Personality: Mizu could be considered a very reserved person. Years of study have caused him to develop a very logical and straight-foward personality with his work, to the point where some can consider him as rude. This is not to say he is, he will still greet people and address them kindly, but he tends to not exhibit any emotions that allows people to gauge his intentions. This is primarily for his research, as he is obsessed with perfecting it. Mizu also is an advocate for non-conflict, believing that there are always ways to reach agreements where no parties have to compromise.
With friends, however, Mizu is quite different. The sober and logical demeanor gives way to someone who values his friends a great deal. He will still think primarily with his logic, but he is at least able to open up and discuss what he's feeling. He will also defend his friends from anything, though he may come up with reasons relating to his research to save face among strangers.
Appearance: Mizu is a standard sized man, 5'8', with glasses. He has brown eyes and black hair in a slightly messy, enigmatic look. His build is thin, but not unhealthily so.
When pursuing leisure activities, he wears some sort of graphic tee with jeans and tennis shoes. His winter look consists of a sweater with jeans and snow boots or normal boots, weather pending. He also wears a toboggan and ear muffs to help keep the cold out.
In the digital world, or when doing field research, Mizu wears a full set of hiking clothes, with an old white lab coat tied around his waist. He carries his large hiking backpack as well, filled with the supplies he needs. He also wears long socks and trekking boots, with a straw hat from his dad to finish the ensemble. He will sometimes leave out the hat and tie his hair together to keep it from getting caught.
Personal History: Mizu was born in Susukino in Sapporo. He grew up in a relatively poor household, spending most of his time helping out with the family restaurant and going to school. His parents were rigorous, both academically and socially. Their son would accept nothing but the highest honors, the most advanced courses, the most extra credit, and very few, specially curated friends. It was harsh, but his upbringing did prepare him to be at the top of his academics, graduating at the top of his class.
Mizu then enrolled at University of Tokyo, where he quickly graduated with his B.S. in Biosciences. Afterward, Mizu made the decision to leave Japan for the US to finish his terminal degrees, feeling that he was better off receiving education there. His father gave him a straw hat before he left, unsure of when he was going to come back.
Eight years and a doctorate later, Mizu returned to Japan as his father was nearing the end of his life. His mother also was dying, with them passing in quick succession. The shock caused Mizu to leave the country, traveling abroad and doing independent research. Only recently, he moved to Shibuya to conduct Oceanography research for the city of Tokyo.

Personality: Rubra is a polar opposite to Mizu, an emotional, charismatic little ball of energy. She is always trying to be the light of the room, making people and Digimon happy so that all can feel their best. She also will attempt to stop combat whenever she is capable, as that makes people happy (as far as her slightly limited worldview sometimes understands). She is hard to upset, even in the worst of times, but when she falls, she falls hard.
As a result of her bubbly demeanor, Rubra can sometimes annoy those who don't feel the same, including Mizu. She is also prone to go berserk when she needs to protect someone and there are no options left. However, in sitations where victory is impossible, Rubra will flee, but still attempt to save as many as she is capable of saving.
As she evolves, her personality will become more defined. She will still help all those in need, but she takes these actions much more seriously, making sure she is putting what she feels is her duty first.

Coral Pressure: Rubra shoots a pressurized stream of water out of her arms, doing minimal damage to Rookies and lower.
Refuge Mist: Rubra, when threatened, shoots poison out into a cloud around her, making it slightly more difficult for Digimon to hit her, as well as causing a slight stinging sensation to Rookies and below, with the cloud lasting for 2 turns. 3 turn recharge.
Coral Armor [Combat Passive]: Rubra's hard coral shell allows her to shrug off some hits, or at the very least, reduce the damage she takes. This slightly reduces damage from Rookie Digimon and lower attacks, unless they have some sort of armor penetration.
Rolling Tides [Combat Passive]: Rubra's body is built to live in the water, allowing her to be incredibly fast when in it. Digimon Rookie and lower have a hard time landing hits on her. However, on land, her body is much more sluggish and prone to being hit. All Digimon have a much easier time landing attacks on Rubra.

Water Whips: Rubra summons water to slap the opponent with, doing medium damage to opponent's her level or lower. Takes two turns to recharge.
