Better Present, Better Future [Moonstone]

The day was peaceful in Whitewater. The weather was pleasant and the Digimon were going about their daily lives worry free. It's been a while since Toki has been able to appreciate a sense of peace like this. He was relaxing at a table of a cafe at the beachfront alongside Aylin. The two of them were enjoying glasses of the local fruit punch and were overall doing rather well for themselves. Aylin looked up at Toki as she kicked her feet a bit on her chair "So you think it's really time to bring people over to the Monastery and get the team built up?" She asked.
Toki nodded "Now's probably the best time to get started since things seem to be calm for now. I've been putting this off for far too long, so I put out a call for those who would be interested in joining the team. I figured it would be best to meet in Whitewater instead of having them come to a remote place off its shores to discuss joining." He said with a laugh.
Aylin also laughed "Yeah that's a good idea. It's a little out of the way for an interview. I just wanted to make sure you're really ready for this. It's probably going to take a lot of work to get this going for real."
Toki took a drink from his glass "I know, but we've been hard at work fixing up the monastery. It's got room, it's restocked with new books, and it's a place to just get away from everything if people need a break. I'm...still not entirely sure what we'll be able to offer other than that, but we'll figure something out."
Despite Toki's uncertainty, Aylin was supportive of him through and through "We don't have to have it all figured out today. Just keep doing what you do best! I'm sure others will follow the example you set."
He smiled warmly "Thank you, Aylin. It's weird...being what could possibly be considered an 'example.' It feels like yesterday that I was still struggling to get across the desert and maintaining evolution for more then ten minutes. Now there are...people who look up to me. I want to be an inspiration and help others see potential in a better future, but I don't want all of this to go to my head."
"It won't, Toki. You have the will and sense to keep yourself grounded! You're a lot like dad in that sense...also in that you keep worrying about the future so much! A better future starts with the present, right? Things are fine now, so relax and enjoy the now. You deserve that."
Toki was silent for a moment as he thought about that. "You're right. We can't lose track of what we've already done and how things are now. Things are getting better and we should be happy about that. Let's stay this course, okay?" He smiled and raised a glass to Aylin. She happily raised her glass back at him.

"And you really think its a good idea to be out in the open like this?"
"Just keep your nose down."
The Renamon found herself giving a 'tsk', rubbing the back of her right glove against her nose. Denryu and Angel found themselves in an interesting and difficult position, one where it was hard to work 'above the table' and one where it was becoming increasingly difficult to get any sort of consistent work from their base in Old Terminus. Something had to change, but was something as public as a team really the right idea?
"Don't worry about it so much." Angel's ear gave a flick at Denryu's comment. Damn it, was it so easy to read her right now? "If anything, Toki's even more stubborn than I am, when it comes to sticking out our necks for this kind of thing. Besides, you're only here because its him, right?"
"... Tch." Alright, he had a point there. It didn't take them too long to make their way through Terminus, up to that meeting point - a cafe, just a few blocks off of the market district. Angel would catch sight of the pink bunny and the spirit wielder, the fox giving a short wave as the two came up to the outdoor table.
"... Aylin, right?" Angel sounded about half-sure of the mercenary's name - though, granted, the last time they met was not exactly a good time to learn it! "Well, I suppose this is a better place to meet than the middle of the desert..."
"Hm." Denryu - especially without his mask - remained as flat as ever. "Good to see you back up and running. Guess I should apologize for making our last meeting about 'business."
"Emma's doing great, by the way." Angel added that in, as a slightly more upbeat note. "So, what's all this about?"

