”Well I’d agree with you but for cloth my shadows often have a sharp edge, it’s likely that they’d be able to punch through that kind of thing.”
Coal even motioned to one of the tendrils, it offering a sharp point to the wolf so he could see what she was talking about. Light cloth and maybe even weaker levels of leather might have a rough time with it. In comparison to her mother’s ability which could easily cut through steel… Maybe there was just a difference of power there?
Coal looked a little baffled at the idea that garlond was a champion level renamon; she didn’t really understand that sort of thing quite yet and shifted nervously. So there was that to consider in fights, that she might be fighting something she thought was rookie only to learn that they were champion.
”Right. That or the shadows cause they’re too busy concentrating on my legs…”
Hearing that she was going to be focusing on grapples and physical combat; coal paled a little bit. She wasn’t looking forward to that. She was having a better time of the other training because it let her keep her cool from afar but… If iko thought that this was the way they should go well… far be it from her to tell him that they should keep focusing on the other stuff.
”Grapples and close combat… ma would have a field day.”
Coal sighed softly and turned her attention to the dummy, so there wouldn’t be much of a point if she just kept on doing it to physical dummies right? She’d have to try it against people at some point or another. Garlond on the other hand didn’t look too bothered that he would be helping out with this either.
”At least you’ll have two someones roughly around your weight and height to work with…”
Holly shifted her weight; the best way to focus on weak points was to adapt someone to a style and slowly work them through it. To make them ease over that style and their spots. She’d lean to one side; watching her sister take in what she was suggesting.
[colog=goldenrod]”You’re going to be working with my physical attack clones. They’re dumb but they can take a hit like no one’s business. And with training in mind they’ll be more willing to work with someone than if you were an actual enemy. That said; look away for a moment.”[/color]
Holly groaned a bit and stretched, lily sighing as she knew that meant she wouldn’t be around for this. Holly shifted her form in what could only be explained as a particularly blinding swath of light. Until she was in her black furred meicrackmon form. One that amber would have seen only once or twice before as holly had been weening herself from using it all the time.
”They’re rough, there’s three of them and they’ll be the ones that will basically be teaching you good momentum and what not. Training you in such a way that your own reflexes will save you and your instincts will help you overcome your focus problems.”
Snapping her fingers, three nearly identical holly’s appeared. One of them looked a bit more rough than the others and why shouldn’t it? It had taken some pretty nasty fights and compared to the others it was better and more fluent in actual combat that it’s peers. Which would also plant firmly that her clones weren’t just one dump bin and gone; they could learn their own jobs fairly well…
That being said the clone folded it’s arms; it wouldn’t be the first to go. Instead one of the more chipper versions came forward, offering a smile and small wave to amber before taking a fighting stance of it’s own.
”Now this one is going to be where I teach you certain weak points. We’re going to start on the arms and work from there...”

Well, in some respects that was true. But in the case of a purely mechanical opponent, Coal might have a hard time invading their 'armor' with shadows.
Iko didn't lead Coal around by the nose too much on that sort of thing. Even from the start, he preferred if Coal tried to figure out things on her own, only moving to give his advice when asked a question or to help correct a potentially harmful mistake. To use shadows in a fight often meant thinking 'sideways' and using one's head in a fight.
So letting the Renamon exercise her head along with her body was definitely a good idea.
"Hm?" Though, at the thought of grappling, the rarer sense of Coal's uncertainty showed itself right on her face. To that, Iko gave a small chuckle, resting a hand right on her shoulder. "Don't think of it as too much of a surprise. You might be able to fire chains, but shadows are, by design, close-range weapons. In a fight, you'll only ever be 'guaranteed' two shadows: the one under your own feet, and the one underneath your opponent's."
"You can think of it another way: if you're close enough to touch your opponent," he pointed to the ground, the shadow of Iko's arm in direct contact with Coal's own shadow, "then you double the amount of material you have to work with."
