"At least I have the kinda charm that doesn't creep other people out like what you're doing," Kazuo countered back at Jack White, since he felt like he was being personally attacked by this clown. He had to defend his own confidence!
The alley was definitely not that ideal of a place to be since it was kinda dark and dirty. But at least it allowed for the Digimon to be seen without anyone else noticing. Since they were alone, Kazuo decided to take off the outfit for now, giving it to Yuji to put into his backpack. "Don't worry about if someone randomly decides to come down here. My Digivice has a program to suck Kazuo into it without anyone noticing," Yuji felt the need to tell "Jack".
Yuko would finally join the others in the alley a few minutes later, with the bags of food of course. Like Yuko, Yuji and Kazuo also ignored Jack White's flashy introduction as Jokermon as they each accepted their meals. Kazuo perked up when Yuko mentioned she got his meal in an extra large. "Thank you so much, miss!"
Yuji raised an eyebrow when Yuko mentioned she got an Avocado Cheeseburger. "Who would willingly put avocado on a burger?" he asked before he took a bite of his own burger. Meanwhile Kazuo wasted no time digging into his own meal, starting with the fries first. If Yuko had ever seen a rookie Digimon eat before, this scene would look very similar.
"So, tell me, Himura-senpai... how did you become a Tamer and meet, er... Jokermon, was it?" That name was a little too on the nose, in the teen's eyes. "It seems like everyone's story starts differently, you know?"

The demonic jester pouted in an exaggerated manner at being ignored by the other Tamer too. His one visible eyebrow (on account of the other being concealed by his bandana) twitched in annoyance. Given his obvious narcissistic complex, he clearly disliked not being the center of attention.
Yuko shrugged haphazardly at Yuji’s question. “What’s so wrong about the Avocado Cheeseburger? You’ve just never tried it, that’s all…” She replied, before taking a sizable bite off her burger. She watched Kazuo do the same, and smiled. It was cute in its own way, even if the insect Digimon’s sideways mouth was a bit unsettling.
The young hooligan lost her smile when asked how she became a Tamer. “You don’t have to keep calling me Senpai. I was joking earlier. Anyway, it happened last year… Me and my friends had gone for a swim, when we got sucked into the Digital World by accident.” “In their swimsuits, no less!” Jokermon added, digging into his primarily meat-focused burger with ravenous hunger, pulling the bacon with his sharpened teeth while drooling like a wild, carnivorous beast. “Yeah, that part was pretty embarrassing…” Yuko blushed ever so slightly.

"I've also never tried dipping apple slices into melted cheese but I can definitely tell you that that is a bad idea," Yuji countered. "To each their own though, I suppose." Yuji couldn't complain too much as he and his partner essentially got a free meal, right?
Yuko explained how she first was introduced to Digimon. She said that she and her friends were going for a swim before they were transported to the Digital World while in their swimsuits. "Wait, where were you guys swimming for that to happen?"
"Nothing bad happened, right?" Kazuo asked with genuine concern. "The Digital World is not a place you want to be in for long unless you have some kind of way to fight back against the wild Digimon... unless you ended up somewhere like Terminus."
After Yuko was done speaking, Yuji would share his own experience. "I actually haven't been to the Digital World yet. Kazuo and I met just a couple days ago, actually. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything and praying that this isn't just some dream I'm having, you know? I don't even know how my device thing works yet aside from that V-Pet thing."

“Apples dipped in cheese… Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t eat that. Except as a dare, maybe.” Yuko said, making a disgusted face at the notion. As far as she was concerned, the Avocado Cheeseburger was a guilty pleasure of hers. Fast food in general was very addictive, to be fair.
Hearing the female Tamer’s origin story got Kazuo all concerned, asking if anything bad had happened. “Well, we did get attacked by a wild and VERY hungry Wendigomon, but luckily Jokah managed to drive it off.” The girl replied, playfully punching her partner in the arm. “Hah! That hairy brute didn’t know what hit him!” The demonic jester bragged, magically pulling a white napkin out of his sleeve to clean his mouth after he was done wolfing down his burger.
Yuji explained how he had only met his Digimon partner recently, and was still rather wet behind the ears. “So, you’re a newbie.” Yuko smiled. “The Digivice can be upgraded to do all sorts of things, like opening portals or letting you communicate with your partner from a long distance. Phones don’t really work in the Digital World, so that’s a pretty big deal. It’s also the thing that enables Digivolution, apparently. You might wanna go to the Terminus Mall the first chance you get.”

