Ugh.
Daisy woke up with a throbbing pain in her head, her eyes unable to focus on anything around her. Are those... trees? She could barely tell. Where is she? She used her left hand to prop herself up into a sitting position while her right hand rubbed her temples, hoping that it would help the pain in her head go away.
She took a good look around her - trees, mud, ferns. What? Just a second ago, she was in the city, having brunch with her friends! How did she end up here? In a jungle? What? The trees were packed so densely together, she could barely see the sky. She was surrounded by darkness... and she was terribly alone.
There were a million and one questions buzzing around in her little head as she struggled to make sense of her current predicament. "Ugh," she let out a soft groan as the throbbing pain in her head wasn't getting any better. Oh, wait a minute... A hazy memory floated around her mind as she tried to recall the thing she did before she blacked out. Riiiiiight. Her memory is coming back now - the device was just laying on the ground, beeping angrily, which caught her attention as she walked past it. When her fingers were about to make physical contact, a ray of bright light engulfed her and...
Then she woke up here.
Daisy was a timid one and never one that fancies big changes in her life. Being all alone in this unknown place was making her shiver in fear. Where exactly is she...? Kidnapped? But her hands and feet weren't tied up like what they always show in the movies. Maybe she should try and find her way out of there, and hopefully, the next person she meets would be a friendly one, and definitely not a ghost or anything.
Just then, she heard a soft beep. Her head jerked towards the sound of the beep and there it was! The device that she touched right before that weird light engulfed her. And next to it was an exceptionally large egg. What...?
Just then, she heard the leaves rustle. Terrified and unsure of what to do, she hugged the egg for emotional support, still sitting down in the middle of nowhere as her legs turned into jelly.

Demi was zigzagging between the trees with his arms mimicking a plane. Desmond would be a bit behind not really minding what was happening around him. The fireball was having a lot of fun feeling the bark of the many trees and hearing the leaves above rustling. It was like a calm melody of nature and he wished that he could climb one of those larger trees. After a few minutes of running around, he heard a beeping sound. It was very subtle but he was sure that he heard something. However, he wasn't sure where it came from exactly. He stopped moving for a second before spinning on himself hoping that he would hear the beeping again. Unfortunately, it was just the sound of the woods and nothing more.
"Demi." Desmond called his partner while navigating between the trees. "Where are you?" He asked out loud. The Digimon turned around and shouted to his tamer. "Desmond! I'm here!" His voice was loud enough for everything close by to hear. It would take a few seconds for the duo to reunite. The blond tamer picked up his little partner who was more than happy to be higher off the ground. "I heard something!" He said while looking around him. "What did you hear?" Desmond asked with a neutral tone. Maybe it was a Digimon that was also just idling nearby. "It was a beep!"
"It could have been a machine Digimon." The tamer simply said. It was uncommon for those kinds of Digimon to be around here but it could be possible. And then another beep could be heard. This time it came from the human's Digivice. "That's the beep I heard!" Demi quickly said. Desmond placed the fireball back to the ground and took out his Digivice. There was a small blue dot on the screen. That usually meant that someone was nearby. It tends to react to other Digivices. Looking at the direction of the blue dot, he deducted that they should be pretty closeby. Might as well see if it was indeed a tamer.
"Come, Demi." The Frenchman said while pointing to the east. "Can I go see?" Demi then asked with curiosity in his big blue eyes. "Please?" He seemed very eager to see who was around. Desmond smiled and laughed a bit. "Yes, you can." The DemiMeramon threw his arms into the air in joy before floating away. "Wheeee!" The tamer would follow the little Digimon while keeping his little device in hand.
After a few more seconds, Demi saw something or rather, someone hugging an egg. It was someone with blond hair and quite smaller than Desmond. The fireball floated silently to be right behind to the girl and tried to peek at the egg without saying anything. It would take him a second before poking the girl. "Hi!" He said out loud not knowing that he might have spook her by doing so. "I'm Demi!" The Digimon said before waving his hand and smiling.
Desmond would arrive as he heard his partner saying "Hi' way too loud. "Demi..." He then stopped as he saw the girl with blond hair. He facepalmed and sighed at the same time before putting his Digivice into his pocket. "Demi, give her some space." He would say in a fatherly tone. "It's okay, we're friends." He swiftly added hopîng that the girl wasn't going to run away or scream or both.
"Are you okay?"

Daisy almost screamed her lungs out when she felt something touch her from behind. Almost. But she couldn't - she was too consumed by pure fear to be able to do anything. She did the next best thing her brain could think of... She shut her eyes tightly, still hugging the egg for any form of emotional support.