Conflict and strife run rampant across the whole of the digital world. Often times with neither side of the conflict, big or small, bring completely in the right. Even someone as young as David has seen this too many times. And sure, by being in the right place at the right time, he and Ziggy have managed to mitigate smaller conflicts, but there must be something that can be done on a larger scale while maintaining that all important rule of never escalating a situation. These sorts of thoughts rarely stay for long, but when word of a certain group reached David's ears while in Whitewater he couldn't shake the feeling that they would be important to his ideals.
Now, David stands next to a portal in his room that leads to a small cafe in the digital world, with his ModokiBetamon partner resting atop his messy head of hair. Walking through means undergoing a life-changing experience. "You sure you're ready for this?" Ziggy inquired calmly, with an unspoken "You don't have to," hidden behind the question.
One could assume that after 2 major life upheavals in quick succession, this would be simple. But this is different. Moving to Shibuya and gaining a digivice; those were two events that happened to him. This time, he would be the catalyst for change. That automatically made it more difficult, and yet, "Yeah. I am." Now that it's been said, it can't be taken back.
In a single step, David transports himself across realities onto a beachfront cafe. At a glance, it seems easy to find who he is looking for. The largest group at a single table? Check. Looking way too serious for being in such a fun place? Check. Both boy and frog approached the group with heavy steps, David so nervous that it felt like his heart might burst with how fast it was pumping.
"Hi, I want to-um, I mean. Are you guys-" As the child stumbles through his words, Ziggy glances downwards and rubs a fin comfortingly across his scalp, hidden behind all the mess. Between that and a deep breath, he was calm enough to try again. "I'm looking for Moonstone. Name's David, and I want to help." Everyone is searching for a world where they belong. A place of light, free of falsehood.

