"I will!"
Syre gave her wave and stepped out, leaving Amber, Coal, and Silence alone in the living area. Though the tone was nice and friendly just a few moments ago, well, the two could probably tell that their mother was about to get serious. The usual joyful smile wasn't on her face, and she seemed more 'thoughtful' and somber in expression than she usually was.
Amber blinked as she began to speak - and as the infini-store and portal devices were given to them. "... So if something like, well, that happens again, we can get back easily... and supplies in the infini-store just in case..." Amber's tone was unusually passive and withdrawn, muttering to herself. She put the 'gifts' on the table for the moment, as Amber knew what was coming.
The lecture. Silence wasn't mad at what happened, but what had led up to it: the lie. The lie that got Coal hurt, the lie that made Silence have to trek out into the mountains and ruin their day off. Amber bit her lip - giving an 'oof' as she was held right in the taller Shutmon's arms. Amber would hug Silence right back - and gave a nod at her explanation.
"I... I understand, mom." The fox gave a sigh, blinking as that hand ruffled through the top of her head. "And I know I - well, we made you and dad worry. I'll make sure to run by stuff with you before I do something like that again."
To that, Amber actually managed a small smile. "And I don't want to stop drawing, so..."

Silence couldn’t help but give a nod and then she’d sigh; yes this was going to be rough but honestly speaking… It was something that needed to happen. The somber and light moments that they had was… Well something that probably would worry the pair of them.
”If one breaks the other helps, if both break well.. I’m not entirely sure where to go from there. But I have a feeling that you guys would figure it out.”
Coal stared quietly at the ‘gifts’ her ears flicking at the plural. They, we.. us… She’d grit her teeth and shake her head slowly. It wasn’t her idea to go out that way, it wasn’t her idea to go sparring but she went along with it. She wanted to make it clear but she had a feeling that bringing that up now would just hurt her and amber.
Coal looked down at her hands and she gripped them tightly; she wanted to say something but silence seemed to have it in the ball park…
”That isn’t the only thing I wanted to talk to you both about. I understand you two are very close and often do things together but this is one of those instances that i feel like I need to address. Amber you had the idea to go out and spar right? To try it out. On that part lay a portion of the blame. But…”
Her eyes shifted to coal and she’d fold her arms over one another.Taking a seat again. Her voice was stern and there was none of the softness earlier.
”Doing nothing or saying nothing is just as bad as the act itself. You may not have lied coal and you might not have gone against it. But you had just as much power in the situation as amber did. I appreciate you both being so forward with me about all of this as with your father. But considering what happened, how much happened and what not... ”
She’d drum her fingers on the table and gestured to amber.
”You’re doing dishes for the next week for each meal; after this family get together. That will also include when or if we have guests.”
Silence turned to coal, doing the same and nodding a little bit. She knew that coal would probably take this hard but… It was at the point she needed to do something.
”And you’re helping mikemon treat the wood of the house. It’s been neglected a bit since everyone’s busy and it’s not fair to your father if he has to do it all himself. I love the both of you dearly and I want you to understand that this is a punishment, it’s not something I’d normally have or ask you to do under regular circumstances.
Coal gulped nervously and shot a look to her sister; more nervous than anything and then just simply sighed. She knew her mother was right and she wanted to talk about this… but well. Her mother already had it in hand.
”But. I’m not without reason or the like. So I spoke to Gaius and he’ll be helping in future training sessions with you amber. And I’ll be talking to iko this evening after dinner for coal. I’m not about to let my sun and moon fall from the sky.”

"Y-yeah, that was my idea..."
Amber felt her ears flatten a bit at that comment, the Renamon giving a sigh. Even if Coal 'went along with it', Amber still felt responsible for dragging her sister through that mess. It stung, hearing that Coal would also be punished for this, but all things considered?
The end result sounded fair. "Yes, mom." Amber gave a nod, agreeing to handle the dishes, while Coal would be left to help dad treat the cabin. Amber's eyes briefly met Coal's, but it didn't feel like right now was the best time to speak up. Hearing Silence speak on further training, though, made the fox give a curious blink.
"... Gaius?" Amber sounded interested, and a bit confused. Who was that? "E-either way, I appreciate it, mom. I'll be more responsible with what we are being taught in the future." She couldn't manage a smile there, but she did give a nod, feeling a little better about the entire mess.
"Well, so long as you two understand." Mikemon, listening from outside the room, stepped in at that moment, giving a nod to the Shutmon. "Just so we're clear, these are all things that we've both decided and talked over, last night. As Silence said, this is a big world, with a lot of scary things in it - but there's also a lot to like, a lot to find. We're here to help you both with what you want to do - but don't try to handle the whole world by yourselves."
The doctor gave a nod. "We love you two, and we want you to help you the best we can. So keep us in the loop, alright?"