Maybe if she wish hard enough, she would wake up and realise that this was all just a bad, bad dream.
She heard a voice speaking to her, but she was still unwilling to open her eyes. Shaking and shivering in fear, she was pretty sure that she was going to die right there and then. Poor Daisy was never a brave soul and would prefer staying at home instead of being outdoors. Finding herself all alone in this pitch dark forest was close to all of her nightmares coming real to eat her up alive.
Another voice came from the side but she was still unwilling to open her eyes. It sounded kind, but Daisy wasn't sure if her heart would be emotionally ready for whatever was waiting for her on the other side. The voice asked if she was okay and to be honest, Daisy wasn't sure if she was.
She felt fine physically, but emotionally wise...?
The voice didn't feel dangerous at the slightest, and it felt gentle. Kinda. Maybe she could ask them for some help to get back home. She kept one eye closed and opened the other just a teeny weeny bit.
"I-I'm okay," she replied in a soft shaky voice, still trembling in fear, too timid to lift her head and make eye contact.

Demi was waiting for a reaction from the blonde girl but didn't have much. Instead of waiting, he made his way to the opposite side of the egg and slowly began hugging it as well. He could feel a certain warmth from the egg, even when he was made of fire. He didn't say anything at first, he just hugged and smiled. He wasn't even sure if the poor girl even saw him do that. Desmond could see what was happening but didn't say anything right away. It was kind of funny seeing both of them holding on to a Digi-Egg. While he wasn't entirely sure, he did think that maybe, just maybe, she might be new around here. Better give her a bit more time.
Unfortunately, he forgot that if she were to open her eyes and look at Demi, she might freak out seeing a floating fireball in front of her. The tamer just stood there waiting for something to happen. "Desmond!" The Digimon then shouted probably a bit too loud. "You should come too!" He eagerly proposed. To this, Desmond shook his head and crossed his arms. "Don't shout, Demi." He said in his fatherly tone. Hopefully, that sudden shouting did not scare the girl even more.
The Frenchman would wait for just a bit longer before also going to the opposite side to be in front of the scared girl so that she could see that he did not look menacing at all. He was just stood there, with Demi giggling while still hugging his side of the egg. Looking around them to make sure that they were alone, the blond tamer sighed and went down on one knee and placed his left hand on the fireball and be at eye level. "Are you alright?" He asked the question again not really sure what else to say to her.
"I mean, take your time." He swiftly added. "Just know that we are not going to hurt you in any way." He paused for a second before hearing his partner shout again. "We're friends!" Desmond sighed at how loud the Digimon could be. A heavy sigh came out of the tamer before speaking. "I'm Desmond, this is Demi." He softly said. "I'm Demi!"
"What's your name?"

With one tiny eye opened, she saw something red reach out and touch the egg that she was hugging. She was close to fainting from shock and all she could think of in her mind was: this is it, this is how i'm gonna die.
Wait, who's Desmond?
Daisy was tempted to move her head and have a good look at whoever - or whatever - was standing there right next to her. She wasn't the bravest soul in the world, but definitely a curious one. If she's going to die at that exact moment, maybe it'd be nice to know who her killer was. At least she'd know who to haunt in the after-life.
Reluctantly, she lifted her head to see a guy kneeling right before her. He didn't seemed dangerous with his short blond hair and black rimmed glasses. She exhaled in relief - thankful that it wasn't a ghost or anything.
"I'm fi---" her sentence was cut off mid-way as a child-like voice came from the side which startled her slightly. The girl turned her head towards the voice but all she saw was a little floating fireball. Wha--?
She blinked a couple of times, unsure of what she was looking at. Her round amber eyes shifted between the guy and the fireball. He didn't seemed too fazed about it and apparently it has a name - Demi. She wasn't too sure how to deal with this. Was she hallucinating? She must have hit her head pretty hard. Yup, that must be it.
"I'm Daisy," she answered his question in a soft voice, her left hand rubbing her aching temples slightly. They definitely didn't seem to be giving off any soft of murderous vibes, but who knows? Ted Bundy was known for his charisma too. But Daisy was finding it difficult to be too wary of them - she can be way too trusting to a fault sometimes. "Where am I? I was walking along Shibuya and then I ended up here," she queried, having absolutely no idea of what had happened.
The throbbing pain in her head wasn't getting any better, and it was starting to give her a bad headache but Daisy was still trying to hold in the pain to the best of her capabilities. There are more things to worry about such as her current location and the fireball that's looking at her with big round eyes. "Friends...?" she asked further, unsure of what to do with that piece of information. The guy - Desmond - definitely seemed to know the fireball well.
