Noticing the puzzled look, Makoto would chuckle a little, smiling warmly and patiently. "I suppose I should word myself a little better; to be more accurate, TVs themselves aren't necessarily becoming outdated - it's more that their original use that is becoming outdated." Makoto would clarify, continuing to explain "Most folks used to rely on channels to get the content you're interested in - which, the people running a channel typically decide what plays on it and when, usually in a consistent schedule."
"Nowadays though, most people watch the shows they are interested in directly through streaming services - which let you pick what to watch directly - as opposed to hoping that the show that you want to watch is on." They'd conclude, adding "A lot more control over the things you want to watch, when you want to watch them. I've yet to get around to signing up for any in particular, though."
Nonetheless though, it seemed like TVs were something that Kitt was quite enthused over; prompting a warm laugh. "I'm flattered that you're enjoying my company this much - you've been such a pleasant and darling guest yourself, dear." Makoto spoke, continuing "Once you're ready to leave, I'll write down the maker and model that this particular TV is of for you - it's decent quality, for the pricetag it had." And even if he didn't get this model specifically, they were sure he could look at whatever other models the maker might sell.
With the cinnamon rolls finally cooled off, Kitt would waste no time in munching down - and Makoto was quite happy to see that he approved. "I'm glad you enjoy them - maybe sometime, I could teach you to make some of your own?" They'd suggest with a chuckle - taking a tissue from a box on the coffee table, and using it to wipe Kitt's chin off. "Hold still a second, dear; you got a little bit of frosting dripping down there..."
As things began to calm down though, Kitt would soon move over to Makoto's side - getting cozy, purring happily. The sound brought a warm smile to Makoto's face as they reached down to gently pet the cub - a warm fondness for the child visibly apparent. Such a good kid, such a lovely darling - he'd been wonderful company for the evening, and they were happy to have taken the time to get to know the little cub some. "Of course, dear." They'd murmur back - wrapping their tails around him like a hug. "Get as nice and cozy as you like, and let me know if your shoulder starts acting up at all. I don't mind getting up, to get you some painkillers or a new ice pack."
Even Kuro would be warming up to Kitt; its shadow vaguely visible on one of the spots next to him, as if to try and 'sit' next to him as well.
What a nice little encounter, this had been, for everyone involved...