With that, he'd take a step back, nodding at the two of them. "I'll set the sports timer. I want you and Garlond to work on your kicks for the next twenty minutes, then we're going to call it a day. Garlond, I'll look through the Rustport file now." 'Look away for a moment'.
Though initially confused, Amber didn't argue with that, her gaze briefly looking away from the Meiphemon - and as the light of Digivolution died down in her periphery, Amber looked back towards her sister. To the black-furred MeiCrackmon. If she didn't know this was Holly, perhaps such a sight would scare her: it definitely looked a lot more menacing and a lot less gentle than her 'other' ultimate form! But the moment Holly's familiar voice came from the beast, Amber's expression returned to neutral.
"... Sounds like I'm going to be put through the ringer quite a bit. Just don't be too rough, alright? I mean... you're two levels above me, sis." Giving a small, nervous chuckle, Amber would look towards the chipper clone, a nod given to the 'real' Holly before she once more faced her opponent. Amber took a stance of her own - but Holly would quickly note that it wasn't a perfect stance. Amber did a few things right, leading with her left foot, but her arms were lowered, claws tensed just above her waist.
... Meaning she was holding her hands closer to a 'casting', long-range position rather than a close-range 'brawling' position. Amber had a lot to learn here.

Coal didn’t look too terribly convinced that she could even do the cloth or leather bits of armor; given that she was still fairly new with this. For now she’d have to work on the weakpoints and the strength of her shadows in base. She had a lot to work on and honestly it’d take more than a few weeks just to get it nailed down. Some actual fights would probably do her some good in the long run.
Hearing his explanation and with that hand on her shoulder she’d glance down to the ground. He had a point; if the both of them were guaranteed shadows well… She had a lot to work with there! Then there was the case of the darkness she was able to create as well as the shadows that came from that if she was smart about it.
”The chains, spear and all that stuff all seem like ranged weapons though… but you have a point with the multiple shadows. I’ll have to think about that some.”
While coal wasn’t as fast as a learner as her older sisters she certainly had a knack for this kind of stuff. Getting it much quicker than most rookies. She wasn’t some paragon or anything like that. She was just a kid that needed to learn how to defend herself. She’d nod her head hearing that he wanted them to work on their kicks and then they’d call it a day.
Garlond on the other hand was stretching, grunting and groaning as he realized he had skipped a very important part of training. He’d be feeling that later no doubt! Hearing iko wanting to go over the rustport file the renamon flicked his wrist and as though by magic it was in his hand. The tablet was specifically for cases regarding rustport.
”Everything you need is in here Sir. The physical documents you need to sign are also in your office; unless you’re in the mood to electronically sign them...”
Garlond shifted back to practicing his kicks and coal wasn’t too far behind… Although she seemed a bit more ponderous given all the information she had to go over. Twenty minutes would come and go like wildfire; garlond would go back to his duties and coal would be panting, her hands on either knee while she was hunched over. Feeling rather tired…
”Kicks take a lot more than what I was expecting… Should I wait for ma to come and pick me up or…?”
Holly stretched her form and that soft smile spread across her face. Sure she looked a lot more intense here but with her sister she was anything but! The meicrackmon shifted and looked towards the two. A ringer? Yeah that sounded about right.
”Don’t worry, they’re mostly here to guide you and have you work on your stance. They’re 1/3rd the strength of me so they should be closer to champion level than actual ultimate.”
The meicrackmon gently thumped the back of one of the other clones, giving her sister a wink. Seeing that stance the meicrackmon blinked and the clone looked actually confused for a moment. It’d stop and then motion to itself, adjusting it’s stance again as to indicate that amber should follow suit. If she didn’t well… It’d move over to her and gently grasp at either of her wrists, adjusting them to the right position and would do the same for her feet!
”Like this. Try now.”
The meicrackmon clones of this level were dumb as a bag of bricks but that was because all they could do was fight. They’d recognize this sort of stuff and without it being a real fight they had more time to process information. Allowing them to act as ‘dumb’ teachers. If amber switched from the brawling to casting stance they’d punish that by having her land on her rear from being able to hit openings she didn’t even know she had!
