”Hmm. If that’s the case well… I’ll still have to be careful with this form.”
Silver looked to the general and blinked slowly; hearing all of that made him wonder how the world would react to a smith of all things holding a small fragment of a sovereigns power. He’d close his eyes and exhale slowly.
”I can’t hide forever unfortunately and it’s inevitable that I’d have a target on my back. It’s a matter of knowing how to deal with that target and make it even more of a threat to go after it.”
Silver watched Demon go and frowned slowly; if he couldn’t revert there was no reason they should expect this to be his floor. He’d grit his teeth a bit at the idea of practicing further in this form. If it was to be what he was stuck in… Yes he should learn it more.
”Practice then is a must; so far I’ve only figured out the basics of this form and not all of them are easy to sort. I was more used to holy energy so all this electricity is hard to get a grasp on. Not making excuses more just. It’s better you know than not.”
Silver tilted his head; staring at the man. He wanted to ask about how he was understanding him but another topic quickly took head. He wanted the dragon to continue assisting the gracenovamon? He’d give a nod and then hearing that they should also find their own solution… Well.
The dragon rumbled and would lay his head on the ground. He looked thoughtful; what sort of things could he do to help… He’d perk his head and look to the General.
”Electricity. The gracenovamon had me funneling it into different devices, what if I were to find a place I could help power? Or kickstart something massive? Sometimes generators need a kick to start up...”
Silver looked somewhat hopeful; he didn’t expect there to be anything large enough for him to kickstart that would immediately solve his problem but… There was always the hope!

"If your concern is using elements outside of your comfort zone, then you're in the right crowd. Angel is an arcane-type and Demon is a dark-type - both have learned how to harness electricity, and several elements outside of their 'core specialty'."
Such was the way of Xros Digimon, especially done in such an 'additive' fashion as this particular team. Every form was carefully crafted, and every member carefully considered, to put together the most effective team possible without creating too many troubling conflicts. But that was neither here nor there:
"Powering a generator might help in the short-term, but if you were to use your form in such a manner - being the central form of power for an area - that would, by definition, draw attention to yourself. It may not be a bad plan, but you have to weigh the risks against the costs. If it is something you want me to look into, then I will see what I can come up with. For now..."
The General would give a small half-bow, and excuse himself. And as soon as Denryu turned the corner, Angel would step on out, stretching her arms and cracking her back. "Honestly, I thought I wouldn't get used to you like this, but I guess even this is easy enough to get used to. Though I would say your earlier form's a touch easier to mesh with." She gave a chuckle, shaking her head, holding up a thick brush in her right hand.
"You might not realize it, but you look like a f---ing mess, being out in the wind for that long."

”Just a bit. It handles far differently than what I’m used to so I’m just a bit worried I’m doing things wrong even after speaking with your partners.”
Silver furrowed his brow as he considered this fact; they were varied mons and were able to do all this because of the way their data was structured. He didn’t know all that they were capable of. Save for one such level that he had fought against back when he was still a spirit. Well maybe fought against was the wrong word…
Hearing the pros and cons of doing something like being a generator the ancient_anubismon sighed. Well there was another thing he could do; but it would draw attention to himself even if he stepped into the area that it was. The human world had that entire DATS nonsense going on with their strange limitation devices. If he was to step into japan wouldn’t it just lower his level down or something?
”I’d say look into it, and if you have any ideas of your own I’d be glad to hear them. Thank you.”
Then again there was the issue of calling attention to himself for the brief moment and if he was forced down wouldn’t he just jump back up? He’d nod his head to the general and watch them go; there was an odd look on his face for all of a split second before angel stepped around the corner.
”[/b]Just a touch yeah… It’s frustrating that I’m stuck like this and I really hope that sometime soon I can return to well.. ‘Normal’. And yeah; we did mesh a bit well when I was in the other form didn’t we?[/b]”[/color]
He’d share that chuckle and with a tired sigh he could figure that she was right. He had been adventuring around for the gracenovamon; doing her work and figuring out what best charges were to release where without changing all too much.
”I figured as much; but is it bad I was looking forward to you and that brush?”
The dragon chuckled a bit, his tail curling around to pull the renamon towards him. Pushing up his head against hers for a few long moments. They had only been apart for a week or so but… The dragon had missed her quite a bit. He had other questions but one was currently the most 'pressing' on his mind.
”After a few days I have to go to the new smithy… would you care to join me?”

