“So, we’ve got three eggs so far, but none of them have hatched, we have zero clues of either your pasts, and… is what we’re doing really helping anyone? I’m not so sure of it myself anymore...”
Currently, Magnus was donning flip-flops and swimming trunks as he stared at the sea. Akemi and Katherine were each at one side of her, and while there wasn’t any reason for them to don their holosuits, Katherine had insisted she wanted to try the new swimsuits her sister and general had bought on their last shopping trip; a pair of really cute dark purple bikinis that, for some reason, made Akemi’s face look as red as a tomato. One had to wonder why, honestly.
“Wish I could answer you as well, honestly.” The disguised Shakomon said. “I really want to know what’s the whole deal with the two of us and all of those unborn digimons, but thus far we’ve only gotten more questions than answers. I mean, who the heck would hide a digiegg in a mausoleum? That just sounds wrong.”
Akemi nodded somewhat meekly. “B-but… what else can we really do? If there’s anything to discover, th-then this is the best shot we’ve got.”
In her timidness, Akemi was being the group’s voice of reason. Quite the interesting development. “Be-besides, we’ve done a good job thus far, r-right? The worst thing that happened to us thus far was A-Airi stealing your wallet.”
“You’re right, I guess. And even then, meeting her was kinda fun.” He wasn’t forgetting that kid or her Sistermon any time soon. The two were definitely very interesting individuals… that he didn’t want to see any time soon, even though wishing ill to a little girl was probably a bit much, as smart as she was.
“Bad side of it is that we haven’t gotten a new signal in what feels like weeks. I’m not really comfy with the whole expecting the call before doing anything about it, you know? Being passive in a situation like this is so frustrating... “
Both Katherine’s sister and Magnus nodded at that statement. The feeling of having to wait until the puppeteer pulled the strings for them to move into action was a bit stressful, overall.
“A-at least we can enjoy our t-time here, right? I have never been to Whitewater’s beach. I-It’s so pretty.”
That was true as well, all things considered. Maybe it was for the best if the group abandoned all the stress surrounding their situation, even if just for today, and just enjoyed themselves.
“Yeah. If it depended on me, I wouldn’t mind sitting under the sun for the whole day.”
Maybe, just maybe… Magnus was onto something. At the very least, that plan didn’t sound half bad.

While Magnus and his comrades were contemplating their purpose, and what was in store for their futures, there was a Terriermon that had recently washed up on shore that was lost in thought for another reason.
How exactly do you get humans to breathe?
"C'mon, breathe goddammit!" The Digimon's sister, a Lopmon, shouted at the top of her lungs. She was standing atop an motionless girl's chest, looking no older than eleven or twelve. In attempt to bend the girl's malfunctioning body to her will, she slapped the girl across the face with her massive ear covered in wet brown and pink fur.
"Mocha!" The Digimon tried to get her sister's attention, all-the-while shaking the seawater off of her beige and green fur. "Attacking the face does nothing if they can't breathe... I think!"
"Then tell me where to hit her, and I'll slap the hell out of it!" Mocha shouted back towards the Terriermon.
"I... don't know that much about humans..." She admitted. "At least, not about how they work or anything..."
"You don't know!?" The Lopmon pressed the issue. "Cream, you're supposed to know all the stuff that I don't! Otherwise we're not the world's best team!"
"Th-that's just unreasonable!" Cream the Terriermon shouted back. "Now give me a couple of seconds so I can think!"
"Cream, her lips are blue! Do you think I should hit them?" Mocha asked in a panic, but didn't give the Terriermon time to answer. "Fuck it, I'm gonna hit them!" She began punching the little girl in the lips with her tiny paws. "Oh, Cream, they're turning red now! Did I fix her?"
Cream took a second to examine their human partner before slapping the Lopmon with her own ear. "That's the stuff that comes out of humans when they get hurt real bad! You're making her even worse!"
"W-w-well I don't see you trying to do anything!" The Lopmon countered, half-shocked that Cream was willing to hit her.
"That's because..." An idea came to her mind. "Wait, we've seen her breathe before! Just... jump on her chest and tummy and maybe we can force the water out of her!"
And thus, when Magnus, Akemi, Katherine, and anyone else who may be passing by notice the trio, they would see an exhausted Terriermon and Lopmon jumping on top of an unconscious girl's torso.

