cut his control off somehow? How were they going to do it? He just turned to Colin, "Hey, Colin. Can you spot anything we could use to potentially cut control off him, just so he doesn't regenerate every 5 seconds?" For now, he'd just keep looking. Something, anything could possibly be at use. Skadi blocks HiAndromon's attack by using Protection, creating a shockwave to potentially counter him with. But as he charges at Mae, she uses her vines to grab at his arms to pull back just long enough, while Kenny opts to buy Mae time by using the card, SD-09: Bota Bubble, on her. Protection: Skadi spins her axe rapidly, generating a light blue shield to protect herself and whoever’s in front of her, cool to the touch for allies, punishing for enemies. When struck by a non-OPT attack, Skadi nullifies the attack and fires off a powerful shockwave from where the attack came, dealing the same amount of damage that attack would have hit her with, along with any secondary effects she would have suffered had she gotten hit. A Super Mega attack breaks the shield, but damage is instead reduced by 50%. Something was awry here. Something was horribly awry and the thought of that was equal parts perplexing and terrifying to the one called Fatebreaker. The machine had been practically swallowed from all sides by some of the strongest attacks that the Digital World had seen in recent years and what happened? He took them and he just healed them away IN SECONDS. ACTUAL. SECONDS. WHAT? There was no time to be taken aback at how this guy was still standing, however. As he surged forth in what may well have been an attack as if he were at full strength, which...Given the fact something was powering him...May as well have been the case. And to the credit of Kenny and Skadi's swift thinking, the blade made contact with the Bota Bubble that swiftly surrounded her. There was a shockwave, but given Mae had attempted to fly in a way to avoid the blade, it'd still graze her. And it'd still goddamn hurt. But, the bubble bought her time. "...What kind of king...can't fight someone standing on his own two feet...?" Hissed words as she flew back, putting a hand to her head as she focused. Two things to do here. One, put some distance here. And get to destroying this room. Maybe that might work. She swiped forth Duftmon's card. Vulcan Crusher. Pillars of bedrock would hopefully begin to crash through the room, though it didn't seemed aimed at anymore. More...the technology. Return to the earth. Her next move? A risky maneuver she had recently come up with. Mind Charge. She put a thumb to her forehead as she would focus inward, her blue parts glowing. It would hasten her recovery process when it came down to abilities. She had a feeling she knew there was one way to try cutting that connection off somehow. She had to prepare.
There are a few things to address here. First, Mae managed to use Kenny's Bota Bubble to mitigate some of the damage from HiAndromon's attack. Next, she slashes Duftmon's card, using Vulcan Crusher to try causing damage...TO THE ROOM. And maybe HiAndromon himself. Mostly the room. THEN. She uses Mind Charge. NS-18 Card Name: Duftmon Type: Digimon Rank: Chrome Digizoid Duration: 1 Post Conquest: The target Digimon releases small globes of light from its body, which detonate like mines if approached too closely. Vulcan Crusher: The target Digimon sends pillars of bedrock crashing through the ground. Mind Charge [RAM Upgrade]: Rasielmon becomes inactive for a turn, leaving her open to attack as she gathers power. This doesn’t actually charge up power within her, but it does lower every cooldown she has active by two posts during the turn this is used rather than one. Three turn cooldown. A lot happened. Durations: Cipher: 1/3 Cooldowns: Fatebreaker: 3/3 Broken Glass: 3/3 Cipher: 2/3 Knowledge Stream: 2/4 Spatial Causeway: 2/4 Mind Charge: 0/3 Cards Swiped...2/3? 2/3.

Colin didn't mind as Kenny withdrew along with him. He couldn't help but think Wizardmon was onto something here. The HiAndromon facing off against so many Super Mega level digimon and not backing down... something wasn't right about that. He could think of very little scenarios in which a sentient digimon would face these odds unless they had a deathwish... or a trump card.
All he could do was watch for the effect of everyone's attacks against him. All that firepower would have surely destroyed the average digimon, but, HiAndromon proved himself to be more than the average digimon. He survived the onslaught, and to the trio's horror, seemed to be repairing himself.
“Luke! Bells! Fall back!” Colin told his partners. The twin digimon were in touch with him enough to agree to this without objection, as Silence, Skadi and Mae pressed forth with their offensive. They withdrew from the immediate battle and landed near Colin, Kenny, Connor and Wizardmon.
Kenny asked if he could see anything that cut off Andromon from his ability to regenerate. Colin tried an initial look, but couldn't recognize anything that could be of use. Out of desperation, he turned to Connor and Wizardmon.
“Do you guys have any idea?” he asked, urgently. “The others have HiAndromon pinned down for the moment, but not for long. If you have a target for Luke and Bellamy that can help turn this around, please tell us now!”
The BanchoCherubimon and AvengeKidmon nodded with consent, ready to strike where directed.
Luke and Bellamy do not attack this round, but return to Colin's side.
Colin asks Connor and Wizardmon for advice on how to deal with HiAndromon's regenerative abilities.
Spear of Ezekiel cooldown: 1/3
Merciless Sniper cooldown: 1/1 (ready next post).