They’d do this for about an hour before holly would eventually call it off, dismissing her clones with a flick of the wrist…
”Well I got a good look at what needs to be improved… and tomorrow we’ll have something much more suited to the practice you need.”
The meicrackmon snapped her fingers and like that four other holly’s appeared, each one of them grinning and looking somewhat cheerful. They were the passive scout types and without another word they’d hop off of the platform, going about and chattering away at one another to try to get what holly had in mind set up…
”I think we’re good for today sis, do you want to head back? I have something planned for dinner you’ll like!”

"They're getting so big I have to look through digital copies now..."
Iko gave a groan, but nodded appreciatively as he took the pad in hand, and made his way back to the office. The next twenty minutes would pass by quickly - or very, very slowly depending on how used to the training Coal was at this point - and the younger Renamon would definitely be left winded after the effort. As it was, Iko was still busy with the file, so he wasn't there to answer Coal's question.
But a BlackGatomon, waiting in the stands, would hop on down as the timer started to beep! "What, you sure you don't want to go another round, sis?" Syre gave a chuckle, idly holding the portal device in her left hand. "Silence is going to be on her way home in about an hour, so I'm here to pick ya up instead. Gotta say, running Iko's route for the last few weeks has been pretty interesting... eh, never mind." Syre realized she was getting off track, as she opened the portal to Coal's right.
"Looks like you're finally starting to get used to the pace here, though!" Amber, meanwhile?
Yeah, she was put through the wringer. She had a lot of bad, exploitable habits, and a lot of them ended with her back or side in the snow. The clones never seriously hurt her, of course, but it was frustrating to be pushed and held back for so long - and to not even have a chance to use her techniques! Everything in Amber's moveset was too 'grandiose', and with multiple clones, even her few times teleporting were far too easy to track.
Was she thinking it through too much? As the end of the hour came, Amber found herself lying back in the snow, letting the soft ice further chill her aching muscles.
"Ugh..." She stirred at Holly's words, slowly moving to sit up. "Yes... yes, let's go back. Seems I've got a lot to catch up on here..."

Garlond gave a shrug to iko; honestly what could you expect? There was so much going on in the world and with how complicated many locations and their tasks were getting it’d be a surprise if they weren’t using tablets like this.
The next twenty minutes seemed to drag on for eternity; she wasn’t used to kicking at dummies and not having her teacher there; she'd no doubt develop strange habits in kicking at least at first. Though iko had directed her a bit so she did her best to adhere to the examples he set. With the timer going off a little bit later the renamon sighed and flopped backwards, rubbing at her rear. Garlond gave a small bow to syre before heading off; he was unfazed by the training it seemed. But then again just how much of his own had he underwent?
”I mean I could go another round… but I think it’s best to stop when Iko says I should.”
Coal looked to her older sister blinking slowly as they explained why they were the one picking her up. She’d rub at her face with a hand and slowly stand up. Looking at the portal and then back at her sister.
”Interesting how? Route? What do you mean?”
Coal was curious to say the least, she knew that her sister and her mother were fighters but she didn’t quite understand the whole knight thing as of yet. There wasn’t much to get really; or at least that’s what she thought. That last bit made her slowly shake her head and she couldn’t help but stretch one of her legs.
”I mean it’s three days a week I come here and iko teaches me stuff, it’d be hard not to get used to it. He’s really nice and really straightforward with the lessons.”
Coal didn’t really know what else to say other than that; stepping through the portal that her sister offered her. If they were going home she really was looking forward to taking a nap or perhaps even going to the store for something…
Holly watched her sister train like a hawk, writing down her observations and what she noticed. She’d be sure to share those later with her sister but the point of this sparring was to create a fighting stance and style that her sister could rely in close up. So that she could work with that stance that she learned on her own to use the various moves that she had… as well as her own tips and tricks.