For now, the General and the dragon would be in agreement, even if the ideas were rough. Denryu would look into the generator issue, while Silver would work with the rest of the team, as well as with GraceNovamon, to try and get a better handle of both his form and his element.
The General would leave him to it, returning a nod to that last request. The rest of the 'business' talk could wait until the details were sorted - now it was time for Angel to spend some time with the mega. She'd lean her head right up to his, stepping further in as that tail escorted her further, letting a claw briefly stroke down the side of his neck. "At this point, I'd be more shocked if you weren't looking forward to this." She'd smirk, and would soon move off to the side, beginning to brush and straighten out that windswept fur. Her ear flicked, and Angel would give a shrug.
"If I'm free. Though if you know how this place works right now, we either have nothing going on, or we get busy right out of the blue. Honestly, you're the biggest 'project' that we've had in a long while..." To that end, Angel gave a sigh. "I know this started off on rough terms, but other groups would have done a lot worse than we did, once they learned just what kind of power you had in there. Better that we're looking around for answers rather than having these consequences pop up without context, but... well."
She sighed.
"I do wish we coulda started off on a better foot."

Silver didn’t really have much else to say to the general on this point; they’d just have to work on things together and that was that! The dragon shifted in his ‘seat’ keeping his head against angels. Exhaling softly as he could feel her fur against his. He really had missed her during that week; it was kind of strange really. When he wasn’t around her stuff just felt off.
”Well it’s not like i can get every spot… but you’d be right. I do look forward to it.”
He got to spend time with her and it felt rather nice getting his fur taken care of. He’d gingerly run a hand through her fur, even teasing down her back with a long finger. He’d tilt his head as she spoke up though. If she was free she’d be up for it. He’d nod his head at the first part.
”I know how it can be, quiet and then all of a sudden there’s a thousand things knocking at your door.”
He’d flick an ear and one of them rotated so that she was the focus point. She did have a point; he could imagine how each city would have handled this. Not to mention all the factions within each city. The idea of him being in the hands of some of the more violent groups made him shiver. But he’d pause a bit at that last bit. His eyes gained a softness and both of his hands came down to gently cup either of her cheeks.
He’d lean down to hold his head against hers, his ears flicking as he seemed to want to say something but after a bit he’d let her go. Sighing softly along with her.
”What’s done is done. You all did what you had to do to protect yourselves… Unless you’re meaning this.”
Silver gestured to the two of them and if the renamon didn’t object he’d pull her close for a bit. Hugging her to him as to try to relax with the both of them. She’d easily notice that he wasn’t nervous like all the other times. He wasn’t really worried. They had their privacy and at this point he was sure that the others knew to let them be if they were together.
”Angel. I…”

"Oh, please. If that man was at all worried about his own preservation, we wouldn't be taking such drastic risks to begin with."
Angel was not about to paint this entire situation as a selfish one. After all, normal circumstances wouldn't have led to the group dragging Silver out of his home and into their lives, nor would it have resulted in them drawing out Azulongmon's power. Really, Silver hardly had an idea of what this could mean in the long run - and neither did Metal Drive. The Renamon knew this well, and as she was held close, the fox would give a sigh, dragging her claw across the dragon's neck.
It felt comfortable, to say the least. Feeling that caring claw across her back, those nails dragging down against her fur... well, here, it felt right. With a neutral expression, she'd press the top of her head against his muzzle. And just when he was about to say something at the end, starting with her name, Angel raised a hand...
... And gave the mega dragon a gentle flick, right at the center of his nose.
"If you know ANYTHING about me at this point, its that I'm not the sappy or slow type, hun." The fox gave a grin. "Say what you want. But I get it even if you don't say it."