Well, this was certainly an exciting moment for Lise Hamelin, by day a Geography teacher in Shibuya High, and now by the other day, a digimon tamer. Having gone through the process of having her partner, Ark the Agumon Hakase hatch from an egg before the eyes of her students in a class, thankfully events like that had died down over the rest of the school year.
For the moment though, today would be a new experience for her status as a "digimon tamer", or "chosen" as was the more polite term. It had taken Lise a few months to gather up the confidence and professional integrity to officially ask one of her students to help her take this next step, to find her destiny as a chosen in the digital world. Well, by one student, it was more accurately three. Colin, Luke and Bellamy James. Of these, only Colin was human; Luke and Bellamy meanwhile were digimon disguised by holographic technology to appear as humans. Despite knowing this though, Lise had accepted the digimon as students in her classes. Just as long as they didn't disrupt too much.
And to Lise's delight, when the school year had ended for the summer, Colin had agreed to escort her and Ark to the "digital world" and give her a tour of this other land. While it started awkwardly, as was expected when a student went on a secret journey with their teacher would be, Lise tried to make it as easy for him as she could manage, making it clear that she was here as an acquaintance rather than his teacher, and anything that happened here would not be spoken of in the next school year.
Lise was fascinated by the secret elevator that brought them to the Trailmon terminal, and was even more fascinated by the Trailmon - a sentient train that would apparently carry them to the digital world. The trip itself was relatively short, but Lise would not soon forget the experience of transition from being Matter on Earth to Data in the Digital World.
"You get used to it." Colin assured her as it passed. Lise held back asking a question about how many times he had exactly made the journey here, knowing it would just make things awkward. She was already asking a lot of him to escort her here in the first place.
Not long after, they arrived in Terminus City. Lise was awestruck. It was a metropolis on the scale of Tokyo, New York, London, all these major cities she had visited, but with digimon roaming the streets instead of humans.
She felt a little overwhelmed after a little while, however, and asked if there was anywhere in the digital world where she could come to terms with her status as a "Chosen" a little more lightly.
"Well, there's Whitewater, Hamelin-sensei." Colin answered her.
"Please, Colin, we're off the clock here, please call me Lise for now." Lise requested, not feeling comfortable with being reminded that her students were guiding her here. As long as they were in this world, she would regard Colin, Luke and Bellamy as her equals, rather than her students.
"Okay then... Lise..." Colin answered. "Whitewater is a tropical resort city. Things should be more easygoing there."
"Alright then, let's go to Whitewater." Lise concurred. "You stated that time runs 7 times faster in the digital world, yes?"
"Yeah, that's right, H- I mean- Lise." Colin replied. And so they went through a longer Trailmon journey from Terminus to Whitewater. As they disembarked, Lise felt envigorated at once by the tropical breeze.
"Ah, this is lovely. Reminds me of Miami." Lise remarked. "Colin, you're American, right? Have you ever been there?"
"Nope, I grew up in Nebraska, so I've never really been near the coast before moving to Japan when I was 11." Colin answered. "I've been to San Francisco though, on the way between Tokyo and Omaha. Admittedly I know more about the digital world than I do about Earth, given I've been riding an airship around here for a while."
"Oho, is that so?" Lise asked, intrigued. She was about to offer Colin and his partners bonus marks for their senior year if they based their geography assignments on the digital world, but held her tongue when she realized that it wouldn't really be ethical to do so. No, it would be better for her to investigate herself, with Ark.
They spent the remaining hours of daylight exploring around the city. Lise was impressed with it. The digimon had made a fine society here, and she was grateful that most of them seemed to be friendly to humans. The occasional one shot a menacing look in their direction, but thankfully the size of the group dissuaded them from causing too much trouble.
After a while however, Lise felt a vibration in her pocket. She reached into it and pulled out what she now knew was a "D-Terminal". In it was a message, from a group known as the "Moonstone Travellers", and they appeared to be recruiting prospective members to it. Colin appeared to have received the same message. However, as far as Lise knew, he was already in a group known as AEGIS and seemed to know his own way around the digital world.
Lise considered her options here. She understood that even though Colin, Luke and Bellamy were here to be her guides to the digital world, there was the fact that they were still teacher and student. Also, if she was to truly be a "Chosen", she would have to carve out her own path here, and not have to rely on them. With this, she turned to her partner.
"Ark, what do you think? Would this be a good idea to poke our noses in?" she asked. Even if they were completely new to the digital world, she had spent enough time here to feel relatively safe. And if she could grow independently of her students, maybe that would be better in the long run?
"Hmm." the Agumon Hakase read the message for himself. "Kindness and altruism? Those sound like things I can get behind. Yeah, I think it'd be a good idea!"
Him saying that made Lise decide on the next course of action. "Colin, Luke, Bellamy... can we have a word?" she asked. When she had their attention, she spoke her mind. "I'd like to thank the three of you so much for guiding me here to the digital world. However, if you wouldn't mind, I think Ark and I would like to talk to these "Moonstone Travellers". Would that be fine with you?"
"Hm? I dunno, could be risky..." Bellamy began. But Colin beamed and nodded his approval.
"That's fine with us. The leader is a guy named Toki, right? We've heard good things about him from our friends. He's as trustworthy as they come."
That made Lise so happy to hear. This was her chance to go her own way, and not bother her students anymore.
"Thank you for telling me that. I'll ask if you could please stick around the area until we need to go home?"
"Sure thing, Lise, we can go our own way for a while." Luke replied, knowing there was plenty of things they could do in Whitewater. "Just send us a message through Tamernet when you're ready to head home."
With that settled, Lise and Ark were left alone. They found the meeting spot, then entered. It seemed there were already people here. Taking a deep breath, Lise gathered her composure and approached.
"Hello there, is this the meeting for the Moonstone Travellers?" she asked. "I'm Lise, and this is my partner Ark. We received your message. We're new to the digital world, but, I think we would be delighted to join a group such as yours."
"Heya, nice to meet'cha!" Ark added, waving his claw underneath his oversized labcoat sleeve.

Twas not often that the one some dared call the Fatebreaker would go out of her way to see a vision through to the end. Yet that was something that she had opted to spend today doing. There was a meeting of a conglomerate of individuals that Mae had...mostly met in some capacity with an exception here or there.
And the Keramon had every intention of being there. Though, she was not to be arriving first. Having spent the day in a pensive mood, and thus having been grappling with thoughts? She had lost track of time.
So, Mae had to actually get to the meeting in a hurry. Once she had gotten close, and pretty much tumbled through the door? "I'm so sorry to barge in like this!" The Keramon uttered, before righting herself and clearing her throat.
"...I know plenty of you. But I think you don't know me. My name's Mae. It's nice to meet you." A glance towards Toki. "This...This -is- where the meeting for the team is, right?" HELP.