Holly would be sitting next to her sister, writing down things that her clones had noticed, flicking her ears as the other agreed that they should go back. With an idle tailflick and a press of the button later a portal would appear behind the both of them…
”Think of it this way sis, even me or your ma train a lot and are constantly evolving our own fighting styles Training is never done no matter who you are. So it’s more working on than catching up. Unless you feel like comparing yourself to someone or something then there’s no reason to think like that.”
Holly would smile and reach over, giving her sister a half hug with one arm. Stowing away the clipboard for the day and would even help her sister stand if they needed it…
”That said. I’m really happy to help you with this; it’s not often I get to do this sort of stuff.”
Holly would cheerfully lead her sister to the portal, taking a glance at her clones who were bickering at how to handle this. They’d all pause and give a small nod to holly; who would do the same before stepping through the portal...

"Hm? Oh, like his patrol - he usually handles the Dark Area. Though its really not as scary as some make it out to be..."
Sounded like 'work stuff', and Syre's tone trailed off, like she really didn't want to say much about it - for the moment, at least. She'd lead Coal right through the portal, nodding as she kept through the conversation on the other end. "I guess that makes sense... Silence and I have never really seen him practice with beginners, before, only Knight recruits. Guess we're just too used to him expecting near perfection out of his small team..." "True, but if that's the case, how am I ever gonna catch up to you all?"
Amber gave a laugh, sticking out her tongue as she felt herself propped up by Holly. It took a moment, but Amber did find herself able to stand, nodding appreciatively to her older sister. It didn't take long for the two to step through the portal - coincidentally, at the same time as the other group!
"Ah, hey there, sis!" Syre gave a chuckle, quickly moving over to Holly, butting her elbow against the black MeiCrackmon's calf. "Been a while since I've had a chance to be around here. How's things going for you, Amber?"
"Honestly, I'm starting to get better at this whole physical endurance thing..." Amber grit her teeth. She was tired, but she felt that if she yawned, all the aching in her body would start to flare up at once. "Maybe we can get some tea going to warm up?"
"Hm..." Syre looked over from Amber to Coal - then to Holly. "Holly, you sure having her practice in the cold is a good idea? Coal's going just as hard, and, well..."

”...Dark area? That’s the island region right?”
Coal blinked a bit and she’d tilt her head to one side; with syre trailing off it was obvious that she didn’t want to talk about it too much. So she wouldn’t force the issue. At hearing that they hadn’t seen him practice with beginners it made her wonder… Just how many people had iko trained? She wanted to know what sort of thing he’d expect from her if… well she ever joined.
”I spose that makes sense, don’t you guys have a lot of ground to cover or something? Ma’s always coming home sore from hers and you always look flustered…”
Holly mulled over that little bit and gave a small nod of her head; amber had a point but that just meant that her own training needed to continue onwards. It wasn’t so much catching up as to getting to the same start line right?
”I suppose; we’ll just have to keep working on stuff!”
Holly perked up a bit as she was greeted by syre, grinning ear to ear as the other bunted their elbow against her. She’d chuckle and squat down to give her older sister a hug. She had missed her dearly and honestly wouldn’t mind catching up with her.
”Yeah! You’ve been busy, I’ve been busy. Should get a us day sometime! Hang out and all that.”
Holly blinked at hearing amber speak; was training in the cold a bad idea? Maybe syre seemed to think so and with a small wave of her hand she’d agree to make some tea. Even pulling her sister along so they could keep on talking.
”I think so, maybe we should cut down on the hours we do it. But honestly I can’t think of a better place to do so. Especially if she’s going to be living in this area for any length of time. And well? What’s up?”
Meanwhile coal flopped on the couch with a groan, her legs were stiff and they had just gotten some physical practice in. But at least it was better than trying to get iko with some things she wasn’t even sure would work…
”How’s your training going sis? They got you on a more physical regiment too now?”

