Mandrake and Lothar walked on a path alongside a lava river in the Spears of Megiddo. The Wizardmon and Leomon duo were looking for some digimon who had apparently gone missing while heading out to do some business with some Meramon. Things had gotten quite suspicious when various rescue parties had gone missing as well. The two friends were told that the Meramon were usually friendly and timid digimon but could become aggressive if they felt threatened. Mandrake doubted the Meramon were responsible for the digimon going missing if the information was accurate.
As the two friends walked along Mandrake had begun reaching out telepathically to look for the mental signatures of the missing digimon while Lothar ears flicked as he listened for potential aggressive digimon. It had so far been quiet to the point of it being hauntingly so which unnerved the two friends. Then Mandrake sensed presences of four digimon shortly before four Meramon burst out of the lava and approached the two of them causing Mandrake and Lothar to take several steps back to avoid being splashed by lava. Lothar took an aggressive stance before Mandrake cut his friend off with an arm in front of the Leomon. "Wait Lothar, if these are the Meramon we've heard about, perhaps violence isn't necessary. Let me handle this." Lothar nodded and stepped back as Mandrake said "Magical Game." Mandrake waved one of his hands and the illusion of a giant funnel of water appeared in front of the Meramon which caused the timid digimon to dive back into the lava and swim out of sight. The very tall and visible illusion vanished shortly after.
While dealing with the Meramon Mandrake had closed his mind to others so he could focus on using his illusion so the Wizardmon was currently unaware of the danger approaching them. Suddenly Mandrake was alerted by Lothar shouting "Mandrake, look out!" Next thing Mandrake knew was that his friend had thrown himself in front of an oncoming attack taking the brunt of it. After the bright light brought on by the attack was over Mandrake found himself lying on the ground with his hat completely destroyed, his cape in tatters, and his scarf that served as his hair tie was missing and presumed destroyed as well. Lifting his head he looked around for Lothar and found his friend lying on the ground in a badly injured state. Due to Lothar's injuries he had reverted to his muscular rookie form of Elecmon to recuperate.
"L-Lothar?" Mandrake managed to croak as he painfully sat up and attempted to move to his friend.
However he hadn't gotten any further as a voice called out. "Not another move!"
Before he could say anything his arms were seized by a pair of clawed hands as he was forcefully pulled to his feet. Shortly a Strikedramon appeared in his line of vision holding his staff in one hand and the Infini-Cube that carried Lothar's things in the other. Soon the source of the voice revealed itself as a Cyberdramon landed right next to Lothar. "I must say I'm impressed. Most digimon I've hit with that attack haven't survived but it seems he'll be unable to be of use to me." Then with a cruel smirk he said "Maybe I should put him out of his misery."
Mandrake struggled in the grip of what he noticed was a Devidramon and yelled "No!"
Mandrake watched in horror as the Cyberdramon grabbed his injured friend in a less than gentle manner and looked at the muscular Elecmon as if considering something before he said "Then again, if he recovers he could be useful. Judging by his build he must be strong. Tell you what, if you surrender willingly I'll spare your friend."
This was the second time his friend was used as a hostage but it seemed like this time it wouldn't backfire on this Cyberdramon. "Very well. I surrender."
"That's a good boy. You'll get your friend back when we reach headquarters. All right men back to base." With those words said the group made their way back to where ever their headquarters was. Unbeknownst to Mandrake his scarf had somehow survived the attack and was lying on the ground against a rock.
The group that attacked and captured the two friends made their way to a series of caves and entered one of them. Soon they made it to what looked like a dungeon filled with various frightened digimon. Approaching an empty cell Strikedramon unlocked it and Devidramon shoved Mandrake inside. Then, with a smirk, Cyberdramon pitched Lothar into the cell. Mandrake caught his friend with his telekinesis and lowered him to the floor as the cell door slammed shut. Devidramon left the dungeon standing guard at the entrance to it. Cyberdramon left the dungeon all together while Strikedramon searched through the Infini-Store.
Mandrake's hand began glowing as he muttered "Cleansing Soul." All he could do was heal Lothar's minor injuries so it wouldn't help much. A short time later, Strikedramon returned the Infini-Store and its contents. Apparently the few possessions Lothar had weren't considered dangerous. While Strikedramon left with Mandrake's staff, Mandrake removed a thermal blanket and the first aid kit from the Infini-Store. He then began to treat and bandage his friend's injuries. When he was done he returned the first aid kit to the Infini-Store. He then removed his tattered cape and folded it before placing it under Lothar's head. He then covered his friend with the thermal blanket before he leaned against the wall of the cell. How was he going to get them out of this mess?