Aylin immediately looked up and a bright smile greeted Angel as she nodded towards her "Mhm! Angel, yes? It's so good to see you again!" She hopped up on her chair and waved. "I never had the chance to formally thank you for your efforts in saving us. So...thank you. Thank you so much." She bowed politely, as Toki followed suit.
Toki also smiled warmly at Angel and Denryu "Good to see you two as well! Chances are we wouldn't be here without your efforts. What brings the two of you here today? Would you like something to eat or drink?" He asked politely. He was happy to hear that Emma was doing well "I'm very glad to hear that she's been doing well since what happened. Let her know I said hello! Please, don't worry about our last meeting. It was the least I could do to repay you. How is the spirit faring from it? Well, I hope."
He looked around at Angel's question "Well...I'm actually planning on getting a group together. You remember that monastery? Aylin and I fixed it up a bit and...well, we want to use it for something good. To gather people together in a place where they can be safe, learn, and practice for the challenges ahead. I want to help people. That's all." He said with a warm expression. "Help them see the hope in the world again. To see that things can get better. That we can come together and look towards a brighter future. But to do that we need to make the present worthwhile. Live our lives the best we can, and inspire others to do the same."
Aylin chimed in "We want to help the Digital World and the Human World become more comfortable with one another too. Whether true understanding will ever come...well, we just can't predict that, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try. It will be a slow process...probably very hard too...but someone has to try. And we want to be that someone."
As they spoke about this, Toki noticed that another had arrived. A young boy. At first he was surprised. He almost forgot that it was normal for even kids David's age to receive Digivices and partners of their own. In a way that almost proved his and Aylin's point. Digimon and humans of all ages were capable of bonding and communicating with one another. Though it was still a dangerous life to lead. Would David be safe alongside them? Then Toki realized that if they didn't take him in then David would be in a worse position. Toki smiled warmly at David "Yep, you've come to the right place! You want to help us? Thank you. That means a lot to me...really." He said with complete sincerity. He looked between him and the ModokiBetamon that he assumed was his partner "Well if you want to help, then the two of you are free to come along with us. The more the merrier, and at the monastery we'll even be able to train together in peace."
Then, another new face approached. Lise and Ark. Toki was starting to actually get a little nervous, but Aylin pat his arm gently and smiled encouragingly. He smiled back and rubbed the top of her head. "Y-yes, this is where the meeting is being held. Well, meeting...it's nothing so official. If you have any question at all, Aylin and I would be glad to answer. Welcome to the Digital World, Lise." He bowed towards her politely. Newcomers to the Digital World? It was honestly perfect. He wanted to help them adjust and learn about this wondrous yet dangerous land. Though should he mention his abilities? Would they be off-put by the idea of a spirit user? He shivered slightly. He was still a young college student, after all. It was strange. In battle he had an eerie sense of calm, but actually staying and talking to so many people was still so overwhelming to him. "I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen of the world so far! There's so much to see and explore. It can be pretty dangerous, but like our world there are amazing things to see and people to meet."
Lastly, there was Mae. He was definitely surprised to see her here, but very happy at the same time. She also saved his life and fought alongside him in multiple battles. He approached her and pat the top of her head if she'd let him "It's good to see you again, Mae, under happier circumstances." He said with a gentle tone to help calm her down.
He stepped back to the table "Gather around, everyone and order what you want! My treat." He said with a bright expression. "The Moonstone Travelers...I hope to make this a group that spreads goodwill and hope across the world...both worlds." He said with a calm conviction. "To those who don't know, my name is Toki Akiyama. I'm a spirit user, a human who can harness the power of the spirits of Digimon to fight using their power." He held out his Digivice "Once, my dear friend Tsusagimon resided in this Digivice, but he sacrificed himself to save my life. So...I want to do what he would have wanted to do. He was one of my dearest friends...and I will live my life to the fullest for him...and I want to help others do the same with their lives. Over in the Blossom Isles, off the coast here, there's a monastery he used to teach at. It was his legacy....a-and now it's mine." He said. He choked up a little bit, but kept his composure.
Aylin bounded towards the group "I'm Aylin! I'm Tsusagimon's daughter. I want to help Toki carry on my father's legacy and give the Digital World the future it deserves by making it a better place now. I'm really glad to see so many people want to join us." She said. She was also getting a little emotional, but it was okay. The group deserved to know their feelings on this venture. For one, it was okay to be emotional and cherish those who came before.
A college student, an elementary school student, a teacher, a seer, and a general with his army. What would this wild assortment of people be capable of?