The binary archipelago.
A location that until very recently the wraithmon hadn’t a clue about; and honestly the shademon evolution didn’t really remember how he had gotten ehre. It was a bit frustrating really. Maybe it had been his malfunctioning portal device? Or maybe he just had the worst of luck when it came to things like this.
Letting out a small harumph of irritation the many eyed creature would glance about; flickign his ears a few times. This wasn’t exactly the sort of locale that he liked being in. It was too open and it was far too… strange to him.
Well.
Maybe he could just figure out where he was if he could find some people; nearby there seemed to be a trio of individuals that were conversing and not too far away from them… There seemed to be a distressed pair of mons fretting over a young girl.
Humans were quaint things weren’t they? Not too durable from what he could recal. His trainer had suggested to him that he should meet more humans. Before he had left them at least. But a human in distress was… something that the creature wasn’t exactly going to let slide by.
They had rich emotions and this one was far too young to let whatever ailed her take her. Growling to himself the beast would lumber forward. His many eyes swiveling and keeping track of those around him.
Idly his hands shifted and flowed to tug out a small handkerchief. Those were useful right? Could do a lot with these things. Something small for him wasn’t exactly small for humans and to this girl it was probably more like a towel. Which could likely dry them off.
Shade’s low rumbling voice rolled out of what amounted to his throat and the mon addressed the rabbits. He knew enough about humans that not breathing was bad. And that they should get her to do the breathing sooner rather than later.
”You’re being too rough… and she’s face down… flip them over and work the back…”
Having almost drowned once himself he knew that to get the water out it was easier if you laid someone down and turn their heads. If allowed he’d help them along… if not he’d just keep to a good distance away. Not wanting to intrude on what was basically these two mon’s turf. His head slowly turned to the other trio…
”....Some humans know how other humans work yes…? Can help work this human?”

Laying down over a towel under the sun was probably one of the most relaxing things a mon or human could ever do. Much to the trio’s dismay, it seemed like Magnus had the uncanny ability to jinx any prospective plans for the group; the three noticed rather readily the presence of the two rabbits struggling to save their tamer’s life. And if that hadn’t been enough, another —admittedly strange— digimon remarked that other humans happened to be Magnus’ area of expertise.
The three exchanged a brief glance before the male rushed towards where the small girl stood. Akemi and Katherine trailed behind him. “Please move aside.” He asked politely, albeit with urgency very clear on his tone. “How long has she been unresponsive? Hopefully it’s not too late.”
Thankfully, he had done this exactly one time before. First step was to see if she could wake up on her own; the brunette first positioned the girl’s body to clear the airway; he made sure the girl's body was laying on her back and tilted her chin and head backwards. After that, he gave her body a firm shake to see if that would wake her up. If not good enough, he’d resort to pinch her earlobe somewhat strongly. And, if that neither wasn’t good enough, he’d begin to position the girl for her to receive rescue breaths. With any luck, that wouldn’t be necessary, but if it was…
In the meantime, Katherine and Akemi would do their best to calm the rabbits in case they were growing worried and/or agitated. An aggressive atmosphere wouldn’t do anyone good, after all.

As if things didn't seem dire enough, while Cream and Mocha were busy trying and failing to resuscitate their partner, an eight-foot-tall, many-eyed aberration suddenly appeared before them. Mocha was about to charge right into the creature, but Cream managed to hold her sister back as he offered them a...
"What exactly are we supposed to do with..." Cream began to ask, but Mocha grabbed it and began to shove it in Nanami's mouth.
"We'll use this towel to dry up all the water stuck inside her!" Mocha exclaimed, but the Terriermon pulled back the towel.
"Don't be stupid!" Cream answered. "Even when the towel soaks up all the water in her lungs, she'll suffocate from the towel in her throat!"
Then a human and two other Digimon approached them, and the human seemed to know what he was doing. Cream decided to let the human help her, forcibly dragging her sister back as she protested.
"Hey, for starters, who the hell are all of you, and where did you come from!?" The Terriermon covered her sister's mouth with her ear before speaking up herself.
