Faustein had seen Mandrake find the Digimental and then fuse with it and smirked as he realized that the tide was beginning to turn in their favor
Interesting, so perhaps our escape attempt will be facilitated to some degree now.
Musing thus silently, he had returned to his work digging methodically, but had positioned himself in such a way as to further obscure the Cyberdramon's view of Mandrake to aid in the surreptitous recovery of the Digimental. It had not taken very long as soon, as Faustein watched, Mandrake had returned back to the group consisting of the Angemon with the broken wings and Faustein who was nearby. Then, the topic of conversation had moved to that of the location of the confiscated items and soon, Faustein had learened that they were stored in some shed several paces away from the mining site. So, he had been about to suggest a plan of action, but it seemed that Mandrake had already devised one, and so, for now anyway, he remained silent and apparently diligent at his work in mining while letting Mandrake handle the retrieval of the items.
Perhaps there is a way to convince the other slaves to work with us to aid the entire group's escape...
With that in mind, while Mandrake had gone, Faustein had managed to somehow sidle up to some of the slave digimon working nearby and while ensuring that he was not found out, set up a communications network among them with the instructions to instigate a mass, chaotic rebellion against their captors when the agreed upon signal was given to them. Thankfully, since he had his "Analog Jammer" device active at full power this time. neither the BlackGuilmon nor their superiors, the Strikedramon, Devidramon, and Cyberdramon had discovered or noticed his actions. Then, he had returned to his original position and before long, Mandrake had returned with Faustein's D-Tector digivice in his possession which Faustein had received from him with the instructions to be ready and to keep it hidden until the appropriate time
Very well then. I have set up a network among the rest of the slaves while you were gone to lead them in an escape gambit when you have finished setting up everything else. So, you simply have to give them some sort of signal to initiate this domino effect.
He remarked to Mandrake in hushed tones so that no unwanted eavesdroppers may notice their actions and then fell silent, waiting for Mandrake's response and/or reaction. While he waited, his Sprite spirit appeared in his mindscape and engaged him in conversation
The situation looks precarious indeed, Commander. That said, merely say the word and as we have done before, we shall initiate the spirit evolution and you shall be granted my powers to use as you see fit.
To that Faustein, or rather his mental persona, responded while nodding
Indeed, it will not be too long before the need for your powers arises, so till then, it would be prudent to bide our time and wait patiently.

"You set up a network amongst the slaves? Not bad for one who is not telepathic. Makes me kind of wonder how you were able to pull that off when it seems one can't poop with out an audience. It seems these guards are relatively competent." Mandrake said. He knew that though he had the digimental, that was only half the battle. With Lothar being injured it was up to him and he doubted that Cyberdramon would let Angemon heal his injured friend.
As for the foul creature known as Cyberdramon, he was approaching Mandrake causing the magician to turn and look at the incoming ultimate digimon. The smile on his face made Mandrake shudder but it seemed to go unnoticed by Cyberdramon as he came up alongside Mandrake causing Angemon to back off and stand next to Faust. "Guess what little Wizardmon." he said with amusement in his voice.
"I guess I would be going out on a limb if your news was that you were letting everyone go." Mandrake said with a hint of anger.
Either the Cyberdramon didn't notice his tone of voice or didn't care as he said "I was talking with my boss and he is willing to purchase you and the human. As for your friend, he will stay in my care since his strength will be valuable once he heals."
"I know him and he won't take kindly to being used as a slave. He would rather die fighting you." Mandrake glared defiantly back at Cyberdramon with his blue eyes.
"I have ways of keeping even the most defiant slaves in check and I find it amusing that a digimon that can only digivolve as far as the champion level like your friend would be opposing me. As for you, I find your open defiance insulting, Wizardmon." Cyberdramon's started amused and was snarling by the final sentence.
Mandrake leapt back from the clawed hand reaching for him and, using his telekinesis, pulled his staff out of the ground where he buried it causing it to fly to his hand. "Your quest for the digimental is over since it has merged with me." Tightening his grip on his staff, Mandrake continued "And I will not be pushed around anymore. Digi Armor Energize!"
