Weston felt his stomach drop when Dylan requested that no one say the "D-Word," as he was pressing against the door with something banging on the other side trying to get in. "D-Word, what do you mean by the D-Word? What is going on out there?!"
"Sparkwood-sensei, what's happening!?" A female student asked, her voice absolutely fearful.
"Okay everyone, I want you all to go into the corner of the room farthest away from the door, by the windows," Weston instructed his class before pushing his desk right up to the door, after Dylan got out of the way of course. He would also lock the door, but his main concern was whatever was out there breaking it open by force. Thankfully most of the class listened and headed to the corner, almost all of them affected by fear in some way.
[AEGIS_Johan: We can't, the teacher blocked the only way out, unless you suggest I jump out of a window. He's keeping a VERY close eye on us, too.] [AEGIS_Johan: I think this is a Digital Shift, like that one at the bank. These things came out of a bathroom on the second floor, maybe that's where it is?]
"Need a way out of here..." Johan mumbled to himself. He would then get an idea... during the chaos of everyone shuffling to the corner, Johan would quickly open a window and jump out of it, much to the irony of what he typed before. Why would he do this? Well because he was wearing his hovershoes disguised as school shoes, is why!
After taking off, Johan would fly around the outside of the school, looking for an open window into the hallway. Surely enough he found one, somewhere in the center of the building's wall. He would slowly open it up, taking in just how many Numemon were crawling around. First things first; he had to save his class.
The AEGIS agent flew right above the Numemon swarm, who tried to jump right up towards the Tamer without much success. Finally reaching the outside of his classroom, which had many Numemon trying to force their way in, Johan pulled out his Digivice from his holder, pressing a button to switch into his AEGIS uniform (which included a pair of sunglasses and a facemask that concealed his identity) before summoning his Digimon. "Dokamon, realize!"
The blue robotic Digimon was summoned right by the Numemon swarm. Right when they noticed him, Dokamon was prepared to strike first. "Dokkan Rocket!" Dokamon's rocket fist slammed into the Numemon like a bowling ball does to the pins. Now these Numemon weren't focused on the door; instead they were focused on Dokamon. Dokamon uses "Dokkan Rocket" to not only disperse the Numemon that were trying to break into the classroom, but also to let Digimon-aware people from inside the class know that it was possible to get out now.
Dokkan Rocket: Dokamon's fist shoots out of his arm and flies towards a target, being able to cover at least 20 feet away from Dokamon before flying back to the arm. Cooldown is one post.

Just their luck, both brothers were stuck in the classroom with Numemon trying to burst in. Though not angry at being ignored though it was strange that Sparkwood-Sensei ignored Leroy's brief dash out of the room. Maybe it was because he was trying to keep the class safe and all else was forgotten in the current chaos. Speaking of chaos, Leroy was now standing near Hiroshi as the twins watched Johan leap out the window.
"Leroy, don't you even dare!" Hiroshi exclaimed as he grabbed ahold of his twin's shoulder. To the ordinary human this would be quite the sight considering Hiroshi was disguised as a geeky nerd and was trying to hold back what the others assumed was a more muscular human. Luckily all Leroy did was pull away and turn his gaze to the door. Judging by his posture he was ready just in case the Numemon burst through.
When things got quiet, Hiroshi gazed at the door in confusion. What had just happened?