”You have a point there, sometimes I worry about you lot with all that you’ve done to try to help me.”
The dragon snorted a bit and shook his head; he didn’t know everything that was lain on the table. He didn’t know what he wanted from all this; just that this power was a gift that he didn’t want to squander and if anything he wanted to use it to forge a brighter and better tomorrow. For everyone he could. But there was a selfishness that wanted her to be in his brighter tommorow.
A soft growl and he’d find both of his hands trailing along her back, one hand gripping at her rather possessively. He’d keep her close and while he was trying to say something he felt her flick the center of his nose, making him go crosseyed. The other was right; he did know that she wasn’t the sappy or slow type. But that didn’t stop him from talking.
”I know that. But.”
Silver sighed; he needed to get this sort of stuff off his chest. He did indeed enjoy her presence and her being around made it easier for him to relax and think. He’d close his eyes and huff a bit, dragging her closer against him.
”I know before that we said that we wouldn’t talk about this. But I did a little thinking while I was away and well. I don’t want to be away from you and If I can help it I don’t want you to be away from me either.”
He’d tap at her chest with a long finger, staring down at her. His tail flicking a few times before he’d sigh again. She knew what he was saying; she really did. But that didn’t stop him from saying it. Or saying what he felt, what he desired, wanted and ultimately she was something that he needed. But the question inside of him was if she wanted, desired or needed him like he did of her?
”I want to forge us a pair of rings when I’m at the smithy. When you come there I want to give you yours.”

... Wait, what was happening here?
Angel felt it first with that 'possessive' hand as she was held close. Feeling her nails grip a bit around the mega's neck, the fox's ear gave a flick as Silver continued to speak. And he spoke directly about what Angel wanted to avoid: that of commitment. That of longing, of wanting to be with the other. That thought alone brought a small blush to the fox's cheek, and when Silver got to the end of it, about wanting to forge rings to demonstrate their bond?
Angel was at a loss for words... but not for actions. She found her claw tensing up at the side of the dragon's neck, gripping into his fur. He'd see her eyes immediately dart away from his own, a tired sigh escaping the Renamon's throat as she felt those words weigh over her.
"... God damn it, Silver. What do you even know about us, really?"
Those words hung in the air, and slowly, the fox would push herself away. "You might think you want to be in with the lot of us. And don't get me wrong - I like you, Silver. But working for the General doesn't leave room for that sort of life - not for me."
Those words, at least that last sentence? It sounded like Angel truly believed that. "Whatever 'life' you think the two of us could make together is probably a fantasy."

Silver felt those nails grip into his neck, he’d let out a small huff and flicked his ears as he herald that sigh. The flicking eyes made his core ache and his grip lessened a little bit. She didn’t want this. He could tell. He’d shake his head and then settle his head against hers. He didn’t need her to look at him.
”I know that you all are in way over your head but are trying to make the best of it. Fighting the world and trying to do the right thing even if it means you need to do the wrong thing.”
He’d let her push herself away, not pulling her to him or against him. He’d flick his ears and shake his head slowly as she said that second bit.
”I don’t want to be in the same lot as you do, I don’t want to lead the same life. But that isn’t why I want to help, or be a resource. Or whatever it is that you all have planned for me. The sort of life I want to lead isn’t one of fantasy. It’s of moments I’ll be able to have.”
He’d grumble a bit and drum his fingers on the earth. Staring at the sand and laying his ears flat. The sort of life he wanted? He wanted to smith. He wanted to work on things for the world; making it safe through a long leg of it all. He’d want to be there and be some place she could at least relax or forget herself for a little bit.
”The sort of life I wanted was a simple one. Always has been until I met you. But what I want of this, of us is the moments we can share. I’m not asking you to get away from all this, to stop what you’re doing or stop your work for the general. What I’m asking you is to be with me. To keep having these moments as long as we can.”
He understood if she didn’t want to commit to it, he understood if him asking all this or answering all this would just push her away. He’d sigh softly and look up to her. Feeling tired.
”But if you don’t want to go that far still I understand.”

"Tch."
That was easy for Silver to say - but to put it into practice was an entirely different thing. She had complete faith in Denryu, and saw the 'good' that ultimately resulted from her General's plan, but there was a lot that weighed down the Renamon's mind. Between Luminas' raid on their base, Azulongmon's anger roaring across the desert, and always having to take a look over their shoulder to make sure that no-one was there to try and hold the team accountable for their actions?
It was no surprise that Angel would prefer to distance herself. Her ear flicked as Silver gave his explanation, of how he wanted to live in the moment. It took Angel a moment, but with a sigh, she'd finally give her answer.
"I'll break your heart. Or you'll break mine."
Her words were calm, Angel looking over her shoulder, her sharp eyes piercing right into the dragon's gaze. "The time may come without warning where we'll have to part ways. This base might vanish from the face of the planet, and we may be forced further into hiding. If what you really want is anything 'steady', then save yourself this talk, because its never going to be possible. But."
Angel turned.
"If you're talking about the moment? Then I can respect that. We can hold tight what we have, right now, and squeeze this orange for all its worth. But that's all I can ever offer you, Silver."