”I thought as much. But I suppose I shouldn’t be terribly surprised…”
Silence shot a look to coal; coal looking down at her hands still. She’d furrow her brow and reach out to gently rub the top of the other’s head. Coal looking up and managed to give a small but reassuring nod. It was fair in the end, though treating wood sounded a bit more difficult than dishes! She had to wonder why each of them got what they did…
”...I’ve never treated wood so I hope he doesn’t mind if it goes slow?”
”It’s a slow process and he’ll be teaching you don’t worry.”
Silence turned her head to amber and flicked an ear; gaius was holly’s combat teacher. She knew for a fact holly likely talked about him at some point but… It might not have clicked. She’d fish around for the brochure for his class and place it in front of amber. The image of the gryphon and one of his assistants was the first thing that amber would be greeted with.
”He’s a luminas combat teacher, holly’s teacher actually. Pretty sure syre might be in the class too. He wasn’t adverse to teaching coal but he felt it was best to limit the amount of work flow he had. He’ll be at your next training session. He set aside allotted time. Just hope you’re ready for that hah…”
Silence leaned back in her chair and glanced at mikemon; giving him a small somewhat somber smile. It wasn’t just her choice about these matters. Mikemon had his lot in this too. Coal seemed to be oddly silent; more so than normal. She’d rub at her chin thoughtfully and after a little bit just gave a nod.
”It’d be a good idea to talk and communicate… otherwise it’s just… silly. I’m glad that you guys at least know what to do about all this… I can’t imagine if you hadn’t.”
”Even if we didn’t know what to do, there’s resources each of us have that would help. Eventually you’ll have the same sort of connections as you go.”
Coal paused and there was a long moment of silence following what her mother said. She’d sigh a bit and tap at the infini storage. There was one thing she wanted to address and well… since everyone was here?
”Well… that’s probably a good point yeah… Which also brings up what I wanted to talk to you guys about before me and amber left last night.”
There was a soft drawl to her voice and the renamon-x rubbed at the back of her neck. She had talked to her sister about this before so this wouldn’t be a surprise… but to her parents? Silence’s face remained somewhat passive if not a bit curious; but it shifted to somewhat surprised!
”I want to travel; go and see the world. If I’m training to just protect myself there’s no point if I’m not at least going and visiting places. I-if that’s all right? N-not before my grounding is up though ah...”
”...Oh.”

At the very least, it seemed like this tough talk was winding down.
Amber and Coal would have tougher training, had to be more careful, and had chores for a week as punishment. After going through it, it seemed fair, and didn't seem as bad or as harsh as they feared. At first, the yellow fox didn't have much to say - wanting to put the 'bad stuff' behind them - but her ear flicked as Coal started to speak. Amber had heard about this before, yes, but to hear Coal speak about it so openly?
The fox's heart gave a small flutter. "... So soon?"
"Really... you're as adventurous and restless as Holly was." Mikemon gave a smile, and would step right up to Coal, with a smile. "It's a fine goal, Coal. But, as you are right now, I don't want you simply wandering around the world without a plan. You might not want to hear it, but you're pretty indecisive - this decision aside - and that'll end up biting you in the end if it crops up at the wrong time."
"So, you're going to wrap up your training first. I'll talk with mom about it in the meantime."
"... That's it, really?" Amber tilted her head. "I mean... she might be gone for weeks, months at a time!"