Dylan had no intention of repeating what exactly the D-word was for many reasons that were probably all obvious. He was not, however, among those who obediently herded themselves into a corner. He was a little too interested in what was happening outside, being (slightly) more informed about it than the others. He stayed by the door window where he could see. He didn't even notice Johan until the boy had just jumped out, much to the shock of the class. "Did he just- what did that 'baka' just do?" Dylan demanded.
The young man dashed from the door window to the outer window, but all he caught sight of in that time was the sole of Johan's shoes. He kept his eyes out for another sight at that boy and didn't realize he was barking up the wrong tree until the clash from the hallway escalated in volume. The confused metalhead had to dash back the door to catch some of the action. Who's this kid think he is? Does he think he's fooling someone? That was in reference to the mask, seeing as he rather gave away the game by keeping the shoes on. Then again, Dylan wasn't sure who else watched Johan jump out the window or fly away like Superman.
The superhero analogy wasn't completely wrong in Dylan's mind given what happened next. Dokamon appeared. "Wait, that's a-!" He didn't mumble the D-word, but his amazement was the same. So that's how that works. Dylan thought he knew how to handle this, then. OK, so if that's how it's supposed to work... Dylan searched for a spot with sufficient empty space - somewhere a pint-sized scalie could occupy. With the class herded together, it wasn't hard. One... two... three... Dylan thrust his digivice away screen-out and said the same incantation Johan had: "Shoutmon, realize!"
It didn't work so well for Dylan as for Johan. His machine remained unresponsive except for its warning beeps. Did he do something wrong? Dylan tried pushing the single button and repeated the attempt. "Shoutmon, realize!" But it was fruitless. Clearly, he didn't understand why it worked for Johan and not for himself, but now he also had a much bigger problem: there he was in the middle of the classroom, shouting some nonsense words at some empty space and looking like an idiot.

"I detect a rather foul odor emanating from these Numemon, Johan," Dokamon commented as his rocket fist returned to him, which was the blue robotic Digimon's way of saying "these things frickin' STINK!"
"I hear you loud and clear," Johan responded, "but you might have to get used to that for a bit longer. There's too many for us to fight by ourselves, with Tadayoshi occupied upstairs! I don't even know how many Tamers go to this school..."
Perhaps I can help you with that.
Johan gasped when he heard that voice in his head, directed only to Johan for now. Psych, is that you?
I can instruct any available Tamers or Digimon in the area of your predicament. I assume you need them to go where the Shift is, in the second floor bathroom, correct?
Yeah, and tell them to get here as soon as possible... Dokamon and I are getting swarmed by these horrible things!
As he floated outside of the school, Psych used his psychic powers to locate a total of five others in the school, four disguised Digimon and one human. They'd have to do for now. Listen closely, Psych would telepathically tell them in a calm yet stern "voice", Your assistance is required. To make this attack stop, you must get to the second floor washrooms of the school. That is where this is originating from. Do not ask questions, as there is no time.
What?! I can't abandon my class, Weston would think to himself, but those two Digimon might need to head out to help if that reached them as well... I'll think of an excuse for the rest of the class if they do go out.

Hiroshi and Leroy picked up the telepathic message even though they weren't sure if Sparkwood-Sensei had as well. They had to get out of the classroom and get where indicated. "Looks like this is going to be one of those days, Leroy. Let's go!" Hiroshi said as he headed for the classroom door.
Despite not enjoying the prospect of meeting the foul smelling horde of Numemon, Leroy smiled before he said "Sounds like your finally talking sense, bro."
Deciding not to respond to Leroy's statement, Hiroshi headed for the classroom door with Leroy close behind. Figuring the disguised Wizardmon would handle things in the classroom, the twins moved the desk from in front of the door and made their way out closing the door behind them. "Eww, I forgot how bad it smells out here." Leroy said covering his nose as his eyes started to water.
"Yeah, it is pretty bad and I think some of the Numemon pooped in the hallway as well." Hiroshi said for once glad his sense of smell was not as sensitive as his twin's.
"All right that's it. Pooping in the hall is going too far when smelling bad is worse enough." Leroy said as he and Hiroshi deactivated their holosuits and made their way toward the mentioned bathroom with Leroy using his microphone to bash their way through Numemon that got in the way. With luck they could solve this without a drawn out battle considering Numemon were still champion level digimon.

