Silence was indeed confused, convinced that he was talking to her for a moment until he spoke holly’s name. She looked rather concerned hearing that syre needed to have her temperature down… and do something other than what cion told her? That sounded like a mess. She’d rub at her neck awkwardly and remain silent as he talked over the phone.
”Sounds like there’s a mess with them too… Tch…”
Split between taking care of his oldest and youngest children and issues with either. She’d rub at her chin hearing that report mentioned again. She’d sigh a bit and stand up, grabbing her cloak and goggles.
”Either that or they got distracted…”
Silence really hoped that was the case; and her voice certainly seemed to indicate otherwise. She’d step outside of the door and quickly follow their tracks. At first it was normal as they had to go through their yard… But after that? Well it curved away from the town and the shutmon felt her heart plummet as she saw where they were ultimately leading.
Into the woods. Towards where holly’s training course was. She didn’t wait to call mikemon, she just started to move towards them. Quickly following the tracks and bringing the phone to her ear. The second he picked up?
”The tracks lead away from town. Not towards it. Looks like they went towards holly’s training course.”
Having it so far out of the way for training was good… but any further past that and they’d be in the midst of that avalanche right?
”Sounds like I need to take a few tips and tricks from her…”
Coal huffed a bit and helped her sister the best she could; when it came to physical strength maybe she had the edge over her sister. But they definitely had the stamina in comparison. Maybe it was just because of the length of time coal spent sparring with a champion.
”Yeah, that means going uphill..”
Coal mumbled a bit and it’d take them quite a bit of work to get to where they needed to be. With the way the avalanche treated them they were going to be okay; they had plenty of stuff to use for fire and as long as they got help quick enough coal figured the leg of her sister’s wouldn’t be too bad…
”Tch… would be nice if one of us could do cloning or could fly…”

Away from town. Towards Holly's training area.
At those words, Silence was graced with the sound of a rather pointed swear in her ear, as Mikemon gave a growl of frustration. "And there's not a set of tracks back the way to town? Ugh..." The doctor shook his head. "... Keep following them. I'm going to look up the number to set up a mountain rescue with town..."
Well. The news wouldn't get much better for Silence there. She'd see those tracks lead right up to that clearing - and abruptly end. Right underneath packed mass of ice, loosened earth, and stone, which created and cut a swath right down the side of the mountain, over the cliff and through the valley below. And what Silence would hear, for the moment, was nothing but silence - any noise deafened by the mass of snow around them. "Sh-she'd be more than happy to teach you, I'm sure."
Amber gave a chuckle, trying to keep their spirits up. They had to do what they had to do, after all - and if that meant a trek uphill, that just meant that the two were going to have to make it. The ice and terrain below them was made much worse by the debris, and it took quite a bit of effort to make their way across it. Amber gave the occasional hiss from her teeth whenever she accidentally put her weight on her bad foot, and she really couldn't find the time to talk much.
Not until she found herself pointing at a nearby cliffside - and a small 'divot' into the mountain. It was barely a cave - more an overhang and a small spot where the rocky wall slipped in - but it was enough that Amber and Coal could slip inside, and get out of the cold, howling wind of the valley. And, shortly after, Amber found herself able to make a small fire with the debris that they had dragged along.
They had cover and heat - but no easy way to make their way back up, trapped in the middle of a wild area, with not a single bit of supplies to their name.
"... I wonder if they know what happened by now..."

”Took the words right out of my mouth.”
Silence grumbled a bit and kept moving, the phone up to her ear blaring and she’d give a small shake of her head. Though she had to quickly add that no there indeed was not a second set of tracks else she would have mentioned them. She’d have to keep following them, there was nothing else she would do at this point.
”Lets just hope that they’re okay… tch.. All right. Let them know I’m already out and looking.”
Silence put it away only to find herself to that clearing. With the tracks abruptly ending the shutmon scanned around; grimacing lightly and following the avalanches’ path with her eyes. If she was a betting mon they’d be further down the way if they got caught by this. So she’d do what she had to.
And started working her way down; keeping herself trudging through the snow. Her mind firmly on her children that must lay somewhere in the mess that she had just found.
”Given all the stuff that she’s teaching you? Yeah… definitely would have been good to know…”
She’d huff a little bit and look around; the debris made it a bit of an issue here or there. But coal was able to move some of the smaller stuff out of the way with a flick of her finger; shadows pulling stuff that would have been a problem for her sister out of the way. She’d turn her head to try to keep scanning but she was just trying to go the direction that her sister had gestured towards.
”Is that a cave…?”
Coal mumbled a bit and shook her head; no it was more of a overhang than a cave but it’d do for the moment. She was glad that her sister could use the light to get a fire going and well… Coal would pick up some more debris to add to the fire, tinder and then a few logs. She’d sit down next to her sister and gingerly try to help them sit down or lay down. She also made a pointed effort to help keep the leg raised… she knew that much with injuries is that you always had to keep them up!
”It’s… been what? At least a few hours? I’d be surprised if ma didn’t figure out something was up. We just have to keep ourselves warm and safe… I think we’ll be okay.”