Coal knew that amber probably wouldn’t be happy with the idea of her leaving so soon, or traveling. The two of them were practically inseparable! But that came in it’s own on a problem. They were too attached, they needed some distance. They needed some breathing room. There wasn’t a day that they knew about one another and what they were doing. She’d flick her ears slightly and give amber’s shoulders a hug with one of her arms.
”Yeah… well.. Erm… I wouldn’t say adventurous or restless. I’d say more curious than anything.”
She’d sigh a bit and blink down at her father; so he didn’t want her adventuring around as she was without a plan? The renamon rubbed at her chin and slowly nod her head. So she had to work on her indecisiveness and… well she probably needed to train some more.
”Spose I shouldn’t be surprised but I didn’t leave my parent’s home until after I got shutmon… but that’s probably not normal hah… Mmm. We’ll have to come up with some ground rules for your travel if and when you do.”
Silence turned her head and reached out to gently rub at the top of her ‘oldests’ head. She’d manage a small grin and would shift ever so slightly so that the two were looking eye to eye.
”C’mon do you really think coal would stay out of touch that long? I bet she’ll want to at least visit on the regular.”
”Well now that I have a portal device… traveling home is a click away…”
Coal gave a small shrug and then nodded her head at the fact that her father wanted her to wrap up her training. But here was the question she had to wonder… how long would that even take?
”even then… training might take a while too…”

"Well, its an adventurous spirit, no matter how how you dice it." Mikemon gave a chuckle at Coal's comment, but at the very least, the terms were set. Of course, as a parent, the emptier nest would sting again, but it wasn't as if they could keep their kids in the nest!
As for Amber? She found herself slightly fussing as that hand rubbed the top of her head. Alright, Coal had the portal device, she could come home whenever she wanted... so why did this still sting as much as it did? Amber gave a sigh, and then forced a smile on her face, looking right over to Coal.
"Alright, then." The artist stepped right on next to her, bumping her elbow against Coal's arm. "With how you think, you should catch onto that training quicker than you'd expect, sis!"
"Alright, I'll see ya tomorrow, hun." Syre, right on that positive note, would step right on back into the room - blinking at the now four of them in there. "Um, guess I should ask, what are we doing today? Is Holly setting something up, or something?"
"Yeah, Coal said she didn't see Holly earlier?"

”Is… it? Oh uh… okay.”
Coal looked flabbergasted for a moment and rubbed at the back of her neck; managing a small smile at her father. Silence on the other hand pulled her hand back and then just gave a small chuckle. She knew how this could be, she had heard about it from some of her friends that had kids. Hell Garlond’s kids apparently were well traveled to the point of him not even knowing where they were at!
”You think so sis? I don’t know… we’ll see though!”
Coal paused and turned her head to see syre entering in. So that call had just finished? She’d give a small wave to the black-gatomon and lean back in her seat. Looking somewhat out of sorts. She’d flick her ears and glance around. There was still no sign of holly..
Though before silence could open her mouth or coal could suggest something a portal opened up in the doorway and out stepped not one but five holly’s! All fussing over bags and chattering like mad. Some had board games, others had movies and one was carrying a bunch of cooking supplies!
They all stopped when they saw the group of four and then the lead holly chuckled softly waving her clones off to go put away the varied things. She had the movies it seemed!
”Sorry I picked up a bunch of stuff, figured that since there were so many of us we should get a bunch of stuff! I had a bunch of movies back home anyways so… eheh…”
Silence gave a small grin and leaned forward, nodding her head. While coal seemed intrigued at the movies that holly put down on the table. Though she’d pick through a few of them...
"I don't know if some of these are good for a family day..."
"Well we can fish around in there and find out!"
"Well lets see here..."

Ah, there was Holly!
Arriving in a very Holly-like fashion, Amber found herself giving a chuckle as the goofy older sister came in with all of her clones - Holly apparently thinking of nothing but to make today a happy family day! Syre, meanwhile, found herself shaking her head at it all. "Kinda overthinking this, aren't you sis? And where did you even find a 'Sorry!' board..."
"Heh... well, let's see what you dragged on in here." The doctor-feline stepped on in, and Amber found herself peering through as well. "I could always use something in the background to listen to while I sketch, so I'm all for a movie. Let's see..."
"We could have always just dug into Stingmon's stash, you know."
"Hm... not a lot from our world..."