"Hm? Oh, yeah, though you really only get there by portal... and only if you have a reason to go there."
Even Coal would know the stories of just how dangerous the place was, but like any other part of the Digital World, it had its integral role, and was a place work protecting. Syre would give a small nod to Coal's last question. "Its... stressful, that much is certain." Syre didn't press it much further than that, as the two made their way through the portal.
The tone shifted quickly from there, though, as Amber and Coal would be left to talk themselves, as Syre and Holly made their way to the kitchen! "Mhm! We can go... wherever. Actually, I haven't really had the chance to go around Luminas. You think you can show me around if I come up for a visit?"
Syre gave a smile - and tilted her head as Holly mentioned that she couldn't think of a 'better place to do so'. "You know what I mean - its the cold, and these mountains are dangerous. Frostbite and the like's a real risk, especially for someone not as used to fighting as her. Though, I will say she doesn't seem discouraged by it... hm."
Honestly, Syre didn't know what to think about it. Amber, stiff as she was, gave Coal a nod. "Before, it was mostly stamina building - we've started to move onto actual fighting. Today's the first day for it though, and I gotta say, its rough... hm." Amber gave a groan, stretching out her back. "How about you? You done any... 'fighting' yet?

”And you guys have to patrol that area huh… gotta be kinda interesting if that’s the case right?”
Coal gave a shrug; while she had heard of the place she didn’t know an awful lot about it. Just that it was dangerous but couldn’t that be said of just about anywhere else in the digital world? Hearing that it was stressful didn’t really put coal at ease; her eyes ran over to syre and there was a moment where she was staring at them but she realized that she wasn’t wearing her glasses or goggles!
”Ah! Sorry!”
She’d fumble for her glasses and put them on; it would be bad if she was accidentally staring at people’s cores this entire time. But thankfully they were left to their own devices and the renamon-x could relax a bit.
Holly was glad to hear that her sister was up for hanging out; she hadn’t had the chance to go around luminas and given that was where holly was studying she’d be more than happy to show her sister around!
”I don’t see why not! There’s a few good places to eat, some places to get a good drink. Some place that does smoothies has been doing really well lately.”
The meicrackmon paused; that was true they could indeed get frostbite and the cold long term could have some effects. Holly mused for a moment and rubbed at her chin. Maybe moving to a different location would have some benefits?
”Hmm. You have a point. Maybe if I take her to luminas i could also have gaius help me out with training her… He’s got light based abilities too. I swear there was someone else that would do well with it… I know iko has shadow based stuff so that’s why he’s helping coal… wonder if he knows much about the inverse?”
Holly shrugged her shoulders and went to make some tea, putting a kettle on and sitting down at the table. Inviting syre to do the same while they waited…
”So how’s things with cion going? You’ve been spending a lot of time with her and so much so I don’t even really see yah much!”
Coal sighed a bit hearing that they were focusing on stamina building; that was a good base wasn’t it? But was that all they were doing? Then actual fighting and the fact it was rough… even the first day of it? Coal blinked a bit and found herself laying backwards, almost sinking into the couch.
”Iko and I have been sparring for… the last couple weeks I think? At first he had me just work on my abilities, filling out circles with my shadow and trying to control it… and other stuff.”
She’d groan softly after cracking her neck; she felt sore all over the place and a shower really would do both of them good. The renamon-x felt her body acutely and she could only guess that her sister was feeling the same way.
”But… today was the first day that he had me do some kicking practice; I think I might have overextended them. He’s having me learn two different types of kicks to sort of… work with my ‘style’ of fighting as he put it.”
The black-renamon-x sank deeper into the couch and then snorted after a few moments. Pulling herself up and rolling her shoulders.
”I think after tea I’m gonna take a shower.”

"Hm? Why are you sorr- oh!"