Some time had passed since the two latest adventures in Faustein's life. The first of these was the near-deadly encounter he had with the first great enemy he faced in the Digital World, aka Piedmon, and his subordinate which was a Musyamon turned into Asuramon, along with their army of BlackGuilmon cronies. This particular adventure had been particularly momentous since not only did Faustein witness his former twin digimon partners, Taser the Kokuwamon and Lego the ShadowToyAgumon, perish at the hands of the aforementioned Asuramon, but also he ended up losing his right lower limb in the process and had then acquired a new one sometime after that adventure. The second was no less intriguing, for in this second adventure, Faustein had been recruited as part of a small expeditionary team which had been tasked with the infiltration and investigation of a certain mysterious city and everything, digimon or not, associated with it since it had cropped up seemingly out of nowhere and had allegedly been VERY suspicious to the locals, especially those of Rustport. Since then, once again, he had returned to his everyday routine which was his profession as a practicing physician-scientist and his ongoing, endless mad science research, but also to the occasional heeding of the summons sent by his maternal grandparents with regards to the business dealings, both major and minor, of the keiretsu owned by his parents, his grandparents, and of course, the clan. After being preoccupied relentlessly in all of these responsibilities thusly, Faustein had finally gotten a chance to enjoy some downtime, and he intended to take advantage of this period of respite to the fullest extent possible. Hmm, I wonder...what should I do with this free time? Perhaps another sojourn to and through the Digital World is in order. I have not yet fully explored the Western Flatlands, nor the Spears of Megiddo. With that in mind, he readied his usual military-grade tactical backpack and after affixing all his usual plethora of gadgets to his person in their assigned locations, he gave instructions to his combat maid team and his butler with regards to the security of his mansion as was the norm for them and then headed out to Shibuya Station since that was the connection point between the human world and the digital one. Upon arrival, he instructed his chauffer to head back to the mansion with his BMW and then headed in, with his destination being the old broken down subway station. Once he passed through to the other side, he checked to see if everything was quiet and then pointed the hand of his bionic left arm into the space directly ahead of him and spoke the usual command phrase in his usual rich, baritone, but melodious voice to manifest the digital portal which would shortcut him directly to wherever he wanted in the Digital World, only this time with a specific destination incorporated into it. "Digi-Port, open. Destination: Western Flatlands - Spears of Megiddo"With that, the Digi-Port was activated leading to the formation of a portal which Faustein then tugged on in order to open completely. Inside was what seemed like a black, fluid void and so, Faustein stepped inside and waited patiently as the proximal end of the portal closed in the human world and then walked through to the other end and upon reaching it, he tugged on the portal's rim again, which dropped him off at his desination, aka the Spears of Megiddo area in the Western Flatlands region of the Digital World. Little did he know that this research expedition would turn into quite the harrowing ordeal again for him before too long. OOC;WC: 610

Mandrake sat quietly in the cell he was placed in with Lothar. Since his friend hadn't woken up since he treated him, he looked at himself. He was quite a mess what with his hair undone and his clothes torn in several places. Otherwise he appeared to be lucky compared to Lothar. Looking at his friend, Mandrake said "Don't worry, old friend. I'll find a way to get us out of this." He didn't know if Lothar had heard him in his unconscious state. Gently placing a hand on Lothar's head he took notice of the presence of other digimon in the dungeon with him. With the number involved this made things more difficult. These were most likely the missing digimon and if that was the case he couldn't abandon them to save only himself and Lothar. No it seemed like he needed another plan. The Cyberdramon made things even more difficult to boot.