Angel gave a short nod, confirming Aylin's question. Aylin and Toki's bows were returned by a short one from Denryu, and as if it just clicked in her head, a moment later by the Renamon.
"The two of us are here for your invitation. And... maybe once the rest have arrived." Ordinarily, Angel would have jumped on that offer, but perhaps it wouldn't look good if they already had drinks coming, before the rest of the group? Denryu and Angel did have somewhat an idea of what was going on with the initial request, but didn't have all of the details yet.
"I'll let Emma know you're doing well, too. And, the spirit?"
Angel looked over to Denryu, the General pulling out his Xros Loader, placing it briefly on the Renamon's extended hand. Her eyes gave a faint pulse of light, the Renamon's tone changing somewhat.
"I'm managing. Honestly, I've had more of a voice than I've had in the past fifty years." That said, the AncientWisemon wasn't much to stick around, tossing the Xros Loader back to Denryu. Back as herself, Angel stretched out her back. As for Toki's idea?
... Simple. Noble. And it would need a fair bit of structure to get off the ground. "Well, that's about why we're here." Denryu gave a nod: "Even with a Xros General's team, you hit a hard wall trying to do things by yourself. I won't lie, we have quite a... colorful history behind us. But I'm sure we can make this work out... hm?"
Ah, the rest started to come on in. First David - someone that Angel honestly rose a brow at, simply seeing the difference in age. Denryu gave a nod, while Angel just kept her attention towards Toki. Next was Lise, a normal-enough looking Tamer-and-Digimon partner, and last was a Keramon - the only one that Angel was able to recognize off of the bat.
"Right, like we could forget you. Though I guess this is the first time you've seen the General without his mask."
Ah, right. With the rest of the group together, Toki briefly explained why the group was here - to establish 'The Moonstone Travelers', a group with a simple but lofty goal of upholding the goodwill of both worlds. Admirable, yes, but at this point Denryu and Angel were quite used to breaking their back to try and do crazy things on this side. Well, everyone else had introduced themselves...
"Might be cutting in here, but my name's Denryu. I'm a Xros General - Angel here is my 'center partner'. There's seven more, but I'm afraid that would crowd up this place a bit too much."
Simple enough! "How much of the, well, 'how' do we have sorted out for this, Toki? Denryu and I can say it firsthand, running this sort of thing ain't simple - even before you get to the 'stuff' you want to do."

It was interesting how things had turned out sometimes. After all, what chances would need to be present to have a meeting between three individuals who had all worked together at some point, as well as a few new faces?
...Seemed like the best place for a team to start.
The Keramon gave Toki a legitimate smile at the warm greetings, both from him and from Angel. Yeah, seeing as she wasn't...quiiiite late (in fact, she was more on time than a wizard could ever hope to be), it was quite easy to get her to calm herself.
Though, having her order whatever she wanted could only lead to one thing. Burger. Other than that, the Keramon heard Toki out, in that this group's intent was to promote two things. Hope, and goodwill.
Both vital things in the times that they lived in, really. Hope for those within the Digital World that the future would be better, and goodwill for those in the other world. That they would remain safe.
...
That was how Mae viewed it, at least.
"Mmm...I'm known by many names, but most call me Mae. I work up in Luminas as an apprentice to a Rasielmon named Seer, but before that I was a wandering vagabond with a knack for finding and getting people out of trouble. I know a few of you already..." She looked to Toki and Denryu (and Angel too) at that. "But rest assured, I...likely have seen the rest of you in visions before. It is nice to meet you two, regardless, and I hope we can help bring some good to the worlds."
What an amazing start.