A bright light enveloped Mandrake and he rose into the air with electricity crackling around him. "Wizardmon armor digivolve to Thunderbirdmon!" The light dissipated and a magnificent bird in blue armor with gold lightning bolts and gold feather tips. Sparks danced from Mandrake's wings as he turned blue eyes toward Cyberdramon in an angry gaze.

"How did this apparent miracle come to pass, you ask? Well, you are not the only one with magic at their disposal. There is a certain brand of unique magic in my repertoire as well. However, as we all know, a good magician never truly reveals his or her secrets so for now this shall have to remain a mystery"
Faustein had remarked when Mandrake expressed his surprise at the fact that Faustein had somehow succeeded in setting up the communication network among the slaves while the wizard digimon had been away to collect his staff and Faustein's D-Tector. He would have said more, but then the Cyberdramon came over and started to talk about how it was going to sell both Faustein and Mandrake as well as his friend Lothar to a certain customer. This then led to a heated argument between Mandrake and the Cyberdramon at the end of which Mandrake revealed his newfound power of Armor Evolution. This of course, attracted the attention of everyone of the captors including Cyberdramon which had front row seats for the viewing.
Now is the time...First though...
Musing silently thus, he used the distraction of their captors to his advantage and swiftly moved himself to where he was standing behind the Angemon with the broken but splinted wings.
Listen closely and do NOT show any reaction to my words on your visage, but merely whisper your responses henceforth. My D-Tector can heal your injuries enough to allow you to assist in the impending battle and in the emancipation of all of these slaves from our captors. Your task is to simply allow me to heal you and then assist us in our escape attempt and gambit for freedom. Furthermore, even though you will be healed to full health, do NOT spring into action immediately, but rather feign injury to avoid notice by our captors of your healed condition. Do you understand the task at hand enough for us to have an accord?"
He asked the Angemon in a subdued tone just loud enough for it to hear and maybe Mandrake as well so as to avoid giving away his location to the enemy, and then activated the Clinic Program on his D-Tector after pressing the tip of the D-Tector against the Angemon's back. In response, the D-Tector began to heal the Angemon's injuries and especially its wings and in the interim, Faustein gave the signal to the rest of the slave digimon which then proceeded to raise a mighty uproar and charged at their overseers the BlackGuilmon in one simultaneous, multi-pronged onslaught, throwing the entire camp into utter chaos all around. Needless to say, as the BlackGuilmon had been mesmerized by the sight of Mandrake's Armor Digivolution and also due to the blinding effect of the light from said Digivolution, they were quite ill-prepared for the surprise rebellion by the slaves which had formerly been so cowed and reluctant to fight back against their oppression.

Amusement flashed in Mandrake's eyes at Stein's answer to how he set up a network among the slaves leading Mandrake to say "Fair enough. All that matters is we all escape."
While his armor digivolution to Thunderbirdmon created quite a show, in hindsight, it might not have been very well timed but Mandrake had been driven partially by anger so he didn't have time to think about the potential implications. If he was calmer he would have noticed Cyberdramon's subtle nod to Devidramon as the ultimate flew up to meet Mandrake in mid air. Devidramon slunk off in the meantime.
With Angemon, Stein had offered to use his Clinic Program to heal him. He whispered to Stein "Don't worry, I don't plan on having the escape plan fall apart." As his wings was healed the Angemon let out a sigh of relief and, even though he was eager to fly again, he knew he had to wait.
As for the other slaves, though still understandably frightened of Cyberdramon, they had managed to pitch the camp into chaos with the BlackGuilmon and Strikedramon in the center of it all. With Cyberdramon and Mandrake the two stared each other down before Cyberdramon said "Don't think that your little uprising will solve anything. In your recklessness you've forgotten I still have the upper hand."
The sound of thunder crackled as lightining gracefully danced from his wings as Mandrake replied "Last I heard an armor evolution is only slightly weaker than the standard digivolution and I assure you that I have abilities that make up for the difference in strength."
