To make them happy or feel even more confident in themselves. She's what you could call empathetic; if she wasn't all these other things too. Emerald was born like all were.
Mewling. Crying. Scratching at the dust. But unlike many of her ilk... Her parents were there to catch her, there to stop her tears. There to help her claws shine. They were there to guide her and set her upon a path only those of our family may walk.
Emeralds family are those of a large group of guilmon living out of the swamps. Setting through the muck and grime to better the lives of the worlds. To solve questions none asked; and some that none would ever think to tell. We do our jobs diligently and without question. Treating the wicked weeping wounds that many a war have left behind. The gushing and writhing wounds that to this day thankfully haven't festered into something her family cannot treat.
But this type of wound isn't something that digimon on themselves should have to treat, it's something that the digital world has to figure out itself. Has to cope and deal with; our magics are strong, our spirits even stronger. But to that end we are growing tired of our treatments. Not in the way you'd think but... Our spirits only have so much they can do and our bodies only last for so long.
We look for a solution that only the digital world can give. A pure of heart and a gentle soul that can give. We seek those that are above all else. The sovereigns themselves could fix the weeping wounds wars have left behind. But there are many in emerald's family that cannot travel; many that are locked in bonds with spirits. So she is chosen even as young as she is. She is trained in many things by her parents, by her many brothers. The list is long and many.
But like with every list it eventually reaches a point where it matters little. So they told her to travel. Told her to go places and learn the pain of the lands she goes through. So she does exactly that; traveling first to whitewater. Seeing the corruption of the heart within; the greed and those left behind. The soft and under trodden that are barely beyond the surface. Their suffering yielding a great pain to the spirits of the land.
Something that Emerald cannot fix without great effort; another type of weeping wound she has to carry with her. She teaches what she can and does what she can but without great effort as she said... Appearance: To say that Emerald's guilmon form is a step apart from the rest is to do it an injustice. Her form may keep to the same scalebound way that the rest of her kin does. But that's where all comparisons to her ilk stop. Her scales, each one of them have been treated with a fine powder reducing their glare and giving them a somewhat offwhiteish sheen. The bones and plaster that she has made for her form have intergrated themselves into her data, making her have quite a fearsome apperance. A full shawl runs down her spine, draping over each of her sides. Keeping her bones slightly set apart from her scales. The skull of one of her ilk resting just above her own. Her eyes peering through the holes of the deceased. Allowing her to see both the spirits and living as she sees fit.
Upon her arms rest a binding of leather and many a trinket, some for luck and some to ward off spirits. Most of them are made of bone, but there are some that are made of special kinds of rocks. Varying from the locations that she has explored. A long set of these types of charms rest on her head, dangling from that skull and clanking together as she walks. Giving the tell tale sign of her approach. Often more than not she has a large pack on her back; allowing her to carry with her the many sets of alchemy tools or healers bags...

This harshly lowers the targets speed for two posts as they work to overpower this sensation. Deals moderate damage Four post cool down.
We are all guests upon the land: This digimon appeals to the spirits of the land, asking for their forgivness and for their permission to act in the upcoming battle. Given an answer, this digimon or a single ally it has asked for will find themselves blessed in a strange way. Their wounds healing if they are injured and if they aren't injured they'll find that their blows are a little stronger. Two post duration. Three post cooldown.
Huddled in the shadows: This digimon calls upon the spirits of the shadows, asking for them to conceal them or an ally. This allows them to move around the battlefield for two posts under the veil of invisibility. Or as long as they wish outside of combat. Attacking or taking damage breaks the invisibility. Only the sun has stopped|RAM UPGRADE: This digimon casts a nine sided die on the ground, calling to the spirits within her bones. These spirits engorge themselves on the number that has been cast. Regardless of the outcome of the die, they target the nearest enemy within sixty feet. The target may see these spirits approach and may dodge them if they desire. But if struck they feel that overwhelming sense of dread as the sky darkens only to them; as the sun dwindles in their minds eye. Dealing heavy damage to their spirit directly as this curse weighs heavy upon their soul. Three post cooldown.