Faustein had arrived in the Spears of Megiddo region and had been conducting his research as per his plan when something truly strange had managed to catch his eye. In his peripheral visual field, he had noticed what seemed like a giant tsunami appearing, seemingly out of nowhere. This IS the Digital World, but still, a tsunami in the middle of an arid, volcanic region such as this...surely there is a reson for this otherwise illogical phenomenon...He had thought and so he had headed off to track down the area with the strange tsunami which had disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared in it. It took him a while but eventually, he ended up finding the location. However, to his surprise, there was nothing there which could have generated such an anomalous phenomenon. Naturally, this prompted Faustein to start conducting his investigation into this mystery as his insatiable curiosity for all things mysterious would not let him rest until he discovered the truth behind this event. My Spirit digimon has a battlefield analysis ability so perhaps it would be prudent to deploy it in order to facilitate my investigation into the matter. With that in mind, he spirit digivolved to " Doupplemon", but this time he did not engage in all the theatrics he did when this form first made its debut. Then, he used its " Support Protocol: Diagnoscope" ability to scan the area for anything unusual. After several minutes, the images began flooding into his mind A struggle, eh? I see now. There seems to be some object laying against the rock in that direction.Musing thus silently, he went and examined the tracks and other signs of a struggle and picked up the object which turned out to be a scarf, one that was somewhat damaged, presumably recently as he could judge from his analysis of its structure and the damage pattern. Then, he began following the tracks leading away from the area after having put the scarf away in the pocket of his lab coat. Soon, he found what looked to be a series of caves and the tracks, albeit faint, led further inside. So, he de-digivolved back to his human form and then, he followed them inside and eventually found some dungeons with various types of digimon in them. He looked about to make sure there was nothing coming immediately and turned to the largest one which contained in it a rather familiar face along with one that was not so familar, namely a Wizardmon which was somewhat injured but mostly alright and an Elecmon which seemed to be badly injured and even unconscious Well now, our roles have been reversed, I perceive. He said with a slight tilt of the head and with his trademark smug smirk on his thin, firm lips while dramatically stepping out of the shadows and into the dim spot of light in front of the dungeon. The light was just enough for the Wizardmon to discern his appearance which was of course just his usual appearance and attire. His voice was, as always, the rich baritone but hypnotically melodious one, although in this situation, it had been toned down greatly to more of a stage whisper OOC:WC: 530 Appearance:

It would seem things wouldn't remain quiet for long as Mandrake sensed another presence enter the dungeon from the shadows, a familiar presence that he was surprised to have sensed again even though the surprise didn't show on his face. When a certain white haired human emerged from the shadows, he spoke to Mandrake about their roles being reversed.
'Roles being reversed is only partially true.' Mandrake thought as his blue eyes met Stein's red ones. He then said "This is funny coming from a known troublemaker. Unlike from last time we met, my friend and I aren't behind bars because of robbery."
Mandrake sensed that trouble had crept back into the dungeon and he had only time to widen his eyes in shock before the clawed hand of Cyberdramon took hold of Stein's arm that had his digivice. Mandrake noticed that Stein was now carrying the digivice of a spirit wielder, a D-Tector. "What do we have here? It seems coming back to the dungeon to check on things wasn't without merit considering some of my less experienced guards have a habit of exaggerating. Yet, Blackguilmon are but rookies and youth tends to be a problem for them," Tugging lightly on Stein's bionic arm he then said "A scrawny little thing for a human, aren't you? I'll take what I can get when it comes to workers for this project though." Reaching his other hand he dug his claw in and surprisingly carefully removed Stein's digivice before sharply whistling and Strikedramon came into the dungeon after he was apparently waiting outside for orders. "Strikedramon, take this digivice while I get our new guest settled in for tomorrow he and the Wizardmon will be put to work."
Strikedramon nodded and left without a word with Stein's digivice. Then Cyberdramon used his free hand to unlock the cell Mandrake and Lothar occupied before shoving the mad scientist in and slamming the cell door shut before locking it again. "I hope you enjoy the company of your roomates, human, because all other rooms are full." Cyberdramon chuckled and left the dungeon after comparing the place to an inn.
"We have got to stop meeting like this." Mandrake said to Stein with a biting note of sarcasm. So they were to be used for what seemed to be slave labor.