"And also... Which animal did this egg come from?"

Desmond felt lucky that Daisy didn't freak out and ran away. The woods aren't always safe so she coming face to face to a wild Digimon is a real possibility. The tamer stood up, dusted his knee, and smiled at her. "Nice to meet you, Daisy." He said in a soft voice. He was being as calm as possible to reassure the girl that she was safe with them. "Daisy!" Demi then shouted as he threw his little arms into the air. It was very easy to see that the Digimon was more than happy learning new names. "Desmond?" He turned around to face his tamer and asked a question. "Is daisy also a flower?" Desmond nodded. "Yes, daisy is a flower." To this, the fireball turned back to look at the girl and waved his hand to her. "I bet you smell like flowers! Can I give you a hug?"
The human rolled his eyes. Well, at least he asked first. "Don't worry, he won't burn you. You will feel the warmth but it won't burn you." Demi was now smiling from ear to ear if he had ears but anyway, it was a big smile. He stayed still waiting for her to either accept his hug or not. Desmond would just wait and sighed. "He might not take a no for an answer so if you don't mind, just let him hug you." The Digimon would inch closer slowly to not startle the girl. He stopped about two inches away and then went for a hug, pressing his face into her. "Ooooooh! She smells like daisies!" Of course, she did. Demi would hold on to the hug for maybe a bit too long before letting go. He giggled and then looked at the egg. He hugged the egg once more trying to listen if he could something inside the egg.
"Thanks for letting him hug you, Daisy." Desmond said still standing still. "Now here's come the crazy talk. You are in the Digital World." He paused to see how the girl would react. "It's not a dream, it is very real." Pausing once more, he pointed at his little partner and the Digi-Egg. "Demi is a Digimon. They come in all shape and size, like the animals in our world but they are... Unique. Take Demi as an example. He is made of fire and can breathe fire as well. There are dinosaurs, living machines, and a lot more." He paused again for a second to take out his Digivice. "You should have one of those. It's a Digivice. There are all kinds of them so yours would be different from mine."
"It's a very useful Device, so keep it safe and on you at all times. I'll explain more as we go." After saying that, Demi began shouting again. "I think it moved!" He said out loud while turning his attention to Daisy. "Come! Listen!" Desmond sighed. He knew that his partner meant well but he was very if too energetic. "To answer your question, that is a Digi-Egg. I'm not sure how it works. When a Digimon dies, they come back as an egg. There could be another way for an egg to appear though but I'm not sure."
"I can feel it getting warmer!" Demi began rubbing his face on the shell. "I guess we will find out what's inside the Digi-Egg very soon."

The boy felt warm and genuine, and Daisy couldn't help but lower her defenses the more he spoke. His voice was kind and gentle, which was helpful in calming the poor girl's nerves. The couch potato wouldn't last a day in a foreign country all by herself, and finding herself in a strange jungle? That's a killer. Before she could respond to Desmond, the fireball tackled her with a hug.
Amber eyes widened in shock as she expected herself to be burnt into a crisp with the flames making contact with her skin - but all she felt was something toasty warm touching her. Weird. Very weird. She blinked a few times, unsure of what she should do. Being a full-time introvert, it was hard for her to be as open with her feelings as Demi, although it was certainly something she admired. "Thank you...?" she replied cautiously to Demi's comments about her smelling like daisies, and the girl found herself smiling without realizing it. It seemed like the fireball wasn't some sort of scary monster - well, it certainly looked like one, but not scary on the inside.
"It's alright," Daisy replied when the boy thanked her for letting Demi hug her. It wasn't like she had a choice, she was kinda forced into it... But it felt nice. She was starting to grow fond of the little one.
As the boy explained to her where she was with the sudden influx of information, she could feel the throbbing pain in her head get worse. "Wait, am I on a reality tv show right now...?" she queried, finding his story hard to believe. "Or maybe I just had a bad concussion and you're all fragments of my imagination," she added on, rubbing her head slightly.
But the device that the boy mentioned... She definitely saw that before waking up in this strange place, and she saw it right before Desmond showed up. She took it out and showed it to him, wondering if that's the so-called Digivice that he mentioned.
"This?"
Demi's loud voice made Daisy jump slightly as the soft-spoken girl still wasn't too used to Demi's volume. She was so concentrated on the information giving by Desmond to realize that something inside the egg was moving. Apparently, it's a digi-egg. Interesting - and also, not a very creative name.