"Of course, of course. Just... god I hope they're alright."
Damn it, why did everything have to be today? Mikemon would hang up, and start dialing that other number. And as for Silence? Well, she'd find that the way down was quite treacherous: the avalanche itself had made a lot of the ground unstable, each gust of wind dragging with it a loose snow drift. At least for now, Silence would probably have no clue, no inkling as to where they went... other than 'down', of course. How long would it take to find them?
... Or were they so far under the snow that Silence would never know? For the moment, reality was very, very kind to the two twins, all things considered. Amber simply found herself staring at the fire, looking at the embers dance to try and pass the minutes along. It had just been a few hours - and as Amber looked out from under the overhang, the fox gave a sigh.
She looked down to her hands.
"... If we wait until its completely dark out..." Amber mulled it over. "... I can shoot a beam of light straight up into the air. Maybe mom, maybe someone from town will be able to see it, and use it to come and try to find us." Amber kept as calm as she could.
She'd give a smile, and wrap her arm right around Coal's shoulders. "We'll be okay. We'll be okay... don't you worry." Somehow, Amber sounded like she was trying to convince herself, just as much as she was trying to convince Coal. "We'll be... we'll be..."

”They’ll be okay.”
Silence said with such intensity and firmness in her voice that it was obvious the shutmon refused to believe otherwise. Crunching along in the snow and snarling when it tried to get in her way. She was getting frustrated and well. It wasn’t too much longer before she was hopping above the snow; using her ability to stay aloft to move quickly along. Her eyes scanning along. If she had anything to go off of she would use it.
”Some parent I am…”
She’d mutter to herself and then close her eyes; what was the easiest way to find these two? Who were no doubt lost, scared and trying to sort out their own messes. The shutmon paused and considered something for a brief moment. If her kids were around they’d no doubt be trying to signal them.
So all she could do is keep on moving downwards, combing through the area all on her own. Her eyes straining to pick up anything that would give her even a small hint of where they could be. SHe felt her anger surge and while she wanted to howl out for them to let them know that she was around she also knew that could cause another issue if she was too loud…
”Tch…”
Coal sat there with her arms over either leg; staring blankly at the fire in front of her. It was getting difficult for her to concentrate on some stuff. If she looked at her sister at all she would only see the glaring upset twisted and tangled mess that would be her wireframe right? That’s what injuries did; they always looked strange even if they were superficial. She’d flick her ears towards her sister and blink slowly.
”So all we have to do is wait for another hour or two? That… shouldn’t be too hard.”
Coal returned the smile and she’d do the same, putting an arm around the nook of amber’s back. Pulling her into a big hug; she made sure not to move her sister too much given her leg and she’d chuckle softly.
”I know. It’ll.. It’ll just take some time and we’ll be back at home. Just try to rest and conserve your energy okay?”
The black-renamon patted her lap as though offering it for an impromptu pillow for her sister. She knew how much her own abilities took from her; so she figured that the other would probably be in the same boat...