"I wasn't talking about mere combat abilities. In your anger you have forgotten one important thing." Cyberdramon said with a cruel smile as he snapped his clawed fingers. Mandrake's look of anger was replaced by fear as Devidramon flew up alongside Cyberdramon holding his injured friend roughly in one of his clawed hands. The muscular Elecmon hung like a limp rag barely conscious in Devidramon's grip. "So what will it be? I'd hate to waste such a strong looking potential worker but if you don't stand down right now, I'll have Devidramon finish him off."

Faustein frowned briefly as he saw the Cyberdramon have his cronie the Devidramon bring out Lothar, who was the Elecmon friend of Mandrake.
Well now, this complicates things to some degree and necessitates further action from our side.
However, the situation was not totally lost as he did still have a few cards in his hand that he could play if need be, but for now, even though they had somewhat of a numerical advantage over their enemies, their enemies held the advantage in sheer power. Therefore, he decided that the most prudent thing to do for now at least is bide his time and wait for the most opportune moment to make his move. For something like this, he had left the receiver of his Human-Digimon Comm device with two Champion level digimon he had met and conferred with in order to organize the slave rebellion earlier. So, for now, he simply watched Mandrake to see how he would react if at all, that is presuming of course that his current fear did not overwhelm his usual demeanor.
Be ready to move when the signal is given, you two, but do not make it too obvious.
He said in a barely audible tactical whisper to the two Champions to alert them to stand at the ready, though of course not in an conspicuous way. The two made themselves ready for the upcoming role they had to play in battle to ensue and then began to wait for his signal
Perhaps the DemiDevimon card employed first followed by Wild Growth as a two-fold distraction would serve us best as an opening move to resolve this situation.
He mused silently and then asked the Angemon about his capabilities again in that same tactical whisper from before
"So, now that you are healed, what are your capabilities exactly? Besides those of the usual Angemon I mean."
Then, he fell silent while listening intently and observing the situation to ensure he did not miss anything of importance.

This was bad. Lothar was now at the mercy of Cyberdramon and Mandrake didn't have any idea on how to safely separate his friend from Cyberdramon's minion Devidramon. Even if he surrendered there was no guarantee Cyberdramon wouldn't have Lothar killed anyway even though the brute had used Mandrake's friendship to effectively restrain him yesterday.
"With all due respect, Cyberdramon, if I surrender now how would I know you would not kill him anyway?" Mandrake asked. The question itself seemed to visibly hurt as Mandrake seemed to slump somewhat while in mid air.
"You have no choice if you want his life spared." Cyberdramon snarled as he turned to glance at Devidramon while keeping one eye on Mandrake.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Angemon looked at Stein and said "Other than my natural gift for healing, I am a normal Angemon." Angemon glanced at the direction of Cyberdramon and Devidramon seeing a winged figure about as big as himself approaching in the distance. Something in him told him not to be worried since this digimon felt familiar somehow. 'Could it be?' he thought as a Devimon became visible as he zipped into view behind Devidramon.
Mandrake saw the Devimon but gave away nothing to indicate he did. 'Perhaps this new digimon could provide the distraction needed.' Mandrake thought. Yet, it seemed a distraction wasn't necessary as the Devimon pulled a reckless but effective maneuver as the unknown Devimon came in behind Devidramon and punched the dragon hard in the ribs while catching Lothar carefully with his other clawed hand. Then with speed that could rival an Angemon he headed for the ground landing near Stein and Angemon.
"Hey, bro, look at me. Not only did I digivolve but I saved this Elecmon from getting the proverbial axe." Devimon said with a cocky smirk. Though Angemon was annoyed his kid brother had pulled off something so reckless he decided to ignore it for now.
Meanwhile, Mandrake was glaring at Cyberdramon with the magical sparks on his wings more noticeable as he said "It seems you no longer have a hostage to use against me, Cyberdramon. Let's see how you handle things without resorting to cowardly tricks to manipulate others."