"Hey, shut up! No mysterious voice tells me what to do! Capisce?" Through the flood of Numemon in the hallway, it was hard to visually spot the source of that angry shout at the sky. It would take some eagle eyes to spot a splotch of red in the middle of that mess, but he started speaking up to make himself heard better. "Anyway, you, yeah. You seen some human around here? Kinda pale, kinda skinny, looks like an edgelord but acts like a dork? No?" When it couldn't get that particular pile of Numemon's attention, he tried again with another. "'Ey, any of you fellas spotted some kid around here with a girl's hair and a man's guitar? Pretty sure it was a Hellraiser, but it kinda-" It got a little too full in there for the red patch of digimon to keep talking, and so it shut up when it got completely smothered by the green.
"Huh?" Right off the bat, Dylan broke the no-questions rule. He was sort of tempted to break it again by asking who that was, but looking around nobody was acting like anything even happened (besides the obvious). Sparkwood-sensei looked a bit surprised and thoughtful, but that could have been anything. "...Shoutmon?" he quietly wondered aloud, meaning specifically about the possible source of the voice. Did that happen because of Dylan trying to summon him?It was only when those brothers leapt into action that the American boy looked back at them. What is their deal? They'd been behaving strangely for a spell now, and even stranger was their attempt at throwing open the last gate between the class and the flood. "Are you nuts?" Dylan shouted that at them before running to try and stop them, but that desk was gone and the door thrown open before he could work up the stones to intervene. Dylan only followed them as far as the now-shut door before he pounded on it and screamed, "What the hell are you-?" He cut himself off when the holosuits deactivated and the gloves came off. "Wait- Shoutmon?" It was too hard for him to tell with the glance he got before they, too, were blocked from his view by the flood. "That kid was Shoutmon?"
"...no, guys, I know there's a bunch of humans, but this one is-" The red dot in the sea of puke green was getting nowhere with whatever he was up to, and he knew it. "Look at me when I'm talking to you, you actual, literal pieces of crap!" He finally snapped. For a second, all anyone around him could hear was silence. For a second after that red dot's attack it was also impossible to hear anything but silence. It was in between those two periods that it angrily screamed, "ROOOOOOOOOOOOOCK SOOOOOOOOOOOOULLLLL!" at a volume that even a Shoutmon couldn't reach without some sort of amplification. The sound wave was pointed down the hallway toward the classroom, meaning any Numemon - or anything else in that path - was at risk of one heck of an ear splitting. Shoutmon attacked everyone in front of himself with Rock Soul. -Rock Soul: Shoutmon summons his deepest spirit and channels it into a directional scream through his microphone. As soon as the twins had come out of the classroom, they would be met by a flying Numemon that Dokamon had thrown as it just barely missed them by hitting the closed classroom door. Eyeing the two of them, Dokamon simply said, "Now would be a good time to deactivate those holosuits and give us assistance."
"Wait, what?" Johan asked. Before he knew it, the two twins from the classroom deactivated their disguises, revealing the nerdy one to be a scaled Cutemon, and the redheaded thug to be a furry Shoutmon. Johan wanted to ask more questions but a flying pink sludge ball that hit his face ceased any of those questions from being asked. "Oh god that's disgusting..." He groaned as he used his gloved hand to wipe the gunk off.
"There is seemingly no end to them," Dokamon stated as he continued punching any Numemon that came his way. "We need to arrive at-"
Dokamon was almost immediately cut off by a loud sound wave attack that not only damaged everyone in the area - Dokamon, Leroy, Hiroshi and even Johan - but it caused all four to be pushed into the direction that sound wave was heading, including a bunch of Numemon as well. The green slimes clearly did not appreciate having their nonexistent ears be viciously attacked like that, so the entire fleet retreated back where they came from, leaving only four lone Numemon to deal with that decided to not retreat.
"Ow."
"What was that?! I can't hear you!"
"I do not understand. I did not hear you."
"What!?"
"What?" Shoutmon's "Rock Soul" attacked damaged every Numemon in front of Shoutmon, as well as Johan, Dokamon, Leroy and Hiroshi. Way to go.