"We were in the ocean for a while now. We were... prematurely let off our vessel before having to swim to safety..." She tried to explain. "We had grabbed onto her as we swam to safety. It was... moderately difficult, so I don't know how long she's been like this. At least since we just washed up to shore."
"God-damned fish from hell!" Mocha shouted out after swatting Cream's ear away. Still, the pair watched as the other human do a bunch of weird-looking stuff, but Cream was able to keep cool. After all, what was the worst thing the young man could do; strangle a drowning girl?
And whatever he did seemed to be a success. She was rather unresponsive for the most part, but once Magnus had gotten close to do something to the girl's face, her body began to spasm as she coughed up a mouthful of water. She suddenly say upright, narrowly avoiding conking the young man in the head.
"No... no more water, please..." She pleaded in between coughs. "And salt's bad for you... And it tasted really bad, too..."
"Stupid Nanami!" Mocha suddenly shouted out, running up and ramming into the girl's chest. She wrapped her arms around the Lopmon as she looked around, confused.
"Hiya, Mocha..." She said when she could breathe properly. She rubbed her hands on the back of Mocha's head and giggled. "Your fur's all wet..."
"Thank you..." Cream walked over to the young man, offering a tiny paw while turning towards the strange many-eyed Digimon and nodding. "Umm... I don't know your names. I'm Cream. And the others are Mocha and Nanami." She assumed they'd be able to tell who was who.

Shade flicked his ears, his address to the others was met with concern yes but that was exactly the point. He’d step back away from the human and watched curiously. What exactly was the best route for someone to take when another was drowning? And a human of all things? He’d rub at his chin with a pair of claws, looking beyond curious at what the human was doing.
Having the towel yanked out of his hands for the use of ‘soaking up the water’ made a bit of sense but… The terriermon had a better point in suffocating via the towel. Shade would lean to gently pull the towel away from the terriermon. Instead he’d fold it up, if they needed it for later it’d be off to one side.
He wasn’t much one for words and would shift his ‘weight’ from one foot to the other as the two rabbit type mons bickered. It wasn’t too much longer before the human shot back up, surprising the mon that she was fine even without a lot of help. Humans… were fairly tough weren’t they?
Or at least fairly water resistant? It was something the wraithmon would have to investigate sometime later. Hearing the small mon call the human by their name he’d tilt his head to one side. Mocha, Cream and Nanami. Easy enough names ot remember. His eyes swiveled and focused on cream as they spoke to him. With introductions on the way the large mon squatted down offering his hand for what he knew to be custom for some; a shake!
”Shade is Shade. Cream is terriermon?”
He had met maybe one or two of that kind of digimon before; they weren’t super rare but it was more common to run into other variants out in the wilds. Rougher, tougher and vicious variants that made their turf obvious.
A pair of his eyes on his back swiveled to look at the young man standing nearby; he didn’t quite understand them; or rather didn’t really understand fleshlings. A soft rumble and he’d extend an extra arm out to offer the same to the other.
”Human’s name?”
While they were on the circle of introductions it didn’t hurt to ask right?

Yup. It wasn’t hard to predict that the rabbits would be alarmed when a human suddenly interjected on their business, but a life was at risk and he had to act fast! Pleasantries could wait until then.
Luckily, the procedure worked and the small girl recovered her consciousness. That was a relief; Magnus just wasn’t ready to watch a little girl die just yet. Nobody could possibly predict what kind of sequelae would have ensued from that. No point in discussing that right now, however! Everyone was alive and well, and that’s what mattered. Except Shade, maybe. He didn’t look all that alive to be honest.
“It’s good to see you’re doing fine.” The guy responded, a bit startled at how his head was almost painfully bashed. “You had me worried for a bit there.”
Of course, her words would be interrupted by the Lopmon who was too busy being a tsundere to hold her feelings for a bit more. It was then when the trio turned to face the Terriermon instead. She seemed more calm, polite and level headed overall.
“You’re welcome, I’m glad I could help.” The young man said, taking the paw offered and shaking it to the best of his ability. It was almost like shaking hands with a small kid. “Name’s Magnus, and these are…”
In a small flash of light, both Akemi’s and Katherine’s holosuits undid themselves, revealing a Numemon X and a Shakomon.
“I’m Katherine!”
“And… I-I’m Akemi.”