Faustein had watched as Mandrake questioned the Cyberdramon's statement about the possibility of sparing Lothar's life upon his surrender, and had been trying to devise the next few steps to his plan which would be guiding them in their escape from their captors. Meanwhile, the Angemon had informed him that the only truly unique thing about him was his innate healing ability.
That will be useful, indeed. You can be the medic for our group then, instead of participating in the main combat as you have just been healed not too long ago.
He would have said more, but then something even he did not foresee occurred wherein a Devimon came swooping into the mining camp, seemingly out of nowhere and swiftly rescued Lothar from the Devidramon's clutches and brought him back towards Faustein and Angemon after which he bragged about the fact that he had not only evolved, but also saved the day.
"That was executed quite effectively. You will be a valuable ally to our side, and so, while your older brother and I set about healing this Elecmon, your task shall be to be our bodyguard. So what say you? Do you accept?"
Faustein asked of the Devimon, wondering if he would cooperate with them and protect them from any possible enemy attacks while his older brother the Angemon assisted Faustein in healing Lothar. After that, as Faustein looked on, Mandrake seemed to be readying himself for the impending fight against the Cyberdramon now that he was free to act at will again.
"Now is your chance!! Leave the care of Lothar to me and engage that Cyberdramon with all your might!! If we do not neutralize it successfully, then all of our efforts will come to naught"
Faustein seized the chance of the distraction caused to try to spur Mandrake into action to hold off the Cyberdramon and hopefully defeat it. At that moment, the Strikedramon which had heard Faustein's words started running towards where the standoff was occurring, but Faustein preempted that by signaling one of the two Champion level slaves to intercept it and draw it into combat. In response, that Champion level slave headed off the Strikedramon and thus prevented it from interfering with Mandrake if he should choose to attack the Cyberdramon. Simultaneously, Faustein also instructed the other Champion level slave to rush the now slightly weaker Devidramon and literally drag it away from the Cyberdramon's side after which it proceeded to engage the Devidramon in combat, thus neutralizing its capacity for interruption as well, at least for now.
The rooks, the knights, the bishops, and the queen have been drawn away from the king, and the pawns have all been engaged, so now the board has been set up for the checkmate.
Faustein mused silently as he set his plan into motion and then waited for Mandrake to make his move, whatever that may be and while he waited, he engaged the "Clinic Program" on his D-Tector/D-Synchro digivice
"Activate Clinic Program now."
In response, his D-Tector/D-Synchro infused healing data into Lothar's body which began to heal his injuries slowly but steadily and surely. However, time was of the essence, so Faustein urged the Angemon to assist him in healing Lothar's injuries as this added infusion of healing data would expedite the process and take some of the strain off from his D-Tector/D-Synchro. Now it remained to be seen if Mandrake would actually heed his call to action and take on the Cyberdramon to defeat it.

To say the arrival and sudden attack of Devimon was surprising was an understatement. Not only had Devimon punched the Devidramon in the ribs but he had flown off with Lothar landing near Angemon and Stein. It seemed this Devimon was the younger brother that Angemon mentioned. While it was true that sometimes newly evolved digimon could be reckless, Mandrake hoped that wouldn't be the case this time.
Cyberdramon was not happy and that was made all the clearer by his growling before he bellowed at the Devidramon "Go down there and help Strikedramon subdue the other slaves. I'll deal with Thunderbirdmon and he'll pay for defying me." As Devidramon flew down following orders, Cyberdramon looked at Mandrake and said "When I'm done with punishing you for your defiance, you'll wish you were dead."
"You are barely what one would consider an intelligent thug, Cyberdramon. The only thing you have going for you is power. No wonder you use it to enslave mostly rookies because a large number of champions wouldn't be threatened by you." Mandrake said much calmer now that Lothar was in a slightly safer position than he was.
"Who do you think you are to talk to me that way!" Cyberdramon roared as he prepared to launch himself at Mandrake.