"So... Whatever is inside it is a Digimon? Another fire-ball?" she asked, slightly confused. She hoped that Desmond wouldn't think that she's dumb for all the questions that she was asking out loud, but it was really, really, hard for her to absorb everything at face value. The poor girl is definitely trying her best... But sometimes, her best just wasn't enough.
A small crack started to appear at the side of the egg and Daisy continued holding it on her lap, unsure of what to do. What if it breaks and kills whatever is inside if she dropped it onto the ground? She was definitely scared of whatever was inside, but she couldn't forgive herself if she hurt a little baby creature - even if it's by accident.
It didn't take too long for a little green blob to emerge from the egg, and Daisy stared at it with a bewildered look. "I thought it's gonna be surrounded in flames... Like Demi," she commented, eyes still fixated on the little one. It was strangely adorable and it looks like a little green tadpole with a unicorn horn right on its head. "So... cute..." she gushed, her trembling fingers touching its head gently.
"Meep?" the little creature let out a sound as it jumped onto Daisy's lap. A smile appeared on the girl's face once more as she looked at it in amazement, her hand still touching its head gently. "Hello, I'm Daisy," she whispered softly to the creature.
"Hel-lululululu ~" the creature answered, which took Daisy by surprise. She wasn't expecting the creature to talk at all! Weird, weird, weird, weird weird. "Hel-lululululululu," the little green tadpole repeated again which made Daisy giggle. It was weirdly adorable, in a good way, and Daisy feels the need to protect it at all costs. Maybe that's the feeling mama chickens get when their babies hatch from their eggs. It seemed like the creature can't really speak much, but simply repeating whatever the girl has said.
Her digivice lit up all of a sudden, with words and a picture. "It shows here that he's Zerimon," the girl read out loud, looking at Desmond and Demi for more answers. With a small smile, she added, "I think he looks more like a Lulu."

Desmond couldn't help but chuckle upon seeing Daisy and Demi hugging. She didn't seem that comfortable but at least she wasn't screaming murder. While Demi was still trying to feel movement in the Digi-Egg, the blond tamer shook his head. "Nope, not a reality Tv show." He softly said. "You can look around, you won't find any cameras that I can assure you." He would wait for a second for her to do so if she wished before going to scratch his chin. "However, we are figments of your imagination." He said in his most dead-serious tone. He then smiled quickly after. "Just kidding, we're real. And as for your concussion, maybe, I'm no doctor."
The Frenchman took a good look at Daisy's Digivice and nodded. The colors were different and the shape as well but he seen that shape before, it was a real one. "That makes you one of us then." It took him a second to realize that he might have it sounded like she just joined a cult. "I mean, you are a tamer." That word might not mean much to her without context though. "There are a few more things you should know..." As he was going to explain more when he saw Demi looking at the egg with his big blue eyes while pointing at it. "It's moving!" The blond tamer took a step forward to see what kind of Digimon would come out of it without saying a word.
When the baby Digimon emerged, Demi threw his arms into the air in celebration. "Yay!" The fireball began waving his arm up and down to grab the attention of the small Zerimon. "Hullo!" He shouted to make sure that the newly born Digimon was looking at him. It was his first time seeing a birth that close and he found the guy just so cute and maybe very squishy. That thought made him want to poke it as he inches closer with his right arm's finger-pointing. "Demi, stop." His tamer stopped him with his voice. "I just wanted to see if he's squishy!" The Digimon looked at the Frenchman would shake his head in disapproval. "Give him some space." The fireball appeared sad for a moment looking at the ground. Desmond sighed. "Ask Daisy first. And be gentle." Demi quickly turned his full attention to the new tamer and gave her his best puppy eyes. "Can I touch him?" He asked with a large smile. "Please, please, please?"
Desmond knew that Demi didn't mean to be pushy, he was just curious. A small meep came out of the Zerimon and Demi turned around and then titled his head on one side. "Meep?" He tried to mimic the baby Digimon. "Meep!" He was trying to sound as happy as he could. It didn't take long for him to make some sounds. "Hu? Lulululu!" Demi repeated after him. Desmond could see that Daisy looked maybe a bit confused yet enthralled by her new partner. He knew that the newly born Digimon was in good hands.
Standing up, the human wait for a bit for the two to bond. He wanted them to feel that bond between a tamer and their partner. "Lulu does sound nice." He then said with a gentle voice. "Lulu!" Demi wasn't sure if he could even understand them as he no memory of him being at that stage. "I'm Demi!" the fireball waved at the green blob with a horn.