While Magnus took another moment to shake Shade’s hand, Akemi turned to face Cream. “D-Do you know why you were a-attacked like that? The waters around here are usually pe-peaceful.”
It was weird for Akemi to take the word, but the Numemon’s expression seemed genuinely concerned about this development. Could it be that this situation was a soft spot for her? No way to know, really.

"It's nice to meet you, Shade, Magnus, Katherine, and Akemi," Cream nodded to each one, as if finalizing their greeting. Nanami suddenly stood up while Mocha took purchase on the girl's shoulder. She suddenly started to waver back and forth as she threw her arms out to the side and waved them around frantically while Mocha had to hold on for dear life.
Once she regained her composure she apologized. "Sorry! I stood up too fast, and..." She let out a nervous chuckle. "Anyway, I'm Nanami, and this is..."
"We've already introduced you, Stupid Nanami!" Mocha barked, rolling her eyes. Nanami stuck her tongue back towards the Lopmon.
"What do you mean, 'we'...?" Cream muttered under her breath, but turned to face the other three. There was a mysterious, nigh-unsettling creature in the form that called himself Shade. She wasn't able to identify this particular species, but ever since meeting Omen and that flying fish she had never seen before, the Terriermon realized she still had quite a bit to learn about her home world. Either way, he seemed amicable enough. And if he were truly a fiendish Digimon, he would have attacked them while they were struggling to abuse resuscitate Nanami.
Magnus on the other hand was the opposite. It's not that he seemed bland, but he didn't particularly stand out from all the other humans she had met. But he was willing to go out of his way to help her partner, so it was clear that he was a good person, though it seemed that there was a strange scent coming from at least one of his partners that couldn't exactly be called pleasant. She wondered when Mocha was going to say something about it and offend someone, creating another mess that either she or Nanami would have to defuse. The last time they were at the beach things didn't exactly go well in the "getting along" department.
Nanami looked at Katherine and Akemi rather curiously. "Hey... I didn't notice that there were two adorable Digimon there... weren't there a couple of little..." Nanami stayed silent for a couple seconds, most likely imagining something bizarre again. "Oh, I guess having holosuits makes sense, too! Otherwise, we'd need a lot of sushi!" Cream raised a curious eyebrow at her statement, wondering exactly what went on inside that strange head of hers. And when Akemi asked them a question, Nanami shook her head.
"I don't really know too many details right now..." Most likely because the effects of... l i q u i d t i m e... they may or may not be concurrently undergoing these events as they stood around. "But a big ol' flying fish came and attacked us while we were on a boat! Oh, but then we fell off, and we had to swim..." She crossed her arms while looking down at her feet thoughtfully. "But I don't really remember swimming to shore, so..."
Cream resisted the urge to facepalm. But just barely.

Shade tilted his head to one side as the male human introduced himself as Magnus. A name that the wraithmon had never heard before and really had never… had any reason to. His head turned slowly to look to the Numemon X and the Shakomon. Types of digimon he was largely unfamiliar with. Given that the dark area didn’t really see much of them from what he could remember.
”...Twins?”
Shade’s curious tone wasn’t hard to pick up on; it was obvious that the lopmon and the terriermon were twins to him. But these two felt earnestly different than what he knew. He wasn’t aware of what an Xros was or what a spirit user was. Heck he barely knew tamers at this point.
A swath of shade’s extra eyes shifted and gazed at the other three. Cream only had a pair of eyes lazily stare at them; they were largely not a threat and he understood them the most. They seemed the protective big sister type; a type that shade was familiar with overall. Mocha seemed the strangest to him out of that trio and had the most eyes staring at them.
The fleshling had a majority of the extra eyes focus on them, out of concern and curiosity. Humans were always a strange bunch to him. They always seemed to do the most and always seemed to have the most going on. He’d rub at his chin and stare quietly at the human as the extra introduction was done. Yet another hand snaked out to offer itself for a shake.
”This is where shade says pleased to meet you?”
Shade didn’t exactly remember every little nuance but that was something that he was sort of used to. Introductions! People came and went in his neck of the woods all the time! Shade tilted his head to one side as the youth said something about sushi. He’d open his mouth to say something and just clack his teeth after a moment. Flying fish? Attack on a boat? Well that was a large unfortunate sequence but he had to ask…
”Was fish red? Ugly nasty red?”