Lost, scared, and trying to sort out their own messes.
It was absolutely true. Though Amber tried to put up a strong front for her sister, now that they finally had time to sit down, she started to feel her emotions get the better of her. That arm wrapped around her own shoulder, and.... well, Amber pulled Coal right in for a hug, as best as she could. "Y-you're right. Your sister will get a nice, bright signal out to the sky, mom and dad will see it, and we'll be on our way home. Its... its how it'll be."
It was all they had, after all. So, for the next half hour or so, the two would keep a look outside, while tending to the fire. Wondering if it was dark enough yet, if they should try one now and one later, or even how many times Amber could send such a strong signal. It should have been open-and-shut...
... Were it not for the sudden heavy steps, the crunching of snow and the snapping of twigs just around the corner. A noise that only picked up, as something turned the corner to face them.
The face of a powerful, strong champion - a Grizzlymon - would find itself staring down the two of them. Its fangs were bared, its hungry eyes looking right down at the two foxes, its frame boxing the two of them in. And Amber? Her eyes were wide with fear, for a bare moment, until she took a brief glance at her sister. With that?
The yellow fox stood. Putting weight on both of her feet, claws tensed as she stared the bear down.
"... No. LEAVE."

Coal couldn’t help but wonder what would happen to them if they didn’t have their parents find them; if they were stuck out here for a while. Would her sister get better? The renamon glanced at the other and couldn’t help but frown. Feeling the other pull her into a hug the black renamon did the best she could to comfort her injured sister.
”Mhm! Though it’ll still be a bit…”
Coal sighed a little bit and thankfully tending to the fire didn’t really take much. Sure they could have put more logs on the fire or tended to it with more tinder but… She was just glad that they had something warm. She would shift in her seat; sighing ab it as the other didn’t seem to want to rest too much.
”..Hmm..?”
Coal tilted her head and shifted, slowly standing up and freezing at seeing the grizzlymon. It’s wireframe and core was immediately obvious to her; this wild digimon was not friendly and it must have seen their fire. Curious and probably hungry it made it’s way to them.
”aw fiddlesticks...”
Coal scrambled to her feet; she wasn’t even sure how to handle this. An actual champion level that wasn’t friendly and was fully capable of mucking the both of them up. Amber was still injured and well… Coal was probably very tired from helping her sister along.
”We gotta be careful…”
Silence on the other hand was gettingincreasingly frustrated as she couldn’t find a lick of her two children. Casting about, picking up logs and trees like they were nothing, wondering if they were under the snow somewhere. Or if they were in a cave; trapped in a place they couldn’t see. She would just have to keep working her way through here and hopefully soon she’d find them.
She didn’t want to think about what would happen if someone else found them; someone wild or nefarious. She knew how big the world could be and what kind of dangers lurked. Snarling to herself she’ed push that negativity aside and keep on working through the snow...

Careful? Careful?
Maybe, but that was far from the first thing on Amber's mind when this feral animal was staring down the two of them like they were dinner! Amber grit her teeth, giving a 'tsk' as the bear stomped forward. She took one glance back - there was absolutely no way to run away like this, their backs were right against the wall. And so Amber took action into her own hands: she clapped her hands together, and, just as before, a number of crystals appeared above and around the fox. Without hesitation, she fired her attack, an array of sudden beams of light taking the bear by surprise, forcing it to close its eyes as it stepped back.
At which point, Amber grasped Coal's arm, and - still on her bad foot - sprinted right on out of the cave. Right past the dangerous Grizzlymon, who soon turned and gave a roar, as he started to chase right after the two of them! And if Coal took a look at Amber's face, she'd see that her sister was gritting her teeth, trying her very best not to let the pain in her leg get to her.
"We need... higher ground..."

Coal wasn’t sure how to handle the beast in front of them; the strength of it was making her sort of unsure how to approach. She doubted that she could do too much against it. But seeing her sister act so quickly and so decisively the renamon had to figure out what to do herself. Maybe she could slow it down now that it was blinded? The renamon fidgeted a bit and looked around.
With the fire the shadows were in full force but the darkness was pushed back a bit with the light that amber pulled off. But before she could do all too much amber yanked her along. Running on that bad foot that only caused her to wince.
”Si-sis! B-be careful! Yo-your leg!”
Was all that she could manage at the moment. Yes they needed higher ground and yes they definitely needed to get to safety but what was the safety going to mean if her sister’s leg got any worse. She’d shoot a glance back at where they had come from. Wondering if the bear would leave them alone or… Maybe it was going to be coming after them?
”What if we get into a tree.. Or.. ah… use some of the snow to hide ourselves…?”
Coal was grasping at straws, the bear had definitely made her a bit spooked and being unable to really concentrate she wasn’t going to do too well in this situation! She was used to fighting and training only in margins and only against someone that was taking it somewhat easy against her...