Desmond waited for a bit longer. "He, I mean, Lulu. He will grow big, that I'm sure. He might need your protection right now but you'll see that one day, he will be the one protecting you." He didn't want to say too much about how dangerous this world can be so he tried to find the right words to say in his mind. "Welcome to the world, Lulu."
"Welcome!"

Pink hues coloured her cheeks as Demi looked at her with loving puppy eyes, pleading to touch the little green tadpole on her lap. She wasn't sure why they were asking her for permission - wasn't it just a random Digimon that they've encountered? But the girl complied and went along with the flow - she has always been a follower, not a leader.
"Sure you can," she answered with a small smile. She wondered if the tadpole would grow up to with a personality similar to Demi... and she hoped that he would because she was starting to grow fond of Demi. "Just be a little gentle," she added on. She knows that Demi wouldn't hurt it, but she couldn't help but feel like a protective mother bear.
Demi started mimicking the sound that the little digimon made which made the girl giggle uncontrollably. It was such a strange scene to watch, yet extremely adorable. For a very very brief moment, Daisy thought that this place wasn't that bad afterall. Maybe it's just a world filled with adorable creatures like Demi and Lulu. That doesn't seem that bad... does it?
"Helulululululu ~" the little digimon repeated in a cheery voice every time Demi mentioned the word 'lulu'. Black round eyes blinked curiously as he stared at the fire-ball, before repeating, "I'm Demi, I'm Demi, I'm Demi." Their interaction made Daisy smile and she put her index finger on Lulu's head, tapping him gently on the forehead. "No, no, he's Demi and Desmond, I'm Daisy and you're Lulu," she informed him in a soft voice but the little one simply responded with "lululululululu".
The girl turned her attention back to Desmond, her amber eyes filled with curiosity and slight disbelief. Lulu protecting her in the future? This tiny little adorable fluff ball? That felt a little hard for her to believe - just like this entire day. She figured that anything could happen here, and she gave Desmond a slight nod of her head to let him know that she's got his message.
"Is this entire world filled with trees? Like... prehistoric era?" Daisy queried, her eyes looking at the canopy of trees surrounding them. She could barely see the sky above them with the thick layer of leaves overhead.
Just then, her stomach growled and her cheeks turned crimson red. How embarrassing! Still blushing fervently, she remained silent, but Lulu heard the growl and started to mimic it.
"Grrrrrrrr ~?"

Demi was all smile when Daisy gave him permission to poke Lulu. The Digimon slowly got into arm's length and began giggling. Using a finger, he softly touched the Zerimon for a second before poking. He was kind of squishy to him. He giggled some more as he looked at Daisy and then Desmond. "He's squishy!" He said out loud to the two tamers. He was going for another poke when he heard his tamer clear his voice signalling that he should not. "Be gentle, Demi." The fireball nodded and turned his attention back to Lulu. "Lulululu?" He tried to mimic his tone like a little kid. That scene also made Desmond smile. It was the first time for them to actually see the birth of a Digimon and Demi seemed quite happy about that. When Lulu began saying Demi's name a few times, the child Digimon lifted both arms into the air and laughed. "Oh, oh. I'm Lulu!" He was trying to make the Zerimon say his own name.
Desmond was still standing there looking at the two Digimon playing together. It made him remember why he keeps coming back to the Digital World. Those small moments are totally worth it. The blond tamer waited for a second before answering Daisy's question. "Actually, no." He began explaining. "This world is quite vast, not as much that the Earth we know but still. All kinds of different places. Deserts, ocean, snow and even an underground city with neon lights and machine Digimon." It would have been easier if he had access to some kind of a map on him. He took out his Digivice and pressed on a combination of buttons. All he could see was a grid with a blue dot at the center of it. To be fair, he didn't really take the time to try out all the functions of that little device. One day, he might just sit down and try every combination he can think of. He kept his eyes on the screen for a moment before putting it back into his pocket.
"However... There are places that are safer than others." He didn't really want to go through too many details since she just landed in here a few minutes ago. "Let's just say that there's a lot of Digimon and that some are quite, unpleasant." He wasn't sure if that was the word he was looking for but oh well. "We are safe here though, so don't worry too much." He then looked up at the sky like she did and did notice how the leaves were big. He was about to ask if she wanted to get up into the tree and look at the landscape but something seemed to have happened. Her cheeks went red and Desmond did not hear her stomach growling. Demi did hear it though and he looked at Lulu thinking that it was him that was hungry. He then quickly turned his attention to the girl and saw how red she became. "Grrr?" He repeated after Lulu.