"First thing that came to mind," Yuji said in defense as he shrugged. "I personally like to dip my french fries in mayonnaise, so I suppose I'm not one to judge anyone's food preferences."
Kazuo was relieved to hear that no one was hurt thanks to Jokermon scaring away the Wendigomon. The little bug noticed how closely bonded the two were, and it made him... well, kind of happy. He always wanted some kinda friendship like that so he always felt warm inside when he sees others that have it. Kazuo looked back up at Yuji as he ate with a slightly worried expression, asking himself a question that he had asked himself for the past couple days.
Am I truly the right one to be partnered with Yuji?
Once Yuji revealed how green he truly was, Yuko explained how the Digivice could be upgraded to do many different things. Yuji summoned his Digivice, as in it materialized on his left wrist with a blue and pink data bit effect to it... Yuko would notice that it was definitely not a standard D-3. "I kind of got that it helps make Kazuo stronger. So I have to physically upgrade it to do more things like that? And what's Terminus?"
"A city in the Digital World," Kazuo responded as he ate the last of his burger.
"That's another thing: how do you get to the Digital World? I'm really curious to see what it looks like. Does it look the same as our world, or does everything look like an animated movie there like in Code Lyoko?"

“There are portals all around Shibuya, supposedly.” Yuko replied to Yuji’s question of how to get to the Digital World, while examining his unique Digivice model. “Most of them are near Shibuya River for some reason.”
“Naturally, if taking a dip in dirty waters filled with industrial waste isn’t to your liking, you can always go to the Shibuya Train Terminal.” Jokermon added, having finally finished wiping his mouth. “Find the shut-down platform, get your Digivice scanned by the machine, and a nice old Trailmon should come to pick you up right away!” The Clown Prince of the Dark Area further explained, before pulling a tube of red lipstick out and applying it on his lips.
“The Digital World looks… ordinary-ish?” The punk girl said with a shrug. “The sky gets staticky every now and then, and the pixelated water takes some time getting used to. Other than that, it looks pretty realistic, but things get weirder the deeper in you get. Their cities look very much like our own, though… just with way more Digimon.”

"Since it is the 'Digital World', maybe there is a large amount of digital activity around the Shibuya River," Yuji said, just coming to a conclusion based on his current knowledge since he still didn't really know how all of this stuff worked. If only he knew that not even the veterans know how it all worked yet.
Jokermon provided an alternate solution if Yuji didn't feel like taking a dip in some really dirty water. He said there was a special train platform that take people in between the worlds via a Trailmon. "Let me guess: a Trailmon is a living Digimon in the shape of a train?"
"Uh huh!" Kazuo responded with a cute nod.
Yuji was a little bit disappointed to hear that the Digital World still looked like real life, just with a static-y sky and pixelated water. Still, the idea of a world made of ones and zeroes and it looking exactly like real life was still pretty cool. "The whole thing sounds like something that'd make a great TV series or video game, doesn't it?"
Suddenly a small exploding-like noise could be heard from back inside the arcade. Now that their meals were finished, Kazuo put his disguise back on so he and Yuji could go investigate what was going on inside. There was a small crowd of people around the Fatal Kombat machine, where a young adult man was staring at the machine in shock. The game cabinet in question had smoke coming from the left side of it, which has a gaping hole, and the screen was pitch black.
"What the hell...?"

Yuko also nodded in a less cute, more tomboyish sort of way. “Yup! Sometimes they’re also shaped like fish, ducks or moles, but they’re all basically trains that can talk. Told you man, the Digital World is equal parts ordinary and weird as fuck!” “Oooh, my Tamer has such a potty mouth!” Jokermon chuckled giddily.
The small explosion coming from the arcade made the duo stand on edge. They both exchanged a meaningful look, before Jokah activated his Holo-Suit to switch back into his ‘Jack White’ persona. Both of them then rushed after Yuji and Kazuo.
Once they had made their way back indoors, Yuko witnessed in abject horror the scene of the ‘crime’. “Fatal Kombat! Nooooooo!!!” She roared at the ceiling. The crowd of onlookers seemed to be just as confused as to what had happened. The delinquent girl walked up to the man standing in front of the machine and grabbed him by the collar. “Who’s responsible for this?! Who killed my baby?! Tell me!” She angrily demanded.

People in the arcade gasped when Yuko grabbed that poor man and started shaking him relentlessly, demanding to know what had happened to the Fatal Kombat arcade cabinet. "I-I-I don't know! I was just playing the game when the screen suddenly went black! I had nothing to do with this!"
"Whoa whoa whoa, what're you doing!?" Yuji said, running up to Yuko. "I know you're upset, but you can't just threaten whoever happens to be nearby, Himura!"
While that situation was going down, Kazuo inspected the damage of the arcade unit. There was a sizeable hole in the corner of the machine, which definitely destroyed a few wires and inner workings of the console. But there were also... scorch marks? Did whoever destroyed this thing set it on fire without anyone noticing?
Whoever did this is either good at blending in or can turn invisible...
Something colorful caught the bug's eye, however. It was definitely something that shouldn't have been there. Kazuo picked the object up with his pincers. It looked... green? It kinda looked like one of those building blocks that Yuji's brother Kai played with. Before he could let anyone know about what he had found, the brick flew right out of Kazuo's pincer in a seemingly random direction like magic, faster than anyone could probably process if it flew right by them.
"It couldn't be a Digimon, could it...?" Kazuo asked, mainly to himself.