Oh, that was it! Seeing Coal scramble for her glasses, Syre couldn't help but try and stifle a chuckle! "N-no, its alright, Coal. If anything, I'm glad you're at the point where you can take your glasses off for a bit and not even notice." It was a side-effect of the training, really: Coal didn't wear them while fighting, so she could control her shadows a bit easier. And the longer she went without them, the more she adjusted to the feeling of not wearing them.
Really? This whole thing helped Coal open up out of her shell, in at least a few ways.
"Smoothies in Luminas, huh?" Over in the kitchen, Syre gave a chuckle at that fact, and gave a nod as Holly mentioned Gaius. "I can ask the wolf about that much. Speaking of, how is your stuff going with Gaius?" Syre tilted her head. "Must be well-enough if you're trying to teach Amber yourself. And... heh..."
Sheesh, that question? Syre gave a blush! "Er, very well. She holds herself up as a 'proper lady', but she's quite playful underneath... well, I'll turn it back on you. How about Agress?" The feline gave a short tease back, as she climbed up onto the table - grabbing herself a soda, for her preference. "Well, if that's gone anywhere. Seriously, you're so busy I'm surprised I'm not talking to a clone." "Couple of weeks? Man, this was my first day trying it out myself... though Holly really drilled the basics into me. I'm even starting to wear Syre's training weights for the runs..."
The Renamon-X gave a sigh, slowly moving to sit up. It was definitely sore, and a bit of heat felt like it would do wonder on her muscles. Coal was practicing kicking? "Huh! I've had to move a lot in the snow, so I wonder where I'm at with all that. I have a good grip with my feet now, so I don't slide around as much... and heh."
Amber gave a nod. "I'm right there with ya. Will still probably ache afterwards, but during, it'll feel like they're completely relaxed..."

Coal knew it was rude to stare at people’s cores for too long; she had made many a visitor and dweller of snowflake somewhat uncomfortable whenever she forgot to put her glasses or goggles on. She’d manage a nervous smile and nod her head in agreement with her older sister.
”Thanks sis…”
Coal wasn’t really sure how she was improving yet, but maybe that was a good thing. Just the other day it had taken her an hour after the fact to realize she had gone to the store all on her own to pick up some stuff for her ma!
With holly being in the kitchen with her sister the meicrackmon was certainly much more relaxed. She’d lean back in her chair and sigh hearing the inevitable question about gaius. That particular class was rough…
”Ugh… I’m getting a D- in it, but I’m no longer failing. He’s happy with my meiphemon but he thinks that my natural talent in my forms is making up for my lack of skill. So he’s being harsh in his gradings. I know the source material but putting them into practice is sorta difficult in some veins… and i think he’d be happy to know that I’m trying to help out my little sister.”
Holly tilted her head to one side as syre gave her an answer in regards to cion! Hearing that she was quite playful made the meicrackmon smile warmly; but then she found herself blushing at hearing that question. Nearly falling out of her chair as she leaned a bit too far back!
”A-ah… yeah p-past the uh… ah… Well. Erm. Schools been busy and he runs that bistro uhm… I’ll be going back later this week after some assignments are done and well… Gaius told me that I shouldn't use my clones for everything unless I desperately need things done. So I’ve been trying to ease back on that. In fact he’s been wanting me to be in meiphemon as much as possible to get used to it.”
Holly let out a sigh and rubbed at one of her temples; the sheer amount of stuff she needed to keep track of was starting to weigh down on her a bit…
”He’s shown me a lot of stuff so I feel you, though my rear is really sore from how many times he’s knocked me flat. Nothing ever too harsh like with ma apparently… and ah! Weights for runs? Maybe I should bring that up to him…”
Coal noticed that her sister was having a bit of an issue sitting up; she’d shift and lean to gently rub at her sister’s back with a hand. Hopefully the other wouldn’t mind the helpful hand!
”Maybe you can ask holly about it? Or maybe we could practice together sometime…”
Coal blinked slowly as the other agreed that they wanted to take a shower; coal hummed thoughtfully and there was a moment that she had to wonder why this house only had one bathroom with so many people in it?