Silver sat there, knowing what he was holding onto. The little bit of love that he was able to get from this. The enjoyment of having someone to share time with even as fleeting as it was. He didn’t have grand adventures like them, he didn’t have anything like they did. He barely understood them and their goals truly.
But he earnestly believed that they could do something like this. Hearing that first line silver would simply let her talk. Her eyes meeting his again; having to part without warning would hurt. The base vanishing would feel strange or the fact they were forced deeper into hiding.
Did he want something steady?
He couldn’t honestly know the answer to that, he couldn’t assume anything with it. No one had ever approached him and… the thought of it was strange to him. Being together with angel was not. He’d frown slightly and look to the ground; mulling over what she said. They could hold tight; squeeze it for everything it was worth and part ways not feeling bad if they did have to leave.
”Then moments it is; but I can’t promise you that I’ll offer this again.”
If it was a sore topic with her he didn’t want to scare her away; but if she brought it to him. If she wanted it he would accept it. But he understood where they were; what they were doing and the dragon would lay his head on the sands.
”We’ll see what tomorrow brings.”
The mon hummed a little bit and curled his tail in such a way so that he could at least prop up his head on something. He was exhausted but the form itself didn’t waiver. He simply stared at angel for a few long moments.
”If any of that happens, I’ll understand. But until then… I’ll be glad to share these moments with you.”
Silver closed his eyes, thinking to himself for a few moments. If he opened them again and she was gone he’d keep what he was going to say to himself. But if she remained? He had one last thing to say.
”I used to think a lot about ‘someday’ or the future. But after being a spirit for so long it’s hard to even know what path I have anymore. Every day feels stranger than the last and I worry for what’s to come.”

Angel was surprised. She didn't have the heart to outright turn Silver away.
Even as he was now. Even as one-sided as the Renamon saw his relationship with Azulongmon's chosen, there was still a 'something' that she felt, something that she didn't honestly know how to explain, that kept her in the same room as him. As she turned her head away, the fox remained standing, carefully listening to the dragon's words.
The moment was fine. They would see what tomorrow brought them, and take it one day at a time. When Silver opened his eyes again? He'd find that the fox was still there, her hands clenched into fists, gritting her teeth as she tried to compose herself. "You worry about what's coming next, and you're still trying to keep me close? Forget the base, forget Metal Drive for a second. You have a mass of almost-sentient electrical data floating around in your core."
"Tomorrow, you might not be yourself at all."
Those words came through clenched teeth. And in the next moment, the Renamon would turn. Step right back up to Silver. And throw her arms around his neck, clasping her claws right against the dragon's fur.
"That's why. I'm afraid it'll hurt if I let myself get too close."

Silver sat there, looking to the ground. Unsure of what to really say to angel at this point. He could tell that she had put a lot of thought into this and that this wasn’t made idly. His head tilted to one side and he’d stare at them. He had a mass of almost sentient electrical data floating in his core. He might not even be himself tomorrow. That scared her and the Ancient_Anubismon sighed. Looking back to the ground he wanted to say something but words just weren’t coming.
Then he’d feel those arms around his neck and the claws clasping to his fur. He’d slowly and gently wrap his arms around her and gingerly hug her against him. He sighed softly and would rest his head down against hers. Keeping her close as long as he could.
”I won’t lie to you and say that that thought never crossed my mind. But I think that the more I work with this, the more potential to work this energy out I’ll get.”
He accepted her fears and her worries, understanding where they were coming from. He didn’t try to soften the blow of what she said and with a small smile he’d pull back. Running a hand through her fur.
”I think we’re both scared of that. Of being hurt if we get to close; but we’re dealing with it in different ways. Tommorow I’m still going to be heading to the smithy and my offer to join me for as long as you wish still remains. After all what is a smith without their assistant?”
A small chuckle and the dragon would shift so that he was more comfortable; if angel wanted to rest with him she could but the dragon was exhausted. He could feel his energy reaching an all time low. But still his body refused to de-digivolve.
”Tomorrow is another day; one we’ll worry about when it gets here. For now? Just stay with me… please?”