Faustein had chuckled when he heard Mandrake's retort and had replied while smirking
"Robbery is SUCH an inelegant term, I prefer to call it "SCIENTIFIC SAMPLE ACQUISITION" instead. Besides, it was not as though they would have missed the miniscule amount that was taken by me."
He would have said more but then they were interrupted by the sight of a Cyberdramon which arrived on scene and promptly disabled Faustein by removing his digivice from his bionic left arm, without actually hurting him which was interesting. Then, as he watched, the Cyberdramon had called over another Dramon-type, this one being a Strikedramon and ordered it to take Faustein's digivice away while it proceeded to incarcerate Faustein in the same prison cell that Mandrake and his compatriot were in currently. Needless to say, since he did not have his digivice, Faustein did the only logical thing and let himself be detained without resistance. After that, both the dramon exited the dungeon, leaving Faustein to his own devices along with Mandrake and his compatriot Elecmon. As Faustein was just about to slip into his reverie for considering how to break out and retrieve his D-Tector, his thoughts were interrupted by Mandrake's words
"Hmm? Ah, here I was contemplating producing some Château Lafite as a toast in celebration of our HEARTWARMING reunion, but it would seem you are not in favor of the idea. Oh, woe is me! Maybe next time then."
He remarked in an overly dramatic tone along with one hand resting against his forehead and the other against his chest right above where his heart would be and then chuckled before falling silent and wondering how Mandrake would react like to his theatrical antics.

Mandrake couldn't help but roll his sapphire blue eyes at Stein's statement before he said "Considering what I said is true, robbery is hardly an inelegant definition of what you did when we shared a cell together. It doesn't matter if those bee digimon had more than enough honey."
It seemed as if they were doomed to be cellmates once again as Cyberdramon grabbed Stein, took his digivice, handed to his Strikedramon minion, and shoved the human in the cell with him. Must of been his lucky night.
When Stein went into dramatics, Mandrake let out a sigh before he said "Seeing as our gracious host intends to use us for slave labor for some unknown project, now is not the time for such dramatics."
"M-Mandrake." Lothar weakly croaked. It seemed his friend had regained consciousness. Mandrake turned his gaze to Lothar seeing a pair of brown eyes that were barely open but staring in the direction of his friend.
"I'm alright, old friend. Thanks to you." Mandrake replied gently.
"Where are we?" Lothar asked as he attempted but failed to lift his head.
"We are currently in custody of the one that attacked us. Now rest you need all your strength to recover." Mandrake said as he once again rested a hand on Lothar's head. Lothar closed his eyes and slowly settled back to sleep despite the pain he was in.

It had seemed that Mandrake's assessment of their previous encounter did not agree with Faustein's version of the same, so Faustein had shrugged and with the same smirk, replied
"Then, perhaps we must simply agree to disagree on this matter."
However, Mandrake had also criticized Faustein's devolution into dramatics that he had done a few moments earlier and here, Faustein's thin lips, or rather the right angle of his mouth twitched downwards briefly in a sort of half frown, but the next moment his face was back to its default impassive appearance. Then, he sighed and remarked
"You seem to be quite insipid for a Wizardmon that digivolved from an Impmon which are known to have a penchant for enjoying mischief, fun, and drama. However, perhaps you are right in this case. Oh well, maybe there will be time for such theatrics later."
He was about say more, but then the Elecmon friend of Mandrake's stirred, calling out his name, only to have Mandrake urge him to rest and preserve his strength for use in his recuperation instead. Unfortunately, Faustein was not the emotionally aware type, and he never was, and if it would be within his powers to do so, he would never succumb to such mechanisms. Consequently, even though there was probably a great deal of poignance in the scene unfolding between the two friends which were his current cellmates, he did not comprehend it in the slightest and therefore, he simply had a blank look on his visage instead and stayed silent for the time being, choosing to let the events of the situation unfold as they may according to whatever design their captors had for them.