The enraged hooligan glanced at Yuji, then shot another glare at the man who claimed to be innocent, before letting him go. “Fine, you’re off the hook for now. But I WILL be watching you!” She said, raising her two fingers in front of her eyes and making an ‘I’m watching you’ gesture. The disguised Jokermon wiped his forehead in relief. “Phew, that could have gone a lot worse. There’s no force in the world more dangerous than a moody woman.” He said, winking at Yuji.
Yuko also squatted on her knees to inspect the gaping hole in the machine, as well as the curious toy brick left behind by what was presumably the real culprit. “A Lego…?” The girl tilted her head confusedly. “Unlikely as it seems, this is definitely the body part of a Digimon.” ‘Jack White’ whispered, also getting down on one knee. “Question is, how do we find them?”
That was when the toy brick suddenly started flying away from them. Yuko’s pink eyes widened. “Follow that Lego!” She yelled, getting up and running after it as fast as she could. Unfortunately, it already seemed to be out of her view.

The poor man that Yuko was hassling quickly backed away from her before bolting out of the arcade entirely. Other people in the area started whispering to each other as they definitely began to start keeping their distance from the teenager now. Yuji shared "Jack's" feelings about it potentially getting much worse, but he didn't exactly know where the Digimon was coming from with the moody women bit.
Meanwhile, Yuko joined Kazuo in observing the gaping hole on the side of the unit, apparently she knew what the green brick was. "Is that was these things are called? Yuji says they hurt like hell if you step on them."
Unfortunately for Yuko, the green Lego was indeed flying away too fast to be able to keep up with it. However, it wasn't all doom and gloom just yet. "Wait, Yuko! I... I think I know what Digimon caused this."
"A Digimon?"
"Right. Specifically a ToyAgumon, a dinosaur-like Digimon completely made out of building bricks. But why would one want to destroy a video game is weird. I thought they just liked playing with children?"
"Might be a serious case of gamer rage," Yuji suggested. "We should do a stakeout, see if it tries to go after any more arcade units. Though I doubt it would come back during the day anymore."

The little Tentomon was quick to explain that the mysterious flying Lego brick actually belonged to a ToyAgumon, and was indeed a part of its body. “Splendid, so we’re both on the same page.” Jokah happily nodded, raising his aristocratic cane off the ground and holding it under his arm. “Not only that, but ToyAgumon’s righteous heart prevents them from causing any mischief. Hmmm, how curious…”
At that point, an exhausted Yuko returned to the store’s front door, panting heavily. “It was… too fast… I couldn’t… catch up…” Taking some time to catch her breath, the delinquent girl listened to Yuji’s suggestion of having a stakeout. She raised one of her pierced eyebrows curiously at that. “I guess it would be pretty stupid for it to come back during the day, but how do we know it will come back at all? What if it decides to break into another store?” The teenage Tamer pointed out.

"Not all ToyAgumons are the same, are they?" Kazuo asked Jack White. "That's kinda like saying all Tentomons are the same, for example. Maybe this one is just kinda rotten?"
Yuji and Kazuo sweatdropped when Yuko came back panting, as she had actually gone to chase after that flying Lego brick and came back unsuccessful at seeing where it went. "I don't think chasing after it was the best decision, Yuko. But you're right, it could strike anywhere else, but we don't know where else it would want to strike. If only we knew why it destroyed the Fatal Kombat machine to begin with..."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The group would hear a cry of agony coming from elsewhere in the arcade. If they went to investigate, they'd find a middle aged man with an afro and an epic mustache on his knees on top of a dancing rhythm game, his hands on his cheeks. "I couldn't beat the high scoooore!"
Other people watching the failed man would begin talking as well. "Yeah, no one can beat that score."
"Who do you think has it?"
"I don't know, no one's ever claimed to be them."
"This TAM guy must be pretty good at this game, huh?"
Yuji overheard these murmurs amongst the gamers, and his mouth formed into a slight smirk. "I bet that high score will be a synch to beat," he said out loud, wanting others to hear him.
"You know how to dance, Yuyu?" Kazuo asked his partner.
"Where do you think I learned how? Hey Yuko, it's a two player game. Wanna try to beat the high score together?"