Shade furrowed his brows excessively and turned his head to glance at the other three. Did any of them know of that threat? Would that threat get into the ocean too? Or was this just completely unrelated?
”Didn’t swim. Probably floated. Sea gave fleshling another chance yes yes.”

From what happened next it was a tad obvious that Nanami hadn’t fully recovered from her near-death experience; however, that hint of youthful vitality was more than evident on her actions, prompting Magnus to smile a bit. With any luck, this little girl wouldn’t try to steal his wallet. Twice in a row would be the beginning of an unlucky streak the guy wasn’t very interested in maintaining. Luckily, and despite the fact that the trio was in the company of something that looked like a Tartarian Spawn, everyone around seemed to be relatively harmless. Didn’t mean the situation moving forward, though! Soon enough, the group found themselves amid the pincer movement of two different questions coming from different beings! For the time being, Akemi remained near Nanami and her group, while Katherine responded to Shade’s inquiries. “We’re not twins, but almost!” The Shakomon answered. “As far as I know, I hatched first and then Akemi followed, so we’re sisters! Sisters that were born almost at the same time. That’s not twins, right? Unless it is, in which case, we might…?” Her voice trailed off a bit; surely, the nature of twins was a strange one, at least forum-wise. But it wasn’t like that mattered a lot. On the other hand, the Numemon X wasn’t so sure on how to respond to the human’s own words. She didn’t even remember when was the last time she had been called ‘cute’ by someone else that wasn’t her sister or Magnus. The first, obvious reaction to that was blushing furiously, ofcourse. “Th-thanks.” It was nothing short short of a miracle that she could actually articulate words. “Wh-why would we need su-sushi, though? Do your partners n-not have any holosuits?” In the end, it seemed that the reason why the trio had ended in a situation like this was none other than a digimon attack. Those have gotten fairly recent as of late, hadn’t they? “Was there m-more people in the boat or were you the o-only ones?” It made sense for Akemi to worry, considering that more people could be in a similar predicament to Nanami as they spoke. Maybe they needed help as well? Destiny wouldn’t wait a lot for answers, however. From the sky, seemingly out of nowhere, a small object crashed violently in the empty space between everyone currently present, kicking some sand around and temporarily blinding Katherine at the very least. “What was that?” Magnus looked at the point of impact, only to find an empty bullet cartridge that was surrounded by a flickering and unstable form. Both Katherine and Akemi peered in that direction as well, and while there was a measure of alarm as well, the two of them gazed at the Kudamon as if she were an old acquaintance. Quite weird. The digimon was in no position to answer back to a possible greeting, sadly. “Well. I think I'm at a bit of a loss.” Magnus eyes shifted towards his new acquaintances, worry evident on them. “Can anyone help her? She looks like she’s in pain.” Knowledge about helping drowning humans was useless here! Not to say that, for some reason, his partners seemed to be too focused on the Kudamon herself to realize the condition she was in.

"And it's nice to meet you!" Nanami proclaimed as she shook Shade's hand. She didn't get the opportunity to shake people's hands often, so she immediately began feeling fancy. She straightened her posture before exclaiming. "You're really tall but you're really cool and cute, too! I don't think I've ever seen a Digimon like you!" She started counting the eyes, but gave up after a bit. "But... are you really okay on this beach? We should move somewhere else if you want! I know when I rub my eyes when there's sand on my hands it really hurts, so I can't imagine what it's like for you right now!"
"Oh, but the fish wasn't red it was... like... gray and blue! And flew around in the air, and shot this gooey missile out of its chest!"
"You'll have to forgive her," Cream attempted to explain to Akemi. "Her head takes her to places... no one else can imagine. So she says stuff that only makes sense to her, sometimes."
"In other words, Stupid Nanami is stupid," Mocha translated. "And we don't need holosuits because we don't want to be seen walking around as humans. They're ugly, weak, and smelly! Digimon forms are much better!" She pointed towards Nanami as she pointed to the human whose shoulder she was sitting on.
"I am not!" Nanami protested. "And if there was a bunch of sushi and other seafood, then even a kid could become like that! 'Cause you are what you eat, right?"