It seemed Dylan had the worst timing he could possibly have as he walked into the chaos that was the turd throwing Numemon. Using his microphone like a bat, Leroy began knocking the poop away before he yelled his excitement as he began bashing one of the Numemon over the head. Hiroshi was planning to launch an attack of his own when a loud and powerful sound wave headed for them sending Numemon flying. "Ow my ears." Hiroshi said as it seemed it had all he had time to do before the sound hit him.
Leroy, meanwhile, caught sight of the oncoming blast but, like Hiroshi, wasn't able to avoid the attack. It hurt but for Hiroshi it must of being agony since the scaly Cutemon had more sensitive hearing than his twin. Though the after effects of the attack made him unable to hear anything briefly, when he could hear he saw Hiroshi whimpering in pain as he lay on the ground clutching his ears. Leroy glared angrily in the direction the noise came from before his palm began glowing with energy. "Don't worry, Bro, I'll help you. Healing Glow!" Leroy's healing power corrected his twin's blown eardrums and Hiroshi slowly stood up with Leroy covering him.
"Thanks, Leroy. Man my ears are still ringing though. Who did that?" Hiroshi asked as his blue eyes looked in the direction of the attack but it seemed there were Numemon still obscuring there way. This was going to be harder than either brother thought.

Now that some space was made in the hall, Dylan could tell the difference between the Shoutmon he'd seen the other day and the one he hadn't. One was covered in fur - the other was covered in scaled. Neither of them were made of metal. He also recognized the familiar Shoutmon's headphones around his neck in that way of wearing them that was more for style than utility. Most definitely he recognized the odd little creature's voice and his attitude. Now that the flood was just a leak, the others could see this, too.
"Step right up! Step right up! Who else wants some, huh? Where's-" Neither Dylan nor Shoutmon sought eye contact, but as Shoutmon scanned the surroundings it happened incidentally through the window. Both their eyes lit up simultaneously. "Alright, crap stains, you just messed with me on the wrong freakin' day!" Shoutmon proudly announced to the Numemon, "I got a big metal stick, and I got anger management issues, but you dumb slimeballs-" Shoutmon planted his battle mic on the ground in front of himself and started screaming through it. "-you screwed with me on the day I got a big metal stick, anger management issues, and someone I wanna impress." At this point the monster grinned and... sang?
"And I got respect, and I don't neglect, The people that I really care to protect, Am I a failure if I got nothing to lose? No, I'm not afraid of you - I got something to prove!"
At the end of his miniature musical number, the mic of Shoutmon's mic stand began glowing a fierce and bright orange, and it appeared to erratically conjure tiny bolts of lightning that floated around the microphone's crown. It was at this point that Shoutmon pulled the instrument back up out of the floor and swung it upward into the face of the nearest Numemon. Unfortunately, it was a little hard for him to tell friend from foe in this battle except for his Tamer himself. When he was giving his big speech, he was obviously talking to everybody.
Shoutmon used Soul Crusher. -Soul Crusher: Shoutmon sings or screams into his mic to charge it with his rock spirit's energy. It took a little bit before Johan and Dokamon got their hearing back from that sudden sound wave attack. The agent picked himself up to find... two Shoutmons? Was he seeing double now? No, that couldn't be right, the attack didn't mess with his head that much... no, there were definitely two Shoutmons here now, only one had scales and the other had fur.
"Neither of them are the Shoutmon we know, Johan," Dokamon stated, channeling his inner Captain Obvious.
"I can see that, Dokamon... at least that sound wave cleared out most of the Numemon."
"Most, but not all," Dokamon pointed out, referring to the remaining four Numemon that somehow looked even tougher than the others before, despite them just being slime balls. And oh BOY, did each of them look pissed! They'd have to be taken care of before the group was able to go where the Digital Shift entrance was.
However, it was the newcomer scaled Shoutmon that was the first to step forward. He talked as if he had a personal grudge with these Numemon. He planted his microphone in front of him and... started to sing heavy metal? The Numemon didn't seem to care for the song, as towards the end it immediately bolted off to ram right into the Shoutmon. However, it wouldn't be successful as it would get a full face of the charged microphone's attack, dealing extra damage and sliding it down the hallway quiteaways, its companions watching it slide past them in surprise. The other three looked back with slight expressions of fear and panic.
"Dokamon, initiate!"
"Affirmative. Dokadoka Blast!" Dokamon would say before a bright blue blast of electric energy shot out of the cyborg's hands right at the Numemon group, hurting one of them but not doing as much damage as Shoutmon just did. Meanwhile, the other two hopped right towards Leroy and Hiroshi... Shoutmon hits Numemon 1 with his charged microphone, dealing extra damage!

