Skills/Talents:
Artificer
Being able to spit magma or breathe fire has its perks when you’re bored or looking for work. Avalon’s family trades many homemade items ranging from pottery (albeit very large items), smithing, metallurgy, lava rock architecture, and even pyrography. On some occasions they even delve into architecture. There is a certain pride in being able to create with one’s own hands, and these skills and sense of self fulfillment are things that Avalon has lovingly nurtured.
Prehensile Tail
The lack of traditional hands has driven Avalon to learn how to manipulate her tail more precisely. At higher levels her longer tail adapts and responds even better than before.
Hot Blooded
Heat is a part of life for a dragon like Avalon. She remains unfazed by heat that would be inhospitable to humans. The higher the temperature the better in her opinion. Lower temperatures tend to slow her down, but through raising her body heat she can become moderately comfortable.
Tangible Concentration
An artisan’s focus is an extension of their will and passion. For the digimon in Avalon’s family they’ve learned to harness that fixation into an incorporeal force, allowing them to delicately handle objects without the need for touching them and risk breaking things with their draconic claws. This ability has been called telekinesis by outsiders, but Avalon still refers to it as a skill honed through passion, and is a mark of pride among her family. Due to the amount of concentration required, this talent cannot be used in combat.
Inventory:
Treasure Hoard
A seemingly random assortment of shiny and metallic objects scavenged by Avalon during her travels. The items are stored in her personal inventory after being digitized. Most metals are eventually melted into ingots later for her craftwork, and almost everything will eventually find a place of honor in her treasure pile back home. Metal objects from the human world are especially sought after by this enthusiastic dragon.
Ebony Ring
A strange ring Avalon traded for in Rustport. Its mysterious black metal intrigues her, as does the runes that have been scratched out on its outer facing. She keeps it as a good luck charm believing it will lead to more exotic treasures someday.
Personality:
True Neutral
Avalon likes to use smithing as a metaphor for her perspective on morality. The metal that she uses to create a weapon has no leaning towards good and evil, and every tool has its place and time within the process of smithing. From the violent strikes of a hammer, to the warm and inviting glow of heated alloys. A sword doesn’t concern itself with abstract alignments, and even the beating of a hammer strengthens the weapon as it endures those blows. The perceived good and bad occurrences create a product of beauty in the end. It’s an overzealous intention that tarnishes this process of art. Bloodlust, wanton greed, holy conviction, eager justice. These are things that ruin the smithing of what could be works of art.
To put it bluntly, Avalon is only concerned with what she can see in front of her, and will only resort to real violence if she feels it’s pragmatic. She is not an uncaring individual, but also believes that everyone is responsible for their own happiness and well being. She will treat others with the courtesy that’s given to her, and if that involves a violent reaction on her part, so be it. After that unpleasant moment has passed Avalon will distance herself from it to find her center once more.

Decisive
There’s little sense in waffling over options, even when there might be more than one good choice at hand. Time waits for no one, and neither does Avalon wait for those who think life will stand idle for them as they hesitate. Choices must be made, and although mistakes are inevitable Avalon is happy to brag that her life is ruled by her own decisions.
Enterprising
Opportunity is hard to come by naturally in the Western Flatlands. Scavenging and foraging almost become necessities outside of Rustport. This has made Avalon always on the alert for favorable circumstances even if she has no immediate need. Taking the initiative before a problem happens later makes sense to her practical mindset.
Obsessive
It’s an understatement to say Avalon can get a bad case of tunnel vision when it comes to certain things. She doesn’t like to be disturbed during her artistry for one, and if she sees something she wants this dragon will be blunt about her desires. If backing an ideal it would take a very convincing debate for her to concede, and even then she may only do so begrudgingly.
Prideful
It’s one thing to know and accept your own flaws, but it’s another thing entirely to love yourself in spite of those imperfections. Even though Avalon is not a paragon of anything (yet), she still takes a tremendous amount of pride in her craftsmanship as well as herself. Even as others point out her failings she’s quick to brush the matter aside, boasting that she’ll improve herself and overcome them in due time. Choosing to stagnate or worse, regress, is abhorrent to this dragon, and she believes she will only propel herself to even greater heights as life continues.
Personal History:
“Life is what you make it,” at least according to some humans, anyways.
It’s a saying that Avalon’s small tribe of a family have taken to heart nonetheless. As artisans, every day is a new experience to create, a new opportunity to discover. The dragon digimon of the Molten Claws tribe live in a volcanically active island in the Spears of Megiddo, separate from their cousins in the Valley of Dragons if only to avoid violence with outsiders. Most of the clan’s members are artists of different forms, and they use their creations to do trade with other communities in the Western Flatlands. Admittedly, most of the tribe’s art involves fire or lava somewhere during the creative process, but they are elements the Molten Claws have mastered well, hence their name.
Avalon’s upbringing was no different, and although she’s advanced from finger painting with magma she’s still searching for her place and calling within the diverse world of art. A dragon finding their muse is a rite of passage in her tribe, very much akin to a coming of age moment. Eager to advance her skills and her standing among her family, Avalon makes frequent trips outside of the Spears of Megiddo acting as a courier for the Molten Claws. As a dragon herself she’s started to hoard her own pile of treasures from her adventures, although they are rudimentary in value and variety so far.