"And how is a clam and an ugly slime creature considered sushi?" Mocha asked.
"That's... hmm..." Nanami pondered thoughtfully. "I guess I didn't think about it like that!"
"At all," Mocha corrected. "You didn't think about it at all."
"Umm... Anyways, you don't have to worry about other passengers. We were alone on the boat when..." Before Cream could finish explaining something fell from the sky. Cream covered her eyes with her ears, while Nanami suddenly jumped in front off Shade to protect the eight-foot tall creature's many eyes from the incoming sand with all 145cm of her nigh-emaciated body.
Once the sand cleared, Cream had noticed that Magnus's partners had given the visitor a strange look, and tilted her head curiously. Still, it was rude to pry.
Magnus asked if anyone could help, and Nanami immediately pulled out a cube and set it on the ground. It expanded into a storage box and she began to dig around furiously through its contents, throwing several articles of clothing off into the sand. "It's here somewhere... Found it!" She pulled out a first aid kit and showed it to Magnus. "This'll help, right? And I've seen this kind of thing on dramas at the hospital!" Her hands were shaking nervously as she held it up. "W-we just gotta remove the b-b-bullet, first, right?"

Hearing that the two mons weren’t twins confused Shade quite a bit; he’d rub at his chin with his claws again. Staring quietly at the shakomon. So what would that make them then? He’d voice his curiosity at that point and his voice was quite laced with it. Halting; gentle words that definitely gave way to what amounted to a somewhat surprising amount of intelligence for some creature like this.
”So what are… Katherine and… Akemi? If not twins?”
There was a deep throaty thrumming as he considered his question himself. Sisters obviously was the first that came to mind but the next was something that worked in the realm of family. Cousins… distant cousins perhaps? He’d tilt his head slightly as he continued to mull this over.
Oh and the fact he seemed to miss an important question; were there more people on the boat? That definitely seemed like something one should ask. He’d stare out into the ocean with a few of his eyes, his head slowly turning until it was unnaturally facing the ocean. That was a very good question that he felt that if the answer was yes…. That they should honestly go looking for the other humans or mons. They might be in the same pickle. And if they weren’t that’d probably mean that they were searching for Nanami right?
With Nanami shaking his hand the large digimon’s attention was redirected again. Hearing that she thought he was cute and cool brought a somewhat confused look to the eldritch creatures face. At least though the fish wasn’t an ugly red; that would mean the red plague was still spreading…
”As far as shade knows. He is the only one of his kind. The beach is fine; if not a little… grainy.”
Shade looked down to his feet and raised a brow as he tried to figure what she meant. He was used to his eyes getting things into them and he was used to cleaning them out on t he regular. Why did the others think he carried a towel of all things?
Shade was busy listening to what the three had to say, so they were the only ones on the boat? That made it easy to not have to worry but they were all cut off by the thing that had fallen from the sky. He’d hop back a step or two; while also being ‘protected’ by Nanami; causing him to blink a few times. More sand got into his eyes than what the other probably wanted but it didn’t bother him too much.
Just meant another rag or towel he’d have to clean out later. Making a somewhat disgruntled sound he’d pull one out of his chest. To anyone that paid close enough attention shade’s body probably worked a lot like an infinistorage… or there was an infini storage jammed somewhere in his shadows that people couldn’t see.
”That kit would have been useful earlier. Did your companions know about it?”
There was a low rumble and he’d lean to look at the kudamon. Seeing the large bullet he’d snort in derision. Kudamon were holy type digimon, that came with a cartridge type item. It had various uses for various kudamons. But the most common was something in the form of an attack or for something that the kudamon’s used to store stuff in.
”That’s a kudamon. That bullet is a part of their data. Normally holy type digimon… must of have been in a fight somewhere to end up like this…”
He’d growl low and look up to the sky, squinting and bringing a hand or three up to block out the sun. If they were fighting something that definitely meant that whatever caused this wouldn’t be far behind.
”Humans carry digivices yes? Scanner or medical program yes? Scan them?”
In his free time during the limited amount of rehab that shade had undergone he learned quite a few things about humans and their strange devices. Then again there hadn’t been much for him to do other than read or build things in his ‘home’.