It took a second for Desmond to understand what was going on. At first, he had no clue why the two Digimon began making that sound. "I'm guessing you are, hungry?" He softly asked. The fireball spun on himself and began nodding frantically. "Daisy is hungry!" He began talking way too loud again. He poked Lulu once more before giggling. "I think Lulu Is hungry too!" The fire Digimon was hungry as well but he is always hungry. "Hmm..." The Frenchman took a moment to think to see where the nearest place to find food would be at. There weren't a lot of places nearby but if they are lucky they might find one of those random vending machines. Going to Rosewood City would be the best solution but it wasn't technically very close.
"Well, time to find food then." Desmond said before taking out his Digivice. He wasn't sure if it would work but he pressed and held the button down for a second. The blue dot on the grid moved to the east. Such a strange device. Well, it was better than just randomly going in a direction and get lost. The jungle was quite thick, to be honest. The blond tamer would wait for Daisy to stand up and for Demi to go toward him. However, the little fireball hugged the legs of Lulu's tamer while giggling. "Daisy smells like daisies!" After nudging his face on her for a second, Demi would go to meet his tamer and Desmond lifted him off the ground and into his arms. "Let's go that way." he said while pointing to the east. "You are okay to walk?" He then asked to make sure. She did just landed in here so maybe she did hit her head.

Hearing that the world was much, much bigger than she thought, she started to feel a sense of dread inside her. She wasn't a tough soul, and being stuck in an unknown world was bad enough. Her amber eyes made contact with Desmond and she flashed a small meek smile. Guess she just have to do her best to survive somehow.
"I like snow," she commented, trying her best to keep the bad thoughts out of her head. "And the underground city sounds absolutely amazing."
Her head tilt to the side as she watched Desmond fiddled about with his digivice curiously. Does it actually have other functions apart from being beeping incessantly? Hearing that they are safe where they were made her give a sigh of relief. She's definitely in no condition to be fearing for her life - especially not after her little brain almost exploded from the influx of information.
"Unpleasant like... murderous type? Like a polar bear?" she asked, hoping to find out more.
Red hues remained on her cheeks as Demi exposed the girl's hunger, and the little tadpole in her arms certainly wasn't helping with his constant echoing of the sound. "Some food would be great," she answered meekly. "I'm alright... I think," she said as she tried to stand. Her muscles were a little numb from sitting on the ground for such a long period of time, but it didn't take too long for her to feel her legs once more.
Her eyes looked towards the direction that Desmond has pointed out, and she took a couple of steps forward, still cuddling Lulu in her arms. "This direction...?" she asked hesitantly, her eyes unable to see anything from the far, far distance apart from more trees. But she had full faith in Desmond and the group started moving along, wandering deeper and deeper into the forest.
As they walked, Daisy decided to make some small talk to keep the warm, comfortable mood going. Being in the forest in the dark was making her feel kind of uneasy.
"So... Are you from Earth as well?" She asked, feeling kinda stupid after the words left her mouth. "I mean, you know, like..." she stuttered as she tried to salvage her statement but the damage was done.

Desmond smiled at Daisy when she said that she likes snow. He then turned his attention to Demi who nodded as well. "Well, you are not alone." He said softly. "Snow wasn't really present in my younger years so I guess it's okay." He wasn't so sure about the cold and everything but his partner did like playing in the white snow. Many would think that a ball of fire would try to avoid cold things but for Demi, it was a chance to dress in silly hats and scarves. "I can take you there if you want to see it. Maybe next time though, you will freeze with those clothing." To be frank, he too would freeze just wearing his usual attire, and Demi might as well so it would be safer to not go there right away. "As for the underground city, well, it's not the happiest of places but I guess it's okay as well?" The one time he got there was to get Demi his missing arm and he could remember vividly how that went. Not the best moment he spent there.
The blond tamer laughed upon hearing the words polar bear. "I never met one. But I'm pretty sure that there's at least one of them, if not many." He couldn't be a hundred percent sure because he didn't really visit that part of the Digital World that much. "However, they might be bigger than you think. Or smaller too depending on how big you are imagining them to be." He did avoid answering to her first question though. Maybe it was better to not tell her that yes, there were some Digimon that wants to do evil. She was hungry, well, they were all hungry to be fair.