A mischievous sparkle briefly appeared in Mandrake's eyes before he said "I am Mandrake, magician extraordinaire. So here's a little trick for you, Cyberdramon. Magical Game!" A bright light engulfed Mandrake causing Cyberdramon to stop and shield his face and when the light stopped he was surrounded by multiple Thunderbirdmon. "Now, Cyberdramon, which of us is real and which is the illusion? Let's see if you are at least smart enough to puzzle that out." Mandrake, however, had used the bright light as he created his illusion to fly up and out of sight of Cyberdramon. He was now waiting high above waiting for the right moment to strike.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Devimon was grappling with Strikedramon while the rookies were swarming Devidramon as he landed. The BlackGuilmon guards had their claws full with the remaining slaves. Angemon walked over to Lothar with his hand glowing as he gently rested it on the muscular Elecmon's head. His healing ability was making Stein's efforts faster but it would still take awhile with Lothar's injuries.

Faustein had taken several moments to make detailed mental notes of everything occurring on the battlefield and all the ally-enemy engagements therein So far, we have a stalemate on our hands, so it is essential that we get Lothar rebooted so that we can add to the firepower capacity on our side.He mused silently before turning his attention back to the injured Lothar to analyze his healing process in order to calculate the ETA on its completion. It seemed to him that even with his D-Synchro's " Clinic Program" working in conjunction with the Angemon's healing, it would be taking a while to reach the finish line. Perhaps a small boost is in order. Only time will tell how successful it will be in the end, though. He paused his work for a few moments, let out a sigh and took a deep breath after which he muttered "Initiating Transformation Protocol."He said in a calm, even voice and then went through the associated motions to activate the process At the end of this motion sequence, the unmistakable sight of a fractal Digi-Code ring encircled his left hand and Faustein slashed his D-Tector/D-Synchro against it, thus connecting the digivice to the code ring which then transformed into a helix which surrounded his entire body. Then, he spoke the usual command phrase to activate the spirit digivolution process, albeit his voice was far less emotionally charged than most others and far more hollow and and robotic/cyborg-esque overtones mixing fluently with his usual baritone and melodious voice "Execute: Sprite Spirit Evolution."No sooner than he had finished speaking the command phrase, his whole body was converted to a wireframe and started to float in midair in an upright, spread-eagle pose. Then, what seemed to be the layered morphological templates of a medicinal tablet dispenser with two upper limbs, two lower limbs and dispensing slots for eyes and mouth were overlaid onto his currently wireframe form. After that, a bright light briefly enveloped him for a few moments and once it faded, his human form was nowhere to be seen, and in its place his Sprite spirit digimon form landed on the ground while declaring its identity "Doupplemon."As before, this last part was also heard to be far less emotionally charged than most others and far more hollow and and robotic/cyborg-esque overtones mixing fluently with his usual baritone and melodious voice. His eyes and mouth were emitting an ominous glow, though due to his Sprite digimon form's overall height, even with the large container of pills and tablets attached to his head, was only about 3 ft. in height, making it the dwarf among all the others, both ally and enemy alike, who were present in the vicinity. This form had a healing ability which could boost the overall healing power being applied to Lothar's injuries and that was the reason for his choice of spirit evolving even though it put his life at risk in the current situation. Of course, it was not out of some humanitarian urge, but simply a logical one to try to increase their side's fighting prowess if at all possible. "Combat Protocol α: Vital Supplements"With that, the dispensing slot on his Sprite Spirit form opened and then a pure white pill tablet was ejected from it. This tablet fell on Lothar's body and then broke apart into a cloud of glowing white powder which was absorbed into Lothar's body subsequently. Thus, his injuries started to close up even faster than before, and it would not be long before his recuperative process was complete. Well, that is as long as they were not interrupted by any unforeseen shifts in the current tide of battle, anyway. It seemed like his plan had things under relative control, so for now, he focused his efforts onto the task at hand, Lothar's restoration. It seemed Stein spirit evolving into Doupplemon and utilizing a healing technique did in fact speed things up. Combined with Angemon's ability to heal Lothar was gradually recovering and he seemed to regain consciousness as well but as his brown eyes opened his vision was blurry. All he could make out was a blurry white figure and something grey near him. Turning his head he caught multiple blue and gold images in the air before he closed his eyes. Looking at all these blurry images was giving him a headache but his ears wiggled as it seemed he was keeping track of what was going on around him.