Shade proceeded to ask the question of what Akemi and Katherine were, and while the Shakomon curved an eyebrow at the notion of having to repeat herself, she ended up shrugging. It wasn’t like she was ashamed of reminding others that Akemi was her precious little sister. “Sisters! We were born in the same clutch, so that makes us sisters! S-I-S-T-E-R-S. We’re like, almost twins, but not quite! I still care about Kemi as much as if she were my twin, though. That’s what sisters are about!”
Hearing her sister make such a fuss about it made Akemi blush, even though she turned to face the shadowy digimon and nodded. “Y-Yes. She’s right.”
Luckily, the conversation would shift away from that topic and Shade’s attention would be mostly diverted towards Nanami. She described the digimon that attacked the group, even though neither Magnus nor his digimons recognized them. A new species, perhaps? Or, maybe their knowledge on Digital World matters wasn’t all that expansive, it could be either or!
Akemi waved her limbs dismissively towards Cream’s apology, nervous at the mere fact anyone thought they owed an apology to her. “I-It’s not a problem! I think Nanami’s a g-good girl, so that’s f-fine.”
One could almost think that the young girl got into Akemi’s good side solely because she had thrown a genuine compliment towards her without being asked to… and they’d be probably right, honestly. By the same metric, one could expect the Numemon X to instantly wither when called ‘ugly slime creature’; she immediately hid behind Magnus’ leg, her expression obviously distraught. Of course, Katherine turned to face Mocha right afterward, her expression less than friendly.
“What did you just say?” Her tone was nothing short of threatening; it was impossible to say what would happen next unless Mocha carefully measured her next words… if it weren’t for the living projectile that had managed to fall just then, and hopefully defused that tense situation, at least momentarily!
What was the group going to do about the fallen Kudamon, however? She looked understandably worse from the wear, and while Nanami hastily searched inside… a pretty weird hammerspace-esque device, only to bring a first-aid kit afterward and suggesting to ‘remove the bullet’. In all honesty? Magnus was completely out of his element, up to the point he was beginning to sweat a bit; he just didn’t know what to do. It was the first time he’d seen a critically injured digimon, even!
Shade happened to be the wise one in this situation, providing the helpful tidbit that the cartridge was none other than part of the Kudamon’s data. “I guess… that won’t be necessary, then. Think we can heal them somehow?”
Those words had the unexpected effect of rousing Katherine from her reverie; she sprang upwards, almost as if she had the answer to that situation. “Right! We should help her, sis! Can you do your thing?”
Akemi was also snapped out of her weird trance-like state by her sister’s words and was back to her usual, awkward self. "Y-Yes!" She nodded somewhat nervously before approaching the injured Kudamon, gently picking her up and then… hugging her caringly. Such a sincere act was apparently enough to somewhat mend the Kudamon’s wounds, up to the point she sprung up from the Numemon’s arms, right into the air!
“Heyo, everyone!” Her voice was peepy and vivacious, almost as if she hadn’t been critically wounded moments before. “Thanks for helping me out! I almost thought I was gon-ow!” Yep, she still wasn’t in top shape. “Sorry, sudden movement!”
She didn’t seem like she cared a lot about being covered in the Numemon's slime, nor minded the less-than-optimal smell as she approached Nanami.
“Hey, nice lady! I recognize that thingy you've got over there.” A tiny paw motioned towards the first-aid kit. “I wouldn’t mind being bandaged. Would you mind bandaging me? Pretty please?” A most surprising turn of events, no doubt. Magnus couldn’t but give his partners a glance… and then shrug. At least everything was relatively fine.

"Eh!? The bullet's part of her?" Nanami tilted her head at the creature with a curious expression. Cream could only imagine the conclusions that she could be drawing right now. "So... what happened to the hitman?"
Cream cleared her throat and looked around, and already saw Shade looking up to the sky. So she didn't have to say anything, after all. Thank goodness. She wasn't particularly fond of being the reasonable one all of the time, so if she could just stay silent and relax just a bit it would be absolutely wonderful. Not that she could relax much in this situation. She had no idea who this new visitor was, or why they suddenly appeared.