Fortunately, his Digivice was still pointing toward the same direction. There were certain trees in the way but nothing too big to go around it. The sun was pretty well hidden though and the sound of things flapping their wings could be heard from above. Desmond wasn't afraid knowing that Demi was right there if something bad would happen. And he knew that showing fear might make Daisy feel uneasy. So he just walked slowly to make sure that the new tamer was still behind him. Her question that if he was from Earth did make him laugh. "Yes, I am from planet Earth." It wasn't a stupid question though seeing that he didn't really look like he would be from Shibuya. Which is exactly where she came from if his theory is true. So far, every person he met in the Digital World came from Shibuya. Why? He had no clue but so far, they are all from Shibuya. "I'm from Shibuya." He then said while walking. "But I'm French if that was the question you were asking." He paused to look at his Digivice before asking her the same question. "How about you? Always been in Shibuya?"
After a few seconds, there were fewer foliages and soon they reached a clearance. And there was something at one edge of the clearance. Desmond shielded his eyes from the sun with his right hand to make sure that he was indeed seeing what he was seeing. There was a large fridge in front of them next to a table. While not the strangest thing he saw so far but still pretty weird. The Frenchman stopped moving for a moment before slowly getting closer to make sure that it wasn't a trap or something. He looked around, up and down, left and right but it did seem like a pretty legit fridge. "I guess that is lunch?" He asked the question to everyone including to himself. He got closer and pulled the door open and what he could see was kind of vending machine kind of thing. There were only eggs in it at first then he looked down and saw utensils in a locked container with a little number pad next to it. Curious, Desmond would press on the number one to see what would happen. A small beeping sound was heard but nothing happened.
He then passes his Digivice in front of the number pad and pressed one once more after hearing another beep. The container would open and a set of plastic utensils came out of it. Well, that was convenient. As for the eggs, they were just there, looking nice and well like an egg. He took one to make sure and well, still an egg. They would have to eat them raw? The blond tamer then looked at the table. There's was a frying pan on it but no place for a fire. He took a second to think and then, Demi poked at him. "Can I see?" he asked trying to look past his tamer. Desmond smiled, well, eggs and plate and fire. That sounds like a good deal.
"Daisy, Lulu, we have lunch." He said joyfully. He took the frying pan and placed it on Demi's head. The fireball looked at it confused for a moment. "Is that a hat?" He asked while holding it with his tiny arms. "Kind of." Desmond said with a smile. "It's a pan, I need to you heat it up so I can cook the eggs for you." Demi smiled broadly. He heard the word cook and eggs in the same sentence and was now very happy about it. "Just hold it still okay?"
With Demi now balancing the frying pan on his head Desmond went to get more eggs. Thinking that Lulu might not even be able to hold on a fork, he only took one more set of utensils for Daisy before leaning on the table. "Have a seat, I guess?

Amber eyes lit up as the boy shared more information about the place that they were in, despite an impending sense of nervousness and wary creeping up within her. She has never been one that enjoys exploring the unknown, but it didn't seemed that scary as the boy continued to speak. Slowly, a small little imagery of a peaceful winter wonderland conjured in her mind. Little did she know that the world was completely different from what she expected it to be.
She perked up when the boy mentioned Shibuya - a place that she was finally familiar with. "Yes, I am, I am!" the words fumbled out of her mouth as she spoke excitedly. "I mean, I'm from Alaska, but I came here from Shibuya. I was offered a scholarship at the University of Tokyo so I moved to Shibuya..." her voice trailing off as she spoke. The girl was starting to worry about being stuck at the digital world and being unable to complete her scholarship. She tried to push the bad thoughts aside - it would do no good if she kept letting them prevent her from functioning properly. Trying to keep a light hearted mood ongoing, she continued, "maybe you can show me around Shibuya when we get back," she gave a small smile. "I just arrived not too long ago, and I'm still on the search for the best waffle place around."
It didn't take too long for the pair to venture out of the foliage. And there it was - a fridge in the middle of nowhere, next to a lake. Her eyes widened in surprise at what she was seeing, but the boy seemed calm, as though it was a normal occurrence. The girl simply tagged along, amber eyes scanning at every little detail around them. Words were hard for her to conjure as her brain was overloaded, struggling to process whatever that was around them.
She nodded and took a seat, placing Lulu gently on the table. She wasn't sure what was going on, but... "Demi's flames were nice and warm when I touched her earlier on, is it hot enough to cook the eggs?" she asked. "Thank you," she smiled as the boy handed her the utensils. It didn't take too long for the lovely aroma of cooked eggs waft into the air around them. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Lulululu," chirped the little digimon, started to get excited at the prospects of getting some delicious eggs in his tummy.