Rage filled Leroy's blue eyes as the one that hurt Hiroshi seemed to be another Shoutmon. "You idiot! Watch what you're doing! I may be reckless at times but I, at least, make sure innocents aren't in the crossfire when I attack!" Leroy roared as his grip tightened around his microphone before he then yelled "For hurting my brother I should cave you empty head in with my microphone."
While Leroy was shouting at the other Shoutmon, Hiroshi watched as most of the remaining Numemon had been dealt with. When the last two Numemon came at Hiroshi and Leroy, the scaly Cutemon known as Hiroshi grabbed ahold of his furry twin's tail with his paws and pulled on it to get Leroy's attention. "Now's not the time, Leroy. We have some clean up to do. Follow my lead." Hiroshi said as a fireball formed in his paw. Seeing the fireball, Leroy nodded and created a fireball in his own hand.
"How about a little heartburn you smelly little shits. Fiery Fastball!" Leroy shouted hurtling the fireball at one of the Numemon.
Hiroshi wound back his arm before he also said "Fiery Fastball!" Hiroshi then heaved his fireball at the other Numemon.

"Feel free to stand where I can see you, bigshot!" Shoutmon growled that without giving Leroy the dignity of eye contact or any other body language to indicate after attention. This wasn't just because of the fracas. After all, Shoutmon's most direct opponent just got batted like a home run. Though it was certainly easy to miss in the chaos, this lack of attention was an intentional sign of disrespect. Shoutmon still wouldn't look at him even as he ran straight in that Shoutmon's general direction with his battlestaff raised. Oh, no, this strike wasn't for Leroy, though. Shoutmon was still content to take his anger out on his seemingly disadvantaged opponent, this time using a downward swing with the commitment to flatten that Numemon like a pancake. "Dylan, get out here, man! We gotta go!"
It wasn't easy for Dylan to step out into that hallway/killbox, but he knew that whoever was fighting against an amorphous pile of goop was probably trustworthy, and that familiar Shoutmon was the most trustworthy of all of them - or tied with the Dokamon at least, who was with the boy that told him to run earlier. So after gulping for some courage and glancing around his class anxiously, he opened and slammed shut the classroom door fast as he could, ending up on the other side of it.
He regretted it.
Shoutmon snagged one of Dylan's hands with his own and started dragging Dylan down the hallway. "Come on, man, these guys got this we're going to the bathroom," explained the lizard, trying to drag his new Tamer away from the battle.
"That's literally the worst idea I've ever heard!" Dylan cried as he resisted Shoutmon's superior strength.
"Well feel free to stay behind with the ones shooting fire and lightning everywhere!"
Dylan stopped resisting. Shoutmon attacked the same Numemon as before with a basic microphone swing. -Rock Soul: Shoutmon summons his deepest spirit and channels it into a directional scream through his microphone. "Might I remind you that we are in a combat scenario and arguing with each other is not ideal if we require to exit the scenario without any significant damage," Dokamon plainly said to the two Shoutmons who were clearly not going to get along anytime soon.
Thankfully the others had managed to pull it together in the end. The new Shoutmon hit the same Numemon he did before, causing it to explode into data. The two Numemon that leapt at Leroy and Hiroshi were each met with a fireball to the face, causing them to both be stopped in their tracks and catch fire. The two Numemon pathetically screamed and ran around in circles before bonking into each other and knocking each other out.
"When not in a large group, Numemon are indeed as pathetic as they seem," Dokamon concluded before charging up his first with energy and giving a good ol' knuckle sandwich to the Numemon he blasted with electricity earlier, causing it to explode into data as well.
Dylan then came out right as the action was wrapping up. Looking right at him, Johan would make his digital mask and glasses disappear, revealing his face. "So your partner is a Shoutmon, huh? I have a friend that has a Shoutmon partner as well. Anyways, we need to get to the bathroom on this floor, that's where the Digital Shift is coming from which is where all these slimeball Digimon are coming from."
"In essence, shutting down the Digital Shift ends the conflict."
If Leroy and Hiroshi were willing to join, the group would head down towards the hallway and to the men's bathroom door. Taking initiative, Johan would be the one to open up the door, revealing... the same hallway they were just in? Only the view from the windows was not a clear blue sky, but a dark blue void with digital particles surrounding the building, definitely proving that this was some sort of pocket dimension. Not only that, but this alternate school hallway was a lot dirtier too, the floors and walls being muckier and the windows either cracked up or broken completely.
"Ugh... this is definitely where Numemon would come out from. Be careful, everyone; the Numemon from before fled into here, and they could all jump out at any second."

