The heat of the desert today was nearly unbearable, or at least Shi assumed because the EV suit he had kept him from feeling the heat, Yuudai and Yasuo seemed fine but they were used to heat like this, firing balls of flame that were much hotter then this. Shi was sitting on top of Yuudai who had evolved into Greymon and was walking much faster then they'd usually being going on foot or in rookie form. Yasuo was close behind as GeoGreymon. Usually going to the ancient ruins wasn't something Shi would usually want to do but a short while before he saw a massive fireball going upward towards the sky near this area, to him it look as if it was an SOS flare or something similar. Regardless if it was or not it still warranted investigation and he wasn't doing anything in particular at the moment so Yuudai and Yasuo convinced him to go check it out, just in case it was a tamer or digimon in danger or something. Going through the broken city the trio managed to find their way to the large ruin, still standing tall since the last time Shi was here.
Jumping off Greymon it was obvious that something had happened here, there was bits of broken ruin casted off nearby, burnt slightly. The sand had a few items scattered around, a green scrap of cloth. A small gold watch and... A digivice. On the ground dropped next to a D-terminal in the middle of a message, not good. Walking over Shi picked the item up, inspecting the message was just the location of the ruins with the words "He" on it. Obviously help but the user never got the chance to enter it. Looking up there were a few cuts on the entrance to the ruin, like someone had tried to stop themselves from being pulled in. "Not good, not good in the slightest." whoever this digivice belonged to was obviously in some sort of danger, Shi wanted to act fast but he had no idea the danger that might be involved, even with the ability of a Super Mega he had to play this a bit cautiously.
"What are we waiting for let's go!" Yuudai demanded as he degenerated back into Agumon. "Hold on Yuudai, gotta think this through, Can't afford to rush this. If we get hurt that's game over for them as well." Yasuo was right but Yuudai did have a point, could they afford to sit around and wait? Surely Shi wasn't the only one who saw that fireball. Maybe someone else would be on their way as well...

Here Stacy was in the Western Flatlands again. Though she had an EV suit she wasn't wearing it since heat rarely bothered her. She was riding her motorcycle through the desert, the hover pads proving useful in keeping her from getting stuck in the sand itself. Things were peaceful enough until she squinted and caught sight of what appeared to be a distress flare.
Stopping her bike she hopped off it and dug her D-Tector out of her left pocket. She had a feeling that things would soon be too hot, so to speak, for her human form. Fractal coding appeared on her right hand and she ran it over the top of her D-Tector as she said "Execute! Human Spirit Evolution!" She became enveloped in light as the transformation begun. As the light faded a wolf howl was heard indicating the end of her digivolution as she then said "Blitzwolfmon!"
Now, as Blitzwolfmon, she hopped back on her motorcycle and sped off in the direction of the flare. With aid from the bike she soon reached some ruins. As she got off the motorcycle she caught the scent of a human and some digimon. Recalling her motorcycle back into her D-Tector, Blitzwolfmon followed the scents she picked up and came upon the owners of the scents. Whatever caused this destruction, it appeared they were long gone. No wait, not quite. She could still smell some unfamiliar scents meaning they probably could be smelt by the digimon nearby. Deciding to say something, she said "It seems even I was too late to help the one who sent the flare and I had a motorcycle."

Rotation of patrols was a common thing in the knights; it was part of the reason they were so effective. Different people noticed different things and handled things in such a way that others in their group wouldn’t. That being said? Silence really hated the god damn heat; none of her forms were good for this except for one or two. And they were such a vastly high level that it’d be less of a patrol and more of a challenge to whomever she passed by. Well except for one form that’s signal was vastly overpowering and could put off a billowing freezing cold. The self same form that her prior iteration worked so hard to attain. The ice trail that she left cracked in the heat, sweltered and melted the moment it was out of her hundred and fifty some foot aura of cold. She was about halfway through her patrol when she noticed that fireball shooting towards the sky. She was a good distance away and it’d take her some time but she knew she had to get there quickly. A fireball like that was definitely a call for help when someone didn’t have the ability to use an SOS signal over that radio. Gritting her teeth the omegashutmon blasted off of the ground and used her freezing bursts to get through the air. Leaving the trek and patrol route she was supposed to take in exchange for checking this out. She’d update her coordinates and direction she was taking for the patrol log if the others decided to look. Had to be careful, right? It’d take her an extra five or so minutes to figure out where exactly the fireball had come from. A ruin mouth yawned open and there seemed to be some individuals around it. One further than the others on a motorcycle and a trio of people; two mons and a tamer. Maybe they were the ones that sent out the flare? She’d stop using flash freeze so consistently and lower herself down to ground level. Just out of range of the others so she didn’t overwhelm them immediately just showing out of the blue! But she still needed to address them; so with the sword at the ready the wolf stepped through the ruins and paused just as her aura of cold likely washed over the trio. Perhaps even the one on the motorcycle would feel it too? Hard to say. ”Saw the fireball from a good bit away. Were you the ones that sent it?”They didn’t look hostile so she doubted this was a trap; but it never hurt to be careful. Her free hand rested on her belt and the sword was held in such a way where she could react quickly if they decided to attack. Not every tamer was friendly and not every mon would be as chatty...

Shi sat with his hand on his hat looking at the ground deciding on what to do, he reached for his D-terminal and was about to ask for assistance when he heard the noise of a motorcycle from behind, looking back Yuudai and Yasuo got in front of him as a digimon on said bike came into the area, seemingly accessing the situation before mentioning that they were too late to do anything. Yuudai nodded a bit sadly. "Yeah we all were, I'm sure they'll probably fine." there wasn't a body and judging by the fact Shi was holding two digivices at the moment the one taken was a human, a tamer to be more specific.
As Yuudai and Yasuo got used to the newcomer it seemed there was another one coming in close, they first sensed strength, then an aura of cold washed over the three, Shi pulled his coat a bit closer. He made sure the EV suit was still working, if he got hit by that wave of cold it must've been a move that digimon could use. "We don't know, whoever might've been taken into that temple." Shi said holding up the digivice, white with a yellow grip. He then pulled out his own digivice, it was noticeably more worn then the other one.
"We were debating on going after them, if they're in trouble, I can't do nothing " Yasuo pointed out and the other two nodded, seemingly used to this whole thing. "Yeah, we actually were just about to send a message for help, then you two showed up. Care to lend a hand?" the Agumon without arm bands gave a toothy smile hoping these two would be good, either way the trio was going.

Okay so her opening statement didn't help matters when she got off her motorcycle but then again tact was something that she never completely mastered. Well what was done was done so she decided to try and not make things worse. As she approached her digimon instincts helped her become aware of another digimon. Sniffing the air she smelled the digimon as it appeared. Another wolf but emitting cold from its body causing Blitzwolfmon to instinctively back up a bit and not just from the cold. This digimon was strong and likely stronger than her beast spirit but maybe the stranger meant no harm.
As Blitzwolfmon listened to the situation at hand she said "I'll be glad to help. I go around helping others in trouble for a living." Looking in the direction of the temple she said "This temple won't likely just have digimon to worry about. There might be some crazy traps to deal with intruders as well." She was drawing on previous experience from when she got her human spirit when she said this.