In the air Cyberdramon glared at the illusions surrounding him though he didn't know all of them were fake. "You coward! How is petty trickery a way to fight! When I get my claws on you..." he roared as he began swiping at the illusions surrounding him causing them to fade one by one until they were all gone. "What is this? Where are you?" Cyberdramon panted as he spun around looking for Mandrake.
'Now's the time to make my move.' Mandrake thought as he dove down talons out stretched. The duo crashed to the ground struggling for an advantage. Cyberdramon had a tight grip on Mandrake's legs sinking his claws in while keeping Mandrake's talons away from his face. Mandrake grunted in pain but refused to back down. His wings sparked as he flapped them while taking to the sky. Cyberdramon sat up and followed but that turned out not to be the best idea for the dragon as Mandrake said "Thunder Storm!" Mandrake's wings created a thunderstorm that he dropped upon Cyberdramon.
Despite Cyberdramon's roar of pain it seemed that he wasn't done yet as he glared at Mandrake. "Nice try but I won't be so easily beaten."

It had been a while since Faustein had digivolved and with the now healed Angemon assisting him and with the abilities inherent to his own spirit evolved form as well as his D-Synchro's "Clinic Program", he was finally able to not only get Mandrake's friend, Lothar the Elecmon back to consciousness a short while back, but also managed to completely heal all of his rather grave injuries. Alright, so now this unit can enter the fray, though with some degree of caution as he has just now been healed to full health...which in turn means...
Faustein mused silently while looking about with his Sprite digimon form's slit like eyes and taking in all the details ehile also analyzing them with his battlefield analysis ability, once again of his Sprite digimon form. The Devimon was holding off the Strikedramon while the Devidramon was being swarmed by the rebelling slaves and Mandrake seemed to be holding his own against the big boss Cyberdramon for the time being at least. So, all the attention was drawn away from him, the Angemon, and Lothar at the moment. Welcome back to the land of the living. Your injuries should be all done away with now, so how do you feel? Just nod once if you are indeed well enough to join the fray or twice if you still need your rest. Also, it would be prudent to not react visibly to my words or rush into battle considering the current situation. The success of this operation depends on your compliance, so keep that in mind. Faustein whispered just loud enough that Lothar could hear him and hopefully understand him as well, but given how disoriented he had seen Lothar when he first regained consciousness, Faustejn did not hold on to too much expectation of a total success. With that, he fell silent and waited to see what would happen next, hoping of course, that Lothar would indeed heed his words. Mandrake was having a rough time while he was trying to claw Cyberdramon's face since the cybernetic dragon proved more formidable in strength than he initially thought. As Cyberdramon's claws dug deeper into his legs Mandrake let out his of pain before he swung at Cyberdramon with his wings in an effort to make the dragon release his grip but it only loosened slightly.
Lothar, meanwhile, groaned as he turned his gaze toward Stein/Doupplemon and locked his brown eyes on the unknown digimon. Somehow his injuries were now gone and the muscular Elecmon had a feeling this stranger was at least part of the reason for it. Hearing the stranger's words Lothar nodded once indicating he was able to join the fray as he slowly sat up and looked around for Mandrake not seeing the Wizardmon anywhere. Looking back at Stein/Doupplemon he whispered "Where is Mandrake? I don't see any sign of him. Not even his scarf."