Desmond was surprised when Daisy said that she had a scholarship to the University of Tokyo. Not that he didn't think that she a bright but she sure didn't look old enough to be at the university. He has never been to a university so maybe it's open to younger people now. He didn't really have a clue. He wasn't sure if he should ask her about her age thinking that it might be rude to ask a lady her age. Choosing to not ask right away, he instead asked about her birthplace. "Alaska? You must miss the cold." He said before laughing a bit while cooking one of the eggs. "Unless you hated the cold, not judging at all." He wasn't really paying much attention to anything but making nice-looking omelettes. "Can you go a bit hotter, Demi?" He then asked his partner who giggled. "Yes!" He said out loud and his body temperature got up by a few degrees. "Demi can control how hot his body can be. Most of the time, he just warm but on occasion like this one, he can get pretty hot." He slowly flipped the egg and then spoke some more. "How many eggs do you want, Daisy? Oh, and ask Lulu too." The Frenchman then place his omelettes on a plate and carefully placed it on the table. "Yours is next, Demi."
"Yay!" It was easy to see that the little fireball was quite happy. "Can I have two? Oh, oh, I want three!" Desmond wasn't going to say no to that since he was using him to cook the eggs. "Okay, Demi. Hold still, alright?" He said before going to open the fridge once more. He took three eggs and cracked them open letting the inside drop into the pan. He knew that Demi wasn't a fussy eater so he will just make scrambled eggs for him. Using the spatula, he waited for a bit and then made little chunk with the spatula. After that, he would make sure that everyone had their lunch before making one last batch for himself. Usually, he would have asked Demi to use a fork but he was always shoving food into his mouth with his tiny hands. It was him that made the cooking possible so he will let this one slide. The blond tamer would sit down next to Daisy and her partner before breaking the yolk with the fork.
"So, sorry if I sound rude but, how old are you?" Now that they were relaxing, he thought that this would be a good time to chit chat. "I mean, you kind of look young to be at the University of Tokyo..." He said that very slowly hoping that she won't take it as an insult because it wasn't one at all, he was just curious. She was more than a foot smaller than he was so she did look like a maybe teenager? It was hard to tell. At least for him, it was hard. He would let her answer while taking a bit and then wonder if there is anything to drink around here. He did not see any kind of drink in the fridge so maybe they would have to do without. He then looked at the lake. They could boil water and drink it. But he wasn't thirsty yet so he just turned his attention back to the girl.
Before she could answer, he felt Demi tugging his pants. He looked down and saw the Digimon smiling. "Can I sit on the table?" He asked as he wanted to look at Daisy and Lulu. Desmond took a moment to think about it. Well, technically, he was floating so he wouldn't make the table dirty. "Please?" He made that sound last longer making his tamer laugh. "Sure, here." He twisted his body to pick up the little fireball and then decided to place him on the chair next to him instead. The Digimon was just high enough to be able to look over the table. Demi would wave at Lulu joyfully hoping that she will react to him trying to get his attention. "Lululu!"

"Definitely! Especially winter outfits and the comforting feeling when you get to wrap yourself up in cozy layers," she grinned as she started reminiscing about her days back in Alaska, huddling around their fireplace with her family. The girl couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness, a sudden wave of home sickness hitting her hard. She forced herself not to think about it as it would simply make her feel worse. There's no point in worrying about something that can't be fixed.
Watching the boy and his partner working together lifted her spirits - she secretly wondered if the little blob next to her would one day grow bigger and develop a relationship as close as theirs. That would be nice.
"Oh, two for me please, and um..." her eyes glanced over at the little green blob. "Lululululu," came his reply. "How many... eggs? For you?" she asked, wondering if the baby digimon could understand what she was saying. But the little one simply replied with the exact same number of 'lu's. "Maybe five for him. I'm guessing..." she ended with an awkward laughter.
"Not rude at all," she smiled at his question, feeling that the boy was as polite as one can be. "I'll take that as a compliment! I'm twenty-one, and I'm actually one of the older ones in my class... I think most of them are about nineteen or twenty, I didn't really ask for their ages," she laughed. As they chatted more, she could feel herself being less nervous as compared to a couple of hours ago. It still feels surreal, waking up to find herself in a forest that's far away from home, but on the bright side, she has a feeling that she's in good hands.
"How about you?" she asked, curious to know more about the guy that most likely holds the key to bring her back home. "I feel that our ages should be quite close to each other."
She giggled when the little fireball joined them at the table, and the little green blob actually pounced playfully at Demi, his little tail flailing about as he moved. "Lulu! Oh gosh, I'm sorry Demi. I think he's trying to play with you," she apologized frantically, hoping that the fireball wouldn't be upset about being tackled so suddenly.