Everyone here was so much older than him. The humans, at least. It was always hard to tell a digimon's age just by looking. David had sort of just assumed he would have to put himself out and plead his case, prove how useful he could be. Yet instead, Toki just accepted the young boy with metaphorical open arms. David's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Yeah! We did it." David couldn't contain his enthusiasm. he gave Ziggy, still on his head, a light high five and bounced around a bit.
Ziggy hopped down onto a nearby table, not particularly wanting to try and hold onto his partner in this state. "So I guess now we just wait for other people to show up?"
They did not have to wait long, as several others began to show up. Prospective members. Recurring members. Old members. Young members. Tamers like David. Digimon without partners. And something called a Xros General, whatever that is. So many people of so many different types just reinforced the idea that David was doing the right thing. Everyone is searching for a world where they belong. A place of light, free of falsehood.

Lise and Ark noticed another arrival. Lise almost gasped, but held her surprise at seeing the Keramon. So far this was the most alien-looking digimon she had yet seen, but of course, she didn't want to make them feel bad.
Ark of course didn't mind, realizing the Keramon was obviously very civilized and he was used to digimon like them. "Heya, Mae." he said, cheerfully.
Lise then noted that Toki was getting a little nervous. She simply gave an encouraging smile at him, as she would to any of her students that were faltering during one of their presentations. While it was clear Toki was an adult, he was still obviously younger than her. She didn't want to add any pressure to him.
Toki then spoke further, hoping she had enjoyed her visit to the digital world so far. "Ah, yes, it's been absolutely fascinating." she said, unable to put a stopper on her excitement. "And here I was thinking I was well travelled in the human world, and now I find there's a whole new world to explore. I really look forward to seeing what's here."
With introductions mostly settled, Lise and Ark sat down and listened to Toki's introduction to the "Moonstone Travelers". Almost at once, Lise felt the need to ask questions, but she would of course wait her turn. Spirit users... Tsusagimon... sacrifice. She could tell that it was emotionally tolling on him to reveal this. But she admired how he was able to continue onward.
Then Aylin introduced herself as Tsusagimon's daughter. It was clear she was barely holding up as well. So far, Lise had already learned that digimon could rear children, so this wasn't surprising to her. And it was clear that their families were often as close as that of humans. Her only examples so far were Luke and Bellamy, who had been very close as twin brothers even before she knew they were digimon. And she was eager to find out more.
Lise and Ark then turned their attention to Denryu, who seemed to be something known as an "Xros General", who had multiple partners. And from the way he conducted himself, he seemed very experienced in the ways of the digital world. She hoped this would be of assistance for Ark and herself in finding their way forward.
As she and Ark greeted the remaining members here, she turned to Toki. "So then, what's the first thing on the itinerary?" she asked, curiously.

The how...that was the main question Angel had for Toki in regards to reaching their goals. A fair one, to be sure and one that had a lot of possible answers. He thought about it for a moment before he spoke "Well with everything going on with the Digital World as of late, a lot of settlements and cities are worried and have their own issues to deal with as they recover. I plan on us visiting places like Rosewood, Whitewater, Terminus, and others to see what kind of help the need and assist them with their problems however we can." It was a simple start, but it could open up new avenues depending on how things turn out.
"As for relations with the Human World...well I think easing any past mistrust or misconceptions, us just helping out could be a good first step in that regard. Answer any questions they may have about us, that sort of thing."
He smiled at Mae and nodded at her "It's great to have you alongside us. Your abilities will definitely be invaluable going forward. Even having a slight hint on situations ahead could be a serious game changer. But for now let's not worry about that. Relax, enjoy the company. You'll always have a place with us." He said to her.
David's enthusiasm was nice to see. They had spirit and energy to spare, that's for sure. "If you need any help with anything David, there are plenty of people around to offer advice. Welcome to the team."
Toki nodded at Lise as she explained her excitement at exploring the Digital World. Her experiences have been pretty positive, it seemed. "I'm glad it's been treating you well so far! There's a lot to take in, that's for sure." He said as he started writing down everyone's orders for food and drink if they had any. "It can be...uncomfortably common for humans who aren't in the know of things to see Digimon as nothing but unknown creatures that cause havoc...but with even just a small interaction one can realize they're not that different from us at the end of the day."
When Lise asked what was first, he took out his Digivice "First thing's first, let's get you all synced with the monastery's portal coordinates so you can all come and go as you wish." He said as he started the sync process. Everyone would get some kind of notification for the portal coordinates "Honestly there isn't too much of a plan at the moment. It's...honestly amazing so many people are already involved."
Aylin smiled softly at Toki "Well a lot of people have heard of what you've done...and you're a nice person, so I personally think it makes sense that people want to support what we're doing." She said before addressing the others "Toki and I know this isn't going to be easy...but it's why we have to. So, thank you all for wanting to be a part of this."