Faustein nodded back to Lothar in acknowledgement of his affirmation as to whether he could join the fray or not so soon after recuperation. Then, he addressed Lothar's question about Mandrake Well, that Thunderbirdmon you see is your friend's armor evolution form. He is currently engaged in combat with the leader of the group that captured you two in an effort to save not only you both, but also everyone of the slaves you see around you. That includes myself, of course. He answered Lothar in that low tone so as to not attract attention to them. Then he paused briefly to ensure Lothar was following his narrative and then continued By the way, for convenience sake, you may call me as Stein. This Angemon next to me and that Devimon whom you see fighting with the Strikedramon over there is his younger brother. He is the one who rescued you from that Cyberdramon's clutches. Then, you were healed by Angemon and myself back to your current full health state. Faustein went on to explain in that same low tone with a neutral expression on his face as was his usual habit. Then, he finished his narrative by advising Lothar Now then, the intuitive thing to do for you would be, of course, to rush to your friend's aid right now. However, you are only now healed and your considerable physical might as well as your abilities are needed elsewhere at the moment. So, my advice to you, especially if your ultimate objective is to assist your friend, Mandrake, is to not heed your instinctual urge to rush to his side and instead to help me and the rest of our allies to eliminate or incapacitate the Strikedramon and the Devidramon so as to prevent them from interfering in the final confrontation against their leader, the Cyberdramon. If you comprehended all. of that narrative and are willing to comply, then nod once, if you have any objections then nod twice, or voice them, according to your preference. With that said, Faustein fell silent and waited to see what would happen next and as he did, he could feel his ability's recharge almost complete and that he would be able to use it again soon. Lothar gazed at the Thunderbirdmon in confusion as he rose to his feet. Last time Mandrake armor digivolved he was still wearing his scarf and Lothar whispered "If that is Mandrake then where is his scarf?" Meanwhile Devimon had managed to separate Strikedramon from Devidramon making Lothar smile. While not at full strength he felt as if he was strong enough to digivolve and he locked his gaze on Devidramon. As much as he wanted to help Mandrake he knew this Stein was right. He knew enough about tactics to know better than to charge blindly though it wasn't easy to resist the urge to charge Cyberdramon. Lothar glowed softly with the light of digivolution before he said "Elecmon digivolve to Leomon."
Now back in his champion form Lothar stealthily made his way to the now distracted Devidramon coming up behind the demon dragon before silently snagging him by the tail and giving a good solid tug. To sat Devidramon was surprised was an understatement as he roared before what looked like an impressive tug of war match began as Devidramon tried to fly to no avail. Strikedramon and Cyberdramon alike were to occupied to assist Devidramon in shaking Lothar off.

Faustein smirked as he witnessed Lothar acquiesce to his suggestion and start going along with his plan to first subdue the Devidramon before doing anything else. Thanks to the combination of the rebellious prisoners swarming him and since Lothar the Elecmon now turned Leomon was able to catch him off guard successfully, the unfortunate Devidramon was essentially trapped for the time being. A good start to be sure...but there is no telling when the situation and our collective fortunes will turn against us, therefore...Faustein mused briefly in his usual silent way before beckoning the Angemon to listen to the next part of the plan, namely the neutralization of the aforementioned Devidramon Now that comrade Lothar has a hold on that Devidramon, do you think you will be able to use your Angemon species abilities to maybe incapacitate him? I realize this might be a tad difficult considering your disposition as a pacifist, but your particular repertoire is in fact the only one that can get this part of the overall plan executed with optimal efficiency. Here, Faustein paused briefly to see whether the Angemon was able to follow along with the strategy being proposed to him and once he was sure, he then continued My present form has a weakening ability that can be used to debilitate the Devidramon, albeit only a little due to the difference between its Champion stage and my current Rookie stage. In a few more minutes, my strengthening ability should also be rebooted so you can have it applied to you for some additional reinforcement. Finally, your nature as a Holy-species versus Devidramon which is a Dark species would mean that we have a decent chance of neutralizing it in the first strike or two. So, what do you say? Any objections or concerns on your mind about this imminent tussle? He asked the Angemon and then fell silent so he could respond and while waiting, Faustein went over the next few phases of the overall escape plan to look for any weaknesses and possible contingencies that may occur later on.