”maybe get holly to take a look at you and see if she can help? I do a lot of stretches before and after sparring...”

"Hey, its still an improvement. And I'm glad you're sticking it out!" For someone as educated as Holly, such a bad mark - despite trying as hard as she could - could come off as discouraging for the Meiphemon. Syre kept a smile on her face, wanting to be there to encourage her younger sister. "But, I mean, it can't hurt to introduce Amber to Gaius. Just don't be surprised if it can't be fit into his schedule - he has a full class on tuition to teach already, right?"
There was only so much time that a single person could make, and even if Gaius was otherwise willing, he might have other obligations first. Past that point in the conversation, though, Syre gave a chuckle as Holly playfully danced around the question about Agress. Syre didn't call her sister out on it, but it was cute! "You got Gaius wanting you to stay in Meiphemon, and dad wanting you to spend some time as a MeiCrackmon - which, actually, its been a while since I've seen you like this." Yup - Holly had trained Amber as a MeiCrackmon, and Holly hadn't shifted back forms quite yet.
"But, yeah. It sounds like a good day off will do us both some good. The twins off day is tomorrow... doesn't that line up with your off day?" "Mm, Syre swears by 'em. Something about being able to move regardless of the environment - but sheesh, they really cut into your stride. I remember taking them off the first time. Stubbed my toe right against a wall like five seconds later."
As Coal moved in to rub Amber's back, the yellow fox leaned forward, resting her hands right on her knees. "Honestly... I'd love to see where you're at, with all of this. You have all of this stuff that's completely opposite to me, and, well, we might make a good team." She gave a chuckle, and blinked as Coal mentioned 'stretching'. Amber waved it off: "Holly's done nothing but watch me. Her clones have taught me to stretch quite well - its just a matter of getting used to it, I think. As far as fighting goes..."
"... I think you probably caught onto it faster."

”Well.. It’s definitely better than failing his class. He was so upset with me starting out it’s kinda embarrassing…”
Holly looked somewhat flabbergasted, sure her other classes didn’t suffer from her intense focus but the combat course was something that even starting out she had it rough. She’d flick an ear as the pot started to whistle; figuring it was about time for her to stand up and tend to that she’d do exactly that!
”I could bring her along next time I go to his class… I know he doesn’t mind meeting new people. Yeah he does have a full class; only reason I got in was cause someone dropped.”
Holly gave a small shrug and started to pour the hot water in a trio of mugs; each one of them already having tea bags. It’d take a little bit before they were ready but that was fine.
”It’s pretty easy to switch between the two now. When I’m at home I spend time in meicrackmon and when I’m in luminas or the like I spend time in meiphemon. I didn’t want to overwhelm amber at first with too many of me so that’s why I started as a meiphemon with her…”
Holly was thankful that her little sister didn’t seem too overwhelmed and with a small smirk she’d tap the mixer against the side of one of the mugs. She’d continue this training as long as she could; it was kind of nice really!
”Yeah it does, gaius wanted people to rest this week. Next week we’re going to do some really harsh training he said. So I get this entire week off but a lot of it is filled up with knight stuff; the twins and whatnot…”
”That’s kinda odd, isn’t she already really strong? Mm.. maybe that makes sense if she keeps on just one upping herself… Maybe I should ask iko about that stuff.”
Hearing that other part the black renamon chuckled; leaning just a bit so she could put a little bit more oomph in the rubbing of her sister’s back.
”We might yeah! Though isn’t that just… I don’t know how twins normally are? Being a good team with one another?”
Coal tilted her head as the other waved off her suggestion; the clones? Coal didn’t know that holly could use clones! That was really neat! Hearing that last bit however the black-renamon frowned and shifted a bit. Giving her sister a small hug.
”I mean your mind is always on your art right? I don’t really do anything exciting or cool like that. I’m just kinda here.”
It was one of the issues she was having; not knowing what she should do in her life. Her sister already had a desire and a drive compared to her. Which was kind of strange; she didn’t mind lazing around and sleeping but someday she’d need to step up and figure something out!