Mandrake clenched his hands into fists and took a deep breathe before he said "Contrary to what you think, I do enjoy fun but now is not the time or place. In case you haven't noticed, we are at the mercy of Cyberdramon, who happens to be an ultimate level digimon. Cyberdramon attacked us sometime we came here looking for missing digimon and that dragon is the reason Lothar is in such a state. Lothar shielded me from Cyberdramon's attack with his own body. So why do you seem to be a Spirit Wielder now considering you were a Xros General when I last saw you? What happened to those digimon you called Taser and Lego?" Mandrake had a feeling the upcoming answers would be ones that he didn't like.
"All right all of you! Time to sleep! You have a long work day tomorrow!" Cyberdramon bellowed his voice loud enough to carry throughout the dungeon and easily be heard by everyone. Various whimpers of fear were heard all around in response to the bellow. Though hesitant to sleep, one thing Cyberdramon was right about was that he would need all his strength for tomorrow for he planned to spend as little time in Cyberdramon's clutches as possible but he didn't want to leave the other prisoners behind either. All he could do is bide his time for now. Exchanging a brief warning glare at Stein, he lay down next to Lothar and slowly went to sleep.

Faustein had heard Mandrake, aka the Impon turned Wizardmon, retort and insist that he did indeed enjoy fun and games, and then offer his reasoning for it which included the backstory to how Mandrake and his friend, which he now knew to the called Lothar, were captured in the first place. Faustein was also informed that the Cyberdramon which had captured them all was an Ultimate level digimon and was the cause of several digimon going missing in the recent past around the area
Ultimate level enemy, eh? Well, that is certainly a troublesome one. It looks as though we will have to play our cards rather carefully.
Then, in closing, Mandrake had asked Faustein about why he was a Spirit Wielder now whereas he was an Xros General in their past encounter. Faustein was not one of those that felt remorse at the destruction of his two digmon partners as it was merely an undeniable fact of his life now, one that he could do nothing about. So to him, grieving or having remorse over such affairs was pointless as was hiding the truth about them. Hence, he had replied without missing a beat in a perfectly even, albeit somber, somewhat flat tone while shrugging
"Well, that would be because both of them were destroyed in a recent encounter with an old enemy. That said, the Digital World must still have some use for my presence here due to some unfathomable reason which is presumably why it bestowed this new Spirit Wielder digivice with its contents upon me. Either that or those two units have not been completely terminated yet despite all appearances pointing to that notion."
Before either he or Mandrake could say more on the matter though, their captor Cyberdramon had issued orders in a loud voice, telling them to sleep since they had a long day of hard labor ahead of them the next day. So, just as Mandrake had done moments earlier, Faustein also decided to rest his body and mind, taking up a position on the bed which was across from that of Mandrake and Lothar. Only time would tell how their day was going to be, but he certainly did not plan to spend more time than was absolutely necessary in captivity.

Mandrake had heard the somberness in his tone and, after listening to what happened to Stein's previous partners, said "Perhaps this won't be the last you'll see of them. Unless a digimon's data is downloaded by another digimon, they tend to eventually get reborn. Or at least that's what happens usually."
The nights hours seemed to pass slowly as Mandrake periodically woke up to tend to Lothar's injuries. Lothar thankfully remained asleep throughout the night but as the sun rose the worry he had for his friend made him look like he had only just enough sleep to get by on. In other words, he looked awful but he could handle a fitful night of sleep and still function. The sound of Devidramon and Strikedramon banging on the various cell doors throughout the dungeon stirred Mandrake into full alertness causing the Wizardmon to sit up and glare at the captors outside the cell with his sapphire blue eyes. Though neither he or the guards said anything, the guards preceded to herd the prisoners out of their cells forcing them to march out of the dungeon. Thankfully they left Lothar alone which made Mandrake let out a sigh of relief. Then a flash of white caught his attention briefly but vanished as soon as it appeared. It was likely another prisoner and Mandrake would likely see the strange digimon again outside.
When they reached the outside various BlackGuilmon were in sight keeping the mostly rookie level slaves under control as they herded the prisoners into a line. Shortly after that, Cyberdramon appeared and said "All right to those of you new around here let me explain what we're here for. You have all been obtained to search for a digimental that has been detected in this general area. This one is rumored to be an ultimate level form judging by the power my boss said it had."
"If it is a digimental, as you say, you do know that it can only be wielded by the one destined to find it." Mandrake said though, in hindsight, it would probably of been wiser if he stayed silent.
That proved no truer when Cyberdramon suddenly lifted him off the ground by the back of his head, his clawed hands digging into his skin causing Mandrake to let out a hiss of pain. Cyberdramon then growled "Maybe you forgot the life of your friend depends on you behaving yourself. Or would you rather I march into that dungeon and eliminate him right now." As a look of fear entered Mandrake's eyes, Cyberdramon continued "I didn't think so." With that he dropped Mandrake onto the ground the illusionist landing unceremoniously on his posterior. Mandrake remained where he was silently stewing in anger while Cyberdramon seemingly ignored Mandrake as he continued "The one to find the digimental will tell one of the overseers immediately. If I find any of you trying to touch it I won't be as gentle as I was with the Wizardmon here. Do you understand?" The other slaves muttered their understanding in fear.