Was that all there was to it?
For Angel, the roughhouse that she was, even such a task like that seemed somewhat daunting. The Renamon knew that Denryu and Toki were capable enough, but this was about brokering deals with the cities - even the main cities! For someone who had worked so long in the shadows, the prospect of negotiating them seemed pretty daunting, so she couldn't help but seem somewhat skeptical of the idea. But before she could speak up, Denryu would rest a hand on the fox's shoulder.
And that gesture alone seemed to help calm the fox's nerves.
"... Right. Right!" Sheesh, what had she to worry about? Between Toki and Denryu, this group had the right amount of clout to pull something like this off - it was just a matter of finding the opportunity. That said, Angel wasn't much for the 'big crowds', a small wave given to Mae and Lise as they introduced themselves. As the coordinates for the portal were given, Denryu copied the signal to his D-Terminal - and pulled up a small map of the area.
"To think I assumed the worst about that place when I first saw it..." The general gave a sigh, as Angel nodded towards Aylin.
"Probably one of the few I know who could stand to be a bit less of a goodie-two-shoes, if you ask me..." The fox stifled a chuckle.

"So the first thing on the agenda is to make an agenda?" This group truly was at square zero. But that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Making a plan first, then recruiting the first members might spark some discord. Doing things the other way around meant that everyone could have their say in the groundwork.
"I don't know the details, but there are probably a lot of places that need help after all the Demon Lord stuff that happened." Ziggy had heard of the Demon Lords appearance back when he was still a Tokomon, and did his damndest to keep David from knowing anything about it until it was over. This unfortunately meant that he didn't have a lot of info himself.
"Demons?" After getting the monastery coordinates, David had been playing with the D-terminal. But that word seemed to catch his ear. "If demons happened, there's probably lots of stuff to do. So we just go around to places and see where needs the most help?" Sounds easy enough to someone who doesn't understand the minutia that would go into those tasks. Everyone is searching for a world where they belong. A place of light, free of falsehood.

After catching her breath, the Keramon nodded towards Ark. "Hakase." She stated, with a respectful dip of the head. It was rare to see an Agumon take up the mantle of a professor, but those that stepped up to the task were more often than not veritable mines of knowledge.
For the Keramon that could see nearly anything yet not know everything, that was something that she found she respected. A lot.
There was much that Mae found she could agree with here right now. With the myriad issues cropping up allover the Digital World, every settlement seemed to have their hands full with one thing or another.
Sure, she could relax right now, but it was a pressing matter... "That...actually means a bit more than you might think it does. Thank you. I'll give every bit of help that I can, in return." She stated towards Toki. Not many knew of her origins, but this Keramon came from a background of vagrancy and hiding. Being told you always will have a place with a group was quite comforting.
When it came to the monastery, though, Mae just got a notification on her D-Terminal with the coordinates needed. Then again...She knew where it was. "There's no better use for that monastery that I can think of." She noted. "So, the plan is 'do your best wherever you can,' then? Because...I can get behind that."
Clarification might be needed. She glanced to David and Ziggy. "That I can corroborate. The wake of the Lords' resurgence in activity has been a mess, so it's good things have calmed for the moment. But that doesn't change the fact there's some work to be done. Of course...It might work to go at things together rather than alone..."