"From what I know, he doesn't mind sit-ins on the more 'lecture-y' lessons," Syre gave a shrug, "so bringing her to a class might be alright. Well. If Gaius doesn't think she'll distract you, or something."
Yeah, that was usually something 'mons with higher grades got away with, but Syre was sure Holly could figure something out. That said, it wasn't even clear if Amber would be willing to join another class or go that hard with fighting. "Just remember, sis, Amber and Coal aren't me, and they definitely aren't Silence. They only need enough to defend themselves and call for help. Even if it hasn't hit her yet, I'm sure Amber is very scared of injuring her hands."
Case in point? Syre would remove one of her gloves, and show Holly the hand underneath. It looked 'fine', of course - but just under the fur were a number of scars and callouses from repeated use. She'd slip that glove back on, and take another drink from her soda.
"Well, you're on break, the twins are going go be on an off day, and Mikemon and Silence are going to be home. Let's just take that day off tomorrow!" "Hm... I wonder... you've seen both of their cores, right? Whose actually stronger, Syre or Holly?"
Amber was actually a bit curious about that. Holly spent most of her time in ultimate, but Syre was usually the busier one in missions. Was it close? Could Coal tell? Amber gave a small chuckle as Coal surmised that they 'should' work well together. "If only because we know so much about the other, silly! And... hm?" Suddenly hugged by Coal, Amber gently rested a hand on her sister's back.
"H-hey... you're plenty cool, Coal!" Amber gave a stutter, and then a wide smile, ruffling a paw right on top of Coal's head. "But I get it. That's why you're borrowing so many of your sisters' books, right? To see if you find anything you want to do?"

”I don’t think he’ll have an issue with it… but he might ask for her to stay away from me.”
Holly wasn’t even sure if she would be allowed to; but she’d have to talk with her teacher. He might not have a problem with it or he’d berate her for teaching someone skills she herself didn’t want to use. She’d blink a bit and rubbed at her chin. Yeah that was right wasn’t it? She was an artist and if her hands got hurt she couldn’t draw! The meicrackmon sighed softly.
”I just hope that she realizes it after she’s gotten further in training. If someone was to notice her aversion to taking damage around there tch…”
Holly rubbed at her face with a hand and flicked her ears; hearing that the twins were going to have a day off and mikemon along with silence were going to be home… They could take that time off easily! She’d beam at the idea and nod her head.
”That sounds great! I can show you around my house up there too! Once we’ve got some smoothies…”
”Who’s stronger? Uhm… I haven’t really looked at the both of them when they’re around one another. Most of the time it’s also hard to really tell. I think it’d come down to who’s more skilled than who’s physically stronger.”
Coal rubbed at her neck; she couldn’t really tell without having the both of them in front of her. Without her glasses on; and even then it wasn’t something she felt she could tell easily… She knew that holly spent most of her time in ultimate but didn’t silence do the same thing? Was syre’s preference for a lower form because she preferred to conserve energy?
”Well true… think that syre and holly are the same? Cause they’re both on that team aren’t they?”
Coal felt her face flush a bit and she’d flatten her ears to either side, managing to smile back up at her sister. She’d shift back to rub at her sister’s back. Knowing that she was probably still sore. Though she didn’t know the best way of doing so some of this would be helpful right?
”Borrowing a lot of books, buying a lot of stuff from the shops to sort of read up about the world… I don’t really understand a lot of it… and I’m kinda uncertain why da picked this place. Considering that rosewood or whitewater would be safe. As for… well right now I kind of want to travel and find out about places. Maybe then I can pick what I’d want to do?”
Coal’s thoughts were deep in all of this and there was a particular individual she’d likely want to travel with. Given that entire situation had come, gone and resolved with her parents firmly telling her that those portal devices weren’t toys well…
”That and who knows! Maybe I’ll find something out that I didn’t think of before!”