Fortunately Leroy heard Dokamon but glared at the other Shoutmon before snorting in annoyance. "That Shoutmon is lucky that there are bigger problems in this school than his incompetence."
"Leroy!" Hiroshi said as he placed a paw on his twin's shoulder in an effort to calm him. Leroy merely grumbled as he glared down the hall.
When he was calmer, Leroy said "Hiroshi, maybe we should get to that bathroom now." At Hiroshi's wary look, Leroy then said "Relax bro, we have more to worry about right now. What if worse than Numemon start flooding this school. Though Numemon are pretty bad."
Leroy had a point but Hiroshi knew strategy and Leroy didn't go well together so it was a matter of time before things became choatic. Following Dokamon, Hiroshi and Leroy took in the appearance of the pocket dimension. When Johan told them to look out for more Numemon, Leroy rolled his eyes and said "I think we can handle these smelly slugs since they haven't shown themselves to be all that dangerous." Hiroshi facepalmed seeing as his brother was feeling overconfident now.
"Sorry about my twin brother. I think the fighting has gone to his head." Hiroshi said to Johan and Dokamon while it seemed Leroy hadn't heard his twin.

Shoutmon did not feel the need to add his own sting in that time. Besides the fact that Leroy was right (about the important things, in Shoutmon's mind, not the incompetence), he'd made his point. "Look, man, I dunno if you can call us 'partners,'" Dylan hedged in response to Johan's observation, "At this point we're more like 'person-and-lizard-I-kinda-met-once-beating-up-a-plant-at-the-time."
"Hey, how's that cactus doing, anyway?"
"Petty well, actually."
"Not overwatering it?"
"Well, no, that girl at the shop said- can we stay on topic, please?" Dylan needed a shake of his head to focus again. "Digital shifts. Right. Makes perfect sense," he lied.
"Let's crack some skulls!" Shoutmon's eagerness was punctuated with a slam from the head of his battlemic into his unarmed hand. The toothy smirk he held was maybe a little too gleeful. "So guys," Dylan addressed the group at a point which he'd thought had turned to awkward silence during their walk, "I'm curious here. I wanna know, if today didn't happen, at exactly what point during the school year you two-" He looked to Hiroshi and Leroy, "-were going to let me know you were body snatchers, and you-" Now it was Johan. "were having the same crazy monster dream that I am." It was clear the boy wasn't at all at home here. His eyes seemed to avoid the eery windows, but when they accidentally rolled over the area they would linger until they passed. When he could, he would look down partly with wonder at the mucky floor but also to try and step in as little of it as possible (a task which proved too tall). "Is that how it works, then? Digimon transform into humans to... well, to do what? And how? You just... like Transformers, where you turn into the first thing you see?"
"Huh-up-up-up-up!" Shoutmon intercepted that question so quickly because he didn't want anyone to answer it before he did. When he thought he got everyone to be quiet and let him talk, he informed the boy, "Yep, that's exactly how it works. Good instincts!" Dylan's deadpan stare gave away that he knew Shoutmon was lying, and he was annoyed that he still felt no more enlightened.