Of course that damn bear was still behind them - how could Amber care what happened to her leg at a time like this? It hurt like hell, but it would be nothing like what would happen if that Grizzlymon caught... up to...
"God damn it, leave us alone!" Amber let go of Coal's arm, even pushing her a bit off to the side, as she saw that Grizzlymon tearing right after them. In the heat of the moment, Amber fell back to what she knew - and she knew that she only had one tool in her disposal that could stop a Champion-level Digimon. She raised both of her hands, a powerful lens appearing right in front of her palms...
... Only for the bear to jump first. In a practical explosion of snow and ice, the bear pounced, and crashed right into Amber, the fox flung right off of her feet, and onto her back. The lens flashed - that powerful beam of light shooting right off into the air, completely missing her target. Leaving Amber to gasp and cry out as the Grizzlymon's claw pinned her down against the ground.
"C... Coal..."

Coal’s eyes widened a bit with the grizzlymon moving as fast as it did; the rookies never really stood a chance. She’d let out a sharp gasp as she was pushed to one side; her eyes flicking to her sister. She didn’t know what attack she was doing but it looked like it was going to be bright. She’d shield her face so that maybe the light wouldn’t blind her outright.
The bear pinning her sister and causing the bema to shoot up into the sky didn’t exactly fill her with hope. She’d practically shiver in fear; staring at this creature that had her sister pinned. There was something that she needed to do; something she had to do. Growling a little bit with the darkness returning she could at least do this! Throwing those thick and heavy chains at the bear; to at least take it’s attention away from her sister…
”G-get away from her!”
A rare show of coal actually standing up for her or her sister; but albeit at a time where she didn’t have much strength compared to this digimon…
Elsewhere silence was still picking through the snow; her eyes flicking to where she saw a beam of light escape from the canopy. There was zero hesitation; zero wonder of what that was or why they would fire it off.
Her children were looking to get people to come and help them; they were likely in trouble. Either under attack or in a precarious position. Did that mean that coal was injured and amber was doing her best? Or was amber defending them and falling to some foe?
Either way her body kicked into high gear and the shutmon very quickly turned into something else. Her signal and light pulsing through the mountainside like an avalanche all it’s own and she’d take off sprinting, the very world curling around her as she ran towards where her children no doubt were…
”Hang on momma’s comin..”

"Coal..."
Those words were repeated, Amber sinking her head back down into the snow as the Grizzlymon bared down on her. Was this it? She blinked - seeing the chains of shadow grasp around the Grizzlymon's neck and ankles, the black fox calling right out to the larger Champion. The bear, however, seemed more annoyed than troubled: a careless flick of its claw shoved Amber off to the side, in a limp heap, as the beast turned its attention onto Coal.
It was slowed for a moment. But with a pull of his neck and a push with its feet, those chains would snap just as quickly as they were formed... and now Coal had that same beast tearing right in her direction.
Just about the same time as that massive data signal came down the hill...

Coal felt her breath catch in her throat and seeing that the grizzlymon wasn’t even affected by her chains… The renamon took a step back. She didn’t know what to do from here, not even being able to think straight. She’d form her hands into fists; she wasn’t going to be able to do much. Maybe use her shadows to force it back away from her and her sister?
”It’s gonna be okay…”
She’d mumble a bit and she’d squeeze her fists tighter, about to make a movement but with that large data signal flaring up she’d glance away from the bear. Surprise etched on her features…
The bear didn’t even have more than a moment to consider it’s lot in life. It didn’t have more than a moment to tear towards coal.
There was a distinct flash of golden digichrome and the sword that was omegashutmon’s would go towards it’s neck and quickly if it didn’t move out of the way… would decapitate the bear in a mere instant. The flash of the blade and data would be all that the pair would see.
The wolf standing on the far side of the bear for a few seconds before drawing herself up. Putting her sword into her belt. The bear would be ignored at this point; it was meaningless and the wolf that neither of them had ever seen would take in the two of them. Quickly stepping to amber.
”Should have guessed…”
She’d kneel down and inspect the splint, the mess that was amber’s leg and huff a bit. She had the capability to heal this but if she healed it wrong mikemon would throw a tizzy. So without much else she’d pick up amber with both arms.
”Lets get you two home. C’mon coal.”
The omegashutmon didn’t even pause, her tail reaching out to scoop the renamon-x up in it’s long length and she’d kick off of the ground. Her visor seemed to be doing something and after a moment she’d talk…
”Mikemon? Better get some stuff ready, amber’s leg looks bad and coal is pretty much in shock by the looks of it. Don’t know if it’s from me or from the bear that was attacking them...