Nanami pulled out her Digivice for a second - a hideously colored amalgamation of pink, green, and brown. Kind of reminded her of what she left behind off the boat she was in. On the bright side, Cream learned that her human partner got seasick very easily, and she surmised that Nanami found that out at the same time. Putting the Digivice back, she muttered. "I don't think my Digivice has that function. They can turn Mocha and Cream into slightly bigger bunnies... oh and Cream becomes an angel with a sword, but..."
"Back on point..." Cream interrupted, sighing. No one else seemed to notice, so she would have to be the one to bring it up. "Katherine. Akemi. Is everything okay? You two seem rather distracted... and not from the sudden visit, but by the visitor in particular."
Still, the sisters were able to snap out of it to provide a rather... visceral method of recovery, and the Kudamon suddenly regained a pep in her step. She approached Nanami, still holding the First-Aid Kit and asked for some help. Nanami's face suddenly turned from mild surprise to an uncontrollable starry-eyed grin. Cream wasn't sure if it was because of the cuteness of the Kudamon, or the fact that someone actually asked Nanami for help of their own free will.
"Of course I can help!" She said, perhaps a little too eager. Cream looked around the sand, picked up one of Nanami's shirts thrown off to the side, brushed it off, and approached the slime-covered Kudamon.
"You may want to wipe some of that off, first..." The Terriermon recommended. Meanwhile, Nanami kneeled down to get closer to the Kudamon.
"Ugh, gross!" Mocha balked while clutching her nose. She jumped off Nanami's shoulder, walking closer towards Shade. "Hey, forty-eyes. You seein' anything suspicious around? Like a giant gun in the sky that's intent on ruining perfectly good conversations?"
As Cream tried to wipe off the slime from Kudamon's body she wondered if the shirt she was holding could possibly be cleaned enough to wear. Naturally, she didn't voice such an opinion because to do so would be plain rude. Meanwhile, Nanami pulled out a roll of bandages, her hands shaking as she prepared to wrap the little holy Digimon. Still wiping Kudamon down, she placed one of her ears on Nanami's hand.
"Take it slowly if you need to. Don't wrap it too tight, and you'll do just fine," She comforted the human girl. So she began to work on the Kudamon, with Cream's ear guiding her movements. Unable to handle the awkward silence of her concentrating on such a simple task, Nanami spoke up, speaking slowly so she could focus.
"S-so what's your name? I'm Nanami! And this is Cream! I have another friend named Mocha! She's the brown one over by Shade! He's the really tall one! And the other human is Maggy... and then the Clammon-"
"Shakomon."
"Shakomon is Kathy! And then there's Kemi, who helped make you feel better!"

Maybe it took twice tellings or the like for shade to finally get it but he’d slowly nod his head. Maybe it was just cause of how they looked that he had a hard time following with them; or maybe given all the information he was processing at once was sort of making him miss something. He’d crouch a bit and tilt his head; looking the two over before nodding his head a few times.
”Makes sense; the digital world is full of surprises.”
He’d rub at his chin somewhat thoughtfully and consider the numemon x as they hid behind the human’s leg. His expression softened a little bit and he’d turn his head to look at mocha; was that something that really need be said? He didn’t think so and the frown on his face was something that would easily be picked up on. Given the fact he had quite a big red smile on his face most of the time.
”Shade doesn’t have anything that could heal others unfortunately. Not in this or the other form he can take.”
The last part wasn’t said bitterly; just more matter a factly!
He stood back up and stretched his limbs, squatting down for so long wasn’t something that he did very often and the lanky digimon probably should have stood back up sooner. He’d flick an ear as the kudamon sprung back up, surprising him enough to take a step back. Though his curiosity hit like a truck again...
”What happened to kudamon? Get into a fight?”
Given the damage he wouldn’t have been surprised if that was the answer to his question. The others for the most part gave him more information; cream and mocha could turn into larger creatures. Meaning they could digivolve. Definitely meant that none of the people here were the sort shade would want to prey on. Especially in such density!
”Eh? Hmm.”
Shade blinked at hearing mocha address him as ‘forty-eyes’; his grin shifted a bit and he’d lean to look down at the lopmon. His other eyes were looking about; most of them keeping to the sky where the kudamon had come from… He didn’t see anything immediately and just shook his head.
”Doesn’t seem to be… but there are plenty of mons that can hide their presence. Shade would suggest to stay on guard.”