Faustein had been sleeping lightly for the sake of maintaining a state of readiness for action whenever the chance presented itself to make his gambit for freedom and so when dawn broke and the slaver Cyberdramon's cronies, aka Strikedramon and Devidramon, came knocking on the various prison cells to wake up the prisoners, he was ready to move out. However, before that, he had seen Mandrake glaring at them, so he knew the time was not right just yet. So, for now, he decided he would play along and thus, he followed Mandrake out of the cell and together with the rest of the slave digimon, he headed out of his prison and out into the clearing where they were all beginning to assemble slowly. Just before he entered though, he saw Mandrake looking intently at something, but unfortunately it seemed that whatever had caught his eye had vanished before either of them could get a clear view of it.
Well, that was fairly intriguing, but for now, this matter at hand takes precedence, perhaps. The truth will undoubtedly reveal itself to us by the end of the situation.
Musing thus silently, he turned his attention to the Cyberdramon which was explaining exactly why they all had been gathered in that particular location. Occasionally, he swept his Google Glasses obscured crimson red eyes around with completely blank, impassive and inscrutable expression on his face and took silent note of the number of BlackGuilmon present and other salient details of the terrain, possible exit routes out of the area and so on
BlackGuilmon again, eh? How amusing indeed. So, the target of this massive search and retrieval army is a single Digimental? Furthermore, it is allegedly an Ultimate level variant no less. This should be intriguing, indeed.
He pondered the issue still further silently while taking in all the environmental data from his surroundings, but then saw Mandrake speak out and get punished for it. Still, his expression did not change, not even when the Cyberdramon started to threaten the rest of the slaves with an even more sordid fate that what it had dealt to Mandrake mere moments earlier.
This Cyberdramon may be more intelligent than that Musyamon from before, but still even this one has no knowledge of the nuances of intimidation. At best, it is nothing more than a neanderthal swinging a wooden club around. What a pity...
As such disparaging thoughts meandered through his mind, Faustein was not fazed by the threat of violence even to the slightest since he had hovered between life and death so often till now and consequently, he was able to maintain a perfectly nonplussed expression as he observed and made detailed mental notes about everything around him even while the rest of the digimon slaves were looking so very terrified of the Cyberdramon and the rest of its crew. Thus, he waited for the events to unfold as they may before him, patiently biding his time and continued to remain vigilant for the right opportunity to come seeking him, Mandrake, and Mandrake's friend, Lothar out.

Mandrake slowly got to his feet as the slaves were beginning to dig for the digimental. Reaching to the back of his aching head he felt moisture and pulled his gloved hand away revealing blood. He sensed someone approaching him from the side and tensed before whirling around spotting an Angemon walking up to him non aggressively "I see you have been injured by Cyberdramon. I can help." The Angemon said with a naturally calming tone of voice.
"Sorry if I come off as jumpy but considering what my friend and I went through yesterday, it's understandable." Mandrake said as the Angemon nodded in understanding. Then Mandrake got a good look at the Angemon and in a shocked tone gasped "By the Sovereigns!" The Angemon had a crack in his mask but that paled in comparison to what appeared to be all six of his wings broken. They had been splinted but it was still a horrifying sight to look at.
"That was done by Cyberdramon when I managed to fly my little brother out of here and he caught me when I got back to smuggle out some other slaves. He then preceded to break my wings after I refused to tell him where my brother was." Angemon said sadly as his hand began to glow with a calming and gentle energy as he moved his hand to the back of Mandrake's head. In a short time the pain Mandrake felt faded and the bleeding stopped.
"Thanks but why didn't you use such a gift to heal yourself?" Mandrake asked.
"Unfortunately I only can heal others with my ability." Angemon said.
"Get to work you two. This isn't a social circle!" Cyberdramon bellowed.
The two of them moved toward some rocks to begin digging after glaring at their captor.