"M... mom..."
It was clear, even from looking at Amber for a moment, that she was completely out of it. Her mangled foot aside, she had just been practically mauled by a Grizzlymon, saved only by Coal's intervention and Silence's miraculous entrance. Fading in and out of consciousness, her arms instinctively wrapped around her mother's frame. There wasn't much the Renamon-X could do for the moment.
As for Mikemon? Hearing about that bear, the feline gave a 'tsk'. "... I'm just glad you were able to find them. Get them home, I'll patch them up right away. Stingmon, I need you to get some stuff ready..." The doctor's voice trailed off as he hung up, and in short order, Silence would arrive back at the cabin.
Once the door opened, the cat would see a tense Silence, a terrified Coal, and a weakly-breathing Amber, clutched in her mother's arms. The doctor's eyes immediately locked onto that! "... Stingmon, work with Silence to help Coal. But first, help me get Amber into the back." The doctor's eyes tightened with focus - focus that Coal would be able to recognize, and with the 'determined' look that Silence had all evening.
She fought on that foot. Plus the damage to her ribs and her chest... A good twenty minutes later, the house would be near silent. Mikemon was still working on Amber in the back, and Stingmon, though not blessed with the doctor's enhanced vision, took a careful look over Coal's frame.
"... Honestly, its a miracle." The Stingmon gave a nod - the Black Renamon-X had one claw taped up on her left hand, which had been broken since the fall. Other than that? "A few bruises, a few pulled muscles. But its like someone took care to protect the back of her head and her neck. Alright, Silence."
The insect gave a nod. "You should be good to use your own healing on her."

”I’ve got you amber. Don’t worry.”
Silence said with a strange firmness in her voice, her gauntlets tightening around her daughter’s frame. She’d flick her eyes back to coal who was just in awe of her mother; perhaps it was the fact she had never seen her mother’s core blossom like this. But the flight was fairly quick and the omegashutmon bounced down to her normal self after a few moments once landed. Still easily strong enough to carry one and push along the other with a tail.
”Best I can guess is some of this is from the avalanche and the other bits from the bear…”
Coal gulped a little bit once she saw her father; hiding behind her mother and flinching as she heard him speak. She was worried about her sister to be sure; but she was also worried what might be said of all this now that they were ‘safe’.
Coal was sitting there rather blankly, looking up at the stingmon as he spoke. She was treated for the most part; trying her best not to move her hand too much given that it had been broken at some point. Probably when she landed on it…
”If I had to guess it was amber.”
Silence said with such conviction that anything else might as well not even be considered; the now renamon was pacing back and forth. Flicking her ears towards the insect the moment he addressed her fully. She’d sigh a bit and step forward, her hands running along the varied locales.
”Seriously should have gone looking for you earlier… tsk… Next time you two want to go out to town I’m coming with.”
The renamon huffed a bit and worked on her daughter; tail flicking in agitation. She’d glance to the insect and give him a small nod. She would be able to handle things from here. If they decided to move on… well silence would hug her daughter tightly and then gently pat her head.
”You two must have been so scared… Just don’t do anything stupid like that again okay? If you wanted to spar against one another… I could have easily taken you somewhere.”
”S-sorry ma… Is amber going to be all right?”
”Well your father is treating her, so I’ll bet she’ll be perfectly fine given some time. But for now I need you to come with me to the kitchen. Gonna get some food into you.”
Silence sighed a bit and led coal to the kitchen where she’d fuss over her; being unable to do the same to amber at the moment but it was obvious the moment she could she probably would! It wasn’t anything fancy; just a sandwich and some chips but coal certainly didn’t seem to mind.
Silence even fixed herself, mikemon and amber something. Knowing that once they could they’d get some food into her other daughter. She seemed strangely pensive but coal did her best to just eat the food that was placed in front of her. She seemed well off enough; though she took her time eating...