Faustein had watched as Mandrake was accosted by an Angemon with broken but splinted wings and had seen how even though initially the meeting had been tense due to Mandrake's wariness towards his surroundings, the situation and conversation between them had become much more relaxed and had turned to the topic of healing Mandrake's injuries and the history behind the Angemon's wings.
So this Cyberdramon is fast enough and possesses enough leaping power to catch an Angemon in flight eh? Quite impressive, maybe there is a way to convince him to become my guinea pig...
Faustein thought silently while observing the two until the Cyberdramon in question came and interrupted by forcing them back to work, so he followed suit and got back to work digging for the Digi-Mental that their captors were looking for, wondering what sort of Ultimate form this one would give whichever digimon was destined for and compatible with it. It was still not quite time yet for the rebellion to commence and the escape attempts to be made, so for now, Faustein continued to bide his time and comply with his captor's demands as he played the part of the obedient prisoner.

As they dug, though the process would have been much simpler with tools, it seemed that they seemed to be getting nowhere. That is, until Mandrake spotted something that resembled the lightning bolt shaped horn of a Raidramon. Curious, he dug at a methodical pace to avoid attracting attention from the guards or even Cyberdramon himself. Soon what appeared to be a blue digimental with lightning bolts decorating its surface became visible. On the sides of the digimental there was a design that resembled the folded wings of a bird. The only thing he recognized on top the egg was the Raidramon like horn. Though he didn't touch the digimental himself he muttered "Curious. A thunder element digimon of some kind perhaps. Now who is the one it was meant for?"
The digimental seemed to pulse quietly before his eyes while emitting a soft glow. Fortunately the glow was obstructed from the guard's and Cyberdramon's view by Mandrake's body. Good thing too, since Mandrake seemed to be ignoring Cyberdramon's orders as he reached out to touch the digimental. It was as if he couldn't help himself but he didn't feel alarmed. Resting a gloved hand that wasn't stained by blood from his previously, but no longer existing, head wound he was surprised when the digimental responded by pulsing more vigorously. Subtly lifting it up and watching it merge with his body, he quickly it became obvious it was meant for him but still it was no time to start trouble. Unless?
"Angemon, do you know where everyone's confiscated things are stored?" Mandrake asked. It seemed Angemon had seen everything involving the digimental and Mandrake's voice had shaken him out of his stupor.
"Yes, I know where those things are." Angemon said indicating a shed far across from them before he continued "Unfortunately no one has gotten close in their attempts to sneak to it."
A mischievous sparkle appeared in Mandrake's blue eyes as he said "I have a little trick in my repertoire that will allow me to get not only close but inside as well. Clouded Darkness!" With a wave of his hand, Mandrake vanished from sight. "If any of our charming hosts ask questions surely you and Stein can come up with something to keep them distracted."
With no more spoken words the cunning Wizardmon made his way swiftly but carefully to the shed in question. When he got there he saw it was locked with a simple padlock. His telekinesis made getting it open a simple matter and he entered the shed closing it behind him. Looking around it seemed not many things had been confiscated. Not surprising considering not many digimon carried much to begin with never mind weapons. Soon he spotted his staff sitting next to a digivice. Lifting up the digivice, he hid it inside his clothes before retrieving his staff. His staff being magical became invisible with him. Soon he left the shed locking up before he left and made his way back to Stein and Angemon. With luck, if he got back fast enough, no one would have been the wiser.
Luckily that seemed to be the case as Mandrake became visible once he made it back to Stein and Angemon. Kneeling down he began to bury his staff at the ground near the rocks so it would be ready. Then he stood up and turned to Stein, held out the human's digivice in his palm, and said "You might want to hide this somewhere on your person, preferably somewhere that isn't easily seen. It would be good for you to be ready when the time comes."
